“You’re skipping school Zach. Do you have a girlfriend?” Matt asks his son as he looks at him through the rearview mirror. Zach looked up at him with large widened eyes before glaring at him.

“W-What no,” Zach says and Matt softened slightly, but Zach could see the judgment in his father's eyes along with maybe some sadness. Just like everyone else who knew him, and knew what happened.

“Of course he does. Her name is Mila.” Emily says almost like she was singing. 

“Shut up Em, just shut up.” He says through gritted teeth. The car went silent and Zach turned his body away and scrolled on his phone. A photo from his memories of a year ago popped up as a notification. His eyes flicker to the small square of the picture and his heart clenched. 

“You shouldn’t yell at her.” A sweet familiar voice says next to him and his head whipped around. “She’s just being a little sibling. Oh and on the topic of little siblings, how's my little brother?”

Zach tuned out everyone and everyone, all he could focus on was your beautiful face. You sat there between him and his sister, seatbelt secured around you, and the sun shining behind you.

You looked like an angel.

“Y/n I- I missed you.” 

“Do you? Because it looks like you’re moving on from me quickly.” You peered over to his phone to see a picture of a girl on his lock screen. Zach’s eyes widened and unlocked his phone and went to the settings to change the wallpaper. 

“S-She changed it, m’sorry.” He frantically started going through his albums of pictures… pictures of you. Suddenly his face was grabbed gently by you. The warmth of your hand was so comforting he melted into it. 

“It’s okay Zach, it’s been almost a year.” 

“No, it's not baby, I don’t know what I was thinking.” He was rambling so you pressed a gentle kiss to his lips. 

“I missed you too.” Tears ran out of his brown eyes and down his cheeks. You looked at his neck, at the orange headphones making you smile. “I'm glad you took my headphones, keeping them nice a safe.” 

“He’s forgetting you,” Zach says and you frown.

“I know, he’s still so young and I can only watch over him. Please don’t forget me, Zach.” You say and dig your face into the crook of his neck. He closed his eyes and dug his face into your hair, taking in your smell.

“Never.” 

“Zach.”

“Zach!”

“ZACH!” 

Zach blinked and he was back in reality. The car was stopped and pulled over to the side of the road. His father was grabbing him by his shoulders and Emily was looking at him in shock. 

“What-What?.” He looked around, searching for you. “Y/n? Where? She was just here. WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!” He practically screamed at Matt. 

“Son do not yell. Did you take your meds, have you been taking them at all?” Zach wiped his glossy eyes and looked down at his now-changed lock screen.

“N-No.” His breathing started to pick up and he clutched his chest. 

“Breath Zach.” Emily placed a hand on her brother’s arm. 

“How many times have we told you that taking your medication is important?” Matt said before sighing and taking in his son’s state. 

He was sobbing at this point, snot and tears down his face.

“I-I just wanted to see her again.”

you had just transferred to a new school. your parents had gotten a good job opportunity, but it was far from your home. so, your parents decided to move. although you were disappointed, you were looking forward to meeting new people.

“y/n, get up for school! y’need to be early today!” your mother yelled from the kitchen. the sunlight shone through your windows and curtains and painted your room as you groggily got up. the clock on your wall read “6:32”, and you threw your comforter off of you. “k mom, ‘m getting up,” you grumbled, getting off your oh-so-cozy bed and making it too. “you packed your bag, right?” she asked from the kitchen while probably cooking something. you trudged down the stairs and was immediately greeted by the fresh aroma of pancakes. mumbling a quick “mhm”, you made your way to the bathroom and did your usual morning routine. brushing teeth, washing your face, doing your hair, quick skincare, and changing into a simple shirt and sweatpants.

you had just finished your mother’s heavenly pancakes, and you wanted more. but then again, you had school. reluctantly, you picked up your bag as your mother gave you a gentle peck on the head. “enjoy your first day, hon.” she smiled, giving your shoulder a gentle squeeze. “bye mom, i’ll cya later. love you!” you smiled as well, hugging your mother tightly before letting go and leaving.

upon reaching the school, you looked around. it was pretty bustling considering it was 7am while school started at 7:30. just then, a bubbly and energetic girl, about the same age as you, approached you with a big smile on her face. “heya! you’re y/n l/n, right?” with a bit of shock, you nodded frantically. “nice to meet you y/n! i’m your esteemed tour guide for today,” she added, still smiling widely. “ah- thanks!” you chuckled, nervously fiddling with your shirt.

