Late Night Confession
Tumblr media
Requested by anonymous: Hi! I just watched FIYS and can you do an imagine about K? Uhmm, maybe an AU where Tong Yao* has a sister who also games with the alias “Heartbreaker” and K unknowingly plays with her while Tong Yao smiles to herself when she saw K lost against her sister and made her sister visit at the dorm during University breaks and both K and Tong Yao’s sister slowly start to fall for each other?
Pairing: K x fem!reader
Word Count: 3496 words
A/N Sorry for the long wait on this one, I was a bit busy... Hope you enjoy this one, it is a bit longer than normal.
Btw, after this I'm taking a break again, because I got exams coming up. after that I'm back for requests :)
Tumblr media
The game was boring, something that was clear to most fans as they watched K's live. He was sighing loudly, his fingers lazily tapping the keyboard as he moved his mouse while also rolling his eyes every five seconds. The people he played with and against were no good, their messy playstyle just gave K a headache and it was clear that even his fans were annoyed. So he left the game halfway, searching for any other game room that were still open. When he finally found one, most of the players being high-level like him, he clicked on the icon before waiting as it started. When the count down started, he quickly went over the other team's players and one player immediatley caught his eye.
First it was their name, the name 'Heartbreaker' didn't seem like a normal name in between the other names, but then he noticed the level they were on. He had yet to see someone on the normal server with a rank higher than his, except for other professional gamers of course, but apparently 'Heartbreaker' had.
Mumbling something to himself, he was unaware as Tong Yao rolled into the camera's view and watched the screen before snorting and rolling away again. K looked to her, frowning before rolling his eyes and continuing to stare at his screen. He kept playing, his teammates long forgotten as he killed his opponents. It wasn't long until he saw the name 'Heartbreaker' flash across the screen.
Before he could even move his fingers to attack, he watched as the 'You Died' screen took over instead and he let his hand drop on the keyboard with slightly wide eyes. Not saying anything, he waited until he respawned again before searching for 'Heartbreaker' again and trying again, only to die again seconds later. Clenching his teeth, he waited again before retrying once more. He smashed the keys and mouse, hoping to himself that he'd beat them. One hit, then a second and then he died again. Not getting a third respawn, his screen just showed his team playing and losing as he sighed loudly.
It was clear to anyone how annoyed he was, his fans were quick to point it out in the comments and trying to reassure the gamer that 'Heartbreaker' must be using some kind of hack. He knew this to not be true, the game had been programmed to ban everyone once a kind of program was spotted on the computer, even when it wasn't in use. Unfair, but it worked.
"Got beat?" Tong Yao asked as she rolled closer again, appearing in the camera's view with a broad smile and K turned his head to look at her, clearly getting more annoyed at the girl's teasing.
"Stop acting like you'd know I'd lose." "I did, though." Tong Yao teased, pushing her chair back so she'd get out of view, eyes returning to her phone as it dinged. She started to type to reply to the message., unaware of the lingering stare. When she finally noticed that K was still staring at her, she paused and pointed at his screen.
"I know Heartbreaker, she's a natural talent when it comes to games." She pointed out and K sighed, rolling his eyes before turning to his computer again. He quickly ended his livestream, sure that he'd get scolded by Xiao Rui afterwards because of the short and blunt goodbye, and searched out 'Heartbreaker' in the ID search bar. When he found her, he clicked the 'send friend request' and waited for a conformation. Not even seconds later, he got a request back which he accepted quickly before he watched as a message popped onto his screen.
'Sorry for beating you!'
He sighed and he could hear Tong Yao snort again, giving her another glare before staring at the screen. He then typed in his own message, replying with a 'You play really good' before sending it, receiving a reply seconds later.
'Wish I could say the same :)'
He couldn't help but chuckle at the reply before he send another. The messages kept going for a few minutes before 'Heartbreaker' logged off.
You logged off because of school, a bit sad when you couldn't talk to your new friend anymore. It was quite fun to hear how he reacted to your messages from Tong Yao, you couldn't help but smile as she sent you pictures of a flustered K. You quickly texted Tong Yao to just give your number to K before you put your phone away and getting ready for school.
So Tong Yao did, pulling K's phone from his desk and adding your number under the name 'Heartbreaker' before handing it back to K with a smile. He glanced at the phone in confusion before clicking on your icon, texting you before pocketing his phone and getting up to go out.
You had already left your house, ready to go to school and dressed into the warmest clothes you had with a large shawl thrown around your neck that hid most of your face. You didn't feel like getting cold.
After a couple of minutes, you entered your classroom and sat near your friends before getting your phone again. You quickly checked K's text before sending him a quick selfie, half of your face still covered by your scarf before putting your phone down and focusing on your lesson.
K checked immediatley once he got the notification and smiled as he saw you, smiling as he finally somewhat saw what you looked like. He just sent a text saying 'You're pretty' before going back to shopping and waiting for your response, a bit disappointed when it had been an hour already and you hadn't even seen it.
