JP as a Father - Hardheaded

-This will contain main story spoilers for street fighter 6 -

Do you think that the Johan Petrovich would care for his offspring? Especially when he didn't care for your mother? JP just needed a little stress relief and your mother was just a lady wanted to sleep with her boss, like in the stories. You just so happen to be the long term consequence of that night.

Naturally, you inherited his psycho power, so your mother moved far away into the corner of the lowlands. She didn't want you anywhere near that man.

At first, your mother didn't know what to do with your power, but you soon found work, cleaning up the sketchy individuals that lurked near your home, robbing them of all their zenny to feed you and your mother.

When you finally came of age, you moved out of your mother's small home and moved away from Nayshall. You wanted to be someone but who could you be? Of course, figuring out the history behind your strange ability is a must. If you didn't get it from your mother, you definitely got it from your father? Right? This type of stuff isn't even a birth defect, from what you've read.

Landing in Metro City, USA, you were excited to see a new city. You got an apartment and enrolled in Buckler's Security Services! You meet your trainer, Luke, and this fellow named Bosch. The way he dresses sure remind you a lot of home.

Going through the main story, trying to find your meaning of strength, Bosch suddenly going MIA, and people requesting help back to back, you somehow ended back where you started: Nayshall. Meeting Kalima and Rewancha and how they talked of a man named JP, you could feel your stomach curl. Something about how they described him, his power, made you think. Your mother always mentioned how she'd use to be an accountant for a large company. She always mentioned she made a big mistake and was protecting you from the danger. And she always said how much she knew you'd never listen to her.

Sneaking into the tournament arena to fix the championship belt, you could feel a lurking presence, a mean, a evil presence lurking around you. You couldn't put your finger on it.. When you reach for the belt, you heard a deep voice. Turning to the voice, you look up at a man. He introduces himself as Johan. Johan Petrovich.

"You're Johan Petrovich?"

He looks at you and nods. You clench your fist, purple fire envelopes it. You hold it up to him in an almost threatening stance.

"Then I will be the one who will take your life."

JP doesn't say anything. That look in your eyes says enough. You have his eyes. When you walk away from him, heading out the door, his voice reaches you.

"Tell your mother I said hello."

After the tournament, your fight with JP, and Bosch's death, you meet JP at the entrance of the arena. You can't help but to look at him with disgust. This man aggravates the fuck out of you, and not in the usual way. He doesn't even look your way when you approach.

"My child,"

"Who the hell you calling that?"

He shakes his head turns to you.

"Your mother was never much of a talker."

You felt your power hyperdrive your anger. You ball your fist, attempting to uppercut the taller male. He hit your hand away with his cane. Taking a large step back, you went into your usual fighting stance.

You stare at the man who just wants to see the end of the world, the man that terrorizes countries because life is meaningless and death is the goal, the man who killed your best friend and countless others, and you couldn't believe what he fixed his lips to say.

"____, I am your father."

They've been on the run for a while, so long that at the very least Rothalion has lost track of time. He's lost track of the number of men they've slain, how many bodies followed in their wake like a trail. Some days they don't even sleep, the risk too high to warrant it or their paranoia far too prominent to allow it. Ro was tired, he was so sick of running... He'd keep going if he had to, he'd do anything for Zenos (obviously) but... A solution was staring them right in the face, and neither had voiced it.

Rothalion lay in their shared bed in a temporary room they had booked for the night. The motel was in the middle of nowhere, they had yet to encounter any obstacles for the day and Ro himself had not even heard the hint of people nearby since arriving. While cautious, ever listening, he was reassured enough that just maybe they could rest... His head feels heavy as is, eyes difficult to keep open even upon that mattress that felt more like a plank of wood than cushion. He sighs softly, sitting up.

"Zenny..." His sentence is broken by an abrupt yawn, Rothalion rubbing his eyes furiously in an effort to actually stay awake. He slumped his shoulders. "... I feel like we've been going about this wrong. That maybe... maybe we ought do something about the source of the problem. I mean, we're pretty much slicing off heads of a hydra here. Unless we intend to slay the entire population of unfortunates willing to ally themselves for money, we're gonna be running forever..." He shifted, resting himself so that the headboard of the bed kept him sitting upright; he was too tired to do it himself.

