Everything in this world will try to distract you from knowing how much God truly loves you and cherishes every precious and different thing about you. The world tells us he's not listening, prayers are useless and you are by yourself. Religions teach you have to work hard, do good deeds and live in constant guilt and then God will love you. But I'm here to tell you something that I just realized that you are LOVED. God loves you in a deep, intimate everlasting way; an unconditional love that can't be replicated. He loves the way you smile, the way you snort when you laugh, the way you get excited when your song comes on and all the natural traits and quirks he's given you that make you beautiful. The guilt weight lifted off my chest when I realized I didn't have to work for Gods love but he just loved me and wanted to have a relationship with me because of my faith in Jesus. || To "Unknown" || Spent a good chunk of time today in a local cemetery walking, reading, & thinking. Somber moments. Usually in these times I'd reflect, "What am I living for now? What would I want my gravestone to say?"...but as I passed this headstone the Holy Spirit whispered a more powerful truth (above my, "awe, that is so sad.") "Heidi, He is not unknown to me." God knows each man, or woman, so intricately...for he created us. (Psalm 139:13) No one lives or falls without his knowledge. (Matthew 10:29) This headstone represents many people who feel unseen & unloved. Maybe you have days where you feel this way...I do. But let me be one to tell you, God's heart is for you to know him & for him to not only know you, but to be close to your heart. (James 4:8) This headstone reminded me: my purpose for living is to let the "unknown" know they are loved. There is freedom in Christ that gives security to the soul. Security that says, "I am His."
