Much to Garret's surprise, famous shock jock Anthony Cumia makes a special appearance on #powefulGSP from his *PROBABLE* death bed. Also, since its been eight months since he's been on, Zach Elmblad and Garret do a sort of pseudo-end of the year review, going over their respective trips to the Netherlands and New York, discuss their most recent podcast collaboration, THE CHEESEBURGER BLUES: AN EXPLORATION INTO DAD BLUES ROCK, and finally, after years of Garret pilling him with gay space socialist propaganda, Zach concludes that America does, indeed, SUCK!

On the first episode of this seasonal podcast, Garret and Zach go into their respective histories with Blues music, explain the premise and ethos of the show, and describe what "Dad Blues Rock" is.

In their first formal review, Garret and Zach tackle Hank Williams Jr.'s 2022 boisterous-- and horny-- album, "RICH WHITE HONKY BLUES", and ask the important question: IS THIS DAD BLUES ROCK?!

In this MEGA AWESOME, NEARLY 3-HOUR RETROSPECTIVE EPISODE THAT WILL NEVER BE REPEATED (and I cannot emphasize that last part enough), Garret and Zach dive into the world of The Blues Brothers, where they go over the history of the duo, review their two studio albums, “BRIEFCASE FULL OF BLUES” and “MADE IN AMERICA”, and have to ultimately decided if Aykroyd and Belushi are, indeed, THE progenitors of Dad Blues Rock.

Oh, and Garret, being the lore nerd that he is, puts together a fictional Blues Brothers timeline!

It has finally come to this: Garret and Zach review Steven Seagal's 2006 Dad Blues Rock masterpiece, "MOJO PRIEST". They marvel at Seagal’s unchanging, monotone delivery, cringe at the intrusive back up singers, are amazed at how Steven Sensei’s lyrics could make up the plot of an actual direct-to-video Seagal movie, and wonder how he could screw up a collab with the legendary BO DIDDLEY.

Because it has "....Sing The Blues" in the title, Garret and Zach must endure the nightmare that is "THE SIMPSONS SING THE BLUES". But our dynamic duo realizes something BIG during the review, which leads to them asking: can this album TRULY be classified as Dad Blues Rock? Or even a Blues album at all? Find out!