"I think... I think its time we kill Varis."

Even Zenos, once TRAPPED in a lifestyle more toxic than it was luxurious, could not lie and claim he didn't MISS the comforts said luxuries afforded to him. The plushness of his own bed, the expansive space of his own room, and the peace of mind that came with going to sleep every night knowing he needn't sacrifice decent rest to preserve his own life more often than not. His father was nothing if not SERIOUS about who he employed to protect his assets, and even if the runaway pair were doing an embarrassingly fine job of disposing of these forces, such did not mean it wasn't beginning to wear down on both mind and body.

He can see it in his face... his skin, his hair. The bags 'neath his eyes, the thinness of once beautiful, perfect hair... and to even consider counting the scars littering his body would take up ample time they simply did not have. Even to run a wash rag down his face felt like it took a touch too much energy, and to blame it entirely on the poor quality of the rag itself would simply be delusional.

" Hm? " He hears Rothalion call him from the tiny bedroom they've rented for the night, and shuts off the running water so what follows is not lost.

Come the conclusion, he's glad he did.

It's not a foolish idea by any means... RECKLESS, but not foolish. Then again, have they not been reckless since first meeting? Since deciding they would become MORE than two coworkers fueled by a mutual love for battle? What difference is the MURDER of one of the biggest, most influential tyrants going to make to their current track record?

" The same thought crossed my mind a few days ago, " he begins, setting the rag down so he can post himself against the doorframe. " You understand many have attempted, yes? He is much unlike the fodder he has sent after us to prolong this game. Such is not to say we cannot do it... merely that we will need more than wits, luck, and our current resources to accomplish it. "

could we get a master list of zenyatta headcanons (or honestly whatever comes to mind first) (maybe this is a repetitive ask. if so, I beg for your forgiveness, king)

It's alright don't worry, anyone can send as many asks as they'd like, I'm just slow to reply sometimes. As for Zenyatta headcanons I'm drawing a blank on a lot of them (it's 12 AM here and I have to drive my friend to work in the morning lulz) but here's some off the top of my head:

Zenny is almost at Dva's skill level in terms of gaming but he's very casual about it - he likes the competition! You could argue it's cause he's an omnic that he learns so fast and is "naturally good", but he personally wants to separate himself from that, and just let loose and play like how anyone else would. He also likes the community aspect of gaming and hearing how much love people put into just creating something fun and engaging to connect with other people. He likes to 100% complete games as well.

Zenyatta hates juggling because he can't actually do it. The amount of skill required for it sucks, and whenever he attempts he accidentally brings out one of his transcendence arms out of habit and messes it all up. Whenever he tries to fake it, it looks horrendously bad and he's just stopped doing it altogether to prevent further embarrassment (Ramattra was the one who made fun of him for it) He's a bigger fan of just spinning his orbs in his hands - or just yo-yos.

I'm still thinking over this (PVE will probably confirm or deny) but Zenyatta got his name from Mondatta when he entered the Shambali (if they happened to have the same name when they met though that'd be fucking funny cause I'd imagine Mondatta literally lighting up when he hears another omnic has a matching name as him. Ramattra gives him a side-eye cause he was *this* close to being named Zenyatta if he didn't come up with his own name. Instant baby brother). He was nameless prior to it, and it upsets him sometimes that he couldn't have given himself a name.

Zenyatta may have been the one to push Ram on the ideas of achieving justice for omnics, though it obviously didn't go very well and it ended up in a heated debate between Ram and Datta when Ram brought it up, which caused Ram to leave. It made Mondatta very upset to lose someone so close, and Zenyatta felt partially responsible for it.

