I played D&D with my group today with my new character! I knew I wanted to play a bard and then I discovered the tabaxi. Inktober Day 1 - Ring - Surprising zero people I want to try and do 31 days of World of Warcraft fanart. Inktober Day 2 - Mindless - I'm always thinking about Sylvanas and her being turned into a banshee fit this theme really well, in my opinion. I added tulip petals floating because of the tulip field in her Warbringers short. Overall pretty pleased, I just need to give up on brush pens I'm never happy after the fact. So I haven't been drawing much, surprising no one. But I made a career jump recently that confirmed my suspicions that my current path is not the one I want to stay on. That means more drawing and setting up my design portfolio in a better way. I'm starting with Lup in my new setup because I love her and when I drew my base body something didn't seem right. Normally I would have scanned it and fiddled with in PS because it is easier, but my computer died last week so...post-it notes were my solution. "The Fifth Child" - I shared this on my twitter earlier because it's Evangelion day! I started this a million years ago after I took my husband through NGE for his first(and only he HATED it). I haven't been doing a lot of art honestly because I'm scared of being bad, as counterproductive that sounds. So I decided to revisit Lup since I'm closing in on the endgame with building the costume and I wasnt happy with things. I'm happy with the design and her lineart! Got the rough colors laid down on my new character. I'm trying a new workflow for my digital work and I'm liking it so far. It's basically taking a lot of the techniques I learned from painting traditionally(thanks @davelebow) and just using the same process digitally. It's working well and I feel very comfortable with it. Gonna spend today refining her. So I haven't spent a lot of time drawing like I wanted to(I have been working on things, just not drawing things over on @zephyrmakesthings ) But I did the pencil sketch of my current costume project. Started on translating my tree thumbnails to sketches starting with my smallest of the three. I'm really excited with my stylization.
