   In the heat of battle, Takumi generally didn’t complain about who fought alongside. If they were pointed at the same enemy, he didn’t have the time to think too hard about the specifics. There were more pressing matters, like keeping himself alive.

But now, he found himself in rather odd company. This woman, was it a woman or a little girl, with an… interesting outfit and horns was dispensing pain just as fast as he was on their enemies. Also, was she balancing a sake dish or was his mind playing tricks on him? He wasn’t one to stare, but he couldn’t help the occasional glance. He told himself he was doing it to ensure that he wouldn’t suddenly be double-crossed.

Soon, the monsters in the area were all dead, leaving just the two of them. A tight quiet settled into the area, and Takumi soon found himself more on edge than he had been fighting the beasts from before. He should say something, right? Or should he just keep to himself? Quickly, he slung the Fujin Yumi over his back and cleared his throat.

    “Uh… Good job.” Hopefully that didn't sound insincere. “What did you say your name was?”

This answer comes easily. Chaldea is a lovely place, but she’s still a Servant to the organization as a whole, so her sense of freedom is limited. Within the walls of Hive City, Gudako and Gudao aren’t her Masters so much as they are her friends; her continued loyalty to them is out of fondness, not obligation.

Besides, without this newfound sense of self, she wouldn’t have been able to fall in love. She’s never received a gift more unexpected and wonderful than this.