Something which was obvious to Tong Yao when she saw the man enter the dorms, face glum as he put his stuff away before he sat behind his computer. When she saw this, she also was quick to send you a picture. When you saw it, you couldn't help but smile before you quickly changed to text K and your face flushed as you saw his text. Not wanting to seem flustered, you decided on a 'You're quite good looking yourself' before you put your phone away again.
An hour later, you received a text from Tong Yao, asking you to come by next week and you agreed while also still gaming. Somehow, K had seen you were online again and immediately send you a game request, but this time to play with you and not against. He stayed near you must of the game, watching you while also killing anyone who came near you while you tried to destroy the base.
While all this happens, he was also listening to your ranting through your call. He hummed in agreement every now and then, just to let you know that he was still listening to your story. It took about an hour of you to finish your rant and once you noticed that, you started apologizing immediatley, feeling guilty that you kept him for so long. He just shrugged it off, telling you that he didn't mind listening to you and you felt your face heat up slowly.
"Shut up... Anyway, how was the rest of your day?" "Not much happened, I just went to the grocery store to get some stuff. Beside that, not much..." He answered before logging out of the game and you could hear him talking to someone else.
"I'll talk to you some other time, bye." He didn't even let you reply as he hung up and you pouted to yourself before shrugging and closing the game as well.
A week later, you still hadn't heard from K again and he also hadn't been online for awhile. You didn't mind too much, after all you were visiting today and he was probably also a busy person. Nonetheless, today was the day you'd visit, so you dressed warm before you exited your house. You wished was it was bit warmer, but winter was never that kind and thus you were bundled up in 3 layers of clothes and a thick scarf to make sure that your face remained warm as well. You made your way through the streets until you finally reached your destination, Tong Yao already waiting at the gate in her own winter coat. When she spotted you, she only smiled brightly before sprinting at you, engulfing you into a tight hug.
"I missed you!" She whined loudly as she pulled back, inspecting you from head to toe.
"You got thin." "That's what college does, young sister." You commented at your small sister, who only gave you a pout before pulling you inside of her dorms. Even though you were only a year older than her, she acted more like your older sister.
Inside, everyone was sat at their computers and you could Lu Yue shouting loudly at his older brother about something. You hung up your coat and scarf before following your sister inside, immediatley drawing everyone's attention as the room grew silent.
"Ignore them." Tong Yao said as she continued to guide you to the kitchen area, forcing you to sit down before getting some food and dropping it in front of you. You rolled your eyes, but ate the food anyway. No way you'd deny free food.
As you ate, you turned around to watch what the others were doing only to be greeted with the stares of everyone. You gave a wave, swallowing your food before speaking up.
"I'm Tong Yao's sister, pleasure to meet you all." You commented and they all nodded before returning to their games. All except for K, who just looked at you in confusion. You just gave him a wink before turning around when Tong Yao called your name.
"I haven't told him yet." "I figured..." You said with a smile, taking a sip of the drink that you had received before turning around again. You took your phone out of your pocket and started a call to K, waiting for him to pick up. You saw his eyes flash to his phone before he quickly picked up, turning in his chair as he got up. He seemed confused when you didn't say anything and asked if you were alright.
"Left." You answered and he frowned, turning left before he noticed you again. You waved your phone with a smile, showing his name ID on your phone. He lowered his phone slowly, staring at you before checking his phone again. You couldn't help but snort, getting up from your chair and turning your head to Tong Yao for a second.
"I'll be back in a second." You said before walking past K, grabbing his collar as you passed him and dragged him outside. Once you stood outside, you quickly closed the door behind you before turning to face him.
"Didn't expect that, did ya?" You asked and he raised an eyebrow at you before sighing.
"So, you're Heartbreaker..." You nodded. "And you're also Tong Yao's sister?" You nodded again before sitting down on one of the chairs and looking at him again.
"You not going to say anything?" "You're prettier in person." He answered and your eyes widened at the sudden compliment, chuckling softly.
"Thanks... Likewise." You commented and he frowned at your comment, so you quickly explained that Tong Yao was kind enough to sent you pictures of him while he texted you.
"She what?" He asked and you laughed again before pulling up to pictures that she had sent you, showing them to K with a smile and enjoying the
"Just a second." He said before storming inside and you flinched when you suddenly heard a loud scream from inside that sounded like your sister before K walked back outside with a calm look.
"Did you just kill my sister?" "She's fine." He answered and you frowned, looking inside to see Tong Yao on the ground in shock. She looked fine...ish?
"The pictures weren't that bad." You commented and he rolled his eyes.
"If you wanted pictures so bad, you could've asked." He commented as he sat down and you gave him a smile.
"I'll remember that then." You said before getting up.
"How about getting some drinks?" You then asked and he agreed quickly, following you out. All the way to the café and back, both of you just talked about your interests and you only discovered more similar interests.
