Okay actually done for real for real aka thesis has been turned in and I cannot keep finetuning it even if I'd want to.
#liveblogging my masters#you'd think I'd feel relief (I thought I'd feel relief!) but instead I am gripped with a sudden terror that some obscure article#I've never laid eyes on before will contain a paragraph identical to my thesis & I'll be accused of plagiarism#or that they'll check it with an automated machine that doesn't have the common sense to distinguish between actual copying#and the fact that mathematical formulae with similar symbols get used in many different contexts for many different things#or the fact that there are only so many ways to phrase a standard definition or set of axioms (that I did cite!)#i realise if they were this boneheaded about things it would be a problem for *every* student so they probably aren't#and this is just my anxiety latching on to the last possible point where everything could go terribly wrong#but nonetheless: aaaaaaaaaaaaa

König x Autistic Reader headcanons
Just a little disclaimer that I myself am not autistic. I'm neurdivergent but I don't struggle with most of the things that autistic people do. So please feel free to let me know if something is incorrect. Only here to spread love. ♥️
Being the colonel, König heard about you from your previous commanding officer. You were being switched to KorTac on recommendation so he didn't think any less of you when he heard you were also autistic.
Not that he would if you weren't, but you had a pretty decent record to back your few years in the military.
He had less than a week to prepare before you'd be transfered, and he wanted to be as prepared for you as possible. He'd read as much as he could, trying to take everything in.
Of course, hearing that some things were different for different autistic users was a little anxiety inducing.
When he met you out off the helicopter, you had your headphones on, taking them off slowly when you got a comfortable distance from the spinning blades.
He noticed how you took them off slowly, letting yourself adjust a little to the noise out of the headphones before hanging them around your neck.
"Ah, sergeant. My name is König." König held out his gloved hand, which you seemed a little surprised at, but on a good way. And you shook his hand, recognizing his firm grip.
"Thank you..."
"Allow me to show you around before we talk business ja?"
You nodded hesitantly, slowly following him.
Your eyes moved everywhere, taking in the new environment. It was much different. All the new smells, the sounds, the surprise of it.
König was aware you would need proper introduction to the environment. The ins and outs, a clear schedule laid out before it happened. Which is what he would prepare you with. No doubt just chucking you into work would overwhelm you. As it would anyone.
He noticed the way your thumbs continually moved over the seam of your uniform in the same motion while you took everything in.
He laid out the usual schedule, reassuring you that you wouldn't have to adhere to their schedule so strictly until you were fully integrated.
It was nice, how smooth it felt. Unlike your first transition. Being thrown into boot camp with zilch for experience you knew it would be rough. But you're glad you don't ever have to do that again.
König made sure you were aware that you could come to him if you needed anything or if you had questions. He was an open book and willing to help.
At first he was very worried about how you'd react to his mask. He didn't know if you'd be ok with it or not? Would you be put off by it? Would it reassure you with so little detail on his face, not being able to see him.
But from how you reacted, clearly your first impressions of his gentle nature won you over instead of his daunting height and scary exterior.
You had been worried in the beginning that König was going to be like everyone else. But he was actually very gentle. He was quieter, unlike your previous superiors who seemed to be into yelling just because they could.
And König was gentle with you. Not like when you were first brought into the military. Now, to be fair, you had joined the military and they wanted soldiers one way or another. You hadn't expected to be pampered right out of the gate. But he approached you in a way that settled you in.
König was usually very aware of what he was doing, because of his height and his position, every move was in his thoughts. And with you that was no different.
"Hey... Y/n, I know the canteen is pretty busy today, so I figured I'd just bring you a plate here." He smiles a little under the hood, wondering if you'd appreciate the gesture or get mad at him because you thought he was treating you as weak.
To his relief, you smiled softly. "Oh, König-" you pause when you saw the plate. König had always noticed you much preferred some food over others, and you always organized them in specific ways. And it was just like that, your plate perfect to your autistic eye.
You wouldn't have to spend ten minutes of precious food time reordering and sorting.
"Thank you König, thank you."
König always did his best to help you. But of course, there was only so much he could do to help. Even in simple training, you were sometimes allowed to have your headphones on, but there was always that time when you weren't.
When könig would clearly see you getting overwhelmed from smells, sounds, and strenuous activity you were faced with.
König is always an extended arm, but was nervous to help you if you didn't want it. So when you showed up in his office, clearly something wrong he wasn't sure what to do.
You just stood in the doorway, clutching the hem of your shirt, your throat feeling tight. You couldn't move, just on the brink of completely exploding in tears.
König slowly stood, approaching you gently. "Y/n..?" He reached out to touch you, slowly, giving you a moment to pull away if you wanted. But you didn't. His hand touching your cheek, cupping your face.
"You're doing amazing..."
Tears fell down your cheeks and you whimpered, leaning against him. He gently wrapping his other arm around you. Warming you, slowly rubbing your back in consistent circles.
"I'm here. I'm here y/n."
König soon became used to knowing every little motion to you. Your hands tensing, trying to stim with them, struggling with verbal communication in stressful situations, or at all. Getting the words in your head out verbally usually a struggle.
Whenever you needed him, he'd be there. On missions when stuck in a stake out, he would give you his backpack that hopefully it would provide enough weight when he took watch; so you could sleep with minimal anxiety.
But König knew, and he was patient.
König who let's you stim with the Velcro straps on his gear and uniform whenever you needed it.
You two were sitting in the cargo plane, könig could feel you staring into him. Your hand moved a little, and he looked at you. "Y/n??"
"König... Can I..?" You reached your hand for his belt, and he understood. Pulling the Velcro from his belt and moving it to your hand. "Yeah, go ahead."
You nod, pushing the Velcro apart and then slowly pulling it open. Listening to the sound and the slow tear. And the patch on his bicep, listening to it slowly peal apart and then sticking it evenly back on.
König sat there still, letting you stim. "Feeling a bit better?"
You nod a little. "Yeah... Thank you."
He hums, smiling softly. He let's you play with the Velcro for the remainder of the flight, not minding you gently stimming with his gear. It's calming for him in a way as well.
When you were on base, you one time asked for him to lay on you, and he was genuinely afraid he'd hurt you.
"Y/n... I believe I am a tad too heavy. I can get you something else-?"
"No König. Crush me. Crush me like my soul... Suffocate me into happiness.."
"Woah... Alright then."
You laid on your back with your arms flat open invitingly. And so König laid across you, wrapping his arms around your waist and placing his palms up between your shoulder blades.
You sighed happily as he squeezed the oxygen out of you, pushing you down into the blanket. He was warm, his smell was familiar.
"Perfect..."
König who asks if you have any favorite scents from back home, or any in general. The ones he likes he gets you scented candles so you can put them in your office and room for comfort.
König who buys you a white noise machine and sends you audio files of crickets and whales.
And your hyperfixations. Oh König loves them. He loves listening to you talking his ear off. He doesn't talk a whole lot and enjoys the silence, so having you who dominates the conversation, but not in a way where he feels overstepped or ignored. It's nice.
He loves hearing about all the lore and the background for your liking said thing.
And he even decided to try sharing an interest of his to you. Nature documentaries! König was happy when you gave it a try. If you can sit still through all of it, great! If you can't, he'll probably dig out a fidget toy or grabs something nearly you can use.
Gets rubix cubes from Horangi to see if you like it and want it. Found out what a fidget spinner is and got you one too.
When you told him you were nervous of what the others would think of you carrying one around base, König made the bold decision to carry one too. "Hey, how about we both carry one? So then you're not alone, and they won't think you're weird!"
König is very protective of him. You're like his kid! But in a cool way, not a demeaning way. He wants to take care of you and protect you as best he can. He wants you to know he's got your back.
He's there when you need someone to lay on, or to be laid on. He's there when you need someone who will just cup your ears and tell you to focus on him.
He's there when you need someone to wipe those tears and hold you close to a warm, welcoming body of a close friend.
Because he's your friend, and he cares so much for you. He's definitely still learning, and still trying, but damn it if he wouldn't do anything it takes for you.

your cool no matter what part 2
Chapter name: sick love
FLUFFY TIME
this is based off my headcanon of what happens when sevens sick
Also @biblicallyaccuratefour is in this
Cover by @almostholysandwich
Nine pov:
I was hanging out with two, as they were teasing me about what happened yesterday with seven. "Somebody's in love~" Two said mocking me
"I AM NOT" I yelled out, feeling embarrassed. All the sudden I felt something wrap their arms around me, I tuned around to see it was seven. I was flustered out of my mind from this.
Two noticed seven didn't look so well "hey seven, umm your not looking so great today, are you ok" Two asked. I looked at sevento notice he didn't look so good, making me worried.
I placed my arm on his to feel he had a fever. "Sev seems to have a fever" I said as seven tightened his grip on me making me blush a little more. "I need help~" Seven said ad he grumbled
"I think me and two could help" I said as I looked at two. "Uhhh I actually gotta go so uh, bye" two said as they disappeared
I was mad at the fact two left me, but I had to focus on seven right now. "Come on let's head your place, I think you'd be more comfortable with that" I said as I dragged seven to her place.
