SO true. and i love it when there are characters who are mirrors but don't know it because they're practically strangers, even though it's so clear to the audience, who can see their full stories side by side and all the similarities they have

I fucking love it when there are two characters who are mirrors!!!!!! i love it when they look at the other and see themself or look at themself and see the other, i love it when there are characters who know they're mirrors and they hate it, i love it when there are characters who are mirrors and they're friends because they know to end up enemies would be far worse. i love it when there's characters who are mirrors and so of course they meet each other on their own terms and that's why they hate each other, i love when there are characters who are not used to seeing themself reflected back and don't know how to react. i love it when there are characters who are mirrors!!!!!!

I have been talking. NONSTOP. with @eggseventy about Zeemyth's ROOTHOUSE series. They've been transcribing all the videos over time: I went Past the Farlands, Backroom Shorts, All 3 Test Videos, and as of tonight Weird Door is the latest transcript.

And I am. SO convinced. Roothouse!Zee is some sort of robot who becomes organic through sybiosis with the hhouse. I don't even really know how to organize my thoughts about this and its super late here but I'm gonna try!

In the Weird Door video, he says it's an old world, but it doesn't really obey the rules of Minecraft. And he has a full hunger bar but doesn't heal. He comments on having food, but doesn't ever eat. AND LIKE. IT MAKES SENSE TO ME THAT IF HE WERE A ROBOT, HE WOULDN'T EAT BUT STILL TAKE DAMAGE THAT WON'T HEAL ITSELF.

But when he's in the hhouse, he gets so desperately hungry, but why is that? I think the hhouse is creeping into him, and that hunger isn't his. That's also why, to me, the cycle never fully ends; he carries a part of the hhouse with him when he gets out, and the 100 days video loops in on itself because a part of him is equally stuck in the hhouse as the hhouse is stuck in him. So then, after that, he "feels" hunger and other things that he wouldn't have before.

Which also, I think Roothouse!Zee goes on to become Redacted!Zee directly, like I think it's the same character. His second RSMP video is the one that really cements that for me, because the entity fucking with him just plays him like a fiddle using a lot of the hhouse's techniques. It plays a jukebox outside his base, it takes his dog, etc. All things that parallel moments from the Roothouse stuff in my opinion. And then you end the video and it's like. . . he's trapped in these weird hallways and stuff? So much to unpack. I need to rewatch that video.

I don't think this is canon to clarify I've just been thinking about this nonstop these last few days. An inhuman thing becomes more human, but not without suffering? In my saiintly apocrypha? yeah actually bird found in sky towel found in bathroom water found in ocean.

i recommend watching zeemyth's bedrock.zip, pandora.rar (most of them are unlisted), and roothouse ^_^

three of them are separate minecraft horror projects that he's done. the storytelling is great and the editing and visuals are fire :D

though i'm pretty sure that they're discontinued now, since i think zee quit yt, but they're still very fun to watch :3

1 - I have had a dual citizenship from birth and am currently in an official language learning school in my area to learn German, one of my citizenships :)

2 - I like playing games ALOT, but don't really have a genre I stick to that much. Sometimes I like to play really unforgiving and difficult games, such as Hades, Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, Cuphead and SSBU (competitively), but then I also have a few thousand combined hours on games like Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Cult of The Lamb (Animal Crossing but with gore and sex if anyone is unaware), ToTk, and Subnautica.

2.5 - Slightly related to gaming, I once downloaded and spent like 15$ to play duos on Fortnite with my friend over the summer, and haven't touched it since. In 2018. Same friend still argues that I'm an 'OG' despite literally playing like 7 matches overall.

3- I LOVE some analog horror/horror series. I get a lot of people think that they are uncreative slop, but some of the stuff out there is actually really good. I'd personally suggest The Walten Files, 'The Big 3' (Marble Hornets, EverymanHybrid, Tribe Twelve), Vintage8's channel as a whole, AlanTutorial, ChezzKids.com, and Bedrock.ZIP/PANDORA.JAR/The Roothouse (these three are all accessible on Youtube through Zeemyth's channel. Roothouse has its own playlist of around 20 videos of simple storytelling, while the first two are confirmed to be ARGs, currently ongoing and active, unlike a majority of the older series that I've listed here).

bedrock.zip is one that'd id consider a genuine masterpiece along with whitepine. everything zeemyth has made is very good though and id recommend it if you like horror and stuff that pushes the boundaries of the minecraft video genre as a whole. like whitepine, a lot of his stuff is slower and quieter, leaning heavily on mystery and doing a great job at building tension. also there's so many shots and cinematic choices that are absolutely gorgeous.

if you want more series that have the same people as whitepine, lifesteal and kaboodle smp are two that i know pretty well which have a decent overlap in terms of cast. lifesteal is very fun and is a lot more on the improvised and competitive side of things rather than being a pre-concieved story, and has both video and stream content. kab smp is much more of a planned story (mostly not scripted but definitely planned ahead), and while it's certainly not perfect in a lot of regards, it is so clear that so much love and passion was put into the project which makes it a fun watch. it's all streamed content, but there's a very organized official vods channel on youtube. it also finishes recently, so you can see the whole story from start to finish!

if the idea of lifesteal having a story that's mostly driven by competition sounds fun, there's quite a few other things that fall into that category! the life series, or traffic life as a lot of fans call it, is probably the most well known and for good reason! it's very well made and fun and if you want something with a large amount of fan content, oh boy it has a lot. there's also 6 seasons, with one currently ongoing (3rd life, last life, double life, limited life, secret life, wild life). deceit smp (2 seasons) and death vote are series of the same type of death game genre, both of which i personally like a lot, and while i haven't gotten around to watching it yet, i know a lot of my friends really like secret rivals, and i trust their judgment. most if not all of these are video format, not livestreamed.

last recommendation for now, skyblock kingdoms is very cool and has a lot of variety in terms of gameplay, plot, and shenanigan oriented content. lots of story and rp, but also a good amount of goofing off and ignoring the main plot while still not breaking the immersion of being in the same world/story. also has the fun bonus of being a skyblock server! video and stream content.

tldr;

bedrock.zip (and most of zeemyth's content in general): spooky, slow, cinematic, mystery, scripted, videos

kaboodle smp: lots of people from whitepine, dramatic, clear passion, planned story, livestreams, 3 seasons (completed)

hello welcome back!!! wifies has done a whole array of video types over time, so it might vary depending on what you like. personally, not a fan of the escape room videos cause like. . . its cool but i play minecraft to make lil towns so the mechanics are not that interesting to me. but if you like Ken, then you'll like wifies's escape room stuff! hes pretty genuine when he goes thru them, and hearing him think live is fun tbh.

he had a vsauce style era that was fun, and i think my favorite video from that time is F A R, which is about the farlands, and u get to see his fuckin ANCIENT intro cut along with his horrible mic and its so fucking funny. God. He Sounds So Young. What The Fuck. if you have a general interest in the farlands, AntVenom has great videos breaking down what they are (and if you want to see a horror story told using the farlands as a device, ROOTHOUSE by Zeemyth is incredible)

the ARG videos are where i have the most fun (is an unfiction freak) but i think Horrifying Discoveries in Minecraft Beta Footage is a good one to start bc the ARG is currently still active and theres a follow up video :> so if u get involved, u might even get a chance to actually play an ARG ! I think RGN might have a video on the same topic but i cant find it rn.