Once you arrived back in the dorms, you gave everyone their drinks while still talking to K. He didn't move back to his computer and instead sat on the couch with you, sipping on his own drink as he continued to listen to your ranting. You didn't even notice that you were ranting, but once you started going about something you were passionate about there was no stopping you. Yet he just listened to you, eyes full of adoration. This was something that was quickly noticed by Tong Yao as she watched the two of you with a broad grin, seeing the adoration in his eyes for you.
So of course, she had to embarrass him.
"Hey K?!" She exclaimed and he turned his head, clearly giving her a dead stare as your ranting stopped. Tong Yao only beckoned him over and he got up, even more annoyed now as he stood next to her. She beckoned him to lean down to her height and he leaned forward until she could whisper in his ear.
"Stop looking at my sister like she's the love of your life." She whispered before watching K turn red from embarrassment while also keeping an eye on you. You hadn't heard anything, just waiting patiently on the couch as you typed on your phone.
"Instead of acting like she's the love of your live, make her the love of your life." She then said before pushing him away and he could only walk back to the confusion, sitting back down next to you.
"What she say?" You asked and he shrugged before asking you to continue your story. You smiled slightly before going back into your rant and K went back to listening while staring at you again. This time, however, it didn't go unnoticed to you. You noticed the stare and couldn't help but feel your face heat up as you kept talking, trying to finish the story without stuttering. Once finished, you looked at him and he raised an eyebrow.
"Are you going to keep staring at me?" You then asked and he scoffed, his face heating up once more as he turned away from you.
"We should go get some food." Tong Yao then commented and everyone quickly agreed, all of them quickly getting ready to go out while you and K stayed downstairs.
"So why were you staring? Am I that beautiful?" You teased, faking your confidence a bit as you made the comment, and he just gave you an annoyed look.
"Am I?" You teased again and he sighed. "Yes." He then answered and you were a bit taken aback by his sudden answer. He just rolled his eyes at you and got up from the couch as everyone gathered at the front door. You all went to a restaurant with classical Chinese food, on request of Lao Mao and Lu Yue, and of course, you were sat next to K again. Tong Yao had somehow gotten the others to join in her teasing, all of them making comments about how you looked together. Every time someone did, both you and K looked at them with a deadly glare and it only made everyone laugh again at how synced you two were.
You could only groan in response.
The rest of the dinner was quiet, but you only felt anxious with all eyes on you. So you were glad when it was over, walking at the back of the pack as you searched for an hour that your bus would come. K was next to you, watching over your shoulder before pointing at your bus icon.
"Tomorrow at 6... Nice." You mumbled before quickly walking to Tong Yao and asking if you could stay the night, to which she responded with a sure.
It was 4 or 5 in the morning when you woke up, your head aching and you suddenly remembered that drinking alcohol always gave you huge headaches, and you had drank 3 or 4 glasses last night. Rolling out of the bed, you unwrapped Tong Yao from your waist before slowly waddling downstairs. You entered the kitchen and stopped when you saw someone else, not being able to tell who it was. You just trudged to the freezer and pulled open the door, grabbing a bottle of water before glancing at the person again.
It was K, now visible because of the fridge lightning, and he also held a water bottle in his hand while trying to keep the light out of his eyes. You closed the door again before hopping on the counter.
"Why you up?" You asked and he sighed, nodding before sipping from his drink.
"You?" "Headache... I apparently drank a bit too much." You commented and he snorted, trying to hide the fact that he was laughing at you. You just rolled your eyes at him, drinking from your own bottle before looking back to him.
"I didn't get to say this earlier, but sorry for Tong Yao earlier." You said and he looked up before shrugging at the comment. You fidgeted with your fingers, sighing softly before looking at him again as he spoke up.
"I don't mind it that much. They tease me about that a lot." He said and you frowned at that, leaning forward as you put the bottle of water down.
"They tease you a lot about... liking me?" You asked cautiously and you could see the wheels in his head turning before he realized that he basically exposed himself. Even though you didn't see much, you could see his face turning red as he looked annoyed at himself.
"So I'm right? You like me?" You asked as you leaned back again, leaning against the side of the fridge as you waited for an answer. He only rolled his eyes, walking to the fridge and pulling it open to put his bottle of water back. Once he closed it and attempted to walk off, you only pulled the back of his shirt until he stood in front of you. He gave you a look of annoyance, which quickly melted away as you kissed his cheek softly.
"This is going to be really awkward if I read that wrong..." You mumbled as you pulled back, but he didn't let you continue as he kissed you again. He moved to stand in between your legs as his hand moved to your neck while pulling you closer, his other hand resting beside your leg. Once he pulled back, you felt like you had lost your breath and he only smirked at you.
"Shut up, I didn't expect it. That's all." You said and he leaned forward again, only for you to lean back.
"What are you doing...?" You asked as your head bummed against the cabinet, his nose still touching yours and he only gave you a smile.
"Can I not kiss you again?" He asked and you pushed him away, pouting at him.
"So... What are we then?" "I'll be your boyfriend, no?" He asked and you smiled, nodding happily before freezing when the lights went on. On the stairs stood Tong Yao and Lu Yue, both lights sleepers and probably woke up from the loud chattering between you and K. The looks on their faces were quite funny to see, but seeing how you were sitting with K standing in between your legs must have looked weird to them.
