“Master Yuliya… I don’t know what I can say about her, but she has a pleasant voice.”

• A reasonable person. Maybe it’s because Yuliya is a fellow “outcasted” Ramshackle resident, or if it’s her earnest nature, but Cloche feels a little more at ease by her side. Because of this, Cloche’s polite pleasantries and would come across as a little more genuine, than an obligation due to Yuliya’s older age.

• Please don’t mistake Cloche’s lack of reaction as apathy! She’ll silently play a game of cards with Yuliya for as long as she wants… though Yuliya might have to teach her some of the classics. Though she’s not too well versed in card games, Cloche may reveal a more competitive side if challenged in a game of ‘Egyptian Rat Screw’. After all, the best cat catches the mice, right?

• Cloche doesn’t get the hype of cheering, but can acknowledge the skills and effort put into it. Encouragements feel much more rewarding in small doses. Whenever a Magift game gets too rowdy and the roars of the crowds overwhelm her, she’ll happily tune into Yuliya’s cheers.

• Since finding out about the Yuliya and Ondina swapping from their conversation ‘Binding Bells’ picked up on, Cloche is only encouraged to be on her best behaviour around Yuliya or… “Yuliya”. But wait— What happens if she addresses the wrong master by the wrong name? An instant shock from one of the bells! From then on, Cloche would just call them both “Master Ondina”, which seems to be a viable loophole around the curse’ conditions.

“You have the freedom the refuse the chores pushed on to you but you didn’t… Why is that, Master Yuliya?”

“If I must come up with something… I suppose Master Orion isn’t a threat?”

• What is someone shining this brightly, like a star, doing in Night Raven College— let alone Ignihyde?! Cloche was skeptical of Orion’s courtesy upon meeting him, but is relieved to find out he’s just like that. Cloche can admire Orion’s pacifism, but a part of her finds the hopeful thoughts to attain peace a little suffocating. Overall, Cloche doesn’t mind running into him from time to time in Ignihyde.

• Please don’t chide her for something she can’t help! Cloche usually keeps her cat-instincts in check, key word: usually. When Cloche is distracted and the animalistic side of her slips out, Cloche would attempt to “paw” (swipe) at Orion’s hair, or just stay still to stare blankly into his eyes with dilated pupils. The way they glow is mesmerizing, like little flickering laser LEDs.

• Family lore. With the little tidbits of what Cloche has been told by Orion, and overheard from ‘Binding Bells’, she learned not to be surprised of who was one of his descendants. (One more person to try to win the “blessings” of.) Cloche finds it intriguing, and would like to know more. To her, it felt like some sort of legendary lineage you’d read in a fantasy novel.

• As a fellow creative, Cloche can appreciate the sonnets and poems Orion would write. …Reading them, she may or may not be studying his cursive. His nicer handwriting seems fairly straightforward but his rushed one? That’s a tough nut to crack.

The very first thing gotten into my mind is Aiden would have such a huge crush on her... a sheep, looking soft and gentle... not like she could stab him in the bag... however he does keep his distance from people so his buddy Media will help him get his feelings across. He is a loner and got hurt a lot.. I feel she could heal his heart and in turn he could hold her close and protect her.

As for Tea parties, Louis gladly assist her and could be a great friend to her. He may be angered easy but I feel with her he has no reason to be and would do his best to assist her.

I am sorry but meanwhile Dorothy might bully her... in good news she is not at the same school but she might get annoyed at how pretty and soft she looks... she aint gonna let that stand when Erica come to HSA but in good news... this is again where Aiden can step in and protect her.

Out of NRC people... Eve and Odel possibly would really like her too and are good people to interact with more shy people.

Also given the last ask with Yuliya I didn't offer a Ship like for Luca I did with Leroy and here I did Erica and Aiden so... how about Kumo or Louis... they could be interesting with her

Fire Emblem Mystery of the Emblem Book 2 and Overall Game Thoughts

-A delightful finale, all things considered. Worked to get the perfect ending, and I think the records, CGs, and chronicle are great rewards for all that work.

-If I had to describe Book 2's maps on a graph, it'd look like a mountain. Really had a rough beginning with chapters 2 through 4 not being fun for me. There was also a drawn out endgame, with the Dark Emperor chapter probably being my least favorite in the entire game. Even chapter 3's Walk of Nothing was more bearable than choking the spaces near Hardin's location, for 5 waves of reinforcements. It picked up for Wyvern's Dale, but then the three Dragon's Table maps weren't really that noteworthy, though I did have mostly capped stats for my team so maybe I made things easy for myself (stat booster secret shop is nuts).

-But holy hell, do I like the mid-game a lot. Starting with Chiasmir Bridge, the game really shined, especially during the Anri's Way arc. Idk if that's an unpopular opinion, but working a strategy around the dragon enemies was pretty fun for me. Passing around the astral shards was surprisingly enjoyable too, even if I had to have a chart on hand showing me which growths were improved. Getting to max out my favs was delightful.

