WARDROBE MALFUNCTION
A/N: i couldn't just move on those pics
WORD COUNT: 659
SUMMARY: You're dealing with a bit of a wardrobe malfunction upon arriving to a wedding. At first your boyfriend is no help, but then he saves the day as always.
MASTERLIST | SUPPORT ME!
“Harry! This is not funny!” you groan in frustration, frantically trying to fix your dress with not much luck while your boyfriend seems to be pretty entertained by your bad luck.
“It kind of is,” he chuckles, watching your struggle with a smug grin that’s mostly for your loosely clothed chest area.
You parked down by the wedding’s venue just about ten minutes ago and you leaned forward to grab your purse from the glove compartment when your dress’ seam broke along your side. Well, it burst open, to be precise. You knew the dress was too tight, but it was so pretty, you didn’t want to change into something else and now you’re fucked.
With the dress rolled down around your hips you’ve been trying to figure out how to fix with whatever you have in your purse and in Harry’s car, but aside from one single safety pin, you found nothing that could help and that wouldn’t be enough to hold the fabric together around you for the whole time.
“Would you stop eyeing my boobs and help me?” you snap at him, sweat starting to bead on your forehead.
“Okay, first, I thought being your boyfriend meant I can stare at your boobs whenever I want to,” he starts, joking. “And second, I don’t have a sewing kit hidden in my pants, so there’s not much I can do for you, my love.”
You groan in frustration as you let go of the dress and lean back, tears threatening to bubble from your eyes. Now Harry can tell you’re past the jokes so he moves closer and inspects the rip, but he doesn’t get farther than you did.
“I’m not going in there,” you whisper, eyes closed, lips trembling.
“Hey, no need to cry and you will not spend the wedding hidden in the car. Let me think for a second.”
Reaching over he cups your face and gently rubs your cheek with his thumb while you’re trying to regulate your breathing and stop yourself from crying. You’re starting to get used to the thought that you will, in fact, spend this wedding in the car in your ruined dress, but then you hear Harry moving around in his seat and when you open your eyes you see him shrugging his jacket off.
“What are you doing?”
He doesn’t answer, just throws the jacket to the backseat and then starts unbuttoning the soft yellow colored shirt he is wearing underneath, revealing the white tank top he put on under the shirt.
“Harry?” you ask as he takes the shirt off too and then turns to you.
“Here, put this on. Roll the dress down into a skirt.”
He pulls you forward from the back of the seat so he can drape the shirt around you and help you into it.
“But what will you wear?” you ask, finally moving, slipping your arms into the shirt.
“This and the jacket,” he shrugs, nodding down at his top.
It takes some time to assemble the outfit, you tie a knot on the shirt at your waist, low enough to cover the ruined part of your dress, only showing the skirt of it. Harry helps you roll the sleeves up and fix the buttons before he leans back to look at you.
“There, you look wonderful, baby,” he smiles at you before reaching to the back for his jacket.
“As much as I hate you for laughing at me earlier, I really do love you now,” you sigh with pouty lips as you reach over to him to pull him closer for a kiss.
“Am I forgiven for laughing?” he smirks, putting his jacket back on.
“You’ll have to run some extra miles for that later at home, but we’re alright for now.”
Harry laughs as he gets out of the car, jogging over to your side to help you out before the two of you finally head inside.
Thank you for reading, please like and reblog if you enjoyed and buy me a coffee if you want to support me!

Inspired by this post and a comment I've just realised it may be helpful for people just learning to sew and make clothes what's easier to start with and what's harder.
So offering my opinion as a cosplayer who's sewn a lot of things.
(Baring in mind this is as the most basic version, not taking into account pleats or collars etc)
Starting with easier.
- T-shirts and tops, fairly simple, you could literally a square/rectangle and leave bits unsewn for the sleeves and head and it'd still work, for the sleeves, it's just more rectangles.
(Will help to curve the holes though, especially for the neckline)
- Dresses honestly pretty similar just long rectangle, just means you're using more fabric.
With both of these if you want to take it in anywhere to make it more form fitting it tends just to be like a curve inward, just make sure it's all flat or you'll catch some fabric on the side you're not looking at and have to go over again and possibly have puncture holes depending on what fabric you're using.
-Skirts again pretty simple, it just depends how you want to do the waist, and making sure if it doesn't unfastened all the the way down that the top of the skirt can go over your hips.
- Trousers (pants) are hell, I know people that have degrees in fashion or costume making and still despise making trousers.
Important to remember that you're probably gonna need the back to come a bit higher up, if you find it riding too low add in a long triangle, you'll often find bought jeans with this done on purpose.
The inseam? Honestly I have no tips it's why I hate making trousers.
If you're using an elastic waistband pretty sure the rule is elastic the measurement of your waist, fabric to the measurement of your hips/the biggest oart it has to go over. Elastic will stretch but not all fabrics will.
- Jumpsuits/Dungarees, I haven't made many but the issues here is again the inseam plus making sure you don't give yourself a wedgie cause it needs to go over your shoulders as well, so probably like give extra length than you would for top + trousers and then take it in.
- Gloves are a nightmare, would not recommend, I only tend to make them for facepaint characters if I can't find some online that are long enough. You will have to unpick some thread between your fingers, I don't know what else to offer.
Almost anything that fits you when on and is just a pain to put on can be fixed with a longer zip, I have a dress that fits perfectly when on but because its fitted at the waist it won't go over my hips or shoulders unless the zip goes all the way to my hips, but it works.
Will eventually do like a proper guide to making stuff as simple as possible, I have both a top, trousers and cloak to make for an upcoming cosplay so that's gonna be fun.

Sizing up a hoodie or sweatshirt
I had an old hoodie I wanted to wear more often, but it's always been a little snug (the price you pay when the merch table at a show has limited sizes remaining but you HAVE TO GET A SOUVENIR - and also support the band). I realized I had another hoodie I didn't wear very much, and decided to sacrifice it to size up the other!
The black stripe is the sacrificial hoodie bit, which overall made the original hoodie about 6 in larger all around (3 in strip added under each arm). Keep in mind, this method makes the torso larger, but also the sleeve size. I bet that's helpful to most people, but if you wanted to not size up the sleeve so much, you could probably cut your strip so it's narrower as it goes down the sleeve. But not to a fine point! Just a little narrower on one end than the other. You still need to have room to use your serger on both seams.
I looked up tips for adding a gusset under the arm. It was not an ideal solution; I ran into a pet peeve in my searching. When folks yadda-yadda over the fiddliest bit of the process. No! Please tell me how exactly you pivot around a point with a stretch stitch and then serge the rest of a seam!! I was not about to try to figure that out with no clear tips.
So, I decided to approach it with the skills and tools I was most confident using (not confident in my ability to use the right kind of stretch stitch around a corner at an armpit seam. I knew it would fall apart!).