However, K did not move away and instead just leaned his head on on your shoulder with a frustrated groan. You just chuckled, weaving your fingers through his hair before turning to the two on the stairs.
"Morning..." You said and Lu Yue was the first to rush off, probably off to get his phone while Tong Yao just stared at you before just shaking her head and walking back to her room.
"I think we just ruined her morning..." "I don't care." He replied, head still placed on your shoulder before slowly raising it to look at you.
"Shouldn't you get ready?" He asked and you turned your head to look at the clock that hung off the wall, seeing that you had 30 minutes before your bus would arrive. You hopped off the counter, kissing him once more before walking upstairs to get dressed. You passed Lu Yue, who seemed a bit disappointed as he saw you next to him instead of downstairs.
Once you were dressed, you went downstairs again, seeing that everyone else had miraculously woken up and sitting downstairs. You greeted K once more with a kiss on the cheek before saying goodbye to everyone, then rushing off to catch your bus. Tong Yao turned in her chair, kicking K's chair to catch his attention.
"Do not ever do that again in the dorms."

Falling into Your Smile (2021)
Tumblr media
Tong Yao (Cheng Xiao of WJSN) is a gamer girl that gets recruited to the pro gamer team ZGDX as a mid-laner and is the first woman pro gamer in the Chinese league. Lu Sicheng (Xu Kai) is the ruthless captain of ZGDX. Tong Yao must deal with the struggles of facing up against her ex, Jian Yang (Zhai Xiao Wen), also a pro gamer for team YQCB, being the first woman in the industry, adjusting to her new job, AND the chemistry she feels with Lu Sicheng! Will she every catch a break?
Both subtle and blatant calls against sexism in gaming: 10/10 we love to see a show about pro gaming address something women in male-dominated fields deal with all the time
Badass battle sequences during matches: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ngl, when I watched "Go Go, Squid", I skipped a lot of the competitions, but this show makes the competitions so much fun!
ML that is an absolute simp: 10/10
FL acting: 7/10 her line delivery is good, but her face is almost always the same? Idk. I think this was Cheng Xiao's first drama, and the two of them still had bomb chemistry, so I gave her some grace
This drama is a lot of fun. Anyone who likes sports dramas or gamer dramas would enjoy this drama. Despite some of Cheng Xiao's lines falling flat, it's still a good rom-com overall.

Falling Into Your Smile (你微笑时很美)
Tumblr media
Finally back to writing reviews. I’ve watched many shows since the last time I wrote a review but I was just too lazy to take notes on the episodes and how I felt. I re-watched this show a whole month ago but didn’t get to write the review because I fell into a slump. I’m back though. This show is super popular because it has Xu Kai as the male lead, and honestly, I enjoyed this show a lot the first time I watched it. However, after rewatching the show I can say I still enjoyed the show, yet, I wouldn’t say it was super crazy good like how I felt watching Amidst a Snowstorm of Love and Love Me, Love My Voice, etc. The characters were fun to watch, the plot was all about e-sports (which I actually really enjoyed), but I felt like it was missing something to make the show better.
My Rating: 7.5/10
Episodes: 31
Country: China
Genre: Romance with E-Sports
Aired: June 23rd, 2021- July 15th, 2021
Cast:
Xu Kai as Lu Si Cheng
Cheng Xiao as Tong Yao
Zhai Xiao Wen as Jiang Yang
Yao Chi as Lu Yue
Rachel Wang as Chen Jin Yang
Zhou Yi Ran as Ai Jia
Sun Kai as Xiao Peng
Gao Han as Lao K
Xiao Kai Zhong as Lao Mao
Merxat as Yu Ming
Cui Shao Yang as Xiao Rui
Wang Yi Jun as Lee Kun Hyeok
Synopsis:
All-male ZGDX e-sports team loses a player due to a hand injury. They need to choose a replacement for the team.
Tong Yao is a popular female gamer who is known for her skill but also recklessness. She got into gaming through her ex-boyfriend who ended up abandoning her for the OPL world. The manager of ZGDX, Xiao Rui, messages Tong Yao an invite into recruiting her for the team. At first she is not welcomed by the team, especially Lu Si Cheng. However, as they continue to interact and live at the base, she forms a closer bond with the team and an even closer bond with Lu Si Cheng, the captain of ZGDX.
This drama was adapted from the web novel “You’re Beautiful When You Smile” (你微笑时很美) by Qing Mei (青浼).
Beware of Spoilers Moving Forward!!!!!!!!!
What Episode did the Main Couple Start Dating?
OMg. They literally take a whole third of the show just to establish the fact they are dating. They are officially together in Episode 21.
