REMEMBERING HARRY UZOKA (frame 1 of 3) I’ve committed myself to a task that is 50% joyous & 50% painful but wholly correct… and yet woefully inadequate. Each month on the anniversary of the passing of my greatest muse Harry Uzoka I share some of his work from my files. I’m glad to start putting some distance between my warm memories of Harry and the cold, hella hard facts surrounding his murder. The trial has been long and difficult. My thoughts and prayers still go out to his inner circle of family and friends. I know the past month was one of the most difficult yet. - I hope the healing waves of Harry’s innate kindness and smile-making laughter keep flowing over you daily, gradually washing away the pile of darkness that began collecting around us all last January. ——- So here is one of the rare images I’ve had in my archives for many years and have never been able to find any credits for. I love the muted colors and the way it captures Harry in his peaceful, contemplative zone. I put the proverbial TuTchT on it and coupled it with the words of the 12th century Jewish Spanish Philosopher Poet Yahuda HaLevi. And it felt right. I’ll never have the power to bring Harry back but I can definitely bring him around. —- You still have a unique formula for smile-making, bro. Thank you again.
