Bergerak

“Bergeraklah, karena dalam pergerakan ada keberkahan”

Mengapa dalam pergerakan ada keberkahan? Apa arti berkah itu?

Bergerak, entah apapun bentuknya, adalah bentuk kesyukuran kita sebagai manusia terhadap segala sumber daya yang Allah berikan kepada kita. Allah karuniakan akal untuk berfikir, mata untuk melihat, telinga untuk mendengar, tangan untuk berkarya, kaki untuk berjuang, bahkan hati untuk merasa. 

Maka dengan segala hal itu, bergeraklah, bersyukurlah! 

Lalu apa hubungannya dengan keberkahan? Mari kita ingat potongan ayat yang bisa kita baca di surat Ibrahim ayat 7, “Jika kalian bersyukur maka Aku (Allah) akan menambahkan nikmat kepadamu, tetapi jika kamu mengingkari (nikmat-Ku), maka pasti azab-Ku sangat berat.”

Jika kita bersyukur, maka Allah akan menambahkan nikmat. Dan bukankah begitu, makna barakah secara istilah? Dalam  Ensiklopedia Tasawuf, Hujjatul Islam Imam Al Ghazali menerangkan, bahwa makna barakah adalah Ziyaa-datul Khoir, yang berarti bertambahnya kebaikan

Maka patutlah jika kita bergerak, kita akan mendapat keberkahan. Karena bergerak, sekali lagi, adalah bentuk kesyukuran, dan setiap kesyukuran akan mendapatkan tambahan nikmat, tambahan kebaikan

Working title: Call of The Dragon.

A strange man with strange markings on their skin washes up on the riverbank of a small fishing village. Taken in by an elven family with a spare bed and aided by the two.... human?.... magic users next door, the discovery of what they are leads them to band together with a human (definitely this time) cartographer, an adepti doctor, and a mermaid who lost half of their tail and is friends with the elf and real fucking bored of this one bit of river and demands to join them to go on a quest to discover what happen to the rest of Ziyaa's people.

While their first lead results in a painful dead end, they learn more useful information, and gain more friends willing to help them.

Zaryph I'ivaewh Yanchae An-Aikah, also known as Ziyaa, he/they/it

A dragon whose horns have been broken and power lost, the catalyst of our story. Awaking in a recognised land but unrecognised civilisation, the stories of dragons long gone causes Ziyaa obvious concern, and endeavours to find any others remaining and regain its former honour.

Aevair, any pronouns

An elven fisher, who has managed to start a pattern of finding rare beings injured while she's just trying to moor the boat. He started with a mermaid on a rock, and then a dragon on a riverbank. If they had a bronze for every time it happened, xe'd have two bronzes, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice.

A strong fisher and a knowledgable forager, Aevair proves to be the only certain way Ziyaa will eat anything more than raw meat.

Nico, he/him

A mermaid from the depths of the sea. While out hunting one night, he got trapped in a fishing net. Rather than aiding the mermaid, the owners of the net simply slashed his tail, leaving him bleeding out in the ocean and unable to swim. As Aevair's own crew came back later in the same morning, they found him, and took him into their village to help him.

While a prosthetic leg could aid Nico in walking around the village, little could be done to repair his tail, as the people who made his leg could not create a replacement tail that would survive in the deep sea, leaving Nico stuck in a small fishing village by a river and only occasionally being aided in swims in the shallows.

With the revelation Aevair is leaving with Ziyaa, Nico insists he come as well. His reasoning is sound, he's used to living in a large area, so it's only fair he joins the quest across the world rather than staying in the village.

Qingyi (1), pronouns variable, and Xuan (2), he/him

Aevair's neighbours, they become aware of Ziyaa when Aevair asks for some clothes to help keep them warm, as Ziyaa is closer in height to the pair than any of the elves in Aevair's family.

While they have lived in the village for a while and are more than happy to help everyone out - well, Qingyi is and will often simply force their husband to join in - little is actually known about them.

They appeared in the village one day, Xuan covered in Qingyi's blood from deep wounds on their eye and shoulder. Though the village believed them to simply be adventurers, they never stated that themselves and didn't leave once Qingyi was healed, becoming a part of the community. They appear to be human, but don't seem to age like humans.