I don’t mind slow burns, and in this case it was fine because there is a lot of plot in this show in terms of gaming and the e-sports world. There is also just a lot of hesitation between the two, as her ex-boyfriend, Jiang Yang, was also an e-sports professional gamer and they lost contact because of it, and therefore, she originally didn’t want to have a relationship with anyone in the same field. She also hesitates as the fandom is highkey crazy and a lot of people were convinced they were already dating before, and were already shit-talking Tong Yao for “seducing” Si Cheng.
Si Cheng asks Tong Yao very casually in episode 20 if she wants to try, and she asks “try what?” and he says, me. LOLOLOLOL I almost died here. In episode 21, she thinks he was joking, and was very indecisive on what to do but she almost confessed in a previous episode so I don’t know what she was hesitating for. She then accepts him later in this episode.
Misunderstandings?
They have a misunderstanding in Episode 17 after Tong Yao gets into a fight at an event with another lady who was in charge of that event. She pushes the lady and that lady makes a whole video accusing Tong Yao of physically hurting her and it goes viral. Tong Yao gets banned for one game. During this time, Si Cheng isn’t talking to her and Tong Yao is butt- hurt about it. He explains later on in Episode 18.
There’s also another time in Episode 26 where Si Cheng is acting cold and distant with Tong Yao after the harmful package incident with Tong Yao. He ignores her and acts cold with her for days. In Episode 27, Tong Yao asks Si Cheng if they’re breaking up because he’s been cold, however, he consoles her and tells her he’s just angry at himself that he can’t protect her.
Love Triangles?
LOOOOOOOOOL This show is essentially a harem. Every captain from almost every team loves Tong Yao akjsndkfjsdfs. It was kinda funny. But jokes aside. There really isn’t a love triangle at all.
Jiang Yang tries to get Tong Yao back, however, she was very set in stone that she wouldn’t take him back. She explains to Jiang Yang that the reason she doesn’t want to get back with him is because he never treated her as someone who could walk alongside him.
Another funny character who was obsessed with Tong Yao was Kun from FNC, he was soooo funny. I laughed the whole time his character appeared on screen. He just felt like comedic relief tbh.
Second Leads Romance
OMGGGG. Ai Jia and Jin Yang were so fun to watch honestly. Zhou Yi Ran. my love. My obsession. My fav c-drama actor. Akjsndfkjsnkdfs. Zhou Yi Ran playing Ai Jia was a delight to watch. The first time I watched him was in When I Fly Towards you and his character is so different in Falling Into Your Smile. Their romance was different, but honestly, very true. Jin Yang had no interest in the world of e-sports but she supported Ai Jia throughout it. She ended up buying his team too LOL. and she helped him reconnect with his mom again after she kicked him out for wanting to be a professional e-sports gamer.
Falling Into Your Smile Ending
Falling Into Your Smile has a happy ending where they win at the finals thanks to Tong Yao. Then, we watch Ai Jia and Jin Yang get married and Tong Yao catches the bouquet. It was a typical sweet ending.
Falling Into Your Smile Review- A Fun Romance between Gamers
I gave this show a 7.5/10. I enjoyed it thoroughly as it was a fun show to watch with e-sports, friendship, romance, conflicts, etc. If I’m being completely honest the reason why I can’t rate the show any higher is because I just felt the show was mediocre at best. I don’t know how to explain it. I was happy when the main leads got together, and honestly, some of the conflicts were fun to watch and I understood how they dealt with it. However, it was just a fun watch. I can't say that I was obsessed and eager to finish the show. I think the reason I couldn’t enjoy this show to the fullest was because Cheng Xiao’s acting in this show was mediocre at best. She kind of always had a poker face throughout the show aksjbfksds.
The e-sports plot was fun to watch and I did really enjoy that part of the show as this was my first time seeing a plot like this. The fandom being crazy for the guys were super real, the chronic injuries that professional e-sports gamers face was shown, the stigma of being a professional gamer was also explored. I really appreciated and enjoyed these arcs in the story.
Falling Into Your Smile is a fun watch where you see pro-gamers explore the world of romance, team bonding, dealing with societal stigmas on gaming, etc. I did enjoy the show and it was a cute, fun watch and I didn’t regret the time I took to watch it.

Falling into your smile
Year : 2021 | Country : CN | Nb of episodes: 31
My rate: 7/10
Synopsis :
In the ultra-competitive world of e-sports, the all-male ZGDX OPL team is second to none. Armies of adoring female fans follow the team wherever it goes. But when one of the team’s star players suffers a hand injury, the tall, handsome, and notoriously hard-to-please ZGDX captain Lu Si Cheng will not be rushed into choosing a replacement.
The petite, lollipop-loving Tong Yao, meanwhile, is a budding amateur gamer – obsessed with OPL. Her skills are exceptional, but she is of the firm belief that in the male-dominated world of pro gaming, love is a big no-no – even though her own ex-boyfriend was a gamer. When the ZGDX team manager learns of her skills, he contacts her, thinking that recruiting her as the scene’s first female player will help score a major PR coup. Lu Si Cheng is dismissive of her initially, but eventually agrees to accept her as a substitute – a move that polarizes the team’s fanbase. But as they start to get to know one another better, could a closer bond begin to form between them?
