RAIDEN KUNIKUZUSHI

-21 years old, the final member to join 4nemo (in his freshman year of high school); sings middle harmonies typically. his singing voice has a very even, lyrical quality -played Scaramouche in 4nemo's commedia dell'arte-inspired music video for their song "Elogia Cinerosa" and wore a huge hat. 5wirls do not let him live it down -has a difficult relationship with his mother (Raiden Ei); dislikes his step-mother Guuji Yae due to her teasing nature -childhood friends with y/n, and intends to keep a promise they both made to each other (but it seems to him like only he remembers it) -Kunikuzushi visits y/n annually to celebrate Lantern Rite in Liyue with their family; in return, y/n visits him in Inazuma during Windtrace over summers (his mother constantly mistakes them for a couple, and they have given up convincing her otherwise at this point) -he does not particularly like cats, but still plays along with y/n's cat rating game because he enjoys their reactions -has 3 accounts: his official 4nemo account (Kunikuzushi), his casual/personal account (theballadeer), and his private account.

VENTI VOGEL

-23 years old, a founding member of 4nemo who sings the highest harmonies -is the oldest in the group despite looking (and often acting) like the youngest -academically brilliant and skipped a few years in school, completed a performance degree while actively participating in 4nemo throughout, and is currently taking advantage of 4nemo's hiatus to finally pursue a master's in music composition -recently released his first solo album "Winds and Idylls", which 5wirls find refreshing -is friends with two of the professors at y/n's university (Professor Zhongli and Professor Kusanali) and refuses to explain how or why those friendships formed

AETHER TRAVERS

-21 years old, a founding member of 4nemo who sings lower harmonies -is twins with Lumine, and knows y/n from singing together in middle school -when he was scouted for 4nemo, he and Lumine were separated, and so she stayed in Liyue while he moved to Mondstadt to train; they both jokingly refer to it as "The Great Calamity" since they'd never been apart before then -since 4nemo is on hiatus, he is freeloading at y/n and Lumine's apartment, and will occasionally sneak into photography classes on-campus (and he gets away with it because Albedo is the teaching assistant)

XIAN XIAO

-22 years old, a founding member of 4nemo who sings lower harmonies -is the reason Venti is friends with Zhongli, but also refuses to explain why or how the two met (but it has something to do with his past) -is an introvert and typically does not use his social media accounts as often as his 4nemo peers, though he does regularly communicate with his fellow members -is using his free time during the hiatus to study martial arts in Liyue

KAEDEHARA KAZUHA

-21 years old, was the first addition to 4nemo's members; sings middle harmonies -can play several woodwind instruments, but is meme'd by 5wirls for the one time he played a kazoo at a meet-and-greet -is part of the reason 4nemo is on hiatus, since he wanted to attend Sumeru University -majors in creative writing and shares classes with y/n and Xingqiu -teases Xingqiu about his love life, but is in a similar situation with his own best friend (oh the irony)

SHIKANOIN HEIZOU

-21 years old, was the second addition to 4nemo's members; sings upper harmonies -is very good at beatboxing, and sometimes does it to annoy his friends in public -is the other reason 4nemo is on hiatus, and wants to eventually become a private detective -is a criminal justice major at Sumeru, shares most of his classes with Lumine (and they are obnoxious about it) AJAX NOVIKOV

-21 years old -majors in marketing at Sumeru University and is the living embodiment of "C's get degrees." he comes from a wealthy family, though, so doesn't care much about his gpa -was Kunikuzushi's friend in middle school and considers himself a 5wirlie despite not knowing a single 4nemo song title -plays video games competitively and actually has a significant following online for it (but also just because he's good-looking and sings meme songs often)

KAMISATO AYATO

-21 years old, majoring in business leadership -has a minor in law and government, so shares a few classes some semesters with Lumine and Heizou -is childhood friends with Kazuha -is the CEO of Kamisato Corp., though several of his duties fall to Ayaka while he is abroad studying -is not a 5wirlie, but joins Ajax whenever he decides to attend an 4nemo concert for the sheer humor of it -is friends with Albedo Kreideprinz and has commissioned artwork from him before for his office

Summary: As your final semester in university begins, your childhood friend-turned international idol Kunikuzushi decides to make good on the promise he made to you all those years ago.

