SSX?? in 2024??? funfacts under the cut!

I was already drawing a ton of Jak and Daxter this month so I wanted to veer toward a different game for the prompt- these two are from the SSX franchise- which I played A LOT as a kid, up until our gamecube finally died. Psymon and Zoe were my favorites and I paired them together a lot sldkfjsfdj I was crushing hard on both of them ( zoe unknowingly at the time) if I wasn't playing the game, I was making little stories about them in a 99 cent notebook.

I wish the series didn't end the way it did, but it lives on in my heart and maybe my silly little internet download from the seven seas :3C

Star Trek Beyond premiered on July 22, 2016. The film was dedicated to Anton Yelchin (Chekov), who died a month before the film's release. The film was used to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Star Trek franchise. It was the first theatrical release that protrayed Sulu (John Cho) as being gay, which created some controversy. The move was meant as a tribute to the original Sulu (George Takei), who is a prominent gay man and gay rights advocate. I think it’s really unfortunate.” J.J. Abrams handed over directing duties to Justin Lin as he was busy directing Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens. Simon Pegg (Scotty) co-wrote it with Doug Jung, Roberto Orci, Patrick McKay, and John D Payne. The film was nominated for numerous awards, but only won a Saturn Award for Best Make-Up. The film underperformed at the box office losing approximately 50.5 million dollars. The events of the film took place in March of 2263.

You know what I find really funny? How hard certain people clutch their pearl about Lore Olympus!Hades, acting as if he's "super-duper problematic", when in reality he is the softest, least offensive hero of his subgenre; "CEO/billionaire romance" — a subgenre full of possessive, controlling, abusive, alpha male billionares whose lovers aren't safe from their darkness.

Hades isn't any of those things, except for the CEO and super wealthy bits.

The haters compare him to Christian Grey? Hades isn't your typical CEO hero, let alone a cruel one like Grey; who's not even the darkest male love interest this subgenre has to offer! Amongst the heavyweights, you have Anthony Rawlings (Consequences by Aleatha Romig), Richard Payne (Ward by Zoe Blake), Joshua Smith (Tamara, Taken by Ginger Talbot), Darren Davis (Stolen by Jay Marie), Nikolas Constantinos (All That Glitters by Linda Howard), and Calvin Cutler (Descent by Sam Marino). These guys make Grey look boringly-tame.

Nebraska

His film, “Nebraska” was an interesting film on American society. The film's lighting was designed to accommodate black and white screening, and was converted from color to black and white in post-production because Payne said he wanted to produce an "iconic, archetypal look”. The film follows Wood Grant, played by Bruce Dern, receiving a sweepstakes notice in the mail and insists on making a 750-mile trip to Lincoln, Neb., to collect his prize, it falls to baffled son David (Will Forte) to accompany him. During a stop in their Nebraska hometown, word gets out about Woody's fortune, first making him a hero, then later, the target of predatory people. This is a realistic representation of society today in the United States. People only begin to notice you when you become either rich or famous. People try to go from being friendly to trying to be best friends and then ultimately predators, trying to feed off of your success or luck.