NOTE: I used a serger for the entire process. I opt to use an embroidery needle or similar to pull the tail back up into a few stitches rather than try to sew over the tail ends. It's not as quick but I know it works and I have more control. I'm not going to cut into something by accident either!
ANOTHER NOTE: You HAVE TO use 2 sweatshirts or hoodies that are the same length from the pit to the BOTTOM HEM. If the length from the pit to the arm cuff hem is somewhat off, that's okay. When you're done, you could always cut off the cuffs and serge on a new one. But you can't so easily do that on the bottom hem on a hoodie with a zipper.
See how the cuff is misaligned here. I could cut off the cuff just above the grey seam and serge on a new strip of ribbed knit if I wanted it to look cleaner. But this was close enough, and also who wants to chop off its character? Someone who's probably no fun at parties, but probably better than me at filing their taxes, that's who.
HOW I DID IT
I essentially added a strip from one hoodie into the under arm/side of the other. If you're wanting to be precise, you can measure how much extra room you want to add, divide by 2 and that's how much you'll harvest from your sacrificial hoodie. The serging will eat some from each seam; consider how much you are comfortable serging off and add that math in for yourself. This one was about 3" wide on each side, as I feel comfortable to serge with taking off just a whisper.
I used a marking tool and a ruler to mark a consistent 3" wide cutting line from hem to cuff on the black hoodie. You'll be cutting a straight strip so don't eyeball it! If you're making it a little smaller at one end than the other, an even better reason not to eyeball it!
You can only remove up to where you come in contact with a pocket, zipper, or other component. Pick up a hoodie and look under the arms and you'll see what I mean! Here's as far as I cut due to the location of the pocket on the black hoodie:
Here's what that black hoodie looked like after I cut out the strips. Daniel was quite amused by it looking like a pelt and/or some kind of punk wizard's cape:
Mark which strip is meant for which side before you move on, so you don't get frustrated later! THIS IS IMPORTANT!
Next, you have to cut open the hoodie that will be gaining these strips. At first, I was carefully seam ripping the side seams but that is SILLY! Don't do that. Just cut it, your serger will be removing any old seam bits.
Right sides together, pin your strips in place. IMPORTANT! Make sure you're using the correct side of the old hoodie to the new one! R with R, L with L.
IMPORTANT ALSO!! Make sure the underarm pit seam intersection is aligned! Start pinning from there, and work your pinning out. AGAIN! the length from this pit junction to the bottom hem should be almost exactly the same or this will give you a headache.
(Pay attention to your pits, to avoid getting down in the dumps.)
Time to serge! You can squinch and fudge the seams a little as you serge to make them line up a little better. Just don't pull or yank on them much, or your knits will be forever wonky.
Here's what it looks like on the inside:
I hope this is helpful to others and you get more wears from things you love! If you need to find a hoodie or sweatshirt to sacrifice, hit up a thrift store. Just be sure to bring your hoodie with you as you shop, so you get one that is almost exactly the same length from hem to hem.

You tossed a crumpled ball of white mixed media paper over your shoulder unceremoniously for the umpteenth time that afternoon. Your eyes trailed to the glass window panes on the stone walls of NRC’s spacious attic-turned-elective classroom studio as you noted the spring sky’s robin-egg-blue hue dotted with wispy ivory clouds.
Around you stood adjustable dress forms draped with haphazard fabrics of students’ unfinished projects. Next to the dress forms were rectangular sewing tables with ruby pin cushions, cream sewing machines, and sewing threads of every color of the rainbow that were more than enough for fabled sewing mice to use.
Sigh. You turned your attention back to your mixed media sketchbook, flipping to a new page and tapping your pencil against it. I could use some fabled sewing mice to help me come up with a wedding dress design idea right now.
Your final assignment for Fashion Design class (a new elective class at NRC taught by Crewel) was to sketch a wedding dress design for the Fairy Queen, ruler of the Faeland’s fairies who held the recent Fairy Gala event in NRC’s Botanical Garden.
Ever since Ace, Jack, Ortho, and Silver were discovered by the fae at the event, the Fairy Queen grew enamored by their Fairy Gala outfits designed by Crewel. After the Fairy Gala, the Queen’s representatives sought out Crewel and asked him via translator bell to design a wedding dress for the Queen’s upcoming wedding to the Fairy Lord of Winter.
Crewel, who usually never turned down a challenge or opportunity related to fashion, thought this was an opportunity better suited for his Fashion Design students’ final assignments instead. The student whose sketch design gained the highest marks would be chosen to bring their wedding dress design to life with Crewel’s help. Crewel also emphasized the addition of extra credit points for the student whose sketch design would be chosen.
You didn’t want to pass up the chance to gain extra credit points to boost your overall GPA at NRC. Plus, it wasn’t everyday that one got to design a wedding dress for a Fairy Queen. What you didn’t anticipate, however, was that you’d have problems coming up with a wedding dress design in the first place.
There were just so many options when it came to wedding dress silhouettes, fabrics, and more. Puff sleeves? Tight sleeves? A ballgown skirt? A trumpet skirt? Chiffon? Lace? Tulle??
You wracked your brain, finding it difficult to commit to an idea when there were so many possibilities—the possibilities, not unlike the length of a wedding veil, were endless. Even all the episodes of “Say Yes to the Fairy Godmother’s Dress,” a bridal reality TV series you enjoyed watching with Cater, couldn’t help you think of an idea.
Instead of saying “yes” to a wedding dress idea, your head was filled with “no”’s to all your ideas. You let out another sigh and plopped your pencil down onto the sketchbook. Your eyes shifted to all the crumpled pieces of paper on the floor. I should clean this up.
Littering wasn’t helping you come up with any ideas either, so you decided to give yourself a teeny break and went over to pick up the three crumpled-up paper balls that laid a few feet away from your sewing table. You crouched down, your lips parting to hum a random song that just came to mind.
“Oi,” a voice called to you at the door, making you forget what song you were going to hum. Your eyes shot up to see Leona leaning against the door frame with his ever-so-smug smirk. Rather than one hand propped on his hip as usual, both of his arms bulged with two packaged sandwiches, various snacks, and two carton drinks from the Dining Hall.
You could tell that the smugness of his smirk came from how proud Leona was that he got lunch for the two of you on his own from the Dining Hall rather than Ruggie doing so, even if Leona overdid it a bit.
“Leona,” your face lit up at the sight of him nonetheless, and especially at the sight of lunch. Leona set down all the food at the nearest table, making his way over to you.
Bending down on one knee, Leona picked up all three balls of paper for you. “What’s got you litterin’ like there’s no tomorrow?” The lion beastman raised an eyebrow, his smirk softening into an amused smile as he stood up and threw the paper balls into a nearby recycling bin.
“Uuugh, I can’t think of a wedding dress to design for the life of me.” You joined Leona in grabbing all the food off the table before both making your way to your sewing table. He settled onto the wooden stool next to yours, his knees brushing against yours.