This is already somewhat established in canon but I think he's very reluctant on opening up about himself and showing his own grieving process to the point where he'd just avoid thinking about them altogether. This may just be an issue with Zenyatta having very little lore for years in general, but yeah, having Ramattra leave and hearing about Mondatta's death (imo the two support beacons in his life, the two who had MUCH clearer goals than he does) just shattered him and now he's doesn't really know his own purpose. (It's probably why he won't tell anyone about what he did prior to the crisis, the only person I see him talking about it with is Mondatta and it's very barebones.)

"That's a cute name. You're quite bold to give such a nickname to the Omni-King but they seem to like it so I do as well."

Still, Beerus and Whis are confounded at the mere notion that Goku gave out a nickname so uncanny to a being who could very easily wipe them out just by thinking it.

"Perhaps regular visits could be a thing between you two. It does please me that he finally has a friend to play with outside of his loyal assistants, myself included. It's... calming."

Ok so Sigma's been my main tank basically since he's come out and is the second most played character of mine, next to Zenny. Float bois for LYFE.

Anyway I have a dire need for a PvE mission (if they ever actually make em) for the jailbreaking/rescue of sigma from Talon's talons.

Who do you think would be the four man team for the job and why?

In all honesty, I'm not sure. Overwatch clearly sees Talon as the bad guys but I'm not for sure what a lot of the Overwatch aligned character's attitudes towards Sigma are. We do know that Baptiste and Soldier believe he's being used/brainwashed/manipulated, and some of the Overwatch aligned characters also see Widow as a victim of Talon, but some could also believe he's in Talon for his own gain and not necessarily a victim despite what happened/what's happening to him.

Sigma is honestly kind of difficult when it comes to pinpointing his morals — in OW1 he seemed more coherent but in OW2 he seems more...out there? I believe he is aware of what Talon is and what they do, and is simply only interested in getting what he needs from them, determining this from his interaction with Baptiste in game. But we do know despite this that Talon is still manipulating him for their own gain and he does not know it. Personally, I believe he's more of a morally grey character, where he's not necessarily 100% good but he's not 100% bad either. But then again he doesn't really have enough lore for me to base a conclusion of where he stands morally, thanks Blizzard.

We also need to take in account if Sigma wants to be saved and would comply with them — I don't believe he's really all that helpless, and considering he's literally the most powerful character, being able to control literal gravity, I imagine he's not exactly someone you'd want to piss off too much. But then again, we do know he's still stabilizing and getting used to his abilities. I believe he knows he's powerful, I just think canonically he's at a point where he hasn't unlocked his "full potential," so to say.

But assuming there could be a potential PvE event/story where the Overwatch aligned characters do attempt to get him out of Talon, I could see the team being made up of Baptiste, Mercy, Reinhardt and Tracer.

I believe Baptiste and Tracer could work well since they seem to have stronger feelings towards Talon than most of the Overwatch aligned characters. Baptiste tries convincing Sigma that he's being used and he was in Talon at one point himself, and Tracer got a first hand account of what sort of cold, calculated machines that Talon manipulates their human weapons to be, so I believe she could potentially feel pity for him. Rein and Mercy for the same reason in that they both dislike Talon, but I believe Baptiste could have interesting interactions with Sigma out of the whole bunch if this was an actual PvE event.

After Jackie Bags Hyde (3.8), the rest of season 3 is pretty much a drought, as far as Zennie Jackie x Hyde moments are concerned. However, my dedication to my all-time favorite OTP is strong, and I will attempt to manipulate, twist, and pull Jackie x Hyde moments out of nothing in almost every episode. The following moment from Radio Daze (3.14) is no exception to these wily, far-fetched, and often absurd ideas running through my head:

When Jackie agrees to lend Kelso the money to buy the El Camino, she is clearly conflicted. She doesn’t trust Kelso, but Jackie is no stranger to using situations to her advantage, thus she strikes the deal that makes Kelso her errand boy. I like to imagine, however, that part of what influences Jackie’s decision to lend Kelso the money is also her interest in cars. It’s right after Kelso says “But this is an El Camino!” that Jackie ultimately decides to give him the money. She realizes what an opportunity this is. So, I like to think her appreciation for the El Camino influenced her decision as well.

