Yukihiko huffed, crossing his arms and narrowing his ruby red eyes up at Cooper. Like a mini Shibusawa.

Akira has managed to find Yukihiko's apartment, perhaps with the help of a shadow-walking informant. He does not care that he had to go into Port Mafia territory purely to offer a bouquet of flowers.

He knocks on the door, a bouquet of Zinnias, Tulips, Violets, Red Roses, Orchids, and Carnations held close to his chest. He still has a soft smile on his face, and he's wearing somewhat fancier clothes than normal.

Yukihiko answers the door a few minutes after Akira knocked, dressed up in a red corset and white long sleeve under it.

"Wh- What are you doing here?" He asked, before looking down at the bouquet and he softened, face turning a pretty red color.

Yukihiko is easy to get away from Amai, though he does glare at Kiyotaka with utter loathing. Of course that person had to get his memories back, great, just great. Yukihiko had been excited when he had learned that Amai had lost their memories, but now that that plan had been ruined, he had to be insulted even further. 

“I don’t… I don’t have to explain myself to you. Ask the murderer in front of you,” he says in an ice cold tone before leaving the two of them be with a huff of annoyance before leaving he two be, not wanting to be there any longer to see the lover’s reunion, something that utterly disgusted him. 

Amai only watches Yukihiko with a defeated look on their face as they look over at Kiyotaka. “Sorry that you had to see that,” they say as they pull themself up, a guilty look on their face. “I… I don’t blame you if you don’t want to hear me out, but I’m glad that you’re okay, my beloved knight.”

Part 2 - The Legacy Students Here are the first half of the Legacy students!

Sid & Joey

The silly guys! Sid and Joey are the oldest kids? (I think I made them like 19 initially but I'm still calling them kids I don't care) out of the Legacy Students. Thought it would be fun to have twin characters because as we all know twins are not at all significant to the plot of DR I only had to make one sprite yey. Their main personality trait as a pair is the pretty stereotypical wacky, prank-pulling twins. Sid's technically the older twin and is a bit more aggressive and weirder. Joey is more charismatic and friendly. They dress and act the same in public-facing situations for shits and gigs but they do have distinctly different personalities. I'm not sure I'm like, entirely happy with how I initially characterised them. They just felt too similar to Leon at some points but eh. Had a mini freak out because I wasn't sure if wacky coloured hair is like....genetic in the DR universe?! Whatever.

Daiya

Oh Daiya. Daiya, Daiya, Daiya. She was the first OC I created for this thing and the one who I spent the most time on. I thought it'd be cute if Taka's daughter took one look at Mondo and was like you are my entire personality now. He's definitely a father figure to her (Ishimondo was end game in this AU btw, also on that note any father/mother pairings in this AU do not equal couples or anything. That was all done out of fulfilling the contracts. Half of them are gay/queer in some way I promise) Anyway, I always kind of pictured her as a rebel - as much as she could be in such an intimate place. Getting answers wrong in class on purpose, and hanging out in areas she's not supposed to be in. A big part of the plot of the AU hinges on her creating a club with the sole intent of escaping the school. Her dream is to travel across the land Mad Max style. Daiya ended up being the more or less 'antagonist' archetype for this AU. I still kind of flip-flop between giving her delinquent and queen bee bully personality. The twins are her lackeys.

Ren

Sad girl hours time! Ren is a jumpy, skittery mess. She knows her existence was a mistake, so she spends her time desperately trying to make up for it.

She loves being around children and is the designated babysitter for the younger Legacy Students. When she's not being mercilessly bullied by Daiya or alienating herself from others, she also likes to make toys. Another really big aspect of this AU is that Toko voluntarily locks herself away (to protect the others from Genocider), so Ren takes it upon herself to act as her caretaker. I'm still kind of working out what her relationship with Byakuya is. I definitely made it more fractured in the original concept, but I don't think he would be that cold to his own child.

Kaito

Hi I am very unhealthy about Kaito he is my favourite. Before you ask, I made him before V3 came out and I absolutely refuse to change his name even though it makes everything I write really confusing (I think he'd get along really well with V3 Kaito though) He's my favourite attempt at mixing two Danganronpa characters together and creating an amalgamation because he ended up becoming a chill and friendly surfer vibe new age one with the universe bro friend. Also he's a blind seer who kickstarts the AU story with a horrifying vision so that's always fun! He's definitely one of the most complex Legacy students because he has tons of layers to him. Something something happiest people are always y'know - not.

Yukihiko

Ah yes, gotta have the quiet, stoic guy who stands in the corner. Yuki start off a lot meaner/more sarcastic when I first made him but then I was like nah I kinda like making him the guy who says like five words a day and judges you quietly from a distance. I was also going to make him more martial arts focused but I ended up making him more into meditation once I figured out his whole thing, that being he's afraid of his own power so he tries to keep himself in a calm state as much as he can.

and that's all the older kids! If anyone ever wants to discuss them or anything I am always open lmao they've rotted my brain for like 6 - 7 years so I have some weird ass lore for all of them.

