Found Family (Upstead + Teenager)
A/N: I'm back! This idea was totally random, and I just went with it. But, I hope you like it, and please remember to reblog and comment!
Enjoy!
Hailey groaned as she rolled over and tried to find her phone.
"We got a case?" Jay grumbled from beside her.
Finally, she found it and jumped out of bed when she saw the name on the screen.
"I take that as a yes," Jay said.
"No," she said quickly, then answered and left the room. "Y/N, is everything okay?" she asked as she made her way into the kitchen and turned on the light.
"Yes." But Hailey could hear the tremble in your voice. "No. I don't- I don't know."
"Okay, can you tell me what's going on?" Hailey asked gently like she had done when you were six years old and fell off the monkey bars at the park and she had to ask you what was hurting.
"My mom and dad are out of town for a business trip and it's my first time being home alone overnight. I thought I'd be fine, but I guess I'm not. I didn't know who else to call."
"Oh, honey," she said, using the name she used to call you when she was comforting you as a kid. "I shouldn't have to work tomorrow unless we get a big case, so do you want me to come over?"
"You'd do that?" you asked.
"Of course. I just need to pack a bag and I'll be there in, at the latest, an hour," Hailey told you.
"Okay. Thank you so much, Hailey. I don't know what I'd do without you."
"Hey, best friends forever, right?" she asked, referencing the pinky promise the two of you had made when she was eighteen and you were eight.
"Best friends forever," you repeated.
Hailey ended the call and walked back into her and Jay's bedroom and then into the bathroom to splash her face with some water and rinse her mouth with mouthwash. She'd only be sleeping there, so she didn't need to get totally ready, but she still needed to appear at least halfway put together.
"What was that about?" Jay asked as he wrapped his arms around Hailey's waist while she swished mouthwash in her mouth.
She spit the mouthwash into the sink. "It was Y/N."
"I thought you said her and her family were in the Hamptons?"
"They got back like a week ago. And now they left on a business trip and left Y/N home and it's her first time home alone overnight and she's a little anxious, so I'm gonna go stay with her."
"Once the babysitter, always the babysitter," Jay chirped.
Hailey rolled her eyes. "Shut up."
"When do I get to meet this great kid anyway?" Jay asked and Hailey just shrugged. "How about breakfast tomorrow? Whenever you two wake up, just text me and we can meet somewhere."
"I don't know, Jay."
"Why not? You've known this girl for ten years. And, didn't you say that she said she got a say in who you married?"
Hailey laughed. Throughout their partnership--and now relationship--she had told him a few stories of her adventures when she was babysitting you. "She said that when she was like ten and I was twenty. Six years ago. I doubt she remembers it."
"Still. So, breakfast tomorrow?" he pestered.
"I'll talk to Y/N about it."
***
Hailey sent you a text when she pulled in so you knew it was her the minute she knocked on the door.
"Sorry," you apologized once more. "I shouldn't have called you, I should've just dealt with it--"
"Y/N, it's no big deal. You're like a little sister to me." It was then that you noticed the two Starbucks drinks in her hands. "I grabbed us tea lattes and figured we could watch tv until you fell asleep."
You nodded and grabbed a few extra blankets.
"So," Hailey started as you flipped to Netflix, "you have a boyfriend?"
You laughed. "That's how this is gonna go?"
"Hey, if I remember correctly, I was the one who taught you how to use a tampon, so I should be the one to know about your love life."
"I thought we agreed not to talk about that!" You paused to take a sip of your tea latte. "But, to answer your question, my love life is nonexistent. What about you? And you can't back out, remember? We made a pinky promise and those are legally binding."
"I don't think that's how it works, but I am seeing someone," she answered.
You put down your drink, your full attention now on Hailey. "Seeing someone like casually," you began and wiggled your eyebrows, "or seeing someone like seriously?"
"It's my partner, Jay," Hailey answered. "Pretty sure I've mentioned him a few times."
"Wait, was he the one that got hurt last year?"
"That's the one."
"Oooh! I have to come up with a ship name for you two! Wait, is he cute? Please tell me he's cute. I can't ship you two if he isn't cute."
"Y/N, slow down. You're supposed to be relaxing and going to bed."
"Right, right. But, it's the weekend, so..." you trailed off.
Hailey sighed. "Fine. And, what's a ship name?"
"You know, like for Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, it was Jelena. So, maybe Jailey? Wait, no that sounds like how it was with Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus when they were shipped in these fanfictions."
Hailey laughed. "I forgot how much you liked Bieber."
"Ahh, middle school me," you sighed. "Before I got obsessed with tv shows instead."
"What's the current show you're watching? Isn't it a cop show?"
"I'm working through all three of the FBIs and then I plan on watching NCIS: Los Angeles," you answered. "But, now with school, there's not much time."
"Yeah, how's school going?"
"Don't change the subject! I need to see a picture of this Jay guy. First, we talk about your boyfriend, then we talk about me and school because your love life is way more interesting than me and school."
Hailey pulled out her phone. "Fine. This is Jay."
She showed you her lock screen which was a picture of her and Jay and they were both smiling like idiots and had on their police blues.
"Okay, okay," you said and nodded approvingly. "He's cute! Is he nice? Does he open the door for you?"
"Y/N, he's my partner at work and I trust him with my life. Of course, he's nice! As for the door thing, he does that when we find the time to go on dates."
"What's his last name?"
Hailey raised an eyebrow. "Why?"
"Because I can't use your guys' first names for your ship name, so I have to go with your last names." She raised an eyebrow at you. "Fine. And I need to find his Instagram."
She rolled her eyes. "Of course you do. His last name's Halstead."
"Hmm," you hummed. "Hailey Halstead. Has a nice ring to it."
Hailey threw her head back and laughed. "We are not even close to thinking about marriage. We just started dating two months ago."
"Two months! You kept this from me for two months!"
"Well, I couldn't exactly just call up the girl I used to babysit and say Hey, Y/N, guess what? I have a boyfriend now, could I?"
"Rude. I thought we were besties, now I'm just the girl who you used to babysit?"
"You know what I mean.."
"Fine. Upton, Halstead. Halton. No, that sounds weird." You furrowed your eyebrows. You took ship names very seriously. Then, you got it. "How about Upstead? That sounds good, right?"
"I mean, I'll never use it, so sure."
"Upstead it is!"
Hailey laughed. "Ahh, to be a kid again."
"You're not old, Hailey."
"Thanks, kiddo. But I am 27."
"That's not old. Old is when you're thirty. You have three years left."
"Thanks. Real nice, Y/N, real nice."
You smiled and picked your drink back up. "I try."
"Now, onto you. How's school?"
You threw your head back and groaned. "Ugh, don't even get me started."
"That bad, huh?" Hailey asked with a smile while trying to hold back her laughter about how dramatic you were being.
"Five AP classes, yeah, I'd call it bad."
"Jesus, Y/N. Which ones are you taking?"
"Let's see. AP Spanish, AP stats, AP bio, AP lit, and AP anatomy and physiology."
"Wow. You're smarter than I ever was."
"Not really," you shrugged. "I just need to get out of here."
Hailey put that in the back of her mind to ask you about later. She knew that your parents were never around and that you felt lonely, but she didn't realize the extent of your feelings about it until now.
"Well, me and Jay have a spare bedroom, so you're welcome to stay with us anytime," she said. Which, maybe she should've talked to Jay about this before offering, but oh well.
"Wait, didn't you guys just start dating a few months ago? And you already moved in together?"
"We've been partners for two years now. That's why you should always be friends before you start dating."
"Yeah, that's what my parents say anyway." You rolled your eyes. "Do as they say and not what they do," you mumbled.
"What was that?"
"It's just my parents...ugh," you trailed off as tears stung your eyes. You put your drink back down and pressed the heels of your hands to your eyes.
You felt the couch dip beside you and then felt Hailey wrap an arm around you. "Y/N, what's going on?"
"I know my dad's cheating on my mom."
"Honey, I'm so sorry," Hailey said and started to rub your back as a few tears rolled down your cheeks.
You took a deep breath and looked up at her. "I even mentioned it to her and you know what she told me?" you asked rhetorically. "She told me that she was cheating on my dad and that they didn't even want me! They just stayed together for me, but they didn't want me in the first place!"
Hailey didn't know what to say, so she just sat there and held you while you let it all out.
"That's why I'm trying so hard in school," you said finally. "They're rich, but I don't want their money when I go to college. I want to do it all on my own." After all that, you were exhausted, so you just said, "Can we watch tv now?"
"Yeah," Hailey agreed. "We can. And, we can go out for brunch with Jay tomorrow because he wants to meet you."
"Why?"
"Because I told him about our pinky promise, so he thinks it's only fair that you meet him in person."
***
"How did you get to babysitting her anyway?" Jay asked after the three of you had ordered your breakfasts at a local diner the next day.
"I never told you that?" Hailey asked.
"No, you never told me that!" Jay exclaimed and then tapped his forehead. "It's like a vault up here; I'd remember if you told me."
Hailey patted him on the shoulder. "Just like you remembered to put the truck in park before we jumped out after a suspect."
"Hey! That was one time!"
"Yeah, because you looked back and saw your truck rolling down a hill in the Gold Coast."
"Wait, that was you guys?" you asked. "I heard some people at school talking about something like that. Were you in front of a coffee shop?"
Hailey just started laughing and Jay pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Oh, God," he muttered.
"Is there a video?" Hailey laughed.
"Probably."
"Hailey's never letting me drive again. Scratch that, Voight's never letting me drive again!"
"If you let me get the kitchen towels I want instead of the ugly brown ones you wanted, we never have to talk about this again," Hailey suggested.
"Deal!" he quickly agreed.
You laughed and shook your head. "Hailey, I approve."
At this, Hailey started laughing because Jay all of a sudden had a confused look on his face.
"Approve of what?" he asked. "Me?"
Hailey nodded her head as she continued to laugh.
Once her laughter died down, she said, "We made a pinky promise years ago that Y/N had to approve of who I was dating."
"Well, I'm glad I live up to her standards," Jay said without missing a beat. "Now, are you two ever gonna tell me how Hailey ended up babysitting you?"
You looked at Hailey. "I was six," you said. "So, I really don't know. How did that happen anyway?"
"My mom volunteered me," Hailey explained. "I was working in the kitchen of my parents' restaurant when my mom came back and asked if I wanted to babysit. She said two of our regulars were looking for a babysitter for their six-year-old daughter and mentioned me. She said I should go out on the floor and meet them. They gave me the job on the spot and the next day, I went over to meet you."
You furrowed your eyebrows, deep in thought as you tried to extract an old memory. "Did you bring donuts that day? Because I think I remember it."
"I did," Hailey confirmed. "Loukoumades. Greek donuts."
"Must be a thing with you," Jay said. "The first day you were officially part of Intelligence, that's what you brought."
"Maybe I shouldn't have because now you want them every weekend."
"So, how'd you two meet?" you asked.
"She walked into a bank and told me and my team to get the hell out."
Hailey whacked him on the chest. "Jay! I did not!"
"Maybe you didn't say it exactly like that. You were all like This is my crime scene," he mocked in a high-pitched voice.
"Because it was! Robbery-homicide was first on scene and there was a robbery and a homicide, therefore, it was my case."
"And then, after some arguing," Jay continued, "we worked together on the case and then there was an opening in Intelligence--our unit--and she took it. We got partnered up, and the rest is history, I guess."
"You're leaving out the part where you got shot, which made me realize my feelings. And, you better not do that again."
"You got shot?" you exclaimed.
"Yeah, it happens."
Hailey rolled her eyes. "You can play it off like it was nothing, but we both know it wasn't. Just, don't do it again."
Then Jay's phone buzzed and he glanced down at it.
"Case?" Hailey asked.
Jay quickly turned his phone on silent. "Just Will. I'll get it later."
In the short time the phone screen was lit up after the call was over, you saw Jay's background. It was of him and Hailey at a Blackhawks game.
"You like the Hawks?" you asked.
"Who doesn't?" Jay replied.
"Ugh, you two are so alike," Hailey groaned. "She could talk about hockey for hours, Jay."
"Really?" Jay asked, and you nodded.
Then, the two of you talked hockey for a few minutes.
"So, are you excited for opening night in a couple weeks?" he asked.
"Yeah! I actually have season tickets--well, my dad does--but I can't go because stupid homecoming is on that day."
Jay looked at Hailey and then back to you. "I thought girls liked homecoming."
"Maybe if I went to a public school, but try going to a fancy private school. It's all about who can spend the most money on their dress, dinner, a limo, who has the best refreshments in the limo. It's exhausting. Sometimes, I wish I went to public school."
"Ahh," Jay waved his hand, trying to make you feel better. "Public school's not that great. I can guarantee you, a private school DJ at a dance, is definitely better than a public school DJ. That's why I skipped most of my dances to--" he quickly cut himself off. "Nope, can't say that."
Hailey's jaw dropped, but she quickly recovered. "Let me guess, you and Will got wasted."
Jay chuckled. "Something like that." Then, he turned back to you. "Will's my older brother by the way."
"Oh, okay." You always wished you had a sibling. Preferably an older brother or an older sister to drive you around places and get fast food in the middle of the night with and who you could rant about your mom and dad with. But, you didn't have that. The closest thing you had to that was Hailey.
The three of you finished your food and then left the diner. Hailey dropped you off at your house and then you went inside to work on some homework. Your parents would be home late tonight, but honestly, it was nice when they weren't home...not that they paid much attention to you anyway.
The only time you felt you really spent time with them was when you and your dad were watching hockey or your mom was teaching you how to do something with makeup, which you promised to wear to school the next day. You didn't like makeup very much and typically didn't attempt to do it before school, but hey, if learning how to do winged eyeliner one afternoon was going to get your mom to spend time with you, then you'd learn how to do winged eyeliner.
You wished you had a bigger family and siblings you could talk to, like Jay had his brother, Will.
And, you didn't know it, but after that day at the diner with Hailey and Jay, you would find a whole other family to be a part of.
***
"I feel bad for her," Hailey said to Jay when she got home from dropping you back off at your house.
"Y/N?" Jay asked and paused the news channel he was watching. "Why?"
Hailey sighed and walked over and plopped down on the couch next to him.
"She told me that her parents are cheating on each other and her mom told her that they didn't even want her. And, the only reason that her mom and her dad are still together is because of her. And, they're rarely there for her. I was always at her house watching her when she was a kid. Always. Hell, I was probably more of a mom to her than her own mother was!"
"Hails..."
"No, Jay! I know you're going to say it's not true, but it is. Do you know how many times I had to sign her permission slips for field trips? And, God, one time she asked if she could come home with me."
"What?" Jay asked.
"She asked if I could be her mommy," Hailey said as tears formed in her eyes.
"Are you sure there wasn't any abuse going on?" Jay asked, quickly slipping into detective mode.
"Positive. She was like six, six and a half when she said that. I think she was just upset that her mom couldn't go on the field trip with her. But, still. Sometimes I wished she could've lived with me when I turned eighteen and moved out."
"Hailey, she couldn't have. There's no way that would've worked."
"I know, I know," Hailey agreed. "She was in a stable home, and the only thing her parents are guilty of is working all the time."
"How about we have her over for dinner on Wednesdays?" Jay asked. "That way you can make sure she's okay."
"I like that idea," Hailey agreed.
"That and it gives you an excuse to make loukoumades."
Hailey rolled her eyes. "Shut up."
***
"Hailey, you really didn't have to do this. I could've just ordered pizza," you said as you and Hailey entered her and Jay's apartment building.
"Exactly the reason I'm doing this. You needed a break from studying, Y/N," she said.
"I know, I know," you agreed.
"And, your brain needs something more sustainable than pizza...so I made pasta."
"And those donuts?" you asked excitedly.
"And loukoumades," Hailey confirmed.
The two of you made your way to Hailey and Jay's apartment and when you opened the door, you were greeted with the amazing smell of homemade Greek food.
"It smells amazing in here."
"Hands off, mister!" Hailey yelled when she saw that Jay was standing right where the loukoumades were cooling with his back to the door.
Jay turned around with a look of pure shock and horror on his face after being caught stuffing one of the Greek donuts into his mouth. "I couldn't help myself," he explained with his mouth still full.
Hailey just rolled her eyes and walked past him and started bringing the food to the table. "You see what I have to put up with every day?"
"Ah, he's not that bad," you said.
"Thank you!" Jay exclaimed and threw his hands up in the air. "At least Y/N's on my side. She is now officially my favorite kid."
"So, I'll leave it to you to tell Vanessa and Jordan they aren't your favorite kids anymore," Hailey said.
"Who's Vanessa and Jordan?" you asked.
"Our coworker's younger brother and sister. He's been raising them since he was a few years older than you," Hailey answered.
"Wow. I couldn't imagine me raising kids right now. What a shitshow."
Hailey laughed. "Hey, I could give you some pointers once they get to age six. How do you think I could stand babysitting you all the time?"
"Rude."
"Alright, everything's out. Let's eat."
***
And that's how your Wednesday nights have been for the past couple of weeks. Your parents were happy that you were getting out of the house and doing things because all you did was study. You had tried to explain to them that all of the private school kids were rich, pretentious snobs and assholes, so that's why you always hung out with Celine. And, because of homework and all the extracurriculars she did, the only time the two of you could hang out was on the weekends.
You had convinced Jay and Hailey to watch the season premier of Survivor with you, since it was on Wednesdays and now they liked the show, so you started watching that together.
You'd typically get there around 6:00, eat dinner, and then hang out and play cards (you had recently started betting candy on the Uno and Skip-Bo games), and then watch Survivor and then you'd go home.
"Opening night's Saturday," Jay started as the three of you were eating dinner a couple weeks later. This time, Hailey had decided to make stir fry with lo-mein...and Jay said he helped by going out and buying a bag of fortune cookies and then taste testing the stir fry when Hailey wasn't looking. "Think the season's gonna be good?"
You shrugged. "I dunno. The Hawks weren't that good last year. And, they traded Andrew Copp to the Wings, so that might not have been a good choice."
"Yeah," Jay agreed. "And they don't have Debrincat anymore."
"I thought he was gonna be in a Hawks jersey until he retired."
"Me too."
"So, when are you gonna watch the game?" Hailey asked. "You gonna stay up late after homecoming and watch it?"
"About that," you began, "I'm actually not going to homecoming. But don't tell my mom and dad!"
"What? Why?"
"Mom and Dad have a business trip that weekend, but I don't even know if it's a business trip or just an excuse for them to go see the people they're cheating on each other with and I'd rather go to the game than homecoming, so I'm just gonna return the dress on Saturday morning. And before you try and convince me to go, this is my junior year. I still have next year's homecoming to go to."
"Hey, I was never one for dances either," Hailey agreed. "I liked the before part of the dance when I'd get ready with my friends and we'd all eat dinner together. The dance was just kinda... there."
"Me too!" you agreed.
"So, who are you going with?" Jay asked. He was starting to see you how Hailey saw you, as a little sister that occasionally needed protection from the darkness of the world. "I don't think you should be going to the United Center all by yourself."
"With you guys?" you asked a bit nervously. If they said no, then there was no way you'd go. Celine was still going to homecoming because you didn't want her to miss it just because of you. Plus, she was a good dancer, so she actually enjoyed the dance, unlike you. "I have three tickets, so I was wondering if you two wanted to go with me? They're right where the players walk out, too, if that makes any difference."
"Hell yeah! We're in!" Jay yelled. "I love this kid!"
"Jay!" Hailey quickly elbowed him in the ribs to which he grunted at. "We're on call this weekend."
"So? I'll bribe Adam. You and me both know he'll take it."
"But, there's no way Kim's gonna take a bribe from me to work it."
"So? Bribe Kevin. Or, better yet, bribe Roman. I'd love to see Ruz and Roman work together."
"Oh, dear Lord. Ruz would smack the shit out of him after he got sick of Roman." She paused. "You know, then we'd have funny body cam footage to watch. I'll talk to Roman."
***
Opening night for the Blackhawks was finally here and you couldn't tell who was more excited, you or Jay. Jay had on a Blackhawks jersey and a Blackhawks hat, Hailey had on a Blackhawks t-shirt covered a bit by a jean jacket, but you could still tell that the t-shirt was obviously Jay's because it was so big on her, and you were also wearing a Blackhawks jersey. Jay also had a sign with him, but you still had no idea what it said because he said he wouldn't tell you until you got into the arena. He joked that it was more for his safety from the wrath of Hailey and she quickly told him to shut up.
When he finally unrolled the sign after you had made it to your seat, you saw what it said.
I skipped homecoming for this.
Then, he handed it to you.
"It's for you," he told you. "Figured it would get you on the Jumbotron."
You didn't think you'd ever smiled this big in your life. "Thank you. Even if they don't win, you guys have already made this the best opening night I've ever been to."
***
"How the hell is it that you can mess up everyone's orders so bad that we are risking our asses with Voight to sneak off and grab coffee?" Adam asked as he, Kevin, Hailey, and Jay all walked into a coffee shop.
"Because he's bad at remembering things," Hailey quipped.
"Things that aren't important to me. I know your coffee order by heart," he retorted.
"Guess we aren't as important as Hailey, Ruz," Kevin said.
"Guess not," Adam agreed.
"Oh, she is definitely more important than you two," Jay said.
"I'm gonna run to the bathroom," Hailey said. "Don't screw up my coffee, Halstead."
You looked up from the textbook you were currently reading and highlighting when you heard someone call your name and a smile instantly came to your face.
"Hailey! What are you doing here?" you asked as you set down your highlighter and took out your headphones which were playing LoFi very softly.
"Just grabbing some coffee before we have to actually go do work. Oh, and Jay and some other people are here, too," she said and nodded her head to the counter where Jay was currently ordering with Kevin and Adam behind him. "The one behind Jay is Kevin and the one behind him is Adam."
"Now I can finally put faces to names when you two make jokes about them," you said.
"Yeah. Oh! I forgot to ask you, what are you doing for your birthday this year?"
You huffed. "Nothing. Mom and Dad are out of town...again. And, since my birthday's on Halloween, Celine's going to a Halloween party. She asked me if I wanted to come, but I'm not a big fan of parties. I'll probably just order pizza and watch Hocus Pocus and all the Halloweentown movies."
"Aw, I'm sorry, honey. But, at least Hocus Pocus 2 is coming out."
"Yeah." You shrugged.
"But, hey, I gotta run before I get in trouble for taking too long. I'll see you soon."
"See you, Hailey. Stay safe."
"Always do."
***
"Intelligence doesn't typically work Halloween, right?" Hailey asked as the two were sitting in Jay's truck doing a stakeout on a suspect's house."
"Nope," Jay answered. "They need us open in case a bunch of crimes happen and we all need to work separate ones. Halloween brings out the weirdos, so we're all on patrol unless we somehow have an active case, but that hasn't happened since I've been here. Haven't even been called in to work Halloween in the three years I've been in this unit."
"So, there's a pretty good chance we won't have to work Halloween?"
"I'd say so. Why?"
"Well, it's Y/N's 17th birthday is on Halloween and her parents are gonna be out of town--"
"Surprise, surprise. Some people don't deserve to be parents and they are those people."
"Agreed, but she's almost eighteen and it's her junior year, so in two years, she'll be off at college and she won't have to deal with them anymore."
"I guess. But it still sucks."
"I know. But, I was thinking, maybe we could throw her a surprise party? Her birthday's on a Saturday and we could have all of Intelligence--minus Voight--there and Kevin could bring Vanessa and Jordan and you could even invite Will? We could just hang out and watch Halloween movies and then I'd make her a cake. I just- I want her to feel special. I know how it is to not have good memories on my birthday and I want her to have a good one."
"So what are you gonna dress up as?"
"It's a yes? You're in?"
"I am 100% in, Hailey."
***
You didn't know why Hailey wanted you to come over for dinner, much less why she told you about it a few days ago and told you to wear a costume. After all, it was a Saturday, not a Wednesday. But, it was your birthday and you figured she felt bad for you because you had mentioned that your parents were gonna be on a business trip on your birthday when she saw her in a coffee shop that one day.
You had decided to be Winifred from Hocus Pocus. So you found a green dress, bought a red wig and a witch hat, and brought a broom with you. It wasn't that great of a costume, but it was something, and it got the character across.
When you got to Hailey and Jay's apartment, you knocked on the door, and then Hailey opened it. She was dressed as Sarah, another witch from Hocus Pocus.
"Hello, sister," she said. Because, in the movie, Winifred and Sarah were sisters.
And then she ushered you inside.
You didn't even have time to look around at everything before people were jumping out from behind the kitchen counter and from behind the living room couch.
"Surprise!"
You covered your mouth with your hands. There was Jay, who you assumed was dressed as Max, also from Hocus Pocus, two of the guys from their work who you knew as Adam and Kevin, both in their police blues, next to Kevin was a girl in a witch costume (who you later learned was Vanessa), a boy in a Spiderman costume (who you later learned was Jordan), a woman with Fairy wings and a tiara on and a wand in her hand (who you later learned was Kim), and a man with a doctor's coat on (who you later learned was Jay's older brother, Will).
"This is all for me?" you asked as you took in more of your surroundings and tears stung your eyes.
There was a homemade banner that read Happy 17th, Y/N! hanging from the ceiling, boxes of pizza and Halloween-inspired treats, and a birthday cake on the counter, and a few brightly wrapped presents on the kitchen table.
"Yes, this is all for you!" Hailey told you. "Oh, before I forget--"
"I'll get it," Jay volunteered.
He ran to their bedroom and came out with a flower crown made out of fake autumn leaves and then passed it to Hailey.
"The birthday girl should always have a crown."
The minute she placed it on your head, you pulled her into a bone-crushing hug. "Thank you so much. This is the best birthday ever."
"You are so very welcome."
Then you gave a hug to Jay, too.
"I say we eat and sing happy birthday and let Y/N open her presents and then we watch Hocus Pocus? How does that sound, birthday girl?" Hailey asked.
"That sounds perfect."
You had heard of the found family trope in books and tv shows, but you never thought it would be a real thing. But, you had one. Your found family was Hailey and Jay and in time that title would spread to all of the Intelligence Unit plus Will.