“and that’s the school. mainly. the other rooms aren’t really important. but if you want to know, i’m always here. by the way, i think we have a class together.” the girl said. ah, first friend here. “so we’re friends now?” you laughed. “yep!” she chuckled, wrapping an arm around you. “alright, better get to class now.”

when walking into the class, you noticed it was half full. “so i usually sit there,” y/f/n pointed to the table, as she approached it and sat down in the chair. you sat down beside her, not seeing the empty table beside you. “oh, by the way, i haven’t told you that he s—“ she stopped herself from saying more. wait, what? who is ‘he’? you turned around to look behind you since she also was, and you saw a guy with brown hair, chocolate brown eyes and headphones around his neck. he was wearing a light teal t-shirt with a turquoise hoodie, and sweatpants with white shoes. kind of average to be honest. however, he had a nice build — rather lean and was at least 6’0”. he was chatting with a friend when he spotted you. “yo, zach, i think there’s a new girl.” his friend said not so discreetly, gesturing at you. you think?! you thought to yourself, rolling your eyes slightly. zach said something you couldn’t hear, and his friend laughed and agreed.

“miss y/n, could you come to the front of the class and give an introduction?” the teacher asked when she reached the desk. you didn’t want to, but of course, you had to. “uh, i’m y/n l/n and i moved here recently. i’m 16 years old and- yeah i don’t think there’s anything more.” you said after going to the front of the class. “alright, thank you.”

as you were focusing on the teacher droning on about physics, a note was slipped onto your desk; from zach. you noticed he had a small grin on his face. what could he be up to?

Sky High x The Owl House AU

Will Stronghold - Healing Coven. Despite his father being a multi-track student and became one of the most powerful wizards of all, he just wants to get by doing one track.

Layla Williams - Plant track. She wanted to be in the same coven as Will, but her love of plants guided her to the plant coven, but she still helps Will with his homework and stuff.

Zach Braun - Potions track. He loves to experiment with new things, especially with potions. Always trying to make new potions to impress Magenta. One time, he drank one and ended up with a bioluminescent ability.

Magenta Lewis - Abomination track. She originally wanted to be in the beast keeping track, but she thought the abomination track students had more fun. She has a pet guinea pig, that she makes Ethan watch while she's in class.

Ethan Bank - Beast keeping track. Originally wanted to be in the potions track, but he wanted to learn how to watch over Magenta's pet guinea pig without getting killed. While he's terrified of wild beasts, he doesn't want to disappoint his friend.

Warren Peace - Bard coven. Massive anger issues, his only escapism is his ukulele. He secretly studies wild magic to control his fire powers, but his control mostly lies in music. He also wants to get revenge on Will, because his father was working for the emperor and lost to Will's father, and was sentenced to life in prison.

Ron Wilson, Bus Driver did say Sky High is protected from ANYONE who might have nefarious purposes, unless you count being acquaintances with Loki(Tom Hidddleston version), having a villain fight be a FAKE, and having a faculty member being a double agent working for the bad guys.

Sky High MIGHT be a spaceship(Hence why everything gets fixed within ten seconds) it's technology is SO powerful, not even a techno path can infiltrate it.

Warren Peace x Reader: Interest

Word Count: 766 Warnings/Notes: Slightly confused Reader, mention of growing embarrassment (brief), friends asking a lot of questions, implied crush on Warren Peace. Cute moment with Warren. Summary: The Reader is a little late to lunch, but just before they make it to their table of friends, another student asks them out. How will the group of friends react to the news?