“Oh boy.” After paying, the bard looked inside his purse with disappointment before closing it. “I might need to slow down a little with drinking this month… It would do no good to go completely broke.” He looked up to the sky in thought. “Well, when push comes to shove, I could always go freeload off of Zhongli for a while… –hm?”

He stopped in his tracks, feeling something other than stone under his shoe. He looked downwards, noticing a sheet of paper he happened to accidentally step on. 

“A commission from the Adventurer’s Guild?” He lifted it to inspect it further. “‘I need three apples to bake an apple pie. Payment: 2,775 mora’ – Almost twice a good drink’s worth, just for picking three apples?! Didn’t think people would actually put up such commissions…” he mumbled, leaning against the nearest wall.

“It really does seem to be this easy… Ah, nothing to lose, am I right?”

“And your age?”

“Thirty,” he said confidently, crossing his arms.

All of a sudden there was a commotion beside them. He turned his head in the direction of the sound– to see pieces of a pot lying on the ground, a calico cat standing in its previous place on the stone wall above. Its face projected a clear example of the look you’d normally give someone who was talking total… bullpoop, is how Diona would probably put it.

Venti sniffled.

He looked at his reflection in the nearest window. Well, he couldn’t exactly blame it, could he? 

It would be nice to not be treated like a kid, and in theory he did have the power to change that, however…

“Sir Venti? Forgive me, but are you sure this information is accurate?”

Ah, whatever. That oh-so passionate bard’s memory could not be thus easily forgotten. And what if people underestimate him? … It makes it all the more fun to mess around with them.

“Haha, sorry! I’m joking, clearly. Write down twenty.”

The puppet still looked skeptical, but this time noted it without further questions.

“So, when can I start? I’m quite eager, you see.”

“Did you seriously forget to bring Mora again? What happened to your walking wallet Childe?” Aether facepalmed as Zhongli had yet again waved off another bill, telling them someone else would foot it. 

“You parasite!” Paimon pouted and crossed her arms. 

“The Funeral Parlour is always willing to, uh.. cover my expenses. And I do work for them in return after all.” Zhongli announced, still making his way out as if nothing was wrong.

As he approached the door, he felt a tug on the back of his shirt. Aether was standing behind him with a somewhat annoyed but also mischievous expression on his face. “Pay up… or I will be telling your dear director to make you do some weird tasks. Maybe we could have you deal with some slimes or something…” The Traveler began pondering some various ideas as Zhongli grimaced at the thought and memory that popped into his head.

However, he soon snapped out of these thoughts when he felt two hands grip his sides and squeeze, “Gyah! Wh-What…” Looking down, Aether had him in a strong grasp with a smirk on his face.

“Traveler…?”

“Tickles for your tea? Fair trade… right?”

Before old Morax could even react, Aether began rapidly squeezing his sides. Zhongli let out a squeak before covering his mouth with one hand and using the other to try and fend off his attacker. His deep chuckles emanated throughout the now empty tavern, grateful no one was there to hear him.

“W-Wait hahahah- what are you dohihihing!?!?”

In his attempt to escape, and Aether’s slight pushing, he backed into a table in a corner by the door, now trapped in and doing poorly to defend himself. The blonde skittered his fingers up and down Zhongli’s sides repeatedly. 

“If you won’t pay with mora, you’re paying with laughter~”

“I-I said the parlour would pa-AHAHAHAHA!!!” The Archon's laughter rose as Aether managed to get his hands under Zhongli’s jacket, now discovering that his ribs were awfully sensitive.

“I wonder if all the Archons are this sensitive?” Paimon flew over and curiously watched with a smug look on her face.

“We should totally tell the Director… or better yet, Childe!” 

“Nononohohohoho please!! Not Chihihihihilde!!!” Zhongli managed to blurt out, his face became more flushed when Childe was mentioned, and this did not go unnoticed by Aether.

“Oh? Why not Childe? I thought he would be no match for you?” 

The blonde slowed down his tickling, allowing Zhongli to breathe. But still leaving his hands on the older man's sides, tapping his fingers in anticipation.

“N-no reason.. I just, you know, he would probably think this is just silly and childish… A-And…” 

Zhongli was becoming more and more flustered than when he was being tickled.

“Mr Zhongli~ Don’t think you’re getting out of this!” Paimon shouted.

