Writing Intimacy
i often see writers sharing a sentiment of struggling with writing kiss scenes which honestly bleeds into other portrayals of physical intimacy. i see it a lot in modernized styles of writing popularized by the recent trend in publishing to encourage short, choppy sentences and few adverbs, even less descriptive language. this makes intimacy come across awkward, like someone writing a script or clumsy recounting of events rather than a beautiful paragraph of human connection.
or just plane horniness. but hey, horny doesn't have to be mutually exclusive with poetic or sensual.
shallow example: they kissed desperately, tongues swirling and she moaned. it made her feel warm inside.
in depth example: she reached for the other woman slowly and with a small measure of uncertainty. the moment her fingers brushed the sharp, soft jaw of her companion, eliza's hesitance slid away. the first kiss was gentle when she finally closed the distance between them. she pressed her lips lightly to gabriella's in silent exploration. a tender question. gabriella answered by meeting her kiss with a firmer one of her own. eliza felt the woman's fingers curling into her umber hair, fingernails scraping along her scalp. everything inside eliza relaxed and the nervousness uncoiled from her gut. a warm buzz of energy sunk through her flesh down to the very core of her soul. this was right. this was always where she needed to be.
the first complaint i see regards discomfort in writing a kiss, feeling like one is intruding on the characters. the only way to get around this is to practice. anything that makes you uncomfortable in writing is something you should explore. writing is at its best when we are pushing the envelope of our own comfort zones. if it feels cringy, if it feels too intimate, too weird, too intrusive, good. do it anyway! try different styles, practice it, think about which parts of it make you balk the most and then explore that, dissect it and dive into getting comfortable with the portrayal of human connection.
of course the biggest part comes to not knowing what to say other than "they kissed" or, of course, the tried and true "their lips crashed and their tongues battled for dominance" 😐. so this is my best advice: think beyond the mouth. okay, we know their mouths are mashing. but what are their hands doing? are they touching one another's hair? are they scratching or gripping desperately at one another? are they gliding their hands along each other's body or are they wrapping their arms tightly to hold each other close? do they sigh? do they groan? do they relax? do they tense? are they comfortable with each other or giddy and uncertain? is it a relief, or is it bringing more questions? is it building tension or finally breaking it?
get descriptive with the emotions. how is it making the main character/pov holder feel? how are they carrying those emotions in their body? how do they feel the desire in their body? desire is not just felt below the belt. it's in the gut, it's in the chest, it's in the flushing of cheeks, the chills beneath the skin, the goosebumps over the surface of the flesh. everyone has different pleasure zones. a kiss might not always lead desire for overtly sexual touches. a kiss might lead to the desire for an embrace. a kiss might lead to the impulse to bite or lick at other areas. a kiss could awaken desire to be caressed or caress the neck, the shoulder, the back, the arms etc. describe that desire, show those impulses of pleasure and affection.
of course there is the tactile. what does the love interest taste like? what do they smell like? how do they kiss? rough and greedy? slow and sensual? explorative and hesitant? expertly or clumsily? how does it feel to be kissed by them? how does it feel to kiss them?
i.e. examine who these individuals are, what their motives and feelings are within that moment, who they are together, what it looks like when these two individuals come together. a kiss is not about the mouth. it's about opening the door to vulnerability and desire in one's entire body and soul.

