turns out scar had actually accidentally killed the first one, but after meeting grian he started crushing a little and also decided some plants would make the bakery interior look nice, so he kept coming back. which.. would explain some of scar's excuses ("well, a toddler poured lemon juice into the pot and the poor thing just couldn't handle it" and "turns out putting one on your beside table right by the alarm clock isn't the best choice of placement" suddenly made a lot more sense as nervous fibs than truths)

anyways after grian "confronts" scar about it they start hanging out more and the pining is just. too much. way too much! it takes like, four of their friends coming together to get the two of them to finally get together ladsgh

But, imagine you're carrying in groceries, your typical paper bags cliche that are a tad bit overflowing, and Paz comes out to help you carry them in.

He noticed the wine and the more expensive looking steak (or meat alternative, or just more expensive food) and you explain to him that you have a date tonight! Its your first one in ages and you're nervous and excited because this guy at your gym has been trying to ask you out for a while but you've been too apprehensive to accept.

Paz is...disappointed, but not surprised because how could he be? It makes perfect sense for his beautiful, adorable, sweet neighbor to have guys all over her.

He stands outside your door, holding two bags of groceries while you put your bags on the counter, he doesn't want to assume he can come inside, he knows how intimidating he looks and the last thing he wants is to make you uncomfortable.

You thank him and give him a smile that lights his heart up, he wishes you luck on your date.

Later, he can smell the food your making and it smells delectable, he can hear the pots and pans clanging about through the thin walls, and he hopes to God he doesn't hear too much in case your date goes...really well. He turns the TV up and tries to ignore the sounds coming from your apartment.

Time passes and you've finished making dinner and gotten ready a little while ago.

...Your date never showed.

You texted him before he was supposed to show up, he never answered.

You called later and had to leave a message.

"Paz?" You call out. He stops and turns to look at you. "Would you like to have dinner with me?"

He wants to ask about your date, but he has a feeling about what happened...

So I haven't read all your fics, honestly only some of them and I have loved literally all of them equally that I cannot choose the best. As a Renjun biased person I am always super crazy about blondes are done with fun and portrait of a blank slate (and they also had the smut tag sksks). Now now idk why am I explaining this but it is necessary I think. So I am someone who prefers to read longer fics with the smut tag among other tags because i am a bit 😈 lol and mainly because if they are completely wholesome (fluffy, angsty, etc) and innocent I get so attached and so delusional, especially because they are fan fics, and I start feeling crazy and am not able to get over easily because they are so pure. Smut personally gives me a sense of detachment and reality and it's a bit comic and hot of course. So yeah this is also one of the reasons I have read only a few fics of yours. But the latest one I read was Liebestraum and GOD OH MY GODDDDDD, idk where to begin, it's been a while, I think I read it last year and it didn't have any smut iirc, I got so so so so so attached, each time I looked at your blog, it reminded me of those long summer days, Jisung lying on the floor, feeling empty, the angst, the longing, the fic felt so real. The ending almost made me cry, and the almost crying feeling is the worst, because you're not able to let out anything but you're not able to keep it in either. It was very bittersweet. And the yearning, the longing for idk what, hurt, hurt so much but hurt so good. I listened to your playlist as well and after that I used to listen to Liebestraum a lot and each time I used to picture all that, the scenes, the feelings, etc. I think I am still not completely over it, to be able to read anything else from your blog. But it felt so painfully good. I really really loved it so much, I felt as if I lived it in real time. It felt like I was there, in the room when Jisung was lying on the floor in his aunt's house, not so fond of the summer break, or when him and y/n went to the beach(?) or when they did fun activities together, I was there with them, it felt so real, I could almost touch them... So yes that's what your writing feels like🥹🌻 (stopping or else I will go on forever) And like people usually hate summers but I like them, I was born during summer break and there is something bittersweet about the summer break, something nostalgic, yk summertime sadness lol, something nothing, something empty, something so full yet so light about it that I love oh so much, and I was able to feel all that through Liebestraum and hence it's special. And now I have come back after months, feeling like I finally moved on somewhat, because I take time with my feelings, to read more from you but it makes me nervous ngl.