“Perhaps we should let him go for now, Paimon. I am sure Childe will figure out something happened anyway~ And we should also keep him guessing when we will meet again so we can tickle him some more.” Aether teased.

Zhongli sighed in some relief and cleared his throat, ���Uh… well, th-thank you for the tea and um…  the tickles, I guess..” He stammered.

“Enjoy your trip back Mr Zhongli!” Paimon happily waved him off with Aether.

Zhongli was secretly praying no one noticed how flustered he was leaving the tavern.

what i think genshin boys type would be... y'all this is rushed asf and was written in like 10 mins on a bus so don’t think this chicken-scratch even matches  my actual writing, I was the English valedictorian after all.

I personally think he doesn’t give a shit how you look, the man is 2000+ years old he’s above that, I think its more personality for him. someone quiet, calm and preferably not clingy is all he wants, someone he can bask in the presence of without having them talking and bothering him 24/7 so he is still able to attend to his duties as a yaksha (same here bestie)

Albedo (my beloved mad scientist)

He also isn’t one to care about looks, he wants someone smart, calm, quiet and confident. I think smarts is probably the biggest factor he wants someone to ramble about alchemy and have them understand and get into deep conversation with and maybe even double as his lab partner. I don’t see him being able to deal with an airhead considering he doesn’t have the greatest attention span.

Scaramouche (Will he do the fandango?)

He isn’t picky about looks but you HAVE to be shorter than him, he loves being taller than you it makes him feel powerful. as for personality I think he would like someone that is either a really smart sadist like him or a masochistic airhead that he can use to his liking. 

Xingqiu (my beloved book twink)

Looks don’t matter but he’d prefer if you were shorter so he could tease the living shit out of you for it (i know from experience), as for personality and other shit you better be smart otherwise he probably won’t even pay you any attention, as for books it would be easy to win him over if you were also a bookworm but if not it doesn’t matter I guess you just have to be good at pulling pranks.

Chongyun (the Hotter Jack Frost)

TBH I think he would be grateful for anyone to be looking at him romantically...or sexually. I’m sorry but this mans ego is so low from Xingqiu’s pranks that it doesn’t matter if your looks are akin to a deformed hillichurl and your an absolute airhead he would love you no matter what. (i bet your really pretty/handsome tho)

OK so i originally wrote this differently but someone was kind enough to point out a few things in his voice lines and story that contradict what my dumb ass wrote and i also sorta hated the old nickname i gave him so heres the edited version:

that is exactly how i envision zhongli's small dragon form to be.

just think of small zhongli barking out orders in that tiny form. the servants find it hard to keep a straight face at first, but then one look from this cuddly beast, they're instantly reminded of how terrifying he could be.

sometimes, you can spot him standing up with a cute little apron on while he's doing his rounds to check for any messy or dirty places. venti joins him as well but only to freeload and piss him off.

In my opinion, I think that Genshin Impact is just a game? If they want to use Zhongli and Barbara, just let them use who they want?

Why are you trying to ruin the fun for other people. That anon genuinely sounded sad because they just wanted to have fun using Zhongli but everyone was being mean to them.

And what do you mean Barbara is not a good support. She's a healer??? Healing is important in this game??? The other anon didn't even mention anything about using Barbara in a cryo domain, so why are you assuming that??

I once joined a random team online. And one of the other players was being rude to a Barbara main. Me and the host told this player to stop being rude and obnoxious.

Guess what? The Barbara main saved this obnoxious player multiple times during the domain. Because when you get hit. You take damage. And Barbara HEALS.

And I don't think there's such a thing as a useless character? Every character has a niche, it's up to you to exploit that niche. If you build the character properly, any character can be OP.

I'm an Albedo and Benny main, and I'm super happy to see Zhonglis in Lv90 domains because he can petrify enemies. It makes things easier for the rest of the team.

I don't know what counts as "freeloading" to you... but even if someone on the team isn't as strong, shouldn't you try to help them instead of kicking them?

What's the point of having all the strong characters and the best artifacts when you're not willing to help new players out. You were once a new player too, it wouldn't hurt to help others.

I still remember the people who helped me when I was weak. I try to stick around and help new players farm for artifacts if they ask for my help now.

