i am thinking about them and i am giving them animals to hang out with. yeag

hiei - falcon

falconeers don't really own their falcons. it takes a long time to build trust with them, and they can fly away at any time. they are wild animals

i think hiei would appreciate that untamed quality, and the speed, sight, and skill of them. i think he'd want a capable animal companion, if any at all

note: kuwabara would be freaked out by the emphasis on competence/functionality as well as the impermanence of it. he views animals as creatures to be protected and cherished, while hiei would rather spend time with something capable, self-sufficient, and useful (stealing this idea from my eikichi fic bc i think im right)

the closer an animal or an animal-owner relationship is to a baby/baby-parent relationship, the further he wants to be from it. it grosses him out a Lot. to him, it's like adopting an adult and then babytalking it

if i had to guess at a reason for it i'd say it's a matter of feeling appreciated. you generally can't get cats to do anything they don't want to do, so that means when they show you love, it's extra special. and i think his perseverence with challenges could help him win over even the most reluctant of cats, as well as his gentleness and unconditional love towards those critters

i think kuwa likes winning animals/people over and feeling chosen and seen

strong preference for very social animals, particularly mammals (so not, like, hermit crabs). i think he'd like dogs too

hates mice, so kurama's rats would be a bit weird for him

not huge on fish or reptiles, but willing/able to admire the coolness of them after freaking out for a bit. not huge on bugs and usually doesn't get over that

yusuke - it's complicated

i hate to say it but i don't think yusuke's really an animal person

HOWEVER. i do see him having a 50-year love-hate relationship with a sassy parrot. idk why i just think he'd argue with a bird

less used to short lifespans relative to him, would probably do better with something that lives longer, i.e. a parrot, while he's adjusting to that reality

though i think he'd appreciate feeling wanted and loved, i don't know that the responsibility of a pet would make him feel grounded and secure (i.e. kuwabara), but more anxious and constricted.

his carefree lifestyle would conflict with high maintenance pets, so he probably avoids them for a long time until he's ready to settle down

i think he likes dogs like he likes kids. they're cool to spend time with, but he's probably not gonna feel ready for them until they get dumped on him. i can see him dogsitting for keiko.

ok. i know birds are probably everyone's first thought bc of her bird friends at tarukane's, but i have a counter-proposal:

i think yukina loves birds but wouldn't want to trap them. she strikes me more as a feeding-birds-at-the-park type + knows what it's like to be trapped (and resents it)

she would be very willing to take in a wild bird that, due to injury or illness, could not be re-released. i think she'd love that

instead, i propose: hermit crabs and brine shrimp

my justifications for this are pretty limited. i mostly just think she'd be really into little guys. and i think she'd have a bit more interest in pets that would be considered weird or boring by others (i.e. cockroaches, beetles, tarantulas), especially if they come from non-icy climates. i can picture her holding everything from an iguana to a maggot with similar enthusiasm. but i think she'd likely start with small aquatic guys

plus, she feels a lot less bad about the trapping thing because they need to be in water to survive. it feels more right to her

anyway i just feel like she'd enjoy aquatic stuff. maybe because it's novel, if the ice world was too cold for them to be accessible

i like to think there's ponds on genkai's property that she could put koi or turtles in

part of me says she'd want a little dog and part of me says she'd want a huge rowdy dog (a bit like yusuke), so maybe she can have both. as a treat :)

though if i had to place anyone as interested in raising farm animals (as livestock or as pets), it'd be her. idk why but i can see her caring for geese and pigs and stuff. she wouldn't mind the hard and often dirty work of it

Trivia - Arch Seirei Artemis and the Seirei

I knew doing this trivia in particular was gonna be lengthy and figured might as well put in trivia for all the Seirei while I’m at it. Arch Seirei Artemis is still the primary focus of the trivia though. It’s not gonna be perfect, but oh well.

Warnings: Spoilers for Saber, and some implied self-doubt and guilt issues.

General

The Seirei are magical entities akin to angels from Wonder World who are connected to the Seiken and enable transformation into a Kamen Rider.

