Happy Birthday~☆

It was difficult to plan a surprise when the girls were so busy and all living together, but Luda made sure to plan something small at the very least. So on the morning of her birthday, once Yena wakes up, she’ll be greeted by a cutely wrapped gift in front of her bed, but to the side, so no one would stumble over it. Upon closer inspection, she’ll see that it’s got a tag that’s clearly labelled “Yena” in neat handwriting dangling from it. Inside, she will find a red snoopy pyjama and a hint to go to the kitchen soon. 

In the kitchen, she’ll find Luda grinning at her, a plate with birthday muffins and five candles in front of her, just waiting to be devoured by the birthday girl. She may noice that Luda’s wearing pyjamas in blue, very much matching those she’d just found beside her bed. She’s greeted by a cheerful “happy birthday!”, though she won’t find herself crushed by a hug until she’s properly woken up.

Waking up in the dorm on her birthday was both weird and exciting. She didn’t expect them to do anything big for her. As she rises longer after her roommates seem to be up, the ex-streamer still somehow managed to almost stumble over her present even if Luda had put it so neatly to the side. Blinking her eyes, cleary disorientated, it takes her a moment to register what it is along with who had gifted it to her.

She’d really have to get used to people calling her Yena-

As she pats into the kitchen, pyjama hugged to her chest and eyes wide like a kid on christmas, she can’t help but smile widely as a surge of warmth spreads through her chest. It may not seem much to people, especially considering Yuzu could afford ten times the amount of muffins but the heart felt gesture along with the soft smile are enough to make her consider this one of the best gifts over.

a small package is sent to the girl’s dorms, a little handwritten note attached to it that read ‘choi yena’ in large characters. turn it over and one would find a short but sweet birthday message from kaeun: hey there little one, happy birthday! got you a little something that would fit what we were up to lately. next time when you’re free, let’s grab food instead. unnie’s treat! have a great birthday, little one. 

inside the package is a little stardew valley-inspired mug, something to commemorate their gaming adventures that they’ve been venturing on lately.

yuzu hadn’t expected anyone to really send her anything to the dorm. when her friends asked she had told them it was likely safer to send it to the company or leave it with her cousin. the fact people even wanted to gift her surprised her each year over and over again. 

so when she came back home to a package waiting for her to be opened, the ex-streamer can’t help but grin in excitement, features softening as soon as she sees from who the package came. the mug itself is adorable as well and she’d can’t help but hug it to her chest.

she’d have to be sure to send kaeun a message later for sure!

chaewon wasn’t sure if asking for yuzu’s new address was allowed, or if she could even really come over – so she sent her birthday present to the sphere building.

inside the pink wrapping paper was a carefully folded set of animal crossing bed clothes. within that, was a polaroid picture of chaewon and yuzu, taken back when they were both still in 6tunes. yuzu behind the drums, and chaewon standing next to her, holding up a peace sign. at the bottom of the photo, it reads, in chaewon’s neat handwriting: thank you. that’s all her birthday message says. chaewon’s never been much of one for words, anyways.

in a way it sucked that she wasn’t sure if she could even go out and properly celebrate her birthday now that she had been revealed as an official member. meeting her old friends and gathering them up for a few drinks seemed like something she’d taken for granted unfortunately. 

but she also hadn’t expect any of them to go out of their way like chaewon did. 

she hadn’t expected to receive any presents the moment she stepped foot into the sphere building but with one of the staff members approaching her with a large bag of gifts, she couldn’t help but let her eyes widen. the largest one she noticed was one wrapped in pink paper and already left her with an eerie feeling of familiarity. it wasn’t until she had the whole gift unwrapped that she found herself with a nostalgic smile on her lips. the moment she had the chance, she reached for her phone, placed the polaroid inside her transparent case and typed up a message.
