So if Echo had romantic feelings for Geko and she turned into a card/the duel energy for the card, and human Yubel turned into a card for og King and they were implied romantic... This scene with Aster means..??

I watched this scene in the dub but I think I watched it in sub...but I never liked it. It really highlighted how lacklustre the rival relationship in GX is. I still like it and I find the dynamic interesting but Manjoume deserved better.

Think about other scenes like this in the other Yugioh series where the rivals give the protags a tough love pep talk. When Kaiba motivated Yami during the Slifer duel. When Shark motivated Yuma after the battle against Mizael. When Jack literally punched Yusei when he was feeling sorry for himself after Kiryu I think. The rival's words have weight and they are able to reach the protag. Judai literally ignores Manjoume and walks off. Then Manjoume becomes brainwashed by the SOL and Judai does squat to help him until Manjoume challenges him. Like LOL. Yugi and his friends are quick to help Kaiba, even when they are not forced into his, when he needs help. Yuma literally moved the ends of the world when Shark needed help even when he didn't want it.

It's really sad to see Judai and Manjoume in comparison. Judai and Manjoume didn't even bond over their ability to see spirits and they were the only ones who could do that until Johan came along. Sigh.

I saw your answer on your favorite Yugioh characters, but now here's a question~

You stick them all in a room and they have to stay in there for an hour. What do you think is going to happen? Do they fight? Do they form alliances? Do they sit in a circle and talk about Duel Monsters strategies?

Joey and Soulburner would immediately vibe on nigh atomic level. Immediate golden-retriever-to-golden-retriever communication. If/when their conversation goes to duel monsters, Yusei and Astrals' interest would be caught and they'd wander over, probably while still calmly working on their own strategy to unlock the door. Chazz would try desperately to sit in the corner by himself, but eventually he HAS to join in, probably because he's the only one that can actually see Astral, and he grumpily assigns himself the job of interpreting.

Meanwhile, Shay Obsidian is climbing on the walls and trying to get a raidraptor to destroy the whole building.

Loved everything about this card the moment I saw it :D

Personally I really like the idea that this is meant to be post-series/redemption/fusing-with-Judai Yubel, and that this is the form Judai now plays in his deck.

For one, they're a fusion monster, with of course is Judai's whole shtick, and the fact they can be made with any Yubel monster means they can be much more easily integrated into Judai's deck without needing Terror Incarnate or Ultimate Nightmare. Which itself feels fitting given that those are very much representative of Yubel's anger, pain and trauma which they've now started healing from.

Yubel - The Loving Defender Forever

-chanting- Yubel! Yubel! Yubel! I never got to the episodes with Yubel when I watched GX as a kid, but their appearance in this card feels like the ultimate love letter to the series. For starters, their appearance is somewhere in between all three of Yubel's major forms (normal, Terror Incarnate, and Ultimate Nightmare), possessing some of the hairier portions of Terror Incarnate (tail and wings), a draconic head in place of their right arm (which looks like a mix of their latter two forms), and eyeballs on their knees and horns on their (humanoid) head (like Ultimate Nightmare). I also really enjoy that they got to keep their original coloration here that was done away with for their regular body (i.e. no gray coverage on their torso). In addition to all of this, Yubel's design here is a direct and obvious reference paying homage to the beloved Elemental HERO Flame Wingman. I'm kind of surprised a card like this didn't pop up sooner, what with Yubel's dragon left arm looking nearly exactly like Flame Wingman's (along with many other striking similarities, if I'm being honest). Pose is killer, love the added sparkly effects around their hand as if they're giving a dramatic flourish, and the background is flashy without being distracting.
