So, where would a beach house be?

Just thinking about the 2005 show, Young Blades. d'Artagnan mentions a house on the beach. Where would that be in the 1650s (not that this show cared about historical accuracy, of course)?

For the record, I'm presuming d'Artagnan inherited a Barony from his mom worth 60,000 livre a year (which is what happened to the real son of the nothing-like-the-fictional d'Artagnan), so if you just happen to know 17th century expenses, you can work that in. :)

Seriously, I'm playing with an alternate second season (not using the last ep where they ride off in the sunset, as it were, after chatting with the author), and trying to figure out housing and lifestyles for the various characters (that have very different incomes due to inheritance) and working in what bits of history to take and discard (particularly regarding when the Musketeers are active, when Mazarin dies, and other political points that impact the story), and need a general idea how people of different classes and incomes lived. Though the fic is still based on show, and so reality is a distant second fiddle.

Best way for Ramon and Siroc to discover Jacque's secret?

Just building my own headcanon continuation in this dead fandom. I have ideas for Louis declaring himself his own prime minister and Mazarin's downfall and such.

But I haven't decided when/how Sirco and Ramon should find out Jacques is Jacqueline Roget and wanted for killing a member of the Cardinal's guard (last episode is totally disregarded because of it's structure and ending).

Back in the day, people always had Siroc figure it out because he was the smart one, but canonically, Ramon was the one who noticed odd things and seemed most likely to figure it out, IMO. And, of course, there's a difference in a secret being figured out v. one being found out and I was kinda hoping for some kind of figured out.

Ideas from anyone still following this fandom?
