back in days of old, rap and hip hop was seen as a foolish endeavor; a moronic art form made by black people. whites did not gaf about it. thankfully while that’s changed… tumblr one of the only social medias i use to keep in contact with the outside world. i’ve seen the dumbest, stupidest posts because tumblr is a white hell. there are basically next to no black bloggers. they’re either dead or they abandoned the site or they were banned during that whole russian bot shit and whatever remains of black tumblr is a decrepit grave that i wish i experienced—but thanks to the hostilities of the white userbase and the staff’s oppressive nature towards blacks first and foremost, most of us are gone. i have been on this site for approximately a year or two and i have only accrued a few black people on this site. every other thing i see is traditionally antiblackness laced in progressive language, clear unbridled ignorance of black phrases, substitutions of “nigga” for the euphemism “f slur” and especially because of kendrick lamar’s beef with drake extending across the entire internet and worldwide; tumblr the “hating” website gets ahold of it. for the first time, people experience the lyricisms of kendrick and the banality of drake on full display…

It was late at night, Fyodor, your father, had been working a bit too much as of late. Despite him always worrying (even behind his cold and unfeeling demeanor, you could easily tell.) over you, here you and your dad, Nikolai, were, ready to fuss over him not actually taking of himself.

“...Father, you know that you have to sleep at least for two hours, right? I know you’re working on some illegal stuff or whatever, but how are you going to go through with them if you can’t even lift your finger? And don’t get me started on that blood cup thing you were trying to do - you know your anemia cannot handle that—” You were scolding him, which your dad found quite amusing because, well, you were supposed to be the one being fussed over.

Your father, however, did not find it as amusing, but he did find it endearing that you cared for him so much.

“Yes yes, I am aware of how I almost passed out not even half an hour later, you’ve repeated that for the last hour you’ve been scolding me, darling.”

“Don’t get cocky with me now, and get to bed while you’re still able to even be on your feet.”

Your father, only sighed out before slowly (and admittedly, wobbly) out of his chair and away from his (big ass) computer screens. Nikolai took this chance to throw him over his shoulder proudly, something he’d never be able to do if your father had all his energy, and started to carry him towards his bed as your father just groaned, the sight making you stifle a laugh, especially with the way he was just swaying like a piece of paper in the wind.

“Go get him something to eat or something - I don’t know,” Your dad exclaimed, and despite his playful demeanor, you knew he cared a lot about your father, just as much (if not more,) as you did, so you went into the kitchen, grabbing a bar of dark chocolate and walking back to his bedroom to see the two in the bed - or more so, Nikolai whining to get in the bed while Fyodor denied over and over his requests to cuddle. 

Pushing (or more so, prying) your dad off and away from the bed so you could hand your father the dark chocolate bar, he thanked you.

“Thank you, as odd as it is to have my own kid… yelling at me, it does mean something to me, at least.”

“It’s reallllllll funny watching Fyo-Fyo getting yelled at though!”

Good morning folks! Time to post my Smiling Friends headcanons! List is pretty long so get ready 😎👉

Pim has a bicycle that he uses when he’s off work. He uses it to either get to places that are close to his house, to visit Charlie or to relieve any stress he may have. He loves his bike. It even has a little basket in the front 🌸💕

Pim had a party animal rebel phase in middle school. He used to be friends with a group of bullies but didn’t feel happy making fun of others and breaking the rules after a while and started behaving better once he reached high school.

Pim has a wardrobe full of different clothing, including dresses. He considers his usual white collared button shirt his trademark.

Charlie plays acoustic guitar. His uncle taught him how to play. He’s not a good singer but he tries.

Whenever Pim and Charlie hangout outside of work, they adapt to each other’s style. Pim would wear a hoodie or jean jacket with sneakers and jeans to look cool while Charlie would try to appear well dressed and more approachable by wearing a sweater vest.

Pim loves Summer while Charlie enjoys the comfort of Fall.

Pim loves Chappell Roan, Lemon Demon, Metric and Paramore.

Charlie is a fan of Weezer, Green Day, Mother Mother and Gorillaz. He claims to hate pop music in public, saying that it’s cheesy repetitive noise with no deep meaning or real substance, but he loves listening to certain pop songs in private. He especially loves listening to pop songs from the 2000’s

Pim is a frog-like critter. He still has his tadpole tail from when he was a kid but it’s shrunken down to an incredibly small size.

Charlie has a tail too but he doesn’t want to show it so he hides it inside his pants. His tail is small and stubby, similar to that of a capybara.

Pim is a really good swimmer but he has to wear a swimming cap to protect his nerve ending while under the water. He might have an ability to breathe and blow bubbles underwater as well.

Pim loves sweets and deserts! He enjoys savoring the taste of strawberry shortcake.

Allan loves cheesecake! He and Pim would buy cheesecake together and eat outside of work if they were to ever hang out.

Charlie and Zoey are in an open relationship.

Glep would absolutely listen to breakcore.

Pim does meditation! It helps him get into a more calm state of mind and he feels motivated for the day afterwards.