Their name kanji (聖霊) means ‘holy spirit’, befitting their association with the Seiken.

They were inspired by the Heavenly Saints from Magiranger.

They are where the Riders’ elemental magic is drawn from.

They are capable of taking on a human form when living on the real world. Their true forms vary depending on the Rider and their associated element.

Their true forms are usually visible in each Rider's henshin sequence. (Hence the transformation sequences of Saber, Blades, and Espada.)

Only Seiken wielders and those with high exposure to magic (Like Shion and Mei) can hear the Seirei's voices from within their Seiken.

All their true forms are humanoid in physical appearance and appear behind their user the moment the transformation is triggered.

The swordsmen call their Seirei by their names and sometimes call them by their Seiken's names. Sometimes when they transform (especially in some of the badass scenes) they shout this. "(Seirei name), Seirei of (Element)! I call upon your power! Come!" For example, Kaede would shout "Yukina, Seirei of Ice! I call upon your power! Come!" For group henshins, they would each say their Seirei's name and element and shout "We call upon your powers! Come!" in unison.

Arch Seirei Artemis (Played by FRUITS ZIPPER’s Amane Tsukiashi)

She is based off the goddess of the same name from Greek mythology and is a lot friendlier than her counterpart.

She often appears as an advisor and observer to the SoL Riders.

She used to have a group of hunters to help her watch over the Sword of Logos and assist them in battle, but Yumeko betrayed her and slaughtered them after becoming Nimcha, forcing Artemis to defeat and seal her in the Moonlight Diamond.

She only vanquished Lennox from Wonder World on Tassel’s advice.

During Touma's henshin sequence into Xross Saber, Artemis descends down and does a motion similar to that of "granting a blessing" onto him.

During the days before Kyomu was sealed in the Book of Ruin, there was an ancient Seiken which granted its user the power of pure raw magical energy that makes up the elemental magic of all the present-day Seiken, the Mahouken Sakkaku (Magic Sword Illusion), which was considered the most powerful of all the Seiken, even surpassing Saikou and Kurayami in terms of power. As such, its wielder was considered the most powerful swordsman in all the land. However, great power came with great insanity.

While most details have been lost to time, archives tell that the Seirei of the Mahouken was a humanoid six-armed being whose body seemed to be made of pure raw magic energy and the previous Arch Seirei. The Seirei of the Mahouken fed off of its wielder's will and fueled their more psychopathic tendencies to extremes. Sakkaku's wielder thought that since no swordsman can hold a candle to his power, he should be the only swordsman because of this. However, unbeknownst to him, there was a Seiken that could surpass even Sakkaku's god-like power and magic, the Haouken Xross Saber, Artemis’ Seiken.

Back then it was much like all the other Seiken, containing the power to alter reality and gives its user the elemental magic of the stars themselves. Its wielder at the time was a very powerful mage who had been studying how to split magical energy into separate types of magic.

When word of the Mahouken wielder's atrocities came to the mage, both he and Artemis were determined to put an end to this being's reign of terror. An intense battle between the two swordsmen wielding these magic swords took place which devasted the world around them. When the dust finally settled, the mage and Artemis had emerged victorious.

Not wanting any other swordsmen going insane with power, the mage used the Haouken and his special magic to destroy Sakkaku and turn its energy into the elemental magic everyone knows. Then, he sacrificed his own life to split the Haouken into magical energy, infusing into elemental energies that would become Seiken that would one day unite and summon the Haouken in its full glory to the one who wields the first Seiken forged by human hand, stronger than ever before.

He entrusted Artemis with protecting both the real world and Wonder World and watching over the Seiken wielders who would one day summon the Seiken she was connected with, stronger than even before, making her the new Arch Seirei.

Ever since, Sakkaku was lost to time due to its destruction and subsequent energy redirection and has become a cautionary tale to all members of the Sword of Logos while Artemis had been watching over the Sword of Logos, waiting for the day where heroes would rise and summon her sword to them, blessed with power beyond anything one can imagine.