Hi, first of all i love your work 💕 and second, I wanted to request a Chris Evans angsty to fluff one shot? Where he is much older than the reader (she’s in her early 20s) and they have confessed their attraction for each other but are not sure how to proceed, nothing much happens during the confession. But the next day there’s an event or party where both attend separately, during it they stare at each other from across the room but suddenly Chris is crowded mostly by women much older than you and they flirt with him, and he sees you getting sad and insecure about your feelings and about his feelings too and obviously your age, so maybe you run off somewhere else and he decides to follow and then reassures you he likes you, then it’s all fluff? Maybe with a kiss at the end?🥺 thank uuuu!! I hope you’re having a nice day💓
Age Gap
pairing: chris evans x younger!reader
warnings: age gap, fluff, angst, insinuations to smut, hannah montana reference lmao
a/n: thank you for the request and i hope you enjoy! also i wrote this on my phone so i apologize for any mistakes lol
being 21 and having a crush on a 39 year old was tough.
finding out that that 39 year old felt the same was even tougher.
when you got the chance to audition with him for his new movie, Deep Silence, you jumped at it. just getting to be in a room with him blew your mind, but when your agent called you and told you you got a role, you were ecstatic.
you had originally auditioned for the role of Emma Garner, Chris’s characters daughter, but he decided you were perfect for the role of his characters wife, Francesca Garner instead.
you had no idea why. you were barely 21, and he was 19 years older than you. it would make so much more sense for you to play his daughter, but you accepted the role of his wife nonetheless.
at least now you won’t have to watch your crush kiss another girl, something that was all too familiar in high school.
when you two had your first love scene, you were terrified. how were you going to keep the fact that you were incredibly attracted to your co star a secret while acting out something that is so private?
you had a suspicion that he felt the same during filming, when he’d purposely ground his hard on into your centre and rasped into you ear “if you liked that”, but he ran away to his trailer before you could ask him about it.
you thought he was finally going to talk to you about it when he approached you a few days later, but he ended up just asking if you wanted to go to disneyland with him and Scott and his boyfriend, to which you accepted.
the day was fun, with the four of you taking lots of photos, going on lists of rides, eating lots of food (that ultimately made Scott throw up after one two many churros and and a ride on Seven Dwarves) and ended in you guys watching Happily Ever After. About halfway through, Chris pulled you into his arms, and pressed his lips to yours.
as soon as he kissed you, all the background noise faded away, and the two of you stood there like teenagers making out for the rest of the show.
when that happened, you thought for sure that he’d finally ask you out. you’d ask him out, but that seemed insanely intimidating, and you weren’t down for that at all. but, he didn’t make a move. other than kissing. he’d kiss you constantly, but it never progressed passed making out, and you were a little disappointed.
eventually, comic con came up, and you wouldn’t be attending with Chris, rather than the TV show you were a regular on. you had spotted him watching you in the crowd, thanks to your favourite actress who was also on the panel with you. you attended his as well, and even asked a question, as your movie hadn’t been announced yet, so people wouldn’t know you unless they watched your show.
then, the after party rolled around. you had messaged briefly, but hadn’t really spoken, something you were hoping to do tonight. you had reached your wits end, and just decided to man up and talk to him about where you two stood.
but, you couldn’t find him. you’d wandered around with your co stars and talked to a few directors and casting agents to get your name out there for future projects, but you couldn’t for the life of you locate Chris.
Until you got to the bar. you had just ordered your favourite drink, when you spotted him at the other end of the bar. but, he wasn’t alone. he was surrounded by five or six women who were definitely much older than you, and your heart sank.
it didn’t shatter, however, until you saw Chris flirting back. your eyes welled up with tears, and you tried to wipe them discreetly without Chris or anyone noticing, but of course that didn’t happen.
Chris was doing his best to ward off the ladies swarming him, so he could come and find you. he had been leading you on for too long, and he just needed to ask you out already, before another guy snatched you from his fingers.
suddenly, he caught movement out of the corner of his eye, and looked up, thinking it was Scott coming back with more food, but his heart dropped when he saw you. you were stood there, looking absolutely magnificent, but your eyes were full with tears, almost to the point of spilling over onto the cheeks he loved to kiss and hold in his hands so much.
he looked at the swarm of ladies that had formed around him, and swore, realizing what you were probably thinking.
he watched as you turned and stormed away, towards the door. he politely excused himself, and headed after you.
he followed you out the door he watched you disappear through, but his heart sank even lower when he realized you weren’t there. he was about to go back inside and ask your co stars for your room number, when he heard the tell tale signs of your sobs coming from a hidden alcove to his left.
he ran down the steps and over to the alcove, and his heart broke when he saw you. you were leaning against the wall, you head in your hands. loud sobs were escaping your mouth, and he knew for a fact you had an endless amount of tears running down your face, the saltiness of them probably already swelling your beautiful face up.
he wasted no time in coming over to you and wrapping you up tight in his arms. you tried to pull out of them, but he stood firm, and eventually you relaxed.
“i’m so sorry.” he whispered, and your sobs subsided. you shook your head and looked up at him.
“no. i’m sorry. i’m sorry that i was born in the wrong generation, because maybe then one of us would have the courage to ask the other out without fear of judgement. i’m sorry that i’m not as mature as those girls, or as talented. i’m sorry that i probably read into things like i always do and ruine-“ you began; but was cut off by Chris soft lips.
when he pulled away, he rested his forehead atop yours. “no. don’t. you’re perfect. so fuckin’ perfect it scares me sometimes. it absolutely terrifies the shit out of me how perfect you are because i don’t want to hurt you. you’re so young and innocent, and i love that about you. i don’t want to be the one to crush that innocence that i love so much by hurting you. but, i shouldn’t have let that hold me back. we’re both legal, so age is just a number. i should have told you that say i fuckin’ dry humped you on set.” he said, and you laughed at the last bit. “i love you so fuckin’ much, y/n, it honestly scares me. but being scared is good. it makes me human, and i’m not letting that hold me back from treating you the way you deserve to be treated. if you can find it in your heart to forgive me, i will spend the rest of our time together showing you just how much i love and appreciate you.” he said, and you looked up at him. “will you be my girlfriend?” he asked softly, and you nodded in happiness, your lips pressing to his.
Chris smiled into the slightly salty, but still loving kiss. he finally had you, and he wasn’t going to let you go. you were his whole world, and he was kicking himself for not realizing it sooner.
the two of you were currently walking hand in hand back to the venue, when you spoke up. “that was the sweetest speech. i’m not mad at you because of those girls. i realized shortly after that you wouldn’t do anything like that, but i thought maybe you’d realize that they were better than me, so that’s why i left.” you explained, and Chris tugged you in closer to his body.
“that makes me so happy, sweet girl. it was a mistake letting those girls do that and i should have stopped it sooner, but everybody makes mistakes.” he said.
you giggled before responding. “everybody has those days.” you said with the straightest face possible and Chris turned and stared at you for a second before realizing the reference.
“Hannah Montana? oh my god you’re so innocent,” he said, moaning the last few words into your ears, his hands gripping your waist to pull you against him.
you bit your lip and smiled. “i’m not completely innocent,” you said right back, and smiled in happiness when you felt him hardening against your stomach.
“mmm, really baby?” he moaned, and you nodded, before whispering in his ear.
“take me back to your hotel room and i’ll show you.”

Human Alastor x reader playing Bowling? (Idk i just like that type of date hhaha) Maybe just them or maybe with friends
((>W>.............................. js I hate bowling. But I love you nonny, so for you..... I made this. ENJOY!! Sorry for the wait *cries*))
How goes bowling these days? Is that even still a thing? And why would anyone want to go bowling other than to drink? But no one drinks have the time... people just go for the pin and balls. Maybe it had to do with long and round phallic objects and balls rolling around. Regardless, your friends had dragged you to go bowling for whatever reason. And you decided to drag Alastor along because if you had to suffer, so did your boyfriend. It was also a bonus that he got along with your friends as well... some of them at least.
It was Charlie's idea mostly. She was someone who always wanted to go out and try new things. It was something she lived by apparently because this week's new activity was bowling at one of those dark neon allies with an arcade built-in. Charlie managed to talk her girlfriend, Vaggie, into coming too. Angel came because he also assumed there would be drinks but found out there wasn't a damn bar inside. You honestly had no idea how or why Husk was even there because he was completely and entirely miserable. If you had to guess it had something to do with you forcing Alastor to come.
Anyways, you and your little group of friends had found themselves staring down an alley with those silly little shoes on. Angel wouldn't wear his though, he wouldn't let their piss shade of yellow clash with his outfit.
You were sitting in plastic chairs next to Angel as you watched Charlie and Alastor go up next. You had two lanes so they went together. Angel sat next to you, he grabbed an arm behind you on the back of your chair and leaned in, "Five bucks says Allie gets the gutter," He whispered loud enough for Alastor to hear. You giggled as you saw your boyfriend's brow twitch and ignore the comment.
There was a second there that you were tempted to say something back to Angel but you were interrupted by the loud clash and computer saying "Strike!" You looked up and saw that Charlie was still holding her bowling ball. But walking away with a smirk on his face, Alastor's smug pride gleamed off him. The shock on everyone's face only made him boast to himself even more. When did Alastor find the time to get good at bowling.
As he sat down next to you, he threw Angel's arm away from you and replaced it with his own, though he was sure to wrap his fingers around your shoulder and bring you closer to him. He never liked Angel, and he was always so overly protective when it came to you anyways, so it wasn't welcomed that the boy was so close to you. Even if he was a guy. Competition is competition, it doesn't matter who they are, Alastor didn't like sharing you. Period.
"How... Did you do that?" You asked him.
Alastor shrugged and watched as Charlie threw her bowling ball right into the gutter, "I'm perfect at everything I do, dear." That was supposed to be satire.
Angel rolled his eyes and with a huff, he crossed his arms, "You can't fuck." He deadpanned.
Instincts kicked in and you ducked seconds before Alastor nearly climbed over you and punched Angel in the face. He missed and got him in the shoulder instead.
"Leave Alastor and his fuckless life alone," Husk said as he got up from his seat, "Some people are just better than the rest of us sexual deviants," He took his turn bowling soon after saying that. Vaggie went next as well. She choose to keep her mouth shut on all this.
But even Charlie had something to say, "Come on guys," She awkwardly waved her hands, trying to calm everyone down, "If you're going to fight take it outside this time. I don't want to get kicked out of another place of business..."
"He won't fight me, he'd know I'd deck him in the head and give 'em a one-two combo real quick like last time." Angel reminded everyone, and you all collectively remembered Angel clocked Alastor in the face at a bar after a heated argument. Alastor went out like a light and broke his nose on the way down. You looked at him and saw the little kink in his nose from that night.
You sighed and reached down into your pocket and pulled out your wallet. You grabbed a random twenty and handed it to Angel, "I'll give you this and two cigs if you go outside for ten minutes."
Angel gave you a snotty look, somewhat offended that you'd even offer such a thing. But he knitted his brows, snatched your twenty-dollar bill, and stole two cigarettes from the pack you left laying next to you on your seat, "I'm gonna find a bar on this fucking street- I'll be back later, losers."
You could still feel the rage simmer off Alastor even after Angel left. Though you didn't have time to say anything to him. It was your turn to go up. And now that Angel was gone, you didn't want to go up there and make a fool of yourself alone... Half your plan was to have Angel bowl next to you so that no one would notice how bad you were.
"Um-" You said as everyone waited for you to go, "I'd...uh... Um. I don't know hooow-" You were cut off as Alastor quickly got up and pulled you up with him.
He dragged you to the lane and got a bowling ball for you, "Hold this," He said. You noticed his anger from before had all but melted away. Alastor gave you a charming smile and stood beside you, "Copy me. Like when we dance."
You blinked at him a few times then did was he said. He held his hand up, pretending he had a ball. You copied him and did the same. He brought his hands to his chest, stepped forward, swung his arm back then forward again. You smiled at him and did the same, but you actually threw a ball. It rumbled down the lane and crashed into a couple pins. At least you didn't get the gutter.
"See? That easy," Alastor smiled at you. He place a hand on your arm and pressed a kiss on your cheek. He grabbed your hand in his and asked, "Do you want to see if they have any vending machines in the arcade? We can get some snacks?" Which was code for do you want to sneak away for a second?
"Sure," You quickly agreed while locking your fingers with his. The two of you scurried off with him. The second you were out of eyesight and safe behind a wall, Alastor gave you a more proper kiss.
He pulled away and asked, "Why did we come again?"
You shrugged, "Charlie asked." You simply said.
Alastor let out a huff then started walking with you towards the vending machines, "You can't really say no to someone like her..."
As you pulled out a few loose coins from your pocket and slipped them into the machine you laughed, "No, you can't." You both dearly loved your friendship with Charlie... But she could be a bit bossy sometimes.
The two of you collected an arm full of snacks and started walking back together, "Well, I say when we get home, we have a proper date."
You laughed and even lost a few snacks. You picked them up quickly and said, "You mean you cook us dinner and we watch a movie? That's not a proper date either, ya know."
Alastor smirked at you then nudged his arm into yours with a grin, "It is too because it'll be just us. Alone."
You rolled your eyes but still chuckled to yourself, "Alright, alright," You said, "What do you want to watch?"
He shrugged, "Don't care. I just want to make fried rice tonight."
You let out a huff of a laugh and passed out a snack to each of your friends while Alastor gave them a drink of some kind, "Fine. But I'm picking a TV show then because I just started watching something on Netflix."
"Aw, are you guys leaving?" Charlie asked with way too much sadness on her face.
"No, no-" You waved a hand slightly, "Alastor just doesn't think this is a proper date, so he has to make one up at home."
"What do you mean this isn't a proper date?" Vaggie threw a hand in the air, "All of us brought our partners! I mean- Angel left... So Husk is more like a third wheel at this point. This definitely counts as a group date or whatever."
"Call me old-fashioned, but you don't bring your friends on a date and there is no such thing as a group date," Alastor said as he cracked open a can of cola.
"What about a double date?" Husk asked from his seat while he tore open a bag of chips.
"This isn't a double date and even then those aren't real dates either. You're supposed to be somewhere nice, havea nice meal, share a few drinks. Share some stories and laughs with the one person you're interested in courting, then call it a night, done!" Alastor smiled to himself while everyone else collectively sighed. He was old-fashioned. (But you liked that about him.)
"This isn't 1955, Al. You can go on a date anywhere. Like here. What about going to the zoo? Could that be a date?" Vaggie asked.
Alastor thought about it, tapped a finger to his chin then gleefully said, "Nope! That's an outing!" Several people groaned but no one went on to feed into his banter.
You did hear Husk grumble under his breath "You need to go out to go on a date," But Alastor must have not heard it or choose to not say anything.
The rest of your night there wasn't that bad either. Angel did end up coming back, but not without his arms full of booze bottles of all kinds. They didn't serve drinks here but at least Angel was wise enough to buy some solo cups too. No one was really paying attention to the bowling anymore either. (You lost, not that you cared or anything.... You did.) Instead, you and your friends had gathered around in the arcade, drinking, laughing, playing games, and picking on each other harmlessly. You enjoyed every second of it, much to your surprise. Alastor did as well, though... He still insisted on his proper date once you got home.