Alpha Gyomei x Omega Reader
When Gyomei heard that an Omega had passed and survived the final selection, he prayed that you would survive and that you wouldn’t die prey to demons
He thought that, while admirable, an omega shouldn’t have to fight
You first met during the Kamado Siblings’s trial. You held tightly to Nezuko’s box and refused to let anyone touch it
Even though he cannot see, he could sense you protecting the box that held the demon. He thought that you must have been mistaken or confused about the demon, you probably thought it was a child, thus you would protect it similar to one
He could hear your growls whenever anyone got too close to you or the box. He was worried about how you would survive against a child demon if you ever faced one
When everyone questioned whether Nezuko would or wouldn’t attack a human you got fed up and walked up onto the engawa and apologized to Kagaya before taking your water container and washing off the scent blocking ointment covering your scent glands and even cut your hand on your blade before opening Nezuko’s box
The Hashira were each stunned and held themselves back when you injured yourself. When Nezuko refused to attack you despite being a bleeding omega, something every demon wouldn’t have thought twice about, Kagaya accepted Nezuko, and you stuck your tongue out at the other Hashira
Gyomei cried when he smelled your blood. He was saddened by your pain
When Kagaya asked the Hashira to take time to train you, Gyomei wasn’t so sure but agreed to do it anyways. After talking with Kagaya, he understood that Kagaya’s intention behind this training was to hopefully help you find a suitable mate so you would hopefully settle down instead of fighting
When you went to train with Gyomei after training with Shinobu, he was worried about what his typical training would do to you. Even though it was harsh, you stuck to it and remained determined to pull through it despite your many failed attempts
When you would train in the river, you saw that there were fish there and decided to catch a few for dinner on occasion
You would gather ingredients and make food for Gyomei and Genya. Gyomei, despite being blind, was actually very skilled in the kitchen, making him your cooking partner
You both would cook together and eat together with the addition of Genya. The poor boy was so flustered to be in such close proximity to an omega
Genya would always thank you but he never looked you in the eye. You kept trying to mother Genya since he was still a young Alpha and hadn’t fully presented yet
You’d often try and nuzzle and give Genya affection to which he’d get flustered and either shut down or run away much to Gyomei’s amusement
If Genya had food on his face you’d try to clean him up only for him to grow flustered and shut down
You’d give Genya tips and teach him a few moves while you both trained. Genya was worried for you but he didn’t know how to show it
Gyomei loved hearing you and Genya get along. Your near constant attempts to smother him like a pup and his adamant refusal that he’s not a pup
In the evenings and at night you’d get tired and snuggle up to Gyomei whilst he meditates or prays, often laying your head on his large thigh and curling up to him. He’d smile and run his hand over your head, giving your scalp a few good scratches before continuing his meditation
He was surprised when you would nibble on his fingers, a behavior often seen in omegas when they’re between the ages of 2-6. It’s often a comforting behavior as well as a familial bonding behavior. He cried realizing that you see him in a familial sense
Gyomei grew very fond of you and secretly prayed that you would allow him to be your alpha. He knows he’s large and has a rather intimidating presence, that’s why he’s always been afraid he would never find a mate
Most people are afraid of his large stature and it doesn’t help that he’s naturally very strong. That’s why he was so thankful to be able to spend time looking after you
When you finished training with him and left for Sanemi, he bid you good luck and farewell. He knew Sanemi could be rough, but he’d never mistreat an omega
Gyomei would miss you and your company

*~Murder Movie Madness~* PT 4
Word Count: 2.5K Pairings: First-year poly minus Ortho and Yuu Warnings: Near-death experiences, Swearing, Me typing out a country accent
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5
Deuce started yelling, scrambling to find a first aid kit when Yuu and Jack entered the house. Sebek quickly guided Jack to the sink, demanding he place his still bleeding arm under the running water and surveying the deep slice.
“When did this happen!? Ace and I got back to the house before you and the killer shouldn’t have even been able to walk!”
Epel kept to the couch, eyes watching Jack in worry as the water kept running red from his arm, “A…Ah stabbed him in the back of the head and he fuckin’ walked it off…”
Deuce comes back from the hall, a large bag in his arms as he rushed over to the sink with Jack and Sebek. The half-fae muttering under his breath that he’ll need stitches.
Ace spoke up, moving to wrap an arm around Epel as the Pomfiore student curled in on himself, “Can we not kill this guy?”
Yuu looked out the window, glaring into the darkness before looking over their friends. Ace and Epel were huddled together on the couch, Epel covered in dirt, small scratches, and had twigs in his hair. Deuce and Sebek were still fussing over Jack, the half-fae now stitching up the beastman with a practiced hand as Deuce waited to wrap it. Jack kept insisting he was fine, but not moving to stop them either.
Folding their arms, Yuu smiles, “I think we're doing pretty good.”
Sebek cut the thread of his stitches after tying them, glaring over his shoulder at the smug-looking human, “How in the grave of thorns are we doing good!?”
“Think about it. We all split up. Sure it was in pairs but even then one of us could have been killed. Hell, it might have been Jack who was gonna get sliced. But here we all are, only mildly diced and bruised.” Yuu smirks, looking to the dark woods from the corner of their eyes, “We're in another lull of action. So now we got time to really think about things and to gather more info on our killer.”