Leona’s emerald orbs settled on the blank paper of your drawing pad. “A wedding dress?” His fingers swiftly unfolded the sand-colored sandwich wrapping paper of a menchi katsu sandwich while you opened a (your favorite meat/veggie/filling) sandwich. The crinkles of the wrapping papers added to your chatting with Leona, making the classroom seem livelier despite it being just the two of you. “Who’s getting married?”
“The Fairy Queen from the Fairy Gala,” you tapped your pencil against your cheek while you held your sandwich in another hand. “She’s getting married to the Fairy Lord of Winter from a neighboring kingdom in a few weeks. She comes from a land of warmth, while he comes from a land of frost. They met last winter and fell in love despite all odds, so the theme Crewel gave us is ‘The Great Union That Defies All Odds.’ But how can I put that into a wedding dress?”
“‘The Great Union That Defies All Odds,’ huh?” Leona sipped his earl grey milk tea box, his thin dark-brown eyebrows knitting together as he pondered over the theme. “To me, that sounds like the impossible being possible.”
You paused your pencil midway before the pencil’s charcoal tip could land on the page. “Wait, you’re onto something,” you set the pencil down on the page and munched on your sandwich. “The Fairy Queen embodies spring, while the Fairy Lord of Winter embodies winter…You’d think nothing could bloom in winter, like their love, but it’s possible. Just like flowers that bloom in winter!”
Without a word, Leona pulled out his sleek ebony smartphone from his school uniform pants pocket and typed “flowers that bloom in winter” into MagiGoogle with one hand while still holding his sandwich in his other hand. You scooted on your stool closer to Leona, your shoulder touching his as the two of you scrolled down a list on MagiGoogle of all the flowers in Twisted Wonderland that bloomed in winter.
“Leucojum, camellias…,” you read the list aloud, none of them screaming “wedding” to you yet. “Wait!”
Leona paused his finger on the smartphone screen. “Did something in the list catch your eye?”
You nodded, leaning in closer to his smartphone screen. “Ornamental cabbage…it says here that the colors of ornamental cabbage grow more intense as the weather grows colder…which could be PERFECT for the ‘The Great Union That Defies All Odds’ theme!”
“I could use the ornamental cabbage as the main material for the Queen’s wedding dress, and have the colors be more vivid at the skirt of the dress like a gradient…,” your voice trailed off as you thought of possible wedding dress design ideas with ornamental cabbage. You finished off your sandwich with a hearty bite, now energized to start designing a wedding dress.
Leona lifted an eyebrow, but his lips quirked into a loving smile at your creativity. “Gotta tell you, herbivore, you know I’m not surprised by many things. But an ornamental cabbage wedding dress takes the cake. The wedding cake, heh.”
“Haha, you’re so punny.” You lovingly rolled your eyes at Leona, who simply winked at you and resumed eating his sandwich. “But now that I’m saying it out loud, ornamental cabbage might not be fitting enough for a queen’s wedding dress. It’s a good start for brainstorming, though.”
Leona finished his sandwich, dabbing a napkin against the corners of his mouth. “Why don’t ‘cha go with camellias? They symbolize romantic love, adoration, devotion, and care,” Leona listed off the symbolism of camellias as if remembering flower language and symbolism were the most casual things in the world.
Those who didn’t know Leona well would never guess that he was well-versed in flower language and symbolism. It was one of those well-hidden hobbies or topics of interest of Leona’s that he shared with you over time, and it added to one of the many things you loved about Leona: his love for the knowledge of topics that related to nurturing the world.
To Leona’s surprise, you brought your right hand up to rest it on top of his left hand—the hand you wanted to hold while you walked through life with Leona. “That sounds perfect.”
Leona slouched in his stool and nuzzled his cheek against the side of your head. His eyelids drooped as the daffodil-yellow afternoon sunlight danced through the glass panes of the classroom windows, adding to the warmth that embraced Leona with your hand on his.
You rested your head on his shoulder, closing your eyes to enjoy the moment as well. The fact that it was just you and Leona in the room, with comfortable silence now between you two as you basked in each other’s company, made a melody bloom from your mouth.
“Mm, mmm, mmm, mm,” You began humming the melody of the song you were going to hum before Leona came in. It was a song known throughout Twisted Wonderland about bringing all species—no matter how great the odds were—together.
Leona’s lion ears flicked at your humming as your lips parted.
“I’m on your side, let’s take this ride.”
Your singing voice possessed a softness to it, yet the lyrics you sang were loud enough for Leona’s ears and heart to hear.
“And together we’re facing the world, doing things nobody’s done before.”
With your right hand still on Leona’s left hand, you used your thumb to draw circles across the somewhat-dry skin of his hand. Your thumb moved upwards to massage his fingers—first his pinky, and then his ring finger.
Before you could massage his other fingers, Leona flipped his hand up so that his palm faced yours, and he intertwined his fingers with yours. His fingers wasted no time in giving yours a firm yet gentle squeeze. The lyrics you sang made Leona think about you—how he too wanted to hold your hand while walking through life with you.
It was your hands, with always the most loving and caring of even the smallest of touches, that helped him gain the courage to want to care for his own life—from the days where you would brush away a crumb from the corner of his mouth with the back of your thumb, to the nights where you would thread your fingers through his mane during the rare times he had trouble falling asleep.
It was those touches from your hands that motivated him to bring to surface and share with you and others his interests, passions, and just anything genuine that Leona thought he had given up hope for or thought he kept hidden painfully well for a long time now.
Because why nurture anything in an endless winter of being overlooked and compared to, with none of his achievements or even actions mattering for as long as he could remember?
His endless winter wasn’t endless anymore, replaced by the blooms of Leona sharing his passions and interests with others (such as teaching you about flower language and symbolism or about the stars, or spending more time with his Magift Club teammates by watching Pro Magift games with them) that led to his experiences over the past year at NRC with those he could now confidently call his loved ones.
While being each other’s most significant loved ones, you and Leona weren’t perfect, and the two of you had your fair share of squabbles from time to time. At the end of any squabble, however, the two of you would always communicate, take each other’s hands, and choose to be part of each other’s lives.
Leona cracked his eyes open, taking in the view that was your hand in his. It was your hands, soft and warm as spring, that never failed to make Leona feel safe, loved, and supported. He wanted his hands to make you feel the same way for the rest of your life.
The first thing you saw when you opened your eyes only a few minutes later was Leona admiring your hand in his. When his eyes shifted to meet yours, you returned his squeeze with your own before gently prying your fingers away from his. “I should get started on my drawing.” You wanted to keep sitting there with your hand in Leona’s, but the lunch period was probably ending soon.
Propping his right elbow up on the table, Leona rested his cheek against his palm and watched you etch light charcoal lines onto your paper.
A low hum rose from his throat. “Mm mm mm mmn.” The light scratches of your pencil against the paper created an odd harmony with his low humming, but your smile at his humming encouraged Leona to keep going.