my best habit || aaron hotchner x reader (prologue)
Summary: When Aaron Hotchner ended your affair with him, saying that a serial killer was going after him and his family, you were content with the idea that you'd probably never see him again. Two years have come and gone since then, but when you get dragged into an FBI investigation as a key witness, you and Hotch are forced to come face to face with all the things left unsaid.
Warnings: Age gap (15-ish years), smut, degradation, unprotected sex. This story is 18+ older. This is not a story for minors.
A/N: Hello, hello!! I figured that since I've made a writing tumblr, I should post my story on here!! This is a multichapter story, so I am very excited to go on this journey with y'all!! I already have multiple chapters written and published, so these should be coming out VERY quickly. If you don't want to wait to catch up, you can read everything I have on ao3! This chapter starts as a flashback, and then the next chapter and the rest from here on out will be actual plot!
masterlist || read on ao3
“If you were waitin’ on the sunshine, blue sky
Cheap high, lullaby
Then my best habit’s letting you down”
- The Maine, “My Best Habit”
Two years earlier
Your eyes scanned the University Ballroom, your champagne glass practically ignored in your hand. You hated all these alumni networking galas and avoided going to them as much as possible. Old, sleazy lawyers with much younger women on their arm reliving their best cases with each other and expecting all the new law students to laugh when they were able to get their defendant acquitted because of some dumb technicality. It made you sick.
It didn’t help that you were already going in with a bad attitude. Your ex-boyfriend had dropped by your apartment that morning to pick up the rest of his stuff, and he decided that the best person to help him with that was the girl he had been cheating on you with. You caught them together three weeks ago, and you had been so stressed from midterms that you hadn’t even had the chance to go out, get drunk, and have wildly irresponsible rebound sex.
But you had to suck it up for the night, at least until you were able to get the answer you came for. After that, you could go back to your apartment, replace your too tight and too short dress with some nice pajamas, and watch trashy reality TV until you passed out on your couch.
You scanned the room a few more times until you caught sight of a tall man in a dark suit leaning against the bar. Bingo. You set your champagne flute down and ran over to him as fast as your heels could take you. Once you were just a few steps away, you quickly composed yourself and walked straight into his line of sight.
SSA Aaron Hotchner rarely came to alumni events here at George Washington Law School, citing that he wasn’t even a prosecutor anymore and had much more important work to do back at the BAU, but he was going as favor to his old law school buddy. Plus, it was either coming to this or going out to the bar with the team, and seeing as he had just signed the divorce papers with Haley, he wanted to be somewhere he wasn’t going to be profiled all night. The free champagne was also a bonus.
When you saw that his name was on the RSVP list, you knew that you had to go.
“Agent Hotchner?” you asked, giving him your best straight A student smile.
He refused to look up right away, not giving you the chance to charm him. “I’m not currently on duty. If there is a case you would like the BAU to look over, that’s handled by our media liaison,” he said absently, taking another sip of champagne.
You frowned but kept your hand out for him to shake. “That’s not what I’m here for, I-” You took a breath to compose yourself. “My name is Y/N Y/L/N. I’m a first year here- getting a joint JD and masters in forensic psychology. My goal is to become a prosecutor,” you pressed, and you were rewarded when he perked up in interest. He slid his drink on the table.
“Most law firms don’t usually want a prosecutor who’s going to empathize with the person you’re prosecuting,” he mused, and shook your hand, his grip just tight enough to pass as faux politeness.
You shook your head and clasped your hands behind your back, trying to ignore how warm his hands were. “I think the best prosecutors empathize with the defendants,” you admitted. “Isn’t that how you succeeded as both a prosecutor and as a federal agent? That’s actually why I came to you, I wanted to ask you a question... about my thesis,” you added quickly, figuring that the best way to get him to talk to you.
Aaron’s posture changed from half asleep to maybe listening, and your face went red. Sure, you only came to the event to talk to him, but you never thought that you’d actually get Aaron Hotchner to pay attention to you. “I didn’t empathize with the people I was putting in jail,” he told you, his voice ice cold. “That didn’t come until I worked in the BAU, and even now, I wouldn’t call it empathy. Just understanding of how they became the type of person they are.” He leaned sideways on the bar counter and you felt yourself shrink under his gaze. You shifted slightly and felt the hem of your dress move up your thighs ever so slightly. Aaron noticed too, if the lick of his lips was anything to go by.
You took his silence as your signal to ask your question. “You offered Jessica Michaelson a lesser sentence that had her released in just three years despite the fact that she murdered her brother in cold blood in his sleep. You had the evidence, why didn’t you push for premeditation?” you asked, and his eyebrow quirked upwards. “In the case The People vs. Michaelson,” you added unnecessarily, trying to break the silence.
“I know the case you’re referring to. I was the lead on it,” he reminded you, his voice edging on dangerous. “You know, most people aren’t interested in my days as a lawyer.”
You shrugged, hoping to appear more confident than you felt. “I’m not most people,” you agreed, biting down on your lower lip. His gaze was so intense, and it was affecting you in ways you couldn’t have imagined. It was turning you on, you realized with a start. It had been a while since you had last had sex, and it was driving you only slightly crazy. “But that doesn’t answer my question.”
Aaron grabbed a champagne flute from a server walking by, and shoved it in your direction. You grabbed it cautiously. “Did you read the police report on the case?” he asked, and you nodded wordlessly, taking a sip of the champagne. The alcohol was making you bolder, and you stepped towards him. “Then you’ll know that there was very little physical evidence tying her to the muder. We chose to offer the charge that would have stuck instead of risking her being found not guilty.”
You gritted your teeth together in an effort to calm yourself down. “She murdered four people within the six months after she was released from prison,” you reminded him.
That seemed to have struck a chord with Aaron, and his steely persona seemed to fade ever so slightly. He sighed exasperatedly; you were obviously getting on his nerves. “The prints and DNA that were collected and put into VICAP when she was in prison are what got her caught in the end, and that was the evidence needed to lock her away for life. We wouldn’t have gotten those prints without her original charge. It all worked out.”
You groaned and threw your hands in the air. “You couldn’t have predicted that, though,” you argued. “And people have been found guilty with way less evidence than you had in the original case. I think you just felt bad for her, considering her brother was a real piece of shit.” You were being difficult now, you knew that. But there was something about Aaron Hotcher that was pulling you in, and you wanted to see how far you could push him.
Aaron gave you a predatory grin and he stepped towards you ever so slightly, finishing his drink. He must have had multiple drinks too, judging by the soft flush on his face. “Oh, you do?” He seemed amused now. He slowly raked his eyes from your face, down your neck, and down the rest of your body, and you forgot how to breath. You knew that it was inappropriate and that he was a highly respected FBI agent, even if he was kind of an asshole at the moment. You also knew that the two of you were crossing lines that neither of you should have even been close to, but you shivered under the weight of his gaze all the same.
You shifted back and forth, your brain trying to process what was happening. “Yeah, I do. And I know that you transferred to the FBI after Michaelson was arrested again, which makes me think that this case was your breaking point,” you ranted, your hands becoming more and more animated.
Aaron chuckled, but there was very little amusement behind it. “Are you sure you want to be a lawyer?” he asked, cocking his head to the side. “Because you’re starting to talk like a profiler.”
You arched an eyebrow at him. “No thanks,” you said firmly, and he just shrugged before making a move to walk past you. You sidestepped in front of him, effectively blocking him from going anywhere. But it was obvious that he was done talking about this.
In your mind, you had two options now. You could keep pushing him about a case that he obviously didn’t want to talk to you about, or you could switch gears in your brain and have him help you solve your... other problem. Aaron was attractive, and you were getting tired of guys your age. You noticed the distinct lack of a wedding ring on his finger, but there was still a tan to show that it had been there. So either he was recently separated or just trying to cheat on his wife. You wanted to not care whichever it was, but a pang in your heart told you to be considerate. Besides, you did not want to get involved with another cheater.
“Must be hard to be at these events without your wife here to scare off all the lonely female law students,” you mused cautiously. You didn’t want to come on too strong, but the alcohol in your system was slowly clouding your ability to be subtle.
Aaron cleared his throat, obviously taken aback by the sudden shift in conversation. “I’m not married,” he said, too quickly and too defensively. So he’s separated, you thought, and you stepped closer to him.
His eyebrows furrowed as he tried to figure out your endgame. “Well, I would love to discuss your work as a prosecutor more when there are less… distractions around,” you whispered, your words breathy. “Tell me Agent Hotchner, do I make you nervous?” You sounded a lot more confident than you felt.
Aaron just smirked and grabbed your free hand, covering it in both of his, and the action was surprisingly soft, even if it was way too late for him to try acting suave. His eyes, on the other hand, told a whole other story. His pupils were so dilated that his eyes were practically black. “I face the worst people in society on a daily basis. Desperate law students don’t make me nervous. In fact…” He stepped towards you, looking around to make sure nobody else was looking. Aaron leaned in close, his lips brushing against your ear with every word. “I think that I make you nervous. And more than nervous, I make you very excited.”
Your breath hitched as he pulled back, a smug smile gracing his lips. You yanked your hand back to preserve what little dignity you had left, but it was too late. “Now, if you would like to discuss my prosecuting career more in depth, then you can set up a formal meeting with me at the BAU,” he continued, obviously proud of himself and the effect he was having on you. He pulled out a business card and upon further instruction, you realized that it wasn’t even his. Jennifer Jareu the name read. “Our media liaison will be able to help you organize that. Now if you don’t mind, I am going to retire for the night.”
Aaron finished the rest of his drink and brushed past you while you were still trying to get your thoughts under control. “Oh, and you’ll make a wonderful lawyer someday, I’m sure of it,” he called over his shoulder, and that snapped you back into action.
You followed, running around him and cutting him off. “And if I don’t want to discuss your prosecuting career?” you asked, batting your eyelashes at him. “What if I was interested in a… less formal meeting?”
That was all the permission he needed. Aaron grabbed your hand and pulled you out of the ballroom, the two of you moving so fast that nobody in the room even had a chance to put two and two together. There was an empty hallway just next to the entrance of the room and Aaron pulled you in that direction, pressing you against the wall and kissing you fiercely the second the two of you were alone.
There was nothing gentle about the kiss, but in a strange role reversal, he let you take the lead. It’s certainly not what you expected from Aaron Hotchner who, until now, had been controlling every aspect of your meeting. You realized then that this was his way of making sure you were okay with what was happening- giving you a chance to back out and change your mind. You just answered by tangling your hands in his hair, pulling so that he was at just the right angle to kiss you.
Aaron dug his fingers into your hips, hard enough to make you gasp out. You were definitely going to have bruises the next day, but you couldn’t be bothered to care. He shoved his leg in between yours and tugged on your lip with his teeth, which made you whimper involuntarily. He smirked against your lips, obviously proud of the noises he was drawing from you. You pulled on his hair harder as a sign of irritation, but that seemed to only make him more amused as he pulled away to laugh into your neck.
“Are we just going to make out against a wall like we’re back in high school, or are you going to actually do something worth my time?” you breathe, fighting to keep your voice even and light. It only halfway worked as he dragged his tongue up your neck to your pulse point. And then he bit down, hard.
It took everything in your power to stay quiet, especially as he softly kissed the newly forming bruise. His attack on your neck was relentless as he pulled your hips and back forth against his thigh. You whimpered as you desperately tried to get any friction from the simple movement. Your skirt was now dangerously close to being pushed so far up your legs that you would be completely exposed.
You pulled away first- you had to or your legs were going to completely give out from under you. You desperately tried to get your breathing under control and, to your annoyance, he looked perfectly composed. The only thing giving him away was his slightly swollen lips.
His fingers trailed up your thigh, getting so close to where you want him. “What would you like me to do then?” he asked easily, his voice almost sounding bored. You were speechless, like your brain had just short circuited. There were a lot of things you wanted him to do, but the words were lost on the tip of your tongue. “If you want something, you have to ask for it.” That was a demand, and he punctuated it by pressing his thigh further into you. You were sure he was going to have a wet spot on his slacks. He took the hand not in between your legs and grabbed your jaw forcefully, his thumb resting on your bottom lip. “Use your words, little girl.”
You realize that the two of you were standing on the edge of a cliff, and you had the power to decide whether or not to jump over. It gave you a strange sense of power. Logically, you knew it was a bad idea. He was too old for you, obviously going through some sort of relationship trauma, and wasn’t somebody you could talk to your friends and family about. But the less rational side wanted him so badly it hurt. You wanted him more than you’ve wanted anything or anyone in a long time.
You noticed your strawberry colored lipstick was smudged ever so slightly on the corner of his mouth, and that’s all it took for you to jump off the side of the cliff. “I want you to drag me into the empty classroom just down the hall and fuck me senseless. I want you to use me,” you moan before taking his thumb into your mouth and sucking.
The look on his face is something you’ll never forget. There was a mix of shock and arousal, but also something primitive; His eyes darkened when you told him to use you, and there was a fluttering in your stomach. You couldn’t tell if it was from excitement or dread. Maybe even both.
He removed his hands from your mouth and legs, only to place his hand on the small of your back. He began walking towards the classroom you had pointed out, much too slow for your liking, but he knew exactly what he was doing. “You’re going to regret asking me to use you,” he practically growls in your ear, each word increasing your arousal. “Are you one of those lonely female law students you warned me about? So desperate and needy for a real man to bend you over a table and fuck you until you can’t walk straight? Ready and willing to whore yourself out for the first man who gives you a second glance?”
Your breath hitched as you stuttered out your answer. “Y-yes, Agent Hotchner,” you whispered as he opened the classroom door and guided you in.
As soon as the door was shut and locked, he was back on your lips again, lifting you so that you were sitting on one of the desks with your legs wrapped around his waist. “Call me Aaron,” he mumbled in between kisses, and you were all too happy to oblige.
You were a moaning mess at this point as his hands pushed your dress up to your waist. His hands and lips were somehow everywhere at once and you were so hot and all you could think about was getting your damn dress off, but Aaron seemed to have other plans.
He ran his fingers up your lace covered slit and he just chuckled into your lips. “You’re so wet for me, already,” he groaned and you let out an embarrassingly loud moan. “And I’ve barely touched you. Do my words really have that much effect on you? Do you like it when I call you a whore?”
He hooked his fingers under the waistband of your panties and quickly pulled them down. You could feel his bulge pressing against you and all you could think about was how badly you wanted it. How badly you wanted him. Your hands moved down his chest to make quick work of his belt, and his pants followed after.
“Please, please Aaron,” you begged, desperately trying to create some friction against him. His fingers tangled in your hair and he pulled your head back so that you were looking at him.
“You’re so pretty when you beg.” His fingers slowly ran up your slit, not enough to give you any pleasure. He was teasing you and enjoying every second of it. “And I wish I could take my time with you. The things I want to do to you…” Two of his fingers entered you and you cried out loudly. “But somebody could walk in on us at any second. I’m sure they can all hear you moaning like a dirty whore, all for me. But you’d like that, wouldn’t you? So desperate for my attention and approval.”
His words turned you on more than you would have liked to admit. “Yes, Aaron yes. Please-” you were cut off by Aaron curling his fingers, hitting that spot that made you want to scream out in pleasure. But all too soon, they were gone.
He inspected his fingers, which were now covered in your juices, before bringing them to your mouth. “Suck,” he ordered, and you eagerly complied, wrapping your lips around his fingers and moaning at the taste of yourself. “I’ll just have to fuck you quickly here, and then you’ll be begging for more next time,” he groaned and finally- finally- entered you.
He didn’t give you time to adjust to him, thrusting roughly into you. He removed his fingers from your mouth and brought his hand to your neck. He didn’t put any pressure, but he wanted you to know that he could and would if you decided to get mouthy with him.
Your hands gripped the edge of the desk you were sitting on, your knuckles turning white. Your eyes started to close in pleasure as his hips slammed into yours, but they shot open as he tightened his grip on your throat. “Look at me. I want to see you when you cum,” he ordered, and you nodded the best you could.
“Yes sir!” you cried out, unsure of what else to say.
Seemingly satisfied with your answer, Aaron released your throat and moved his hand down so that he was stimulating your clit. You could feel the coil in your stomach tighten as your legs started to twitch. Aaron took this as motivation to slam into you even harder, relishing each time you gasped out his name.
His pace was unforgiving, leaving you gasping for air. Keeping your eyes open was a challenge, but you were able to do it with his soft mutters of praise. “Even brats like you can be good girls,” he groaned, his thrusts becoming erratic. “You just need somebody to fuck it into you.”
You were unable to respond coherently, so you just settled on begging even more, although you weren’t sure what you were begging for exactly. Aaron seemed to know, and he sped up his fingers against your clit. You wanted to scream out for him, but your voice wasn’t working. “What did I say before?” he asks roughly. “If you want something, ask for it.”
“Please… please can I cum?” you cried out, feeling yourself getting close to the edge. “Please let me cum around your cock!”
He nodded in approval and you had to muffle yourself in his neck to keep quiet. He fucked you through your orgasm, the overstimulation almost too much, but it wasn’t long before he was moaning your name, and you felt him fill you.
The two of you stayed like that for a few moments, both breathing heavily as the situation started to sink in. You just let a guy almost 15 years older than you that you just met fuck you in an empty classroom, and you really enjoyed it. Aaron, on the other hand, looked like he was going through a full crisis.
He pulled out of you slowly, and you winced at the feeling. He pulled up his pants quickly. “Fuck,” he muttered under his breath, looking around the empty classroom. “I don’t have anything good to clean you up with.” A box of kleenex caught his eye and he grabbed a few tissues. It was better than nothing.
You chuckled nervously and waved it off. “It’s fine,” you promised, your voice coming out shakier than you expected, but he ignored you. He wiped the mess dripping down your thighs. You were cold. He must have noticed, because he took off his suit jacket and wrapped it around your shoulders.
“Are you okay?” Aaron asked softly, and it was a full 180 from the way he had just been talking to you.
“I’m great,” you admitted honestly. “Seriously, that was… great.”
Aaron smiled at you- the first real smile he had given you all night. “It wasn’t too much?” he confirmed, and you suddenly remembered what he had said to you earlier. ...then you’ll be begging for more next time. Was he planning on a next time? You wouldn’t have minded it.
You shook your head and slowly slid off the table. You took one of the tissues and wiped up the mess that was left on the table. “Not at all. In fact, I could take more. Next time.” Your voice was light and airy. Aaron watched as you picked your underwear off the floor. There was no way you were putting those back on, not when you had no idea when the floor was last cleaned.
“Don’t make promises you can’t keep,” he teased, eyeing you carefully.
“Well I can’t keep it if I only have your media liaison’s number,” you reminded him, your eyebrow raised. Aaron chuckled and pulled out another business card, except this time it was his. You plucked the card out of his hands and inspected it carefully. “I’ll call you sometime. You can do all those other things we didn’t have time to do.” You were on your tiptoes now, whispering in his ear. “You know… my mouth can do a lot more than just ask for things.” As you spoke, you slipped your panties into his back pocket. You just laughed as you heard a soft gasp escape his lips.
You made your way towards the door, your legs wobbling dangerously underneath you. You were sure that you looked like a mess, but you didn’t care. All that mattered to you was Aaron Hotchner’s eyes glued to your ass. “Get home safe,” he told you and you let yourself smile. Maybe it was a bad idea to start sleeping with a recent divorcee, but the sex was great and you both knew where you stood with the other person. No feelings, just fucking out your frustrations and stress.
Oh yeah, coming to this event was definitely a good call on your part.

1943
Your head felt groggy, as you woke up. Not enough energy from an ounce of your body to open your eyes for the time being. The more your body woke up from the darkness of slumber the more the pounding of aches and pains became less subtle and started to fill each and every muscle. You weren’t sure where you were or what had happened, but you suddenly became aware that your surroundings weren’t familiar. The air was too cool and there was an eeriness from lack of noise.
Finally, you were able to pry your eyes open. The colours swirled around you into one, until they became to create recognisable shapes. Although this wasn’t somewhere you recognised, just as your mind had thought even before getting to look around.
You were laid down on a metal ‘bed’ if you could even call it a bed. The coolness of the metal began to get to you a shiver running down your spine and you attempted to get up. Only to be restricted. It was now when you noticed you had straps holding your ankles, down, but not only this; there was a limpness to your form. In fact, you didn’t have any real connection to your muscles. As if a switch had been turned on in your head you realised, this wasn’t a bed. It was a table.
Suddenly your anxiety rose. In an ill attempt to do something you turned you head groggily to the left, only to be met with machines, and hospital devices. You took in a sharp breath. This definitely wasn’t a hospital so why the machines? Rolling your head to the right with just as much difficultly as last time you were met with darkness. The faint sound of feet shuffling in the distance, and the whirring of more machines.
Almost as if whoever it was had realised you were awake, a bright white light turned on above you causing you to groan from the sudden contrast to the previous darkness. The footsteps became louder, as whoever it was approached you from their hiding spot.
“Ah you’re awake,” the voice started, “you know you gave our men quite a difficult time back there. Are you going to behave this time?”
Your voice barely was able to respond, only a hushed whisper came out, “Who are you? Where am I?” This worked to rejog your memory as you saw flashes of men running after you, as you had leapt from this same table. You had gotten pretty far and fought back fairly well but this place… whatever it was; was a maze. Realising now that amongst being kidnapped and knocked unconscious. Your first attempt to escape was probably why you were in pain all over. A vision of a few men jumping on top of you and beating you unconscious. Again. That must have been why you were tied down this time.
“I think you know the answer to that.” the small man with glasses responded appearing finally out of the darkness. “…We’re HYDRA, and you y/n...” He spoke reaching under your chin in a condescending manner. “…Were firstly going to be a pawn against your stupid Captain America. But you’ve shown promise, something our other soldiers don’t have. Neither your American ones. My guess is it comes from your ballet training.” He shrugged as he moved away from you, turning and looking for something. Suddenly his hand was on a switch and machines began to rumble.
“Please,” you responded choking on your own words, “please just kill me!” You knew something was coming, otherwise why would be so aloof.
He chuckled at your words as he stood behind you. “The red skull doesn’t want me to do that, he needs more soldiers, and that’s exactly what we’re going to make you.” And with that you saw a metal machine slowly being dropped down over your left eye, and below your right jaw, causing your panic to rise. As quick as the unbearable pain started, so did darkness.
Present day ; 2017
You woke up screaming as the pain of what had happened almost a century ago shot through your entire body. You fumbled out of bed in a sweat like you did most nights. Heading towards your small kitchen in your small apartment. It was filled with greys, no life within in, you felt there was no need, why celebrate a life with no life?
Your life had changed in so many ways after 1943. You were one of HYDRA’S many toys, the many men that surrounded you called you tiny dancer, but not in a kind way, in a misogynistic arrogant way. Most people at that time though saw you as a weapon, something to be feared of, and they should have.
After you had stumbled upon the Winter Soldier on a mission in 2014 working as a freelance agent having cut your ties with HYDRA mere months before hand, it was only a few months when so had Captain America. From what you had heard amongst assassins under the radar living in Madripoor like you, it hadn’t gone well for HYDRA and now the Winter Soldier was nowhere to be found, invoking fear within many who had made themselves enemies to him. But you were sure his best friend would be looking for him. Whilst you had decided to go against helping him, Steve was not that kind of person.
Time had not been kind to you, you were no longer the frail girl who could fall in love in a week. In fact, you weren’t sure if you actually could feel love anymore. HYDRA had to make sure there was no collateral. Still once you saw him that night you wondered how amongst your many years with HYDRA, how you had never run into Bucky: The Winter Soldier. You had heard of the winter soldier, but you never knew it was Bucky behind the ghost of a person. Probably on purpose, HYDRA had been in your mind. Tthere was no doubt they knew who he was to you back then.
Not only did it invoke these thoughts, but it had led to your retirement. Well not your retirement, you were still about 25 years old on the outside, and though nor Steve or Bucky knew you were alive you knew how it felt to be in their position.
Hiding out in your small apartment in Madripoor was where you had spent most of your life since 2014, staying on the down low in case HYDRA somehow re-emerged, looking for revenge on a project they had wasted so much time on. You.
You weren’t sure why they were so surprised people like you hated them with so much anger. They had taken your life, Bucky’s life and made you weapons against your will. You didn’t hold their values, it was forced upon you.
You shook yourself from your thoughts again. You only got sentimental after nightmares, and the nightmares had been pretty continuous after seeing Bucky those few years ago, so really you were sentimental most mornings. You think it had something to do with seeing him and how it brought back memories you didn’t even know you had.
Reaching for a bottle of water, you took a sip looking over at the clock that read 3am. You groaned, knowing that you’d probably never have a good night’s sleep again. Terrible payback for a terrible past. No sleep for the wicked.
You shuffled yourself back to your room getting into bed and turning on the tv as a way to mindlessly distract yourself until you actually had to do stuff.
A few hours past until it was 7am, and you decided you could at least go for a shower before your day at work. Working at a bar that opened at 9am wasn’t exactly high class living; especially when you had to deal with drunks so early in the day, so it definitely required more motivation than most jobs. You couldn’t do what you were originally good at, dance. And you’d decided you probably shouldn’t be doing what you were trained for. Killing people.
Turning on the shower to allow it to warm up, you rid yourself of your clothes, suddenly aware of how stiff your muscles were after another bad dream. Stepping in you let the water try and wash it away, and though it did help you knew it would only reappear tonight in another form of a nightmare. You closed your eyes sighing in content, and it did last for a brief moment until you heard banging on your front door.
At first you tried to ignore it, but it got louder and more aggravated and suddenly your heart had fell to your stomach, resorting to thinking of the worst that could be behind that door. Getting out you threw some clothes back on. You reached under your bed grabbing your shot gun, holding it close to yourself as you slowly walked towards the door that had started banging again. Times like this you wished you had a peep hole to look through.
You turned on your best poker face and opened the door abruptly to be more hostile. Only you were met with someone you didn’t know, though for some reason you felt you recognised. On the other side of the door stood a woman all in black, her hair was in a blonde bob and for a brief second you thought you saw a reaction flash across her face like she knew you too.
“Is this y/n?” she spoke firmly and with poise.
You raised an eyebrow, “Why?”
“Is it?” she returned her poker face staying on her face.
“Yes.” You huffed, the half-amused face falling from your face, returning back to the glare you constantly wore. “Who are you?”
She raised her hand for you to shake her face accompanying it with a small smile, which you hesitantly took.
“Nice to finally meet you y/n, I’ve been looking for you under Fury’s instruction for a while, my name’s Natasha.”

Prompt; Bucky seems to be everywhere that you are, at the coffee shop, grocery store, at your favourite restaurant. You finally become acquainted.
Warnings; stalking, some fluff I guess, casual alcohol usage, bucky x reader, i’m a simp
You’d always felt alone. And so it happened that so did he. I guess he could sense it on you, a kind of chemical displeasure that radiated from your very core. But you both knew that despite its disadvantages, being alone meant the least probability of being hurt by others. At least, as much as you could control.
It comforted him, whether imagined or true, his perception that he wasn’t the only man on earth feeling the depth of his own emotions, his own misery. Haunted but desperately trying to crawl on from the deep dark hole of the past. And that was what led him to follow you.
It had been raining when you first bumped into the stranger; the sky had opened, reflecting the hell on earth facing it, back to us. With thunder, black clouds and plummeting rain.
He saw you taking refuge under the slim coverings of his most comforting spot, a humble coffee shop on the block of his apartment. He couldn’t put his finger on exactly what it was about you, maybe the way your eyes closed as a deep sigh escaped your lips, resting your back against the wall for a moment, the way he could sense a slight pain from your expression. Maybe you’d just had a bad day and needed to rest. Regardless, he was intrigued.
Bucky knew what he was doing was wrong, following somebody, but all those years acting as the Winter Soldier had to have given him some skills he could use for some good, maybe you could understand him and he you. Maybe it was wishful thinking, he would tell himself.
Alas, he continued his new mission. You.
You hadn’t noticed the prying blue eyes the first time. But you certainly noticed them when you rushed out of your apartment the next day, he had been leaning cooly outside the front entrance, a cigarette in hand. And you couldn’t help the captivation that followed.
You remembered being entranced by the handsome man leaning so casually against the wall. And your eyes raked over him as if you were walking in slow motion. He looked so strong, like the winds of hell wouldn’t budge him. His long dark hair framed those strong features. But most of all. It was the eyes. Piercing blue so deep you could fall in. Alas, work was calling.
The short barely-interaction left Bucky feeling electrified, excited. He knew that you had noticed him, by the long glance, and frankly, he couldn’t believe his luck that he had managed to track you down. He noted the time, this would make it useful to be able to run into you in the mornings.
These ‘barely-interactions’ continued for the following weeks, Bucky seemed to be everywhere you went, near your apartment, your favourite coffee spots, bars, even the grocery store. But you shrugged it off as a coincidence.
He obviously lived in the area; you would reason with yourself.
It wasn’t until you arrived somewhere he wasn’t expecting you to, that the real relationship would begin.
Bucky was finally taking some down time, having completed his thrilling run in for the day, he sat on a bar-stool staring up bored at the TV screen fixed to the wall of the bar, sipping numbly on a beer. He wanted more, but just didn’t know how to talk to you, or progress from a barely-interaction to a proper one. Unbeknownst to him, you had just wandered in, shattered from the work day in dire need of an alcoholic drink. You wandered up to the bar and sat, just two seats away from him. His senses were tired, but still super-enhanced, thus he became instantly alert when the scent he had memorised by now caught his attention. He slowly raised his head and turned towards you
“Oh…” You smiled softly with a chuckle. “I’ve been seeing you everywhere lately…” You murmured, becoming embarrassed by your words afterwards. “That sounds weird. I just don't even know what your name is…” You rambled, tripping over your eyes.
He smiled at you, even though his heart was beating a million miles an hour, trying to gauge whether you were onto him… Had he been caught out and you were here to interrogate him? Or tell him to just fuck off being a creep.
After a moment's silence, stunned, he cleared his throat. “Bucky.” He stuttered slightly. “My name is Bucky.”
“Nice to meet you properly, Bucky.” You said softly, reaching your arm across the bar to shake his hand playfully. But what he did took your breath away. Sometimes habits you learn in the 1940’s don’t shake easily, because he didn’t even consider that you might have found it strange, when he lifted your hand to his face and pressed a soft kiss against it.
Your cheeks burnt violently, blood rushing uncontrollably to the area. You felt completely stunned.
“Nice to meet you.” You whispered again.
He couldn’t help but feel triumphant at your reaction, the blushing and the hushed tone. Got you. He smirked.
“What you doin here then doll?” He smiled, moving into the chair next to you.
“Oh you know…” You laughed. “Trying to escape the dull pain of life through alcohol consumption.”
He nodded, knowing that particular abuse far too well, and he couldn’t help but feel the need to comfort you, hurt anybody that might’ve messed with you. Keep you in his loving arms.
You didn’t know exactly how, but Bucky knew you already.
You were his now

