Proposed Anomaly Classification for Recovered Object #01039-A, pending approval

SCP-[PENDING] - "Inside Out Hurricane"

Containment Class: Euclid Keter Disruption Class: VLAM EHKI Risk Class: Danger

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-[PENDING] is contained almost entirely within the boundaries of SCP-[PENDING]-A. [PENDING]-A should be kept closed and locked at all times unless otherwise directed by Research Supervisor [Unassigned]. A perimeter is to be maintained around the lot where [PENDING]-A sits at all times by Foundation staff posing as private security. A gated fence no less than 25ft in height should be placed around all entrances to SCP-[PENDING]-A to obstruct view from publicly accessible areas near the site. Description: SCP-[PENDING]-A is a large industrial facility with hangar-style doors at either end as well as 5 smaller staff entrances. The building is approximately 150' by 490' by 35' in volume. Brand markings on the hangar are heavily degraded, but the logo appears to have superficially resembled an unusual crown-like shape composed of four sets of horns, below which is the text "Ekur Industries, est. [indecipherable]" The exterior of the building is otherwise unremarkable. SCP-[PENDING] is an intense storm contained entirely within the interior dimensions of [PENDING]-A. The storm features extraordinary wind speeds and heavy rain that fully obscures vision beyond 2.1 meters, though lightning flashes are occasionally visible through the storm. No recording equipment has been recovered after entering the storm barrier. A specially constructed anemometer anchored from outside the building measured a sustained wind speed of at least 287.4 mph (462.5 km/h, 421.5 ft/s, 128.5 m/s), exceeding the highest reliably recorded non-tornado wind speed on Earth. Gust speeds were recorded up to 422 mph before the device suffered a catastrophic failure, prior to the completion of a 5-minute mean speed test. The maximum structural integrity of the device was designed to withstand wind speeds up to 465 mph. Water samples collected after expulsion from the storm barrier are consistent with that of non-anomalous Earth seawater. A best-fit analysis suggests the water originated somewhere in the north Arabian Sea or the Persian Gulf. The internal dimensions of the storm are unknown but believed to exceed the external dimensions of the building by a considerable margin. A successful method of measuring the scale of the storm has yet to be devised.

Addendum 01039-A.02: An exploratory mission was conducted at Entrance B, one of the staff entrances to SCP-[PENDING]-A located on the southwest exterior wall. Entrance B leads to a raised section of the facility interior presumably used by a site administrator. Much of the accessible area is unremarkable, containing various maintenance equipment and standard water and electrical infrastructure. A door of unusual construction sits at the highest accessible point within Area B. The door is a seamless, dusty tan stone that leaves no gaps around the edges, has no visible handle or opening mechanism, and is featureless apart from an adjacent sign that reads, "IT IS FORBIDDEN." Addendum 01039-A.03: EXPLORATORY LOG FOR AREA B, ██/██/20██ The first sign of something unusual was Research Advisor 2381. As soon as he saw the warning sign outside the stone door, he stopped dead and pointed at it. Various maps and texts pinned to the walls. Some old artifacts. Very old statuettes and things. Normal looking desk with a lot of papers on it. There's a large viewing window overlooking the storm. Can't see a fucking thing through it, of course. Can't hear it either, though, so the glass is VERY solid. Soundproofed somehow." 2381: "Map on the wall shows ... Middle East, but it's not modern. It LOOKS like it was taken from a satellite, but there's ... it's like civilization hasn't happened yet. There's almost no cities on here at all, and I don't recognize any of the names. Might need to bring in [REDACTED] from Site-██, she has a background in Assyriology." 1670: "What is that thing MADE of? Looks like leather." 2381: "Very old leather. Sheep skin, maybe? God I hope it's sheep." 1670: "Desk is covered in old writing. Paper is all falling apart old. There's a tablet, too." 0983: "Is it on?" 1670: "Uh, not that kind of tablet, sir. Some kind of clay or stone. There's writing on it, but ... it's weird." 2607: "CLICK." 0983: "What was that?" 1670: "It's ... I can read it." 2607: "Clicks, sir. Something on the Kant counter." 1670: "I don't even know what LANGUAGE this is." 2381: "I'd guess Sumerian, based on this map. If not older." 0983: "What are you reading, [2607]? 1670: "'You who would come so far, for what do you come?'" 2607: "It's coming from the statue, I think." [several audible pops from the Kant counter] 2301: "Statue ... plaque under it says ... 'The Founder, N. Lil'?" 1670: "'For what do you invoke my name? This place is not your place, our purpose is not your purpose...'" 0983: "[1670], stop reading that right now!" [popping sounds increase in frequency and volume] 1670: "'Petulant children of Amar-Utuk, things of clay and breath, by what right do you seek the unseekable, upon whose honor do you hope to know the unknowable?'" 2607: "Sir... this thing is reading something big." 0983: "I am ORDERING you to stop. Everyone out of the room, NOW. If he keeps reading it, shoot him. He's lost." 2301: "N. Lil. Where have I heard that before?" 1670: "'As I separated the sky and the firmament-'" [multiple gunshots] 1670: "-as I separated the earth from the waters, so shall my winds separate the waters from clay. This domain is not your domain, for all domains by rights are mine alone to rule. You have come too far, and you shall trespass no further." [Kant counter emits a near constant pitch until the sound of glass shattering can be heard, and the storm overtakes the room instantly. The remainder of the audio recording is 10.3 seconds of wind, rain, and thunder before the transmission abruptly ends.]

Addendum 01039-A.04: All members of Exploratory Mission 01039-B are presumed deceased. The exterior of SCP-[PENDING]-A seems to have contained the storm and prevented further breach. Entrance B has been welded shut and all pending exploratory missions are terminated until further notice. Precisely 24 hours after the mission was terminated, a Kant counter was found outside the welded door to Area B. After drying and data recovery, it is believed to be the Kant counter used by EM 01039-B. The final recording logged by the counter showed Akiva radiation and Hume distortion consistent with an Apex tier pluripotent entity. The mechanism by which the entity is contained by [PENDING]-A is unknown. Additional research funding has been requested.

Heya! I really adore your Post Modern Olympus AU despite not being too familiar with Greek mythology, but the little character sheets you're making for each of the gods are simply brilliant and I find them to be so very charming and incredibly well thought through! Your gorgeous artworks are definitely leaving me intrigued! Which makes me wonder, if you have ever thought about it, what would your version of Prometheus be like in your AU? Would he be relevant at all? Or would nothing really change about his original self? ☺️

Thanks so much! I honestly didn't expect to dive into reinterpreting the Greco-Roman Pantheon as much as I have, but it has been fun. The way I have it laid out for what's next, it's Persephone, Hades, Leto, Hestia and 'conclude' the roster with Zeus and Poseidon, but knowing there are a few favourites outside the main 12 Olympians (Hecate) and I am technically including the Underworld gods in the roster, I could do one or two exceptions (not all of them obviously - even Hesiod's Theogony names only 50 of the thousands of nymphs in greek mythos).

