Shakugan no Shana

Unfortunately, I don't have a Gigantic Shin Godzilla to take pictures of. The latest round of Shin-Mania is upon us, thanks to the latest Gigantic reissue by X-Plus (I did preorder this time!). However, I do have the Sakai Shin Godzilla, which I still love.

In a post response to an ask about Shakugan no Shana you replied that Yuji, actually wasn’t indecisive about who he’d choose between Shana and Kazumi. His and Shana’s late canonisation was due to them being on opposing sides of a war, not due to any indecisiveness on Yuji’s part. Idk at what point in the anime you are referring to but in season 1 to me it seemed like he liked Yoshida. He looked jealous when he asked Ike his feelings towards her, he accepts her invite to the festival despite knowing the situation that Yoshida possibly likes him and says he is happy about her confession. Did I misinterpret these examples? I just came across the show and I am almost done season 2. Too bad it isn’t as popular now.

From my perspective, I didn't get a sense that Yuji liked Yoshida romantically. I didn't interpret his reaction to Ike as one of jealousy, and yeah he said he was happy about Yoshida's confession, but that doesn't equate to an acceptance of it; many people say they're happy when they get confessed to, but still ultimately turn it down. I mean, why wouldn't you be happy when someone tells you they love you?

But the main reason why I said that Yuji wasn't indecisive, was that when Shana and Yoshida actually asked him to choose which one of them he'd meet, he made his choice very quickly and decisively.
