It’s a shame that I always want to eat sweet stuff because there is often not that much sweet stuff I want in the house
#I do have Zbars which are great but since I have them as a snack in the morning it’s probably not a good idea to eat a bunch of them#I think there’s some old Rice Krispies but idk how good those are#Krafter Talks

Just by being a general consumer and keeping my ear to the streets, I average about 3 class action suits a year because corporations are horrible. This year's top 3 are:
⚖️Walmart selling me bad salmon
⚖️Hisense selling me a bad tv
⚖️Clif bar greenwashed too close to the sun, misleading consumer about sugar content in their kids Zbar
Errybody lying. Can't wait to see find out what fucked up things I purchased next year.

Day 6: April 21, 2024
Absolutely not doing okay because I got a reality check that my midterm is tomorrow...
Other than that, the day started off well. I got to tutor children, which I missed doing and haven't done in at least two years. After that, I got Panda Express (because I've been craving it), and then caught up/debriefed with a friend ^^. After that I came back to the dorm, and was supposed to study, but took a nap. I genuinely have never felt this tired in my life. I sent a couple of emails, joined a zoom meeting, and then started studying for my midterm. Everything's going in through one ear and then out the other, I'm a little concerned..
Anyways, I feel like I ate a lot of miscellaneous things like almonds, Zbar, etc.
I'm gonna rate today lowk like a 5.5/10, just because my first midterm's tomorrow, and I have not felt this unprepared in a hot minute. Bye. [9:27pm]

Image 1: Hot Wheels - This is a Hot Wheels toy cover where it shows their logo across the packaging with a big print of the car that is in the card. This text and design is meant to explain the car such as the model and which category it belongs in.
Image 2: Sports Card - This is a sports card. The card itself is very creative and appealing but there is also a design in which what is called “PSA Grading,” the top red part of the card. This is on cards that get graded.
Image 3: This was a sign that I saw for a restaurant while walking in Chicago. It is an advertisement and the logo and name itself are graphic design.
Image 4: This is a ZBar, which shows a visual with the flavor. Also, shows nutritional labels which is an aspect of design.
Image 5: Book Cover - This is a cover of the 48 Laws of Power. The colors go well together and you see the title is vertical showing text and letter placement.

How To Create The Perfect Smart QR Code Scanner For Your Business
Creating The Perfect Smart QR Code Scanner For Your Business Involves Several Important Steps. Here's A Guide To Help You Through The Process:
1. Define the Purpose:
Clearly identify the specific objectives and goals you want to achieve with your QR Code Scanner. Determine how it will enhance your business operations or customer experience. For example, you might want to use it for product information, loyalty programs, or easy payment options.
2. Research QR Code Standards:
Familiarize yourself with the different types of QR codes, such as static or dynamic codes, and the standards associated with them. Understand the encoding formats and data structures to ensure compatibility with various QR code scanners.
3. Select a Reliable QR Code Generator:
Choose a reputable QR code generator platform that offers customization options, analytics, and reliability. Consider factors such as ease of use, scalability, and the ability to generate dynamic QR codes that can be updated with new information without changing the code itself.
4. Optimize for Mobile Devices:
Ensure that your Smart QR code scanner is optimized for mobile devices, as they are the primary medium for scanning QR codes. Make sure it works seamlessly across different operating systems (e.g., iOS and Android) and screen sizes.
5. Build a User-Friendly Interface:
Design an intuitive and user-friendly interface for your QR code scanner app. Keep it simple and visually appealing, focusing on essential features such as scanning, decoding, and displaying relevant information. Include clear instructions or tooltips for first-time users.
6. Implement QR Code Scanning Functionality:
Integrate a reliable QR code scanning library or SDK (Software Development Kit) into your app. There are several popular libraries available, such as ZXing for Java, ZBar for C/C++, or the built-in AVFoundation framework for iOS.
7. Ensure Error Handling:
Incorporate error handling mechanisms to handle various scenarios, such as invalid or damaged QR codes, poor lighting conditions, or camera autofocus issues. Provide appropriate error messages or prompts to guide users in case of any problems.
8. Enable Data Parsing and Processing:
Develop algorithms or workflows to parse and process the data encoded within the QR codes. Extract the relevant information and perform the desired actions, such as displaying product details, initiating payments, or updating customer profiles.
9. Consider Security Measures:
Implement security measures to protect user data and ensure the QR code scanner is not vulnerable to malicious QR codes. Validate and sanitize input data, and encrypt sensitive information if necessary.
10. Test and Iterate:
Thoroughly test your Smart QR code scanner app across multiple devices and scenarios. Consider conducting beta testing with a group of users to gather feedback and identify any issues or areas for improvement. Continuously iterate and refine the app based on user feedback.
11. Monitor and Analyze:
Implement analytics to track and analyze the usage of your QR code scanner. Collect data on the number of scans, user demographics, and user behavior to gain insights into your customers' preferences and optimize your business strategies accordingly.
12. Promote and Educate:
Once your Smart QR code scanner is ready, promote it to your target audience. Educate your customers on the benefits and functionalities of the scanner through various marketing channels, such as social media, email newsletters, or in-store signage.
Conclusion:
Remember, creating the perfect Smart QR code scanner for your business is an iterative process. Continuously gather feedback, analyze data, and make improvements to ensure a seamless and effective user experience.

Thanks for the typo catches!
And yeah, that's a big part of it. Any real polynomial equation that has z as a solution will also have zbar, because z and zbar both look the same from the perspective of the real numbers.
This is why you might have heard in school that complex roots come in conjugate pairs. If 3+i is a root to a real-number-coefficients polynomial, then 3-i has to be as well.
And this isn't quite identical, but this sort of argument also tells you that z * zbar and z + zbar have to be real numbers. Because the conjugate of z * zbar is zbar * z, which is the same thing. The conjugate doesn't change it, so it must be real.
(Now in this piece we just did the computation and saw it had to be a real number, but this is a theoretical argument for why. It's really important in the general study of Galois theory, which I might write and addendum on.)
I have a new post up on my blog, continuing the Fictional History of Numbers series. In part 1 we built on the natural numbers using algebraic operations, and got the algebraic numbers. In part 2 and part 3 we used geometric and analytic arguments to build up the real numbers.
These two sets of numbers overlap, but aren't the same; there are real numbers that aren't algebraic (as we saw in part 3) but also algebraic numbers that aren't real. So what happens if we combine the two? We get the complex numbers, which are complete and also algebraically closed. But proving this is a little tricky, and touches on the deep strangeness of complex analysis.
And in the process of adding algebraic closure to the real numbers, we lose the ability to order them, which has its own consequences.