When we got there, I went to the coach to sit down, followed with seven sitting close to me. "Ok so I will watch over you for the day until you get better, you got that" I asked as I looked at seven. Seven looked at me and started clinging on to me as the looked at me all sad like, making me blush slightly "but your gonna get sick though" seven whined as I sighed. "I don't care, your my friend, so I can't just leave a friend sick like this. So try to get better ok" I said to seven, almost sounding like a parent. "Oh- ok" seven said with a groan at the end
a few hours have passed with seven getting worse by the second. I was getting worried about her, I didn't know if this was normal or not. I thought about getting some soup, but I realized I would just start a fire. I had to find four or x to get some soup. I walked to seven who was sitting on the couch, covered with blankets.
"I'm going to get some soup from four and X, so wait here" I said to sev as I started to walk away. All the sudden I felt something pulling my leg, I turned around to see it was seven, I was blushing like crazy from this. "S-sev! Let me go! You need to get rest! I have to go to four and X to get some soup, we both know I will just start a fire if I tried to cook" I said, as I was super embarrassed.
"Nooooo! I'll die here alone"sev said as he was on the ground trying to get mw to stay. All the sudden I herd a knock on the door. "Seven? You in there, what's going on" I herd faux af the door, making me sigh in relief
I opened the door to let him in. "Nine? What are you doing here" "sev is sick and is clinging on to me so I have to take care of him" I explained to faux about the situation. "Say could you make sev some soup, I'd do it but I'd somehow burn the milk or something" I asked looking concerned. Faux sighed then looked at me "fine I'll help" he sad making me happy and relieved
"But after that I got to go, I have to go to the hospital to see ten with eight" faux explained to me "ok bro, I understand" I said. After a few minutes, faux finished the soup and brought it to me "There you go, now I have to go, see ya" faux said as he left the house. I walked upstairs to see seven in bed, he had a super high fever so I had to give him the soup.
"Here's some soup bro, eat up" I said, holding a spoon full of the soup and having it out so seven could eat. Seven chuckled and looked at me, "how about I eat you instead, because of the joke 7 8 ni-" seven said, as i blushed alot from the joke "just eat this please" is said cutting seven up. Eventually seven ate the soup.
I checked up on her a few minutes later, and they're fever was starting to go down. "I'm so bored~" seven whined out. I looked around for something, then found sevens tablet, seven didn't have a password so it was easy for me to get in. I put on war of wonderland (my object show I'm working on) as she started watching it, laughing at the funny parts.
I blushed at sevens laugh, it was kinda... cute- WAIT NO?! I shouldn't have these thoughts, sevens just a friend, right? I had these thoughts yesterday also, what is going on?! I looked back at seven who wad relaxed. I sat down on a chair next to sevens bed, and watched war if wonderland with her.
To be continued
Hope you guys enjoyed chapter 2. See you next chapter

part one | oblivion
oblivion [noun. the state of being unaware or unconscious of what is happening around one]
pairing: kamo noritoshi/f!reader
summary: your relationship with noritoshi was like a game of cat and mouse; no matter how hard you tried to escape from him, he would always find his way back to you.
wordcount: 3.9k
content/warnings: friends to enemies to lovers, language, noritoshi is kind of a dick but i promise it gets better so please don’t lose faith in him, we’re not strictly following the manga timeline bc while i am reading it, i do have a goldfish brain, lowercase intended
a/n: hello, here’s the first installment of my sanguine series! it’s the prequel of this drabble (nsfw) i wrote the other week while i was working on the outline of the fic. it’s a little slow burn because i wanted to spend some more time exploring their relationship and the groundwork for it, so yeah. i’ll try to update it regularly, but since i’ve only planned five parts for sanguine, it might take a while bc i want to take my time with it. if you want to stay updated with the series, i’ll post the masterlist to it shortly! i do hope you enjoy it though :) and stay safe, everybody! [tagging @sukirichi the sukuna to my yuuji, who just gets spammed when i start rambling about my aus but always screams with me (´• ω •`)]
masterlist - next
"y/n!" you look up to see miwa storming towards you, thrusting a book in your direction. "could you- could you please give this to noritoshi? i borrowed this book from him like a week ago and if i don't return this anytime soon, i think he's gonna kill me."
scowling at her, you look at the book in disdain. you wanted to avoid crossing paths with noritoshi as much as possible and miwa was well aware that you didn't like hi-
"please," miwa pleaded again, taking your hands and placing the book in it. "i'm really scared of him. he always looks like he's going to shoot me soon. even todo is pretty nice if you don't interrupt his takada-chan time!"
you sighed in annoyance, you just couldn't say no. ever since coming to the kyoto metropolitan curse tech, miwa and you had been pretty close because you strongly disliked the other students. most of them were arrogant and stuck-up, thinking they were better than the other; the two that belonged to the three clans were even worse. on your first day here you'd promptly gotten into a fight with mai, disliking how haughty she was and trying to prove everyone that she was better than them. much to your chagrin, the fight ended in a tie.
"fine, but you owe me some mango," miwa's face lit up in relief and she gave you a thumbs up before dashing to her room, most likely to escape noritoshi's wrath. you inspected the book. was it even worth returning it? maybe you could just throw it in the trash. if noritoshi ever found out, he'd kill miwa first and then you. you let out another sigh before making your way towards the training grounds. he most likely was outside to practice, either with one of the guys or alone. as you were nearing the training grounds, you could already hear the sound of arrows whistling and the dull thuds of them hitting the target. it was hard to spot him through all the trees; you weren't entirely sure where he was. your ears perked up when you heard him release another arrow until you realized that it was heading your way. this bastard. fortunately, you were able to slash the arrow clean in the middle, angrily pointing your sword in his direction. you still couldn't see him anywhere.
"you fucking idiot! you could've killed me," you snarled, stomping deeper into the forest. an amused laugh echoed through the trees.
"you're acting like i can't control my arrows. it's not my fault you let your guard down," noritoshi retorted smugly, lowering his bow as he saw you approaching. you were fuming, hurling the book at him. how dare he? you watched with satisfaction as it hit him square in the chest - who was caught off guard now, huh? he deserved it anyways.
"miwa asked me to return your book," you curtly explained and turned back around to leave but apparently, noritoshi had other plans. instead of saying anything else, he just followed you which unsettled you even more.
"stop following me."
"who said i was following you? i'm just going back to the dorms. i'm sorry you can't handle me being near you."
you whirled around, sword pointing dangerously close to his neck. he smirked at you triumphantly, it was just too easy to get a rouse out of you. "another word and i'll cut you, seriously. you're pissing me off," you gritted your teeth, hating that you always fell for his stupid games. he knew you all to well, what made you angry, what made you happy, what motivated you. once upon a time, you'd thought the same about him; until he changed so rapidly, so unlike your expectations. you were worlds apart and yet you'd reserved an ounce of hope that he wouldn't turn out to be as arrogant as the clan heads. swift as the wind, noritoshi grabbed your wrist, dragging it upwards and towards him until he could lean down to you. your heartbeat sped up - holy shit why was he so close to you - and you froze in shock.
"i'd like to see you try, princess," he whispered in your ear, the grip on your wrist tightening. "you wouldn't dare to."
the first time you met noritoshi, he was sitting outside in the garden with his mum. both seemed to have a good time. noritoshi's hair was tousled from the soft summer breeze and he had a soft smile on his face, happily munching away on the snacks that were displayed on the table. while he looked friendly enough, you were wary of meeting and talking to him because you felt kind of queasy around the kamo family. you couldn’t quite place a finger on the feeling, the older members of the family intimidating you to no end. much to your dismay, you felt like you had to be watchful - your parents worked for the kamo family, so naturally the apartment you lived in was close to the estate. you avoided any run ins with the adults, they weren’t exactly friendly to you. noritoshi’s mum had befriended your mum and they spent a lot of time together when possible. and yet you’d never met noritoshi before, seeing how busy he was with his various classes.
the fit that you threw, not wanting to tag along with your mum, was long forgotten when you’d spotted the jar of cookies on the table. before your mum could react, you pulled your hand away from hers and quickly ran towards it. “hello miss!” you greeted enthusiastically, your eyes shining at the sight of the sweets. “my name is y/n! i’m here with my mum and i uhm… could i have some of the cookies? please?” when your mum finally caught up to you, she scolded you quietly and greeted the other two, taking a seat beside noritoshi’s mum. you pouted, immediately climbing on her lap as you refused to sit next to the boy. his mum handed you a cookie which you happily took and thanked her politely. noritoshi was curiously eyeing you; it wasn’t often that he saw other children around his age and he didn’t have any friends to play with. his everyday life revolved around reading books, studying, taking archery classes and sometimes spending time with his mum. noritoshi barely even knew what fun was - he’d only ever felt at peace when he was around his mum.
