My tav in que / custom BG character Zarja

My back story for her is she didn't make the cut as it were at her creche as a kid and was about to be offed for not being strong enough. Zarja got lucky and was able to run away, which just labeled her as a coward. She has had to beg/borrow/steal/cheat/ lie to survive since she can't go back to the Gith in case they learn the truth, and pretty much everyone hates Gith wherever she goes. She is able to get by as a performer and an actor, wearing either makeup or absurd clothes to dimension how Gith she looks, and uses various stage names. Lot of time she'll steal from the patrons that don't give to well. Zarja is a selfish person after the life she has lived. When she gets taken by the Mindflayers she is about to leave Baldur's Gate fearing she overstayed her "welcome."

When Zarja meets up with Lae'zel , a small part of her hopes that vlaakith has sent her as a chance to redeem herself. She hides from Lae'zel her past, claiming to be on a secret mission from her Creche. Zarja has some guilt thinking that perhaps Lae-zel wouldn't be in this mess if it wasn't for her. She also starts having Doubts when Lae'zel is not treated right despite being the best of the Gith.

Timur was trying to get his bearings and understand where he was, and what had landed him there. The sound of Zarja's voice, and the sight of her, confused him for a moment. That was, until she mentioned that he had been in a crash. Everything came rushing back, and Timur groaned as the flashing memories slammed into him causing a sudden spiking headache. He could feel her easing back off of his hospital bed, and his eyes fell on her in that moment. It was strange how a near death experience could make you miss out on things, and realize the mistakes that you made in your life. In only a split second, all his time with her had flashed behind his eyes, knowing there was nothing he could do to stop what was about to happen before the collusion.

"I'm sorry, Zarja. I'm so sorry that you had to get that call, and that I was so careless that I didn't even think to change that information. It was unfair to you." He couldn't even begin to imagine what it must have felt like for her to receive that call, and place all the worry of his wellbeing on her. Timur wasn't sorry that he got a chance to see her, however. "You don't have to go, if you don't want to, but you also don't have to stay if you don't want to. I know... it's probably really awkward for you to be here with me after everything..." After he had been the one to end their relationship and likely break her heart.

Curious how many kids does Azif have exactly? I don't think I've seen it mentioned before ^^

unofficially the limit does not exist. the temple she's part of has an orphanage (this is where she herself grew up) so she and her husband have fostered many children.

but officially she has four kids (so far*), they are: 1. zuriel (tiefling, redemption paladin) 2. oberon (half orc, zealot barbarian) 3. zarja (tiefling, wildfire druid) 4. to be named aasimar boy. no class, he's still just a baby at this point!

she's like, a guardian type of character that welcomes you wherever you arrived and gives you a tutorial on the battle system and lets you know where you should go to reach your goal

There had been many times in which Timur hadn't been sure of where he wanted his life to go, or what he wanted to do. This had also effected Zarja. He'd broken up with her, left her hurt, all because he didn't know where he wanted to take his life. Not because he didn't love her, because he did. Then life decided to take an unpredictable turn with his accident. By some lucky oversight of his own, she had been there when he needed her the most. Did he deserve her? No. But he had her, and he was beyond grateful for it. He had never felt more grateful for having made a mistake than he did in that moment.

Since then, he had begun believing that fate had brought the two of them back together to rectify the mistake he'd questioned time and again after he'd made it. Letting her go, even if he'd done it in an attempt to give her a better life, he'd regretted that since he'd done it. There was no person who could have compared to her, no matter how they tried. Timur had made plenty of mistakes, and would continue to make more, but letting her go again? That was not going to be one of them. He'd learned from the first time, and he had every intention of seeing things through this time around. People were not often granted second chances, but he had been.

Looking at Zarja as they sat in companionable silence, his fingers playing with her long strands of hair as his gaze lazily ran over every feature of her face. "I think I want to marry you..." he muttered softly, "No... I know that I do. I think we should. Now. I don't see why we even need to wait, we should just do it. I know that nobody else will ever mean to me what you do."

This was how they found themselves in front of the Justice of the Peace. Reciting vows, and making promises to one another. Timur had never been so grateful for the fact that he had plenty of money to throw at things like an engagement ring, and wedding bands at the last minute. He didn't need anything fancy. His family would understand, Timur never did anything the traditional way. They would simply be glad that he found someone that he wanted for the rest of his life.

At the end of it all, his hands framed her face, a smile on his own as he kissed her lovingly. "My beautiful wife. You saved me. Now let me spoil you forever."

in casual brainrot for my ocs; the year is 988, Volodymyr I Sviatoslavych, the Great, Prince of Novgorod, Grand Prince of Kiev, and ruler of Kievan Rus' has just married Anna Porphyrogenita the sister of Basil II, emperor of East Rome.

Zarja, the personification of Kievan-Rus' is meeting Eurus, the personfication of East Rome--and her new husband--for the first time. She's really nervous about the whole thing, or, she was, except for now her technically-distant-cousins-but-by-this-point-surrogate-mom-and-brothers are tagging along and she's more annoyed bc they're all super embarrassing.

Harald, Björn, and Sigurd keep making half empty dumb threats about what they'll do to Eurus if he's not a decent guy. And Astrid (Scandia) is casually trying to reign in all three boys, while also being like, "y'know Zarja there's a conversation i've been putting off-" "oh my goSH NO STOP" "YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED WE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT IT"

Eurus, Heracles, and Niko are watching this all go down, not understanding a word of the mix of Norse and Old East Slavic. While Heracles and Niko are also laughing looking at Eurus and being like "HA good fucking luck" before being reminded she's their sister-in-law now too.

This is such a fun family i need to write about them more.