Pairing: Jensen x foster daughter!reader
Word Count: 6,100ish
Warnings: language, drinking, drugging, angst, fluff
A/N: This part takes place after the Jensen’s Day timestamp. Enjoy!
______
“Trick or treat!” said Allie after your dad answered the front door in a batman t shirt.
“Well aren’t you the cutest little Elsa,” he said. He dropped a few big handfuls of candy in her bag and then a few more. He tickled Colin and got a laugh from him. “Colin you are the most adorable baby Yoda ever cutie and I gotta say...you ain’t a half bad Mandalorian, kid. You almost look tough or something.”
“It’s cause I’m a badass,” said TJ as he stuck out his chest.
“It’s cause you’re a nerd,” said your dad. You walked inside, Colin giggling as your mom stole him away without a second glance. “Nice costume though.”
“Y/N picked it out off some website or something,” he said. He sneezed and your dad shut the door. “God my allergies are killing me lately. Ragweed is horrible this year.”
“I know. De and I have been popping allergy meds the past few days,” he said. “You get it the worst.”
“Yeah but I started taking it like a week ago to build it up. I think it’s helping. Also, a bounty hunter and an adoptive dad? Mmm, peak man crush right there, babe,” you said, your dad rolling his eyes as TJ kissed your cheek.
“And what exactly are you supposed to be? A curtain?” teased your dad as you spun around.
“I thought I’d go another route,” you said. You took off your robe and he went wide eyed. “Soldier...girl?”
“Oh my God. You’re Solider Boy. That is so fucking cool!” he said as he looked you over.
“Jay, fuck’s a bad word,” said Allie.
“And we don’t repeat bad words, do we,” said TJ. “De’s got some more candy for you somewhere I bet.”
She took off up to the TV room and your dad walked around you.
“What do you think?” you asked. “Look real?”
“Okay that’s like good. Like real good. It’s just like mine from the show. Like even the shield looks the same.”
“It’s from the show. Kripke sent it to me. I know it’s a little big for my back but I couldn’t not use it,” you said. “I took a long shot and asked him on Twitter about it and he just like sent me the thing. He was really nice.”
“Good,” he said as he looked you over. “I am impressed. You guys might win your costume contest thing at whatever bar you’re going to.”
“I just want to go drink,” you said, TJ throwing an arm over your shoulders. “We’ll be back around eleven, midnight?”
“Go have fun. Mom and I’ll watch the babies tonight. Pick ‘em up in the morning,” he said.
“We didn’t pack bags for them,” you said. He stared at you and shook his head.
“You live a quarter of a mile away. We shall survive without you for one evening,” he said, pushing you both out the door. “Go have fun with Cody. I’ll see your hungover butts tomorrow, okay?”
“Don’t have to tell us twice.”
“Cody,” you said at the bar a few hours later. He finished off his drink and shook out his head. “Can you check on TJ? He’s been in the bathroom awhile.”
“Yeah. Order me another gin and tonic?” he asked.
“Can do,” you said. You hopped off your seat and paused for a moment, getting your bearings before you walked over to the bar. “Gin and tonic and another...graveyard…”
“Graveyard smash?” asked the girl behind the bar.
“Yeah. Another one of those. Oh and a bottle of bud,” you said. You handed over your card to pay, tucking it back in your shorts pocket. You brought the drinks over to the table, finishing off your margarita and the last of TJ’s old beer before you started sipping on the Halloween mixer.
It took about thirty seconds before you realized what you’d done.
“Fuck,” you said. You pursed your lips and took out your phone, biting your bottom lip before you dialed.
“You better be drunk calling me,” chuckled your dad. “What’s up, kiddo?”
“The guys are in the bathroom and I just drank from a glass that nobody was watching,” you said. You shut your eyes and felt a little off, not sure if it was because of the already decent amount of alcohol in you or something else. “What do I do?”
“Go to the bar and sit there and don’t move. The boys will be back soon,” he said. You tried to move but felt wobbly and sat back on your seat. “Y/N, don’t hang up on me.”
“Dad, I don’t think I can walk over there,” you said. “I’m drunk but...shit I fucked up.”
“Where are you?” he asked.
“Um, the uh...the place to the right of Jared’s.”
“Okay. Sit there. I’m gonna call…” he said as you stared down at the bathrooms. “Y/N. Answer me.”
“I think something’s wrong,” you said. “The boys are taking too long.”
“Cody is a police officer and TJ is tougher than he looks. They’re probably throwing up or something,” he said.
“TJ said he felt funny,” you said as you stared at his glass. “What if it was in his drink?”
“I don’t know but whatever you do, do not leave your spot,” he said.
“But it’s TJ.”
“Y/N I’m having a hard enough time not freaking out right now. Please do not move,” he said.
“Hey! Soldier boy!” said a guy walking by in a homelander costume. “Nice suit.”
“Can you do me a favor?” you said, the guy smiling as he leaned against your table. “My husband and friend went to the bathroom a long time ago and didn’t come back. One’s the Mandalorian and the other one is a zombie. Can you check on them for me?”
“Yes I can very drunk girl,” he chuckled. “I’ll be back.”
“Y/N, stop putting the phone down,” said your dad in your ear.
“Homelander’s going to look for the boys.”
“Your boys or The Boys?” he asked.
“Should I have clarified?”
“Just...I’ll be there soon. Don’t-”
“Boys!” you said, Homelander wandering back over with a very pale looking TJ and a wet Cody.
“I think your friends were puking in the alley,” said Homelander.
“Thank you so much,” you said. “You’re so sweet.”
“Mind if I get a pic? Your costume is kinda perfect,” he said.
“Not at all,” you said. You hopped off your seat and felt better. “Ah, okay. Just drunk.”
“Hm?” said TJ as you hung up your call and the other guy gave him his phone. “Hey there’s a starlight over there too.”
“Starlight! Come get your pic taken with the Seven, girl!” you shouted.
“She’s drunk,” said the homelander guy with a laugh.
“After three of those graveyard smash things? Oh for sure,” said TJ.
Half an hour later you were onto another drink and TJ was fanboying over star wars with another guy in a Mandalorian outfit. Cody was talking to the starlight chick who was maybe in a relationship with the homelander guy. They were at least mutually pining for one another if they weren’t already.
“Morris. Come on. I’m drunk and even I can tell Kayla Starlight over there is dying for you to ask her out,” you said. He shrugged and you cocked your head. “Oh come on.”
“She’s been my best friend since I was like four. Like, I can’t fuck up twenty something years of friendship if she’s...how fucked am I?” he asked as you smirked.
“So fucked,” you laughed. “Trust me. I was besties with my husband for years before we finally talked about it. Sometimes you just gotta-”
“Why the fuck haven’t you been answering your phone?” you heard your dad say. You spun around and gave him a smile.
“Is that the guy that played-”
“Walk away kid. Now,” growled your dad.
“See ya around, Y/N,” he said, Kayla disappearing with a wave with him. TJ spun around and your dad shot him a dirty look.
“What’d I do?” asked TJ.
“You three are glued to your phones yet tonight for some reason, you seem to have forgotten they exist. If you’d read a text then you’d know that she called me half an hour ago saying she thought she’d been drugged.”
“What?” Cody and TJ said, both of them staring at you.
“Fuck, Y/N I thought someone took you,” said your dad. You opened your mouth and he shook his head.
“She’s just drunk,” said TJ.
“Well thanks for the update. You could have answered your phone,” he said. He glared at you and shook his head. “Don’t ever do that again.”
He left the bar and you slid off your seat, jogging outside, telling the boys you’d be back in a minute. There were a lot of people out for a Friday night and it took a second to find him in the crowd.
“Dad,” you said. You caught up with him as he walked down the sidewalk. You tugged on his arm and the man spun around, very much not your father. “Sorry. I thought you were someone else.”
“Nice costume,” he said and you stepped back into another body, your head swimming. “You gonna puke? Alley’s over there.”
You turned your head and jogged around the corner, spitting up your stomach with a big heave. You wiped off your mouth and sighed, getting up to your feet. There was a shove on your back and you got pushed further into the darkness, falling onto the dirt and gravel. You spun around on your bottom and saw the guy from before.
“Be more careful, kid. You’re tripping there.”
“You pushed me,” you grumbled as you stood up, picking up a rock in your fist as you went.
“You’re on something. You got that look in your eye,” he said. You narrowed your eyes and he walked forward, close enough for you to whack him in the head with the rock. He swore as he fell down and you ran back onto the street, jogging away until you got to a street corner and saw a familiar back of someone’s head.
“Dad,” you said, tugging on his jacket, relieved to find it was him this time. “Dad, there was-”
“I don’t want to speak to you right now,” he said. You swallowed and stared at him, his face hard.
“Dad. I-”
“You never hang up the phone with me when you call me like that ever again, do you understand?” he said. You stared at him and his jaw clenched. “Of course you don’t. You’re drunk.”
“Dad I’m not. I-”
“You smell like vomit,” he said with a scoff. You turned around and saw the man from before hanging back, shooting you a look. “Go back to the bar, Y/N.”
“Dad-”
“Would you just go?” he shouted.
“Dad don’t. I need-”
“For fucks sake. Just go away.”
You let go of his arm, tears welling in your eyes.
“Grow up,” he said. You stepped back, watching him walk across the street.
“D-Daddy,” you said. He stopped in the crosswalk and looked back at you, his gaze following yours over to the man. The man saw him look at him and took off back towards the bars when he saw your dad scowling. Your dad jogged back over to you, tensing when you took a step back from him.
“No one’s gonna hurt you,” he said. He stepped closer and you squeezed your eyes shut. “Y/N. What’s wrong?”
“I feel funny and I’m drunk and I’m scared and I’m scared of you,” you breathed out. “You were gonna leave me alone.”
“Y/N-”
“You said you wouldn’t leave me alone,” you said. You stumbled over to a nearby wall and slide down it, your head in your hands. “Don’t leave me alone. You promised. You said so.”
“Okay,” he said as he sat down beside you. He kissed the top of your head and you heard him shudder. “You’re okay, munchkin, I promise.”
“How are you feeling this morning?” asked the doctor that walked into your room.
“Tired,” you mumbled. TJ and Cody were there in their own stalls, still in their costumes, your dad out in the hall talking to someone.
“Your blood alcohol content was up there,” he said. “Especially you, Y/N.”
“I want to go home,” you groaned.
“You’ll be discharged shortly,” he said. You grumbled and half an hour later you were signing something that you could leave.
“Y/N,” said your dad as you walked away from the nurses station. You glanced over your shoulder, glancing down until he came over. “We need to talk about last night.”
“No we don’t. We got too drunk. I fucked up. Lesson learned,” you said. You started to head out and he grabbed your shoulder. “Jensen let go.”
“Y/N,” he said, spinning you around. He opened his mouth and you crossed your arms, shrugging him off. “I made a mistake.”
“I had to beg you to help me. I called you daddy I was so scared,” you said. He shut his eyes and you growled. “Look at me.”
He snapped his eyes up, his eyes a little red already but you were too angry to care.
“The only other time I’ve ever called you that, I thought you were dead on that road. I thought...I thought there was absolutely...I was drunk and maybe drugged and your reaction was to get pissed at me, at us, for not answering phones. A man tried to attack me and I got away because my dad told me to grab whatever I could if I was ever in that situation. There you were, the safest place in the world, the safest I could ever feel after something like that happened and you told me to go away. I was terrified and you could see it on my face and you left me. You made me beg for you to help me. I don’t know who the fuck you were last night but you were not my father. You’re Jensen again until he decides to come back.”
“Y/N,” he said quietly. “I’m sorry.”
“Congratulations. You’re just like every other foster father I ever had.”
He stared at you and you turned around, walking past both TJ and Cody.
“Y/N,” said TJ and you kept walking. “Y/N. Jensen, she didn’t mean that.”
“Yes, I did. Let’s go TJ.”
One Week Later
The doorbell rang and you rolled your eyes, TJ walking past the couch and away from the door.
“TJ, can-”
“Tell him yourself,” he said, going to his office and slamming the door. You glared at it before going to the front door. You opened it quickly, your dad standing there in his raincoat and swallowing thickly.
“Is this about work?” you asked.
“No,” he said quietly.
“Then get off of my property.”
“Y/N-” he said as you slammed the door shut in his face. He rang the doorbell again and you ripped it open. “Honey-”
“I’m not your honey or kiddo or tall munchkin or anything, Jensen. This is me telling you that I want you out of my life,” you said. He lowered his head and you heard him sniffle. “I don’t give a fuck about if you cry. Get out of our lives. Stay away from my family.”
“I’ll do whatever you want me to,” he breathed out, forcing his head up. His eyes were red and puffy, face tired like it’d been that way for days. “I’ll do whatever you want. I promise.”
“You humiliated me,” you said, stepping outside and pulling the door shut. “I thought you loved me.”
“I do,” he said. “I love you so much you-”
“You don’t even know. Boo fucking hoo,” you said. He stepped back and looked small, rain dripping down on him now. “The real world sucks. Get used to it.”
“I made a mistake. Please,” he said. “Y-you don’t have to forgive me. You can...just let me try. Please. We’ve always tried. P-please let me try.”
You stared at him, watching him look down, watching him debate getting on his knees.
And it dawned on you what you’d done. What you’d said.
“Y/N, Y/N, honey,” said TJ. You looked up from the floor of your bathroom, your dad knelt down on your other side. “Honey, look at me.”
He grabbed your face and you felt wet tears streaming steadily down your cheeks.
“What happened?” you asked. “I was on the porch and now I’m here?”
“You were talking to your dad outside and he said you just...fell over crying.”
“Something’s wrong with me,” you said. You shut your eyes and TJ looked around.
“I’m gonna call the doctor,” he said. “Jensen can you keep an eye on her?”
“Of course,” he said. He kept his distance and you sniffled, opening your eyes. He looked down when you met his eyes and you started to cry.
“I’m sorry,” you said. You grabbed his arm and sat up on your knees, giving him a big hug. “Dad I’m so sorry. I love you. Please forgive me. Please. Please. I’m sorry. I want to be your daughter. I want my dad back. Please.”
“I wasn’t going anywhere,” he said. He relaxed and felt like himself again, your head resting on his shoulder.
“Uh, guys?” asked TJ. You lifted your head up, TJ holding up his phone. “Y/N, I think I know why you freaked out on Jensen so bad.”
“How would the doctor know that over the phone?” asked your dad.
“There’s a recall out on a certain allergy medication warning people not to take it according to this headline,” said TJ.
“Why would-”
“It’s not allergy medicine. It’s an antipsychotic drug. They mixed up the pills during manufacturing. Apparently if you give those to people that don’t need them, it fucks with their heads,” said TJ.
“You take them too,” you said as TJ nodded, your dad quiet. “Dad you and mom do-“
“I think we all better go to the hospital and get checked out. Right now.”
“How do you feel?” asked your mom a few hours later.
“My head feels normal again,” you sighed from your hospital bed. You opened your eyes, her hand running over your head. “Did I fuck it up. With dad. I think I broke it. That thing we had and it’s never going to fix back the same way.”
“You were on a very strong antipsychotic without you knowing. We are lucky all you had was some anger and a few delusions. It could have been much worse,” she said. “Daddy’s not mad, sweetie.”
“Mom I’ve never seen him like that. I was so…”
“Wasn’t just you,” he said as he rounded the corner into the room. He was out of his clothes and in a pair of pants and a plain t shirt now, holding up the bracelet on his wrist. “Why’d I have to get all the crying? I would have rather have been pissed off like you got.”
“Your test came back positive?” asked your mom.
“Yeah. So far that’s Y/N, me, TJ, Cody. The younger kids don’t seem to have it thankfully since they take the kid version. They want you to get tested though,” he said.
“But mom’s been normal,” you said as you sat up.
“Well…” he said as she rolled her eyes. “Mom’s been a little...aggressive in-”
“Don’t need to know,” you said. He chuckled and he took a seat on the opposite bed, your mom heading out. They hooked him up to an IV to clear out his system and he took a seat beside you on the bed. You looked down, getting a bump on the shoulder. His hand as on his lap, palm facing up and you smiled.
“Thatta girl,” he said as you rested yours in it. “Gonna take more than some antipsychotics to tear us apart.”
“You are the greatest foster father I’ve ever had and arguably the kindest human being I’ve ever known,” you said. He was quiet and you took a deep breath, looking across the room. “You protected me, even when you were being affected by this. I want you to forget everything I’ve said from Halloween night on. It wasn’t true. Not a second of it.”
“Was the daddy part true?” he asked. “The accident.”
“I expect you to protect me when TJ’s not around. I expect it when he is too to be honest. I spent a long time protecting myself. I was scared on that road. You couldn’t protect me. You couldn’t protect me from watching you almost die. I know how life works and that parents are not invulnerable. They get hurt. They get angry. They make mistakes. They’re human. But I’ll always be your child and on a rare occasion, I’ll need my fucking daddy to tell me it’s okay and I’ll believe him. I’m sorry for hurting him so badly.”
“You are still as ridiculous as the day you walked in your room and told me not to bother with you,” he said, tucking your hair behind your ear. “You can hurt me. You can destroy me. You can ruin me beyond repair. You’re the only thing that puts me back together though. Heals the wounds so I forget they existed. I’ve been broken before. More than you know. I am sure I will fall apart again too. But these small creatures I call my children fix all of that. The girl who ran away, who was afraid of me, she just told me I make her feel safe. I protect her. So I’m sorry but I won’t forgive you since there’s nothing to forgive. You weren’t yourself and neither was I yet you still pushed past it and realized this wasn’t normal for us. Maybe some people fight and some families would have let it go but we know we don’t stop trying in this family. Even when we’re all a little off. I’m proud of you.”
“For what?” you said quietly. He fixed your hair again, playing with it for a moment. He tickled the back of your ear and you giggled. “Dad.”
“Giggles never hurt either,” he said. He threw his arm over your shoulders and pulled you in close, kissing the top of your head. “You’re not that scared kid anymore, Y/N. You’re never gonna be her again. You’re strong. Even now, I know this will bother you for a little while but it won’t change anything. We’ll be even better if that’s possible.”
“You were begging me at the house,” you said.
“Could have gotten that new bronco you’ve been looking at. Sounds like you lost out,” he chuckled.
“Dork,” you said as you hugged him.
“I’m sorry for how I acted that night at the bar too. I’ll never do it again. I promise to not leave your side if you ever call me for help. Not for a second.”
“Dad you don’t have to apologize.”
“I’m bigger than you. I get to force this apology,” he said. “Am I forgiven?”
“Always,” you said. You saw a guy go past in the hall and you went wide eyed. “That’s the guy from the alley!”
“Hey,” said your dad with a smile as you got up. He walked out with his IV, you on his tail as the guy turned around with his doctor. The man looked at you and shook his head. “You’re the dickhead that tried to hurt my daughter aren’t you? I thought that was you.”
“Ew,” you said, looking at the infected cut on his head. Your dad moved forward and you caught his arm. “Um, maybe we can call the police?”
A security guard at the nurse’s station got up and the man sighed, your dad narrowing his eyes.
“I was only gonna kill him a little,” he said. The man stared and your dad cocked his head. “I’m hopped up on anti-psychotics buddy. I can be very creative.”
“Dad,” you said, dragging him back into the room. “Let the police handle it.”
“I did get a little too happy about fantasizing over that,” he said as he sat down. You rolled your eyes and took a seat, laying back on the bed.
“Am I too big for a cuddle?” you asked.
“Nope, especially not in the hospital,” he said. He sat back and you rested your head on his shoulder. “Where is that husband of yours anyways?”
“I think he’s on the phone with the lawyer trying to sue or something,” you said. “Let him wander the halls and get it out of his system.”
“Excuse me?” You both turned to look at the door. “Hi. I’m Morris Harrison with Richmond...Solider Boy?”
“Homelander?” you said as Morris shook his head. “Uh, hi?”
“Hi. I uh, I’m a lawyer at Richmond and Associates and we’re working the class action against the pharmaceutical manufacturer. I got a call about more cases,” he said, handing over a business card.
“We’ll be getting the family lawyer in contact with you rest assured,” said your dad. He nodded and looked away. “You okay?”
“Morris this is my dad, Jensen. Dad this is the nice boy from the bar you shouted at,” you said.
“To be fair, I was mentally impaired...and I mean come on, Homelander? Gotta be careful of those,” he smirked.
“I was actually gonna be…” he said, shaking his head. “Sorry.”
“You and Kayla were gonna be Sam and Dean! Oh yeah. Now I remember,” you said.
“I like the new friend,” chuckled your dad.
“I’ll see you guys around sometime. Maybe a little less drinking this time?” said Morris.
“Yeah. Text TJ. We’ll get together,” you said. “Oh. I gotta ask. How’d the Kayla situation work out?”
“We have our sixth date tonight,” he said. You grinned and he rolled his eyes. “You’re alright drunk girl.”
“Later Homelander,” you said with a wave as he left.
“He was nice,” said your dad. “Did I really shout at him?”
“Yeah. I think he’s a fan so thank you for being nicer this time,” you said.
“Well...at least you made a few new friends out of this experience?” he said. “Silver lining?”
“I will take a quiet, happy day for now,” you said.
“Me too, kiddo.”
Three Days Later
It was after ten when you slipped inside your parents house. It was a little dark, your siblings all at sleepovers. You poked your head around a corner, your dad in the kitchen mixing two cocktails together. He lifted his head up, cocking his head.
“Y/N?” he asked as you stepped out from around the corner. “What are you doing here?”
“I know you and mom got the house to yourselves so I’ll only be a minute,” you said.
“Uh, what?” he said as you walked over and gave him a hug. He returned it and ran his hand over your head. “Y/N. I know you didn’t mean what you said. You can stop apologizing. Please.”
“I know,” you said.
“Alright then,” he said. “I’ll take free hugs anytime.”
“Dad.”
“Yeah?” he asked as you squeezed him hard. He returned it and you smirked as you looked up. “What are you up to?”
“Can I show you something?” you asked. He nodded and you pulled him with you towards your old room, back to being one for guests. You walked him inside and sat him down on the bed as he watched you. You went over to the closet and turned on the light reaching up top into a shoe box. You took it down and walked it over, handing it to him.
“What’s this?” he asked.
“My dad’s kinda sappy and he writes me these letters,” you said. He rolled his eyes but smiled, putting his hands on top. “I started writing back. I put them in this box and figured one day you’d find them. But I know it wouldn’t hurt for you to maybe peek a look now after everything.”
He nodded and smiled, freezing when he took off the lid.
“Y/N...how many letters is this?”
“A boxful?” you said. “I maybe write them with more...frequency than he does. They are dated and hopefully in order.”
He picked out the first one and shut his eyes. You bit your bottom lip and he took a deep breath.
“This is from four days after your seventeenth birthday.”
“Every time I went to therapy I wrote one. Some are for mom but your names are on the envelopes.”
“Why does this one say dad?” he asked, holding up the first one. “I wasn’t dad for years.”
“Oh we both know you were my father the first day I stepped foot in here,” you said. “I could pretend to a piece of paper. It was safe. It wouldn’t hurt me. I started calling you dad in my head a very long time ago. I just didn’t say it in case you didn’t want me to be your daughter in the end.”
He put the envelope back in the box and carefully put the lid on, tucking it by his side. He wiped off his face with the back of his hands and looked up at you.
“Next month you turn twenty eight. You’ll have been with us for a hair over eleven years. This last year...the accident...TJ and his dad...now this...you’re the adult more lately than I am.”
“Dad I’m almost twenty eight like you said. But my head still feels...younger. You’re fifty one. But you still probably think of yourself as a twenty year old kid.”
“You are learning the secrets of adulthood after all,” he said, wiping off his face again. “Y/N...I have this fear when it comes to you. It’s only you. I understand why. But it’s a fear I’ve lived with for quite a long time. It’s a fear I thought came true earlier in the week.”
“She was a bitch that didn’t know better.”
“Don’t call yourself a bitch,” he said, sounding young, shaking his head. “You’ve always been tougher than me. I put on a good act but I’m...I’m privileged and I’ve had an easy life and even that seems hard sometimes. I couldn’t be you. I’m not strong enough. I’m not strong enough to erase the fear that I had, that lingered.”
“What are you afraid of?” you asked as you sat down on the bed.
I have always loved you. But there was a time you didn’t love me and it took a while before it was unconditional. I’ve always had this fear that I would fuck up and hurt you, make you not love me anymore and that’s selfish of me. I know it is. But I can’t lose you. It just...I was broken last week. Like somebody ripped part of my soul out and it was gone forever. I’ve dealt with grief and death and heartbreak and nothing has ever hurt like that. The drugs did all that I know but...I would have done anything to get you back. Anything. And this girl, this amazing young woman, she writes me letters. She’s been writing me letters for eleven years. I never had to be afraid of you either, did I.”
“No,” you said. “But it’s okay. Boys are allowed to get scared too.”
“Your parents did a pretty good job with you,” he said.
“Yes. I think the four of them did too,” you said.
“I didn’t raise you.”
“Yes you did,” you said. You shoved a hand in your pocket and pulled out an envelope, handing it to him.
“Another for the box?” he asked.
“I already snuck today’s in there,” you said. “This is different.”
“What is it?”
“Just open it.” He untucked the flap and laughed, pulling out the sheet of paper. “TJ thought it was cute.”
“An IOU to tag along whenever I’d like when you go out drinking,” he chuckled. “I’m gonna need several hundred more of these while you’re at it.”
“How about like three?” you said.
“I will settle for you calling me if you think you’re in trouble,” he said. You nodded and he rested his head on your shoulder. “Even drugged up you still did that.”
“Well, the drugs didn’t kick in really until that night. Having allergies sucks,” you said. “You get the runny nose and itchy eyes and the crazy stuff. So not fun.”
“Nope,” he said, giving you a hug. “I was totally gonna have sex with mom all night but now I got all these letters to read.”
“Oh God, gross,” you said, shuddering as you stood up. He laughed and lay back on the bed, giggling as you shook yourself off. “I don’t need to hear about your nasty sex life.”
“I have an incredible sex life. Like so much-”
“Goodbye father,” you said as you walked out of the room.
“You don’t even want to know how often if I’m being honest,” he said as you walked quickly to the front door. He cracked up and you groaned. “Night, kiddo.”
“Night, dad. Enjoy your letters.”
You woke up around three in the morning, rolling over in bed and catching a few texts on your phone. You lifted your head and saw they were from your dad, a smile growing across your face.
I read the last letter first. All I gotta say is you never have to worry about me going away, no matter how much you scream and shout. You’re stuck with me forever, kiddo. Not even strong medication can tear that apart. Nothing can.
Also, for the record, I get to be the sap in this relationship, not you. Box full of cards. Do you know how hard it is to one up that? Do you? Keeping me on my toes kid. I’m sure I’ll come up with something though.
Love you tall munchkin.
“Something wrong?” mumbled TJ. You put your phone down and shook your head.
“Not at all,” you said. You tucked in close to his side, TJ rolling to his own and tucking your head under his chin. He hummed and rubbed your arm, kissing the top of your head. “Love you.”
“Love you too, honey.”