“y/n, sweetie, why don’t you go and play with noritoshi?” your mum prompted but you immediately shook your head, hiding your face in her chest. she simply laughed and shook her head, brushing your hair back softly. “come on, noritoshi is really nice. you can be his friend one day, right? didn’t i tell you that friends are important?”
you frowned. then huffed. when she worded it like this, there was no way you could refuse. the cartoon that you religiously watched featured a group of friends that went on adventures and helped each other out. you’d told your mum that you wanted to be like that too! begrudgingly, you slid off her lap and trudged towards noritoshi who looked at you with big eyes. you held your hand out, waiting for him to shake it. “my name is y/n. uhm… nice to meet you,” you shyly whispered, eyes darting away from him.
it took a while until noritoshi reacted, shaking your hand gently and answering: “hello y/n, i’m noritoshi.”
much to your surprise, noritoshi was actually fun to be around with. he showed you his collection of books, the bow that he was practicing with and you often played the card game you’d received for your birthday together. he was smart and witty, often explaining you things that he’d read in a book but he was also attentive when he listened to you ramble about the other kids in school or when you told him about the cartoon that you were watching. for you, noritoshi was becoming your best friend - for noritoshi, you were his first friend. he cherished you and how unabashedly true to yourself you were. spending time with you was something he looked forward to; you always made him laugh and you didn’t care whether he lived up to the kamo family name or not. to you, he was simply noritoshi. you were like a fresh breeze of air in his life.
noritoshi didn't quite understand why the elders were always so hard on him, so strict and unrelenting. they expected only the best results from him and didn't show any understanding when he exhausted. he didn't enjoy practice anymore, the lessons becoming a chore and burden on his mind. but whenever he saw your face light up at his newly acquired skills, he thought it was worth the trouble. you came to visit him everyday after school, never skipping a day. sometimes he questioned why you weren't visiting your friends from school but you shook your head, poking his chest indignantly. "you're my best friend, 'toshi. of course i'd want to spend more time with you." noritoshi was glad you always chose him, without fail.
even though your parents had always warned you to be careful around noritoshi because his family was strict and didn't like outside influences distracting the heir, you never really strayed from his side. noritoshi didn't have any other friends, who would keep him company or listen to his troubles then? you didn't understand why your parents were suddenly going back on their word. they'd always told you that family and friends were important. you couldn't pinpoint your feelings for him - but your parents saw it. it was obvious; the stars in your eyes when you looked at him, the slight blush on your cheeks when he complimented you and how happy you were when you got to spend time with him. the more time you spent with him, the more they were worried for you.
"'toshi!" you yelled in excitement as you ran towards him, waving wildly. he dropped his bow and turned to you, a soft smile gracing his lips as he opened his arms to hug you. you squeezed him tightly. two weeks you hadn't seen him due to a school trip after which you got sick and weren't able to leave the house. you'd missed him a lot and you were excited to show him the souvenirs you brought him.
"look, i bought you an omamori!" you handed him the small object, then pointing on your bag to show him the one you'd bought for yourself. "i got myself a matching one too! my teacher said it wards off evil spirits and brings you luck." noritoshi's smile was bright, so bright. he was happy you thought of him and were always kind to him. your eyes widened as he leaned in to kiss your cheek before thanking you. the two of you were blushing, neither saying a word but not minding what had just happened.
the day noritoshi's mother left the estate was the day you were slowly starting to lose him. noritoshi grew more forlorn and didn't seem to easily find joy in anything anymore. the departure left a deep, deep gap in his heart. it had shocked him deep to the core when she left him. him. why couldn't she stay? why did she leave him when she was the only person who protected him, loved him? she did say that she was hindering his growth but who was she to decide that? he didn't want to become stronger, didn't want to protect other people like she'd told him to. he wanted to stay with her. "'toshi? 'toshi!" a concerned voice broke through his trance, pulling him back into reality. "i asked you a question! you weren't even listening to me."
you were pouting at him, tugging at his sleeve impatiently. noritoshi apologized, patting your head to soothe your temper. "what do you want to do in the future? mum said it's important to work towards your dreams!" you asked him curiously, grasping his hand to hold it. the gesture filled him with indescribable warmth, drawing him in like a moth to the flames. "my mum said i have a special power, i can heal people! i want to become a doctor in the future, so i can help everyone that got hurt," you explained to him so earnestly that he felt bad for the lie he was about to tell. noritoshi didn't have big dreams or ambitions just yet. he didn't even know what would be suitable to him - he was strictly following orders, never allowed to think for himself.
but when he looked at you, he only had one wish. "i think… i think i want to help people, protect them. especially those that i love."
with each year passing, you noticed that noritoshi was putting more and more distance between the two of you. at first you'd brushed it off as the stress of his training and number of classes he was attending. but as you spent less and less time together, the weight of the situation didn’t escape you. he was easily irritable, cold and arrogant, often rude towards employees of the kamo estate. every now and then when you’d scold him for being an asshole, he’d simply scoff at you and haughtily ask you how it was any of your business. you sighed, tossing and turning in your bed as you thought about how much noritoshi had changed. it kept you up at night, just thinking about how he wasn’t your ‘toshi anymore. you didn’t know this person. ‘toshi was always gentle and kind, he tended to overthink many things and sometimes he was a little bit of a crybaby but you still loved him regardless. you sneaked out of your room, finally mustering up enough courage to ask your mother for advice. the thought of her discovering your blooming crush on noritoshi was scaring you. your parents were wary around the kamos despite working from them - even more so ever since noritoshi’s mother left and the elders had free reign over her son.
“noritoshi! noritoshi, stop walking away from me! hey, i’m talking to you!” you yelled frustrated as you were trying to keep up with him. noritoshi was crossing the garden in long strides, it was nearly impossible to stop him as you couldn’t catch up to him. you lunged forward, getting hold of his sleeve and tugged him back harshly. noritoshi yanked his arm out of your grip, glaring at you annoyed.
“what do you want from me? i have better things to do than to quibble with you,” he hissed irritated. you couldn’t believe him, he had the nerve to dismiss you like this when he was in the wrong?
“you know exactly what i want from you! you can’t just go around and talk to people like you did before just because they’re not from a reputable family! noritoshi, you’re not any better than them just because your last name is kamo.”
as much as noritoshi scared you, you stood your ground. you knew he didn’t take you serious, not with the amused look he gave you. in the past month or two, noritoshi was suddenly hit by a growth spurt - you barely reached his shoulder now and he took advantage of that to mock you, often treating you like an armrest. he pat your head condescendingly, pouting at you in fake regret. “aw, did i hurt your feelings? did i make itty bitty little y/n sad?” he mocked you, before abruptly grabbing your cheeks to make you look at him. “i don’t care what you think of me, cry all you want. i strongly suggest you hold that sharp tongue of yours if you know what’s good. know your place.”
tears filled your eyes; noritoshi had never talked to you this way. what has gotten into him? your heart broke in pieces, unable to take the pain any longer. you were no longer his equal but below him, much like everyone else.
“mum?” you cautiously knocked at the door of her study, waiting for her response. your mother was most likely still awake and dealing with paperwork like she usually did. upon hearing the affirmative noise she made, you flitted inside, closing the door behind you so your father didn’t catch any wind of this. it was already embarrassing enough and you were sure your mother could offer you better advice. you gingerly took a seat on the armchair, grabbing a pillow and hugging it close to your body. how were you going to approach this? hey mum, i have a crush on noritoshi and he’s weird to me now and i don’t know why? uh yeah mum, i caught feelings for the guy you warned me about and now i look like a fool crawling up to you like this?
“it’s about noritoshi, isn’t it?” your mother interrupted your stream of thought, spinning her swivel chair towards you.
“huh? oh no it isn’t, why would it be? i have-”
“y/n.”
“ugh okay fine, maybe it is about him,” you sighed defeated, of course she would look right through you. she always seemed to know what you were thinking, even when you hadn’t confided in her before. “but promise me you won’t judge me!” the look in your mother’s eyes told you that she was going to judge you regardless but you knew she meant well - she simply wanted the best for you.
“i- i just don’t understand why he’s been such a pain in the ass lately. and he’s been treating everyone like dirt too, including me! mum, he’s becoming someone else and i… i don’t know what to do,” you sniffled inconsolably, wiping at your eyes with the sleeves of your sweater. she wasn’t supposed to see you getting emotional. “he’s always busy and when we do get to see each other, he doesn’t want to spend time with me. what if he doesn’t like me anymore? and i don’t like how he’s treating you! it’s the same issue with the elders, they don’t know any human decency at all!”
your mother motioned you to scoot over a little and sat next to you, wrapping her arms around you and patting your back to console you. while she meant well, it accomplished the opposite - you broke down in tears, unable to stop your sobs. “i just want my ‘toshi back,” you whimpered upset, burying your face in the pillow to muffle the sound of you crying. “i know you didn’t like that i became good friends with him but i couldn’t help it and i just really like him and- you weren’t supposed to find that out.”