Off the top of my head (by which I mean after reading a few academic texts over the last few months), Prometheus to me would be more of an anthropomorphic aspect of larger nature, since most Titans were born from larger concepts before getting godly specific (e.g Gaia (Earth) > Cronus (Time, Agriculture, Generations) > Zeus (Thunder & Lightning, Law & Order, Family & Hospitality). There's also the definition of Titan as 'earth born' which references to chthonic ("beneath the earth"). Since Prometheus is most famous for his creation of humanity out of clay, and giving man fire for which he is punished by being tied to a mountain and having his liver eaten by an eagle every day, I imagine him to be a huge homunculus humanoid made of out a red clay cliffside. Maybe he made humanity out of his own flesh, hence why he is fond of them, clay is also easily mouldable - he can remould his liver back in place and heal, and since clay is hardened in fire the symbolism of his setting his fate solid by betraying the gods and giving this gift away that he knows he'll be punished for is very good. Also maybe his form is formed into a coastal cliffside, where more-so seabirds as well as eagles peck at his body and maybe even nest in there; there are also links to Prometheus and the Babylonian ocean/water god Enki - he created humans out of clay and cared deeply for them too. But then again, it's just how I see it and it's subject to change the more I research. Prometheus may be made, maybe he won't - I'm happy to see other people have their interpretations. :)

His soul was that of the tormented, but when he was with you, the burden was so much easier to bear. He found friendship in you, clicking together like you were always meant to meet. But, Ragnvaldr finds himself waiting for the next boot to drop. For you to be taken from him, too. The idea his terrifying. He can't lose the last good thing in his life. Enki was always someone who had a tough exterior but always had a weakness for cute things. protecting was something he took on as a way of life and protected them always in the confines of the law but this time it went way past that. A prisoner was getting far too touchy with you, but in situations like this you're trained to keep calm and access the patient because one small twitch in your face of discomfort or disgust could get you killed. But oddly enough that day when your discomfort leaked out for just a second the prisoners body was thrown across the room by a man you knew all to well.

That day was pure chaos for everyone in Nanba prison be it a gaurd or prisoner, as the once well respected gaurd and brother to one was locked away with only two people that could visit him. The first, was the warden, for obvious reasons and the second was you, for reasons that weren’t clear at all the the others. The prison gave you time off for about three months to get your mental health together after seeing someone be killed in front of you but the death wasn’t what scared you so much, it was the impregnable strength that Enki had and if you were ever alone with him you don’t know what you would do.

So that now brings us to the question of why three months later you’re sitting down in a chair across from a chained up ex-gaurd who’s staring at you with joy.

“What brought you here deary” deary was the nickname he gave you (out of spite) because it was from one of the shows you forced him to watch and he actually (begrudgingly) liked it. “Obviously you. So do you reflect on your actions that day” he cocked his head to the side in thought then laughed “not at all” I clenched my pen while writting down his responses. “Please keep in mind your awnsers are recorded word by word” he nodded “I know how this works I’ve watched you for a long time” the hairs on my neck stood up as my past choices on letting people sit in on my sessions was now coming to my attention thay it was a really bad idea. He knows to look me in my eye to seem confident and he knows i hate eye contact, I can’t read him like this.

I look around the room only to find some fabric lying in a corner as I grab a good amount and rip it from the source and walk slowly up to Enki “your not going to kill me right” his neck chain jostled as he jumped up putting his hand out in the air defyingly. “No! I would never kill you I need you!” I don’t like the way he phrased that but I’ll ignore it for now. I quicked my pace and placed the fabric over his eyes but hovered for a moment and stared into them getting lost in his sharp black eyes that were piercing my soul. “Why did you kill him that day, you ruined your whole career over a petty issue” as enkis smile dropped I immediately tried to turn back to get out of his grabbing range but didn’t even get to make a step as he gripped my waist yanking me down onto the cold stone shoving my face into it as he saddled my lower back.

“I did it all for you, I won’t let another man touch you like that and make you feel bad” his mouth was right next to my ear as his last free hand went under my shirt and slid up my spine making me shiver. “YOUR DOING THE EXACT SAME THING” I struggled to move but I knew it wasn’t going to do anything, not against this giant. “No that’s the difference between me and that guy, I already own you and you own me” the longer his hand slid through my back the more I felt something poking me as my heart dropped when I heard the unbuckling of his pants. “So take it for me, don’t resist because I’m not going to let you go not now or ever.” He flipped me over as Tera’s started to prick my eyes “the warden won’t come for you, she doesn’t even know your here the only one that do know are me and my helpful little brother so stop looking for hope” he smiled genuinely as he leaned down connecting our lips in a rough and unwanted kiss.

You might have been late to the party, but neither was taken! I'm sorry for taking so long to get this out to you but I hope you'll enjoy the headcanons and the soulmate AU! I came up with!

Okay, so in the soulmate AU I have set up, the way it works with soulmates is that every day since the day you're born, you get some kind of clue as to your soulmate's identity, location, personality, or interests. These clues can come in dreams, in noises or sounds only you hear, in quick flashes of visions, in the sudden urge to do something…really, there's a wide range of ways these clues come is the point I'm getting at.

While the existence of soulmates and the way they work are widely known and accepted in this universe, the truth is that during childhood, a lot of kids don't really take the idea of soulmates really seriously. They're not yet at the phase where finding their other half or the very notion of romance really matters much to them and you're not really all that different. For most of your childhood, it's more along the lines of having an imaginary friend that you learn more and more about each day.

You grow up getting hints of mountains, little bits of Samon's laugh, the image sometimes of Enki or Mao or such. You get the urge to train often, and throughout a lot of these urges, dreams, and other hints, you learn martial arts right alongside Samon throughout your childhood.

Samon, meanwhile, grows up with the same hints - vague landscapes, sounds of your laughter or your voice here or there, dreams about people you're close with, the urge to do or learn about the things you're passionate about but he really doesn't understand it at all and writes it off to his head playing tricks on him. Growing up secluded like he has in the mountains, throughout all of his childhood, he never really learns about the existence or purpose of soulmates. That's not something that he really even hears tell of or learns about until he's almost an adult and has moved into society itself.