He doesn't trust their partner and will make it known to his darling that they should watch out for them. (Even if his darling and their partner have been together for years.) 

He is going to somewhat ask the others to help. 

He is going to watch them like a hawk because one slip up and he will make sure they will never see the light of day again. 

Then again, his darling’s partner isn't going to last that long no matter what they try to do. 

Yukihiko Iwakura: 

He is going to get rid of them as fast as he can. 

It doesn't matter how long they have been a couple he is going to tear it apart. 

Making them look bad, putting suspicion in the relationship, getting in his darling head about how they aren’t a great match or how the person isn't really that great of a partner. 

He is going to use everything he can to break them up. (Made up or real.) 

And who else but him to pick up the pieces of his darling's broken heart? 

Akihiro Hirata: 

He hates the situation so much. 

So, from day one he is playing on how to break them up. 

He believes their partner is up to something terrible. All they want to do is hurt his darling and he will be damned if he lets that happen. 

So, he starts to put things in his darling’s head. Just little ‘hints’ to simply help them see the truth. 

Maybe he has some ‘evidence’ that backs up his claims that they really are a terrible partner.

Romance Post 001: "You're too beautiful.."

Yukihiko had a dilemma. The dilemma being that he couldn't stop staring at the photo Akira sent him a little over a month ago. The man was just too gorgeous.

And goddammit, Yukihiko wanted that man to be his so badly. He never did romance, never saw the practicality in it, but now he was diving headfirst into an obsession with a man who he's known for a month or so. It wasn't healthy.

To make things worse, every time Yukihiko tried going to sleep, images of Akira holding him and teasing him with loving touches and gentle words conjured in his mind. He began to stop sleeping entirely, relying on coffee to get through the day.

He was slowly but surely losing his mind over this man, who had a voice as soft as velvet and an embrace that was warm and comforting.

Yukihiko never stopped having nightmares either, the times he did sleep. Except now they were about losing Akira instead of about his past. It was torture. Some days he wanted to sink his teeth into the man or kiss him breathless, other days he wanted to shoot him in the head or slit his throat.

So now here he was, a desperate mess in his bed as he gazed longingly at the picture of a man who could only be referred to as a God. And goddamn, he'd burn down his own apartment if it meant he got to stay with Akira for a little while.

Is this romance? He mentally sighed. I'll have to ask Nii-san later.

And so, he continued gazing at the picture, longing for the possibility that maybe he could have a partner, despite his occupation and personality.

Yukihiko is easy to get away from Amai, and as the confectioner slumps against the floor, the former student council president glares at the pilot. “I’m getting revenge on my murderer what does it look like?!” Yukihiko is glaring even more at Amai. “You… you betrayed me. I-I wanted to save you and you… you…” 

Amai just looks down, their eyes full of shame. It was true, and while they had paid for it in a far more painful death, they still felt guilty for it, even if they would do it again. While they did feel… something for Yukihiko, it wasn’t the same feeling that he gave them, and while they were grateful to the safety that he gave them… they had no choice in the end. 

“I-I know… I’m sorry. I-I couldn’t… I’m sorry, Yukihiko.” Looking up at him, they give him a determined look. “I-if you seriously want to get revenge, then so be it, b-but… at least wait for Raijin to leave first.” 

There’s a pause before he sighs and shakes his head, just going back to his room with a slam of the door. There’s the sound of it locking before they get up on shaky legs, looking over at Raijin. 

“Sorry that you had to see that… I… I’m sure you have a few questions. I just ask that you give me the chance to at least say what happened.” They didn’t think what they did was justifiable. Even if it was a sacrifice to save everyone, they knew that their actions were inexcusable, abhorrent even. How could someone like Raijin still love them after learning they were a murderer?

It isn’t difficult to push Yukihiko off of Amai, the initial attack being incredibly straining for him to begin with. Amai sinks to the ground, coughing a little as they catch their breath, giving Naoko a thankful and concerned look as Yukihiko stares down at the confectioner with eyes full of betrayal. 

“I… you… why? What were you hoping to get? Y-you… you were supposed to understand me! I-I just wanted to-” 

“I-it wasn’t worth it… I… I’m sorry for what I did to you, but… Yukihiko… you couldn’t just ask me to be okay with what you were doing.” There was a silence as Amai pulled themself off the ground, looking Yukihiko in the eyes. “I-I’ll accept whatever you want to do to me, but I don’t regret what I had to do… I’m sorry for hurting you, though.” 

Another silence falls between them as Yukihiko just goes back to his room, making Amai sigh in relief as they look over at Naoko. They were made to forget about their partner when they were in the simulation, but seeing him now, even in this state, it was a relief to know that he was okay for the most part. 

“Thank you… a-are you all right? Do you need help getting back to your room, my beloved?” Even now, they were thinking about Naoko’s health and comfort over their own. After everything that happened, they weren’t the same as they were, but they hoped that he would be able to look past their crimes… even if it was just a lie.