always together, but not really – r.hintz
“Miro.” You threatened, he hadn’t admitted to you that some of his teammates would also be at the bar until right before he dragged you inside. “Y/N.” He mimicked, his accent strong and slightly mispronouncing your name. “If Roope is here, I’m leaving.” You demanded, digging your feet down, he gave you a light tug to get you moving again. “Why do you hate him?” Miro teased you, knowing it wasn’t like that at all, quite the opposite actually, but after a very drunk make out session with Roope and then him hardly speaking to you after that. It forced you to create distance even though you wanted to close the gap.
“Please, not tonight.” You sighed, shooting your friend a pleading look, he gave in, seeing the tiredness around your eyes after a long week at work, “fine, he’s here but you don’t have to talk.” He muttered, tucking you under his arm as he walked, you sighed in relief, thanking him as he ordered you a drink. “Hey, Y/N.” Tyler grinned, nudging you as you approached, “hey.” You mirrored his smile, it was no secret that you’d had it rough this week, as Miro had answered your panicked phone call last night and didn’t get a chance to tell you it was on speaker before you started rambling in the midst of tears. You’d met him right when he came to Texas, you offered to help him with his English and a friendship blossomed from there. He was easily your closest friend, as most of the girls your age would just use you to become close to the guys. It was a shame really, but they all loved you like a sister so who were they to complain.
Miro muttered about going to see the others and left you with Tyler, laughing as you rolled your eyes. You’d seen Tyler mature a lot in the past couple of years, and it simply grew your trust and respect for him. “How ya doing?” He asked, sitting on the stool beside you as you sipped on your fruity drink. You shrugged, “better, just frustrated you know.” You explained vaguely, it had just been one of those times where if everything could go wrong, it would. You were on the tail end of it now, finally, so you were trying to let it go, but it was sweet that all the guys had been worried about you. Some of them even threatening to fight your boss, jokingly of course, or so you hoped…
“Such a tough cookie.” Tyler quipped, messing up your hair, “hands off, Seguin!” You gasped, blindly smoothing out the hair he had tousled, he snickered as he slinked off back to the group, giving you know choice but to come socialize, or sit at the bar alone. Which he knew you hated. “Jerk.” You muttered, pinching the back of his arm as you walked past him, you settled into a flow with Esa and Jason. Talking nonsense and jokes, you could feel eyes on the back of your head, and before you knew it, you were nearly all alone again. Just you and Esa speaking as everyone wandered off doing their own things, “Roope.” You mumbled with a nod, acknowledging him as he stepped over, he moved his hand in a small wave, not really speaking as Esa trailed off. “Uh, I think Tyler’s looking for me.” He mumbled before dashing away, you were on your second drink of the night, not very tipsy, but the edge had been removed certainly.
“How’s work?” He asked, and you took it as a jab, you gave him a blank stare, “are you serious?” You questioned, standing up straighter, he furrowed his brows, “yes?” He tilted his head, slightly confused as he nursed his beer. “Oh, shit, wait wait, nevermind.” Roope looked like a light went on in his brain, “Miro told me.” He mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck. You nodded silently, “sorry.” You laughed under your breath, not wanting him to think of you as rude. He shrugged it off, the two of you having the most conversation you’d had in weeks.
***
“Oh.” You paused, walking into your apartment, and seeing the shoes in your entryway. “Miro, I said the key was for emergencies only.” You called, a laugh at the end, you walked towards the living room, stopping as it was Roope sitting there and not Miro, “Roope? How did you get in?” You gasped, he was scrolling on his phone, and didn’t answer you, you stepped closer and noticed the earbuds in his ears. You smirked, taking your heel from work and lightly tossing it at his back, laughing as he shouted, flying up off the couch. Arm craned back like he was ready to punch someone. “It’s just me.” You managed to get out between laughs, he shook his head, taking the earbuds out. “How did you get in here?” You asked again, “Miro let me in, he said he needed help putting something up for you? I don’t know, but when we got here he got a call that his apartment was flooding.” Roope explained, nearly out of breath from how you’d scared him. Your face fell into understanding, and an inaudible aw fell from your lips as you realized Miro wasn’t joking when he said he’d help you move the furniture in your room around. Something you’d been wanting to do for a while but never had the time or the help.
“He drove you here didn't he?” You asked, meaning Roope didn’t have an immediate way to leave, “yeah.” Roope chuckled nervously, not sure what you were getting at. “Could you help me then? I’m pretty sure this is why he had you here anyways.” You shrugged, motioning for him to follow you towards your bedroom, he hesitated, but when you glanced back at him with a soft, pleading smile, he began to walk right behind you.
“So,” you started, going on to explain to him what you wanted to do, he nodded along, agreeing when you would end something with a hum, looking for approval. He had no idea what he was talking about, he didn’t care where his furniture was, as long as there was a bed and a tv he was fine. But he could tell you were thrilled, with him no less, when he agreed to help you. He watched as you rushed off to grab something to change into, not very flexible in your office attire, he wandered around your room as you changed in the bathroom.
His eyes landed on your bed, and how clean and crisp it was, much like you, always put together even in the most stressful of times. He looked to the wall, the only wall where you had things hanging, mostly photos scattered around random signs, he couldn’t help but smile as he spotted one of you and Miro from a few years back, he’d always thought you were pretty, but now as he looked at you then, and at you now. He knew you had only gotten more stunning, he turned around when you cleared your throat, “you done looking at my stuff?” You teased, he felt whatever tension he had leave his body at your words. The most normal you had treated him since before he drunkenly kissed you, something he regretted because you deserved better. He wanted to give you better.
“Sorry.” He laughed, “so, where do we start?”
You collapsed on your bed with a groan, Roope following suit, “that took a lot longer than I thought it would.” You mumbled into your mattress, Roope laughed as he took the chance to glance over at you. He thought to himself, about how he couldn’t think of a time when he was in a girls room, in her bed, without it being for sex. He thought of how this felt more intimate as you two shared conversations and laughed over how he couldn’t understand your directions. You flipped over and he quickly looked back to the ceiling, “thanks for helping, dinners on me.” You offered, feeling heat run through your body as he smiled over at you. “It’s ok, you don’t have to do that.” He mumbled, his fingers brushing against yours on the bed, neither of you moved your hands, you let your head fall to the side, smile widening as he stared into your eyes. “What?” You whispered, feeling him slide his hand over yours, easily surrounding it. “Y/N, shit I’m sorry, I was trying to surprise– oh.” Miro shouted rushing to find you as he entered the apartment and saw you’d already come from work. He froze in the doorway as you and Roope leaped apart as if you were doing something wrong, “you moved everything.” He spoke, trying to keep you from feeling awkward.
Roope nodded, “uh yeah, it’s the least I could do since she came home and found me hanging out in her place, because you ditched me.” Roope joked with his friend, you laughed in agreement. “So, your apartment flooded?” You changed the subject, laughing as Miro now fell dramatically on your bed, complaining about how they’d called the wrong apartment owner.
***
A famous Tyler Seguin end of the season house party, only this time a little bit more together due to his girlfriend helping him. You laughed with some of the girls as the guys roughed it up outside, never failing to amaze you how they weren’t beat after a whole season of playing. “So, Y/N, has Roope made a move yet?” Alandra asked, wiggling her eyebrows at you, an exasperated sigh fell from your lips as you filled them in on everything. They nodded along, occasionally putting in their two cents, by the time you’d finished the guys were getting rowdy and begging you to come do something with them, everyone went to their significant others, and you bounced around with whoever was single currently. “Roope is looking at you.” Miro quipped, looking past you, you glanced over your shoulder and smiled at Roope, he mirrored the action, winking at you. Miro gaped at the sight, “don’t tell me he doesn’t like you anymore.” Miro rolled his eyes, all but shoving you towards his friend. You glared but proceeded to walk towards Roope, casually jumping into conversation with him and Rads. Roope smiled down at you, as the time went by and you casually stepped closer to him. He could see the way you would shiver as the breeze came through. Eventually he lightly put his arm over your shoulder, hoping you couldn’t feel his heart racing as you leaned against him, welcoming the warmth he was providing you.
Somewhere along the way, you two had ended up on the large outdoor couch, Alandra on the other side of you, her feet occasionally nudging you as you started drifting in and out, you smacked her ankle away, glaring lightly, she smirked as you rested your hand on Roope’s leg, your eyes falling shut. He adjusted his arm so you’d be more comfortable, “it’s ok, rakas, you can sleep.” He whispered when no one was looking. The pet name, that you’d heard before when Miro was speaking, made your heart flutter. You sighed in content as his fingers absentmindedly drew shapes on your back, lulling you to sleep.
***
That was a week ago, and you had thought things were going good, but then after that night, Roope pulled away again. At this point you weren't upset, you were angry, wanting answers to why he was playing with your emotions like that. That’s what led to you knocking loudly on his door early one morning, you could hear him cursing as he stumbled to the door. “Y/N?” He spoke, confused as you stormed inside the second the door was open, “I need to know why you keep doing this!” You groaned, pulling at your hair, he lightly shut the door, holding in a sigh, afraid this is what would happen as he couldn’t decide how to just tell you he liked you. “You can’t just call me darling, and let me sleep on you and then just stop talking to me! It isn’t fair Roope.” You rushed your words out, he nodded, stepping closer to you, “it’s not fair! It hurts me, I just need to know if I mean something to you.” He frowned at your words, lightly cupping your face, “don’t cry, rakas.” He whispered, “Roope.” You cautioned, trying to pry yourself from his hands, but you couldn’t, it felt too nice.
“Y/N, I’m sorry I did that, I was dumb. I should have just told you that I liked you from the beginning, but then we kissed and I thought you deserved better. Then we started seeing each other more and–“ “you like me?” You cut him off, placing your hands over his wrists, his hands still resting on your face, he went to move them back but you held him in place. “Do you like me Roope?” You whispered, he nodded, not breaking his eyes from yours. “I like you too.” You told him, just to make sure he got it in that thick head of his, “and I’d really like it if you asked me out, finally.” You could barely finish as he pulled you in for a kiss, smiling against you as it was even better than he remembered. “Wanna go out sometime?” He breathed out, eyes crinkling as you dipped your head back in laughter. “Yeah, I’d like that.”

Chapter Three:
There’s a memory that haunts you from when you were young. It’s always there at the back of your mind, coming up at the most inconvenient of times. Well, it’s not like there is a convenient time for you to remember such a thing but sometimes it catches you when you’re at a really bad place.
Sometimes you remember it when you have one who hides their phones for more reasons than just “privacy,” one who only takes you out when there’s no one around who knows the two of you, one who disappears without a trace only to come back with flowers and excuses, the smell of another woman’s perfume on their clothes.
Sometimes you remember it when there’s nothing for you to worry about, like now, when you’re under Sam, his weight more comforting than suffocating, trying to catch your breath after a mind shattering orgasm. Your ceiling, something that’s never been impressive before, has your full attention as you try to gather yourself, lure your soul back into your body.
“I-I think. I think I lost my vision for a second there,” you breathe out, earning a chuckle from Sam.
“You flatter me, princess.”
“What was that? I can’t hear either,” you push your hair away from your face. It’s damp with sweat. You’re going to need another shower. “I think I entered another dimension. I think I saw God.”
Sam pushes himself off of you and kisses you gently on the lips. You’d think he was asking for another round if he wasn’t as tired as you. “Not God,” he says, voice deep. He’s caught his breath, the rise and fall of his chest steady. It’s kind of funny that a smoker can recover faster than you. “Just me.”
And it’s the word “just” that sticks to you, that repeats itself over and over in your head, that brings forth the memory that you’ve desperately try to keep at the back of your mind, locked up and buried. It’s the memory of a phone screen, a chat with a coded name, pictures of a woman you don’t know. A woman who isn’t your mother that your father messages, saves pictures of.
You were young when you found out, much younger than you are now, and although deep down, you knew, you’ve always known your father was a man who could not be trusted, a man who had straying eyes, long trips with women he called friends, you were hurt. Betrayed. Because you always thought that things like this only happened on TV, in books, to friends and classmates.
But not you.
And yet, here you are, in bed with a man who hides his phone, disappears for long periods of times, and has a history you don’t even know where to begin to look into. A man who acts so much like the ones before, only sweeter, gentler, but still suspicious.
And you’ve been hurt by men like him before and you don’t know if you can take another blow. Not from someone like Sam.
So, you push away the memory and say, “Just you and,” And you hesitate for a second, find the courage somewhere deep inside you to ask, to finally ask, “And it’s just me, right?”
“You scared me for a second,” Sam lets out a breath you didn’t know he was holding and you realize that you had paused at the wrong word, the double meaning. You offer him a small smile, an apology. “Yes, it’s just you.” He confirms and you feel yourself relax, only away now of how tense you were.
“Good,” you say, looking back up at your ceiling. “That’s good. I, uh, I wasn’t sure.”
“This has been bothering you?” Sam gets off of you and you instinctively cover yourself with a pillow as Sam has your blanket thrown over his waist. You never thought you’d have this conversation with him. You never thought you’d get to ask one of your questions and actually get an answer. You wish that you had clothes on for this.
“A bit,” you say. “I know we aren’t, well, a thing, but when I saw you with your sister-in-law and when I didn’t know she was your sister-in-law, I have to say, I panicked.”
“You thought I was cheating on you?” Sam lets out a chuckle like the thought of it is absurd but he doesn’t know, he doesn’t know what went through your mind that day in the café.
“I thought you were cheating on her. I’m not really a fan of being the other woman.”
Sam winces and you can see that there’s something he wants to ask but doesn’t know if he should. Huh. You wonder if you’re that easy to read.
“From experience,” you end up saying anyway, just because you know how it feels to have your questions answered. “It would be nice, I think, if we’re clear on some things. Be on the same page, you know?”
“I’m not looking for a girlfriend.” Sam looks at you straight in the eye, like this is important, that if you don’t get this then that’s that. And you do get it because for all the things you don’t know about Sam, you can at least say you knew this.
“I know. I can’t say I’d be a good one anyway.” You know you can’t base your worth on past relationships but sometimes you can’t help but think that there was something you lacked, that you came up short somewhere, that made the relationships turn sour. Psychopaths and unfaithful husbands aside. “But we aren’t exactly a one-night stand anymore.”
Sam rubs the back of his neck and the action causes you to look at his tattoos, the familiar sight of birds in flight. Tim had mentioned them that day in the café, said something about prison tattoos, and you’d just rolled your eyes at him. But then you think about the scars and gunshot wounds and you can’t exactly say that Sam lives a normal, danger-free life.
“So, what do you want, princess?” Sam asks, reaching down to pick up his shirt. It seems like his clothes weren’t flung too far from the bed. You can see your pants by your bedroom door. “Cuz I don’t know what I can give ya.”
“Well,” you play with the ends of your pillow case just so you have something to do with your hands. There are so many things you want. Answers, for one thing. That’s number one. But Sam looks tired and you sort of feel guilty for springing this on him. Because, again, this isn’t a normal relationship. He doesn’t owe you anything and if you ask for more than he can give, well, this just isn’t going to work.
And you want this to work. You can’t deny yourself that truth. You want whatever it is Sam can give you. So, you say, “It wouldn’t hurt if you’d give me a heads up before you leave for God knows where. It’s not fun thinking you’ve gotten tired of me and just disappeared off of the face of the earth.”
Sam lets out a breath you don’t think he realized he was holding. “A call, I can do that.”
“You can even just text me. Email. I don’t have a pager but if that’s how you work…”
“I’m not that old, princess,” Sam rolls his eyes, a smirk playing on his lips. “I’ll call you. I promise.”
And it’s the word “promise” that sticks to you, that repeats itself over and over in your head, that brings a smile to your face.
...
It’s the same old song and dance and you swear you’d give up your left kidney for the tune to change, for the choreography to switch up, because Tim’s on your case again and you’re getting really close to filing a request that you two don’t share the next few shifts together.
(But then Agatha would be questioning you as well and you’re sure that half the questions Tim asks are echoes of Agatha’s and she’s honestly the harder of the two to deal with. So, damnit, you’re going to have to suck it up. Deal with the kid.)
“Is this really the kind of relationship you want to have?” Tim asks, leaning against his broom for support. The café’s closed for the day and the two of you are in charge of cleaning and inventory. Agatha’s in the back, balancing the day’s earnings.
“This again, Tim?” You glare at the stain on the table your wiping, spraying it once more before scrubbing the surface harder. You’re not going to lie, you’re picturing Tim’s face, attacking your imagination instead of the person. Even if it’s tempting, oh so tempting.
“It’s just weird that he just goes off unannounced and doesn’t come back for weeks.”
“Ever heard of a business trip?” The table is shaking from your force, the surface almost like a mirror from how shiny it’s getting.
Tim scoffs. “I’ve seen your boyfriend—”
“Not my boyfriend.”
“—And I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have a nine to five office job.” Tim goes back to sweeping even though the floor is clean. He really should get the mop but he hates handling it. “Also, daddy kink? Didn’t think you were the type.”
“Oh my God. It’s not like that!” You groan, throwing your dirty rag at him. Tim yelps when it hits him on the back. Honestly, he should have seen it coming. “And we’ve talked, okay? Ages ago. He doesn’t leave without warning anymore.”
“The bar is really low.”
“Shut up, Tim.” Your phone is ringing, saving you from this conversation and punching your co-worker in the face. “Hello?” You say once you answer your phone, smiling. It’s Sam.
“Hi, princess,” Sam grunts out and you frown at his tone.
“Hi, uh, are you okay?”
Tim is looking at you now, blatantly listening in, and you turn your back to him, facing the painting on the wall. You never really understood this piece, but Agatha likes it.
“Yeah. I’m great! Just—wait a second.” You hear Sam suck in a breath and all of a sudden there’re gunshots. You jump in surprise, shoulders rising, tense, and you have to pull your phone away from your ear from the sheer volume of it. “Okay. I’m back.”
“Sam. Please tell me you’re playing a video game.”
“Huh? Yeah, sure, if that makes you feel better. Wait.” You hear the crunch of gravel, quick and quiet footsteps, and then the sound of surprise before a crack and thud. “Sorry. Anyway, so I have a problem.”
“I’m almost afraid to ask what it is.”
“It’s nothing bad. I promise,” his voice is quiet now. Like he doesn’t want anyone else to hear him. “Y’see. I told you about my job, right?”
“I mean, all you said was you were going to…I want to say Japan. You were in India last time.”
“Yeah! Beautiful country, by the way. We should go next time.” Sam says in one breath and you feel your heart skip a beat. A trip? With Sam? “If I don’t get banned from the place. Which would be a shame, really, cuz the food’s great—hang on.”
There’re gunshots again and then running. You don’t realize that you’re outside the café until a strong wind blows by. You had walked out the door when it seemed like this wasn’t going to be a normal check in. Which was almost immediately, to be frank. From the corner of your eye, you see Tim watching you, broom still in his hands, the rag on the floor by his feet. You wave him off, turning your attention back to Sam. You hear him shout “This is a goddamn temple! Show some respect!” before he gets back to you.
“Where was I?”
“What the hell is going on, Sam?”
“Nothing to worry about, princess. What there is to worry about is my fish.” Sam’s whispering again, ragged. He’s catching his breath. “Y’see. I told you where I was going but I forgot to tell my little brother and, well, someone has to feed my fish.”
“Oh.” You ignore the crunch and thud you hear from Sam’s line. You’re too busy thinking about this fish you’ve never heard of. There’s so much information to unpack right now but the fish is what you zero in on. It’s the only thing that makes sense. “Oh shit.”
“Oh shit’s right. I can’t believe I forgot Jimmy like that.”
Jimmy? “Can, can a fish live this long without food?”
“Now, princess, that’s not the kind of talk I need to hear right now.” There are sounds of movement again. Rustling now, too. Like leaves. “I need you to tell me that Jimmy’s going to be fine. That I did not just leave my fish to die alone.”
“I’ll go to him. Just, uh, I don’t have your key.” You know where he lives, you’ve been there a few times when all of this started, pre-Jimmy, but Sam was always there. You never needed to go there alone and you were never left there alone.
“You have one. I left my spare in your room. Y’know, for emergencies.”
“Were you ever going to tell me that?”
“Didn’t think I had to. It’s in plain sight, princess.” He grunts out. “Listen, I have to go, but check your dresser. It should be there. Save Jimmy!!”
Jimmy is, thankfully, miraculously, fine. His tank needs a little cleaning but you’ve fed him and made sure that there’s enough water for him to swim around in. The top of his castle was starting to peak out. When that’s all done, you send a picture to Sam. You don’t think he’ll see it anytime soon so you toss your phone away and collapse onto his couch.
You’re tired. Apparently getting Sam’s spare key wasn’t as easy as you thought because after sprinting to the bus stop and up the stairs to your apartment, stumbling into your bedroom, you did not find a key at your dresser. No.
After messing up what was once an organized table, you find a note that was clearly written by Sam stuck on your corkboard along with all your other notes written for yourself. Reminders that you needed to go through before the start of your day. Things you’ve long since memorized and never bother to read anymore. That’s Sam’s idea of an “in plain sight” note. Which is also a clue, a riddle that led you to another part of your room, then to your kitchen, underneath your couch, and then to your bedside table, the side he sleeps on. There you find the key taped under a laminated flower. It was the one you had with you when you’d first met Sam. And if Sam recognized it, and you’re pretty sure he did, well you’re glad he wasn’t around for you to find it.
Your phone rings, jolting you out of your daze. You almost fell asleep, the adrenaline gone. You reach for it, refusing to leave your spot, and manage to answer it before the caller hung up. To your surprise, it’s Sam.
“Finally figured out video call?” You say once his face appears on your screen. His holding his phone a little too close but you don’t correct him, finding it cute.
“And you found the key!” Sam says back. “Thanks for saving Jimmy, princess.”
“I read somewhere that goldfish can actually go two weeks without food.”
“Doesn’t mean he has to. C’mon. That’s my roommate.”
“I’m just saying,” You smile because even you wouldn’t want to leave a fish hungry. “Oh. Also. You and I have completely different interpretations of ‘for emergencies.’”
“Hmm? What do you mean?”
“If I left you something for emergencies, I’d like to think you’d be able to get to it immediately.” You whip the smile of your face. Exchange it with a raised brow, an unamused gaze. “Making me hunt for clues all over my apartment isn’t something I’d like to do in emergency situations.”
Sam lets out a laugh. “Ah. Well, I guess I picked up a few things from work.”
“It would have bitten you in the ass if I didn’t find that key.”
“I had faith in you, princess.”