It's at that point that he tries to recall any of those clues from his childhood but unlike you, he hadn't known their importance and a lot of those clues had been buried deep in his mind or quickly forgotten about and he remembers next to none of it, something that frustrates him deeply at times. He feels kind of like he'll always be missing his other half, that the opportunity might have already passed by, especially given the life he's built for himself as a prison guard, a life that comes with strict responsibilities and little time to actually live a life outside of training, working, and growing as a person. He devotes himself to his job and his family, even as each day he gets little hints about your existence.

It's a good thing, honestly, that as you grew into an adult, you began to take the importance of your soulmate seriously. Once you were grown, out of school, and independant, you worked hard, yes, but you also made it your mission in life to find that soulmate of yours. You analyzed and kept track of each day's new clue, trying to put together a picture of who your soulmate was as a person, what they might look like, what they sound like, what the people in their lives look like, where they might possibly be at any given moment.

However, despite how hard you worked at it, you never could seem to figure it out, not completely. It wasn't until one day, as a full grown adult, that the clue came that you needed to really catch that break. It was just one word, echoing in your head, spoken in Samon's voice.

Nanba.

Such a distinctive word, but one you didn't recognize right away. After all, why should you? But thank god Google exists, because you put it to great use. You quickly figured out that Nanba was the name of a prison and you remained sure, day after day, that Nanba prison was where your soulmate was at that point and where they continued to be. As guard or prisoner, you did not know.

Multiple telephone calls, gathering intelligence from other channels, doing everything you could and you came to realize that knowing that Samon was at Nanba Prison really didn't help anything. The restrictions for visitors were extreme and you could never get clearance to go visit, especially since you didn't know exactly who you wanted to visit, since the clues had never actually given you Samon's name, though it had once given Samon yours.

Did that stop you though? Fuck no. You trained harder, learned new skills, worked as hard as you could. You visited places you shouldn't be, talked to people you would rather never have met until you learned the name of at least one prisoner being kept at Nanba Prison. It was then that your request for visitation was accepted and you booked your flight and then boarded the boat to the island Nanba is located on.

Once inside was where you really put those skills to use. I'm imagining this happening really around the time of the Enki breakout and Samon's big arc, so I'm seeing you using all this craziness happening as a good diversion to give the guards who had come to meet the boat the slip.

Once inside Nanba, it became a game, a really crazy and insanely hard game, but a game nonetheless. Hide and seek, with the guards the seekers you were trying to evade as you tried to find your soulmate, hoping and praying that the flash of the day's clue would come at any moment.

Anyway, after a lot of fun and hijinks and some really angsty moments and hard battles, I do see you finally stumbling across Samon. There's, of course, some more angst because the man looks so rough and he's so badly hurt and beaten and you are so angry at that. Not that he looks rough - he's the most beautiful thing to you, even as he stares at you with his jaw hanging open, not quite believing that you really exist and that he's actually gotten the chance to meet you, even if it's right before he's sure he's going to die. You're pissed because he's in danger.

Of course, given that the impossible has now happened in Samon's mind, given that he's finally found his soulmate and the two of you have this instant, really sweet and almost heart-breakingly beautiful moment of just pure connection with each other, Samon's not going to just go out and put his life on the line. Not anymore. He's going to do anything and everything he can to ensure the both of you make it out of this situation alive and well…he'll fill you in on the specifics of what's happening later, he assures you. And it's a promise he does keep.

his patience was weighing; all enki could register was the excitable rambling nonsense of the child proclaiming to be his brother was spewing.

finally he stated firmly. "samon." and it immediately shut the child up looking at him. "if you want to train and become like me, walk two miles through the forest then back here." he looked into the large intimidating green of the forest and whined.

"awwww that's no fun!"

"then you will never be like me."

that struck an emotional nerve as he went wide eyed, almost teary eyed before shaking it off with a determined expression. "i'll become you faster then you became yourself aniki!"

"that makes no sense."

not listening to him the boy ran into the forest, the rustling fading until it was silent. enki sighing in relief, the panda to his side shaking it's head in disapproval as he went back meditating.

the metalic 'snap' of a trap caught his ears as he looked to his right, his panda was unharmed. the snap was further away anyways in...the forest.

he sighed getting up and walking in, that damn kid got himself into something dangerous, how annoying.

he walked a little faster, deeper into the woods looking left and right, how big was this place again? why did that even matter though? he was likely fine...likely...

he ran jumping over tree roots, leaping onto branches when the ground was too irritable for his bare feet, harshly landing in an opening.

"SAMON!"

"what?!"

enki almost fell back as samon popped out of the bush, panting lightly as the younger looked more confused and slightly annoyed.

"i thought you- you're-"

"-not done yet i know." he grumbled, coming out of it with a beartrap latched onto his tail. "but this stupid thing won't let me go!" he exclaimed shaking his tail growling, only to smack the metal trap on his forehead making him screech in anger.

a beartrap he thought, out here, so far away from him. if it didn't latch onto his tail he could've...

samon plopped on the ground panting, long enough for enki to lean down and pry the trap off his tail. sitting up samon quickly examined his tail, smiling as he stood up. "thanks aniki! i'll go fini-"

"no." the younger faltered at the sudden response, his pose drooping. "what?"

"we're...going to take a break." he stated, walking with the trap in his grasp. "come. lets replenish ourselves." at the comment of snacks samon quickly perked up following suite.

unbeknownst later during his snacking of the elder's absence back into the forest, and the brown bag he took coming out full with metallic clanking inside

hihi! thank you for giving me an excuse to talk abt the uni2 arcade stuff hehe <:3 everyone's being hush hush abt it for the first month (understandable) but ive been itchingggg to talk about it! sorry for this response taking a day or two a big update for arcaea dropped when uni2 dropped and i was super occupied with that. uni2 spoiler under the cut obviously so youve been warned of the spoiler boogeyman okay? okay!!!!

i'm just gonna talk about the arcade routes that really interested me which is just codeword for amnesia and a select few Sorry to any orie fans or carmine fans or anyone i don't mention here (though carmine becoming a rebirth was interesting)

