I hope you don't mind questions about your oc's. I was curious if Zerina has a specific era/events of Equestria history they love to study the most?

I don’t mind at all!

I feel like her favorite historical era is the establishing of Equestria right after the three tribes comes together under the sisters rule to form one kingdom. It fascinates her to learn how Celestia and Luna brought the ponies together after living separately for so long. Unity didn’t happen over night after all. Along with studying Equestria's ancient past, she has also found interest in recording history from the lands where her mother Zecora grew up. Zerina wants her zebra ancestry to be celebrated as well as well known.

"He's my Brother!"

This takes place before Kallysta adopts Infinite, but Trip certainly sees him as her big brother long before that!

Infinite wasn't sure what to make of this. All these weak humans, all staring at him. He wanted to scare them with a flick of the wrist. Show them who's boss.

Instead, he had to settle for glaring at them.

The girls skipped alongside him, the red-haired one (Xelia, he was pretty sure. He memorized Trip's name, but the other two were harder to memorize) pulling far ahead from time to time.

The two women had asked the four of them to pick up some things from the grocery. One of them needed to check in with her job, and the other, the one who kept looking at him with that odd LOOK, like she was staring into his soul, and then zoning out in a SUPER WEIRD WAY seemed too absentminded to do it, which is why they'd asked the four of them.

Why HE had to go too beat him.

His wrist was still in the cast. He had mostly recovered otherwise, other than that wound in his side.

They entered the store and made their way to the cereal isle. The four were allowed to pick whatever cereal they wanted.

The girls started bickering under their breath as Infinite browsed the options.

There was a yelp from behind him. He whirled around and saw a pair of older women, with the girls at their feet.

It looked like the foolish things hadn't been looking where they were going.

"S-Sorry, ma'ams, won't do it again," The oldest one, the girl with black hair, mumbled as she grabbed the other two by their arms and started to tug them out of the way.

The two women glared at Trip in particular. Something about that set off warning bells in the jackal's head. Something about these two made him feel unsafe.

That look in their eyes was uncomfortably familiar.

They approached him and gave him that same LOOK. He bared his teeth defensively, a box of sugary cereal for the girls in his hand.

He heard one of them mumble: "filthy animal, what're those ladies thinking... As if one wasn't enough..."

That, followed by a withering glare, for some reason made him feel... so SMALL... he HATED THAT!

But his body didn't obey him. He felt his ears droop and he lowered his gaze to hide his face.

"HEY!"

Infinite's head lifted. He'd never seen that tiny sungazer look so upset.

"That's my BROTHER! Get AWAY from him!"

Brother?

Infinite was NOBODY'S brother! He was about to tell her that, but his mouth didn't obey.

The women turned on the little girl.

"What, did you never learn any respect?"

One whispered to the other: "What do you expect from some random freaks of nature? Marching like they own the place..."

Trip's eyes filled with tears.

She was beginning to whimper when Xelia finally unfroze, followed by the other girl (Zerina? He was pretty sure it was Zerina).

"Leave our cousins alone!"

"We don't appreciate that."

The two women stared at the older girls. At the glare on Xelia's face and the anxious plea to go on Zerina's face.

They finally glared at Infinite and Trip one more time before turning, talking loudly about "entitled bratty freaks."

"Th-Thanks," Trip mumbled, wiping at her eyes.

Zerina wiped her little cousin's eyes, then turned to Infinite. "Are you alright?"

He nodded.

"Let's go, before some other ENTITLED KARENS show up," Xelia asserted, speaking loudly so the two women could hear.

Infinite mutely nodded.

Women in Hollywood: Styling the stars (BBC World Service)

Zerina Akers, fashion stylist (Beyoncé), and Camille Friend, hair stylist (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever).