Project 888 - Day 119

Thanks to getting the last two Fragile Resin from this update’s Battle Pass, I’m now back on track and ready to get back to grinding as usual. My count for Elegance materials is on par with the counts for my other materials with the lowest remaining totals.

It’ll all still need some balancing out, but now things are in the range where I can easily do that on a Sunday as opposed to having to condense resin like I have been.

Due to the presence of Shinobu in the party, my team’s capability inside of domains has been diluted somewhat, since I haven’t given her any artifacts or leveled her talents past 2. This is also the case for Yelan, who hasn’t quite reached Friendship Rank 10 yet.

So my domain clears have slowed down considerably, and have essentially devolved into strategies which are easy and safe to execute, such as pairing Hu Tao with Zhongli. I’m considering making an attempt to remedy this, but I’m not sure what I can do without making a substantial investment in either of the two freeloaders currently in the party (which would take away time and resources which I’d prefer to dedicate to Project 888).

All in all, it’s not an issue that I’m desperate to solve. Since I’m still able to clear domains in spite of the difficulty added by being down two characters, I can do without for a while. But maybe I’ll look into some small things that might be worthwhile, like borrowing weapons and artifacts from characters I don’t typically use.

Kaeya a freeloader. But hey he does chores and goes on grocery shopping when supplies are low.

Childe another freeloader but he picks fights on the gym. He does chores and pull on the breakfast in bed card as an apology for every trouble he cause.

Zhongli AND Albedo. Bruh if they met I don't think either of them would stop talking. And yes please sandwich tutor 🥰 Zhongli got that voice and Albedo got that voice (I love both of their voices honestly), they're both strict and picky but their praises just has my whole heart uwu Whats with this double duo? Childe+Kaeya living in the same room as you? That's asking for chaos. I think they'll be the type to be video-gaming all night in your house laughing at max volume while you try to finish your work (just imagine having two older brothers and you're the youngest). The only mature one is you and you're taking care of two teenagers before they get in trouble with the police or something.

Edit: I forgot Xiao😭😭 okay okay lemme make up or this. I think the reason why I missed him because as you said, he's an Edward Cullen dark type of guy who hides in the shadows ahaha. Though, he's similar to Diluc in terms of how he wants to approach you. Just the fact he tags around you when you don't realize it which you always tell him to notify beforehand since it ends up being a jumpscare.

I'm on laptop but I'm prompted to type more LOL don't wanna go too far otherwise imma turn it into a fic and force myself to finish it in the next 5k word :') DOOM ah well maybe in the future. For now let us indulge ourselves in Brother's Conflict Genshin Parody while we can.

infodumping abt a few genshin ocs below the cut here because i have brainrot and nowhere 2 put it.  u are not obligated 2 read any of this i just adore them

xiaoxue:

a minor deity from another land that was struck down while visiting liyue, though she’s cagey on the details of both her fall and her origins.  she was found by zhongli not long after he began assuming his human facade, who took her back and nursed her back to health, sensing her divinity (  though he would have helped anyone he found  ).  upon coming to, she peppered him for information on liyue and, after a time, elected to stay beside him as she regained her strength; nothing for reaffirming divinity than being near an archon, after all.  she takes the name xiaoxue for her stay in the region and works at wangsheng funeral parlor to pass the time and keep from being a freeloader.  regal, mature, and startlingly beautiful, she also has quite a temper that few will ever see.  has some will they or won’t they with zhongli, and they often bicker like a married couple, especially regarding his mora nonsense.

despite the arguing, xiaoxue has a very high opinion of zhongli and dislikes childe (  and, for a time, the traveler  ) as she doesn’t believe them to be worth his time.  cryo, uses a claymore.  presses flowers in her spare time, and detests death, despite her current occupation.

kazane:

an expatriate from inazuma who’ll tell you a different story every time you ask how and why she left.  a very impressive gambler and prankster, he’s known throughout liyue (  her current hideout, though not his first since leaving inazuma  ) for being utterly unscrupulous in anything related to money; breaking contracts, cheating gambling, weighted dice, hidden cards, etc.  the problem is that nobody can prove his bullshit in the moment, which has allowed her to narrowly avoid arrest more times than she can count.  he’s fond of duping those stronger than him and escaping with her wits.  that his attitude about money, contracts and deals is exactly opposite the liyue culture and religion means there’s plenty of people to escape from!  despite her reputation, he can always goad others into gambling or betting with her despite knowing he’ll probably renege, and she always comes out on top.  if you ask around, though, you’ll hear whispers that she can often be found giving his ill - gotten winnings to those worse - off than her.  member of the xinyan fanclub.