ENKIDU:

first things first. i wont lie i meowed at the screen when i saw enkidu got long hair in the ending cg. i already like enkidu for obvious reasons (he's hot and my type. most normal comphet videogame crush.) but then give him long hair and i'm like bouncing up and down my chair squealing and crying and throwing up!!!!! damn you yoshihara!!!! (shaking my fists)

the arcade route itself however seemed to imply and bring up a lot of interesting things about his power. they seem to hint at the power deep inside him is not even related to anything in the under night lore at all and its just his OWN thing he's dealing with which is really really cool to think about but since he's a lesser popular side character we will probably never get a satisfactory elaboration on it. great! i saw the person who's uploaded all the arcade modes say that the "demon" he addresses could have been inside of him from day one and is not something related to exs and in-birth turning and is not an inverse version of him, and i think that's a really cool working theory, also re-contextualizes the whole "body being so strong voids can barely pierce it" because voidlike exs cant fit in there if you have like, A Literal Fucking Demon inside of you. really taking advantage of the clear kouma expy... the demon inside of him takes over him very obviously in the ending which :( enki...i could save him...enkidu's story (at least in chronicle mode) has always had this underlying tone of depression but also being the stoic and less emotional fronting Martial Artist Fighting Game Character he has some form of uncertainty of dealing with those emotions beyond the art of fighting (insert the autistic individual enkidu picture here.) in uni2 arcade though he expresses the fact that he can't let the world end even if it is so tainted, albeit for his own answers, but he has a very genuine approach to the fate of kanzakai...i like to think he was starting to truly enjoy being apart of the world ever since the unib shenanigans started and gordeau's ending clearly shows that he does genuinely like being around amnesia and is a tease about it. deep down i think he really cares about the "tainted world" though his stoic disposition doesn't allow him to emote that well and thats just pure old man moe and i need more of it. but man the fact that he turns into a warded off demon to continue to live in that world is cruel irony...but a very interesting way to show his (presumable) development. fpan please for the love of god just give us that chronicle mode patch i need more of him you're implying so much cool shit emotionally and physically about him but RESTRICTING IT TO ARCADE ROUTES GRAHHH

half of this might just be insane delusioned interpretations but what am i if not tumblr user gaienenkidou, master enkidu scholar! tldr it was in an unexpected angle but also REALLY cool to muse about. i expected fpan to neglect any development for him in the first place but i came out with more answers and questions about him so for an enkidu liker like myself i'm pleased. could be better but pleased. At least out of the suffering he got a for realsies command grab move. now the next question is will 66c be fun again

KAGUYA:

don't have a whole essay about miss jinguu like enkidu thank god but when uni2 announcements dropped i was so fucking fixated on kaguya i am INCREDIBLY happy they made her playable finally, i imagine she's been in spriting development hell since she's had a shitton of placeholders from what i remember. the tsurugi pick is cool too but KAGUYA!!!!! I LOVE HIME CUT GIRLS WITH BIG BOOBS!!!!

her ending cg makes me feel a lot of emotions particularly about being attracted to women. she's so pretty. i'm incredibly interested in where she'll go from here since they scrapped her being from a wealthy family and being the ditzy sheltered rich girl to being an orphan with a dark past just posing as that exact trope. implications of her effect on licht kreis lore particularly silvaria are also cool to think about because licht kreis lore goes from really interesting to soul crushingly boring sometimes. her creepy loner girl to hime pipeline...she's perfect to me. love you kaguya mwah GORDEAU:

when i saw the description on a video of gordeau's arcade mode say he secured the good ending i was expecting something bittersweet BUT I WASN'T EXPECTING ROGER TO COME BACK EVEN THOUGH I FELT LIKE I SHOULD :') i think thats because i was expecting some sort of narrative where gordeau learns to kinda let go of it and just chill out with amnesia because i mean they're his homies too. thought he would have an arc in his arcade based on that but i think the indomitable and selfless spirit angle leading to him getting roger back is also pretty decent as well! no complaints. i wonder if theyre implying roger could be playable in the future but unlike ogre mmmm ehhh there's better npcs that deserve that first and roger isn't really striking, he always struck me as the guy there for a narrative purpose for gordeau (and amnesia.) his design is cool but less remarkable than like...londrekia when he was just a chronicles mode guy or azel/mercedes or uzuki when she was an arcade exclusive talk sprite. we'll see! :D

HILDA: don't have a lot to say cuz yeah that's about what i expected but She deserves it in my opinion hell yeah girl. really cool of them to use the insect ideas from ageha-chou (sorry i'm not saying the whole scientific name i'll malfunction) in her rebirth design. i want to touch her feelers.... CHAOS:

not a bunch to say again but thank you chaos for being the guy consistently advancing the lore and any terminology yet again sir yes sir oorah

BYAKUYA/STRIX:

yuri lives on...kind of really anticlimatic and i feel like there should've been more buildup but it just kind of happens...? but it might be just because the way uni tells story through arcade mode makes it feel. using sprites to tell the story like mbtl would've REALLLLY helped here, uni2 is already built off of mbtl's version of their engine lolol. nonetheless i am happy for strix. seems they kinda soft deconfirmed the idea of them not being playable since byakuya broke both their vessels so they can just be regular people again but WHO KNOWS ANYMORE since ogre is back anything can go at this point

a lot of my thoughts funnily enough aren't completely abt uni2 though. ive never been the biggest fan of byakuya and even now i'm pretty flatly neutral to him but brushing up on his chronicle mode before uni2 dropped man. i just feel bad for him. he deserves friends and something else to be around other than his sister and fragments of her. hes like only in junior high he should be making a school festival with people and enrolling in clubs. his mia status in uni2 just makes it worse. give him a break jesus christ

MERKAVA:

already a fan of merkava's void design but.........oh my god he's so pretty for no reason? what the fuck? they could've easily fumbled a human merkava and making him somehow less cooler and appealing than the obviously more interesting void design but i like human merk. still a bit inferior to typical merk though.

MIKA:

love and peace and happiness. mika so cute. not really much i have to say for her but i main her with enkidu so i didn't want to not mention her. she's my baby

WALDSTEIN: AND JUST LET HIM FUCKING DIE!!@?!@?>!@?> i mean its EXPECTED but what the fuck i was a waldstein shooter. do you know how many people actually LIKE WALDSTEIN. you can count it on one hand INCLUDING ME. i wanted more of himmmm out of everyone he deserved a slice of life ending. impactful nonetheless though. i am in fact a big fan of the oddly attractive (subjective) grandpa. ending cg is adorable but jesus adelheid is smaller than i expected and that's while being aware that she's gonna naturally look smaller beside wald.

LONDREKIA:

i do...not have a lot to say on londrekia's story to be honest except the ending was really fucking dorky in a cute way. really i just wanted this section so i can say hes so stupid and moe and i like him. i really warmed up to him over the course of seven years. i used to be so neutral towards his existence when not paired with merk but nowadays he's one of my favorites. i often do not like anime white boys but he is SO SO SO COMICALLY WHITE that it's charming. i think him becoming playable aided in that though because oh my god. oh my god. he's such a loser and i want to playfully tease him for it

uhh i think that's all my thoughts? oh wait yeah phonana mentioned. ok now im done. sorry for the 3 page long analysis as a uni fan its second nature to take their microscopic small implications and go crazy over the crumbs when it comes to the story. gameplay still looks peak as hell though would expect no less from fpan. excited to get the game soon :3

They talk Characters: John, Gordon, Virgil Why I like it: There's a catharsis to this one, and a meditation that I adore. Meanwhile, I feel like I succeeded at channeling John in way that may not be everyone's cup of tea, but captures one aspect of how he speaks to me. His art is his science, and I am quite proud of the prose in this one.