Pim would be a wonderful elementary school teacher. He would be so incredibly patient with kids.

I have a headcanon related to Spamtopia! The more time you spend there, the more you start to blend in with the world. Since it’s confirmed that the Fun Twin mascots are from Spamtopia and their forms look different in the Salty’s episode than how they look in their flashback it seems to have the same effect on citizens from Spamtopia with them becoming more defined the more time they spend outside of Spamtopia.

Little bonus addition to the Spamtopia headcanon, if you spend more time after your form has changed you start to lose your memories. This can range from memories that are small and easily forgettable to incredibly important core memories. Spamtopians who move from their city to live somewhere else don’t suffer from this problem.

Kapyy is going out tonight, he’s on his vigilante shit.

This is the most cursed thing I’ve made and that includes an abstract painting of an amethyst I made over Easter break. The sketch with the basic idea and more thoughts and headcanons below I guess.

Firstly don’t look at the mouth too much, the teeth were annoying me. I seem to do like a simplistic style for people and not going overly detailed on their features when i put effort in. For my A level final piece, a self portrait, i sort of made my eyes mouth and nose less deatailed but you can still tell that it’s a face and so it looks kinda good. Honestly this piece looks better than i thought it would, i sort of panic when making art but i can make stuff look good when i put effort in, see the other canvas paintings I’ve posted here.

I started this on the 3rd of August and finished on the 10th.

As seen with my last post i hated doing those rhinestones and tassels but they ended up looking kinda good. I did the hair the same way i did the hair in my previous posts. I used the same brushes as well, custom watercolour and glitter brushes and the procreate turpentine brush to blend. I have a lot of process pics of me working on the colouring that look cursed that i kinda want to do a photo dump on. I also used the chromatic abbreviation filter on procreate to create a subtle glow around him.

Also i decided to put a signature on it, something that i keep forgetting to do on other pieces I’ve made. (Well for school i put my name on the back of my canvases, by the end of the year i had like eight canvases and by sketchbooks)

I had what i like to call a glee-lapse where i started re-listening to a bunch of glee covers, specifically: Nasty/Rhythm Nation, The Boy Is Mine, Start Me Up/Livin’ On A Prayer, and Don’t Start Believing. Other songs i listened to include, Ldn By Lily Allen, Black Magic by Little Mix, Take Me to Church by Hozier, Bella’s Lullaby from Twilight, Touch-Tone Telephone by Lemon Demon, American Healthcare by Penelope Scott, Grace Kelly by Mika, Misery Business by Paramore, Coney Island, My Tears Ricochet, Better than Revenge, So Long London, But Daddy I Love Him, I look in Peoples Windows, Down Bad and the song this is based off of, Vigilante Shit all by Taylor Swift. I was at the Eras tour in Dublin in June which ended my A-levels exams. I also got the signed midnights blood moon vinyl for Christmas in 2022, then i put a st brigid’s cross i made on it and my mum thought it was a photo of Jesus when she saw it hanging on my wall.

The just dance wiki seems to have argued over who Kapyy’s performer is. Like he’s performed by someone, there is a kinda unnerving behind the scenes photo of him, like has he just escaped into our reality like Layl and Gabriela have. Where did that behind the scenes pic come from?

Headcanons I’ve been developing. So still going off the whole Kapyy and Talia are twins, they both have ADHD. This comes from me possibly having undiagnosed adhd that is manifesting as anxiety so yay. It’s also just came to me that since i said that their dad should be from Cyber funk that he should be the Blinding lights extreme coach. Basically Blinding lights extreme and Giddy on Up take place round about the same time so BLE meets GOU whilst he visits Wasterra, they fall in love, eventually get married and have twins, Kapyy is ultimately kidnapped at birth leaving Talia unaware that she has a twin until she unknowingly meets him shortly after the events of I Knew You Were trouble. The GOU and BLE coaches were popular performers of their time and teach performing arts classes art a university now, with Talia studying English literature and language, and Kapyy being an Art student who performs on the side (So basically I’m Blue extreme), as in he gets paid for performing but he masks he actual feelings, whilst Talia would actually show her emotions through her ability to control tvs.

Other headcanons include, when Kapyy isn’t doing too great the Levitating Extreme coach has to bring him home and make sure he’s ok. Kapyy and Talia are basically Dipper and Mabel from Gravity Falls sorta, Talia is dipper and Kapyy is Mabel, like how they ground each other. Both of them are also double jointed (obviously their performers most likely aren’t). That’s about it so far.

I also think that i alienated the two people on twitter who follow me for yo kai watch by just posting just dance fanart there, luckily there is the Yo kai watch Just Dance Game, when my worlds collide, so i want to do more yo kai watch fanart. I have an idea for a yo kai watch x just dance fanart, kapyy may or may not be involved ion that.

