a cutie mark is a thing from the show My Little Pony. it is a symbol that appears on ponies when they find their lives true calling. this typically happens when they are young but for some may take longer. there is actually a stigma around being a “Blank Flank” for too long, which is the name for a pony that doesnt have a cutie mark yet.

There are three types of ponies in MLP, Earth ponies, which are regular horses. Pegasus, which have wings. and Unicorns, which have horns and can wield magic.

even though only unicorns can wield magic, all types of pony contain magic. its theorized that pegasus can only fly because of magic, and that earth ponies are stronger due to magic, but this isnt really confirmed in the show. additionally, there is another kind of pony, an Alicorn. they contain the magic of all three types and are extremely rare and very powerful. Alicorns are created, and only one has been born in recorded history.

Hey crew, just wanted to give a little context on a bug before reset; we are well aware that the Traveling Spirit isn't showing up in Aviary--no, Timid Bookworm isn't agoraphobic (although that would be pretty on-brand. ) The simple truth is that there is a LOT going on in Aviary; we are pushing the bounds of how many spirits we can have 'loaded into memory' in a single area, and ironically that led to the Traveling Spirit being "pushed out of the queue," so to speak. As Sky continues to evolve as a very-cross-platform game, we have been leaning more and more on fancy "recycling systems" which allow us to juggle game resources in busy areas. This lets our designers pour lots of content in a single area while still allowing the game to perform well on lower-end hardware. Unfortunately we managed to hit a maximum memory limit for spirits in Aviary juuust as we pushed the last patch, and the poor Traveling Spirit was sacrificed by the game engine to ensure the game didn't crash. 🔥We fixed the spirit prioritization issue as soon as we found the bug, but it was a smidge too late for the patch cutoff time. 😔

We thank you for your sacrifice, Timid Bookworm 🙏 Don't worry, you can still find the Traveling Spirit safe and sound in Home, where the game engine hasn't hit the same limit. You can find the meditation circle to Home near Aviary's entrance. ✌

(Also I find it funny that we have a bug with Timid Bookworm… wait, are worms 'bugs'? I'm an engineer, not an entomologist… 😌 help)

X X X BUT funfact, important fact, you must sit down and listen. The idea that female mantis ALWAYS cannibalize their mate is wrong, or at the very least greatly exaggerated. It is not something that happens a lot of the time or even a majority of the time. They are more likely to do so if they are hungry and/or stressed out. In nature it (probably) happens a lot less. Here's snopes article but there's a lot more stuff if you just google about it.

Unlike its relatives, it is primarily insectivorous and consumes termites instead of larger animals, the flesh of which the aardwolf actually dislikes! When it is threatened or excited, the long hairs on its back and tail will raise, making the aardwolf seem larger than it really is in order to scare potential threats!