With that idea in mind, it also makes it very amusing that Leo ends up giving the car to Hyde, instead of selling it to Kelso. All of a sudden, the boy that Jackie has tried to convince herself that she no longer has feelings for is driving the car that she admired enough to lend Kelso the money to buy. In no way do I think that this necessarily motivates her feelings toward Hyde (as even at this point in the show it has been shown that her feelings for him having nothing to do with material possessions), but, for me at least, it’s a fun approach for watching this episode. Especially with the way the show drops any and all traces of Jackie and Hyde’s relationship faster than you can say “Zenmasters” after Jackie Bags Hyde.

I just want to rant about amps for a minute, forgive this.

I feel like the single best demonstration of the mediocrity of operator gameplay is to make someone hunt just 1 Eidolon.

In that time it becomes evident that Operators just. Don't have anything to do in this game.

Operators work perfectly fine as a passive additional buff to warframes.... well kinda. There are a lot of holes, bad decisions, bad focus school abilities, etc

BUT STILL, as a passive "side grade" to your gameplay they work fine! More energy or damage or survivability just easily tacked onto your build, that's fine! Could be more interesting etc, but it's fine!

But when you demand the operator actually does something demanding, some piece of content specifically made for THEM and not just "Slow that group" "Magus lockdown those guys" it becomes brain-numbingly empty.

Operators can equip only 1 weapon at a time, and that weapon has 2 fire modes that never matter since they use the same ammo pool so you just use the "right" one for the encounter, and your options are "Status" which does nothing 90% of the time, and has a really big flaw I'll mention shortly, or go "crit" which is just you begging desperately to do enough damage to not have to use operator anymore.

Now the big flaw? It's the same regardless of building for status or crit.

Have.

No.

Meaningful.

Ways.

To.

Build.

For.

ANYTHING.

Operators have arcanes and that's it.

Go fuck yourself.

No mods, no meaningful amp parts since they can be summed up as "Good, this adds damage" and "Bad, this does nothing"- you're NEARLY hard locked at the same low output as everyone else all because ??????

The list of things that affect amp damage is so small it hurts.

You've got arcanes, which obviously has the caveat of being the latest of game acquisitions, often being things you have to Do The Content That Requires The Arcanes in order to actually Get The Arcanes You Needed To Do The Content (dumb), you've got the amp parts themselves which again, isn't as exciting as it sounds since it's pretty definitive how to make a good amp and how 90% of amp parts do fuck all for you, you have a small few focus abilities like void strike and wisps, both of which really do feel like insulting band-aids on a part of the game that has no meaningful decisions to make, and Volt shield for whatever reason (still don't get that).

It's.

Just something I find personally aggravating.

Amps being so painfully limited in what can be done to make them not dog shit feels like the worst decision they could have made in a poor attempt to make the 2 pieces of content that utilize amps, Eidolons and Angels, more difficult.

A failure of a decision as well, as all it's done has homogenized the right way to tackle both pieces of content where now you'll almost exclusively see the same amp EVERYWHERE if the players you're playing with are mid game+, you'll see volt in Eidolons, and you'll see Madurai against Angels (though, thankfully, Angels don't seem to scale worth a damn so you can use whatever it's just if you're trying to do it Fast and Well then it's pretty much just void strike, I find that tedious so I've just been using Zenny's slow to allow me to do enough damage before the orbs despite not running madurai).

I'm just salty amps are so limited and that those limits make the very little gameplay that uses operator as a core function feel like shit.

Here is another important thing to remember if you are in the United States: your eye doctor MUST give you a copy of your prescription in any appointment where they measure your eyes to determine the prescription! You do not have to ask for it, you do not have to pay extra for it, they are legally obligated to put it in your hot little hand even before they attempt to sell you glasses.

And what does that mean for you? It means that you can go literally anywhere that sells prescription glasses, give them your prescription, and get the exact same type of glasses that the optometrist was going to sell you, often with options for a substantially reduced price. My prescription is not particularly complicated, but the optometrist wanted a couple hundred dollars out the door for basic glasses. I went on Zenni and got the prescription filled with cheap frames, blue light blocking and anti-reflective coating for under 50 dollars. Without the bells and whistles, it would've been less.