In a near whisper, he sang the same lyrics you sang to him just moments ago in his baritone singing voice that never failed to soothe you.
“I’m on your side, let’s take this ride.”
To Leona, the lyrics sounded like a marriage proposal disguised in a song. He wondered if you thought that, too, with the way the song came to your mind earlier in the midst of coming up with a wedding dress design for the Fairy Queen.
“The Great Union That Defies All Odds.” It was the theme that symbolized the Fairy Queen and the Fairy Lord of Winter’s love story, but the theme made Leona reflect on your and his love story.
The love story of a human from a magic-less world and a lion beastman from a magic-filled world, where they experience adventures and chaos practically every day on the campus of NRC.
No matter what life threw at you and Leona everyday, the two of you chose to stay by each other’s side.
Hand-in-hand, through it all.
Leona cracked a grin while singing when you parted your lips to join him.
“And together we’re facing the world, doing things nobody’s done before.”
If his relationship with you wasn’t a great union that defies all odds, Leona didn’t know what was.

What's a girl gotta do to get more of that dad!Simon you've been hyperfixating on? 👀👀👀
Ooh bestie I'm SO glad you asked. I was going to post it anyways once I found a good spot to stop. But since you're here I'm ready to share. Thank you for the ask much appreciated
-Dad Simon whose at the toy store nervously trying to figure out what to buy his kid. The daughter he never knew he had until now. It's her fifth birthday and sure he'd had a little nephew before, but what do little girls like? -You at the same toy store to pick up a gift for your neighbor kid's 5th birthday. You see Simon, a big hulking man dithering among the brightly pink splashed aisles and offering to help, but he looks so desperately lost and out of his depth -Simon looking at you this tiny short af woman with bright curly red hair (you've got a Merida wig on, but he doesn't know that). You don't seem intimidated by him in the least when you offer to help and he really just wants to do right by his daughter so he sucks it up and agrees that yes he really needs help picking a gift for his daughter -He awkwardly explains that he's military and hadn't had any idea that he had a kid up until now, but he wants to get her something to make up for the fact that he's been gone.
You purse your lips in thought, "I don't know that there's anything that could make up for absence."
adding quickly when you see the way his expression falls a little, "But if you're not too sure what she likes yet and you still want to get her something maybe get her something that she can hold if she miss you. Like a soft toy and then add something of yours to it so that it's personal to you both. Extra tags if you have them or a shirt or something."
Your voice trails off for a moment and then it's like a light flips on. in your excitement you grab onto his forearm and had it not been for the sheer surprise of how pretty the expression is on your face, he would have flinched. He doesn't like people touching him.
"Do you have time?" You ask almost breathless in your giddiness.
He raised his brows wondering if he should feel apprehensive.
"Don't need to be there till the afternoon."
"Perfect! Let me buy this and I know the perfect place to go."
Somehow he finds himself following you to check out and then over to your car. As you walk you introduce yourself, and manage to extract, "Simon." from him as a response.
"It's a couple blocks down, at the mall. Do you want to follow me in your car or come with me?" you ask popping the trunk and dropping your purchase among the other bags inside.
Under normal circumstances he would say follow, but with the way you're buzzing with energy and just how unthreatening you seem, he agrees to go with you.
The regret is almost immediate when you turn on the engine and nearly burst his eardrums with how loud the music is blaring from the speakers. He flinches and lets out an expletive while you rush to turn the sound to a more palatable level and smile sheepishly at him.
"Sorry. It gets me sometimes too." you laugh at the incredulous look he's giving you, "I like to have a party to up my mood when I'm driving tired."
-You towing the hulking man through the cheery warm yellow entry of the build a bear and waving to a friend of yours whose at the counter. After showing him the basics you leave him to choose and go speak to your friend. -Finally after a while you find him staring at the little section of army uniforms frowning at the green camo uniform. it takes you a second to see that even though he clearly wants to choose it there's something bothering him about it. The American flag patch on the sleeve His accent was clearly English of some sort.
"Is the American flag the only reason you're hesitating?" You ask him quietly. His gaze moves to you when you speak and he nods.
Grinning you pull one off the hook by the cardboard hanger and dig through you purse to find your to go sewing kit. He starts to protest when you immediately go to work using your seam ripper to get rid of the patch.
"There." You proclaim.
"Yer gonna get in trouble." He grumbles, but seems thankful as you hand it to him to go with his other choices.
"It's fine. You're buying it and I know the people who work here. The girl at cash and I went to college together." You gesture over your shoulder at her and when he makes eye contact with her she gives a friendly wave.
-You don't even question when he ends up with a pochacho dog with the army uniform and surprisingly a helmet that has a skull and flames on it instead of the matching army cap. You also hadn't heard the message that was added, but knew he'd done it because he'd leaned down by the station and spoke in his low gruff voice.
Simon on the ride back to his car with the paper bag on his knees glancing at you humming happily and finally getting the courage to ask why you bothered to help him
You glance sideways at him and give a shrug.
"Some dads don't even try. Some kids don't have dads. You clearly want to try and make up for last time. Why wouldn't I want to help?"
He wonders if you had a shit dad too or if what you'd been buying a t the toy store was for your own kid and the father was a piece of shit. It wasn't his business though so he didn't ask. Luckily for him, he doesn't need to.
"Listen. It's not really my business and I don't want to overstep, but just don't make promises you can't keep okay? Since you're military you're probably going to be gone a lot. Kids aren't dumb. They understand a lot more than people give credit for. I think if you really want to have any sort of relationship with her and you don't want her to hate you then be as honest as you can. She deserves that yeah?" There's a slight tremble in your voice that tells him that it's personal.
"Yeah." He agrees and he means it.
When you make it back to his car he lingers trying to think of what he could say to thank you. Because more than anything his daughter meant hope. A tiny spark of hope that he could have a family even after everything that's happened, that he's done. And in his head you've just given him the best chance at not fucking it up. He almost wants to ask for your number.
But he doesn't. He just memorizes your smiling face as you wish him good luck with meeting his daughter before he ducks his head and shuts the passenger door, gripping the bag tightly. He watches your car disappear feeling oddly disappointed to be doing so.

Girlfriend Material
Mini sequel to this
———
Hunter was beyond excited to give Willow his latest creation. He had truly outdone himself this time, consulting multiple books, blogs, and online tutorials. He had pricked his fingers so much that each one was now graced with a colorful bandage to attest to his dedication. Most of it he had done by hand, working well into the night to make sure it was done before the week was over. There was no special occasion that the gift was for, but the anticipated look on Willow’s face was motivation enough.
When Gus left the basement to “get a drink of water” and have Hunter a dramatic wink to signify he would not be returning, Hunter leapt up from the couch to retrieve her gift from his sewing station. When he called her name to show her, her jaw dropped.