Directionless - Oneshot

Summary: Two Tracy's and a Lighthouse: "You actually want to avoid lighthouses," Gordon tells him. "The light's a warning that there's land nearby and not to come too close." "Hmm. Still. I imagine if one is lost at sea any light on the horizon, even a warning light, is a welcome symbol of hope, of change to come." He breathes the smell of sea salt. "Are you?" "Am I what?"  "Lost at sea?" Characters: Gordon, Virgil Why I like it: I feel strongly about the message in this fic and Gordon's struggle to figure out what's next, and I so love Virgil's presence to ground him amidst his thoughts. The light house was a lovely metaphor for the bonds I wanted to portray, and this story just feels like a warm hug when I read it.

Hold Fast* - Multi-Chap

Summary: Autumn, 1775. “The rigging ran through his blood; it was an energy, a lifeforce.” Characters: Gordon, Virgil, Scott, John, Alan, OCs Why I like it: It just felt right, despite being an AU. And though it's nothing I've ever read before, the heart of it very much is Thunderbirds. This is Gordon's hydrofoil story, just under the lens of the privateers AU. It was my first full exploration of adding depth to OCs. It also was posted weekly, which was a challenge for me that I actually succeeded in. And most of all... this story absolutely wrecked me. The feelings are raw, and very visceral.

The great wide open* - Multi-Chap

Summary: Gordon binds himself in the blue and meets the eyes of a dolphin trying to reach him in ways he can't understand. But maybe Virgil can. A prequel to "lend me the courage of the stars." Kermadec AU-djacent. Characters: Gordon, Virgil Why I like it: If you're going to go for an AU that's not too out of the box, choose this one. I enjoy that I've gotten to explore science Gordon in a way that feels right for him (to me anyway). I always see him as more hands on, but entirely competent, and with this series it's his oceanic soul that allows him to explore his brand of science with the calls of his heart. Enki and his family was a joy to discover, and I would be remiss not to include them in this list.

Tracy Seaside Orchard and Farm* - Multi-Chap

Summary: An alternate universe. Gordon has a successful farm... and seems to have nothing to do with this International Rescue thing. Characters: Gordon, Virgil, OCs Why I like it: The beginning of chicken!Dad which has since become almost synonymous with me as a person. That and ships (I have no chickens nor have I sailed). But I also like that this story feels unique and that I had the honor to explore who Gordon would be under different circumstances. I feel like I successfully wrote an argument - a horrible one - and still managed to show that no one was in the wrong or the right. I'm proud of how tender the boys' reconciliation feels, and I hope this story feels genuine and organic and compassionate.

In summary, the ones I am most proud of are the ones that allow me to play with imagery and poetic prose, that allow me to explore the bonds of brotherhood and human nature, and that feel a little different despite also being as Tracy as it gets.

Déjà vu in Unworldly Encounter

Do you believe that all lights in the sky are STARS and that your FATE is written in them?

"You're not actually going to that world on your own, are you? You do know that ever since you left the Dai Gurren fleet, you can't just go into other worlds on a whim."

"So what? I have my way to get there. It's not often I hear you concerned about me."

"Knowing how reckless you are, I doubt you'll even get there safely. I doubt that your immortal ass can save you from that."

"Sure, mom. Do you really need to sound like Lala? I know what I'm fucking doing. It's not like I'd go there without a reason anyway."

"With those reasons you told me, they don't convince me enough to let you go on your own. Do you really have to do this anyway?"

A few days passed. The beastman, in his mech Enki, managed to reach his destination. Though it may not be the exact location he expected to land on, ending up in what seems to be a mysterious forest.

"Damn. This is one creepy-ass forest. I should probably adjust the coordinates next time. Anyway, what's with the damn are-"

"You smell strange. Not from here."

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" The beastman was startled when that boy suddenly appeared from the bushes. Perhaps he didn't expect anyone in this forest? "Sure. I smell strange and I ain't from here! Thanks, young Captain Obvious!" Of course, there was sarcasm in his tone.

"Fuck? Captain?"

"Kid, that sounds weirder if you word them like that." At least that gave him a hint that the boy struggles with vocabulary. "Whatever. I'm guessing you live here, even though this whole forest smells like there were rabid dogs around here."

"This forest where wolves live. I live with them. They're my lupical." Due to how he struggled with his words, it was difficult to tell whether he was offended or was just explaining things.

"Lu-what now? Sounds like you're the same as that guy in old fairy tale books, except he grew up with monkeys instead of wolves." It even made him wonder if the wolves in this world were like those in his homeworld. "I gotta say that story was ape shit."

"Ape... shit? What's that?"

"Oh, it has lots of meanings. If you really wanna know, you gotta tell me first where the fuck we are and maybe what's going on around here."

"Okay. You don't smell like bad person. I help." He didn't actually trust the beastman that easily though, right? "Are those claws? So big. You must be strong too."

"Yeah, these are real big-ass claws- hey." He got interrupted when the boy seemed to be inspecting his clawed hands.

"Really? Not seen people with claws before. Wish I had big claws too."

"Wow, kid. You must be into big claws, huh? Can't say if you'll have them when you grow up. Enough of that for now though. You still need to tell me where we are... wait, do you even have a name?"

"I am Razor. This forest is Wolvendom. Wolf family lives here. Not too far from city."

"That's some lazy-ass name to call this place. Also, I bet you have siblings named Blade and Scalpel. Well, it's not like my name's any better. Anyway, you can just call me Viral."

"Oh, Viral. Nice to meet you. Do you hunt too?"

"Heh. You're asking me if I hunt? With these damn claws, I do. Not a single prey can get away with these." That may be an exaggeration though, for the inescapable part. "You know what, you got me in a good mood now. So how about after showing me around, I'll teach you some moves I know?"

"Really? I work hard then. Want to learn from you."

"You mean it, General? I'll work hard for the crew then. I'd also like to learn more from you."

"What the fuck was that?" That voice he heard for a moment wasn't from this boy. It felt familiar, yet he couldn't recall who it was. Was he mishearing things then? Shrugging off what he thought was just his imagination, Viral looked back to the wolf boy.

"Damn, you're easy to convince. We might as well need to work on that too. Anyway, don't tell anyone about me being here either. Got that, Razor? Otherwise, we'll both get in trouble."

"Okay. I won't tell."

"Good. Now that it's settled, lead the way around here. After that, we start our little training."