the thin line
Warnings: sex language all that shit
authors note: this is one of those drafts I promised because why not, not edited and not my favorite
words: 3453
You flopped onto the couch. Fred, who was nursing a glass of scotch, looked up at you shocked.
“Bad date, I reckon?” He looked sympathetic, a rare trait for him.
“The absolute worse,” you groaned, moving to lean on his shoulder. “First off he was constantly talking about his exes, yes multiple, and not even twenty minutes into the date he tried to put his hands up my skirt.”
“No,” Fred mock gasped. “You wait till at least the third date to let a man publicly get you off.”
You slapped his shoulder but couldn’t hold in the laughter what he said. “What about you? Huh, Fred, correct me if I’m wrong but you're going through a dry spell yourself.”
“This isn't about me Y/N.” he glared at you. You seemed to have struck a nerve.
It was true you and Fred have no secrets between you, having lived together for the last year. In the beginning you had often met women he kept around for a week at most, at times even playing the angry girlfriend when a one off overstayed their welcome. Fred often caught you doing the walk of shame through the joke shops door after your latest night out.
“I’m sorry your date sucked, love.” he stroked your arm soothingly. “If you’d like I can draw you a bath, get you some wine.”
You nodded, It was a ritual. Failed love life, he drew you a bath and let you relax; if he had a stressful day at work you would read to him (something he didn’t enjoy doing himself, but loved listening to) while he rested his head on your thigh.
Fred walked to your bathroom running the water, before moving to the kitchen getting you a glass and bottle. “Bubbles?”
“Always,” you shouted to him.
In a few minutes time Fred was at the doorway to get you, “come on princess Bath is ready.”
You smiled, moving to twist your hair up as you walked into the bathroom. Once you were undressed and in the tub, which was filled to the brim with bubbles, Frec came back in lowering the toilet seat so he could sit and talk with you.
“How many dates is that this time around?” Fred asked, pouring a glass for you.
“Three this week,” you sighed while drinking some of the bitter liquid. “I’m I that horrible to look at? I mean not to sound vain but I have a decent face, and my tits aren't half bad either.”
Fred choked on the drink he took. “I mean-”
“Don’t answer that, let me wallow in self pity for a few hours,” you rolled your eyes kicking up some water. “Tell me, anything new happening in the shop?”
Fred talked excitedly about his newest product. The two of you sat there until your skin started to prune. You shooed him out so you could get ready for the night.
Once again you found yourself on the couch with Fred's head in your lap. You ran your fingers through his ginger hair. He made small appreciative moans that you felt lower in your body than you should have.
“We should get some sleep Fred,” you smiled down to him, before shocking him off lightly to go to your own room.
You spent a couple hours tossing and turning, Pressing your legs together to create some form of much needed friction. It had been months since you’ve slept with someone and the fact that you needed to get laid was more evident in the fact that sounds your best friend made had you hot and bothered.
It was well past midnight, Fred had to be asleep, so you gave in.
“Fuck it.”
You allowed one hand to trail to your underwear teasing yourself through the fabric. You were already wet and frustrated but you didn't want to give in just yet. You trailed your pinky finger up and down your clothed heat applying the slightest bit of pressure over your clit.
You bit your lip to muffle the goan escaping your lips, before moving to your dresser pulling out a bullet vibrator. You clicked it on the sound of the light buzz increasing your ever growing excitement. You pressed it against your navel before guiding it down past the elastic of your underwear it was centimeters away from your center, a loud moan dripped from your lips as it touched that aching bundle of nerves.
A knock at the door interrupted your high. “Y/N, you okay?”
“Yes Fred,” you clicked off the bullet, shoving it under your pillow. Just in time to see Fred peak his head through the door.
“I thought I heard something,” Fred sat on the edge of your bed. “Came to check on you, only to hear it come from your room. Are you alright?”
You refused to meet his eyes, the smirk that played on his lips told you he had some idea of what you were up to.
“I’m fine fred, thank you for your concern.” you tried to end the conversation, but you felt the mattress shift beside you as fred got comfortable.
“So Princess, what were you doing?” his voice was low in your ear, making your breath hitch.
“Nothing, Freddie,” you were breathless and he knew what he was doing. “I’m going to bed.”
You felt him pull you to his chest, his soft breaths lulling you to sleep.
The next morning you woke to Fred stirring awake, he was not a morning person so you struggled out of his grasp to the kitchen.
You put on a pot of coffee before jumping up to sit on the counter next to the machine. You sat there listening to the coffee drip, thoughts flooded with the cheeky bastard you woke up next to.
George came in through the door looking exhausted, he looked to you then to the slowly filling up pot of coffee.
“You are an angel, L/N.” George went to the covert to bring out three mugs. When it was finished he poured the dark liquid adding milk and sugar to the three mugs.
The smell of the coffee seemed to drag Fred out of bed. He walked into the kitchen groggily you picked up and offered him a mug that he took with a sleepy smile. “Morning Princess, Georgie.”
George quickly told Fred about the plans for the shop before the two men parted. Fred to get dressed, and George to their office to do paper work.
Fred came out of his room in a nice suit using his wand to do his tie as he walked towards the front door.
“See you tonight, Y/N.” he smiled at you, straightening his tie.
Being a Saturday meant you didn’t have to go into work for the weekend, you used your wand to clean up the mess you had all made before moving onto your room.
You debated upon making your bed, before moving the pillow you slept under. You were shocked to find your vibraitor not under your pillow but on the nightstand. There was one explanation you didn’t even want to think of.
You laid yourself down back onto the bed, deciding a few more hours of sleep would be best.
Fred came back after work to find you watching a tv show. He settled onto the couch.
“What are you watching?”
“Muggle tv show.” you took your eyes off the tv. “We should go out tonight.”
“Should we?” Fred kicked off his shoes, “does this have something to do with last night? Or maybe what I found under my pillow this morning?”
“Yes,” you answered plainly. “And to be fair you invited yourself into my room, what you found was your fault.”
You got up going to your room to find something to wear to a club. You found a black leather skirt and low cut tank that had lace framing your breast perfectly.
You walked out of your room to find Fred had discarded his jacket and suit vest leaving him in a pair of dark slacks, a lavender shirt and his tie.
You walked to him face to chest with him. You moved to loosen his tie and remove it, “you are still a bit too formal for clubbing. Undo the top tree buttons and roll your sleeves up.”
You instructed going to the shoe rack for your heels, before slipping them clumsily.
“Where are we going?”
“Muggle club, in London,” you put your arm through his. “A lot of uni students go there, so plenty of people our age.”
The two of you disapperated to the three broomsticks to go through to Muggle London.
You pulled Fred around till you found the place you were looking for, a place a muggle born friend of yours had shown you straight out of hogwarts.
You waited in the line of people until you were allowed in. the two of you made a B-line for the bar.
Fred ordered your drinks while you looked around the club, “tall blond, near the door. She’s checking you out.”
“You sure?” He looked in the direction you told him. “She’s pretty, might do for a night.”
He handed you your drink walking off to the direction of the blonde woman. You knew you wouldn’t see him for a while, possibly all night. You sat at a seat overlooking the dance floor, you saw a familiar flash of red hair under the neon lights as he danced jokingly with the girl you pointed out to him.
You sat back enjoying your people watching. “You look far too pretty to be sitting alone.”
You turned to see a man, he was handsome with dark curls and light eyes contrasting with the carmel color of his skin. “Something must be wrong, let me guess you were cheated on?”
“No,” you smiled at his assumptions.
“Girls night out and you are the DD,” you lifted your drink and he thought. “Heart broken?”
You tilted your head giving him a small smile, “it feels like it but i'm not sure, can someone who never had your heart break it?”
“That’s way too poetic for a girl in a trashy club,” he laughed. “Calen Collens.”
“Y/N L/N,” you offered him a hand to shake. “Would you like to dance?”
He smiled taking you to the dance floor, the movements the two of you made close and slow.
Soon his lips found your ear. “Be mine tonight, Y/N?”
That was too much, too forward. Sure she let him flit and held him close but the fact he would be so forward. “I’m going to go to the restroom.”
You ran as fast as you could in heels, you found Fred pressed against a wall with the blonde on his lips.
“I'm going home,” you walked past them out into the cold night tears threatening to fall. It was dark and Muggle London wasn’t the safest palace at night, you just had to find somewhere secluded.
There were footsteps behind you, you ducked into an alleyway hoping they would stop. They didn't. You felt a hand grab your forearm and you drew your wand.
“Merlin, it's me,” you were spun around to be face to face with Fred. his eyes softened when he saw the tears on your face, he brought a hand to wipe at them. “Princess lets get you home.”
He pressed a kiss to your forehead, bringing his own wand out taking the two of you home.
* * *
The two of you were on the couch you had put on a movie and were resting with your head on Fred’s chest. He stroked your hair, “do you want to tell me what happened?”
“I met a man, he was charming and nice. But the moment that he asked if i could be his tonight I broke.” you laughed humorlessly, “i complain about the lack of sex in my life, hell you almost caught me getting off. Yet a hot man approached me and I had a breakdown like no other, and then I ruined your chance for a bit of fun. It’s pathetic.”
“No it isn’t,” Fred sighed leaning his cheek onto your head. “You just aren’t one for casual nights.”
“It would be easier if i was,” you rolled your eyes. “I also want trust and respect, but that's a bit much I guess.”
“It really isn’t Princess,” he lifted your chin to face him. “I think that's admirable.”
Your eyes met his, his hazel ones flicking from your lips to your eyes. You brought a hand to trace his jaw line, something you’ve done many times before but felt different now.
You felt his breath first, his nose bumping yours. He was giving you time to back away, you didn’t want to.
He pressed his lips to yours, they were softer than you could imagine. You brought your hands to his neck as his hands went for your waist.
You pulled him down guiding him on top of you.
“Room?” Fred breathed into the kiss, You let out a soft hum in response.
Fred guided you up, once you were on your feet he pulled you into him, leaning down to give you a breathtaking kiss.
He pulled away slowly dragging your bottom lip between his teeth.
You let out a moan, he pulled you by the hand as he rushed to his room.
“Are you sure about this?” He was hesitant once this line was crossed it could never be forgotten.
“We can freak out tomorrow,” you pushed him onto his bed. “Right now take your clothes off.”
“Gladly,” he moved to take off his shirt. You watched appreciatively as his arms flexed.
You sat with legs on either side of his waist, your fingertips tracing the exposed skin. His lips met your neck with light nips as he tugged on your tank top. You leaned back allowing him to pull it over your head.
You shivered at the sudden exposure to the cold air, Fred stared at you in awe. His hands came to cup your breast, the rough pads of his thumbs traced your nipple teasingly.
Your breath hitched and he threw you a cheeky smirk before bringing his tongue out and flicking one.
You moaned at the contrast of the cold air and the heat of his mouth. Every movement he made every lick, nip and suck felt expertly practiced.
His hands fell back to your hips using them to push you off him and have you land with your back pushed into the mattress. He kissed down your navel before making eye contact with you.
“You are fucking perfect.” he brought a hand under the elastic of your sleep shorts, his eyes went wide in surprise. “No underwear? You princess are in trouble.”
He pulled your shorts to your knees before continuing to trail his lips down to your center. His right hand following his lips while his left kept you in place.
He lifted his head as he brought his fingers to your core, letting out a breathy chuckle when you moaned. He put two of his fingers into you. He put the two both into his mouth, he hummed smirking at your reaction.
“Okay, Fred, that- that was hot.” you let out an airy laugh completely off guard. He kissed your inner thigh, the tip of his nose teasing where you want him the most. “Freddie-”
His name shifted to a moan as he trailed his tongue to your entrance.
A mew left your lips as he worked the flat of his tongue around up and down your entrance. He stopped the movement to allow his fingers back inside you. He got a bit bolder using his teeth to lightly nip at your clit. You moved your hands into his hair back arching as he continued to allow his tongue to flick at it, letting his teeth work in sync as well.
You gripped his hair slightly with a tug. “Fuck, Princess.”
You leaned up meeting his eyes, the sight of him between your legs, his mouth a mess, his torso exposed was the most beautiful thing you had ever seen. “Are you ready? because I absolutely am.”
“Just be inside of me freddie,” you looked up at him through your eyelashes. Got up to remove his pants
The anticipation that you felt watching him stroke himself was insane. You watched him in what felt like slow motion as he pumped his cock, a look of blissful relief crossed his handsome features.
The trob between your legs felt unbearable, “hurry up Fred, please.”
“Needy thing aren't you?” he chuckled, moving his hand back to line himself up to you. When he finally entered you you moaned happy to feel him.
* * *
You woke up sore tangled in sheets that aren't yours,as the weight of the bed shifted. Fred moved to find his clothes.
“Morning, Freddie.” you rubbed the sleep out of your eyes. It wasn’t the first time you woke up in his bed but this time was extraordinarily different. You found your shorts discarded on the floor before moving to pull them on, you felt his eyes watching you. “What time is it?”
“Seven,” you turned to find him sitting in just a pair of boxers. He looked lost so you found your way back to him standing between his legs. “We’ll talk after I finish up at the shop, right?”
You moved your fingers to trace his worried face. “I’ll be right here like I always am.”
You threw on a shirt and went for the door.
“George will be suspicious if we were out at the same time, I’ll make you coffee.” you walked out going to your own room to throw on a robe.
When you put coffee grounds in the machine and clicked it on George walked through the door, pulling you in for a side hug. “If i weren’t engaged I would marry you L/N, Freddie should.’
“Angelina ban coffee again?” you laughed finding three tall mugs for all of you.
“If I didn't love her or the child that we made I would leave because of that coffee ban.” he sighed dramatically.
“You don't mean that, shut up and get the cream from the fridge,” you rolled your eyes watching the drip of the coffee finish.
Fred emerged from his own room with a sleepy grin, faker. You poured him a cup with all the fixings before handing it to him. “Morning Princess, sleep well?”
He winked at you over the brim of his cup. “No, something had me rolling around all night, nothing I can't fix.”
He laughed as George looked between the two of you, “I don't get you two.” he walked out the door down to the office.
Fred pulled you close, “ tonight?”
“tonight,” you tiptoed to kiss his nose.
He smiled with a boyish charm and walked out the door with a small hop in his step. Now was the time to overthink everything.
Was it a mistake?
Did he hate it?
Were you bad?
Would you guys ever be the same?
You went into the kitchen and pulled out Molly’s baking cards. If you were going to talk may as well have something sweet while you were at it. With the wave of your wand music filled the room from the radio. You moved your hips along with the beat. Looking through the cards you decided on her tentacle tart recipe, not finding everything you went out to the store.
You spent your day doing small things, organizing your stuff in the bathroom, doing your laundry and reading two books.
When the door to the apartment opened you jumped up from the couch. “Fred.”
“Y/N, how was your day?” you watched as your usually overly confident best friend shuffled his feet bashfully.
“Sit down Fred,” you laughed. “We don’t have to be awkward, let's be grown ups now freddie. Tentacle tart?”
He nodded letting a carefree chuckle escape him. “Please, so we had sex.”
“I'm pretty sure we were both present, what should we do now? Pretend it never happened-?
“No, I don't want to pretend it never happened.”
“Neither of us have dated any since our school days, and we live in such close quarters I don’t think casual will suit us.”
“We don’t have to label it you know, we can just be us.” Fred finally met your eye, his usual smirk finally finding his face. “Bet mum would be happy.”
“We could just let them figure it out,” you chuckled. “Ginny told me the whole family has money on us.”

(My GIF)
You FaceTimed him, but it rang out unanswered. Shrugging, you sent him a text, just asking him to call you as soon as he could. Then you shoved your phone onto the coffee table, turned your attention to the TV and continued sipping your wine.
Billy could hear his phone buzzing, and then the ting of a text arriving. But he wasn’t anywhere near his desk right at that moment.
He was currently pinned up against the glass wall in his office by Dinah Madani, who seemed to have shape-shifted into an octopus, complete with all the tentacles. She’d almost managed to wrap herself around him, pushing her body against his. He was trying to grab her hands but she kept managing to pull them out of his grip. He was starting to get angry, yelling her name and “What the fuck!” in her face, but she was totally ignoring him - it was like she’d gone feral. He was trying his best not to use his full strength against her, but he was about two seconds away from completely losing his temper.
She managed to get her mouth onto his at one point while he was busy trying to grab her hands, but he twisted his head away. His shirt was hanging half-open, mostly untucked from his trousers, tie loose and pulled askew round his neck, then he felt her hand against his stomach, fumbling for his trouser button. A moment later, she’d managed to get it undone and began pulling his zip down, trying to slip her fingers inside the top of his boxer briefs. That was it for Billy, he was seriously not into this. He bared his teeth in a snarl and grabbed her wrist, twisting it up and around quite viciously into an armlock.
Grasping her other hand, which had been inside his shirt stroking his chest, he shoved her away from him and she lost her balance, tumbling onto her ass on the floor. Billy still stood against the window, getting his breath back and his temper in check, then he walked round her and into his en-suite.
He stripped off his wrecked shirt and dumped it on the floor, grabbing an Anvil hoodie from a drawer in the unit next to the sink and pulling it on over his head. He exchanged his trousers and shoes for tracksuit bottoms and trainers, took a deep breath and walked back out into the main office.
Madani was sitting on one of the chairs, head in hands, her fingers carding through her hair. She looked up and glared at him as she heard him walk through, but didn’t say anything. Billy had something to say though.
“I can’t believe what you just did, Dinah!!! What the fuck is wrong with you? If it was the other way round, you’d slap me with a sexual harassment charge so fast I’d get a nosebleed!”
Her eyes teared up, but she blinked them back fiercely. “What is wrong with me? Ask yourself the same question! You lead me on, make me think it was going somewhere, then drop me like a hot potato the minute you meet your little coffee queen? And now you’ve humiliated me. You’re such a bastard, Russo!”
He perched on the edge of his desk, looking over at her, “I humiliated you? How? - cos I wouldn’t fuck you when you just threw yourself at me?” He folded his arms over his chest.
“And I already apologised for maybe sending mixed messages. But you also carry some of the blame, Dinah, you assumed things based on a couple of lunches and a drink one night in a bar.” “And a kiss after that drink!” she bit back at him. He scoffed, “Fuck! Are you in junior high or somethin’?” Putting on a high-pitched voice, “He kissed me, mommy, so now we’re gettin’ married!”
He continued, back to his normal voice, “You’re being ridiculous and you know it. Listen, I’ll forget this whole thing ever happened if you get your damn head back on straight and focus your attention back onto the fucking case, instead of what I got inside my trousers!”
She stood up, “Fuck you, Russo! You know what, yes! Let’s get this case closed, then I won’t have to see your sorry ass ever again!” Looking around for her bag, she grabbed it off the floor and headed to the door. Billy, meanwhile, chuckled, “Now, Dinah... you’ve never seen my ass.”
She flipped him the finger with real feeling, and left.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
Billy was driving over to her place, and he dropped her a text saying he was nearly there. He hadn’t called her back, because he wanted to tell her face-to-face about what happened earlier with Dinah. It wasn’t something you talked about on the phone. He still couldn’t quite get his head round how desperate Madani had been, clawing at his clothes and her hands and mouth all over him. Now he guessed he knew what it felt like to be treated like a piece of meat, and at least had the decency to feel some personal guilt.
It was pretty much how he’d treated women all his life, if he was being honest. He wondered if not having a mother around, someone who would’ve loved and nurtured and cared for him, had contributed to his “fuck ‘em and leave ‘em” attitude to women. Who knew?
He sighed, knowing his girl was going to be really fucked off when he told her about it, and he only hoped that - coming so soon after the lunch date thing - she believed him when he said he’d shut her down as quickly as he could. Should he stop and buy her some flowers or something? Nah. That might just make him look guilty.
As he drove, the thought came unbidden into his mind that the Dinah thing was something that Previous Billy Russo would’ve just sat back and let happen. And enjoyed it. He started quietly laughing at himself, shit... he was screwed.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
You’d just poured yourself another glass of wine when your phone chimed.
Picking it up, you saw it was a text from Billy... “Nearly at your place, angel. Any food going? ;) 😘”
You laughed, he really was a cheeky big devil. But, nah, no home cooking tonight Russo, you thought, I’m too frazzled after today. So you grabbed a menu from your local Thai and called them with an order of two portions of green curry, fragrant rice and some sides to be delivered in about twenty minutes.
Opening the door to Billy a few minutes later, you grabbed him into a bear hug and just rested your head on his chest. Not that he wasn’t enjoying it, but Billy knew this wasn’t ‘you’. You’d told him you didn’t ever want to be seen as ‘too clingy’ with your men. He’d told you at the time that you could cling to any part of his body you wanted to, for as long as you wanted to.
Taking hold of your arms, he gently moved you back so he could see you properly, “Hey, hey... you OK, angel?” You gulped a bit and nodded, then headed away to get a wine glass for him. Now he was here, you actually felt quite weepy, but you weren’t about to start blubbering like a big adult baby in front of him.
Billy closed your apartment door behind him, and followed you to the kitchen area. You saw him looking past you at the cooker and you laughed, instantly cheered up. “Sorry, Billy. No food, couldn’t be bothered.” His ‘disappointed puppy’ face was something to see. You poured him some wine, “Don’t worry darling, some Thai is on its way to us, should be here in about 15.” “Thank fuck for that, sweetheart, I’m absolutely starvin’!” he smiled down at you. Handing him the glass, you moved back to the sofa, collapsing onto it with a sigh.
Billy joined you, putting his glass on the coffee table and reaching down to take his trainers and socks off. He swung his legs up and his bare feet landed in your lap. You started tugging at his toes a little, and he picked his wine glass back up and took a sip. “Mmhm, that is a good red wine. And that,” he wiggled his toes against your fingers as you stroked them, “...is heavenly.” “It’s all the nerve endings. There’s so many of them in your feet.” He nodded, smirking, “But not as many as in another part of me.”
You laughed, untangling your fingers from his toes and reaching over to run them through his hair, “Food first, tiger.” He laid his hand over yours as you rested it on the back of his neck, sighing, “Yeah, okayyy... I won’t argue with you about it this time.”
Your buzzer sounded just then, and you collected the food from the delivery guy, then took it all over to the coffee table. Picking up cutlery and napkins from the kitchen, you and Billy proceeded to demolish the delicious Thai meal and then both collapsed back against the sofa. “That was...” Billy groaned and stretched, “...wonderful.” He reached for you, pulling you against him, kissing you lazily, softly. “Mmm. You know you didn’t kiss me when I got here? But I’ll let you off,” he smiled at you, but the smile faded almost immediately . He suddenly sat up, as if he was going to make a break for the door.
You felt a bit spooked by this - you’d just decided that second you were going to tell him about your ‘stalker’ - and it was almost as if he’d guessed you had something uncomfortable to say.
Looking across at him, you cleared your throat, feeling nervous for some reason. You noticed Billy had the same nervous look on his face you were sure you had on yours.
“Billy...” he was staring at you, “Madani came to the café today. Twice in fact.” His mouth dropped. You carried on quickly, “The first time she just had a coffee and left. In fact I wasn’t even 100% sure it was her. It was though, she came back later under the pretence of interviewing me to find out how us knowing each other would ‘impact’ her case.” You reached over and took his hand, he was still staring at you, amazed look on his face. “Then she just couldn’t help herself, she told me you two were seeing each other - dating, she said!”
He was shaking his head, “Nuh-uh, no! We were never....” You interrupted him, “I know. Look, Billy, I set her straight. Told her that was before you met me, and... and all that stuff with her was in the past.” A small grin appeared on his face, and you continued, “I hope I wasn’t out of line saying that.” He stroked your hand, “You definitely weren’t.” “But I didn’t tell her why you’d been... so friendly... with her. She wasn’t happy, Billy, like really not happy. Stormed off without saying another word.”
Billy was nodding to himself, “All makes sense now.” He looked over at you, eyes wide, “Got a visit from her too, must’ve been after she’d been to see you.” He took a deep breath, “Look, you’re not gonna like this, but please just hear me out.”
Your stomach dropped, you really didn’t like where this was heading. What had that crazy woman got up to with Billy?
“She came to Anvil, and... and, well she basically jumped me. Just walked in, didn’t say a word, tryin’ to get my clothes off, hands everywhere. I tried to grab her hands but didn’t wanna go over the top.” You were still holding hands, and he intertwined his fingers with yours, gazing deep into your eyes. “She went for my zip and that was it, got her in an armlock and threw her off me. She fell over on her ass.”
He was surprised when you burst out laughing. That was a much better reaction than he’d been expecting. “Oh I’d’ve paid good money to see that,” you said, trying to catch your breath, “Billy, I think she’s lost it. Gone a bit nuts with jealousy over you. Your male ego must be totally preening right now.” He smirked, but then got serious again. “No, actually it’s not... it’s just made me feel guilty. About how I had a “one and done” approach with women up till now. Got a dose of my own medicine, angel.”
“Treating people like sex objects, you mean? I’m sure most of us have done that at some point. Maybe you more than most,” you shrugged. “But have you turned over a new leaf, Billy Russo?” you asked, hand going to his bristly cheek. He nodded slowly, “ Yes I have, ma’am. Ever since I met you,” leaning in and kissing you. Your arms went round his neck, and you kissed him back hard. He whispered, “I was really afraid to tell you about it. Thought you wouldn’t believe me.”
You whispered back, “I don’t really know why, but I trust you, Billy. Don’t make me regret it.” “I promise you I won’t.”
You slid your hands under the hem of his hoodie, “Moving right along, Russo... I hope you don’t mind if I treat you like a sex object for the rest of the night.” His eyes twinkled at you as he said, “Oh, well, gee I might need to get my union rep involved.”
You slid your hands further up his chest, and reached up to kiss that sensual mouth of his. Then you sat up and took your bra off from under your t-shirt, dropping it on the floor before climbing onto him. You shimmied your leggings down your thighs slightly, and rubbed your body along his. Bill’s eyes were as wide as the moon, watching to see what you were going to do to him.
One of your hands went to the waistband of his tracksuit but then you paused, “Dyou want me to stop, Billy?” Despite your earlier joke, you were aware that Madani had just invaded his personal space and not in a good way. His dark chocolate eyes were gazing into yours, and shaking his head he stuttered, “N-no.”
So your hand continued its journey southward underneath his boxer briefs, and soon it was happily wrapped around his velvety length. He gave a deep groan, one hand going to your hip, the other to your clit. You really weren’t in the mood for foreplay. After the events of the day you just wanted to feel Billy inside you, making you feel good and driving away any remaining thoughts or insecurities you might have about Madani.
The fact that you both still had your clothes on was exciting you as it made it seem like you two were having an illicit encounter. You pushed Billy’s tracksuit and briefs down to mid-thigh, revealing him in all his glory. Knowing you were more than ready for him, you gave him a couple of firm strokes and then guided his cock between your legs and put his tip straight inside you.
Billy gave a surprised gasp, but then thrust up into you as you rode him. “Uhh...” he groaned, then managed to say, “...no condom.” “Fuck it,” you whispered back, “...it’s fine, don’t worry.” You loved the view you had of him, hair in disarray where you’d been running one hand through it and those dark eyes of his on you, always on you. You felt him deep inside you and clenched around him, making his eyes close in pleasure and a long low groan escape his lips. His hand gripped your hip, his other hand massaging your breast and palming your nipple, making you gasp.
You stepped up your pace, riding him like you were about to ride off into the sunset. He was making a lot of noise you noticed, crying out and groaning, almost whimpering, so you leant over and whispered “Puppy” into his ear. As expected he laughed but then smacked your behind, quite hard, making you yell “Ow!!!” You gripped him extra firmly in retaliation and he howled, “Okay, okay, I surrender! I can’t last much longer anyhow....” and he did come shortly after that, huffing out a big breath, fingers digging into your hips and his own thrusting up to meet yours. He then made sure you climaxed, staying inside you, stroking your pussy before moving his thumb to your clit and pleasuring you until you came.
You lay in each other’s arms, in that post-sex blissful state. Billy’s nose was buried in your hair as it lay against your shoulder, and you could feel him rubbing it back and forward, tangling up in your hair and gliding across your skin too.
You heard a massive sigh, his chest rising and falling. “Billy?” you murmured, “You OK?” He sat up a bit and propped his head up on his elbow, gazing at you. He gave a quiet laugh, “No, I’m not. In fact, I’m really fucked.” You sat up too. “Well, yes so am I, if you recall!” you laughed. Reaching out, you stroked the hair on his chest, between his pecs.
“But, seriously, what d’you mean, Billy?”
His eyes looked huge as he gazed at you, “I, uh... think I’ve fallen in love with you.” He stroked your cheek, “And it scares the shit out of me.”