“sweetheart, i know you love noritoshi,” she handed you a tissue. “you let a lot more on than you were aware of; dad and me always knew you were in love with him.” as if on cue, your sobbing stopped and you just looked at her in disbelief. she knew. she knew. you wanted the earth to swallow you whole. “i think it was always pretty obvious, to be honest. you always looked at him as if he was your entire world and no matter what happened, you were always by his side. i know it’s hard to accept when a dear friend is changing but sometimes you just have to, right? both of you are still growing, there’s no way of telling how your personalities change.”
“but i don’t want him to change like this,” you protested stubbornly, glaring at her. she was talking about it as if it was a matter of simply discarding a bad apple in the trash. it wasn’t easy and it made you anxious. you grew up together, shared secrets and memories. he was the person you’d always looked up to.
“y/n.” your mother sounded stern but you didn’t back down, not yet. “is it really worth it? if a person is changing so rapidly and you’re not getting through to them, you’ll have to let it go. there’s only so much you can do. people grow apart sometimes, it’s only natural. you have to let go of them, temporarily, so you both can heal and grow. y/n, i know you’re being stubborn about this but you’ll have to let him figure things out on his own. fate has curious ways to bring people back together.”
when the time came, noritoshi left to attend the kyoto metropolitan curse tech school without telling you a word. you were disappointed, apparently you weren’t worth saying goodbye to. whatever his reason was, it must’ve been pretty important. important enough to forget the promise that you’d always stay in contact. you wondered whether he'd change again, for the better maybe? maybe you would reconcile when you could finally attend the school as well and train together. you were excited to show him your sword skills, having received your family's heirloom, an elegant steel blue sword. though your skills probably weren’t up to par with the other students, you still wanted to show them off, show him what you’d learned in the year that you spent apart.
noritoshi had changed but not for the better. holy shit, did he get on your nerves. the first time he'd practiced with you, you realized that he had mutated into an insufferable know-it-all. he would give you backhanded compliments or make snide remarks about your posture, how you were supposed to hold your sword, how inefficient your fighting style was. sometimes you wished you could just beat him for once and have him shut up. there was no denying though, noritoshi was way too strong and you had a long way to go. judging from the reactions of the others, barely anyone had beat him either.
and just like that, your feelings for him were buried. you’d taken your mother’s advice to heart, keeping conversations and interactions with him to a minimum but somehow noritoshi always found his way to you. he was everywhere and a quarrel was inevitable. noritoshi got under your skin and he knew how to push your buttons. why he chose to pick on you was beyond your comprehension; he didn’t pay much attention to the other students nor was he particularly liked by them. just how much was he going to get on everyone else’s nerves? out of all the second years, todo aoi was the most amicable; you had the (dis)pleasure to run into him on your first day and for some reason, he took a liking to you. while he was loud and boisterous, mostly doing whatever he wanted, you couldn’t deny that he was a good friend. even though he didn’t care about anyone as much as he cared about takada-chan. at one point, he’d looked at you in sympathy when he caught you staring at noritoshi, patting your shoulder (too forceful): “i’m sorry, y/n, i’m so sorry.”
you still didn’t know what he meant by that.
ps.: todo knows and he’s kinda judging you for your taste in men

"Miss l/n, we know the hack came from inside the building. All I want to do is find out who's responsible. Which means I need your cooperation." Detective Kim Namjoon peers at you over the frames of his dark glasses.
"And like I've said, you have my full cooperation. I cannot tell you anything more than I already have." You respond leaning forward on the table, desperate for him to believe you.
He slumps back in his seat and sighs. "Miss l/n, we can't keep doing this back and forth routine. I-"
"Sir, I love my job and I love this company," you interrupt. "I also think very highly of my boss, I. Would. Not. Do. This."
"How high?"
You freeze at his sudden change of questioning. "What?"
"How high?" He repeats. "Is something going on between you two?"
You straighten your back, looking at him through narrowed eyes, feeling the rock of a lie settle in your stomach and weigh you down. "Mr. Kim, I am a professional."
He puts both his hands up in surrender. "No offense intended ma'am. It's just that some of your other coworkers seem quite smitten with him."
You almost roll your eyes, knowing you were probably just as dreamy eyed as your co-workers but too proud to admit it.
"Oh, and they did mention the two of you cosying up at a recent work party."
You resist the urge to swallow as your heart pounds violently inside you, panic squeezing your pumping organ in a vice grip. You thought no one had noticed your exchange or your absence when you both left.
"We were talking, yes. He offered me a promotion and wanted to discuss it."
He looks impressed. "Wow, what a good opportunity, he must trust you a lot."
"He did."
"Until this?" He scrubs a hand over his smooth face and you nod.
"Um-hm. What would you say you could hack into?"
You frown, not understanding the question. "Sorry?"
"Could you hack just about anything?"
Thinking about it you shrug, "Most things I'd say."
"Even something as impenetrable as this program?"
You laugh. "Sir, I designed the security portion of this program, I wouldn't need to hack into it." You lean forward again. "Let me explain something to you, if I were to do something like this, I would have been in and out without anyone knowing. I would know how to cover my tracks without being detected."
You pause rubbing your temples, "If you ask me, this was done by someone with a limited knowledge of hacking and computers. Either that or this person is trying to frame someone in the company. They're your two options."
He smiles at you, two dimples forming an endearing crevice in his cheeks.
"They told me you were smart."
You rub your face ignoring his remark. "I have been here for hours. Am I free to go or are you going to charge me with something?"
"Just one more question. What were you doing last night?"
Your heart stutters before pounding guiltily against your ribcage, with every beat you're almost sure you can hear Jimin's name. Ji-min. Ji-min.
Folding your hands in your lap to disguise you pinching your wrist under the table, trying to do anything to keep your hectic mind calm as you know you have to lie.
"I was at home."
"Alone?"
The smirk he gives you makes your stomach churn, as if he can see right through you and your lies, as if he can see everything that transpired last night flashing behind your eyes.
"Yes." Your voice comes out raspy, a sudden dry patch in your throat makes you swallow involuntarily.
"Run me through your evening." He sinks lower into his seat, you're almost waiting for him to pull out a footstool and put his feet up.
"We set up the project, waited for it to go live-"
"Who's we?"
"My team, myself and Mr. Park."
He nods and gestures a hand for you to continue.
"Once it was live, we monitored it for a few hours, checked everything was in working order and most of my team went home for the night. It was pretty late by then."
He jots your account down on his laptop, the keys clicking furiously as you speak.
"What time is 'late'?"
"Around 10ish."
He raises his brows. "Is that a typical work day for you?"
You shake your head. "No, it was only because we wanted to make sure everything went ok with the go live, a few tweaks and adjustments had to be made, nothing major."
He nods, eyes focused on his screen. "Is that usual at the end of a project, tweaks and adjustments?"
You shrug. "Sometimes yes, on big projects, sometimes you can't see certain errors until a go live."
"Ok, so it's 10 o'clock and your team have gone home, leaving you and Mr. Park. What happened next?"
You massage your temples. "We spoke in his office."
"About what?"
Your hand slams down on the table, an action you didn't intend. "Is that relevant?"
He looks up startled, then smiles. "Why? Have I touched a nerve?"
You resist the urge to lean across the table and pound your fist into his smug face and instead lean back in your seat with your arms folded, an attempt at shielding yourself. "We spoke about the project and the result. It seemed to be successful, at the time, so we had a celebratory night cap."
He shoves his laptop aside, leaning forward on his elbows, ears pricked and ready. "Let me get this straight. You and the - forgive me - handsome Mr. Park are alone in the building, in his office and having a night cap, late at night?"
"Yes." You reply bluntly, the arrogance of him, so sure he'll find your lie, flaming your veins with rage.
"Does Mr. Park regularly have his colleagues in his office for a night cap?"
"I wouldn't know sir, I'm not his secretary."
"Even if you were, she'd have gone home hours ago, according to you." He pauses watching you, his eyes so intense they feel smothering-suffocating.
His stare eases, releasing you from its hold. "Ok continue, what happened after your night cap?" He relaxes and goes back to typing.
You breathe a sigh of relief, air feeling light and free again.
"We talked, I finished my drink, then I went home."
"How did you get home?"
You pause. If you lie, they're bound to see the footage of you and Jimin leaving the building together, with you getting into his car.
"Miss l/n? How did you get home?"
Here he goes looking expectantly over the rim of his glasses again.
"Mr. Park gave me a ride home."
And there was that infuriating smirk again. "Is that so? Was his driver there or did Mr. Park do the driving?"
You feel the heat on the back of your neck as you're reminded of how Jimin's hands felt on your skin, hot and eager in the back of the car. "His driver took me."
"With Mr. Park."
You nod slowly.
"And I suppose he just said goodnight and off you went?"
"You're correct, sir."
"And Mr. Park will vouch for this story of yours?" He taps his bottom lip with the pen he just pulled out of his pocket.
You nod. "He will because it's the truth." You're both praying and hoping you'd have a chance to speak to Jimin before he got interviewed...if he hasn't been already. God, if they found out you were lying about this, it would make you look so guilty.
