#the eyes of amethyst#zephyranthe fleetfoot#candlekeep mysteries#d&d#we completed the Candlekeep campaign but the cleric blew it up with a big self-sacrifice at the end#now we’ve jumped to level 20 and we’re on a mission to save her soul from where it’s trapped in the astral (?) plane#or some other distant fuck off plane#and we’re absolutely getting steamrolled in the very first battle#Nat 20 charisma saves did nothing to help us#poor keeper Janussi got murdered right in front of us#absolutely nothing we could do to stop it#we’re still mid-battle but it’s not great holy fuck#my poor halfling almost had to watch her friend almost kill herself#(and Zeph is harboring some romantic feelings for this friend even though there’s nothing official between them)#friend got dominated by a solar and tried to feed herself to the satchel of snackrifice#(the bag of devouring)#zephyr was grappled and low initiative and just watching it in horror#holy fuck#if we somehow survive this first battle idk HOW the fuck we’re gonna survive the rest#the solar bamfd out leaving us with 4 devas and 4 other corrupted magic-using angels just grinding us down#fuck#it’s 3 in the morning#and I’m fucking shaking in bed rn#scream crying throwing up