They are both magic users, Qingyi able to manipulate air, and Xuan's powers not having a specific name, but lovingly called by Qingyi and the rest of the village "oceanecromany". Xuan does not call it that.

Raine, they/them

A human cartographer met in the nearest market city.

Before the team makes too much progress, Aevair suggests getting someone experienced with maps for the obvious reason of not getting lost. Raine willingly joins them as there are many places they wish to map that often need explorers and adventurers to aid safe navigation and a team willing to partner with them to almost wherever will prevent them from having to delay by finding new teams, making it a win-win situation.

Baizhu: The White Snake, he/him viewed as Baizhu, she/her viewed as The White Snake

A doctor from the market city. While the public believe them to be human, Ziyaa quickly identifies them as an Adepti.

To Ziyaa, Adepti were highly respected magical beings, even earning respect from the dragons themselves. No Adepti has the same creature form, the form being the source of their title. There are numerous ways Adepti can be born, but The White Snake is unique in that her title can be passed to other beings, alongside the memories of predecessors. Though The White Snake herself only gives the details of this to someone about to receive this, those who wish to speculate often come to the conclusion that it is relevant to her existence as a healer.

To everyone else, the venom or poison (it depends on what their creature form is as to whether the toxin is a venom or poison, but as Bai's is a venom, that's how I will refer to it henceforth) of an Adepti will grant you immortality, a desire that lead to them being hunted to near extinction, Baizhu very probably the last one due to the differences between The White Snake and her family.

Aevair goes to Baizhu with the request that he join the team as their in-team healer and doctor. He declines, Aevair settling with simply taking medical supplies. It's only when his assistant talks about the situation with him that he begins to consider the possibilities it will bring him. If there's still a dragon alive, there's a chance some other Adepti also survived. A chance he is not alone. And if that dragon can identify Adepti so quickly, that dragon is his best chance at finding them.

The team grows by 5 at the end of the first arc, but for now I'll keep them from you. For the enticement.

Barakah Pun Perlu Dijaga!

Masih membekas dalam ingatan, saat saya mengadu kepada salah satu kakak tingkat, "Mas kenapa kok kaya gini dilarang? Kok harus gini, padahal ditempat lain gak ada masalah".

Jawaban kakak tingkat saya kala itu, cukup singkat dan padat "Dek, ada keberkahan yang harus dijaga".

Saat itu saya belum sama sekali sadar apa sebenarnya arti dari kalimat itu, atau bahkan sengaja lupa tentang kaidah keberkahan dan qadarullah beberapa hari yang lalu Allah tunjukan di depan mata saya.

Barakah setelah saya ingat-ingat memiliki arti secara istilah 'Ziyaa-datul khoir' bertambahnya kebaikan atau secara bahasa berarti bertumbuh.

Maka, saya tersadar bahwa kalimat 'ada keberkahan yang harus dijaga' memiliki makna yang dalam. Ya, barakah itu bukan tentang banyak sedikitnya, bukan tentang berhasil gagalnya, bukan tentang menang kalahnya, bukan tentang hasilnya tapi prosesnya.

Barakah adalah kebaikan yang bertambah, kebaikan yang bertumbuh sehingga menciptakan kebaikan yang lain dan sangat dirasakan oleh banyak orang. Barakah adalah efek domino kebaikan.

Saat kita melakukan kebaikan dan setelahnya muncul keinginan berbuat baik atau bahkan muncul kebaikan yang baru dan lebih dahsyat, maka disitulah keberkahan turun.

Seperti di bulan ramadhan ini, saat kita hanya berniat tilawah satu juz, ternyata malah lewat 3 juz. Saat kita melihat pemandangan orang-orang berlomba menyediakan ta'jil untuk berbuka. Saat waktu siang dan malamnya terasa sangat lama. Itulah barakah, itulah keberkahan.

Maka, mari menjaga keberkahan dalam setiap kebaikan yang kita ikhtiarkan, sehingga menciptakan kebaikan yang baru, atau semoga saja kebaikan itu terus menerus tumbuh tak terbendung dan menjadikan kita pemegang saham kebaikan terbesar.

Menjaga keberkahan memang terkadang sulit, tapi disitulah rahmat Allah akan hadir.