Main cast :
Xu Kai as Lu Si Cheng
Cheng Xiao as Tong Yao
Zhai Xiao Wen as Jian Yang
My thoughts on this drama :
I've seen a bunch of E-Sports drama now, and it is not the worst nor the best. I liked the fact that they for once put a girl on the forefront of a professional team, instead of the sidekick love interest. Xu Kai is at his best in this kind of youth oriented drama, in my opinion.

Best Friend's Ex
Tumblr media
Requested by anonymous: Hi, I've read your Falling Into your smile post, they are wonderful, I was wondering if you can make one about Yang, Tong Yao's ex. Can Tong Yao friend come to the arena and watch tong yao play against yang's team and somewhere in the break before they start the next round Yang and Tong Yao friend meet and they start falling for each other
Pairing: Jian Yang x gn!reader
Word Count: 1.6k words
Warning: none
Tumblr media
The people around you were raging, loud and shouting so loud that you felt like your eardrums would burst. Nonetheless, you actually enjoyed sitting in the crowd. You didn't know much of the game that was being played, but Tong Yao asked for support and thus you were here. You'd cheer and clap, even when knowing nothing. Your eyes were mostly on Tong Yao, watching the girl's face morph to a different expression every five seconds. The screen was a bit too busy for your liking, but you could read that ZGDX was winning by three points. The man next to you had been kind enough to explain that they needed one more point to win and it was quickly after the explanation that the victory screen took over, revealing that ZGDX had won and you looked at Tong Yao. She was a few seconds late with her reaction, but her face lit up like a Christmas tree as she lunged at her nearest teammate. That happened to be K, who only frowned as he tried to pry the girl off.
The break was loudly announced throughout the stadium, the normal lights illuminating the room and you were quick to leave the stadium. You roamed through the hall, trying to find a vending machine for some drinks and maybe even some food. Finally finding one, you staggered as you noticed someone else stand in front of it as well.
Jian Yang.
You made your way to the vending machine, awkwardly standing next to him as you looked at all the food before punching in the numbers and paying. The food fell and you bent down to pick it up before standing up, flinching when a drink was shoved right in front of you.
"Didn't know you liked video games." Jian Yang spoke and you sighed softly, turning to face him. "I'm here to support Tong Yao." You responded before leaning against the vending machine. You opened the can, taking a sip before sighing.
"Your team is losing quite badly, shouldn't you be giving them a pep-talk or scold them?" You asked and he gave you an annoyed look before leaning against the vending machine next to you.
"It's not that of an important match anyway, it's mostly practice..." He said and you couldn't help but snort at him, making him roll his eyes at you.
"So, you still obsessed with Tong Yao or have you moved on?" "She's dating Si-Cheng, I think that says enough about my chances." He said and you frowned. "So, yes. I'm not chasing after her anymore." He continued and you nodded at him, giving him a thumbs up.
"Good on you, you deserve to be happy as well." You gave him a smile before flinching when the siren went off. "Well, off you go. Win this time, huh?" You waved before walking back to the arena, finding your spot and sitting down with a sigh.
The matches continued for another hour, the screaming had now made you nearly deaf and your throat was sore from the cheering. You felt happy though, seeing Tong Yao's smile as she realized she won was enough to make you just as happy. Jian Yang also catched your attention, still sitting in his chair and looking like a sad puppy. You almost wanted to comfort him... Almost.
The room grew empty as everyone moved out, hoping to catch the players on their way to their busses. You waited for awhile, not wanting to be caught in the hoard and only stood up once you noticed that the arena was starting to get cleaned. You left the arena, glad that the halls were almost completely empty as you walked to the exit. The sounds of fans grew louder as you neared the exit and you could spot Si-Cheng, so you assumed Tong Yao was near him even though you didn't see her. You made your way over to them, slipping by the crowd and made your way to the bus. You entered and just sat in the back, pulling up your phone and scrolling through some social media's.
You didn't expect a text from Jian Yang a few days later nor did you expect him to ask for a meet-up. You just agreed, not really thinking further about it until you had already met with him 5 times and each time you felt closer to him. Soon enough, you fell for him and you couldn't even stop it. It was the small things, like when he gave you his jacket or when he bought you food. And when you realized this, you couldn't help but feel a bit guilty about it. He was still Tong Yao's ex and she was your best friend. Of course, being your best friend she noticed how weird you were acting and approached you and asked what was wrong with you.
"I think I like Jian Yang..." You admitted and you saw her think before she laughed. "What's wrong with that?" She asked and you frowned, pointing at her while explaining that she was his ex and it would be awkward.
"It might be a bit weird, but I have Si-Cheng now and you like Jain Yang so I'd be fine with it. You can be happy, but I'll kill him if he does something to you." She said with a smile and you smiled back, chuckling at her statement before quickly hugging her.
