Maybe it's a bit cheesy to think of the man next to you as your soulmate.

Your wishes were modest, to find a man who knew you, who loved you, who would be committed to you. The complexities of these wishes were wide but Younghyun seemed to tick each box. And you always made sure he knew that you loved, cared, committed to him as much as he did to you.

You walk in comfortable silence along the river that runs through the city, hands clasped in each others, your breath condensing as it meets the cool evening air. Younghyun starts humming softly, his golden honey voice filling the silence between the two of you. He looks at you slyly, yet with a nervous glint in his eyes. You let out a soft gasp and glance at him curiously. He lets out a breath and pulls your hand out of his pocket as you clutch the box. He leans down onto one knee and looks up at you and smiles at you lovingly.

hello lovely anon! this was a lot of fun to write as i can see young k being a much more romantic boyfriend than other idols i write for, so this was a fresh breath of air and even a challenge! i hope you enjoy it ^^

confession:

you visited the company building a lot to offer him some support whenever he’s stuck writing lyrics

(despite not knowing anything about music, you graduated with brian at business school)

so brian thought, “why not just confess here?”

he called you over late at night, asking for help

and of course how could you say no to your crush??

after getting ready, you drove over to the jype building and rushed right into the band practice room

to see a trail of confetti (courtesy to jae)

leading up to brian singing “i like you” on his guitar

you accepted his confession with a sparkle in your eye that brian will never forget

and as he hugged you, you mustered up the courage to ask him if he wrote “i like you” while thinking of somebody else

“no.. i definitely wrote that song while thinking of you.”

firsts:

first date

a simple dinner at a nice restaurant!

you were dressed as casually as him, who wore a plain button-up and dark pants,

but he still thought you were gorgeous in your outfit (*'ω'*)

the food was quite delicious, and you two talked about various topics while holding hands the entire time,

only letting go to eat a forkful of your food

when you opened the door, you immediately saw the empty expression on his face, and ran over to give him a comforting hug and kiss

and he just started venting into your ear, not exactly expecting a response from you

and definitely not one with the most promising words and reassuring compliments

3 extra acts of love:

despite loving his job, he sometimes hated certain days and just wanted to go to bed without to anybody. but when he sees the covered up food on the dining room table, prepared by you, his day gets a little bit brighter.

before moving in together, brian bought you one of those gigantic teddy bears for you on valentines day, but because it couldn’t fit anywhere in your new place, it had to be given away :(( but brian bought you a smaller one soon after!

at least half of his song lyrics (not break up related, aka not the “WHO HURT BRIAN?” songs) are about you. you are, without a doubt in his mind, his muse.

It started off slow, when you and him where cuddling in his bed. A few kisses here and there, gradually lead you to a heated make-out session. Younghyun was cupping your face while you had your arms over his shoulders, both of you now sitting on the bed. He was kissing you as if you were the most precious thing in the world - and to him you were. Soon, his tongue was at your lips, asking for your permission, which you granted- how could you deny it anyways? Tongues were dancing, fighting for dominance until you both were out of breath and had to pull away.

You didn't let this escalate into yet another make-out session, instead, you both took off your shirts. He slid it of as he did with the other one and  you turned around to sit with your back facing him so he could unclasp this ever so annoying item of clothing. Day6 Kang Younghyun (Young K, Brian) x Reader + Park Jaehyung (Jae) x Reader Summary: Jae is pretty sure you like Brian. Word Count: <600 Warnings: Major pining, fluff, angst, university au, etc.

Jae has a pick in his mouth. He watches as you fumble with your guitar. Younghyun cackles as you pout and growl at him for messing with your instrument.

Jae knows you like him-- Younghyun. 

You’ve only ever talked to him while practicing with Day6. And since you were only collaborating the entirety of the charity week at your university, this gig would mark your final performance.

Jae snorted as he and the rest of the band warmed up.

Come last performance of this last performance. It was Jae’s favorite song, and so was it yours, apparently. You never really talked about it though, because whenever he would bring it up, or something at all, you’d unenthusiastically reply that you did like the song. There would be awkwardness and you’d scurry off to Younghyun, which would be, like, fine.

Jae got it. You liked Younghyun. Cool. For real.

He’d jump at a chance to get to always talk to his crush-- that is if he HAD a crush at the moment.

But, c’mon, you don’t have to blatantly be cold. I mean you were much warmer to Dowoon. Sungjin. WONPIL! C’mon!

The final strum of the guitars sounded.

You turned to Younghyun, gripping the neck of your guitar as he gives you a thumbs up.