Ace sighed, shaking his head, “We almost die and she’s treating it like we need to level up or something…” His eyes widened and he sat up straight. “We heard Ortho!”
Everyone looked over, surprise in their eyes only for Sebek to remember the moment in the woods, “That’s right! He’s in the town and trying to reach us. He told us to make way to a dock but I’m not sure when he expects us.”
“Then we got time.” Yuu smiled, clapping their hands, “One last split. Sebek and Deuce, you guys look upstairs to see if we missed anything in the other rooms. Epel and Jack, you two chill out here and keep an eye out for the killer. Ace, you and me got the basement. Stay alive guys, this is the mid-way point.”
Everyone groaned, but went to their newly formed pairs. While none of them were as relaxed about the situation, they couldn’t fault their logic in the fact they only had more to learn.
Ace stood beside Yuu, whispering to her, “Where the fuck are we going? This cabin doesn’t have a basement?”
“Oh, trust me, this place has a basement.”
“Holy shit, this cabin has a basement.”
Yuu smiled, pulling the cord of a single bulb light, “I know right?”
It was almost laughably easy to find. Yuu moved to the doorway of the patio, moving the rug to show a hatch door on the floor. Seemingly sealed shut with dirt and time, Ace pulled on the iron ring of a handle while Yuu dug their hoe into the sides of the door.
Down the creaky old wood steps they went, standing in the cramped space among clear plastic tubs, cardboard boxes and funnily enough, old Halloween decorations. A few boxes were filled with nothing but scrap bits of fabric and paper. Though one box yielded a bunch of football items. A varsity jacket, a signed deflated ball, and an old beat up yearbook. The insides were gibberish, a mass of mixed up keysmashs to fill out the pages with a few stray actual names under photos.
Yuu stops at one photo, the teenage boy seeming painfully familiar. They let Ace take the book from their hands, trying to remember where they had seen the teen before as Ace kept looking through the book.
At the back of the album he let out a sound of celebration, finding the whole back page covered with a handwritten letter. He skims it, learning it was a confession of guilt to the disappearance of another boy. How it had only been a prank and things had gone too far. Ace couldn't tell if the man was truly remorseful, but at the very least he admitted to being responsible for the other's disappearance.
...Oh…” Yuu grabbed the yearbook back, flipping through the pages until finding the photo again. They pull the locket out of their shirt, flicking it open and comparing the two men side by side.
“Oh…” Ace nodded his head, eyes looking between the two photos, “The dude who fucked up was your character's dad…ok…great…” He leans back onto the dusty floor, looking up at the old wood boards before turning to Yuu, “I think this movie sucks.”
“Ace! Come on, don't be a dick. We haven't actually watched it and Epel tried really hard to find a scary movie.”
Groaning, Ace rubbed at the back of his neck, “OK, but like…I don't know. I'm bored? Confused? There's supposed to be way more blood in this, I'm sure, but we're just…too good to get killed?”
“I mean…We do have a lot of practice at not dying…” Yuu shrugs.
“...True…” Ace squints his eyes, only now noticing a series of pipes and tubes running along the walls and up into the basement ceiling, “What…What is that? Are those electrical wires?”
“...Naw, those are…those are gas lines.”
“...The stove upstairs is electric; why are there gaslines?”
Yuu smiles, tapping Ace on the nose much to his annoyance, “It’ll be a helpful tool to use later, I think-”
They both jump, looking up to the closed hatch in terror at hearing the muffled sound of Epel shouting.
They hadn't looked upstairs for long that first day. Arriving at the cabin, they located the largest bed, more clothing, and went off on their way. Looking at the rooms in a more thorough manner only made the two students believe it was the right choice.
Sebek groans, flipping another suitcase closed, “Nothing. Again.” He stood, Glaring down at the suitcase, “They didn't even pack the necessities…”
Deuce spoke up, holding a can of aerosol deodorant, “At least they smell good?” He uncapped the bottle, smelling the nozzle briefly.
“Don't spray that.”
“I-I wasn't!” Deuce quickly placed the cap back on the can, looking away from Sebek's stern glare as he threw the can back into the suitcase he got it from. He grumbles, seeing it bounce out of the bag and roll under the bed.