"Uh-huh. One other thing…"
Fighting the frustrated growl boiling up inside you, you give him a false smile.
"Do you have any idea why someone would want to hack this software?"
You mull it over briefly, "I would imagine, seeing as it's a security breach for information, that it's to steal. Most of our clients are..." you struggle to find the appropriate wording.
"Rich." He intejects.
You nod agreeing.
"Ummm." He adds watching you, before sitting up and closing his laptop abruptly. "Ok, miss l/n, you're free to go. But we'll be in touch, I assure you."
He stands up and you quickly follow him out of the room. When he shows you the direction the exit is in he turns to face you and holds out a hand.
"It's been a pleasure, miss l/n, I know you probably won't be able to say the same, nevertheless." He shakes your hand with a half smile causing the dimple to return, somehow completely softening his face.
You nod and leave as quickly as your tired body will let you.
The cool, night air hitting your face immediately calms your panicked mind. You need to speak to Jimin but it might not be safe to do so.
"Are you ok, y/n?" A deep voice sounds from beside you, silencing all your other chaotic thoughts.
You spin and see Taehyung leaning casually against the pillar of the building smoking.
You relax at the sight of a familiar face. Jimin's personal assistant has always been friendly and kind towards you. You weren't sure but rumours in your company suggested that the two of them were even brothers, although you doubted it as they didn't resemble each other in the slightest.
"Yeah, glad to be out of there though." You reply, massaging the back of your neck.
"I bet, you've been in there a long time. I saw you leave to go to the station with them hours ago."
You nod. "It's been a long and very trying day. Are you waiting to be interviewed?"
He nods, taking a long drag, you watch as the end illuminates orange.
"Well, I hope they don't keep you in there too long."
"They shouldn't. I've been away, only got back last night. Don't see how much use I can be to them."
He flicks his cigarette into the road and closes the distance between you.
"Listen, if there's anything you need or if you just want to talk or rant, anything. Don't hesitate to give me a call." He hands you his card. "This is a tough situation for everyone, we all need someone every now and then."
His bright, boxy grin has your mouth upturning before you know it. You thank him and hail and cab. Glancing at him, you see him watching you as the car drives away, unsure as to whether he's flirting or you're reading too much into it and he's being his usual cheerful self.
You shrug it off. All you can think of is getting home, running a nice, hot bath and forgetting this day ever happened.
*****
Back to reality as you sit with your silk robe wrapped around you, your laptop positioned neatly on your thighs, going through every possible way someone could have hacked into this, looking for how they got in.
But nothing made sense, this was definitely not a hack done by someone with limited knowledge as you originally thought.
There was no trace of anything left behind, no mark that anyone had even been in. Which only means, the hack had to be someone with inside knowledge of the project already, it definitely wasn't an outside hacker.
A more alarming finding was discovering the computer used for the hack was actually yours.
But why make it so obvious where the hack took place and which computer...unless...someone is trying to frame you. This wasn't something you had realistically considered.
If you were honest, no one was even jumping out at you as a suspect. You trusted everyone in your team and everyone who helped on this project.
You sigh, massaging your temples as you try to clear your mind.
A harsh knock on the door makes you jump and you glance at your phone.
02.31.
Who on earth would be knocking at this hour?
You head over, opening the door slightly with the chain still pulled tight across, to see a man; hat pulled down covering his eyes, standing there handing you a small, brown package through the gap.
"It's from Jimin." He says quietly. You watch his mouth - the only part of his face you can see - stretch into a gummy smile, before turning and exiting the building.
Bewildered, you close the door and rip open the box. Staring at its contents and searching for some kind of note explaining what on earth this is for.
A phone.
What are you supposed to do with it?
You take it out, examining it and noticing the mistletoe background. Just like the mistletoe you first kissed Jimin under.
You jump out of your skin, fear firing an ice bolt right through you as it lights up and starts ringing.
Hesitantly, you answer. "Hello?"
"Y/n," Jimin's breathy voice sounds in your ear and sends a scattering of goosebumps across your skin. "I'm sorry for the cloak and dagger but I'm unsure if I'm being watched."
"By the police?" You ask, worried at the urgency in his voice.
"Not just them. Listen," he starts before you can interject. "I want you to know that no matter how it seems or what I say in front of other people, I do believe that you had nothing to do with this hack."
The relief that floods you has your shoulders relaxing instantly, not even aware they were tense. "I am glad to hear you say that, thank you."
"I also want to apologise, I did not mean for your involvement with me to put you at risk of any trouble."
You frown, trying to make sense of his words. "I really don't see how the two are connected."
He sighs and the urge you have to comfort him, to wrap your arms around him until his stress is eased, almost has you putting on your shoes and coat. "It doesn't matter. Things are complicated with me and it wasn't fair for me to drag you into that."
"Hey, hey," you sit down on the edge of your bed. "You didn't drag me anywhere. I'm a big girl Jimin, I can make my own decisions, last night being one of them and I definitely do not have any regrets about that."
You're met with silence as you find yourself fiddling with the bedsheets, reminiscing his touch.
"I most definitely do not regret it either." He finally says. You think you can hear a slight smile in his voice. "That was a moment I had wanted for longer than I care to admit."
His unexpected confession causes a furious blush to creep up your chest.
"I wish I could see you." The desperation in his voice makes you hot underneath your robe.
"Why don't you come over?" You ask, hesitantly biting your lower lip.
"I wish I could, lord knows I do, but I can't risk it, for your sake."
You collapse back on the bed in frustration, his scent jumps up and captures you, pulling your mind into filthy places. "My bed sheets still smell like you." You say the words before thinking them through.
"Do they?" His voice is suddenly husky and full of want. "And what is going through that impressive mind of yours?"
"You are. Your touch, your taste, how I wish to feel your perfect lips on me again." Your hand makes its way down to open your robe, cool air hitting your skin and puckering your nipples.
"Hmm-mm, and what are you doing while you're thinking about me?" He asks.
"What do you want me to do, Jimin?" You accentuate his name, knowing how much he loves it when you say it.
"Touch yourself." He whispers.
You waste no time in obeying, as your fingers travel quickly down to your throbbing clitorous. The feel of your fingertips massaging your sweet bud makes you moan.
"Oh god, this makes me want to see you even more." He groans.
You use the phone to snap a quick photo of your actions and send it to the number you're on the line too. "Incoming message, sir." You say teasingly.
"Oh, fuck," he says in the distance and instantly followed by the sound of his trouser zipper being undone. "You make me crazy." His voice is right back at your ear.
"Jimin, I wish it was my mouth around your rock hard cock."
"Me too, angel. God, what I wouldn't give to feel you around me. Tell me, what would you want me to do to you?" He grunts, the sound of him pleasuring himself causes a gush of arousal to spill from your eager hole and you spread it over yourself.
"I'd want your mouth on me...everywhere, tasting just how wet I am for you." You pant.
"Just for me?"
"Yes, all for you." You lightly trace circles over your swollen sweet spot, toes curling when he breathes your name down the phone.
"I want to be inside you, again."
"Anytime, anywhere, just tell me." You whisper, that undeniable build up already at peak point. "I'm going to cum."
"That's it angel, cum with me."
You unravel, back arching off the bed and burying your face into the sheets, relishing his scent. You hear him orgasm, repeating your name continuously. It makes you smile inside and it makes you feel powerful knowing how much he wants you.
"I have to say," he says, after you both get your breath back. "That was not the reason for me sending the phone."
You can't help but laugh at that. "What was the reason?"
He sighs again. "Mostly, to apologise and to have a way to speak to you that I know is safe. We have to be careful, now."
"Why, what are you so worried about?"
A long pause. "I can't," you can almost hear his inner turmoil, the fight with himself. "I'm just trying to protect you. You don't need to be involved."
You're about to argue but something inside you stills. If you push someone like Jimin too much, he'll only clam up further, he'll open up when he's ready...you hope.
"Keep this phone on, ok?" He pleads.
"More late night phone sex?" You tease, chewing your lip.
"I wouldn't say no," he laughs. "I do, however, just want to be able to talk to you, if that's ok?"
You nod and realise he can't see that. "Of course, anytime."
"I wouldn't say that, you'll never get me off the phone."
You feel yourself smiling like a cheshire cat, feeling like a lovesick school girl again. What has this man reduced you to?
"Goodnight y/n. Sleep well, angel." He hangs up the phone, leaving your heart stuttering and your stomach flipping with excitement. The prospect of something new on the horizon, even with all the current problems you're facing, something still seeming positive might come out of this. All you can do is hope.
******
Getting ready for work the next morning you felt conflicted, part of you was on cloud nine, drifting blissfully along on nothing but hope and dreams. The other part was dreading the work day and what it could bring, plus you still had your own discreet investigating to do.
A harsh, yet cheerful rap on your door, startled you.
Rushing to the door to see who it is, a small part clinging onto a chance it could be Jimin, only to be disappointed when you open the door and find detective Kim Namjoon staring back at you.
