Lately I've been obsessed with the idea of a yowamushi pedal mayakuro au (art based on screenshots bc drawing bikes is evil orz)

theres certainly a lot of interesting room for people to explore in fanfiction of like ‘what if this character was in a different situation how would they act’ but honestly i am personally so much of an AU hater so much of the time. especially when its a work that is largely shipping focused instead of a character study im so often just like ‘no! engage with the source material!’ it just feels like nothing to me once the connections become so tenuous beyond character’s names

i think this happened to me through being a baby communist middle schooler interested in history reading les mis fanfiction. i was always so ‘stop with the modern day coffee shop aus, no i dont care that you did it because les amis canonically meet in a cafe. you’d better start researching 19th century french radicals’

I kinda wanna draw a Genshin AU of Yowamushi Pedal but idk what weapon or element should I assign to each character...

I can Imagine Manami getting an Anemo vision, idk what kind of weapon he would use though... (sword??? Ohhh what if he uses a catalyst but does close combat like Heizou!! XDD)

Idk what element Onoda would get but I can see him using a bow as a weapon for some reason. I also headcannon that he got his vision recently or something (kinda like how he got into road racing recently) XD

I can see Midousuji getting an Electro vision but like Manami, idk what kind of weapon he would use...

There's more characters that I could think of but I kinda want to focus on these three for now haha... 😅😅

Maaaan now I really want to design some outfits for them but it's already pretty late down here, and I'll have to do a bunch of research on traditional Japanese clothing and somehow translate that to Genshin's aesthetic.

CHAPTER 1:

Arakita and his three fluffy bastards:

As soon as Arakita got home, he went straight to his bed. After a long day of cycling and dealing with his teammate's bullshit, he believed that he deserved a good night's rest. He yawned as and took off his sweaty clothes, leaving him in his vest and boxers. He threw the clothes into the laundry basket to deal with tomorrow. He fluffed up his pillow and laid his head down to rest...

However just as he was about to hit the hay,

"Mrow!" Arakita groaned as Yukinari, his Persian white cat was on top of him, his paws on Arakitas face, prying him for attention. Arakita growled as he sat up and picked Yukinari up. "Don't you have anything better to do?" he asked the cat who meowed back in response. Arakita laid yukinari down on his lap and pet his fur, scratching behind his ears and Yukinari started purring which immediately attracted his two other little bastards, Sangaku and Masakiyo into his room.

"Mrow~" Sangaku mewled as he jumped on the bed as well laying down next to Arakita, yawning as well. "Oi Sangaku, don't fall asleep on my bed!" He said trying to push Sangaku away but only seeming to make Sangaku want to sleep on the soft bed more. "Mrrrooww~" Sangaku complained, Arakita gave up and let Sangaku rest next to him which he appreciated and gave Arakita a happy little meow in response. Masakiyo waited at the door, staring at him with his angry face. "Mroow!" Arakita scoffed at Masakiyo who also patiently awaited to join in. "Oi Maa kun, you come up here as well." Masakiyo's eyes lit up and he followed as well making his way to Arakita's side. Yukinari had already fallen asleep on his lap, Sangaku following close behind, rolling into a ball next to Arakita. "Well Maa kun, get to sleep as well, I needa rest tomorrow so that I can deal with Kin and Miya Chan's bullshit." Arakita complains as he rests his head againist his pillow. Masakiyo purrs and licks Arakita's hand, Arakita smiles as he reciprocates, petting the top of his head as all of them slowly dozed off.

"Is Y/N around?" Oikawa asked one of your friends but they all shrugged, covering up for you like you'd asked, saying you had some errands to run and that they didn't know where you were off to even when they did know.

He sighed, clearly disappointed. He wanted to tell you something really important but when the time was right, you would always be off elsewhere. He thanked them in a quiet voice before leaving the classroom and walked to Matsukawa's house with Iwaizumi, Hanamaki, and the resident himself.

You're neighbors with Matsukawa so he asked him if he knew of your whereabouts if you'd told him anything, but he shrugged, suggesting he ask your mum instead, who was always at home. He did as suggested and got out of his house to walk to yours.

Oikawa and you have never really interacted much. It wasn't like you didn't like him, you did and you wanted to be close with him but what you are was a problem. You restrained yourself from him simply because you were different, in an otherworldly way.

Your likes weren't even accepted and confirmed to the public until not even a decade ago when someone who sat on the presidential seat of your country finally had a right mind. You hadn't asked him of his thoughts regarding vampires, no, you were too scared to.

