Just Stand Up!
I’ve been called so many names; I’ve been told to do so many things, I’ve been pressured to try so many different procedures and have been strongly affected by all of it. I’m not going to sit here and pretend it didn’t hurt or it doesn’t affect me… Because to this day it still does. I’m not going to say that these thoughts haven’t crossed my mind. I’m not going to lie when I say that sometimes I think that maybe life would be better for others if I wasn’t here, that maybe if I did starve myself people would like me better, and if I didn’t look the way I do I would have more friends. Maybe everyone does hate me… Maybe I should do what everyone is telling me to do so it would be easier. But I can happily say right now I’m so glad I never gave in to the toxic-ness of others... Because call me loser or not, I know I’m not worthless, I now know I am better and stronger than their words and I will continue to be for the rest of my life. I won’t ever give in or give up. I know these are thoughts a lot of you have heard in life, and it’s worse if you are getting bullied in any way… But let me tell you it doesn’t a have to be like that. Yes I know what you’re thinking, “She doesn’t understand”, “My story is different”, “She has no idea”, “She’s all talk”. Maybe to some of you that is the case but If can help just one person, for me that is enough. I want you to take a step back, look in the mirror deeply and realize how truly beautiful and amazing you are. Release those thoughts. No matter what anyone says, no matter what they call you you’re incredible to at least one person in the world. Listen to your heart tell you that you know you are better than this and that you are worth the life you have been given and that you are you for a reason and that’s a pretty beautiful thing. Online bullying and bullying in general has become so out of control it’s disgusting. I know most of you feel alone, but let me promise you, you aren’t. More people understand than you think. Just give them a chance. Let people in. Giving up isn’t an option. You can find yourself again. I know that because I did; which is why I can’t stress this enough. When you receive hate and when it gets too much online, do what’s best, which is learnt from the amazing Jules Lund who I look up to a lot, block like a boss. TAKE JOY in blocking abusive users from your social media accounts. Don’t try to win in an argument, you win more by blocking. Don’t stoop down to their level, they simply aren’t worth it. YOU ARE. Take these words with you… IT FEELS GOOD TO BLOCK. Because it does. For those of you that aren’t affected by bullying, you’re the lucky few. But YOU can help more than you think. Bystanders actually hold more power than the BULLY – what would you chose stay silent? Or will you silence THEM? Go back to that moment when you were bullied or know what it felt like; no one should ever, ever wish that feeling upon anyone. Do everything in the power you have to stop it. #ZEROTROLLERANCE We are more powerful than the bullies; we can take back control… Your heart can beat the hate, but only if you choose to. It’s time to stand up. Stand up for you! Believe in you, you are your own miracle; you just need to believe that if you fall, dust it off, don’t give up, take a closer look because life is too good. Life is great! Life is everything that is waiting ahead of you when you’ll be leaving the bullies behind. You will light up the dark if you follow your heart… Go be that person you have always wanted to be. Chase your dreams. It’s not too late! It’s never too late!

Today is 'National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence'. So as a way to show my support, help create awareness for this cause, and let everyone know I don't in anyway shape or form condone any sort of harm against others - I have created this #zerotrollerance piece. I work with words all day everyday, and have seen the power they can have on someone's life. Most of the time the words I work with encompass beautiful meanings and feelings, which rub off on me too (see, power!) - but I have seen SO many nasty words being flung around on social media, and even when they're not directed at me, they still make me feel a little crumby. Surely the person inflicting these word wounds on people feels just as crumby after doing it? Sooo... Let's be part of the movement that tries to discourage people from hurting people, and encourages people to use that energy to spread happy, feel-good vibes! If you're with me, repost this to your account and share the #zerotrollerance message ✌️

Rest easy, Charlotte.
I cannot say I was a fan of Charlotte Dawson. Not for any reason other than I didn't really watch any shows she was in. Her death still upsets me nonetheless.
It's not HOW she died that upsets me, but what led her to that point. It upsets me that people have the power to push others to this level. These people who gain some ridiculous sense of courage when behind their screens and feel the need to spread their hate to others. These are the people, who in any real life situation would not only avoid it but turn to water in a conflict.
Now, it makes perfect sense for there to people that disliked Charlotte. In fact there are many celebrities that irritate me but I never go onto their social media sites and slam them. Why? Because their human too. Because their are people in their lives, their family, their friends, even their fans who love them. What right do I have to tell them that their ugly, that their useless, that they should die. It's absolutely disgusting. What the hell happened to 'If you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all'?
I know from hearing other celebrity interviews, that these are the messages that stick in the mind. The supportive tweets that they receive are lovely, but it is the hateful ones they remember most. And you know what, it's not just happening to celebrities. No matter who it's happening to, this is wrong. It needs to stop. We need to do something.
A petition in Charlottes honour has been created. For those who would like to sign it, here is the link http://www.change.org/en-AU/petitions/the-australian-government-charlotte-s-law-tougher-cyber-bullying-legislation
Also, Jules Lund, a Sydney radio presenter and friend of Charlottes, has begin a campaign called #ZeroTrollerance They are still working on it but, currently it is encouraging not only those that are the victim of bullying but those that witness this to stand up. To block these trolls and thus diminish their power. You can find more about it on Jules Lunds twitter and facebook pages.
These may seem like small actions, but they're actions nonetheless.
Rest in peace, Charlotte.

I personally think that #zerotrollerance should be more trended! It's kinda time we take a stand against these assholes who hide behind a screen! There's enough of these idiots everyone has to deal with in real life why should we also have to deal with them online when usually we are expressing ourselves. If you see a troll stand up for the person being trolled on, trust me they will be very grateful!
