What's your favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! ship?
oof... I'm such a zexal multi shipper ... I guess if I really has to pick....
Vector/Yuma? post canon? with vector trying to relearn how to not be a total destructive/self destructive bastard and backsliding but also trying to better. Or sometimes I just like messy manipulative midcanon too. But mostly the post-canon. Does Yuma deserve better? Absolutely. But I do love the dynamic of a sunshine boy with monsterous boyfriend only he can handle and everyone else is afraid of. Vectors like a feral cat that gets pliable in Yuma's arms. That's the type I love.
Second most read is shark/yuma. It's so adorbs and usually written in a very true to character feeling way. Shark being tsundere gay and Yuma being kind of oblivious is my fav reading of that. But then also as soon as Yuma isn't oblivious and returns some affection shark is so embarrassed about his mushy feelings he could die.
Vector/Nasch is what I've spent the most time on personally because I've RPed it for a year and a half with raemanzu. Enemies to lovers. It's fun. Lots of fun dynamics to be had.
I also have this soft spot for post canon Vector/Merag and them kinda healing from being the playthings of gods together more directly than most of the other characters. But they also get to be toxic to each other for a while first. I kinda see them both being teenage burnouts together for a while.
my most enjoyed ultra rarepair is probably ... post canon Astral/Vector... Lol. Astral is interesting in relationships because he's an AI and because he's naive so Vector could mess with that a lot... but in his better healing moments, similar to Merag, I can see Vector and Astral bonding over being used by various godly forces as weapons of mass destruction and expected to have no other purpose.
Other shout outs: Yuma/astral, shark/iv, judai/Johan (with our without Yubel in there), judai/Yubel...

You know, I think that it's really cool that you translate doujinshi.
I'm currently working on a yugioh fanfic where the premise is based around doujinshi. It's a really weird book, and it has characters from every series but Sevens and Go Rush (season 0 too), but it's what I'm doing.
But anyways, I like doujinshi and i like that you translate some of them. I'll have to check them out sometime!
Thank you! If I was just a little better at Japanese, I would do it more but as it is it's pretty time consuming. Really good practice though. I definitely want to do more. It actually makes me have a lot more feelings about the doujinshi I translate because I have to think so much about the characters feelings to figure out the best way to phrase things. It's usually not a strictly literal translation since I want everything to feel as natural in English as possible. That part's really fun and cool. I'd love to be on a team where I can focus on the adaptation aspect.

so you replied to my post on that gif i have, saying that it was real and from one of the last episodes.
which episode was it? because i've been wondering what was happening and where it was happening for a long time. Because it looks almost like yuma is older...
Yeah it looks like he's older, however I think it's just the animator's style as it doesn't carry through the rest of the episodes (or even the rest of that episode, as it appears to me that once the duel starts, the style changes back to the usual and isn't quite as nice).
I looked it up at it's ep 144 (third to last episode), 2:05. Then I started laughing because of all the people for him to be looking at with that face, it's... Tokunosuke.
It's when he's seeing Tokunosuke alive again and basically realizing all his friends (well, almost all, cough) are rematerializing after "dying" and floating off to barian world (but this is before the numeron code revives the more dead ones).