Jae blows air out through his mouth and gets of the stage. Jae’s chatting up with Sungjin about the almost mishap on stage when you come around. You speak up. He minds his own business and puts his guitar away, up until Sungjin taps him on the shoulder. “Ya, can’t you hear? Pipsqeak wants to talk to you bro.”

Jae knits his brows as he turns from him to you.

See? Sungjin has a nickname for you.

Jae sighs.

You meet eye to eye. You can’t hold eye contact though. Jae purses his lips in expectation. 

“Wha--”

“Jaehyu--”

You speak at the same time.

You look like a deer caught in headlights. 

“Sorry, what were you saying?” you pipe up after a brief moment. 

“No, no. You wanted to say something.”

You stutter.

Jae turns away to see his four band mates huddled up together, grinning from ear to ear, thumbs raised.

“I...” you finally speak up. Jae holds an annoyed expression but sighs it off when he turns back to you. “I’m really thankful that I was able to perform with you.”

Jae is no longer annoyed. His lips spread into a smile, “Yeah, me too. You’re a great performer.”

You fidget and blush. Jae can’t help but chuckle.

“You’re better though.”

“If you say so.”

“Actually...” you drag on, “the main reason why I wanted to perform with you is not because you guys are the hottest band on campus... but because I like you.”

Jae blinks and pulls his head back. He repeats what he think he heard, “You like Younghyun?”

You look like you saw a ghost and shake your hands rapidly in disagreement. “NO! NO, NO, NO, NO, NO. I said I-- I-- I like you.”

Jae looks at you for a moment.

He tilts his head to the side and then gets it.

He bursts into laughter.

He gets it.

It’s your way of trying to get close to him now. He grabs his knees as he crouches down in laughter.

By the time he straightens up, you’re beet red.

Jae is weirded out by your reaction, so he cautiously says, “Younghyun...” He trails off, wanting to say that he was the one who put you up to this.

But the watery glaze on your eyes made him think otherwise.

“You’re serious?”

But you don’t reply. You never do. And you might never will. You never showed your face to him again after running away that day.

Day6 as College Boyfriends because im soft and i love them. 

Sungjin: Always in hoodie and sweats, makes sure that you’ve eaten, brings you coffee, hugs you from behind, awkward yet cute dancing at karaoke, shares a foodstagram with you, walks you to the bus stop, calming smiles, Just a really big Protective Teddy Bear™.

Jae: Constant banter, knows when to be serious, clothes are always oversized, says he won't share but always orders the large meal for you both to share, hand holding but don't make it obvious, drapes his body over you when standing in lines.

YoungK: dressed fine af all the time, always has food, questionable if he will share it though, if you can't find him he's probably sleeping, likes to hold your waist, doesn't go to lectures but studies his butt off, over commits to everything but is somehow still laidback.

Wonpil: soft jumpers and sweaters all the time, #1 hype boy, cheek kisses whenever he sees you, smoothie dates, studies with you whenever he can, uses emojis abundantly, absolutely adores couple items, sends you encouraging messages each morning.

Dowoon: when was the last time he washed that shirt? He still be cute tho, flustered always, never PDAs in front of his friends, behind in his study but still gets good grades, subconsciously massages your shoulders if you’re sitting or standing in front of him,

When Jae's brownies is ready, he asked for your opinion—you burst out laughing, looking at his almost burnt brownies.

“What are those? Oh my god, Jae, you disqualified! You can't win over me!” You teased—sticking your tongue out

“Hey, don't judge by its surface! I'm sure it taste good!” Jae blurts out—making his way to your cupcakes, smirks plastered over his face.

“Jae! Don't touch my cupcake icing!” You whine as Jae annoyingly decorate your cupcakes messily with the icing.

“What? I'm just helping you. Now, this is we call art” Jae laugh at your disbelief expression plastered all over your face—feeling proud with his artwork.

As a revenge, you take a handful of flour and pour all over his head as you giggles your way out from the scene—leaving him speechless and laugh in disbelief.

“Wow, babe really...” Jae spoke as brushing off the flour from his hair “Okay, so this is how you wanna play?” Jae said—grabbing a full bag of flour and start chasing you all around the house while throwing the flour at you.

Loud giggles and screaming echos throughout the house as he backhugged you, making both of you fall on the floor—capturing you into his embrace

“Okay okay, I'm sorry” You said between your laugh.

Just when you tried to steady your breath, Jae starts attacking you with kisses all over your face, making you laugh even more

“Jaeeee! Stop it!” You whine.

He lets out a hearty laugh, looking at your expression—as he pressed a quick kiss over your lips

“You're lucky I love you” Jae said.

His words making your lips curled into a wide smile and your heart flutters “Good to know” You said, before sealing your lips against his—making Jae smiling between the kisses.

Such a great weekend, Jae thought.
