This is a entry for Zelink Wedding Week day 4 crowns. The story is set after Tears of the Kingdom, so there will be spoilers

Link has never imagined this day has come as he look in the mirror that the crown he is wearing and his blue royal clothes. The ghost of his father in law has hinted his acceptance of Link marrying his daughter, and become king. But how can Link rule Hyrule when he fail to defeated Calamity Ganon over 100 years ago and stop Zelda for becoming a dragon so the Master Sword would be powerful to defeat the Demon King that created Ganon? He has to again thanks Rauru and Sonia’s spirits later for turning Zelda back.

The 127 years old king let out a sigh as his wife Zelda in her formal dress come up with their three years old daughter Mipha Sonia Hyrule in her arms to Link and said, “You look nice, Link.” and he smile as the hero notice the tiaras wore by his wife and their daughter whose said, “I like papa outfit too.” Link give Zelda a kiss, with their crowns touching each other.

Queen Zelda said, “ Well, we better be ready for the council meeting.” and Link nod as the couple leave the bedroom, knowing that the crown is not much than a symbol of his happy marriage with Zelda.

Link glanced at his hand shaking in Zelda’s, bewildered as much by the fine, royal-blue cloth of his new shirt as he was by the thought of stepping into that courtyard with his wife (his wife!) as her husband (her husband?!) for the first time; the king would glare, but he could stuff it—the images making Link’s palms sweat were the smirks, elbows, and winks which could very well come from 90% of the castle guard.

“It’s alright,” Zelda said with a radiant smile undiscovered until this moment, submerged by all their time alone in the Dark—she squeezed his hand as it enthralled him, resurrecting yet another withered corner of his hidden heart, its blood joining the pulse she’d raised from the ashes before dawn; she pulled, spurring them over the threshold—he followed her, his sudden Sun, their first step into the light of day heralding a multitudinous uproar.

A line of soldiers rushed toward them, brandishing sharp cries of joy, heavy fists raised in celebration, wild grins and Link’s name on their lips—they had him on their shoulders in an instant, steadied by a dozen pairs of hands, and while he couldn’t help but laugh, he’d lost the hand he wanted most; he turned to seek her and found her hoisted, delivered to his side, her fingers threading through his as maidens twined lily of the valley through her hair, as the crowd paraded them, the forsythia blooms and white rose petals fluttering in the air a bright consequence outlining their love’s unbroken shape: hand-in-hand.

Zelink Wedding week: Proposal

"Hm?"

Link took in a shaky breath, then took his beloved's hands into his own. I can do this. Sheik looked at him with a curious expression, making the hero's heart beat faster. "I'll swim a-and sail on savage seas," his voice was soft as a whisper, a blush visible on his ears. "and never fear of drowning. I'll gladly ride the waves of life if," he felt his voice choke up, but he pressed on, "you will marry me."

He stood up from the ground and helped Sheik up, the look on his face as continued the song giving him more confidence. "No scorching sun, nor freezing cold will stop me on my journey" Link put a hand on Sheik's waist, bringing him closer, "if you will promise me your heart." He leaned to the sheikah's ear, "And love-"

"And love me for eternity," Sheik smiled at his hero as he finished the line, who held the largest smile he had ever seen, eyes sparkling like the stars. "My dearest one, my darling dear, your mighty words astound me. But I've no need of mighty deeds when I feel your arms around me!" Sheik giggled as Link spined him around, and wrapped his arms around the other.

"But I would bring you rings of gold, I'd even sing you poetry-"

"Oh would you now?"

"And I would keep you from all harm! If you would stay beside me!" The two began to dance, both having goofy grins as they continued their duet.

"I have no use for rings of gold, I care not for your poetry, I only want your hand to hold."

"I only want you near me!"

"To love, to kiss, to sweetly hold! For the dancing and the dreaming!" Their voices sang in perfect harmony, and Link's eye held a mischievous glint that Sheik had not noticed yet. "Through all life's sorrows and delights, I'd keep your love beside me! I'll swim and sail on savage seas with ne'er a fear of drowning and gladly ride the waves of life-" Link spined Sheik around and just as he pulled his beloved in, he dipped him and held his cheek.

"If you will marry me."

Sheik was shocked at Link's boldness, but it wouldn't last for long as he pulled Link in for a kiss.

The planet of Hyrule has known peace for decades. Princess Zelda, heir to the throne, has gotten to watch her best friend and general of the Hylian army, Link, explore neighboring planets, lead diplomatic missions, and defend their planet against possible attacks for years.

But when a strange moon appears in the Hylian skies, shining with hostile light, Zelda is the first to volunteer to investigate. Link and his right hand man, Ganondorf, enlist their services alongside her. As the team begins to study the strange moon, they soon discover that it is filled not only with fearsome monsters, but an ancient evil that seems to call to the spirits of each one of them. Will they be able to neutralize the threat to protect Hyrule, or will the presence of the moon unleash a curse that has lain in wait for generations?

This was my very first fic, and the one that got me writing Zelink in the first place! It'll always have a special place in my heart

After the defeat of Calamity Ganon, Link and Zelda set off to unite Hyrule, despite the fact that Link does not have his memories, and Zelda is still recovering from her imprisonment in the castle. Along the way, they wrestle with their relationships with each other, themselves, and the people they want to protect.