Waking Up Alone
This is for my anon who requested something angsty and fluffy with El Phantasmo- hope you enjoy! The idea is partially inspired by the Cowboy Junkies song "Sun comes up, it's Tuesday morning". (I am the queen of sad lady songs, I swear.)
Pairing: El Phantasmo x OFC
Word count: 3.091
Content advisory: language, sexual references
Sun comes up, it’s Tuesday morning
Hits me straight in the eye
Guess you forgot to close the blind last night
Oh that’s right, I forgot, it was me
The morning sun feels like an assault on your eyes, punching its way through your delicate eyelids and right through into your nerves. Yeah, you definitely had a few too many drinks last night. Gin and tonic with the girls, which you hadn’t done in ages. It ended up with pitchers at the dive you’d been frequenting since you were too young to get into bars, the place that truly catered to everyone. Beer after liquor, never sicker; liquor before beer, in the clear. Why the hell had you switched from liquor to beer?
Doesn’t matter now, you think, wrestling yourself into a sitting position while protecting your eyes with a trembling hand. Wrestling yourself. You sigh a little as you consider the term that immediately springs to mind. You didn’t mention the breakup to the girls. It still feels too strange, too ephemeral. Were you ever really a couple anyway? You suppose that’s the crux of the problem. You didn’t know where you stood, so you’d estimated that you were somewhere it turned out you weren’t close to.
If Riley The Perfidious Bastard were around, he would have made sure to lower the Roman shade you’d fashioned out of an old curtain and some bamboo rods. He was always impressed at your ability to create homey touches from spare parts. Now that he’s not around, you realize how much you’d liked having your abilities praised.
If Riley were here, you’d also be waking up to the smell of coffee, the most wonderful thing in the world for someone in your condition. But there’s nothing. No rich, roasted scent, no happy, burbling noises from the machine in the kitchen. You have to get up and take care of it yourself, which you haven’t had to do in a long time. Goddammit.
You run one hand over the expanse of your king bed, the plump mattress extending almost all the way to the window. Sure, the thing took up most of the room but you didn’t care. The room was only going to be used for sleep anyway. Well, sleep and that other, delicious thing. That thing you missed so much. Well, you missed it the way that Riley had done it. If he was really gone, you were going to have a hell of a time finding someone who could make you want to spend all day in bed the way he had. You still hadn’t made your way back to the center of the bed. Somehow, your mind refused to accept that things were over. You were still making space for him.
With a dramatic effort that has no one to appreciate it, you heave yourself off the bed and make your way towards the kitchen. You’re halfway through the process of making coffee when you realize that you’re wearing one of his shirts, one of the ones with his logo emblazoned on it. You must have just reached for the first thing you could find when you got home and, of course, that would be something from the pile of shirts you’d made next to the bedroom door; shirts to be given to charity because you sure as hell didn’t want to look at them anymore. That pile had been sitting there for three weeks, the dried traces of angry tears still on every part of it, and you hadn’t gotten around to carrying everything to the donation bin less than a block away.
Coffee is more important than anything right now, so you focus on that. You also shove a couple of pieces of bread in the toaster oven. Bread and peanut butter will help ease the seething broth in your gut and allow you to concentrate on the day. Which would be even more useful if your day actually required concentration. Band practice had been pushed back to tomorrow because Kyle and Lily were off in the country visiting her parents. Sure, you could work on the guitar parts by yourself, but it’s not like there was anything to learn. You had a handful of gigs coming up in the next few weeks, mostly local, all focused on your last album. Practice was just a matter of making sure you all kept tight and maybe came up with some new ways to make the live experience a little different for people.
As autumn shifted closer to winter, it was always the quiet season. Students were running short on money, the weather became unpredictable, and going on the road became less and less lucrative the closer it got to the holidays. It was approaching that time of year when people started to nest rather than seek a mate. Or at least that’s how it was for most people. It just wasn’t that way for wrestlers dividing their time between North America and Japan. You cringe at how that thought makes you recall the fights you’d had in the last few days of your whatever the hell it was because apparently it wasn’t a relationship.
It’s a very different feeling than at the beginning of spring, when everything was starting to pick up, when you constantly felt excited about what the immediate future held, and when you’d agreed to go to a wrestling show because Nadia was doing makeup for it. You and Wendy had shown up already drunk and had taken advantage of Nadia’s invitation to come backstage.
You’d stolen beer from kraft services and watched Nadia attending to her work while you tried to distract her by making her laugh. You’d been surprisingly successful but she was such a pro that she had no problems. The women took the longest for her to do, but all the performers had to come in to make sure that they’re coloring and contouring was perfect for tv lighting and that was how you’d met him.
The two of you had locked eyes as soon as he came in the room and had remained that way as he settled into Nadia’s chair. You hadn’t been able to tear yourself away from those huge, shiny orbs with their saucy expression and despite your inebriated state, you could feel that stare lodging itself in your memory forever.
“This is El Phantasmo,” she giggled.
“He’s a what now?” you’d snorted in response, relishing the flare of indignation in his eyes.
“Are we letting just anyone back here now?” he snapped.
“These are my friends!” Nadia assured him, slurring her speech as she motioned to you and Wendy. You’d been feeding her the beer you’d purloined as well.
“Like I said. We’re letting just anyone in.”
At that, you’d given his seat a shove with your foot, despite the fact that Nadia had started to apply bronzer to his cheeks. He was left with a dark streak across one side of his face and nose, which had made you and Wendy crack up.
“Come on,” Nadia chided, “I need to make these guys look good.”
“Good luck with that,” you laughed.
The man you knew only as El Phantasmo flipped you off and you’d returned the gesture, swiveling on your seat a little so that your hips were thrust forward. It wasn’t that he was the most gorgeous thing you’d ever seen, far from it. But something about him just got to you. He had such an effect on you that even as you were mocking him, you let your body move and pose in ways that were intended to resonate with his basest masculine instincts.
You’d been captivated by the show, particularly by his display of athleticism, as well as his bratty defiance to what the audience wanted. You’d booed him with everything you had and you’d been so drawn to him that you’d had to restrain yourself from running to the ring and grabbing his pert ass right there.
Instead, you’d made your way backstage again and insinuated yourself into the group that was going for drinks. You insisted that Nadia come along because Wendy had headed home as soon as the show was over. You wanted someone to hang out with so that it wasn’t totally obvious what and who you were there for. It didn’t really matter, though, because everyone was so friendly and most were so drunk that they didn’t care that they had no idea who you were.
You’d kept an eye on him for a while and then approached the bar when you saw him going for a refill, elbowing your way in so that you were right next to him, bumping his shoulder hard as you got to the bar.
“You wanna buy me a drink?” you crooned.
“No.”
“Fine, I’ll buy you one.”
“Does that mean I have to hang out with you?”
“Yup. Besides, you know you want to.”
“I really don’t.”
He was laughing a little when you said it, and when you leaned over to scream your order at the bartender, ordering him a random drink since you hadn’t even bothered asking, he ran his hand down your back and gave your ass a quick slap. You’d smirked to yourself. You knew you’d seen the spark in his eyes.
“Riley,” he shouted right into your ear.
“Deaf now,” you shot back, pushing his drink at him. “You’re skinny for a wrestler.”
“Don’t need to bulk up when you’re as good as I am.”
“Anything else you’re good at?”
“Fucking women with big mouths until they can’t say anything but my name.”
The two of you had spent the night all over his apartment and, yeah, he’d lived up to his own hype. The sex had been outright feral, biting and clawing and animal-like noises until you were both too exhausted to move.
You thought about dropping a hint that you wanted to sleep there but since it was kind of obvious that this was a one-night thing, you’d waited a while then pulled your clothes back on to go. The two of you shared a surprisingly tender kiss at the door and when you made to leave, he’d looked surprised.
“You don’t want to exchange numbers or something?” He’d sounded legitimately surprised.
“Sure.”
You’d entered each other into your phones and you went home in a cab, reflecting that you did feel more of a connection than you’d realized at first.
Still, you held off calling him so as not to look desperate, but he’d called you a couple of days later. Not knowing what else to do, and not wanting to admit you were broke until your next royalty check cleared, you’d invited him over for dinner. The two of you had cooked some pasta together and drank a couple of bottles of wine and then tore into each other again, gradually making your way to your bed. Once again, it had been mind-blowing, but the real surprise came at the end of the night.
“Mind if I stay here?” he asked quietly.
You’d patted the pillows beside you and grinned. You’d drifted off thinking that, yes, this was something a little special and you’d woken up thinking the same thing.
Craving the crisp air on your reddened cheeks, you grab a sweater, jeans and boots and that wonderful alpaca poncho you’d found when you and Riley went to that farmer’s market. It was a weird thing to find in a place that was supposed to be all about food but it didn’t matter because it was soft and full of deep colours and even though it had been hotter than hell outside, you knew that you were going to get plenty of use from it once the weather turned colder. At the time, you thought that you’d still be going for walks and dinner and drinks with Riley.
As you get ready, your phone buzzes. Wendy sending you a message.
“Never let me do that again.”
You chuckle, remembering that however bad you got last night, she was the one who ended up trying to dance on the bar, refusing to acknowledge that she couldn’t climb up on it. You’ll all have a good laugh about it later but right now, you can’t deal with it. And the reason you can’t deal with it is because for a second, you’d hoped that it was him texting you.
Your body immediately knows where it wants to go, turning the first corner and heading for the hipster diner you eat from too often. They make a mean breakfast burrito but today, you limit yourself to one of those extra buttery croissants you love so much.
Joanne is working the counter, which is kind of remarkable since you remember running into her late into the night, but although her face is flushed the same as you, she’s smiling warmly at every customer.
“Hey there, lady,” she chuckles. “Still walking?”
“Barely. May I please have coffee and a croissant? And may I ask why Peter isn’t working this morning?”
She prepares your order, grinning. “Well he had some of the guys over to watch the game last night and it turns out he’s in worse shape than I am.”
“The bastard.”
“He was totally unconscious this morning. I hope he’s not dead because being a widow would suck.”
Everyone is in a relationship. Everyone you know is in love. It hurts a lot to think that one of those things is still true of you.
Things had gone to shit over an instagram post of all things. Him during a trip back to Japan, posing with a woman who looked straight out of a modelling agency. Immediately, you’d felt in your gut that something was off and although you hadn’t wanted to seem like you were scrutinizing his every movement, you’d been unable to hold back.
“Is something going on with you and that girl in the pictures with you?”
“Going on?” He’d seemed puzzled. “I mean, we hook up when I’m in Japan. No big deal.”
That’s where he had been wrong. It was a very big deal for you. The two of you hadn’t talked about your status but you realized that you had been assuming that because you’d been wrapped up in the romance of it all that he was too. Apparently not.
It had led to a huge fight, then another resentful exchange, and then he was back in Japan for a week. You hadn’t messaged him at all while he was gone. He didn’t contact you when he got back. You’d come home one day to find your spare set of keys in an envelope in your mailbox. No note, nothing. No request to get his set back from you. Giving someone a spare set of keys was supposed to mean something. How many women had keys to his place?
You ponder it glumly for the umpteenth time as you make your way back to the home that always feels strangely empty to you now. You’d been in the place for five years. He’d been coming around for five months and somehow it feels like he belonged there. You see a figure sitting on the front step of one of the buildings and for a second, you think it’s him, waiting for you to get home, like he used to before he had keys and could go in and surprise you with dinner, or flowers, or-
Then you realize that it actually is him, sitting on your step, drinking a beer and staring off into space. He doesn’t even look up when you come to a halt next to him.
“Dude, it’s nine in the morning. Are you starting early or finishing late?”
He shrugs without looking at you and after a long moment of silence, you sit down next to him. You tear the croissant in half and silently offer it to him but he shakes his head.
“For the love of god, eat something.”
He shakes his head again.
“Fine, become an alcoholic and drink yourself to death for all I care.” You bite into the delicious pastry, humming in satisfaction and finally he reaches over and takes the other half from you.
“Good boy.”
“Here’s the thing,” he says quietly. “I thought that since you’d never said anything, it meant that you had other guys in your life. All the guys I work with either lie to their wines and girlfriends or they just have these open things going on and I guess after a while it starts to seem like that’s the normal thing to do.”
“Well I never said that I was opposed to that. I never said that we couldn’t work something out. But you didn’t even give me the chance. You just carried on as if I didn’t even exist.”
“I didn’t, though.” For the first time, he turns to look at you. His eyes are red and swollen and something tells you that it isn’t from drinking. “I said that I’d hooked up with that girl and I had. In the past. Nothing happened when I was there last time.”
“Then why did you let me believe that something had?”
“I have no fucking idea. And that’s been killing me.”
With a heavy sigh, you reach out and place your hand on his. He immediately grabs hold.
“I think,” he says pensively, “that I felt nervous about telling you I was serious about you. I was nervous because I haven’t felt this serious about someone before. And when you got angry, I think I just flipped out and thought it meant that I was wrong.”
“Wrong for having feelings?”
“Wrong for thinking you did too.”
Your stomach flips and you tighten your hold on his hand.
“Well I did.”
He nods and stares off, his face twitching a little like he’s trying to keep from crying.
“I still do,” you tell him.
He turns and stares at you, big eyes surprised and hopeful.
“Really? Because I’m an asshole.”
“Yeah,” you mutter, “I know.”
“I miss you,” he whispers.
“Why don’t you come in and have a cup of coffee?”
“Only if I can make it,” he grins. “You always put too much in.”
“Asshole,” you grunt, standing up and pulling him with you.
As you unlock the door, he leans in and plants a warm kiss on your cheek.
“Thanks,” he murmurs.
The two of you enter your flat, hand in hand again.

Affair To Remember (1)
Pairing: Jackson Wang x Reader / Byun Baekhyun x Reader
Genre: Idol! AU
Warning: Just Smut (for now)
Word Count: 2k
"...You may now kiss the bride." The priest smiles. Jackson pulls you into him before dipping you slightly to plant a kiss on your tender, plump lips. A blush spreads across your cheeks as the guests cheer for your love.
A love you wish you truly had. Not a love that was forced for the cameras.
You and Jackson had initially begun dating for the buzz, so you could get people to talk about you and him, to make sure they were talking about your newest upcoming TV series and his music, and the group he was in, expanding both of your fan bases if you will.
And that's exactly what it did, but it also went further than that. People fell in love with your love. The way Jackson looked at you was what women and girls yearned for, the way he treated you in public was what they gossiped to their friends about. The way he protected you, always watching to make sure you were safe had all the girls falling all over him, fantasizing about him.
While you didn't need to do much, you had a solid male fan base but since being with Jackson your female base increased quite a bit, which is what you needed. You needed to be a role model, a positive woman that young girls could look up too. At least that's what your manager and publicist wanted, but not you. You wanted real love.
You wanted to live your life your way, being happy but then another part of you gets a twisted pleasure from pleasing other people, making everyone around you happy even if you're not. Which is why you sat in the kitchen of your shared home with Jackson, drinking your fifth glass of wine.
Quite often you avoided going to bed with Jackson. Mainly you just felt overly guilty for staying with him because you weren't in this relationship completely, so you stayed up, avoiding the guilt while you laid beside him, but also, you preferred going to bed in slience, where he enjoyed talking and cuddling, especially after sex, whenever he was in the mood.
It had now been two years of this marriage and you had hoped by now you would be madly in love with him, regretting ever thinking this wouldn't work. But you sat there knowing this would be the greatest regret of your life and you couldn't do anything about it. You couldn't leave him, you'd end up being the most hated woman, the woman who destroyed the perfect marriage, with the perfect man.
At least from what they saw he was perfect, from what you saw he was far from it. He often took his frustrations out on you, yelling at you until the veins in his neck popped out, and his face became red, pieces of spit flying from his mouth while you sat there with your head down wondering why you put up with this. He never put his hands on you, just yelled, not that it made it much better. You knew he was stressed out, but that's no excuse.
And then you get that woman, the one who approaches you while you're walking down the street and she tells you how inspirational your relationship is and how she can't wait to find a man just like that. A love just like yours. And you remember, you give hope to these women that a relationship like that is possible but at what cost? You're lying to her, not fully but enough. You're lying to everyone. Marriage, It's not perfect but really what marriage is?
You were confused. Should you continue to live unhappily for the happiness of thousands, or make thousands sad for your own happiness. There's no way you can win.
“Are you coming to bed?” Jackon asks, peeking around the corner into the kitchen,
“Yeah” You smile, finishing the rest of your wine before leaving your glass empty on the table, following Jackson to the bedroom.
“You're so distant lately.” He yawns, crawling into bed with you before pulling you close.
"A lot on my mind." You whisper, snuggling into him. You cared for Jackson, you did but you didn't love him like you were supposed too and you couldn't force that. However, when it came time to fuck, you were always ready for that, hoping this time would be better than the last, craving that good orgasm. You found Jackson extremely attractive, his face, and his body. He was exactly your type for a fuck buddy, so thats what you referred to him as, in your own mind of course. There was only one problem with the sex you had with Jackson.
He was selfish.
"I can help with that." He groans, tilting your head up towards his, leaning down to press his lips to yours.
Jackson is quick, usually not wanting to waste time. He continues to deepen the kiss, pulling your body on top of his. He tugs at the bottom of your shirt, telling you to take it off. You break the kiss, sitting up on top of him to tug off your shirt. Your breasts perk up as the cold air hits them, hardening your nipples. Jackson cups your breast leaning forward to bring it to his mouth, wrapping it around your nipple, sucking hard. You throw your head back, grinding yourself on his hardening cock.
“Please” you cry, rubbing your pussy over him.
Jackson sits up, turning you over so he's now hovering over you. He hooks his fingers unto your panties, dragging them down your legs, tossing them somewhere in your shared bedroom before taking off his own boxers.
He maintains eye contact as he lines himself up with your wet, throbbing pussy, sliding his cock inside, stretching you out. He picks up his pace awfully quickly, thrusting in and out of you, needing to find his own release, not worrying about yours.
You place your fingers between your legs, rubbing your clit, desperately seeking your own high before him but that's never the case.
"It's a quick one." He grunts, pulling himself out of you, pumping his cock until he cums all over your stomach, sighing in relief while you lay there disappointed, again while he grabs his cum towel to clean you off.
Jackson gives you a small peck, and a half smile before he rolls over, satisfied enough to go to bed while you lay there still horny.
**
Over the next few weeks Jackson's schedule became increasingly more busy, having more things packed into his day now that a comeback was around the corner, which left you at home, alone far too often.
The production for your newest show had been put on hold due to your costar becoming sick with something that was putting him out of work for longer than a month, leaving you projectless and acting like a bored housewife.
Sure, you had friends but most of them were already busy living their own happy lives, either working or being actually happy in their marriages. You haven't told anyone your thoughts before because no one would understand. Everyone would judge you but until they lived in your shoes, they had no idea what it was like to live your life.
**
"Are you sure you're okay?" Jackson asks one of the rare nights that he was actually home. "You seem upset." He says.
You were honestly surprised he even noticed.
"I guess I'm just bored." You say, shrugging your shoulders. "With 'Affair To Remember' on hold, I don't have anything to do." You sigh.
"Well this might put you in a happy mood." Jackson smiles, sliding two tickets across the table.
"Whats this?" you ask, picking it up..
"The annual kpop party." Jackson laughs. Last year you had been unable to go and now you finally had time. "Would you be my date?" He asks.
"Of course!" You smile, getting up to give him a big hug.
You couldn't wait.
This party was the party of the year. All the major kpop groups went and mingled, drank and just all around had an amazing time. Now you finally got to go.
**
It was 7pm, the night of the party and you were finishing up a few last minute touches to your look before you and Jackson left. You put on your earring and your necklace before checking yourself out in the mirror.
You looked amazing. You had on a tight, form fitting black dress with a long slit up your thigh, paired with a bright pair of red pumps, with a smokey eye and red lips.
You slowly and gracefully made your way down the stairs, being greeted by Jackson who had a large smile on his face.
"You look beautiful." He smiles, holding out an arm for you.
You take it, heading out the front door where paparazzi and your car are waiting for you.
**
Arriving at the party, Jackson abandons you almost immediately after arriving, telling you he had to go say hello to a few people. You managed to find the bar, ordering yourself a wine, filled to the top while you scanned the room. Most of the attendees you only knew of, there were a few you were friends with.
Your eyes happened to land on one man in particular. Byun Baekhyun. The man you'd let do anything to you if you could. The man you dream about when Jackson fucks you. You just know he would fuck you right.
The rest of Got7 came to you to keep you company for a bit, Bambam hyping you up as usual.
An hour later, Jinyoung scanned the room only to look at you with a sad face, mouthing an apology. You look over to where he was and you see Jackson with his hand around a girl's waist, leaning in close to her. You acted like it fazed you a bit; but it really didn't. You knew je loved you too much to actually do anything. You continued staring, looking hurt until Jackson noticed you and then it was time for a bit of a show.
You wipe away a pretend tear, keeping up appearances of a hurt wife, you storm up the stairs, running towards the bathrooms while Jackson chases you, grabbing onto your wrist.
"We were talking." He growls into your ear.
"Looked like more than that." You snap, yanking your wrist away.
"Ayn! Don't make a scene." He snaps.
"Too late." You cry, running away from him. You were a great actress. Even Jackson believed you were mad. But in reality, you were playing a part.
**
"Quite the show." You hear from behind you as you leave the bathroom.
"Ah yes, well you know. Marriage." You say, turning around to see Byun Baekhyun of EXO.
"You mean a fake marriage?" He asks.
"What?" You ask, shocked. No one had ever figured it out before.
"The way you were eyeing me up earlier. You looked like you wanted to jump me right there. I can't imagine a real happy marriage would be like that." He says.
"You saw that?" You ask, horrified.
Baekhyun walks closer to you.
"I did. And I liked it." He whispered into your ear, pressing his body against your before walking away.
Your stomach dropped as your panties soaked, the image of Baekhyun saying that to you running through your head.
With a smile you walk back downstairs, an apologetic Jackson waiting for you. He asks you to dance, pulling you in closely. You should be into it, you should close your eyes at the feeling of his embrace but instead your eyes are locked with Baekhyun's who bites his lip before looking down. Your eyes follow, stopping at the bulge in his pants as he looks at you again, winking. You should stay away from him, you knew that but suddenly a spark was put back in your life and it wasn't from your husband.