I'll add my experiences (as someone who also loses interest easily if I get frustrated). Most of it will be pretty basic/near the start of the game:

1. If you're the kind of person who doesn't mind spoilers, watch some videos about the game. Some of them will describe strategies etc.

2. Keep a tab open to the wiki page on statuses. This alone makes the game less frustrating, in my opinion, since you can work out if it's worth continuing or not much more easily, and how to fix things if you can. Same for specific enemies if they're annoying you.

3. There's a safe room near the start if you go through the side entrance. It has a statue of a woman with a crow in it. You can sleep there once without flipping a coin. You can also sleep for free if every enemy in the area is dead.

4. The side entrance is much easier than the main entrance (no guards, the easy to avoid manebas), and you can get a good few blue and green herbs there.

5. Once you have a good save (full health, no limbs missing, etc.), experiment as much as possible and take all the options you were unsure about. You can always go back if things go wrong and you'll learn a lot.

6. Most enemies aren't worth fighting unless you have good weapons and really want to get rid of them, or they have a specific item you want. It's almost always better to run. Most items you can get will be from looting anyway. Especially don't bother to try fighting the dogs at the start.

7. Most enemies will have a prompt before they do a "coin flip" attack (e.g. "the guard takes a step closer"). A lot of these can be fully avoided without a coin flip if you guard the next turn.

8. If you have the girl and her dagger (you can find it in the courtyard), tell her to go for the head in combat. It doesn't have much health, so if you're lucky enough to hit it, it'll usually take the enemy down.

9. There is a door with a symbol on it in the courtyard or near the main entrance. If you get through it (using the purifying talisman usually dropped by the chanting preists or counter magic with Enki) inside is a table for unlocking a skill tree or cursing weapons to make them stronger. The girls dagger is a good option for cursing if you aren't going for her ending, it's cheap and makes her much stronger.

10. The crow mauler spawns if you get to the mines or thicket ("A terrifying presence has entered the room") he'll despawn if you leave the room and come back. Don't bother trying to fight him if you don't have a recent save. He's usually not too hard to avoid.

11. You can play Termina (the sequel) first if you want. It's overall a less frustrating experience (saving is easier and generally safe, combat gives rewards, goals are clearer, hunger is much easier to manage), and barely spoils the first game at all (one or two things in books are spoilery).

What inspired you to write Kingu?

It might be funny, but the main inspiration for Kingu was my therapist) when I thought of a man that gives me a feeling of confidence, that can raise me up in moments of need and at the same time be his own strong and independent person, I've realized that he has to be a very wholesome and grown-up person. So I discussed this type of character with my therapist and... here we go)

Speaking of Kingu, do you know yet when the bug on Kingu's route from the August update will be fixed?

I was really hoping that it'll be fixed in a matter of days, but alas, the team decided to move it to the next update.

What do you like most about each love interest in FTF?  

This is a difficult one, so Kingu is like my therapist: comforting and understanding. Niall has these protective vibes, which can be annoying, but at the same time feeling safe is awesome. Iyar is fun to be with and it's amazing to dive into the depths of his soul to find a lot of hidden things. Su is tender and although she tries to pose as a strict mommy, she's basically very in need for love and when she opens up to you it's a whole new world to explore.

What are the zodiac signs of the other 3 LI's and Nikkal's?

Will we be able to get more clarification from Kingu about why he called Nikkal as Ningal? Or was his whole explanation about this topic in the last update?

You'll see the backstory and the trauma it left. But they're still due to a talk, yes.

How long ago did Ningal die and how much does Kingu miss her now? Is a that a guilt over what happened to her haunts him still or does he still have feelings for her?

She died about half a century ago. He still misses her, but it's more of a guilt that he cannot let go of. Losing someone is not something new for him, but being the main reason for it is tough for him. As a strong mage and smart person, he was always able to protect the people he loved... till that time. So the question that Nikki asked in the Hubur cave «The way you protected Ningal?» was like a knife in his throat, though she didn't know it and just showed her immature attitude.

FTF is very different from your previous two stories. What was your inspiration for it? 

I was inspired a lot by the Epic of Gilgamesh, but actually writing a high fantasy story was the dream of my life. Having your MC flying around and casting fireballs and having a deep emotional arc at the same time is better than cakes for me :D

Will we see Niall's mother in a flashback? 

We might. She had a big part in him meeting Nikki, so it would be logical to show her.

How long did Niall serve as a general of Enki?

For about 70-80 years, but most of that time he spent outside of the real battles. His initial role was as a builder and keeper of academy, which at that time served a slightly different purpose from the modern one.

What's Niall's favourite colour?

Blue.

Who is your favorite LI in FTF? 

Namtar :D being serious, I don't have a favorite one. Each one of them is a complex and interesting character alas, and I still didn't choose the best one.

How did you come up with each character design in FTF?

Me and my tech designer were thinking that RC needed something new and we should come up with experiment. I'm an anime fan and I wanted us to incline to that side of animation, with vivid colors and impractical clothes and COLORED HAIR sorry :DD we were ready for this experiment to fail (which it did at first), but I'm glad to see more people enjoying it now.

Is Nikkal the reincarnation of Ningal?

Sumerians didn't really believe in reincarnations, so I don't as well. In this story, at least.

Is it hard to think like Kingu, such a powerful and a very old mage, when you're writing about him.. do you like to deep-dive into his head and how he views the world?

When I write his scenes, I try to look at everything as someone who's not triggered. Sometimes I have to discuss these scenes with my therapist so she could give me a view of a grown-up soul. When I don't have a possibility to talk to her, I think of three points: care, freedom and growth. How can I show that he cares, that he loves, but respects and gives freedom of choice at the same time and how can he help her grow at this thing? I's not easy, but I love to see the resulting scenes :D

Will we get more details on Nikkal and her relationship with parents in the next updates? Or we've already seen everything?

We won't see her parents, but there will be a big metaphor that (if I'm lucky and skilled enough) will resolve her parental conflict and give us all a little catharsis.

Will Kingu really add the title "great" to “lady”? Or was it a joke?

Depends on Nikki, but damn that was not a joke :D

How did Shamash hang Kingu on chains on that island if magic doesn't work there?

Shamash didn't need magic to do that. I mean, hanging is a very mechanical process and the shackles work because of the material they're made of (same as the jail Nikki broke in), not because of the magic. And you can always make people do that.

How do you come up with the idea of "Nikkal herself being humorous"?

I'm not ashamed (like hell I'm not, who am I trying to foul here?) to admit that most of the time Nikki is just transmitting my own insecurities or the self-consciousness or just the sarcastic comments I want to give to my characters :D sometimes I just look at the story and be "daaaaaamn, they're so cheesy right now, let me just make Nikki comment on that before I explode with the feeling" :D

What did Nikkal thought about Shady Five before Ethan gone somewhere? 

