realistically all of these falcom news has been planned prior to their announcement (obviously because they couldn't fucking translate ys vs sora no kiseki in like less than a week now) ways before the chairman croaked. and the staff definitely wanted to take it easy in 2025 with just adding onto Ys X since its homeland release a few years back. but man it's funnier to imagine kondo assassinating kato personally then immediately dropping these news

“When Adol arrives in a city he is IMMEDIATLY arrested and when he's arrested a mad alchemist makes a clone of him (Crimson King my beloved) and from that point on you play AS the clone and the game does not tell you this switch happens until the penultimate chapter. Occasionally sidequests will cut back to the real Adol, still in jail, and it's such a ???? plotline I love it. The two meet when the Crimson King is dying cuz he's an unstable clone cuz he was Born an Adult and not a baby like the rest of the clone gang so he fuses with Adol and the two talk. It's actually really sweet how the two consider themselves one person, because they both would have made the same choices had their positions be reversed. The Crimson King didn't know he *wasn't* Adol until the end, too. And Adol accepts this too!! They r like. the exact opposite of Roxas and Sora. The scene made me emotional ok i'm not over it. In that sense the Crimson King doesn't actually die because Adol gains his memories and everyone treats them as the same person after. It's what the Crimson King would've wanted ig. Also the final boss of the game is another clone of Adol the mad alchemist made out of Adol and the dna of every god adol has killed in the series' previous eight installments. The god-clone Atra keeps trash talking you in Adol's voice during the fight and it's an incredibly weird experience.” - User submission

And while I’m set to wrap that particular series up at the end of this year, I wanted to celebrate another video game series that I haven’t loved for nearly as long, but almost as intensely. That’s right, dear friends, today we will be journeying back to the Ys series of games, to delve…

I don't really think Geis and Aisha belong together. I mean, I get the point. It's kinda about a love-hate relationship between a tsundere princess who loves to snuck out of the palace and a moody mercenary who snucks into the palace. They got chemistry and their interaction in Ys vs Sora no Kiseki shows it. It's honestly adorable. But the problem is, they don't have any real interaction in Ys Seven, the real game. They got interactions in Ys vs Sora no Kiseki, sure... But, knowing that they don't even talk to each other in more than 5 dialogues in the real series, it felt forced. Even it looks kinda weird when they are walking next to each other in Minna Atsumare! Falcom Gakuen.

I honestly think that Aisha is better off with Dogi, since they do get along really well in the real series. They got the kind of love-hate relationship as well. Dogi deserves to get a girlfriend who doesn't invest her time in Adol anyway lol

Well, it's just an opinion! It's not like Geis and Aisha are canon anyway xD

Trails in the Sky FC Chapter 4 (Part 2): A couple friends are either playing or soon going to be playing Trails of Cold Steel I. I told them that it's part of a larger series, and that Trails in the Sky is the first arc, and the Crossbell games are the second arc. I told them about walkthroughs on youtube as well, in case they don't have the time or money to play an extra 3 or 5 games. And tried to share some wiki synopses; but the synopsis for FC is incomplete. So I'm attempting to write one. Attempting being the key word.