“Oh my Titan, Hunter it’s stunning!” Willow exclaimed, jumping from her seat and rushing over to take his creation in her arms. It was the Emerald Entrails signature color, lightweight with a quilted texture and “Park” in large letter across the back and a small bee patch on the end of the sleeve to represent Clover. She admired every stitch, every detail, every part of the jacket an unmistakable indication that it could be made for no one else by her by no one else but Hunter. She slipped it on, unsurprised that it fit her perfectly. “How do I look?” Willow asked sweetly, twirling around like it was a ball gown.
“Perfect,” said Hunter, excited to see her excited. “As always.”
“Oh my Titan, did you hand stitch this?” Willow exclaimed again, looking at herself in the mirror and spotting “Captain” purposely displayed just above her heart.
“Oh, yeah. But, it was nothing.” he lied, it has been one of the most tedious parts of the project. “I still haven’t showed you the best part!”
“Oh! It has pockets?!” Willow gasped as she put her hands in them, feeling like she was on the cover of Flyer Derby monthly.
“Even better.” Hunter said with a smile.
“Double pockets?!” Willow said with a louder, deep gasp.
“No- well, actually kind of,” he laughed. “It’s reversible.”
Willow gasped once more. “Shut up!”
“It’s true!” Hunter said, feeling like he was about to jump out of his skin in the best way. “See for yourself.”
Willow carefully slipped it off, and found the liner was a lighter green the same color as her eyes and littered with white, wide flowers. As she turned it inside out, she saw there was a matching bee patch resting on the opposite sleeve. And it also had pockets! How did a jacket manage to capture every part of her so perfectly?
A true labor of love.
“Hunter thank you so much, I love it.” She lunged forward and wrapped him in a tight hug. “This was so sweet. I’m never taking it off, it’s so comfortable.”
“You’re welcome,” he said, returning her embrace as a wide smile spread across his face. “I’m glad you like it, it was my first time making something with girlfriend material.”
“Wait, what?” Willow asked, taking a step back to look up at him with wide eyes, wondering if she heard him correctly.
“Oh, I wanted it to be extra special so Camila helped me find this fabric, and they had it in two similar colors that both reminded me of you and since I couldn’t decide which one to get, that’s how I got the idea to-.”
“Are you saying my jacket is made of girlfriend material?” Willow cut him off, giving him a playful eyebrow raise. She was able to connect his interpretation of the fabric’s name with her attempt to flirt with him last week. Never had she been so grateful for a misunderstanding.
“Um, yeah? But I don’t know if-.” Before he could finish explaining that that might not be the technical name of the fabric, Willow took him by the hand and was pulling him up the stairs. “Uh, where are we going?”
“I’m going to show everyone my new favorite jacket and I need you to tell them what it’s made of.”

gimme a silly and whimsical hermitcraft or life series headcanon ^_^
I LOVE SILLY AND WHIMSICAL!! I hand you this. You know the hermitcraft cam accounts.. now what if. Theyre all little fairies. Like just little guys. AND! What if. Every hermitcraft season someone is tasked with creating a scrapbook. And its a collaborative effort everyone leaves little notes and puts in pictures or things of importance in it…. I love the idea of creepers being scared of cats and therefore i think. Doc having a slight allergy to them is funny so every time jellie visits he instantly gets sick, even if its just scar hes got cat hair all over him so he has to stand farther away… ALSO ELYTRA ARE SPECIALIZED TO EACH HERMIT THEY ALL HAVE DIFFERENT TYPE OF BUG WINGS AND EVEN DECORATED HEADGEAR LIKE AVIATOR HELMETS!!!!! Hooray okay thats all
Life series umm uhmm whimsical im thinking THINKING! I like thinking about the beyond the border each season theres actually just nothing. And its like a projection an illusion so even though you can get through it its almost like a different reality . And going further gets you sucked in hence the damage and you start to loose yourself in the process. OKAY THAT GOT LESS SILLY SORRY! Uh Skizz is really good at sewing despite the fact that he rips the sleeves off of every garment he receives (he uses the extra fabrics from it for future creations)(and he also likes showing his muscles) Ummm Lizzie making flowercrowns for everyone in the fairy fort alliance as well as friendship bracelets and everyones so used to that routine each session that even when theyre separated they still find comfort in doing that as kind of a reminder or distraction!!! Again more bitter sweet but Bleehhh

Fairytale Rewrite: Sleeping Beauty part 3 (Edited)
His domain, The Valley of Thorns, was not a dark or vial place. In fact, the land was prosperous, and well. He only cursed the child because people ignored him and refused him when he tried to help others. Malleus paced around the throne room curious of the whereabouts of the child. The boy had not been seen since he was born. The throne room was a dark purple color with emerald, green thrown in and green smoke from the back to his throne.
“It’s incredible! Sixteen years he’s invaded me, how does he do it.” Malleus threw himself onto his throne and slumped down, tapping on the armrest. “Are you all sure you searched everywhere?”
“Yes, Great Malleus Draconia-sama! We promise.” Said a gargoyle. Malleus sat up on his throne.
“Very well. Leave me be then. Go search once more!” He looked at his bat “Go search as well. Search for a boy of sixteen and hair of snow. Go now and do not fail me!” Then the purple bat flew off to whoever knew where. “Truly they are disgraces to my kingdom”
And so, for sixteen long years, the whereabouts of the prince were hidden. While deep in the forest, in the woodcutter's cottage, Lilia carried out his mission. He lived without magic as a human, reared the little Prince as his own. He called him Silver named for his unnatural hair color.
All the fairies’ gifts were in the meantime fulfilled; for the prince was so beautiful, and well-behaved and amiable, and wise, all the animals in the forest loved him dreamily. On this his sixteenth birthday, Lilia had planned a party and something extra special as a surprise.
“Hmmm yes. He would look nice in this suit. Or maybe this one.” Lilia spoke out loud at a whisper. He then snapped his fingers, “Oh I should start on the cake and clean a bit too.” He face showed a bright and joyful smile as he thought. “How to get him out of the house for a time…”
The boy walked down the stairs to start the morning. “Well, what’s this father?” Lilia quickly closed the book, turned on his heel and sat on the table.
“What’s, what.” Looking around.
“You're mumbling to yourself and jittery. Are you feeling alright?” Then, an idea popped into Lilia’s head. He let out a cough and slouched a bit. “Oh no. Is it a sore throat? Do we have marshmallow root, or sage?” He looked through the kitchen to find none. “Wait here father. I’ll go get some by the meadow.” The boy then ran out the door basket in hand.
Lilia didn’t waste any time starting on the suit, cake, and cleaning. He couldn’t afford to; he was only one person well fae after all. He grabbed out light blue fabric and sewing supplies. He draped the fabric over a dress form pinning it down and cutting it. Lilia may not be well versed in cooking, but he could sew well enough. He measured the dress form; he stopped and spoke.
