Hahahahaha
I used this post
@professorsparklepants @tuesdayisfordancing
And my teacher didn’t know what a zeguma is and I was very pleased because I butt heads with this teacher a lot bc he practically worships Nathaniel Hawthorne (author of The Scarlet Letter) and I think Hawthorne is a thot.

-Despite being civilians (not enfranchised), Juan "Johnny" Rico's family is very well-to-do. Beyond not being allowed to vote, they don't seem to be mistreated by the Federation.
-Again, despite being not citizens, Rico isn't barred from what's most likely public education.
-Rico's parents tried to bribe Johnny with a vacation to Zeguma Beach if he didn't sign up for Federal service, and went to Harvard instead. Civilians aren't denied freedom of movement and can seek higher education.
-Disabled Veterans aren't shunned from public society (Lt. Rasczak is allowed to reenlist). Two are public school teachers and another is a recruiter for Federal Service (in the books the recruiter deliberately refrains from wearing his prosthetic legs to scare off potential recruits).
-Recruits are allowed to leave boot camp anytime without any reprisal from the Federation.
-The government is very transparent about the disaster at Klendathu (would you admit to losing 100,000 men in an hour?), and the Sky Marshal responsible is quickly replaced.
-Individuals are able to bring up dissenting ideas on public television, despite how ridiculous the idea of a brain bug is.
-No Cults of Personality, we don't even know who the leader and ruling party (if there is a party system) of the Federation are.

Probably!Nami is running away from some pirates. I normally don’t bring up the writing since, translation issues, but one pirate says “Stop! You can’t run from us!” and dude, clearly she is.
Is she gonna go to the Grand Line? Hmm... probably she’s going to sell it and make oodles and oodles of money. Heists!
I should probably mention that I was Real Tired when I wrote this, so it might be a little incoherent.
So one of the pursuers, who looks a little like Frankenstein(’s monster), says that if they lose it, Buggy will kill them.
Hmm... Well, Very Likely!Nami is pretty obviously killing or at least likely killing several people so far, but on the other hand, she’s also very much putting her life on the line too (actually every time we’ve seen her so far she’s been doing something life-threatening. The boat thing was putting her in as much danger as her target). How Russian Roulette-y. I wonder what she’ll do when she’s the one getting shot?
Anyway, Luffy and the bird are shot down by Buggy’s Shooter Thingy, and then Luffy comes crashing into the ground and also Likely!Nami’s life.
(Zeguma! What a cool shot.)
Anyway, Luffy is obviously fine. Probably!Nami capitalizes on Luffy being there by immediately going “Hey, look, a distraction!” (Well, she calls Luffy her boss).
I thought these pirates wanted the map. Dudes, wouldn’t she just leave with the map and sell it, if she’s willing to immediately throw her supposed boss under the bus?
Pirates are very easy to trick.
Anyway, one of the pirates try to swipe at Luffy’s hat. Luffy wins that fight. After that, Nami pops up from a roof and suggests, that since Luffy is really strong, maybe they could work together? Luffy. No, Luffy.
Oh yeah, and she also says she’s a thief that only steals from pirates. Well, looks like this might be a little complicated.
And that’s Volume 1!

And i think you mean like-- the lancer
Id tell you abkut that trope but ur smart. U can do ur own research
What the fuck is.a.zeguma--
Is it a vegetable? A green bean pergphhaps????
Sounds like a bad anime character. Like one of the ones that is comparatively worse at everything the protagonist is good at but is still their friend and is a bit funny

☀️ Share a line with figurative language.
“…Wh/eelja/ck?” Star/scrc/eam finally calls out.
‘Gosh, don’t choke swallowing your pride, lover!’ Wh/eelj/ack thinks to himself.
This line is both really funny and delightful to me, because 1.) it's said right after a sex scene and Star/scrc/eam is just trying to awkwardly take off his bd/sm harness and it's not sexy or hot at all and 2.) I adore zegumas, metaphors, and other kinds of word play, so it's very lyrical and pleasant on the tongue when read aloud. I especially love examples that compliment the kink; "under the weight of his paunch and choices" is another good one from "Carry you home (and scold you afterwards)"
I don't always read my fics aloud, but if I'm worried something doesn't sound naturally worded, I'll say it to myself a couple of times. This one I will just echo over and over to myself like a fool bc I love how it sounds

Poetry
Hidden in my poems Are my feeling for you, Wrapped in metaphors they cry With love and longing for you. They scream your name As with zegumas, they bare My body and my soul, In similies are hidden secrets, That they shy away from, In images is envisioned That future they wish for, My poetry holds you, And kisses you with words, Kisses I hoard, Words I cherish, My poetry tells a story, Of my feelings for you That…

Archaeologists discovered three unique mosaics at the Ancient Greek city of Zeugma, in south Turkey, near the borders of Syria.
How incredibly beautiful.