Your mileage is obviously going to vary, and it becomes more difficult if your prescription is highly technical and complicated, but the point is that you never _have_ to buy glasses from your optometrist. You can and should shop around, and if your optometrist tries to keep you from doing that, they are doing a crime.

Made the mistake of bringing up that needing glasses is a disability on tiktok and people got real mad.

“You can fix it with glasses” yeah, cuz they’re a disability aid? But like, I still have to pay 160 bucks to use my own fucking eyes?

Like, by definition, if your eyes do not work without aid, you have a disability to see.

Having a disability doesn’t automatically put you in what people consider the “disabled” category, but that doesn’t change the fact that it is in fact, a disability.

Sega Mega Drive - Forgotten Worlds

Title: Forgotten Worlds / フォゴットンワールズ

Genre: Horizontal Rotational Shoot-em-up

WARNING: The Mega Drive version is also unusual in that it is one of the few Mega Drive games that have trouble handling 6-button controllers, including the Sega Nomad in its default 6-button mode. Attempting to play the game with a 6-button controller attached causes an immediate game over.

The Capcom Arcade Smash comes to the Mega Drive thanks to Sega (back in the early days Capcom wasn't a Mega Drive developer) and what a smashing job they did. While some of the backgrounds look a little bare compared to the PC Engine version (which came courtesy of NEC Avenue via the Super CD-ROM2 format) it sure makes up for it in speed and smoothness. This Mega Drive version really does play extremely well just like Sega's other Capcom conversions such as Dai Makaimura / Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Strider, and Chiki Chiki Boys.

If you've never played Forgotten Worlds, you may find the controls a little odd at first. Your character can fire in 360 degrees which is achieved by spinning around left or right ways. It does take a few tries to master the direction in which you want to shoot but once that's done, you'll have yourself a great time.

As with many shooters of the time you must collect money to buy power-ups. This money goes under the name of Zenny. Quite an odd name but hey, it's only a game. Throughout the level, a shop will appear pretty much like the ones in Fantasy Zone. In here you can use your hard-earned Zenny to buy power-ups, extra energy, and lives.

If you get the chance to buy Forgotten Worlds don't pass it up. While it's not the most practical shooter out there it really is a good solid blast with quite a challenge.

1. Can of Nina brand peeled tomatoes: This can uses the complementary colors green and red in the illustration of the vine tomatoes as well as the brand name "Nina" and as a border along the top and bottom edges of the can. The contrast in color as well as the size of the tomatoes draws the viewers eyes to the center of the can, emphasizing the product they are trying to sell.

2. Humm mango passionfruit kombucha: The product packaging seems to use analogous colors that are drawn from the colors of passionfruit and mango, which creates a visual connection between the product flavors and the product itself. By using analogous colors, the design remains consistent but also visually interesting; the darkest colors are used in the bottle, again placing emphasis on the product itself.

3. Spilt Milk book cover: The book cover uses predominately cool colors - the background consists of a cool green and blue. The book is about how past generations affect children, and is an emotional look into mental health (anxiety, religion, etc.) so I believe that the use of cool colors is attempting to elicit associations of seriousness, vulnerability, sadness, and memories. The only warm colors are the shirts worn by the illustrations of what seem to be mother and son, perhaps to draw attention to the fact that the novel involves familial topics.

4. Cheetos bag: The design of this bag uses warm, analogous colors (red, red-orange, orange, yellow-orange, yellow). The color choice seem to signal the color and flavors of the Cheetos themself, being that they are a cheesy snack. While Cheetos are not a snack that you heat up, the colors also signify warmth.

scenario idea: narcissa + lucius comforting their children after the kids have a scare or something or something sad happens to them… i’m thinking maybe the children are very young children and have a nightmare about how they saw their parents die in front of them or something scary like that and so narcissa + lucius being the parents i so desperately need are all like “you need a hug, little bug?”