  It was not usual for you to be a little late to lunch. Sure, it was only by a few minutes, but you were hungry.   With your lunch finally in your grasp, you made your way around the tables already occupied by the normal chatter of other students. Normal may not have been the best word choice for minors with super human abilities, but it was for you. Most days.   You caught Layla’s attention as you neared the table. Her friendly smile, however, was lost to you as your view became obstructed.   Halting with a piercing squeak of your shoe, you waited in confusion.   “Hey,” he said. A student that you recognized from a few of your classes stood in front of you.   “Hi,” you gave a small smile in acknowledgement.   He took a moment’s breath and scratched the back of his head. “Um…”   “Is everything okay?”   “Do you want to go out with me?”   Your eyebrows shot up. “What? I-I mean, no. No, thank you.”   A strange mixture of emotions bubbled around and you made a mad dash around him before the heat of embarrassment from a few fumble of words spread. With long quick strides, you finally made it to the lunch table.

  Is being a teenager always like this? Why were emotions so complicated some times?   “What was that about?” Layla asked, bringing you out of your thoughts.   Setting down your food, you took a deep calming breath and sat down beside Warren. “Oh, um, he asked me out.”   A page crinkled to your right, but your friends were otherwise quiet.   Layla leaned forward, her pigtails swaying slightly over her green salad. “And?”   “And I said no.” Confident. Self-assured with your decision, though seemingly small in comparison to other more pressing issues, felt good. And why shouldn’t you?   “Good for you,” Magenta nodded in agreement.   “But why?” Zach asked, his nose scrunching in his bewilderment. “Do you not like him or something?”   “It’s not that simple,” you said between bites of your food.   “And why not?” He pressed, making you laugh a little.   Patting a napkin over your mouth, you sighed quietly. “Well, firstly, I’m not going to go out or date someone that I don’t like, or not interested in. Heck, I’ve barely talked with him.”   Layla and Magenta nodded slowly. “Sounds reasonable enough.”   “Any other reason?” Will asked, peering over Warren’s hunched form.   You laughed, “What, you want a detailed list or something?”   “That sounds a bit excessive,” Warren smiled into his book.   “Unless the list is for myself, out of curiosity and to better understand my own reasons and stuff.”   “And what would you put on the list for that guy?” Ethan asked, pulling your attention away from Warren.   It was nearing on hilarious by how invested they were about such a short conversation. If it could even be considered a conversation.   “For one thing, he never returned the pen he borrowed from me, and I saw him break it while fiddling with it. So, there’s that.”   Will burst out in laughter. “Is that why you don’t want to date him? Because—”   “No,” you stopped him. “I just don’t like him. Especially in that way. If I’m not friends with, or just can’t even imagine myself holding his or anyone’s hand, then I’m not going out with them.”   “Oh,” Will looked down, “sorry.”   “No biggie,” you smiled reassuringly, before returning to what remained of the food in front of you.

  Curious concerning friends. You were grateful for that. They each showed it in their own ways. And as invested as they had become, you were relieved that neither one of them had asked one question in particular. Who are you interested in?   Your eyes drifted from your lunch to the inky text in front of Warren. “Good book?”   Glancing over at you with a smile, his voice was soft, warm. “Yeah. It’s the third in the series.”   “Cool.”   As your eyes both pulled away from each other, you caught movement from under the table. The motion was slow and short. Had you been deeply involved with something else, you might have missed it entirely. Warren had lightly bumped your knee with his.   Could you ever decipher if he was flirting with you or just being a delightful silly friend with gestures like those? You were not sure. But one day you would know, and you hoped that it was both. Why not?   Smiling to yourself, you nudged your knee to his twice. Though as you retracted, his knee met yours again and remained there.   This should be interesting.