Tassel saw the moment Artemis was made the new Arch Seirei and truly believed she would regain her full power one day as her deceased wielder prophesized and is fully supportive of her despite her initially being uncertain of her newfound role.

She was uncertain of becoming the new Arch Seirei at first due what the Sakkaku’s Seirei had done, but with Tassel’s support she grew into a courageous and responsible Arch Seirei, guiding the Sword of Logos and watching over them.

Ice Seirei Yukina (Played by Hikaru Yamamoto)

A kind-hearted Seirei like a princess who cares deeply about her friends.

Her name kanji means ‘snow flower’ (雪華), refencing her kind nature.

She felt guilty about Ayaka’s death, especially since Kaede had to witness it happen, even if she didn’t directly see it. She wants to make amends for it when her Seiken reappeared to Kaede in the present day.

Thunder Seirei Raito (Played by Satsuki Nakayama)

Serves as a mentor figure for Shion when she took up his Seiken.

Was amazed at Shion’s determination when she first became Espada.

His name kanji (雷当) means ‘thundering justice’.

Sound Seirei Naoto (Played by FRUITS ZIPPER’s Luna Nakagawa)

She has the appearance of a cutesy idol singer in both human and her true form.

Her name kanji means ‘south sound’ (南音), a play on words on ‘south bound’ and refencing her being the Seirei of Sound.

While she was asleep during her Seiken’s repair, she could communicate with Tetsuo via telepathy often by singing lullabies.

Flame Seirei Homura (Played by Rin Takanashi)

She found Touma’s desire to make people happy through books adorable, prompting her to escape the darkness Daichi had trapped her in 15 years ago.

Her name kanji (炎) means ‘flame’ in reference to her element.

She comes across as a little hot-blooded, but she’s really just passionate about helping Touma get used to being a swordsman.

Water Seirei Mizuhara (Played by Atsushi Shiramata)

He holds the memories of his Seiken’s past users close to him.

His name kanji (水原) means ‘water field’.

He’s easily one of the most adaptable Seirei in Wonder World.

Land Seirei Riku (Played by Eiji Akaso)

He’s the physically strongest of the Seirei, partially due to his element.

His name kanji (陸) means ‘land’ in reference to the element of earth.

He understands why Ogami prefers physical attacks over magic the most.

Wind Seirei Fuutaro (Played by Ryo Matsuda)

Due to his element of wind, he is faster than most Seirei.

His name kanji (風太郎) means ‘wind strong’.

He can tolerate Ren’s gremlin antics, as he knows he’s still learning to understand true strength.

Light Seirei Hikaru (Played by Yuki Kubota)

He fused with Yuri after Bahato was sealed in the Book of Ruin, making Yuri a hybrid in the process.

His name is read with the kanji for ‘light’ (光).

He doesn’t have much experience with other Seirei due to his time in Avalon.

Dark Seirei Yamina (Played by Nana Mori)

Her precognitive powers let her access the World of Darkness.

Her name kanji (闇名) means ‘dark distinguished’.

Her true form is similar to Homura’s but themed after a dark dragon.

Smoke Seirei Noroko (Played by Yuria Haga)

There seems to be very little that can break through her near-stoic demeanor.

Her name is read as ‘smoke child’ (煙子) and she’s the only Seirei whose name is close to the name of their Seiken, in Noroko’s case, Noroshi.

She knows her magic’s limits, often being undeterred by stronger opponents countering her.

Time Seirei Tokiwa (Played by Kohei Murakami)

In contrast to Noroko, he can be quick to anger.

His name kanji means ‘a tale of time’ (時話) in reference to Saber’s story motifs.

Ryoga is one of the few who can keep him in check.

Void Seirei Naiko (Played by Arisa Komiya)

She is responsible for returning excess magical energy from Xross Saber to the void.

Her name kanji (無子) means ‘void child’.

She’s one to reach out to the outsider who feels alone in the world.

Dream Seirei Yuna (Played by Ami Tomite)

She only wants to help people pursue their dreams.

Her name is read with the kanji for ‘dream’ (夢).