“Oh, dear how that child has grown. It seems like only yesterday I brought him here.” Lilia started to tear up a bit. “Just a tiny baby. After today he’ll be a…” He cut himself off. “And I won’t be his father, just a distant memory of times passed… He wiped after his tears with his long sleeves. “But I knew this day would come. But so soon… I’ve been with him and I’ve been all he knew for sixteen years. Such wonderful years of my hundreds. After finishing part of the suit, he moved on to start the cake. He got out all the necessary tools.
“Alright then, first four cups of flour. Then two eggs.” He stopped looking closer at the book. “Fold in gently?” He shrugged and put the eggs in folding the batter. He pressed down a bit and a faint crack was heard. He stopped a had a worried look on him but paid no mind to it. “Yeast… one tbsp” He put his batter covered hand on his lip in confusion. “Oh right tablespoon!” He then licked it off continuing to add sugar, and cinnamon.

Regenerate [Klaus & Reader]
Requested by Anonymous 🙌
You sat in the office, not minding a thing around you. This job was easy compared to how you were raised. Despite looking huma, you were in fact a Beyondian that had two unique powers. The first was looking like the perceived "base form" of people and for the longest time, you looked like a small-ish version of one of Leo's friends. It was one named Reil, someone you met once or twice but never really could talk with.
The other power was complete regeneration. Of course, both powers worked together well, take off an arm and it would morph into whatever type of arm was needed by the person, or creature, you "gifted" it to. But that also meant you were used to being asked for various limbs for a variety of bizarre purposes.
Sacrifice a leg to summon an Eldritch deity? Sure, probably won't work anyways. Operate to have a new, pretty set of lungs for the wealthy business tycoon to keep living? Alright, but give it a week and those lungs will be black as tar because he smokes like a train. Need a hand? Here ya go, fresh off the arm. Just don't expect it to play nice until you sew it on your own stump.
This line of logic was how you found yourself in the care of one Dr. Luciana Estevez. She had convinced you to stick around the hospital for some time and become an organ donor. Something you were quite happy to do since most of the people needing things were actually good people.
Then you met Klaus, and Steven, and Leo. But Klaus had offered you a different kind of job. One where you mostly hung around an office, or the hospital he didn't really seem to care, and help with cases by using your abilities to infiltrate high-risk targets.
It was easy enough. Just prove you weren't huma by ripping off your arm then figuratively bleed them dry of all their information, and assets but you never told Klaus you did this, then bounce when the calvary came knocking. In all honesty, if it wasn't for how your foster parents kept drilling into your head about always helping others you would probably have been doing this long before now.
Sadly, that also meant you had a bad habit of taking colloquial phrases a smidge too seriously. Something no one in the office was truly used to yet. Especially Klaus.
"[Name], if you don't mind." Klaus was holding open the door to the office, "Could you give me a hand?"
You looked over, getting up, and walking right over to Klaus. While he was a bit curious why you were tugging your one sleeve up like that, he didn't say anything either.
Until the loud ripping sound of you pulling your arm off just above the elbow. Klaus couldn't help but stare at the newly opened wound, and the arm sitting in his hand.
"I hope this helps."
You turned to walk off, careful to not drip blood on the carpet as you went to fetch a mop and bucket. At least until Klaus stopped you.
"No, no." His voice was much higher, as if he had ingested helium, "That wasn't what I meant. Please take your arm back [Name]."
Hesitating a little, you held your arm over the open wound. Instead of growing a new arm, the regenerating tissue simply reconnected the appendage.
Clearing his throat and tearing his eyes away from the thin, red line on your arm, "I meant to ask if you would hold open this door. Gilbert and I have several boxes to unload and wheel into the main office. Extra supplies we need to sort. I would also appreciate your assistance with that task as well."
"Oh, okay." You nodded, "Sure. I can do that."
"And please, don't rip off any other limbs."
Klaus wouldn't admit it to your face, but it made him extremely queasy whenever you pulled yourself apart like that. Not to mention just hurt him, in general, to think how common it must have been for you to do so without a second thought.

General tip: "sewing" involves equal measures of measuring, cutting, pinning, and ironing. If you're expecting to just do the sewing part, things will get frustrating, so try to think of all of them as part of the making process.
You can pin your pattern down or weigh it down; commercial patterns often indicate grain direction lines or that a piece should be cut on the fold. Pattern marks are there for a reason, so if you don't know what it means, try to find out. And use something that will wash out to mark your fabric.
Cut the dang notches, they will help you out.
I just learned this one yesterday, but if your machine has a fit and spits a bunch of loops on the underside of the fabric, it's probably a tension issue. You can typically adjust the length of the thread as well as the tension of each stitch, and if you're working on a super thick area, it's naturally going to require a different tension than the thinner areas, so don't be afraid to change things for those thick areas.
Other machine tips:
PUT YOUR PRESSER FOOT DOWN. Lots of newer machines won't let you sew unless you've lowered it, but older machines won't, and it is very hard to sew straight lines free-handed without the aid of the presser foot. It might be easy to forget to move it up and down. Try to remember. It will save you a lot of seam ripping.
Your machine probably has a knob that allow you to manually lower the needle. This is very helpful when starting a seam when precision matters (like if you're making a gusset).
Your machine may have more than one straight stitch, but will position the needle to the right, center, or left. Pay attention to where it is - this will affect whether you're sewing the expected seam allowance or not.
If your machine keeps spasming and you can't figure out why, just try rethreading it from scratch (and I mean taking all of the thread out and putting it back through, not just re-threading the needle)
When it's the beginning of a sewing session or if you've changed the settings on your machine, it's a good idea to test-stitch some scrap fabric before your real project
You will need to replace your needle now and again; needles get blunt and blunt things have a harder time piercing things than sharp ones.
When the going gets finicky on a machine, try hand-stitching
Sewing machines are machines that need maintenance like oil. They are also lint traps. Get comfortable with disassembling the bobbin area of your machine to clean out lint buildups.
Even the best of us have accidentally sewn a sleeve on inside out or done something similar. It can and will happen to you if you're not paying attention, so there's no shame, but do try to spare yourself the extra work and check that the seam looks right and matches the other side before you sew.
re: ironing: Leave it on too long, and you will brown/burn your fabric if you don't melt it. So be cautious.
You can put something heavy over a fold you just ironed and let it sit on top of it as it cools down to finish the job your iron did. That will spare your fingers and help you avoid singeing your fabric.
re: pins: you can iron over glass-headed pins. I don't recommend ironing over plastic-headed pins. They will melt.
Longer pins can be easier to use (this might be different for others, idk).
Pins can come in different thicknesses; thinner pins can be helpful for fine fabrics. But for most things, a pin is a pin so don't sweat it.
As a general rule, when machine sewing, put the pins in perpendicular to the line of stitching. It's much easier to remove pins that way while sewing (compared to parallel pins). You might even be able to stitch over the pins (most of the time you're fine, but if you do this regularly, expect that sometimes the needle will break on you when sewing over a pin).