"Come on!" She suddenly said before pulling you up and out of the door, making you yelp as you tried to pull your shoes on quickly while also trying to follow Tong Yao. You didn't go far, just to team CK's dorm. Once you reached it, Tong Yao rang the bell before booking it. It opened, revealing one of the members. He looked a bit confused to see Tong Yao running (and crashing halfway back), but moved on as he looked back at you.
"You need something?" "Is Jian Yang here?" You asked and the guy shook his head, smiling as he came closer.
"He's on a date!" He whispered loudly and your eyes widened slightly in surprise as the man continued ranting, holding up his phone with a picture of a girl. She was pretty, long black hair and big deer-like eyes, and of course a really pretty smile.
"She's been coming over since forever, but he always rejected her until last week. They've gone on three or four dates now, I think..." He continued and you nodded at him, giving him a smile and telling him you'd just send Jian Yan a text instead. With that you started walking back to the ZGDX dorms until you were stopped by someone. Of course, Jian Yang. You felt like you were experiencing a book or movie scene...
"Why were you at my dorm?" "I was looking for you, that's all. However, I learned you apparently have a girlfriend now?" You teased him, ignoring the pain in your heart as you said that, and he frowned.
"Girlfriend?" "Yeah, the pretty one. Long black hair, extremely pretty?" You asked and he seemed to think about it before realizing.
"Ah, you mean Krystal? I'm just helping her out for awhile. Her boyfriend was into games and she wanted to buy him something, but she doesn't know anything about it. That's all... Why do you care though?" He asked and you shrugged at him, looking away as you tried to hide your smile. He caught it, however, and was quick to start teasing you again.
"Were you jealous? Think I'd leave you for my girlfriend?" He asked and you gave him a side eyes before gently pushing his side.
"I like you, stupid." You admitted, the heat on your face only worsening as his own façade fell, staring at you with clear confusion. When he finally processed what you said, he pointed at himself.
"Me?" He asked and you rolled your eyes at him.
"No, I'm talking to the ghost behind you." He turned his head and you groaned at him. "Yes, you!" You exclaimed, making him flinch slightly. The blush appeared on his face, a shy smile taking over his previous frown.
"Are you going to say anything or should I just leave..?" You asked and he quickly looked up, shaking his head as he took ahold of your hands. A confession started pouring from his lips, but you couldn't understand anything as his words started to slur together. So you lifted your hand and covered his mouth, making him stare at you.
"You're going to fast, slow down." You said and he nodded before waiting for you to remove your hand, which you did seconds later. Then he took the opportunity.
"Can I kiss you?" He asked, which made it your turn to get embarrassed as you nodded without even realizing. Seconds later, his lips were on yours and his hands held your waist to pull you a bit closer. It took you awhile to react and yet when you wanted to return the kiss properly, he pulled back. You stared at him before grabbing his collar and pulled back into a second kiss. This time it was shorter, it was more like a peck than a kiss, and you couldn't help but smile when you pulled back.
"Woooooooooooh!" You flinched away from Jian Yang as you heard the shout, turning your head to see Tong Yao. She smiled brightly before giving a big thumbs up, marching back into the dorms.
"Everyone's gonna know now..." You mumbled as you dropped your arms with a sigh, staring at where Tong Yao stood before turning back to the man in front of you.
"I'm going to go back and make sure she shuts up... I'll text you?" You asked and he smiled, nodding.
"I'll wait for it."

leans against my expensive car. it’s me again, your house cat, min — with a second muse, choi kyujin. ♡
as always, leave a like if you’re interested in plotting and i’ll message you soon, either here or on discord, if i have you added already!
profile. memories. connections.
choi kyujin, an e—sports professional and game developer in his past life who’s now an IT specialist at ansong town hall.
the loud neighbor living in unit 03 on floor 02, always either yelling ( at his computer over games ) or blasting music through the walls. there is no in—between, sorry.
used to be an overworking type of guy but isn’t as much of that ever since he got to ansong a year and a half ago. but he does, and will work overtime if needed which often leads to occasions where he gets sick or his health declines rapidly.
very good with computer programming, coding, etc etc. he sometimes uses those skills to make character designs or game mechanics, but because him being a game developer isn’t a core memory he’s unlocked yet ( it’s very down the line ), he’s stuck with seeing it as a crazy time—consuming hobby he can’t get rid of.
from the first memory that came back to him with kyujin being the leader of a team called zgdx in the e—sports industry; he never, ever wants to take the lead role for anything again.
he is, however, a part of saeroi’s social circle so he parties pretty frequently on the nights he isn’t needed to stay behind for work. additionally head—canon’ing that kyujin is the one known to have playboy tendencies amongst the group as commitment isn’t a thing that exists for him. ansong’s heartbreaker? hell yeah…
connections !! surprisingly, i did make a page of wanted plots for kyujin that i think would be fun to have or write out ( lmk if you’d be interested in taking up one of them ), but i’m not limited to those at all and am very open to exploring new dynamics. kyujin’s a lot more flexible than saeroi is esp when it comes down to going around and out since he likes to surround himself with people to not feel lonely.

MEET RESIDENT CHOI KYUJIN.