The whereabouts of her and her Seiken after Yumeko’s first defeat are unknown until Bahato’s debut in episode 34.

24. A sleepy kiss

The distant noise of what sounded like droplets hitting a puddle was what eventually drew Chishiya out of his sleeping state.

How long had he been out? No matter. The real question was, where on earth was he? Half lidded eyes fluttered open until he could survey his surroundings. A building of some kind, and a rather derelict one at that. Piles of rubble from the corroded walls lay scattered around the broken floorboards, a puddle not so far away from him with droplets of last nights rain seeping into it through the hole in the roof. The source of his awakening. Ah, that was right. Chishiya had taken refuge here for the night after completing the latest Diamond game with Yukina, deciding that travelling all the way back to the Beach would be too much of a hassle in the rain.

Speaking of Yukina.. where was she? Letting out a low grumble as he turned onto his stomach in order to stretch out, Chishiya couldn’t stop the leisurely smile from spreading across his face once he’d turned his head to come face to face with none other than Yukina still sound asleep. Good, she was safe. Lazily, the blond draped his arm over the sleeping woman’s waist, pulling himself closer until there was barely any distance between them. “Weren’t you supposed to be keeping watch?” He hummed, placing a sleepy kiss to the side of her lips.

They can show up in any order, but the user is always born with the ears, tail, and other features of a fox. At ages 32 and 40, the user will gain four tails, ending their Quirk maturity with nine tails. Still, there's a legend that if a user of the Kitsune Quirk gets severely wounded while protecting another, they will gain all nine tails at once. This hasn't been seen but the rumor has been passed down since the Kitsune Quirk emerged. The Quirk can be genetically passed on through offspring, meaning that if the user of the Kitsune quirk has children, there is a chance that one of them may have the exact same Quirk. With the features of a fox, the user also has the senses of a fox (heightened sight, hearing, smell, etc.).  ✭ quirk drawbacks: Overuse of illusions can cause the user to become lethargic. The user is not immune to being burned by their own flames. In addition, there is a starting 15 second cooloff for use of both aspects of the quirk.

✭ mother (Hinata Okami): Hinata is Yukina's inspiration for becoming a hero, along with her grandmother. She is a kind, strong woman who cares for her kids very much. When Yukina decided she wanted to be a hero, Hinata was incredibly supportive and helped her train. ✭ father (Fumihiro Okami): Fumihiro is, to Yukina, the best father she could ask for. He's supportive, understanding, and incredibly dedicated to his family. He was the one who sparked Yukina's love for cooking and baking and taught her how the kitchen works. ✭ older sister (Kaguya Okami, oldest): Kaguya and Yukina may annoy each other from time to time, but they are practically inseparable. In their words, they are a "nerd" and "loser" respectively. Despite the constant insulting, the two love each other (as much as siblings can). ✭ older brother (Tsukiyama Okami, middle): Tsukiyama is and has been one of Yukina's closest friends for a long time. They don't annoy each other as often as with Kaguya, but there is some bickering from time to time. Still, the two have been best friends since Yukina gained sentience. ✭ grandmother (Miyako Okami): The woman who started it all, Miyako is another huge inspiration for Yukina. She taught her how to stand up for others and the greater good, no matter what. vi.– backstory

Yukina was the third and last child of Hinata and Fumihiro Okami. As she was the only one of her siblings to have inherited the Kitsune Quirk from her mother and grandmother, she was heralded as the successor to the Fox Hero name by the public. At the time, her grandmother Miyako had retired from the hero business and had fully passed on the Fox Hero mantle to Hinata, who was still keeping the populations safe as Zenko, the second Fox Hero. Since she was old enough to understand heroics, Yukina had wanted to be a hero like her mom and grandmother. Despite being supportive of her goals, her parents warned her of the risks of becoming a hero. Yukina decided it was worth it and started training under her mother. When Yukina was nine, Hinata was attacked by the Hero Killer Stain, who decided not to kill her instantly. Instead he sliced off her left arm, leaving her to bleed out in an alleyway. The authorities arrived before the blood loss was fatal, but a full recovery took months. Yukina wasn't told about this until Hinata came home with a bionic arm attached to where her left arm was. she retired shortly after. Still, she kept training Yukina to use her powers to the best of her ability. Some time later, the 6/6 Incident, where people with Quirk mutations were massacred without reason, occurred. Yukina and her direct family weren't involved in the massacre, but three members of her extended family were. After that, Yukina vowed that as a pro, she would protect the innocent and ensure that nothing like that would ever happen again. ...and then the fic begins.