Introducing some of my nextgen ponies! I made them back in 2018 and these were drawn back in 2022. Newer art is in progress ^^

Turning Gear: Inventor with some impressive magical abilities. He is intelligent but the most awkward guy you'll ever meet. He is curious and together with Time Twister he often get into trouble. Starlight has tried and failed to tame his bird's nest of a mane but to no avail.

Classic Remix: A radio host on the shyer side. She feels safe sitting behind a mic but is more withdrawn in public. She likes to dye her mane to add a splash of color to her otherwise gray appearance. Remix has a great singing voice but is too shy to sing for a crowd. She got her cm for specializing on remixing classical music, something she came to love due to her moms' frequent collabs. She shares her music on her radio show.

Lightshow: Expert at creating light shows with her magic. She works as a light “technician” of sorts on live performances. Lately she has been helping Honeycrisp Melody out on her tour. Lightshow is enthusiastic, determined and competitive. One of her favorite things to do is play hoofball with her best friend Fastlegs.

Fastlegs: Sports coach for foals of all ages. Advocates for inclusion and love to teach. He lost his left wing to cancer and had a hard time coming to terms with his new life being flightless. He is the kindest most genuine stallion around. To feel more at ease Fastlegs moved to Ponyville to be closer to his best friend Lightshow and get away from all the expectations he felt back in Cloudsdale.

Honeycrisp Melody: Country singer with a heart of gold. She is a true Apple and loves to help around the farm whenever she can. She is optimistic, excitable and social. She loves to brawl with her cousin Candid Apple and guest star on Classic Remix's radio show. Melody is rather short and unlike most Apples, not as sturdy in her build. She inherited her pegasi traits from Rara's side of the family.

Blazing Hooves: Dedicated firefighter. He is highly empathic and takes his job very seriously. Blaze can be somewhat of a party pooper due to his dedication but his baby sister can usually make him ease up a bit. He wanted to become a firefighter as a colt after his family home burned down and his sister lost one of her legs in the fire.

Time Twister: Time traveler…?👀 She is sassy and confident, as well as dramatic and a smartass. She loves to create just enough of a chaos to stay entertained in her day to day life. One of her favorite pastimes is giving magical items to Gear to tinker with. The occasional explosion is the highlight of her day.

Princess Theory: An elegant and dutiful draconequus with a knack for getting into wacky situations. She loves to pull pranks and be generally annoying. Theory has a pretty dark sense of humor but just like her father she is very charming in her ways. Her parents have passed some impressive magical abilities down to her but her favorite trick is to teleport. She has ADHD.

Candid Apple: Works on Apple Acres. He is talkative, kind, family orientated and has a severe sweet tooth. Candid loves to bake apple treats when he isn’t working the land. His favorite cousin is Melody whom he grew up with on the farm.

Zerina: Librarian for the royal family. She is kind of messy and forgetful outside of work but she's incredibly sweet. She’s humble and generous. Zerina is autistic and her special interest is Equestrian history. Due to her expertise she got the job as the head librarian in the royal library where she can study all the archived materials as she pleases. She is a close friend of princess Theory whom happens to be neurodivergent herself.

Rockslide Pie: Rodeo performer. He is clumsy, silly and tends to fumble on his words. He is bold in his performances.. There is nothing he likes more than to entertain and make others laugh, something he got to discover through his aunty Pinkie.

Snow Quartz: Artist specializing on ice sculptures. She is the younger sister of Blazing Hooves but unlike her big brother she is calm and relaxed most of the time. She is spontaneous and easygoing. She's witty around her brother and likes to joke with him (on his expense). Her missing leg doesn’t bother her at all.

Dieses Bild hat vielleicht keine so lange Geschichte, aber der Moment war voller Abenteuerlust. AJ und ich hatten uns verabredet, um ein paar kreative Ideen auszuprobieren, als plötzlich eine Szene entstand, die wir nicht erwartet hatten.

