Iwájú Trailer

In futuristic Lagos, Nigeria, Tol is a young girl from the wealthy island and Kole, a self-taught tech expert, is her best friend. The two discover the secrets and dangers hidden in their quite different worlds.

Kugali and Walt Disney Animation's Iwájú is directed by Olufikayo Ziki Adeola from a screenplay by Adeola and Halima Hudson. Hamid Ibrahim serves as production designer on the series and Toluwalakin Olowofoyeku serves as cultural consultant. Iwájú stars the voice talents of Simisola Gbadamosi (Tola), Siji Soetan (Kole), Dayo Okeniyi, Femi Branch, and Weruche Opia.

Iwájú drops on Disney+ on February 28, 2024.

omg yess I would love that!<3 you see. am mostly a poet like I've done poetry for a few years now and I've been told i would be well ya know not to shabby at writing..! but I try at times then i end up rambling, on and on, about some stupid side story or whatever lol #writer problems , anyways i will totally use the tip!! thank you! and outline? do you have some examples lol? Hi Zikie !!! i'll start putting together a post for tips i personally use and hopefully it can help you or other writers! and i looovvee poetry !! i took many classes at uni and i'm even in the middle of writing a poetry book to publish <33 the biggest thing about writing is rambling: always write!! and don't delete anything while you're rambling bcs it can inspire new ideas down the road.

i met with one of my favorite writers during uni and when i asked for any advice to forthcoming writers, she told us to just write. constantly and endlessly. carry around a journal or notepad. never use your phone bcs it's too easy to delete stuff. the backspace is your enemy. and tbh it's helped me so much.

more below the cut to address your questions:

yes!! outline your work! here's an outline I have set up for ASS part 3. a little sneak peak if you will for the next chapter.

obviously this isn't everything but small snippets to show the plot and flush out ideas. i can include a longer one since i cut it off here to avoid spoilers. and of course i create small scenes/blurbs as the ideas come to me. here's an example of the scene i imagined described in the above outline.

sometimes they're written randomly but still in the same order and i just need to fill in the gaps. i currently have blurbs written out for part 4 and i haven't even finished part 3 LOL. but that's okay!! as long as the ideas are written down. there are times that i don't even use the idea or i end up changing it in the end. this goes back to what i said previously; write!! always write down your ideas even if you might not use it later. it can help inspire new ones.

and i'm more than happy to look at your writing! just use the submission box instead of the ask box so i can keep them separated <3

angel dust is a great character to write for and i feel like i write the best for him at times. a great way to capture his personality (or anyones from the hellaverse) is to really deep dive the available lore and rewatch scenes from the show. i had to do this with alastor bcs i find him the hardest to write for at times ;-;;