You didn't even kill or eat people, you managed to get by with just animals, so you believe that it makes you no lesser than just your regular human. But you were still hesitant to let him know, you'd only known him since the start of the summer break after your second year after all.

You dashed through the back door, covered in ox blood. You weren't mindful of what you wore again this time around, so it was going to be a pain trying to wash off the red stains on your light coloured shirt with a bunch of chemicals. You sigh, bracing yourself for another long session of washing your laundry.

One wouldn't think twice about taking off their clothes... or at least you didn't since you believed nobody else was inside the house but your mother. And you were wrong.

@midoriima oohhh added a little something here cos it got cut off. i loved my idea for this fic but i've forgotten all about it now and i left this sitting in my drafts for more than a year now 😢 besides yowamushi pedal, i was also obsessed with vampire au's cos i reread the twilight saga (ik shut) and got carried away by the ideas that just didn't seem to stop coming.

Hace como un mes estaba escuchando la playlist de ops/eds de Naruto y me cayó toda la inspiración para diseñar mi T2 versión Naruto🤯 hice la versión de Naruto (los de arriba) y la de Shippuden (los de abajo), tienen 12 y 13 años al inicio y 18 y 19 al final, Junta es el mayor☆

En este AU, Junta es parte del clan Nara, obviamente, es inteligente y buen estratega (no hay otro que le venga mejor). Se siente demasiado "normal" en comparación con los ninjas de otros clanes, y como tampoco es muy fuerte, se siente inferior😢 Es adoptado por Tadokoro, que sería del clan Akimichi, pero aunque intentó enseñarle las técnicas, Junta sólo puede usar las de Nara. Eso también lo acomplejaba, más sabiendo que Hajime tiene doble clan, por eso se preocupa mucho por compensarlo.

Hajime es un Yamanaka, pero como es hijo de Tadokoro, también es en parte Akimichi. No es muy bueno con las técnicas del Yamanaka, su fuerte son las del Akimichi (el jutsu multi tamaño le queda perfecto), aunque antes de conocer a Junta no sabía manipular muy bien el chakra, así que logró dominar su primer jutsu gracias a él🥹 después de eso, empiezaron a trabajar juntos.

Hajime generalmente usa la telepat��a para hablar con Junta (esto me venía bien). En el dúo, Junta es quien se encarga de las estrategias. También es quien se encarga de curarlos ya que es ninja médico. A veces usa el jutsu de sombras para sincronizar a Hajime con él y aprovechar su cuerpo y habilidades. De la misma manera, a veces Hajime usa el control de mentes para transferirse a Junta cuando éste llega a su límite.

Se suponía que en este AU iban a ser sólo como hermanos, pero no sé qué pasó y dibujé un beso, así que al final son más ambiguos, como me gustan en general🙈🩷

En fin, amo Naruto, rompería todo y golpearía gente por esta serie👊🏻🔥 de mis más importantes fandoms de toda la vida🧡🧡

I haven't posted my art here in a million years, but I'm working hard to revive the Yowamushi Pedal fandom, or at least find a community of people that love YWPD as much as I do. So I humbly offer this snow sports AU that's been bouncing around in my head for a long time.

Did you know that tandem skiing is an actual thing? Neither did I until I looked it up on a whim to see if two people skiing together was even possible. I definitely think T2 would be into it and the cooperation it takes to ski with two people!

I made Onoda a beginner skier, and here he's in the traditional pose of a beginner stop/slow down, also known as a "pizza" stop.

I thought Imaizumi would fit as one of those slalom skiers that goes really fast and would be aiming for downhill slalom skiing in the Olympics.

Makishima and Naruko I made snowboarders. For Makishima, it was because of the ability to have a unique style that fits just you. As you can see, he also rides goofy (left foot first) which isn't as common as right foot first. For Naruko, I thought that he's the type to have chose to start snowboarding because it seemed "flashiest" and "manly", as I believe most snowboarders are men.

For Manami, I think he'd be the type to do a bunch of terrain parks and double black diamonds (the hardest type of route). In my AU, he skis and snowboards, but he's pictured here with his snowboard. He doesn't look excited because he's not out on the slopes at that very second. The hills are calling his name, but he's stuck at base camp.

Anyway, I hope you liked this. Feel free to talk to me more about this AU; I have so many ideas. I may post another drawing about this AU if I get enough inspiration for more characters. Thanks for listening to me ramble!