Prompt Day 7: Lucius and Narcissa comforting there children after a bad dream.

notes: I tried to include everything, but I did leave out the quote. Hopefully, this is still a decent attempt 🤞🏼

Lucius fell backwards onto his large bed after a long day, completely exhausted from work. He felt like all he ever did anymore was work and sleep, sometimes getting a meal every once in a while. It was becoming too much for him, as much as he hated to admit it. Thinking back on the last week alone, he had only seen his wife and kids a handful of times. Most of the time being only minutes before bed, leaving just enough time for quick kisses and whispers of “I love you”’s.

He laid there for a moment, wallowing in his guilt and fatigue, just staring at the ceiling, when suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by a hand stroking his hair. He hummed in pleasure as his eyes began to close.

“You’re working too hard,” his wife whispered, continuing to massage his scalp.

Lucius opened his eyes and looked over at her, “I know. I promise things will slow down soon.”

“They better,” she said, shifting slightly on the bed to set the book that had been in her lap on the nightstand, “You’re running yourself ragged and I’m starting to worry about you.”

Lucius rolled onto his side, grabbing his wife by the waist and pulling her close so that her back was against his chest, “You don’t have to worry about me, love. Like I said, things are going to slow down and then I’ll be home so much, you’ll probably get sick of me.”

“I’d never get sick of you,” she giggled, bringing his hand up to kiss it, before lowering it to rest just above her heart.

The conversation died down as the couple drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

“Daddy?”

Lucius woke with a start at hearing his son’s voice. He carefully untangled himself from his wife and turned to see his five year old son holding the hand of his little sister, who was sniffling back tears.

“What’s the matter,” Lucius asked as he rubbed his eyes, still trying to wake up.

“Lyra came into my room because she had a scary dream. I really tried, Daddy, but I can’t make her stop crying.” Draco said, starting to get worked up himself.

“Scawy dweam, Daddy” the little girl copied, reaching her arms out for her father to pick her up.

“It’s alright, princess,” Lucius whispered as he leaned down, picked up the three year old, and sat her on the bed between him and his wife before turning back to his son and helping him into the large bed as well, “You’re okay, dragon. I’m so proud of you for trying to help your sister and I’m glad that you knew to come to us when you couldn’t fix the problem.”

It was at this point that Narcissa woke up as well, hearing little voices and feeling little bodies moving in her bed. Lyra, sensing that her mother was now awake, immediately flung herself into her mother’s arms.

“Aw, did you have a bad dream, my love?” Narcissa asked, holding her little girl close and rubbing soothing circles on her back.

“She woke me up first, Mummy,” Draco explained, still seeming rather stressed out, “She said that there was a monster chasing us and that you and Daddy tried to save us, but then the monster ate you!”

Both parents looked at their son with concern as he began to cry as well as he recalled the scary dream. Narcissa opened her arms and Draco rushed in, trying to find comfort against his mother’s body. Lucius also reached out, caressing both children’s backs, trying to reassure them that it was nothing but a dream. They continued to soothe both children until their crying was reduced to nothing but hiccups.

“You both were so brave. That sounded like a very scary dream.” Narcissa whispered to both of her children, holding on to them tightly.

“Now that everyone is safe and we’re all together, why don’t we try to get some sleep, hmm?” Lucius suggested, prying his daughter out of his wife’s hands so that she could lay beside him, leaving Draco to rest in his mother’s arms.

“You protec us, Daddy?” Lyra asked innocently, her eyes getting heavy.

“Mmhmm, Daddy’s going to be right here. I’m not going to let any monster get to you or Draco, or Mummy.”

“Okay, Daddy,” she murmured, snuggling into his chest, finally allowing her eyes to close.

Lucius couldn’t help but smile as he examined his family. He truly lived for moments like these. He felt like he could take on the world knowing that his children saw him as this superhero that could stop any fear they had. He was the great protector of his family and seeing everyone fall back to sleep only seemed to prove that to him. He fought off sleep for a while, just trying to hold on to that feeling, but taking in the pure image of his beautiful wife and perfect children was proving too much for him and he soon found himself drifting off, dreaming of heroically fighting off a vicious monster, successfully protecting his family from harm.