That’s about it, i feel fuzzy again like I’m excited and nervous to post.

i can like songs almost entirely because of the instrumental. unless the lyrics are insane insane i’ll probably like a weird song solely because of the instrumental.

i sound weird telling people that two trucks is a good song. because it is. the instrumental is what makes it good. (nature tapes is my favorite lemon demon album/ep mostly because of the instrumentals and extra stuff like backing vocals.)

saying this, sometimes instrumentals can ruin songs. oh wait no. the vocals can. it rubs me the wrong way if the vocals don’t match the instrumental. like what are you even doing here. the song starts out great with the little instrumental bit you’re getting all excited and then BAM the vocals don’t match at all. (i know it can be a stylistic choice but it kind of just slaps you in the face sometimes)

sometimes the instrumental makes the song BETTER too! for example, touch tone telephone is already a great song! (yes another lemon demon song. neil makes banger instrumentals) and then you listen to the the instrumental and it’s like woah! little things ive never heard over the vocals! woah!

Her name is/was Cloudy! She's a weird bug-like alien who I'm currently figuring out what to do with because she's a huge self-insert and I feel like I can't do much with her in her current state because I have trouble putting a pin in what makes me "me" so writing her is difficult. I'm trying to make her have more elements of myself and not be entirely a me-stand-in, if that makes sense. No idea what to do with her otherwise! As far as "what music would they listen to" I do have some ideas:

The Merchant would like hard-girl-pop (whatever genre Remi Wolf and Marina and the Diamonds are) and Chappell Roan (once again hard-girl-pop and she's also a lesbian like her). Anything upbeat with an edge to it, really. She'd probably also like punk rock, like Weezer or the Beastie Boys or Blink-182, anything catchy and just a bit cheesy/lame (I mean this affectionately). Also Joan Jett and Heart! Anything with women who rock and go hard, really

The Surgeon would listen to depeche mode because they have odd yet darkly erotic vibes. I feel like he'd be into that weird kind of new wave 80s music in general. He also probably listens to horribly numbing elevator jazz (also saying this affectionately as someone who loves this music too). POV you're getting stitches and the doctor won't stop humming along to the "your call is put on hold" music he's blasting in the background

The Paramedic also likes depeche mode for the same reasons. Other than that I can't think of music she'd like...maybe someday I will think up more for her

Q loves bubblegum pop. He'd also like cheery love songs, probably from the 60s or earlier because they tend to have no swearing or overtly sexual themes. She's not a prude, he just gets squeamish around listening to that kind of thing. I feel like Q would also listen to a lot of chiptune and video game soundtracks (Bubblegum K.K. from animal crossing comes to mind as a potential fave of hers)

Jean Doe would listen to breakcore and metal, anything loud with a lot of bass (partially because they're hard of hearing and like feeling the music). They probably prefer instrumental songs over songs with lyrics. They're also very proudly french canadian so there's probably some underground drum-and-bass group from canada that they really like, but alas, I am not super into that genre so I do not know any specific artists they'd listen to...

The Renegade would be a total music snob about her favorite genre...but I have no idea what she's listen to. I almost wanna go the classic "stuck up formal lady listens to only classical/orchestral music" route but I feel like it might be more interesting if her favorite music genre was something unexpected for someone to be snobbish about, like non-serious rap or boy bands or joke/parody songs or something. Starting to actually like the "she's stuck up about the quality of parody songs" concept. She'll put on The Saga Begins by Weird Al and pour a glass of red wine before launcing into a tasteful rant about the ingenuity of using American Pie to create a star wars parody (it's clever and funny on a surface level but it also accurately captures the musical odyssey that is American Pie combined with the sprawling narrative that is star wars, you see, so it has immense dual thematic value--)

Other than that I have no other music thoughts...too many ocs not enough brain space lol but I especially love thinking about their music tastes :D

19. What are some things that inspired your stories? Real events? Maybe a dream?

That's funny that this question mentions dreams because I do have a character who is inspired by a weird recurring nightmare I used to have. Still working on how to fit him into my story as a whole but he's neat I think. Most of my other story ideas are just things I find interesting or messed up or cool or compelling tbh :)

29. What was your first fandom you were in? Did you make any art/fanfic for it?

I joined tumblr back in 2016 for steven universe actually! I was also into homestuck at the time so those were my main two fandoms. I still think fondly of homestuck (mainly the intermission though) and although I never finished steven universe I still think it's a pretty cute show. I didn't start making fanart until mid-2020 (I literally only drew my ocs haha) and I started writing fanfic (again only wrote about my ocs) in early 2023

I have so many fear themed songs, so here’s a song for each fear! I know I did this with just lemon demon songs, but there are so many others, I wanted to make a better list.

The Spiral - uncanny long arms by underscores. This is the most Micheal/helen coded song out there I will fight people about this also I love this album

The Corruption - Maggot by Slutever. Pretty self explanatory, maggots and worms

The Buried - Smother by Slutever. Another Slutever song, but I think it fits and I really like them :)

The Vast - Lost In Space by Derivakat and Netrum. Captures the thing where vast avatars are just happy while committing various crimes

The Stranger - Smoke and Mirrors by Gotye. This is more angled towards the Not!Them instead of the CotO, especially the people around it.

The Hunt - Bill Waterson by Lemon Demon. I feel like being stalked can definitely fall under the hunt