Nothing in particular. She was taught to respect them and always obey to their will, but as you might notice, she's not very good with authorities, so it's not like she worships them in way some people do.

Did Iyar have any lovers in his human past?

He did.

What does Su think about Nikkal and Ethan? And what category does Shimun belong to (water, air or something else)?

Shimun is water. It doesn't mean that siblings always get one element, it's just how it happened. Su loves Nika and Ethan, Ethan was always more distant, so it's not that easy to grow attached to him, but as for Nika she adores her.

Did Niall have any previous lovers?

Not in a serious way.

What's life like in Ur, the capital? What are some fun things to do (besides watching fire dancers 🥺), the best dishes to eat, and sights to see?

In my imagination Ur is a fun place to be in. There're magic shows and festivals, there're pool parties and duels and the local kinds of balls... unfortunately, most of this stuff is available to rich only, so the poorer districts are mostly left with crowds gathering around a story teller or bards with lutes and dancers or local sports. Still a fun life to have, if you ask me)

Will we see Enki’s flower again? Does it disappear after being used? If we used it to find Ethan in jail, will we be able to use it again?

You'll see the flower again, but only if you didn't use it in the jail. It's a one-time-use thing.

Will Shimun stay at the Academy and wait for his friends to return or will he finally go to help them?

Shimun is not the one to go out of his way to help with global conflicts, though I can't say it's his fault. He was raised by Su to be a person he is now. Still, I do think this is not something we should appreciate and Shimun will face some consequences.

When Niki in the scene with the fireflies was expecting a kiss with Kingu, and he did not kiss her, after which it seemed to her that he was laughing inside, was it her imagination, or did she really feel it?

He's actually very good in picking little social cues, so he knew the way she felt and silently laughed at it (in a kind way, mind you). Unfortunately, he's also good in pretending he's blind and deaf and stupid :D

Which one of your main characters do you like the most?

Nikki is the best by now. She's kid, brave, a little dumb and childish, but curious and willing to dive into anything if this means getting what she wants. When she grows up a bit as a person, she'll be amazing.

Can water mages control blood? 

They could've, but it's a skill that requires a ton of patience and is not widely promoted, obviously, so most of the society doesn't even know it's possible.

Why did Ereshkigal transform into Kingu to trick Nikkal?

She didn't do it on purpose, she just kind of nudged Nikki's imagination to do the job. Kingu was the most logical option for Nikki at the moment, as she didn't know of him being arrested and Niall having an option to come... er... downstairs :D

If Iyar lived in the 21st century, what style of music would he like and listen to? What about Nikki, Kingu, Su and Niall?

I believe, Iyar would go for pop-rock, something like Coldplay and Toto. Kingu is more of a classic and meditation music. Niall would refuse to listen to music as "it messes with your feeling of your body and doesn't help with surrounding awareness". Su would go for Evanescence, System of a Down and Breaking Benjamin.

Does Nikkal suffer/ have memory loss? I've noticed she tends to go through brief flashbacks of her memory.

She went through a lot of trauma, sometimes your brain makes you forget painful or triggering things in order to preserve your psyche.

Nergal's axe was stolen and Ereshkigal wants it back. I wonder does this axe have any sort of magic in it or is it just a memoir for her?

It's a powerful tool, yes, a gift from the Mother herself, but Eri wants it mostly because... well, if my late husband's concubine who is by coincidence my sister would steal the only memory I have of him, I'd also be kind of annoyed :D

How soon can we expect Tiamat to be awakened?

Pretty soon.

When when we will be able to be locked into our LI path?

I plan to start closing the LI paths in a couple of updates.

Can you give us a little hint about the next update? Something interesting to think about.

The fight is going to be epic, though short and very painful.

We know that you're writing a book about the contents of FTF. Are there any plans to translate it to English as well? 

I'm not sure about that :D if there will be a demand, I'll be happy to do that, but as for now I'm going through all the legal stuff and figuring out what I can and what I cannot so we'll see when it comes to that.

About the book you’re writing, what can you tell us about it? Will any of the characters we know appear in it?

I can tell you for sure it's not an easy thing to write :D most of the main characters from RC will appear in the book, we'll also have an LI who's one of our four. However, the events happen in different order, many of original ones are missing and some are added, as I'm no longer tied by the mechanics of the game and can concentrate on character development and... well... spicy stuff with no routes.

What was your first reaction after you see the reaction of fandom when they found FTF would be on 2 seasons only initially...???

I was stunned. It was my office day and when I went around greeting everyone, they were all like "HAVE YOU SEEN THE FANDOM?!". And all the words of kindness and love and support were just too much, it was very hard not to cry throughout the day. FTF wasn't 2 seasons initially, it was 3, it's just that it was shortened after an update or two. I was obliged by NDA to keep this secret, so by the time the fandom got the news I already grieved my share and fought for the book and made everything in my power for the story to live on, so the reaction was like a huuuuuge wave that just knocked me over and made me speechless.

Personal/writer questions:

What made you get into writing?

Vivid imagination and loneliness in a very young age, I think :D and... well... spicy content later on.

What do you like the most and least about writing?

The most is the feeling of reading a well-made scene and knowing you can do this and go beyond this tomorrow. The least favorite are the days when I'm reflecting over a resignation letter because it's easier that making myself write even one comprehensive line.

When you're writing a story, what is the first thing you figure out? Is it the plot, the world, the characters or something else?

It's a detail. Any detail, any scene or a joke or even a feeling. When writing FTF I first saw the dragon rising and a girl standing in front of him in awe and fear and determination. It's a beautiful scene and my heart wanted it so bad that it built a whole world around it.

Do you have any routine you do before starting writing?

(can I include crying here? No? Ok) I like to light a scented candle and very politely ask everyone to leave me the heck alone :D my dog is the only one allowed in the room)

From FTF, CY and Queen in 30 days which story did you feel you wrote the best in story wise and character wise?

FTF, definitely. It has a big idea, a lot of psychology and philosophy and researched put in, not even mentioning me grabbing every other writing course just to become an inch better.

If you could live as the MC in one RC story, who would you be and why?

Agatha in CY would be perfect. I mean... money, respect, all the beautiful people around you! Getting in FTF also could be cool, but... errr... not in the specific time period we're in now)

How did these stories come to your mind? Were you watching a suspense movie and thought a detective story would be a great idea? what about Q30D and FTF?

Q30D was one of the stories requested by YSI. There was a list of topics they needed and I just went through them, wrote a plot or two on each of them and we chose the best one) CY was a result of a crazy brainstorm which included ten cups of coffee and me trying to murder my colleague with a pillow :D FTF was a result of me listening to a song and reading The Epic of Gilgamesh.