anemo, uses a catalyst.  but some swear they’ve seen him with a pyro vision ——— i wonder if that has anything to do with why she avoids the fatui like the plague?

sylvie:

a resident of fontaine and a deeply precocious child (  and i do mean child; she’s got the klee model thing happening, and is like...8  ), sylvie is a witch - in - training, and quite the prodigy at that!  she’s attending a university there despite her young age, and is one of the brightest dendro users the nation has seen.  she’s an excellent healer specifically!  still, her single - minded devotion and insistence that she can “hear” plants and the earth itself has earned her a reputation for being strange or creepy, so others often avoid her.  that she doesn’t seem to notice makes it worse; she’s constantly offering herb sachets, homemade cookies or medicine, or affection to her (  intellectual  ) peers at university, which only makes others find her odder.  thus, she’s a bit lonely, though the plants are always there for her.  she loves gardening, squirrels, and has cutesy rabbit ears!

last year, when visiting sumeru for study, she heard talk of the great witch lisa, and sent her a letter to say hi — imagine her surprise when she wrote back!  they’ve been pen pals ever since.  sylvie tells lisa all about her plant friends, and lisa’s never once talked (  or written, one supposes  ) down to her about it.  sylvie really wants to visit mondstadt soon so she can meet her best friend in person!!

Hehe, good to know! I would be more worried if you two aren't doing quite well after the whole fiasco. Although I know those two struggle in comprehending emotions and what they feel, I can't lie and say that them doing this is rather... Effective, ehe!

Ah... As for that, it's only because of them. They were really worried about you, and as much as I wish to not meddle in the business of my children, you are a dear friend of theirs and a lover of Morax's- and I can see why. It is rather unfortunate that I couldn't do much other than that to help; he's a clever one, and they've almost succeeded had you stuck around, hehe. But yes, no need to thank me; I figured I should pitch in when it counts~

Mm... In the future, I'll catch up with that old rock. I'm quite a busy bard myself! Though, my beloved would say otherwise considering they keep reminding me of being a 'freeloader'...

Though, on the topic of my windblume... They've been out of sorts after that. I can't say that they've lost their vision or anything, but I believe its from the disconnection they feel that they've been enduring such a matter. They'll be fine after a few days~ the consequences of being stuck in such a domain can take on one's body, after all!

... Although, if they do keep acting like this, then do let me know. I do know that the detective they always butt heads with seem to be keenly aware of their change in behavior, so if there's anyone you can trust on this matter than me, it'd be him. Even I'm aware this matter is not to be taken lightly.

Anyway, I believe I should head off. I'm sure we'll be in touch if this silly bard found some more information, or simply want to mess with that old man. See you two later!

“Alright," Yanfei scowls as soon as she gets her boots off, “I know why I’m here. Why are you always here, freeloader?”

“Yanfei,” Zhongli chides, brows furrowing as Yanfei stomps past him to jab her finger into Hu Tao’s cheek. “Have a care.”

“Where’s your grandmother?” Azhdaha asks, taking several of the bags Ganyu had been holding from her.

“You know how popular she is,” Yanfei shrugs. “Her schedule is more jam packed than mine and Ganyu’s combined. She said she’d get a taxi later. Oi, TaoTao, that better not be my chrysanthemum tea.”

“What, do you live here?" Hu Tao retorts, sucking obnoxiously from the bright yellow box in her hand. “You’re so bossy.”

Yanfei hurries past her into the kitchen. The sound of the refrigerator opening is punctuated with Yanfei’s yowl of infuriated vindication.

She stomps back out and jabs her finger at Hu Tao again. “That isn’t just my chrysanthemum tea, that’s the last of one! Who raised you, a pack of wolves? And you had the shamelessness to eat the last of the sunflower seeds the last time we came over, too!”

“These are things that are meant to be eaten!” Hu Tao exclaims, hunching over to protect her juice box as Yanfei dives at the other woman to try and yank it out of her hands. “Aiy! Watch it! What are you trying to do here? I’ve already started drinking it!”