✽ ✎… ( yang jeongin / i.n, cis male, he + him ) — we hope ansong has found you well, choi kyujin. you know yourself to be 24 years old and currently reside in unit #03 on floor #02. while you have been here for a year and six months, you seem to remember a little about your former life. currently you’re employed at ansong town hall as an IT specialist. you recall that some people consider you to be creative & blunt, but sometimes you seem to be competitive & uninterested. we hope you find everything you’re searching for, and maybe a little bit more.

in their box sits five notecards, they read:
notecard #1: a semi—detailed sketch of a character from a game.
notecard #2: the word 'ZGDX.'
notecard #3: a miniature paper crane.
notecard #4: the simple words of 'play well.'
notecard #5: the name 'chessman.'
Tumblr media
in their tote bag sits three memento(s), they are:
a mini trophy, the kind that shines golden and is engraved with the hanja characters of his own name, "최규진".
a book, seemingly a graphic novel compiled of character designs for a game with a range of styles — the colors have melded into each other, fading out.
a sheet of paper, supposedly meant to be a termination contract with a fingerprint that does not belong to him.

can you do snz+sick+allergy hc for the ZGDX members? (Including Ming and Yue)
idk if you also wanted Rui, but I did so we're including him. Because I adore him :)
Ming:
Ming doesn't get sick, like ever. He can't remember the last time he got sick. But he has fairly severe pollen allergies. During spring he sneezes at least six times a day. Minimum. His sneezes are medium volume and kinda high pitched, the start soft and lower, but they turn high pitched at the end. (Kinda like hhhcHIHu) he always only ever sneezes once. If he sneezes twice, then something's wrong and he's probably sick. But as that only has happened two or three times in his life, that never happens.
Rui
Rui doesn't get sick often and he isn't 'allergic' to anything, but he does react to strongly scented things, (candles, perfume, ECT.) He has a dad sneeze. (Makes sense as he is the dad of the group) his sneeze is LOUD and dramatic. Which is funny because he's very level headed and calm. When he gets sick he always gets a fever, when he has a fever he gets delirious and functions at a low level.
Lu Cheng
He gets sick the most, if he goes out when it's raining he will get a cold. Every time without fail. He is allergic to cats, not severely, but still enough that if he cuddles with them he gets sneezy. And even to the point that if Tong Yao has been cuddling her cats and Cheng is cuddling with her, he gets sneezy. His sneezes sound exactly like they do in episode 10.
Lao K
He is a stifler, you can't change my mind. His quiet, serious personality transfers to his sneezes. He always sneezes at least twice. But on average he's a triple sneezer. He has a sensitive nose l, and while he's not allergic to anything, pollen, dust, cat hair, and strong scents all can set him off pretty badly. He doesn't gets colds fairly often, (at least once a month) not nearly as much as Cheng, but still frequently.
Cat (Mao)
He has a kittenish high pitched sneeze. Which is super high pitched and girly. But he is embarrassed about it, especially because he's such a 'gym rat' he doesn't want people to see him as cute, so he usually intentionally makes his sneezes louder, usually by yelling as he sneezes. (Normal: itchiew dramatic: HHIATCHU K is the only one who has heard Cat's actual sneeze, and began calling him Kitten because of how cute it is. (Which irritates the shit out of Cat) he is allergic to dust and always sneezes when they clean the house. He also gets sneezy if his room isn't cleaned often enough. Thankfully, for K's sake, he stops scream-sneezing when it's just him and K so when they clean their room K's ears are spared.
Chubby (I was re-watching Falling Into Your Smile and my sister watched it with me and she has an obsession with Cubby, which is reasonable)
Cubby is the cutest human ever, and his sneeze is no exception. He has a tiny, cough like sneeze. (Like Taeil from nct) He isn't allergic to anything, but he gets sick the second most in the group, (after Cheng) he is a fairly independent sickie but he always takes care of the others when they get sick.
Lu Yue
He, like his older brother is allergic to cats, but his allergy is more severe. He can't even pet the cats without sneezing. He is also 110% in denial of his allergy. Despite how often Tong Yao explains to him that he's allergic to cats. Because of his allergy Yao goes out of her way to keep her cats away from him. But he is too stubborn for his own good. His immune system is much stronger than his brother's and he rarely gets sick, but when he does he gets SUPER clingy to his brother. (Which irritates Cheng, but he doesn't let it show) His sneeze is very much like Atchoo he also has minor pollen allergies and tends to be a fairly sneezy person.
Tong Yao
she is SMOL in everything she does, including being sick and sneezing. She always sneezes like tchu and it's very hard to hear. She is also the most independent sickie ever, she doesn't want anyone around when she's sick. She wants to be left ALONE. (Which Cheng just doesn't get) she isn't allergic to anything at all and her nose isn't sensitive, and she's got a fairly strong immune system, so of course when Cheng is sick she goes into over protective girlfriend mode and takes great care of him. She gets sick mostly in winter, because she LOVES snow and loves to play in the snow.