Do you horse ride? I love Namtar. He's my favorite character in FTF.

I do dressage since I was 13. I'm 32 now and excluding all the times I tried to stop doing it, it still is a long time, so yeah, I agree with you on FTF horses being a new level of horse-love in RC :D

Queen in 30 days:

Did you originally plan for Leonard to be an LI or was that something that came about as you were writing the story? 

Leo was created not as an LI, but as royal brother with no love scenes. But developing him and seeing the need for love he's in, I realized that it's going to be the biggest waste of this story if I didn't give him a route. Let's say, Leo won it with being such a tender badass. 

Chasing You:

Eve really have tried to seduce Alexander after S2? Even if he is in a relationship with Agatha.

That was the original plan. Eve would try to seduce him, but he would brush her aside unless Agatha went on another LI route. Then he could've try to be with Eve, but by the end of the story they would break up, cause they're like aaaaaabsolutely incompatible

I read somewhere that Alexander's look from CY is based on a real life friend of yours. Does he know that millions of people find him very handsome? 😂

Not only he knows, but most of our friends know :D and he always gets shy when this is brought up, but I know he secretly enjoys it, just like Alex would ;)

How much time it took to write the finale of CY and was cruetly and mercy path were suppossed to have much effect on finale or it was always planned to have less effect on finale?

It took me about a month and about a third of it was code, not the text :") cruelty and mercy have played just the role I assigned them to, no less, no more.

If the main characters in Chasing You were mages in Tiamat, which elements would each of them be a master of?

I believe, Rachel would be earth, Sam and Elliah - air, Alex, Agatha - fire and Eve - water)

I SURE CAN! I'm gonna go ahead and give an excessive amount of detail because some things weren't said in the show but I figured it out by looking at stuff online.

It's a French cartoon but the English dub is currently being released in Australia on ABC ME (so if you're Australian or have a good VPN you can watch it online for free!)

DRONERS is a show about a bunch of teenagers competing in a drone racing competition on Whale Island - an island owned by Wyatt Whale, the owner of WhaleCorp. WhaleCorp is a tech manufacturing company that created(?maybe?) G.E.N.I.E.s, which are little floating electric eel things that power the drones. Specifically they power drones also created by WhaleCorp. The competition seems to be a way for Wyatt to find a new apprentice.

Here's Wyatt Whale and his G.E.N.I.E., Neptune!

The other big drone manufacturing company is Teach Tech, founded by Gavinda Teach. Her drones do not have G.E.N.I.E.s, instead they're powered by nucleum (which is radioactive and toxic to the environment, naturally). She’s very gaslight girlboss. Here's her:

OK so now for the drone racer characters. All of the racing teams have their own little personalized hut they live in on Whale Island while competing (you can see in the background of each of the pics below).

First we have the main characters: Team Tikis!

From left to right: Mouse (mechanic), Oro (G.E.N.I.E.), Corto (pilot), & Enki (enginerd) (yes they call them enginerds yes it’s an official title). Their drone is called Maroro.

Corto’s the main character and she acts like a very typical shounen protagonist, I love her. Mouse has a whole thing with being a Shore Scrubber and part of the Ruto Clan (ill talk about this more later) and all we know about Enki is that he was at least partially raised in the jungle. These guys frequently talk about how winning this competition is the only way they can save their island, Nui (but we don’t know the details of that just yet).

Next team is...The Bees!

From left to right: Buzz (mechanic), Flora (pilot), Jelly (G.E.N.I.E.), & Fuzz (enginerd). Their drone is called Bumblebee!

We don’t know much about their motivations yet. Flora and Enki might have a little romance going on, hard to tell yet. And no I don’t know Buzz or Fuzz’s genders I don’t think they’ve spoken yet so that’s fun

Next team is...The Starfish!

Left to right: Debbie (enginerd/mechanic), Deejay (pilot), Shiny (G.E.N.I.E.). Their drone is called Aquablaster!

They’re actually a band/celebrity trio more than a racing team. Their motivation for being in the competition seems to be to gain more followers on social media and get more fans for their music.

Next is...The Tao Twins!

Left to right: Lotus (G.E.N.I.E.), Sun (pilot), Monk (enginerd/mechanic). Their drone is called Wushu!

I don’t remember if they’ve talked about their motivations for being in the competition, Sun said the people of his island are counting on him but they didn’t give any detail yet. Sun is also Corto’s love interest and they’re very funny together. ALSO he’s blind, fun facts. We don’t know much about Monk yet except he’s very sassy.

Next is The Cold Kings!

Left to right: Manta (pilot), Shino (enginerd/mechanic). Their drone is called Sub-Zero!

This is one of the two Teach Tech teams. We don’t know much about their motivations but Manta is a very angry guy and Shino seems to support it and find it annoying at the same time. You get it.

Next is...The Mirages!

Left to right: Adam (enginerd/mechanic), Hannah (pilot). Their drone is called Fatamorgana.

This is the other Teach Tech team. They seem to be working directly under Gavinda Teach but we don’t know why just yet.

Next is The Sirens!

Left to right: Victoria (enginerd), Mina (pilot), Nemo (G.E.N.I.E.), Laurel (mechanic). Their drone is called Nautilus!

We don’t know their motivations but we DO know that they’re British so does that mean England exists in this universe? I have no idea. I’m sure you can tell what Mina’s personality is just by looking at her. They’re very cute though I love Laurel.

And the last team is The Pirates!

Left to right: Max (enginerd/occasional pilot), Patch (G.E.N.I.E.), Shark (pilot/occasional enginerd), & Ed (mechanic). Their drone is called Claw!

I saved this team for last because they’re the Shore Scrubber team! The show has yet to fully explain what Shore Scrubbers are, but it seems to be a class of people that are stereotyped by non-Shore Scrubbers as being aggressive liars who will cheat and steal. Their motivation in this competition seems to be to prove that Shore Scrubbers are just like everyone else (but they haven’t talked about it really).

Mouse is also a Shore Scrubber so she really likes The Pirates and will defend them from the other characters being classist/bigoted towards them.

There’s also some backstory for the show involving the Terrans and the Aquas - Terrans being humans and Aquas being ancient creatures that may be extinct and we don’t know much about them right now.

Anyway the show (for the 13 episodes that I’ve seen) is just the teams competing in drone races run by Wyatt Whale, first there’s a test race and then some character development and learning and then there’s a real race. It’s a points-based competition and not elimination-based so all of the teams are still around at the end of those 13 episodes! I don’t know where things are gonna go for the rest of the season and I don’t know when they’re coming out :(