"Ah Miss l/n, I'm so glad I caught you before work, could I come in?" The same smug smile stretching his full lips as he leans casually against your door frame, his laptop hooked under his arm.
"Really? Right now, I'll be late for work." You reply, feeling a bit like a deer caught in headlights.
"That's ok, I've already informed your boss of your late arrival." He assures you cockily. "So, can I …?"
You grit your teeth and step out of the way, gesturing for him to enter.
You watch as he studies every inch of your living area, peering into your bedroom.
"What is it I can help you with, detective?"
He turns to you, "Ah, yes of course."
Setting his laptop down on your dining room table, hitting a few keys and spinning it round towards you. "You might want to sit down for this." He says, as he hits the play button.
You ignore him and watch.
Video footage of your office building, of you walking to your office partition specifically. You watch yourself sit in the empty building, at your computer and leave again. You look up at the detective, confusion marring your brow and he simply taps the screen where the date and time stamp are.
You follow it, and re-read it at least three times, eyes open wider than ever, as if that'll somehow help you see different numbers.
The frown creases deeper into your forehead as your brain catches up with the fact that the video shows you, alone in the building, at the exact time and date of the hack.

Chapter 2–
You knew that if anyone outside of this car saw you right now, you might just pass away. To put it simply: You were sitting on Killua's lap.
All because Kite's truck only fit seven people.
The way this predicament came about would have been comical if it weren't for your burning embarrassment. Unfortunately, you could remember very clearly how it all unfolded:
"Hmm, it seems that there aren't enough seats for all eight of us, so one person will have to squish in," Kite said, opening the car door to check the seats.
"Who's the smallest one here?" Gon asked. All seven pairs of eyes turned to look at you.
Great. The benefits of never having had your growth spurt.
Killua was the one to open his mouth, snickering, "Obviously it's Y/N. She's like a midget!"
"Killua, you are literally an entire 2 ½ feet shorter than Kite over there," you defended yourself.
From a distance, you had guessed Kite was around 6'3. Once you got a closer look at him, you discovered that he towered over you like a skyscraper. Your curiosity got the best of you and naturally, you had asked him what his height was. The man was a whopping 7 foot 10.
"It's okay Y/N, you can squish with me," Gon offered.
Killua shook his head. "No way. Squishing will just make everyone uncomfortable. It's better if only one person suffers. Y/N, you can sit on my lap."
He had left no room for argument. Sighing, you knew that even if you tried, you had no say in this anymore. You would just have to suck it up for the next 4 hours.
Now you were here, sitting on him, worrying about whether you were cutting the circulation off to his legs or not. Or perhaps you were too bony and it was hurting him.
You could feel his warm breath on your neck, and it sent goosebumps across your entire body. This was beyond awkward.
"Stop it," Killua muttered, right in your ear.
Oh, you'd done it now, hadn't you? Killua was gonna push you off onto Gon instead.
"Stop what?"
"You're so stiff, just...relax," he paused, "I don't mind sitting this way."
Hearing his voice so close to you sent butterflies fluttering in your stomach.
Maybe this was okay.
You untensed, trying to adjust yourself to a more comfortable position, but the bumpy car ride wasn't making it very easy. Kite ran over a rock, and without a seatbelt it sent you jerking upwards. Thanks to his fast reflexes, Killua gripped your waist, holding you tightly to his body.
"The seatbelt won't reach over the both of us, but this'll keep you from flying."
"Heh, thanks Killua. I think we should reach the beach in a bit..." you said, hoping that the thought of it being over soon might offer him some relief.
It doesn't matter who it is, being this close to someone could send anyone into a frenzy. You were hyper-aware of every one of his fingers grasping onto your waist. He wasn't lying. He was keeping you right there.
You'd just have to stop thinking about it, you told yourself. Or else you'd go crazy.
Trying to relax back into Killua like he had asked, you let your mind wander to the reason you were driving in the first place. The day before, the three of you had decided to stick with Kite and help him investigate the Chimera ants. The beach you were headed to now is supposed to have a clue about where the ant queen is located, so you could bring an end to the destruction before it starts. During the car ride, you had learned they were a truly deadly species. One bite of an innocent passerby, and they had the means to bring the entire human race to extinction.
You felt like something was starting. And your intuition was rarely wrong.
Gazing at Gon who had been talking with Kite for a while now, you noticed how his eyes crinkle into little smiles whenever he talks. You knew that having Kite around, his father's best friend, surely excited him to the bone. Gon was just oozing with optimism, without even trying. You could tell that just by being himself, he was keeping the spirits up of all eight in the group, not allowing any room for doubt or fear to creep into anyone's minds.
At that moment, you swore that whatever happened, you would be there to protect Gon and Killua. Even if it costs you everything.
Hopefully, this wasn't one of your friends' last few moments of tranquility. But if it was, you were determined to spend it well.
Resting your head against Killua, you hoped that he wouldn't mind if you indulged in this for just a moment. You were tired, having not gotten much rest since completing Greed Island and meeting Kite.
It didn't take much time for you to fall asleep to the rise and fall of Killua's steady breathing and his sweet vanilla scent. If you'd been awake, you might have even heard his heartbeat racing beneath you.
⋯✰⋯
You had finally reached the beach.
Killua had nudged you awake once you'd gotten there. You remembered how his blue eyes stared back at you as he poked your face, calling you an idiot for falling asleep, and you chuckled.
There was one thing you were clueless about; Killua had made sure not to move even once the whole rest of the car ride. He was nervous that he might disturb your peacefully sleeping form.
You were still pretty groggy as you looked out at the sea, the bright sun reflecting on the ocean's surface. You wanted to wiggle your toes in the sand, but you were there for a reason. To find anything that might lead to the Queen.
You searched in bushes, behind rocks, under seashells, and even used your nen to sift through as much sand as you could. So far, the group had ruled out the forest and deemed it difficult to know if the ant even ended up on the same island. That's when they decided to release the hellhound. Well- it wasn't a hellhound. It was the little dog you played with yesterday. Along with Gon.
Gon was following behind the dog on all floors, sniffing the ground as he went.
"He can do that?" You asked no one in particular.
"His nose is as sharp as a dog's," Killua responded, watching Gon with an amused look in his eye.
A couple minutes went by with no luck. The only thing the dog had found was a tree to pee on. It looked like the ant wasn't going to be on this island, though Kite had an idea.
"It may have washed ashore somewhere else. Which direction do the currents flow here?" Kite asked the two that had brought us down to the beach. One was short with brown skin and grey hair that sprouted up like hay, while the other had large glasses and two front teeth poking out from his mouth.
"The direction is reversed between day and night. And it also changes with the seasons. I've even heard it's different on certain days. So it'll be tough to pinpoint a location..." said Chipmunk Teeth. That's what you'd call him, since you hadn't gotten his name.
So basically, no one had any idea on how to find the Chimera Ant Queen.
"Continuing to search blindly is pointless. We should return to YorkNew and see if we can find any new leads there."
You heard the group around you agreeing with Kite. He and his friends began walking back to the truck already, but you stayed put. You would catch up to them later.
The ocean reminded you of your home. You thought you should say goodbye to it first.
Ripples of water lapped gently at your feet. You always had a connection with nature. Having lived in a small village located in the middle of a jungle most of your life, the earth had become your dearest friend. One of your earliest memories was from exploring the coves back at home. You stretched out your arm across the water, and watched the liquid softly rise to your hand as you called it.
That's why you chose this nen ability. It tied you to the elements. When you fought with it, together you were one body.
"Y/N, come on! Kite's threatening to leave without you," Gon waved you over. Taking one last look at the sea, you turned away.
The sun was already setting by the time you left for the city.
⋯✰⋯
Going back to YorkNew was the right decision. Now you all knew where to look.
Kite had discovered that the possibilities of the Chimera Ant landing in NGL were the highest. Apparently, NGL was a country populated with people who wanted to get away from machine civilization and live in nature.
You loved nature too, but you thought that was a little extreme. There was a reason you had to leave your beloved jungle behind.
"There may very well be a giant swarm of Chimera Ants already hunting humans down. If that's the case, my top priority will be saving them. You must be able to protect yourselves," Kite warned us.
"And if I am the one in trouble, you should escape without me."
At that, Gon and Killua looked unsettled. But backing down now was not an option.
"Got it," you said, breaking the silence and offering a kind nod to Kite, "and until the very last moment, the three of us will have your back."
"Yeah!" The other two boys concurred.
Now, you sat with Gon and Killua on an airship to NGL. The three of you were sitting on a bench, looking out of a window that framed velvet-peach clouds displaying brilliant silver linings.
Gon was reflecting on their last conversation with Kite.
"You said that Ging had a reason for bringing me and Kite together," he rested his arms and head on the window-frame.
Killua broke his sight from the clouds and looked at Gon.
"Yeah, I did."
"You're probably right. I don't know the reason, but I can't give up halfway, no matter what's going on. Otherwise, I'll disappoint Ging... And I'd never be able to forgive myself either. So I won't run away," Gon continued, resolved with his decision.