I believe in second chances - part seven
teasing friends and wedding dates
hi, it’s been a minute. life got crazy busy and I had major writers block. if you need a refresher on what happened previously, go check out my master list
—Part 7—
“Wow, you clean up nicely,” Meredith teased as she walked into the attendings lounge to find Alex getting ready for the wedding.
“He’s taking Wilson with him to Bailey’s wedding,” Jackson shot a sly smile over their way. “That’s why he keeps fiddling with his tie.”
“Shut up,” Alex grumbled as he straightened his tie for the fifth time.
“Aww he’s nervous,” April laughed as she fastened her earrings. “How sweet. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you this flustered, Karev.”
“I’m not nervous,” Alex furrowed his brow and smoothed down his jacket. “I just want to look nice. Is that so bad?”
“Oh, he’s totally nervous,” Cristina snickered. “Twenty bucks says he makes a fool out of himself tonight.”
“Nah, I think he’s gonna get laid tonight,” Jackson’s lips curved up into a grin.
“Will you guys shut up already?” Alex huffed, annoyed at their constant meddling. “We’re going as friends. I already told you guys. I’m not rushing anything, I’m not pushing anything. And my goal isn’t to get into her pants.”
“I hate this mature, sappy side of you,” Cristina scowled in disgust. “You’re no fun anymore. What happened to filthy, diseased, manwhore Alex?”
“He fell in love,” Alex replied simply, gaining a slew of raised eyebrows and surprised looks from his friends.
“Woah he actually said it. He admitted that he’s in love with her,” April’s jaw dropped.
“Pay up, Avery,” Cristina extended her hand. “I told you he was gonna say it.”
“You guys suck,” Alex glared at them and stood up from the chair and walked towards the door. “I’m leaving. I’ll see you guys at the wedding.”
Alex walked out of the attendings lounge and over to the intern locker room, palms sweating. He didn’t know why he was so nervous. It wasn’t as if he and Jo hadn’t spent alone time together. They’d gone out to the bar and for pizza after work multiple times. This wasn’t anything they hadn’t done previously. Even in the before, when Jo and Alex weren’t nearly as close as they were now, the concept of the two of them going out alone wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. But for some reason, Alex couldn’t slow the hammering of his heart as he approached the locker room.
Straightening his tie one more time and clearing his throat, Alex walked into the room. He felt his breath hitch in his throat as Jo walked out of the bathroom and mooted out her dress. Jo’s eyes widened as she saw Alex waiting in the doorway, dressed up in suit and tie, fidgeting nervously.
She blushed lightly when she noticed his staring, “You clean up nicely.”
“Thanks,” Alex smiled bashfully. “You… you look beautiful.”
“Thank you,” Jo’s cheeks flushed at the compliment.
They stood there awkwardly for a second before Alex shook himself from his thoughts and spoke, “You ready to go?”
“Uh, yeah. I’m ready,” Jo answered and grabbed her purse, walking out the door Alex held open. “So… Bailey’s actually getting married today.”
“Yup,” Alex nodded.
“Guess that means the interns should stop calling her booty-call Bailey. Since she’s going to be a married woman and all,” Jo chuckled slightly.
Alex let out a snort. He’d forgotten about the nickname the interns had given Bailey his first year as a fellow, “Yeah… might be a good idea.”
*****
“Dude go talk to her,” Jackson urged Alex. “She’s been sitting at the bar alone for the last twenty minutes. You need to go over there before one of the groomsmen tries to pick her up and take her home tonight.
Alex shot Jackson a glare, “Shut up, no one is going to take her home tonight except me.” His eyes widened when realized how that sentence sounded. “I mean… I’m going to, I just… I’m trying to figure out what I’m going to say.”
“I don’t think I’m ever going to get used to seeing you like this,” April took another sip of her wine. “Just have a conversation with her like a normal human being. Jackson is right. You can’t sit here forever.”
“I know that,” Alex groaned when April and Jackson’s pagers went off.
“Well, it looks like you’re going to have to go talk to her now because we are leaving,” Jackson smirked and held out his hand for April to follow him.
“Good luck Romeo,” April waved as she and Jackson walked away.
Alex exhaled and made his way over to the bar where Jo was sulking. Burying his hands in his pockets and plastering a nervous smile on his face, he motioned for the bartender, “Beer for me and another round for Hobo Jo. Let me guess… Thunderbird? Or is it straight paint thinner?” He grinned at the bartender. “You got a little brown paper bag you can put that in?”
“Stop that,” Jo rolled her eyes as a smile creeped its way onto her face. “I had no parents. I lived in my car. But you can’t exactly say you’re any better, “Mr. I went to juvie.’”
“Shut up,” Alex laughed. “At least you didn’t have to see your schizo mom go after your baby brother with a steak knife. Which reminds me - I should call and check on them. It’s been a while.”
“Yeah, that might be a good idea,” Jo hummed. She looked down at the drink in her hand. “Where did Kepner and Avery go? I thought you were talking with them at the table.”
“They got paged for a trauma,” Alex answered.
“Do we have to go?” Jo stood up from the chair. “Let’s go.”
“Oh no,” Alex guided Jo back to her seat. “You don’t get to practice medicine with booze in your system. Besides, you’re on peds and we’re not needed.”
“But I wanted to get in on a cool trauma surgery,” Jo pouted.
“If you keep drinking like that, you’ll be the trauma case,” Alex quipped, eliciting a playful glare from Jo. “After this, no more paint thinner. I’ll buy you a couple beers, though. I know your limit on those.”
“Kill joy,” Jo responded and ordered a round of tequila shots, leaving Alex to stare in disbelief. “Oh come on, do at least one round of shots with me. I’m much more fun to be around when I’m drunk anyway.”
“Call me crazy, but I prefer you sober,” Alex pushed the shot glasses the bartender had placed in front of them away from Jo.
“Alex. Please,” Jo looked at him with wide eyes and stuck out her bottom lip.
“Really? Puppy dog eyes. You’re seriously going to go there?” Alex gave her an unimpressed look.
“Is it working?”
Not being able to say no to that face, Alex relented, "Fine. But only one round of shots and no more. I don't feel like throwing you over my shoulder and hauling your drunk ass out of here tonight."
"Why not? That sounds like fun," Jo's eyes shined brightly.
"Shut up," Alex rolled his eyes.
*****
"Oh my God, did you see his face?" Jo held her stomach as she cackled. "It was priceless. And your face! Your face when he walked in was hilarious."
"And then you threw the vodka shots at him," Alex wiped a couple tears. "Oh man… I haven't laughed like that in years."
It was true, the first time he'd experienced breaking into a stranger's hotel room in the before had been hilarious, but this time around was somehow funnier than he remembered it. Maybe it's because he knew Jo better in this reality. Knowing who she was made it easier to laugh with her and be himself.
Something that he was reminded of since waking up in this timeline was that he never had to be afraid to be himself with Jo. In this timeline as well as the previous one, she had immediately accepted him for who he was. It was an overwhelming realization. Before Jo, no one had simply accepted him for who he was and not who they wanted him to be. Sure his friends accepted him--eventually--but It wasn't without trying to change him first before realizing that this was who he was.
He fought the desire to just pull Jo into his arms and kiss her. He couldn't do that. Not when everything that happened in this timeline depended on the decisions he made going forward.
Still, Alex couldn't help himself as he stared at Jo who sat at the Kitchen island with a carefree smile on her face. So, he finally made his move, "Let's go out today. We both have off, we should do something fun, go somewhere nice.”
"Why would we go out when we can laze around and do nothing here?" Jo reached out for a banana that was in the bowl in front of her. "Besides, going out during the day isn't really our thing. If we go out it's usually for drinks after work and we inevitably end up back here and sit on the couch watching bad TV and joking around for hours until we fall asleep. Plus, I don't even want to think about alcohol after last night. And I definitely do not want to see the state of my liver."
Alex shook his head, "I'm not asking you to get day drunk with me. I'm asking you to go out with me."
Jo's jaw dropped and the banana in her hands fell onto the counter and her eyes looked as though they might bulge out of her skull at any second. She opened and closed her mouth a couple times before speaking, "Oh… You mean a… Oh!" She blinked at him a few times. "Alex… I'm just… I come with a lot of baggage--"
"I know, and that's okay," Alex assured her.
" I'm- I'm not ready to be with anyone yet," Jo attempted to let him down gently. "I like you, I really do. You're probably my best friend. But I need to fix my mess first. One day soon, I'll do it. I'll fix the mess in my brain and I'll be ready."
"Okay," Alex nodded. "Well, I'll be here when you are."
If Jo needed any confirmation or indicator as to what kind of man Alex was, that one comment was enough to crush any doubts she may have had about his character.
"You'd really do that? You'd wait?" She asked.
"Look, I'm going to say something that might freak you out a little because you get squirrely when you're scared, but Jo… I want you and I'm not going anywhere. I'll wait my whole damn life for you because you're worth it. You’re worth being waited on," Alex sighed, eyes softening at the woman sitting across from him. "For now, we're whatever you want us to be. You're taking the lead."
"Let's go out," Jo shrugged. "I mean, we're friends, right? We can still go out. Friends go out with each other."
"Yeah," Alex replied casually. "We can do that."
"Okay."

The Whole Damn World, And More(Current!Axl Rose x Reader) [Smut]
This wasn’t requested, but I love current day Axl, and I really wanted a fic like this.
Description: You’re Axl’s much-younger girlfriend, and the media has had a field day with your relationship. Every article is a false speculation that you’re a gold digger, that Axl’s paid you to date him, that it’s a fake relationship for publicity. It’s not doing much for Axl’s self-esteem, and you’ve noticed. No matter what the media says, it doesn’t change how you feel about Axl, and you’re determined to prove it.
Warnings: Smut, Age Gap Relationship, Hurt/Comfort, Low Self-Esteem

“This is bullshit. Utter. Fucking. Bullshit.”
You stared down at the trashy gossip magazine that was tightly clutched between your fingers, a look of pure disgust on your face. The press weren’t even trying to hide their opinion of your relationship with Axl, anymore. A picture of you and Axl was the front cover. The picture itself was incredibly manipulative; they had snapped the photo while you were distracted, so Axl was smiling at you lovingly while you looked off somewhere else, appearing uninterested.
Along with the picture, the caption read, “Axl Rose has a new girlfriend-or is sugar baby a better word? (Y/n) (L/n), seen pictured here alongside the singer(who just turned 59)while out at a local festival, appears to be completely uninterested in her supposed lover. Maybe the money just isn’t enough?” You could feel your face going beet red. Fuck, you hated the fucking press so much sometimes. You tossed the stupid magazine onto the kitchen floor and stood up from the table, kicking it aside.
God, why did the press hate you so much? You’d known there would be talk, considering how much younger you were than Axl, but this was just plain ridiculous. They were grasping at straws just to drag you through the damn mud. “Everything okay, baby? Heard you throw something.” You glanced up to see Axl standing in the doorway with his arms crossed. You smiled. “Hey, baby. I’m fine. Just a magazine.” He raised an eyebrow and smirked. “What did the magazine do? Do I need to beat it up?”
You giggled, and walked over to give him a hug. “Don’t worry about it, baby. It’s dumb.” He kissed you on the cheek, resting his forehead against yours. “Is it really, or do you just not want me to know what you’re upset about?” Damn it. Axl could always tell when something bothered you. You sighed, leaning your head against his chest, and looked up at him. “The media’s such a bitch sometimes.” A look of understanding crossed his face.
“What was the headline this time?” You stomped over to the magazine and picked it up, smoothing out the wrinkles as you handed it to Axl. He glanced down at it, and a look of hurt crossed his face that made you feel awful for even showing it to him. God, he didn’t deserve this bullshit. “Sugar baby, huh? You put up with way too much of my bullshit to just be in it for my money, isn’t that right baby?” He tossed the magazine back on the floor and wrapped you back into his arms for another warm hug.
You accepted the hug, but pulled your head away from his chest long enough to give him a pointed stare. “You know those magazines are bullshit, right? I love you, not your money.” Axl smiled, although somewhat unconvincingly, and nodded, tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear. “I know, baby.” You knew he was lying, but decided not to pry. You kissed him on the neck and rested your head on his chest again, and he sighed, stroking your hair. “Let’s not look at these magazines anymore.”
You hummed in agreement, the both of you gently rocking back in forth in the embrace, and he suddenly pulled away. “Let’s go watch some TV, baby.” You smiled and followed him into the living room, knowing he was more interested in cuddling on the couch than in actually watching anything. He plopped down on the couch, and you crawled into his lap, letting him wrap an arm around your waist as you rested the back of your head on his chest. He flipped quickly through the channels, and you saw a flash of his name on the screen.
Evidently, he did too, because he stopped on that channel, which turned out to be a trashy talk show. It was a group of middle-aged woman sitting around a table; the bar at the bottom of the screen read: ‘Axl Rose’s Gold Digger Girlfriend.’ You felt Axl tense up, and looked up at him. He looked pissed, but didn’t change the channel. The women were talking about how “obvious” it was that you were using him for his money. “I mean, let’s be honest with ourselves. She’s a young, pretty girl, and Axl Rose hasn’t been attractive since the nineties. There’s nothing in it for her except his money.”
The host who had said that received a round of applause from the audience, but you had already snatched the remote from Axl and turned the TV off, breathing heavily from how pissed off you were at the girl’s words. You could tell from how tightly he was gripping your waist that Axl was upset, and you quickly got off of his lap and turned around to pull him into a hug, pushing his head against your chest and stroking his hair as you whispered in his ear. “Baby, I’m so sorry, don’t listen to them, they don’t know anything.” Axl mumbled something into your shirt. “What did you say, baby?”
He pulled away and repeated himself. “Guess we’ll have to throw the TV out, too.” You smiled, but you knew he was only joking to hide how hurt he was. “I’ll burn it for you, my love.” You took his hand and pressed it against your cheek, kissing his knuckle. “We can just find something else to do, anyway. Actually, I can name a couple of things right now that we could do instead of watching TV.” You smiled suggestively and ran your hand down Axl’s chest, expecting him to get excited and carry you upstairs to the bedroom like he always did, but to your surprise, he shook his head and pushed your hand off, standing up.
“I think I’m just going to call it a night, baby. I ordered a pizza a while ago, it should be here soon. Eat as much of it as you want.” He went upstairs without another word, and you felt a stab of guilt. It was only 8:30; there was no way he was actually tired. Or, maybe he was. You couldn’t blame him, seeing as this constant media bashing would exhaust anyone. Worst of all, it seemed like he was genuinely starting to believe what the media was saying about how you were only with him for his money. That he was an ugly, fat, worthless rock star, and you were just pretending to love him for his cash.
The thought of him believing that was enough to make you want to cry. He was such a sweet man, and he loved you so much, and people couldn’t just leave him alone and let him be happy for once in his life. As you sat at the table, waiting for the doorbell to ring for the pizza, a terrible thought occurred to you: what if Axl was crying upstairs, all alone and feeling used? The image of him curled up in the fetal position with tears running down his face, like a scared little boy, was the final straw. Fuck the goddamn pizza, Axl was way more important.
You hurried up the stairs, almost tripping from how fast you were going, and stopped in front of your bedroom door, pressing one ear to the door to see if you could hear anything. It was deathly silent, which worried you way more than anything else would have. After a moment, you hesitantly knocked on the door. “Come in.” It was so quiet, you almost didn’t hear it. You opened the door, and closed it behind you as you came in. Axl was laying on the bed, facing away from you. His shoes and jeans were still on, and there were no blankets on him. He was just laying there, staring at the blank wall.
“Baby? Are you okay?” You walked around to his side of the bed, sitting on the edge of the bed beside him. He hid his face in the pillow, and you reached out to take his much-bigger hand in your own. “Axl? Honey, look at me please. You can talk to me, you know that.” His shoulders relaxed a little bit, and he moved his head so his cheek was against the pillow. It wasn’t much of an improvement, but you could at least see his face now. “Tell me what’s wrong, my love. I hate seeing you like this.” He sighed, squeezing your hand, and shook his head. “It’s so fucking stupid, baby.”
You leaned down closer to him and stroked his hair, eyeing him sympathetically. “What’s stupid, baby? Talk to me, I’m here for you.” He was silent for a moment, seemingly getting his thoughts together. “I feel like I’m not enough for you.” You felt a pang of guilt in your chest, heartbroken at how sad he sounded. “Not enough for me? Aw, baby, I’m so sorry, how have I made you feel like that? I promise I didn’t mean to, you’re more than enough for me.” Axl shook his head, finally sitting up enough for you to see his face. “I don’t mean you at all, baby, you haven’t done anything wrong. If anything, I think you’re just about the only person who hasn’t acted like I’m not enough for you.”
Confused, you crawled into Axl’s arms and wrapped your own around him, pulling him closer to you to make him feel safer. “Then who’s been making you feel that way, baby?” You gently scratched his back with your fingernails, and felt him relax under your touch. “The media, talk show hosts, people on fucking Twitter, my friends, the entire general public, I could go on and on. It’s like I’m finally happy and I’ve finally met someone whom I’m head-over-heels for, and it feels like everyone’s against it. All this shit..as far as the newspapers are concerned, you’re a gold digger and I’m a fat, ugly loser who’s paying you for sex.”
You felt your heart rip in half. Did he really believe that you were only in this for the money, like how people were saying? “Axl, baby, I don’t know if me saying this will help anything, but I promise you I’m not with you for your money. I’m with you because you’re kind, and you’re funny, and you’re so, so handsome, and so talented, and because I love you so much. You could lose all your money tomorrow and I’d still be right here beside you when you woke up the next day.” Axl looked genuinely touched, and he leaned over and kissed you on the lips. “Maybe I really don’t deserve you. You’re the sweetest fucking angel on earth, you know that, baby?”
You grinned and stroked his face, happy he was cheering up. “We deserve each other, baby. But you really do know I’m not a gold digger, right?” Axl nodded. “I never thought you were, baby, I’ve just been worried that those people are right. That you do deserve someone better, and that you’ll realize that and leave me for a younger guy who’s actually attractive and more in shape than me, you know? I guess I wouldn’t blame you if you did, though, I know I’m not exactly the most sexually appealing guy on the planet. Far from it, actually. I’m sorry for that.” You frowned and kissed his forehead. “What? Baby, where did you get that idea from?”
He laughed, and leaned his head back against the pillow, clasping his hands behind his head. “Haven’t you seen all the talk shows and the headlines and the memes, baby? I think it’s pretty clear what the general public thinks of me. Not to mention, we have mirrors.” You narrowed your eyes and, without warning him, straddled him and pinned his arms down on the bed, leaning forward so that your lips were just an inch away from his. “You really think you’re not attractive enough, baby?” He looked a little surprised, but nodded. You leaned even closer until your lips brushed his own. “Guess I’ll have to show you how wrong you are, then.”
You kissed him roughly, gripping his shirt in your fingers and running your hands up his chest. When you pulled away, his lips were swollen and red, and he looked shocked out of his mind. “What do you say, Ax? Want me to show you? I won’t do anything else unless you want me to.” He nodded quickly and pulled you back down to kiss him again, running his hands down to squeeze your firm ass. You could feel him getting hard beneath you, and you ground your hips down against his, feeling it harden even more as he moaned against your lips.
You pulled away and tugged at the hem of his shirt, hinting to him that you wanted it off, and he hesitated. You immediately stopped and looked up at him. “What’s the matter?” He smiled weakly. “Maybe I should keep the shirt on this time, baby.” You frowned and shook your head. “No way! I love seeing you shirtless, baby, I’d let you walk around like that all day if you wanted to.” He still looked uncertain, so you spoke to him gently. “Do you really not want to take it off? I’m not gonna force you, baby.” He fidgeted with his shirt hem. “Do you promise that you actually like me like that? With my shirt off, I mean. It really doesn’t bother you?”
You smiled reassuringly and kissed his forehead. “It doesn’t bother me at all. I love your body, baby, you should be proud of it. Here, let me see.” You gently pulled his shirt up enough to expose his chest and tummy, and admired his body fondly. “See? Nothing to be ashamed off. It’s perfect to me.” You leaned down and kissed a line down his chest, reveling in the sounds he made as you got closer to his bulge. You kissed down his belly until your lips reached the waistband of his jeans, and then licked a stripe up his belly, making his hips jolt underneath you. You fiddled with the button on his jeans, and he sat up a little more excitedly.
You pulled his jeans down his thighs enough to reveal his boxers, and slid your hand down his waistband to rub his cock. He moaned softly at the contact, and you pulled his cock out and let it rest against his stomach, stroking a finger up the exposed underside of the shaft. Tiny drops of precum beaded from the tip, and you swiped them up with your finger and licked them up. You realized he still had his shoes on, and got off of him long enough to pull them off along with his tight pants and boxers, leaving him completely naked and exposed. Your eyes raked his body appreciatively, and you smiled.
“You’re so fucking sexy, baby. God, look at that. Your cock looks so tasty. I guarantee you those bitchy talk show hosts don’t get dick like this. I’m so lucky.” Your words made Axl go red, and he smiled sheepishly as you climbed back on top of him and kissed him once again, running your hands over his chest as you did so. By now, a steady stream of precum was leaking from his tip, and his erection was so red and throbbing that it almost looked painful. “Aw, look at that. Let me take care of you, baby.” You reached out and wrapped your hand around the base, and he sighed gently at the soft touch.
You gently pumped your hand up and down his hard shaft, rubbing your thumb over his slit and spreading the precum over his head. His head fell back against the pillow, and you giggled and leaned down to kiss the tip. His reaction was to curse under his breath and push the back of your head down until your mouth was around the tip, and you eagerly sucked on the head as you attempted to slowly take the entire thing into your mouth. A low moan fell from Axl‘s lips, and he mumbled praises under his breath as he closed his eyes and laid back against the bed. You rubbed circles on his thigh with one hand.
You wrapped one hand around his base to keep it steady as you took it all the way into your mouth until your lips met your hand. You used your free hand to cup his balls, fondling them as you swirled your tongue around the tip, licking up the beads of precum leaking from his slit. Axl shivered and gently pulled you off of his dick, beckoning you to come closer to him. You did, and he kissed you desperately as his hands slid up the back of your shirt to hold onto your hips. He pulled away and smiled. “How come I’m the only naked one here? It’s not very fair.”
You grinned at him and nodded. “You’re right, it’s not! So sorry, let me fix that, baby.” You grabbed your shirt by the edges and pulled it off, throwing it across the room and turning back to Axl. “Wanna help me get this bra off?” Axl’s face lit up and he nodded eagerly, sliding his hands around to the clasp of your bra and unsnapping it with ease. “You’re a natural at this, baby!” Axl laughed. “Probably helps that we do this a lot.” You tugged the bra off and discarded it with the shirt, and then grabbed Axl’s hands and guided them to your breasts.
He gently squeezed them, rubbing his fingers over your nipples until they were hard, and then looked up at you. “Move a little closer?” You smiled, knowing what he wanted to do, and leaned close enough for him to take one of your nipples into his mouth, sucking gently on it and then gently sucking a hickey onto the space right above it. You tightened your hands in his hair and moaned softly, encouraging him under your breath. “Fuck, that’s so good, baby.” Soon enough, you pulled away and grabbed Axl’s hands again to guide them under your skirt.
His hands were warm, and you had to bite your lip to keep from gasping as he gently teased your entrance with his fingertip. Axl slowly pushed it inside you, immediately stretching out your walls as you tightened around him. “Here, take the skirt and the panties off so I can see you better.” You obediently lifted yourself up enough to slide off your skirt and thin panties, letting them drop to the floor. Axl’s eyes drifted down to your exposed pussy, and he beckoned for you to move closer. “Fuck, you look so damn perfect, baby. I don’t deserve you.” You leaned down to kiss him again, cupping his cheek.
“You deserve me, I deserve you, we deserve each other, baby. Want me to ride you?” Axl nodded, eyes widening as you grabbed his cock by the base to steady it as you lined up your entrance with his tip, placing your free hand on Axl’s chest as you slowly lowered yourself onto his cock, throwing your head back in pleasure as you slid down about half-way on it and then stopped to adjust to his size. “Fuck, your cock is so big baby, you stretch me out so good!” Axl moned softly at the praise, grabbing your hips and gently pulling you all the way down on his dick as your pussy tightened around his shaft.
You pulled his hands off and pinned them to his chest, deciding that you wanted to take control, and pulled yourself all the way back up off of his dick so that the tip was barely pressing against your entrance. Axl protested at the sudden lack of contact, but immediately shut up when you slammed your hips all the way back down on his cock without warning, prompting him to grab at the bedsheets with a white-knuckled grip. You developed a steady rhythm, going up and down on his dick at a face past as he kept busy by grabbing at your soft breasts as they teasingly bounced around in front of his face.
“Fuck, Axl, you feel so good. You think any of those bitchy fucking talkshow hosts get fucked this good? You think those losers that write the newspapers can fuck their wives as good as you fuck me? God, you’re so amazing, baby, I love you so much!” You leaned down to kiss him passionately as you slowed your pace, taking the time to tease his tip with your entrance as you only went as far as his tip. When you took him all the way in again, his tip brushed against your g-spot, and you moaned loudly, pushing your hips farther down to repeat the motion. After doing this a few more times, you could tell you were almost there. “Fuck, baby, I’m close!”
Axl grabbed your hips and pulled you off of his dick. “Let me eat you out, baby, I wanna taste that sweet pussy.” You eagerly crawled up until your pussy was an inch away from his mouth, and he pulled your thighs down to give himself better access as he slid his tongue over your dripping wet clit. Axl grabbed your ass and gently pushed you down so you were sitting on his face, allowing him to push his tongue deeper inside you as his lips wrapped around your sensitive clit. You gasped at the sensation, bucking against his mouth as he ate you out like a starving beggar; it only took you about a minute or so until you felt your climax coming.
“Fuck, baby, I’m gonna cum-” You threw your head back and screamed as you came, legs shaking and eyes almost rolling back in your head. Axl licked up your cum, cleaning it out of your now-sensitive pussy and gently kissing your thigh. “You taste so good, baby, thank you.” You kissed him again, tasting yourself on his lips, and then remembered that he was still hard. “Aw, baby, I almost forgot. Here, let me pay you back for that.” You crawled down until you were facing his cock, the tip even redder than before, and wasted no time in taking the whole thing in your mouth, deepthroating it roughly to help him cum as quickly as possible.
You hollowed your cheeks around his shaft as you squeezed his balls and swirled your tongue around his head, and Axl warningly fisted his hands into your hair and shoved you all the way down. “Baby, baby, fuck I’m so close, I’m gonna cum right down that pretty little throat.” You took the hint and pulled off so that just his tip was in your mouth, and he came down your throat, tightening his fingers into your hair and keeping you on his cock as his cum filled your mouth. It was almost a minute before he was finished, and you quickly swallowed his seed and lapped up the stray drops from his cock.
When you looked up at Axl, his head was leaned back against the pillow and his eyes were shut, chest rising and falling as he slowly began to regain his normal breathing pattern. You smiled affectionately and crawled up beside him in bed, pushing the hair up off of his forehead to help him cool off. He opened one eye to look at you, a small smile on his face. “That was pretty fucking incredible, baby.” You giggled, kissing him on the forehead and cuddling up beside him as you pulled the covers over the two of you. “Damn right it was. But do you get it now? Those newspapers and shows don’t mean shit. I love you, Axl Rose, and that’ll never change.”
Axl smiled, taking one of your hands in his own and gently kissing your knuckle. “And that’s why your the love of my life, baby. I fucking adore you. You really don’t mind how I look?” You nodded. “Why would I? You’re sexy as fuck, baby, I wouldn’t fuck you so much if I didn’t think so.” Axl closed his eyes again, laughing. “Yeah, I guess that’s true. That’s a relief, cus I really like your body, too.” You playfully rolled your eyes and snuggled up closer to him. “Never would have guessed. For real, though, I love you. And I don’t care how many articles or talk shows think that’s a lie, we can just burn the newspapers and change the channel.”
Axl nodded. “Yeah. Yeah, that’s right. I bet half of those talk show ladies are just jealous that they’re not as beautiful as you, anyway.” You blushed. “Or maybe they’re just jealous that their love lives aren’t as good as ours.” Axl nodded. “Or that they aren’t as sexy.” You continued, the both of you on a roll. “Or that their husbands have small dicks.” Axl burst out laughing at that one. “I have a small dick and you still love me!” You snorted with laughter. “Axl, you’re fucking huge. I’m gonna be walking funny for a week!” Axl grinned. “Guess I’ll just have to carry you everywhere, then, baby.”
He yawned suddenly, and you smiled fondly as his eyelids started to droop. The sex must have worn him out. “Tired, baby?” Axl nodded. “I know you ordered a pizza, but I’m so sleepy.” You smiled, letting him rest his head on your chest as you stroked his hair. “Go to sleep, baby, and I’ll keep an ear out for the doorbell.” Axl frowned in concern. “You sure you don’t want to go to sleep, too?” You shook your head. “I’d rather sit here and admire you.” Axl went pink, and he shook his head in astonishment as he quickly drifted off to sleep. “I don’t deserve you.” You sighed. “You do deserve me, baby. You deserve the whole damn world and more.”