-My team was probably pretty standard? I knew Julian, Minerva, Merric and Sirius were required to get the best ending, so they were a lock. The rest were Caeda (personal bias), Tiki, Linde (early game bishop go craaaaaazy), Jeorge (he already had Parthia access so why not), Ogma, Navarre, Phina, Sheena (someone had to use the Gradivus for the endgame), Marisha and Yuliya.

The last two were definitely unexpected key members of the team, for all the utility staves they could use. Eventually I stuck Nosferatu on them and had them switch off the starsphere, and the rest is buff cleric history.

-Mechanically, Book 2 hit both extremes on the good and bad compared to Book 1. Knowing how this game works at its core helped a lot, what with things like inventory management, stat calculations, and even the movement range not showing the attack squares yet.

However, more often than in Book 1 did I find myself disliking the rougher parts, such as the deployment slot issue, ambush spawns, and even the command menu at times. Seriously, putting 'Wait' near the top was a bonkers choice.

Overall though, it wasn't enough to deter my enjoyment of the game. I think FE3 as a whole is probably the definitive "old game" experience, where you can go back an experience a classic that still isn't archaic enough to be a confusing slog. (This game is the one that introduced hidden treasure though, please never bring that mechanic back, or at least not in desert maps, i don't like crawling around with a 3 space thief ;-;)

-Story went nuts compared to Book 1, like there's sooooo much more dialogue and text. I appreciate it though, I think Mystery has a very sophisticated and well crafted story, with a tone that's darker compared to other SNES nintendo games, yet manages to maintain hopeful and heroic moments.

-My personal story highlights include:

Jagen being a present, well written advisor and having a small arc of believing in Marth's capabilities.

Lang being an absolute bastard, which is an example that more early game bosses should follow I feel since it's all the more satisfying to knock him down a peg.

As I mentioned a couple days ago, I like the way the lore is delivered in this game because contextually it makes sense to pad the time of a harrowing, isolated journey with some story time;

The story of the dragons/manaketes is one that is the pinnacle of what good morally grey FE storytelling is. There isn't excusing what Medeus and his allies did, but it gives an understandable example of what not to repeat. Not for the sake of making the bad guys not seem bad anymore, but for endearing us to the people originally from that side that are now working for us. It sucks that the dragons got treated horrendously by humans, but that doesn't mean it's okay for Medeus to strike back by attempting to conquer humanity. It does, however, make perfect, justifiable sense for Gotoh and Xane to keep distance from humans (and for the latter to straight up say he hates them), because they know what it's like to be taken advantage of-yet they never try to take revenge.

Big ups for the writing unrepetantly noting Gotoh as a big asshole when it came to Tiki's situation, it's another layer of questionable actions for a greater good that really make him an entertaining divine figure.

Marth being himself will never fail to make me smile, he's just really good and genuine, that it hardly ever takes me out of the story when he's praised.

-That said, a couple low-lights are 1) all territories being ceded to Marth at the end, I just find it a bit hard to swallow, even after all he did for the continent. And 2) this game kind of started the whole trend of "women being relegated to the backseat" in FE that comes back every now and then. Sheena, Minerva and Nyna all just give up their lands, the former two becoming everyday people and the latter flat out disappearing? I can't describe it with any word other than odd. Nyna especially, I think she was given a really rotten deal and a payoff that's pretty sour. It makes some sense for the kind of character she is, but I still wanted better for her.

Also, I think the only women (who isn't a child like Tiki, Maria and Yuliya) in the game to have an ending or character that wasn't romantically tied to a man in some way were Minerva and Cecil, the latter having no lines. Maybe Linde as well? The rest are definitely not passing the Bechdel Test I don't think lol.

-Overall, a very satisfying experience, I'm very glad I played it. I don't forsee myself going back to it anytime soon, or over other FE games, but if you haven't played FE3 before, I'd say it's worth it.

Next on the list for me is replaying Sacred Stones, yay~

➜ Yuuta tends to hang around Yves the most. Mostly because Yves doesn't really like being alone, and surprisingly enough, Yuuta makes for good company.

↳ He's a horrible influence, though. Someone should probably tell Yves that-

➜ He never talks about his life before coming to Twisted Wonderland with anyone, and that includes the trio. They all simply learned to accept it and do their best to respect Yuuta's boundaries in their own way.

➜ Yuustin tends to use Yuuta's ‘Spirit shutter’ more than Yuuta himself does, so he just kinda gives it to Yuustin when he doesn't know what to do with it. (This happens more often than you think)

➜ Other than Yves, Yuuta spends the most time with Yuliya. He's not good at… Well, not being an ass, but he does his best in trying to assure Yuliya she doesn't have to pretend to be someone she's not around him.

➜ He's not trusting any of them with the Midas Roscoes. Nope. Never. Absolutely not. No chance of that ever happening. One simple brush against the golden guns of Sumeragi Yuuta could give you the silent treatment from that guy for God knows how long.

I feel there's a number of interesting character left in New Mystery if you want to hear? At the very least, there a number of non "in case your regular units died filler" characters not in FEH.