Err on the side of more pins when you're new. Especially on curves.
My mom taught me to rub a pin in my hair when it's not going in properly - you can get just enough grease on it to help it slide in that way.
Cutting: this might be obvious to most people, but uh...cut on flat surfaces like a table or floor. Lay your fabric flat. It is very annoying and embarrassing to cut your shirt or dress because you were cutting fabric in your lap. It is very annoying to mutilate extra fabric because you cut through more layers than you meant to.
Things I wish I had read in "beginner" sewing tutorials/people had told me before I started getting into sewing
You have to hem *everything* eventually. Hemming isn't optional. (If you don't hem your cloth, it will start to thread. There are exceptions to this, like felt, but most cloth will.)
The type of cloth you choose for your project matters very much. Your clothing won't "fall right" if it's not the kind of stretchy/heavy/stiff as the one the tutorial assumes you will use.
Some types of cloth are very chill about threading, some are very much not. Linen doesn't really give a fuck as long as you don't, like, throw it into the washing machine unhemmed (see below), whereas brocade yearns for entropy so, so much.
On that note: if you get new cloth: 1. hem its borders (or use a ripple stitch) 2. throw it in the washing machine on the setting that you plan to wash it going forward 3. iron it. You'll regret it, if you don't do it. If you don't hem, it'll thread. If you don't wash beforehand, the finished piece might warp in the first wash. If you don't iron it, it won't be nice and flat and all of your measuring and sewing will be off.
Sewing's first virtue is diligence, followed closely by patience. Measure three times before cutting. Check the symmetry every once in a while. If you can't concentrate anymore, stop. Yes, even if you're almost done.
The order in which you sew your garment's parts matters very much. Stick to the plan, but think ahead.
You'll probably be fine if you sew something on wrong - you can undo it with a seam ripper (get a seam ripper, they're cheap!)
You can use chalk to draw and write on the cloth.
Pick something made out of rectangles for your first project.
I recommend making something out of linen as a beginner project. It's nearly indestructible, barely threads and folds very neatly.
Collars are going to suck.
The sewing machine can't hurt you (probably). There is a guard for a reason and while the needle is very scary at first, if you do it right, your hands will be away from it at least 5 cm at any given time. Also the spoils of learning machine sewing are not to be underestimated. You will be SO fast.
I believe that's all - feel free to add unto it.

[MAKE-A-MELUSINE] - A hot new product has hit the market and it's selling out quick! Customizable Melusine plushies for yourself or for a friend, and you can even dress them up! (for an extra charge, of course.)
What better way to dress up a plush than in the style of your loved ones? After finding vaguely magician-like outfits for his two Melusine plushies (of course, meant to be gifts for his siblings), all that was left to complete the outfit were miniature versions of Bogglecat Box and Grin-Malkin Hat.
Freminet gathers smaller, ready-made articles of plushie clothing, making mental notes of his intentions to combine them with spare clockwork parts when he gets home. Both of his arms are full with accessories, the Melusine plushies and plushie-sized clothing, all the while his vision being obscured by the literal mountain he's accumulated in his arms, and he begins to think he's gone a bit overboard as he navigates to the cash register.
It takes but one misstep for the precarious pile of cloth and fiber to pour out of the young diver's arms, and he's already crouched down to collect his items when he notices a figure hovering before him. "I'm very sorry, I should have been more careful," he murmurs nervously, his hands working faster to separate his items from the stranger's, all scattered in a mix upon the floor.
⁀➴ OVERTURE 2024
What better way to dress up a plush than in the style of the Archon you revered so?
This was to be Sara’s fourth attempt, now, the first three still a tad too imperfect for her to be satisfied. While she was good at patching up torn clothing, it seemed that sewing a miniature kimono from scratch had been more challenging than expected. One sleeve longer than the other, the sash too short, or perhaps the patterns not aligning quite right… While some of the issues may have been minute, the Tenryou General nonetheless refused to settle with such flaws.
As Sara stepped up to the counter, arms full with her Inazuma-themed fabrics and accessories, she barely had time to notice the boy beside her with an equally large haul. She had made an attempt to step aside before they could collide, but alas had been a beat too late, plushies and trinkets and cloths alike spilling forward into a chaotic mess.
Ah, she thought then. Were the Guuji here, or even the Bake-Danuki in the forest, they would have mocked her for being too slow.
A frown curled from her lips at the thought of it, bending down on one knee as she gathered every scattered piece without a word. It would be troublesome to take their time and separate everything here, where other patrons were also lining up to pay, so unlike the boy, she’d picked up everything—even his, and even the ones that were already in his thin arms, placing them all on the counter together with her own items.
Before he could ask or protest, Sara set her pouch of mora in front of the vendor, nodding to cover the cost.
“ As apology, ” Stated simply, her tone leaving little room for discussion.
Her gaze lingered on the boy's choice of items as they waited for the vendor to bag everything, eyebrows slightly furrowed. “ Are you… ” she started, sounding nearly hesitant this time, “ by any chance, are you skilled at dressing these plushes? ”

What Is a Coverstitch Machine? Do You Need One?
If you're exploring the world of sewing, you've probably heard of a "coverstitch machine" and might be wondering what it’s all about. Is it a must-have for your sewing room? How is it different from a regular sewing machine or a serger? Don't worry—you're not the only one asking these questions! Coverstitch machines may seem a bit mysterious at first, but they play an essential role in giving your garments that polished, professional finish. Read on below for a brief breakdown of what coverstitch machines are, how they work, and whether they’re worth adding to your sewing room or area:
What Is a Coverstitch Machine?
A coverstitch machine is a type of sewing machine designed specifically for hemming and finishing seams, particularly on stretchy fabrics. It creates professional, durable hems that you often see on store-bought garments, like t-shirts, leggings, and activewear.
Unlike a regular sewing machine, which primarily creates straight stitches, or a serger (overlock machine) that finishes raw edges, a coverstitch machine sews a parallel row of stitches on one side of the fabric and a looped, serged-like stitch on the other side. This results in a clean, stretchable hem that won’t pop or unravel when the fabric is stretched.
The Benefits of a Coverstitch Machine
1. Professional-Looking Finishes
One of the most significant benefits of a coverstitch machine is that it creates a polished, professional finish. Whether you’re hemming a sleeve or the bottom of a garment, the end result looks clean, durable, and store-bought. If you’re planning on selling your handmade clothing, this feature alone might make a coverstitch machine worth the investment.
2. Perfect for Stretch Fabrics
If you work with a lot of stretchy fabrics like knits, jerseys, or spandex, a coverstitch machine is your best friend. Its ability to sew stretchable seams that don’t break under pressure makes it essential for activewear, swimwear, and casual clothing. Unlike a regular sewing machine that may struggle with these fabrics, the coverstitch machine glides through them effortlessly.
