Oh man what do i even say. My take on them is something like... Yurie grew up in the choir orphanage, she had an extensive and frankly alarming thirst for knowledge, combined with the way the orphanage was ran, that made her very competitive and always pushed her to try and stand above the rest, joining the choir itself at a fairly young age. She's fairly loyal to it but above everything shes driven by ambition and knowledge which she will do anything to attain. In that desire she was always seeking more and more to absorb and learn from, especially all that was kept away from her; the choir's preachings only went so far, they had their secrecy that they liked to keep and that she liked to pry into. She was particularly attracted to forbidden and purposefully hidden knowledge. Fauxsefka on the other hand is a cainhurst descendant (way more distant than arianna but still of relevant enough bloodline that the summons had been passed down as a family heirloom of their lost homeland) so she already was more than familiar with all thats kept out of sight by the church. She grew up and was taught alongside her twin (iosefka), brilliant children raised to join the healing church. As they eventually climbed the ranks, her sister became a doctor and fauxsefka joined the choir, much more interested in the experimental side of the church's sciences. Shes fascinated with the idea of human ascension, most choir members are but she is to a worrying extent and will stop at nothing in her research which is pretty obvious. I think what separates her from most of the choir and especially yurie is that she has no interest in theory, only practice and tangible results. So obviously given that the current state of the choir's research is too stagnant for her tastes, she must go through the forbidden and unethical to attain her goals, which is what brought her and yurie to really talk at all. I think theyre both, not necessarily shunned, but most people dont like them very much lol fauxsefka is outwardly dangerous and pretty open about how morally bankrupt she is (even to the choir's standards which is a pretty high bar to cross) whereas yurie is more generally a loner with an unhealthy obsession with nothing but knowledge. Which makes it much easier for them to run into each other obviously but in general they end up slotting into each others needs really well, yurie provides fauxsefka with the knowledge she requires for her research that would otherwise be kept away, and in turn yurie learns from her practices everything that is considered too taboo to even write about. Theyre completely enabling each other all the time because the more they push each other to pursue their ambitions the more they also grow. Theyre also both deeply messed up individuals in mirrored ways theyre just constant parallels.

I think about yusefka a normal amount <3. I can't lie, maria/adeline isnt my number one anymore for deeply embarrassing reasons 💔 (when oc/canon overtakes you...). But i adore them still. Im also very partial to karla/irina, dmkdolin, priscilla/dunnel and adella/good hunter. Theres probably more i appreciate but i rarely think about them