Challenge: Write a fic in which Nanami Kento and significant other are not already in an established relationship. Condition: Nanami must overcome his denseness.

Nanami and Yukina meet after being assigned to work together to exorcise a curse that consumes children. I mean, it's a pretty predictable plot. But like...what do you want from me? I'm here for romance.

A stack of papers sat at Yukina's desk. It was left there by Nitta, an auxiliary manager from Tokyo Jujutsu High. Earlier that day, Yukina was asked by Principal Gakuganji to exorcise a curse that had appeared near the Tokyo campus. Apparently, the ratio of curses to sorcerers had grown too high, and the Jujutsu High staff at both campuses have been spread thin. Being the only two sorcerers left, Yukina was instructed to work with a certain Nanami Kento to deal with a high-level curse.

"What can you tell me about Nanami Kento, Nitta-san?" Yukina asked, smiling gently at the manager. Nitta was scrolling through her work emails on her phone. She looked up briefly as she thought about how to answer Yukina's question before she continued scrolling.

"Repressed, I'd say," the blonde answered before excusing herself. Though she was intrigued by that description, Yukina didn't follow-up with anymore questions. Nitta was clearly busy with other things.

With a slightly overwhelmed sigh, Yukina raked through the records regarding her soon-to-be coworker. Though it was a tedious task, she knew that learning more about her peer would result in a more synergistic work relationship, which would ultimately increase their chances of success.

Nanami Kento was a 27 year old jujutsu sorcerer. The death of his friend during his formative years sent him spiraling away from his life's calling - helping others using his jujutsu. He chose to pursue a career in the business world as a salaryman, making the rich richer. After a few years of falling into a rut, he found that this line of work was shit and grew to resent it. Would it come to anyone's surprise that this man was repressed? At least, that's what Yukina thought as she finished skimming through the Tokyo Jujutsu High reports.

'He's probably one of those serious, standoff-ish types,' Yukina's thoughts drifted before reminding herself to focus.

According to the reports, Nanami was typically level-headed person who thought before he acted. His technique involved the use of a blunt blade, which meant his attacks were short-distanced. The likelihood that he was skilled at melee was probably high. Yukina propped her cheek on the palm on her hand, elbow pressed atop her desk. It sounded as though their respective techniques would compliment each other's. If he went on the offensive with his technique, she could support him from afar with hers.

With another sigh, she stood up from her desk. 'I guess it's time to meet the man.'

"There has been a surge of incoming reports regarding missing children at the local parks. The general public believes there is a kidnapper loose, but one child claimed to see another disappear into thin air." Ijichi pushed his glasses up before continuing his debriefing, "The curse may be a level 1 or a special grade. You have been assigned to exorcise this curse with one of Kyoto's sorcerers as a precautionary measure."

Mildly intrigued, Nanami asked cooly, "Which sorcerer?"

"Yukina is her name," Ijichi answered, looking at Yukina's details on his tablet. "An ice user, it seems."

"Ice?"

"Yes, according to the files, Yukina is able to form ice using water particles in the air. The ice is then used to pierce through her enemies, at a maximum distance of--"

"...a kilometer," a voice rang through the air.

Nanami and Ijichi turned towards the classroom door. There stood a woman of [short/average/tall] stature, with [your choice] colored hair. Her [color] eyes pierced through Nanami's glasses.

"Well, don't stop on my account," the woman said, her tone teasing.

"Yukina-san," Ijichi said, running his fingers across his tablet, "I thought I was scheduled to pick you up later. Ah! Yukina-san, this is Nanami-san."