3. Faster Hemming
Hemming garments can be a tedious task, especially if you’re doing it with a regular sewing machine. With a coverstitch machine, you can hem garments in a fraction of the time. Its specialized design means that hemming, which usually takes a few steps on a regular machine, can be done in one go with a coverstitch.
4. Versatile Stitching Options
While its primary function is hemming, many coverstitch machines come with various stitch options, such as three-needle or decorative stitches. These extra features allow you to get creative with your projects, adding decorative touches or creating more intricate, detailed hems.
Do You Need a Coverstitch Machine?
Now that you know what a coverstitch machine is and the benefits it offers, the big question remains: Do you really need one?
If you find yourself frequently working with stretchy fabrics such as knits or spandex, then a coverstitch machine might be a worthy investment. It will help you achieve those clean, stretchy hems that regular sewing machines can struggle with. For hobbyists who only work with these fabrics occasionally, however, it may not be a must-have.
Another consideration to keep in mind is if you’re planning to sell or gift your finished garments. A coverstitch machine can help you produce a more professional-looking product, which, in turn, will draw more customers.

A Quick look at: My Universe - Fashion Boutique (Part 2/2)
Part 1 here! Ok, so let's get back into it, We're making a cotton 'glam ' item for a customer, I selected to make a top, and it looks like we have three options:
Most are locked, and only one fits the style, so let's make a peplum: And it looks like we'll have quite a few elements that we can change:
I'm going to be honest, I'd never heard the name 'peplum' used before, so I have no idea how these are supposed to look. I looked it up on Amazon, and most of them have shorter sleeves, so let's try that,
Actually sleeveless looks pretty nice, I think it adds to the glam look, you can change the front and back too, I love the options, but some really don't flow with the outfit's base design well:
(You can change the mannequins colors at any time) I picked sleeveless, but there's still extra rings of fabric left over, even when I tried adding straps. I'm not sure if these would work better or worse with sleeves.. Anyways, I went with a V-shape front, and meant to do a crossback, but switched it to open, and got locked out. On the next page you can choose the material, and color, and prints:
(Full color/brightness slider support for both main/pattern) We're required to use cotton, and I think black, with a faint dark-grey diamond pattern, may give it more of a glam look. So here's the preview:
So the feature is not perfect, but the custom options on hand, beat out some much higher budget fashion games! Alright, now time to finish the design, I just click 'finalize' and...
Umm, what? You want me to measure and cut the fabric? sure, okay, looks easy enough...
Ok, maybe it was because I was playing though a capture card, but I found these a little difficult to control:
The Last one was pretty easy though:
Ok, So it looks like the item creation is composed of three mini-games, Tracing, Cutting and Sewing, You get points for how well you do in each, I'm not sure what these points do, but I do know I am done now.
Apparently, making an item enough times will allow you to master it, so maybe you get more 'experience' from doing it better? Idk
But when you're done, you can present it to the customer:
(wow, yeah, those sleeveless sleeves are REALLY noticeable) They don't have a super dramatic reveal, but you do get to see their reaction to trying it.
The boss says that we'll get a bonus is they really love the item and also mentions that basically anything you create never goes out of stock. So it sounds like this game may be more bases more around just designing clothes rather than managing stock/inventory.
So that's a little interesting difference from style savvy, You unlock items directly, then craft the individual outfits yourself. So there are no brands to unlock instead you can directly spend your in-game currency to unlock styles and accessories:
You can also complete various mission to earn additional medals:
But you can manage the shop in other ways such as dressing the maniquins, and cleaning out the fitting room:
On my second day, I got to experience a full work day, Customers will come in and walk around, Some will ask for a specific item, and if you have it, you can just give it to them:
If you don't have the item, you can craft it for them on the spot as a 'request'.
'Orders' are basically longer term requests, were you can do them later Other customers will see an outfit they like on a maniquin. After trying it on, They'll then walk up to the counter, so you can check them out.
At the end of day 2, suprise suprise! We're now the owner of the shop!
I played a few more in-game days, and not much changed, But looking through the missions, it looks like fashion shows may be an option down the line with multiple locals:
As well as more patterns and materials and templates, so there is a bit more to unlock. Alright, so final thought...
I'd probably be a little disappointed if I paid the full asking price for this: * I've yet to find any hints that we'll be able to design full outfits for customer requests. * Making new items just takes waaay to long, mini-games not fun. (it's a huge part of the game, but just massing 'A' to get zero exp, feels like a better choice than making an item over and over for mastery) * The starting options/patterns feel too limited. * Limited fashion options in general (3 tops,1 jacket, 1 skirt, and 2 pants options?) * Weird graphical glitches with custom clothes * You can't see what you're unlocking until AFTER you spend medals * Hats and shoes are considered 'accessories', and are harder to unlock, and don't offer the same level of customization
--- But At the end of the day, Someone clearly did put effort into this, I still think this game does a few things well: * The few items we do have, and the ones we unlock, offer a good deal of customization items * Not s style Savvy clone, sets it;s self apart with new ideas. * mini-games do not have a 'failure state', yet try to offer at least some form of reward for those who play them --- So at the end of the day, this game does offer some value, I'd argue it's better than a lot of the web based fashion games you'd find online, and it's not filled with ads. As for the Free-to-play fashion games on the app store, this may pale in comparison to some of them, but you also don't have to worry about getting lock out of events/challenges for not buying the premium items, so it may have the edge over some. Regardless, I'd say it's an interesting little experience, I got a few hours of fun from, and even got to create a new version of my Style Savvy avatar:
So if it sounds like something you'd enjoy, maybe wait for a sale, and give it a shot. I may pick it up again to at least see what the fashion shows are like, But I don't think there's really enough in here to keep me playing past that. --- But anyways, Thanks for reading! I had a lot of fun making this, so I hope you had fun reading it as well. As always, all comments, questions, and suggestions are welcome! You literally can't bother me, (unless you go out of your way to be a jerk), so post whatever you want to say!

The thing is though, only dumb, moderately-rich cunts are going to spend that kind of money on a jacket, especially one that dumb. I mean seriously, look at it. The patch placement is haphazard and off-putting, the patches themselves are as dull and cookie cutter as I've ever seen, and what the fuck is up with the jacket itself? Is that flannel with faux-leather sleeves? The fuck even is that?
No, the people this costume is trying to look like (and make no mistake, this is a costume at best) know how to make their own shit. You buy a cheap, tough jacket, maybe cut the sleeves off, and collect band patches, make some for yourself with cloth scraps and whiteout or bleach, and you sew it all on by hand, because sewing machines are expensive and battlejackets are best when they look a bit crap. If you have some extra money, you get your patches from someone with a silk screening kit or an embroidery machine. But not off Amazon, because fuck Bezos.
Not the "people before profit" patch jacket being $449, fast fashion is fucking beyond satire at this point
