It is 12 km West to Kotor as best safeguarded Baroque whole on Montenegrin coast. The development of the town culminated with strengthening of the navy in the XVII and XVIII century. Major most beautiful buildings were built at that time. The palaces of famous captains were built in Baroque style and these are: Bujovic Palace from 1693, then Zmajovic, Badovic and Smekja.