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Nanami said respectfully. Although what he said sounded neutral, it felt a bit cold to Yukina.

"Likewise," she reciprocated. He was already putting a wall up between them. She almost wanted to roll her eyes, knowing that distancing himself would only be counterproductive. Fighting alongside one another would yield better results if they were more trusting of each other, and she aimed to achieve that by the end of the night.

"Now that you two have been acquainted and debriefed, I'll be taking my leave," Ijichi said, "Please excuse me.l

Yukina waited for the door to close behind Ijichi. "Let's have dinner. I haven't eaten all day."

Surprisingly, Nanami chose the restaurant. Since he seemed particularly keen on this place, Yukina assumed he'd know which items were best and insisted that he decide for her. She sat across from Nanami at one of the restaurant's circular tables. It was a cute little hole-in-the-wall eatery, not a hint of luxury or pretentiousness anywhere. Yukina was mildly surprised. Nanami was a salaryman, and she made the assumption that he'd be picky with his choice of restaurants.

Other than that, Nanami seemed exactly how the records described him. Tall, strong build, straight-to-the-point. She had to admit that he was quite attractive, even with those shitty looking eyes -- the type that glared at you even when there was no malice behind them. She was used to that, since she had some herself. The words 'resting bitch face' came to mind.

She watched him as he ordered, not really listening to what he was saying, more focused on how he combed through the menu, dragging his finger down its plastic cover in the order the items were presented. 'Methodical,' she approved.

"What have you figured out?"

Yukina furrowed her brows, Nanami's voice calling her back to the present. All she could muster was: "Huh?"

Nanami leaned back against his seat, arms and legs crossed, yet not defensive. "You look like you've been trying to figure something out about me. And just now, your shoulders relaxed, which means you've found something."

Yukina chuckled, surprised that he was paying attention just as much as she was.

"I haven't. I was considering how you and I differed," she leaned against the table, resting her cheek on her palm. "Care to debrief me on the situation? I'm certain that you already devised a plan of attack."

Nanami appreciated that Yukina was keeping things on track.

"A curse has been kidnapping children around local parks. It is likely that the children are all dead."

"What if they aren't?"

"Do what you can to save the living."

"Even if that gets in the way of the mission?"

Nanami paused for a second, then responded, "Yes. We would just have to stop it before it harms another child."

"Sounds good to me. Where should we start?" Yukina asked, being mindful of her choice of words as the server approached to set their food on the table. Nanami's hand immediately went for the breadsticks.

"We can start scoping out the parks. We'll split up to cover more ground."

Yukina refused immediately. Nanami raised a brow, waiting for an explanation. "It's safer to go together."

Nanami considered her words for a moment. Was she scared of dying? It was understandable considering their line of work. But she didn't strike him as a "delicate" woman who might concern herself in that regard. There must be something else that worried her. He wanted to ask, but decided not to, realizing that it wouldn't change anything in the grand scheme of things.

"If you insist," Nanami responded.

Yukina smiled, "We're getting along so well already."

anyone who follows my yyh posting knows im working on in theory a yukina specific au so obviously shes my fav:) shes the twin sister of hiei one of the main characters (the short troll doll shaped fellow) their mother was part of an ice demon culture where women bore only girls on their own but their mum went off and had a little fun and came back pregant w a girl (yukina) and a boy (hiei) she gave birth to both of them and while she was still down from giving birth they made her best friend throw hiei off a cliff and assumed he died.... so he had his whole shonen character orgin story but never forgot where he came from and returned there as a teen. their mother had died and his sister had set out to find him. the only thing she had to go on was the "tear" of her mother bc ice demons shet tears that turn into extremely valueable pearls so shes looking for her brother who will ofc recognize his pearl. she enters the story when the gang learns a demon has been kidnapped and is being abused bc of her valuable tears and they learn its hieis sister when he kamikazes the guys holding her....she immediatly recognizes smth in him and he asks him who he is but he just responds w "no one" and after that they have this weird relationship of recognition but hiei can never tell her hes her brother for reasons i cant explain bc this is already like a page of text so tldr: scorpio legend back story and relation to the main charas that make me cry and throw up every single day of my life killer design i need to stop now i could go on forever one of my ALL TIME FAV CHARACTERS EVER (im so mad she gets sidelined that im actively working on an au)