Kind of, but I wouldn't call most of them very interesting. For female characters it's just down to those four I named before, and there's no way IS would release an FE12 banner without at least one of them. Even the Coyote's Men banner, one of the most male-dominated male banners ever, had Malice randomly thrown in as well as a Heroes OC (ascended Fjorm).

i think it's because they are, most of them at least, holding aspects that i can relate to myself. ones such as suzaku, where i relate to them personally, or ones that i have outright put parts of myself into, like yuliya. the other reason is if i generally just...enjoy the character or what i have done with them, like corrin or eiji.

17. do your muses get along with each other?

i can really see my persona protag muses getting along-ryo and eiji, which isn't helped by the fact that i really like pego.kita lol. most of them are generally pretty friendly with a few exceptions, so i can see most of them getting along, like maybe io and yuliya or ryouta and kazuya. and then there's characters who would already know each other in canon, like futaba and ryo or corrin and niles.

Thankfully, there’s something more dire that will demand everyone’s attention. A formal accusation, levied against someone she was already rather unhappy with for poking holes in her version of events. Harriet leaps in to deny it, and the heartache the gesture causes is nothing short of agony. But this act isn’t yet over. She still has a part to play.

“... Tear into me, as i have forced you to tear into each other time and time again. Find me, before I’m lost. This is my plea, my challenge.”

“That’s a deliciously dramatic invitation! Ocelottie’s got a really good sense for the flow of these things. We wouldn’t be here if they didn’t want to get caught… they could have simply sent everyone on their way, none the wiser to the truth. And while Calum was alive, he wouldn’t have let his precious pin die and progress or else it’d risk screwing up the whole operation, sooo… that kinda narrows down the possibilities, right?”

Manami takes a long, deep breath.

“Could it be Bian? I have to doubt it. That doesn’t really make sense to me. Nao neither. This isn’t the sort of thing I see either of them getting involved in. Totally would have told Calum to get bent way sooner. I think they'd probably be running the country by now if it WAS either of them.”

She fires off a pair of finger guns in their honour. She loves those weird goths! They’re so cool.

“What about Esmée? Hmm, how DOES she feel about trusting people? And, and! She would look super hot with a gun! Not to mention she went to all that trouble to uproot that damn tree… who can say! I feel… I really do feel bad for you, being used like that by Calamity and all its associates.”

She wants to take that offer. She wants to be friends again. She wants to close this out, once and for all, before they can even consider that. She needs to be the bad guy here. When that show is over and the curtain falls, maybe they can go back.

“Germain does seem like a good fit too, but then again, I’m sure half of you thought Theophania was the spy or something with how loud she was about hating this place. Just because a puzzle piece is a close shape, doesn’t mean you can cram it into any old gap! Since when do we all take the first suggestion and run with it like that...?

She winks at Germain with a big sharp toothy grin. She’s got your back, friendstie!

“And Avery… well, the Lynchpin was open-minded about working with me! Who’s to say that isn’t exactly what happened? Maybe the moniker was a more ironic sort of thing…? Maybe meeting friends like the people here was the last push into standing up to centuries of torment.”

She shrugs. Her expression reads ‘pressing X to doubt’ but she finds it only fair to put it forward and be open-minded about this.

“Shin, you’re… a weird case. A lot of what’s being suggested applies very much to you too. The Lynchpin is hiding their true shape. Who knows what kind of claws you might be hiding under there? I mean, I kind of feel like… you’d have just taken the L after you saw basically everyone here was like, half your physical age, but, well. They do clearly feel pretty guilty, and 200 years changes people”

Her stare at him is incredibly pointed. It’s a very similar sort of wide-eyed attentiveness, with maybe 25% less ogling.

“Vee… well. I believed it probably was her for the longest time, but even Ocelottie isn’t as pro-Calamity as she… um, pretended to be? So I really don’t know. I feel like she’s self-sacrificial enough to have not done this to us in the first place, but maybe her arm was twisted into having no choice…? And, possibly, may have even thought it was better than the alternative?”

She offers her a nervous grin(?) of apology(?) It’s a strange expression.

“And then there’s Yuliya. I’ve known for a while that she wants nothing to do with any of this, and I’d be surprised if that was an act. We still can’t rule her out entirely, but… I’d rather not drag her into this any more than absolutely need be, honestly. I gave my word on that a while ago, sooo..."

She claps all four of her hands together and inhales. It very much feels like she didn't stop to breathe for most of that.

“So! Tell me this, friends. Who, out of all of those people, strikes you most strongly as the sort of person who wants to be caught? Who wants to be punished? To be crucified, as it were!”

late 2018/early 2019 i started drawing and posting like,, every day

21. draw one of your original characters

i am not really interested in making OCs for some reason, when i'm drawing original works, i am more interested in creating some sort of a concept where the main subject is not that relevant in an individual sense, they moreso contribute to the overall atmosphere so i don't think i have any >< the blind woman from my medusa art is the closest thing i have to an OC haha maybe i should draw her i'll edit this post when i do