This story serves as a loose connection between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, exploring the relationship between Link and Zelda in the wake of disaster.

Alright, let’s see...

Time and Twilight are excluded here because Time has Malon, and Twilight is heavily implied to be interested in Ilia (plus the whole Midna mess) so he’s not here either.

...And before anybody gets on my case, Legend and Fable aren’t siblings here! Them being siblings is just a headcanon! They’re not related here!

Anyways, this got long so I’m putting it under the cut.

For Sky and Sun... I think Skyloft has a lot of traditions and things, so their wedding would have a lot of that. Everybody on Skyloft attends I’m sure, plus the handful of friends Sky and Sun made on the surface, the kikwi’s and mole guys (who’s names I’m not remembering at the moment) and all. They probably have the wedding somewhere in Faron, as the first wedding on the Surface Grooseland and it’s a very happy affair :)

Once Four is old enough to get married, I think his and Dot’s wedding is a lot like Sky’s: lots of tradition, but not too big of an event, lots of family and friends (and people they have to invite because it’s technically a royal wedding 🙄). The minish probably help in all sorts of little ways, with any food and little details on Dot’s dress. Her and Four probably aren’t nearly serious enough during the ceremony, and a couple of people are scandalized. They don’t care a bit.

Wind has a while to go before he’s old enough to really get married, but I think him and Tetra make it a pretty small deal. Tetra suggested eloping but she was mostly kidding. Mostly. They probably have the ceremony on the ship, but dock it at Outset so they can have the party afterwards there without running out of room. It takes them a while to find someone to officiate (you can’t officiate your own wedding, Tetra) Makar and Medli do the music, and Tingle probably invites himself.

Legend, after he accepts that Marin is gone and lets himself love again (...it probably takes a while), would probably prefer a pretty small wedding. Fable is all for it (I’m sure she’d hate a fuss), so they have a quiet wedding in the apple orchard by Legend’s house. Ravio somehow ends up making money off of it, and probably gives Legend one of his own items as a wedding gift.

Hyrule, no matter which Zelda it is that he’s in love with (I certainly don’t have any clue XD) does not want a big wedding. Of course, he somehow ends up with one anyways because he’s marrying a princess and especially if you add in the whole “destined to be king” thing he possibly has it’s probably a wedding and a coronation, so it’s a Big Deal. Poor Hyrule is an absolute mess of nerves.

Warriors and Artemis almost elope. They very much consider just booking it from the castle for a week or two to get married then come back, so they can skip the whole fuss and political nonsense that comes with a royal wedding, but Impa keeps giving them glares so she’d probably stop them. So they put up with the whole spectacle of everything, then very much enjoy a quiet honeymoon.

Wild... I’m a little hesitant to say much about since I haven’t played totk yet (no spoilers!!!) and am not quite sure how things have changed between him and Flora (if at all). But either way, I think they probably try to have a nice quiet wedding, then have a bigger party afterwards. Probably a little like Rhondson and Hudson’s wedding, it’s just a small affair. Then a big party and everything afterwards where they invite everyone they can, everybody Wild’s met and helped over the years.

i ship totk zelink but specifically in a “they were close friends for years post-botw before making it romantic” way, in a “they will never have a church wedding and children” way, in a “they don’t spend every second together in fact only a few days a week do they coexist for long stretches of time bc they both have many friends and hobbies outside of their relationship” way, in a “they awkwardly kept their distance post-botw but realized they WANTED each other in their lives instead of being assigned to each other” way, in a “one or both of them is/are on the asexual spectrum” way, in a queer way, in a they’d-die-for-each-other way, in a they need space or else they’ll resent each other way. i still don’t ship them in botw, even if i see the potential. and then that potential comes to fruition in totk. also they’re like 22 and not 17 which makes them way more capable of having an adult relationship less bound by duty/obligation. they’re both weird and socially awkward but almost universally loved. they are definitely the zelink ever.

This is for Zelink Wedding Week 2023, and it’s set between between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. The entry is for day 1: proposal.

Link sit on the log, nervous about what he is about to do. It has been months since Link has saved Zelda and they both destroyed Calamity Ganon together. Link has bring Zelda across Hyrule to see the land after one hundred years has passed and reunited with old friends, but now living in Hateno Village for the time being, Link and is unsure what to do now despite he and Zelda begin the process of restoring Hyrule to its former glory.

In his hands is a small box, and what inside is something has went over painfully to get. He hunt down Taluses to get the right gems, and have to wear Gerudo clothes to get inside Gerudo Town to have this made. The more Link think about it, the heavier and heavier the box feel to him. Link is not even sure if….

“Link?” the voice of Zelda return Link back to reality and he turn to see Zelda behind his back, looking worried about Link. Zelda ask her knight, “Is something the matter?”

Link got on his knees and open the small box in front of Zelda, revealing a ring, and ask the princess, “Zelda, will you marry me?” Zelda start crying and answer, “Yes… yes, I will, Link!” and the two happily kiss, unaware of a dragon that let out a tear as it fly by Hateno Village above the clouds.