note: the word used in japanese is "yarare" role and means a character that is destined to lose the fights. It's usually an expendable role that serves to highlight the protagonist's power. Probably a joke from the interviewer (Botan) who is teasing Hiei, because he didn’t do much in the Black Chapter’s Arc, losing his soul to Kaito, disappearing the entire saga, sleeping during Amanuma’s match and finally being beaten by Sensui. Q: Although you keep your distance and have a neutral relationship with Yusuke and the others, how will it be henceforth? A: We may not meet again in two or three years. Q: You fell down from a tree when the “itako” whistle was blown, where are you staying at? A: On the tree. Q: What if Yukina-chan falls in love with Kuwabara…? What would you do? A member of the main branch of the Hyuga family, Tsukiya was born to Yukina Hyuga and Ashitaka Nara (a descendant of the Hatake clan on his father side) on the night of February 28th, the family of three lived in predominately Nara section of the village despite Yukina fathers' protest and threats of branding her son with the sealing jutsu for branch family members. Tsukiya from a young age was gifted in the art of the Gentle Fist and would train vigorously with his mother, mastering many of the techniques and accessing his Byugkan sporadically until he gained control of it at eight years old. In conjunction with his Gentle Fist, Tsukiya trained with his father in the Nara clan hidden arts and was capable of mastering three of the Nara clans' jutsu by the time he graduated from the Ninja Academy. 

Tsukiya was placed on a team with Inosuke Inuzuka, Shiho Sarutobi, and Mafuyu Hyuga as his sensei. Inosuke was a strong-willed young man of the Inuzuka clan that never backed down from a challenge and loved to tease his teammates. Shiho was the "Rookie of the Year" of their graduating class and had an inherited skill as a fire style user, she was kind and the heart of the team. Tsukiya was behind Shiho slightly in terms of academics but placed second in their year. Mafayu Hyuga was serious sensei that always pushed her students, especially Tsukiya, and would constantly remind them of the importance of developing their strengths and learning to better their weaknesses. The team would go on many missions and bond for two years through missions, training, and spending many cherished moments together. Tsukiya was the only one amongst his team to become a chunin and it was a joyous time as it just reinvigorated his team to catch up. Sadly, Tsukiya team would not see the day as they had been killed during the Konoha Crush Plan one by one they died before his eyes until he was the only survivor, their deaths forever changed him like many who lost someone special that day.

Tsukiya would go through many trials and hardships during the time after their deaths, refusing the Lady Tsunade reassigning him to a new time. It was a waste considering his skill, so as means to put him to work Tsunade placed him in the ANBU who reported to her directly. For nearly three years, Tsukiya had completed a series of missions to maximum effectiveness though this did not help ease the sadness he constantly felt. So Tsunade as an attempt to try her old plan placed him on a new team, if he refused he would be stripped of his shinobi status. Part of her reason to put him on this new team was to keep an eye on two shinobi who recently defected from their villages to join the Hidden Leaf in hopes of survival, intel offering, and a new start. 

Kasumi Sato, Former Hidden Rain Village, she is an expert in water style and is a sensory type with innate hearing and visual prowess that is quite well for someone without a dojutsu. Sora Tohno, Former Hidden Cloud, is a swordsman shinobi with master-level lightning style jutsus that work with or without his katana. A band of misfits to be lead by a recently made Jonin whose skills were quite terrifying for someone of the Sarutobi.  Miyori Saratobi, known as the "Burning Beauty of the Leaf," is a master in fire, wind, and lightning styles whose skills with a bo staff leave some weapon experts in fear. 

The road ahead for Tsukiya will be long for him to fight and endure the pain that is to come. He will take mentorship from many of the other sensei in the village that understand him but the one that will have the biggest impact on him would be the Son of the White fang...