Während wir noch überlegten, wie wir die Wanne ins Spiel bringen könnten, war Zerina schon in ihrer eigenen Welt: Mit Kapitänsmantel und entschlossenem Blick trat sie an den Bug ihres imaginären Schiffs, bereit, ein neues Ziel anzusteuern.

It was also Zackery and Julien's birthdays too. Julien was bragging that he won the fight against their sister, Zerina, finally. (Zerina won against Julien two different times before.)

Campfire Crash

"Come ON, Trip, how hard can it be!"

Xelia was gathering twigs, setting them up in a tent shape on the grass. The girls were having a backyard campout that they had begged their mothers ALL DAY to get permission for. They had a tent and sleeping bags and everything.

"If you do it, we could make s'mores," the girl teased in her sing-song voice.

"Don't do it, didn't mother say no fires," Zerina pointed out. "We'll get in super big trouble!"

Trip hesitated, a half-formed fireball in her throat. She wanted to make Xelia happy, but Zerina was right. They'd get in trouble.

In that perfect moment, a moth flew past her face.

Trip squeaked and huffed a breath out instinctively. A tiny fireball flew onto the sticks, lighting them.

"There, see? Was that so hard," Xelia smirked in satisfaction.

"Xelia? It's spreading," Zerina pointed out.

The grass around the campfire was smoking, some of the grass underneath and surrounding starting to burn.

"Trip? Can you maybe, I dunno, ABSORB FIRE BACK INTO YOURSELF?!"

"I'M NOT A SALAMANDER!"

"YOU CAN BREATHE FIRE, CAN'T YOU!"

"NOT BRING IT BACK INTO MYSELF!"

"WON'T YOU TWO BE QUIET AND GET THE HOSE!"

The two younger girls stopped yelling at each other and looked at Zerina. She never raised her voice.

"GET AWAY FROM THERE!"

The three girls looked back at the house and saw Kamylla scrambling for the hose. Busted.

The three scrambled away from the burning grass as the hose went on. After a few seconds, the campfire was nothing more than a rough circle of blackened grass and black sticks.

"Do you three have ANY idea what you could've done?!"

"Trip lit it!"

"Xelia told me to!"

"That's enough, you two," Kamylla's eyes were narrowed. It looked like she'd just woken up. It was about 10:00 in the night, after all.

"You could've gotten hurt, or worse! Also, the house could've burned down, you could've damaged the neighbor's property and we would've had to pay for it. We can't afford that!"

The girls' heads were lowered, staring at the ground.

"You know what, I think this was a mistake," Kamylla sighed, rubbing her forehead. "Who's idea was this?"

Trip and Zerina pointed at Xelia.

"Xelia, you're grounded for a week. Also, start packing this stuff up. I'm putting an end to this."

"Kammy, please no!"

"We won't do it again!"

"Moooommmmm, nooooooo!"

"Now."

Zerina and Trip gave her pleading looks that almost won her over. Xelia stomped back towards the tent. When the other two went, Kamylla called her younger daughter over.

Xelia returned, her red hair obscuring her face. Kamylla knew the blue eyes would be full of guilt and betrayal. She felt horrible when she saw her daughter trembling. Her daughters had been dealt a rough hand with past homes.

"Look, Xelia," Kamylla had gotten down on one knee and tucked a finger under her younger daughter's chin, lifting her face to peer into the sky blue eyes.

"We said no fires for a reason. I was upset because I love you three. And you know what that means?"

"...That you'll never let anything happen to us?"

"Exactly. And when I saw that fire, I was so afraid... That you would..." She didn't finish the sentence.

But the girl saw the look in her mother's eyes and knew exactly what she meant.

Xelia flung her arms around her mother's neck. "I'm sorry, mom, I won't do it again!"

"I know you won't. Now go help your cousin and sister."

Xelia received a pat on the head and she scampered back to help her sister and cousin tie up the sleeping bags.

Kamylla stood back up and watched them. Even if they were a handful, she wouldn't give up life with the girls for the world.