There was a moment of silence as the three of you let his words sink in.
You admired Gon's determination, but you hated that Ging had a son risking his life just to avoid disappointing a dad he's never met.
"Man, you had this totally serious expression, so I was expecting something big. But it's just business as usual," Killua smiled.
"Huh?" Gon's mouth hung open. "I thought about this a lot, I even ran a bunch of mental simulations! And I liked what Y/N said earlier, about having Kite's back until the very end."
"Think all you want, but you'll still be Gon. If someone said to abandon them, you'd never do it," You lightly punched his shoulder.
He pouted, cradling where you hit him, and you rolled your eyes.
"Drama queen."
Gon chose to ignore that and turned back to Killua. "Then what would you do?'"
"I'm a spontaneous guy, so I'd think about it once the time comes."
"So, you'd run away?" Gon questioned.
"Depends. I can't say until it actually happens."
"Say for instance..."
Killua threw his hands up, beat, "I can't tell you what I'd do in a hypothetical situation!"
"Then, what about you Y/N?"
"Gon!" You whined.
Truth be told, you hadn't thought about what you would do. It depended like Killua said. But you did know one thing...
"I would never leave you two behind. Even if that meant I'd have to die."

Kinktober 2020, Day Eleven
Warning: Food Kink, Oral (Receiving), biting.
You watched as Eijirou played some game online with the Bakusquad, talking to them through his mic.
"Well, I guess Bakugou was a crew mate!" You heard him laugh. So it was Among Us.
Nonetheless, he'd been playing all day. You're not exaggerating either. From 10 AM in the morning to now, 11 PM at night. All day.
Of course you were fine with him playing for a while, but you began to miss him. I mean, sure, you could sit with him but he'd be distracted. And you could play with him, but you didn't know the rest of the group very well yet. You'd feel like a third wheel.
So, you had to come up with a way to get his attention, even for a moment. Glancing at the kitchen, a thought came to mind. A messy thought, but a thought nonetheless. So, you went to take a shower first. You didn't bother getting redressed.
Going in the kitchen, you quietly sat yourself on the table.. Next to the whip cream and honey. You'd used them for breakfast that morning and forgot about them, until now that is.
It was odd, purposely making yourself messy, but you covered your nipples, stomach, thighs, and one side of your neck in whipped creamed. Then you drizzled the honey over the cream and the other side of your neck.
Grinning, you cleared your throat, doing the sweetest voice you could. "Eiji! Can you come in here please? I need help!"
Eijirou, hearing that you needed some form of help, quickly told the others he'd be AFK (Away From Keyboard). You could hear his footsteps quickly approaching the kitchen. "You okay, Peb.. ble?"
He looked you with wide eyes, a blush fanned across his face. You simply gave an innocent pout. "Daddy, I think I made a mess of myself."
He slowly walked over, his intentions with you changing as the situation processed. "I can see that, Babygirl. What are we gonna do about it?"
"I.. I want Daddy to clean me up." You gave pleading eyes, knowing you already had him.
Eijirou chuckled softly before nodding. "Anything for you, Babygirl." He leaned down and licked over one of your nipples before taking it into his mouth, the sensation causing you to shiver.
He moaned around the bud in satisfaction before pulling off with a pop and continuing to the next. Whining softly, you curled your fingers into his hair as he rolled his tongue over it between his lips.
Feeling his sharp teeth press into the sensitive area, you gasped sharply. "E-Eiji!" The sound of his name spilling from your lips was enough to make him growl, sinking his teeth in just enough.
"I- Daddy! I-I mean Daddy!" You stutter, realizing your mistake. His teeth are removed, instead replaced by his tongue, smoothing over the area.
He allows his to tongue to travel up your chest and to your collar, then he moves on to lick at the cream. You squeak quietly as he finds your sensitive spot, kissing and sucking at his harshly.
All of the attention he gives your body causes you to press your thighs together in frustration. You love it, god you love the attention. But it's also extremely difficult.
You go to reach between your legs but Eijirou notices, quickly catching your hands. "Uh uh, Pebble. You wanted my attention, right? Now you got it. And I don't need you distracting yourself."
He switched over to the other side of your neck, keeping your hands pinned on either side of you. You squirm at his grip, but you know you're not getting freed.
Now, licking at the honey, Eijirou hums softly. "Be a good girl and stay still for me. I'd hate yo punish you.
As fun as that sounds, you really need some relief. Biting your lip, you force yourself to stop squirming. As he removes your hand, you keep yours to your sides. He smiles, giving your neck one last kiss. "Good girl."
You watched as he moves back down, kissing and licking down your stomach. "Daddy, can I please touch you?" You whimper softly. He shakes his head and smirks. "Not yet. Hands on the table." And you hold back a whine at the response.
He then proceeded to lick at your thighs, only faster this time. He needed to get a taste of you before going any further, he was craving it.
Once finished, he grabbed under your knees and pushed your legs open, not that you were stopping him. He gave light, feathery kisses to your thighs then your lower lips. You squeezed the edge of the table in frustration. "Please, please, Daddy, I need it so bad!" You could feel yourself blushing from embarrassment.
Eijirou smiled at you before giving a slow, long lick between your folds. Your head fell back and you mewled softly at the tingling sensation it left. Glancing up at you, he moaned at the taste. "I never thought you could get any sweeter, you know." He murmered quietly before enveloping your clit in his lips.
You couldn't take your eyes off him, noises falling your lips and into his head like music as his tongue dipped into your tight cunt. He could feel his cock in his pants, straining against the fabric. Reaching down, he quickly freed himself before giving long, quick strokes.
You noticed and practically drooled at the thought of his cock stretching out your pussy. Eijirou hummed groaned as your walls fluttered around his tongue. Looking up to meet your gaze, he noticed your eyes focused on his arm.
Pulling away, he leaned up to claim your lips. You quickly kissed back, tasting yourself and the sweets Eijirou had tasted on the way.
Gripping your thighs, he yanked you to the edge of the table. You broke the kiss with a short gasp and Eijirou smiled. "You want my cock?" He said, his tone taunting. Giving quick nods, you looked down at it.
Eijirou took your chin onto his fingers and forced your eyes back on his. "How badly?" He pressed. Taking a chance, you reached between you both and took him into your hand. His eyes fluttered as you gave him earnest pumps. "So bad, so bad, Daddy. I need it, please let me have it." You begged, voice trembling with desperation.
He growled and pushed your hand away, taking himself into his hands and positioning his cock at your entrance. Looking each other's eyes, you watched each other's reactions as he plunged into your waiting heat.
You both let noises of satisfaction escape, Eijirou's head falling to your shoulder. You allowed yourself hands to settle on his shoulders as your legs wrapped around his waist. He gripped you thighs before rocking his hips into yours.
Holding each other close, he kept his pace slow and steady. With all of that build-up, he knew it wouldn't take too long for either of you to cum. He wanted to relish the moment, take in the feeling of your warm walls squeezing him just right.
"Fuck, so fuckin tight, Pebble. So fuckin wet. How long were you waiting for this?" He mumbled into your flesh. You gripped his shirt, pulling him against you. "So long, waited so long. Wanted Daddy's cock so bad." You sobbed, clinging to him.
He groaned loudly, snaking his arms around your waist. "Gonna milk Daddy's cock like a good girl? Huh?" He growled. You quickly nodded, burying your face in his chest. "So close.." You whimpered.
He sped up his thrusts, knowing the both of you were close anyway. You gasped and wailed in pleasure as you tipped over the edge, the knot in your stomach coming undone. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!"
Eijirou moaned deeply as your walls constricted, pushing him to his own release. He pushed deep inside you, filling you up until his seed dripped from your twitching cunt.
After his thrusts slowed to a stop, he kissed the side of your head. ".. Fuck.. Sorry, babe. If I knew you needed me so badly.."
You smiled softly and looked up at him. "As long as I've got you for the rest of the night." You leaned up and kissed his cheek. He returned your smile. "Let's take a shower, yeah?"
~~~~
The rest of the Bakusquad, save for Bakugou, cheered on Kiri. "You're doing great, Kiri!" Mina yelled.
Sero laughed and grinned. "I don't think he knows he left the mic on."
Kaminari snickered in laughter. "Wait till we see him next! Wait, where's Bakugou?"
They didn't know, Bakugou was spent on his bed after pumping his cock to the sound of yours and Eijirou's moans.
When you woke up the next morning you felt a discomfort between your legs. Your core hurt, but it was nothing compared to when Kai had his way with you. kai roughly took you. He didn't take the time to let you get aroused, he just dove right in and got himself off without care about whether you were enjoying it or not. He didn't listen when you said no, instead, he forced you to give in. He forced himself on you and coerced you, then he left you to clean up the mess.
Dabi gently took you. He took his time and paid attention. He asked you if he was hurting you, he asked you if what he was doing was okay. He made sure you were aroused when he took you. He was kind but he still got you in just the right spots making you crave more. He was attentive and made it enjoyable. Unlike your mysophobic captor, he cleaned you up.