“I’m gonna finish it!”

“Xiao, Ganyu,” Zhongli says. “My upholstery.”

Xiao and Ganyu both immediately drop what they were doing to separate the woman play-fighting on the couch before a single drop of tea can be spilled.

“I’ll buy your more,” Aether consoles Yanfei, looping an arm around her leg and gently tugging until she shuffles over and sits next to him on the floor. He nudges the bowls of peeled chestnuts towards her.

Yanfei casts one last forlorn look at the box of tea in Hu Tao’s hands before tucking into the chestnuts.

Zhongli runs his hand over the back of Hu Tao’s head. “Don’t taunt her, A-Tao. Get along with your friends.”

Hu Tao slouches, eyes rolling. “Relax, relax. It’s all in good fun.”

“It’s all in good fun until one of you spills on my freshly cleaned furniture and floors,” Zhongli corrects. “And then who’ll clean that mess, hm? I certainly haven’t ever seen you with a mop.”

Hu Tao, this time, had the grace to look properly chided.

“I still don’t get why you’re always here,” Yanfei huffs. “I’m here because I’m dating their favorite daughter.”

“She’s our only daughter,” Azhdaha points out dryly, casting a critical eye over Ganyu. “Have you lost weight again? You’re not eating properly. Are you drinking the tea I mailed you?”

“Yes, shushu,” Ganyu says, sounding thoroughly exasperated but unable to say anything back.

“Every day?” He presses, eyes narrowing.

“Every day, shushu.”

“The full suggested serving size? All of it? And you’re preparing it correctly? You’re not letting it get cold? You’re not over steeping? A-Li, stop fussing with Xiao’s hair. What’s done is done. If he’s cut it too short, it’s too short. Ganyu’s wasting away.”

“Look at how they fuss over her,” Yanfei sighs, nudging Aether, “The tragic fate of a daughter with doting parents. She could be as round as a seal, as decadently fed as a prized koi fish, and they’d still fuss.”

Meanwhile, Aether is watching where Zhongli has parked Xiao by the front window and is examining the back of his head, turning it back and forth one way and then the other, eyes narrowed in critical examination.

“I don’t know about that. The fate of an only son looks pretty bad from where I’m looking.” Aether turns back towards Hu Tao. “But really why are you always here?”

“Rude,” Hu Tao huffs. “I’m a joy to be around.”

“Agree to disagree. Isn’t it weird that you’re always at your employee’s house?”

“How can it be weird, I basically paid for half the things in here.”

Yanfei’s mouth twists because there’s something wrong with the logic there but she can’t quite figure it out.

“Hu Tao’s family lives in the countryside,” Zhongli says, passing the three of them as he and Azhdaha shuffle Ganyu and Xiao into the kitchen to continue their fussing in a setting that’s better equipped for them to do something about their threats of feeding and grooming. “It’s not good for her to be alone all the time. She needs to eat well.”

“You heard the man,” Hu Tao says, swinging her foot out to kick Yanfei’s back. “It’s not good for me to be alone all the time. I’m a delicate maiden who shouldn’t be left alone.”

Yanfei rolls her eyes so hard that she has to shut them. “Ow.”

Now it’s Aether’s turn to roll his eyes.

All of them go still and turn towards the kitchen where they can hear the sounds of Xiao meekly protesting and the sound of the porch screen door opening.

“They’re going to fix his hair,” Aether says. “They really did not approve of that hair cut.”

“It looks exactly the same as his regular hair cut,” Hu Tao points out as she slides off the couch to wiggle in between Yanfei and Aether. Yanfei elbows her and Hu Tao elbows back before the two women quickly link arms and knock their heads together, leaning against each other.

“It’s slightly shorter in one part somewhere around here,” Aether explains, gesturing to the back of his head. “I can’t tell either. Xiao can. The second he saw it he knew that they’d know but he was hoping they’d let it slide as a stylistic choice because he doesn’t actually want all of his hair to be that short.”

“I thought your eyesight was supposed to go the older you get,” Yanfei marvels as the sound of snipping shears starts up. “How short was it in comparison?”

“I don’t know. I literally could not see or feel a difference,” Aether says. “I would accuse him of being paranoid but here we are. He was right. It wasn’t paranoia, it was just foresight.”