Different anon here but inspired by the last anon who was commenting about how your art has helped them: Just wanted to say that in addition to general help easing body image issues, seeing your art and your business grow and thrive has been very inspiring to me as a fat artist myself, because of the knowledge that folks like me can be, and ARE, successful and happy, and doing things they love. There's a looot of narrative pushed out there in the world and in media and such that simply being fat means you're ALREADY an inherent failure/will amount to nothing/etc., and so it's tremendously reassuring to see happy successful fat folks living their best lives, especially (for me) when those folks (like you!) are also artists, since that's my passion in life as well!

Sorry if I worded any of this poorly, I just woke up, but I hope the sentiment comes across and just- yeah, keep being awesome and keep doing you! ^w^

NOW onto the deets!! Sooooo okay they can tell that whenever you're around or mentioned Haley is ✨tense✨. I mean they are profilers! It esp goes down when there's a gathering at the bar after a case. You're there, as you often are (even before you started dating Aaron if you're part of the team) and just generally having a great time sitting with him.

And then Haley enters the same bar. She managed to have Jack handed over to her sister, being encouraged to "get back out there". But what Jessica doesn't know is Haley decided to go to the very same bar she was attending with Aaron with the team years ago. She had heard he was seeing someone, but now she knows he is. And boy... she is not happy.

You're younger than her for a start. Pretty. Real pretty. Definitely more filled out than she ever was, however. And Aaron has his arm around your waist, smiling gently and chuckling at whatever the conversation was being had. No, she didn't want to see him so-

So she decides to saunter into the bar, pretending she hasn't seen any of them as she orders herself a drink. As she takes hold of her drink she walks casually near their table, she knows they've spotted her now. And then she feigns surprise as she lets her eyes wander to the group.

"Oh! I didn't expect to cross paths with you all tonight." She says. The group offer polite greetings to her and she smiles and nods, then her eyes land on you. "Ah... and you are?"

You tell her your name. She watches as Aaron's grip on you tightens a little. She hums.

"I see. Well I'm Haley Brooks, Aaron's ex-wife. I'm sure you know my dearest Jack, yes? I'm his mother." She says smugly as she shakes your hand a little too tightly. You look uncomfortable, she enjoys it. Her eyes drift to Aaron, who's watching her with slightly narrowed eyes. "I didn't expect you to move onto someone so... hmm, how should I put it?"

"Haley." Aaron says. His tone is a warning. Haley narrows her eyes a little.

"I was only going to say they're young, Aaron." God, she enjoyed the discomfort from the way she said his name. You're looking at her with a certain look that suggested you knew she was lying about what she was about to say. No doubt you'd heard it before, she thinks. One of the others at the table clears their throat.

"Ah, you here with anyone tonight?" Emilia(Emily?) asks her. Haley shifts her gaze to the woman with dark hair.

"Mhm no. Just haven't had much time for myself recently." She knows her words sting. Good. You clear your throat and offer a polite smile.

"I don't mind looking after Jack sometimes if you and Jessica need a break. He's always a good kid when he's at his dad's." You offer and Haley breathes out through her nose sharply.

"That's funny, when I spotted you all I thought you probably worked as a babysitter. You certainly look like one."

Before anyone else can speak up, Aaron slams his glass down on the table and stands up, firm and tall.

"Alright, that's enough. I think you should go." He says sternly to her. Haley gasps, wide eyed.

"A-Aaron I-"

"Now."

In a spark of anger, Haley downs her drink in one and slams her own glass down on the table.

"Fine. I'll just have to try to find myself a ride home then." She snaps. She turns to leave, and from behind her she hears possibly Derek say,

"Leave it to us, Hotch. Stay with (Y/n)."

She never did get to see you again.