When you woke up, Dabi's cum was not dripping from your body like last night. You were worried you'd wake up to dry cum crusted on your skin, but he had cleaned you up. Not only had he cleaned you up from his ejaculation, but he had put clothes on you. Instead of being naked, you wore a long-sleeved pajama shirt and jogging pants. As you felt the bedding you noticed he had changed the sheets and blankets from your sinful acts of the previous night. You must've been really out of it because you hadn't woke up. Whether it was from him wearing you out from your activities, or the fact you hadn't felt so safe sleeping in such a long time remained a mystery.
You pulled yourself out of bed, wincing slightly at the pain. It was more bearable than what Kai was capable of doing to you, and once you stopped thinking about the pain you barely noticed it. You couldn't lie that it hurt Dabi wasn't there when you woke up, but you knew that had someone caught Dabi in your bedroom like that it would cause hell for you both. Sure Dabi was supposed to watch you, but if he was seen leaving your room so early in his clothes from the day before it would arise suspicious questions. He would have to return to your room in the late morning when people could witness him coming to watch you in an innocent matter.
Despite that rational thinking, you couldn't help but wonder if he regretted last night at all. As you slipped on clean fresh clothes you couldn't help but wonder if he meant his words to you. You couldn't help but ponder on if he meant them with honesty. You carried such baggage and trouble with you, a relationship together would be so troublesome for him.
A knock on the door broke you out of your reverie. You quickly pulled your shirt down as you spoke out through the closed door.
"Who is it?"
"It's Dabi."
You tried to slow down the heart palpations you received as you briskly walked over to the door and opened it. Just the sound of his deep voice brought electricity to every fiber of your body but seeing him standing in the doorway made you smile. He came back.
"Hey."
Dabi stepped inside your room and closed the door behind him. He was quick to pull you against his chest, his warmth completely engulfing you. You were relishing in his touch so much you hadn't realized tears were beginning to escape your eyes and drip onto his shirt. You hadn't realized up until Dabi pulled away and tilted your head up with his hands. His long fingers hooked behind your ears and his warm thumbs pushed away your tears.
"What's wrong? Did I accidentally hurt you?"
"No, no you didn't. I'm sorry. I just- I know why you had to leave... But I was worried you regretted it. Regretted last night."
Your tone hushed and got quiet as you mumbled out the last part. Due to your proximity, Dabi still heard it. He pulled you against his chest again. His hold was tighter, more protective but not hurtful.
"Doll, I didn't regret it."
"Are you sure? I wouldn't blame you. I know what complications come with me and you're not obligated to stick around just because I gave myself to you."
"Baby doll, I don't intend to leave. I'm staying and gettin' both you and Eri out. I meant what I said last night."
Your head rested against Dabi's chest as you let out a sigh of relief. You breathed in Dabi's scent of smoke, cigarettes, and sulfur. They were bad smells, yet they brought comfort and safety to your stomach. You lifted your head off of his chest and plopped your lips onto his. It was such a normal action, but it was so foreign. It had been so long since you willingly incited such a romantic action. It was wrong to do it with Dabi when you were dating Kai, albeit forcefully, but it was so right. When you were pulled against his chest, in his arms, you couldn't care to give Kai a single thought. You couldn't be bothered to care if it was morally wrong or right to cheat on a relationship that was forced on you.
Kai was wrong. All the words he'd spoken to you. All the phrases and hurtful words he spits out. Every time he said no one could love you. Every time he said he was the only one who could love you. He was wrong, it was all wrong. Dabi could love you. Dabi did love you.
"I was half asleep when I said it... but I meant what I said too."
Dabi dipped his head down to your ear and gave it a light nibble before whispering roughly, leaving tickles down your eardrum and cochlea.
"I really do love you. I know it's early to say that... But you make me feel things. I'm so closed off, but you make me want to tell you everything about myself."
"Then tell me. You know so much about me, you know about Eri and my mother... I wanna know more about you."
Dabi pulls out of your embrace but keeps a hand in yours. He lightly tugs you along with him to your bed. Once he sits down on the fluffy blankets, he pulls you on top of his lap.
"What do you want to know, doll?"
Your hands came up and played with Dabi's hair as you nestled your body against his. Eliciting a smile from Dabi, you lightly tugged and pulled, but not in the same manner as the night before. It was nice to be able to just touch and love without getting hurt.
"Everything. I wanna know everything about you Dabi."
"God, I don't know where to start... I guess I'll start with my childhood."
Dabi wrapped his arms around your waist, one arm around your back and the other across your lap. His warm hands gripped your thigh and waist as he spoke out his words to you. Dabi had briefly mentioned before that his father was abusive, that his father was mean but he escaped out. You couldn't imagine Dabi as a child, he looked so rough with his scars and staples it was hard to imagine him in a setting where he was young, innocent, and fresh.
"Back then I went by Touya."
"Touya... I like that. Why did you stop using it?"
"My father picked it out. He demanded that he pick it out because I was destined to surpass him, his opinion changed after I received my quirk. When I left home I wanted nothing to do with him. I dyed my hair- it was red then - and I changed my name."
"I bet you looked nice with red hair."
"Mm, I was quite the fox in high school, all the ladies loved me. I never gave them the time of day. It's not something I'm proud of, but I used them for a quick screw and then I'd forget their number."
Your chest tightened as his words registered in your brain. You knew Dabi had a bad reputation. He's a villain, some sort of bad merit comes with that. Hearing him say it was different. How could you be sure you weren't going to be one of those girls? Then again, Dabi hadn't hit you like Kai and if he had ill intent why would he be sitting here telling you about his past. Almost as if he noticed your hesitation in your brain, Dabi dug his fingers in you tighter and pulled you against him closer.
"It's different with you. You like me even though I am a villain, you like me despite my scars and staples. Those girls in high school didn't want me, they wanted Touya. They wanted his status. They wanted his wealth. They wanted Touya, the eldest Todoroki sibling."
"Todoroki... Todoroki as in Endeavor, like the hero?"
"Enji Todoroki is my father, but he is not a hero."
Before Kai closed you off from the world you'd seen Endeavor on the news a lot. As the number two hero, he made lots of appearances. With All Might's lack of recent activity, Endeavor began taking the spotlight more. Although he wasn't your favorite hero, you thought he was one of the greats. As Dabi gripped onto you tightly he made a face, a face of fear. He looked scared and nervous to be talking about the man who raised him. Endeavor saved people, but clearly, there was a dark presence behind the man.
"He was obsessed with surpassing All Might. When my quirk showed up he was less than happy, he pressured my mom into having more kids, more weapons for him to use. My mother gave birth to my sister Fuyumi, my brother Natsuo, then finally she had Shouto."
It was like Dabi's breath hitched in his throat. He had a hard time letting the words out. He hadn't ever told anyone about his childhood. In school, he never allowed himself to be close to anyone, and he never uttered a word to a soul in the league.
"Shouto had both of my parents quirks, and to Enji that was valuable. He separated my brother from me and my siblings, forced him to train to become a hero at a very young age. He abused my mother when she tried to stop him, physically and mentally. She couldn't bear to look at me, behind I looked so much like him."
You pulled Dabi's head against your neck and he was quick to bury himself inside it. He let out a few sobs, but they were muffled against your skin. His tears streamed down his face as he pulled back to finish talking.
"Eventually she snapped. She threw a pot of boiling water down Shouto's face, the side of him that looked like Enji. He threw her in a mental institution. I was twelve, and I had to help raise Fuyumi, Natsou, and Shouto. I was just twelve, and I had to cook dinners. I was twelve and I had to help Natsuo with his math homework. I was twelve and I watched Enji train my brother so hard he threw up, and when I tried to stop him I would get beat."
"Oh, Dabi..."
"When I turned seventeen he became tamer. He never beat Fuyumi, she was his soft spot, and he never beat Natsuo... I think his face reminded him too much of my mom. They stopped needing me, so I left. I faked my suicide and left. I still keep tabs on them. My sister is a teacher, still living at home to take care of him. Natsuo's in college, and Shouto's in the prestigious UA."
Dabi moved his hands from your thigh to your face. He cupped your cheeks and brought his lips to yours.
"I hate my father for the abuse. I hate him so much, but to stay in the game long enough for my siblings to stay safe, I had to play the game. I had to lay down and place my cheek up until they were old enough to stand up and defend themselves, old enough to not need me."
"You don't deserve that. No one deserves that."
"You don't deserve it, but I need you to do it. I need you to play Kai's game. Pretend that you want him. Pretend you can't get enough of him. Pretend your so in love. We need him to get laxer. The laxer he is, the easier--safer it'll be to get you and Eri out. To survive the games you gotta play the game."
You mirrored Dabi's actions by pressing your lips back against his. Your kisses held passion and love. Your hand came up and caressed his cheek softly, skimming lightly over his staples, unsure if it was a soft and sensitive or not.
"I'll do it Dabi. I'll hate every minute of it, but I'll do it. I'll stop fighting, give in, embrace it. I'll play Kai's game."