Looking underneath it, his eyes catch a shiny flat object just barely in arm's reach. Straining his fingers he was able to inch what he now saw was a cellphone from a tight wedge between the bedframe and the wall, “Sebek! I found someone’s phone!”
Sebek quickly crowded against him, the two looking at the phone with focused expressions as Deuce swiped through group chats of gibberish and photos of people neither of them knew. Luckily enough, one of the more recent chats was labeled ‘Spring Vacay’. He opened the chat and scrolled up before the two started reading.
A tale of a group of friends all celebrating spring break, saying how amazing it was that they got the island all to themselves and how cool one girl’s dad was for letting them stay the week. She had replied excited as well, sharing brief memories of being there in her youth before her father refused to go back. Another character jokingly chiming in one the ‘urban legend’ of a missing boy who was last seen on the island with his own group of spring break friends. Talk of a tragic accident and a town coverup as the boy’s remains were never found, he was thought to have somehow ran away. However, the boy’s father never bought the story, insisting that the first group of friends had done something to his son and he would never forgive them.
Sebek and Deuce could feel for the man. The idea of potentially your only child going missing, and nothing to give closure sounded heart breaking. But the group of the chat merely mocked the old man, claiming a bunch of kids couldn’t done anything and if they did it was years ago and he should get over it.
Deuce glared at the phone, lip curling a bit as one of the characters started joking on maybe finding the remains and putting them in funny poses for the newspapers, “Oh, great. We’re playing a bunch of assholes…”
“Wait a minute…” Sebek counted through the contacts of the chat, “There’s seven people in this chat…Scroll down to the more recent messages.”
Message after message from the mysterious seventh member had been coming in since early yesterday, each almost frantic in their pleading that someone pick up a phone before nightfall. Deuce was about to tap the icon, hoping to gain more info before the call symbol appeared on the screen.
“AH!”
Sebek shook Deuce by the shoulders, eyes wide, “Answer it!”
Deuce fumbled for only half a second, sliding the icon to answer before speaking into the receiver, “H-hello?”
“Oh, thank the Seven! Deuce Spade, you all need to leave the cabin and make your way down to the dock on the beach!”
“Ortho!” Sebek and Deuce share a brief smile before Deuce spoke back into the phone, “Um, the dock? Is someone there with a boat?”
“I won't be allowed a boat, it seems, until early Monday morning. It’s Sunday night. You all need to remain safe until I can come to rescue you and the movie ends. Go to the dock on the North-” Ortho’s voice cuts out.
Deuce pulls the phone away from his face, clicking his tongue at seeing the drained battery symbol before the phone went dark, “Damn it…But at least we know Ortho is safe and help is on the way-”
The sound of Epel shouting along with the heavy sound of wood splintering coming from downstairs make them turn to the door. Sharing a look, they both jump up, phone in Deuce's hand and rushed back downstairs.
“Ah’m sorry…”
Jack’s ears perk up, looking from the corner of his eye as he and Epel sat with their backs against the front door of the cabin, “Sorry about what?”
Sighing, Epel gestured around and to Jack’s bandaged arm, “For getting us sucked inta this stupid movie, for getting Deuce nearly chopped, for ya gettin' hurt…’s my fault…”
“...I mean…It doesn’t really hurt-”
“Don’t lie to me!” Epel gripped at Jack’s wrist, shaking the appendage as though the beastman had forgotten about his sliced open arm, “That guy basically sliced ya elbow to wrist! Ya were bleeding all over the place when ya got in! Don’t lie and say that didn’t hurt, ya had to get stitches!”
“I’m serious!” Jack looked at his arm, his ears falling back in confusion while his other hand ghosted over the bandage, “I yelled a bit when he cut me, but halfway back to the house, I realized it didn’t even hurt…It was like…Like I was just wearing costume makeup. I didn’t even smell blood and the stitches felt more like pokes.”
“...” Epel pressed closer, both of his hands grabbing onto Jack’s arm and pulling it closer to inspect the blood-spotted bandages. “Wait, really? Ya didn't feel anything?”
“Nope. Then again, this is an interactive movie. They’re supposed to be fun, wouldn’t really make sense if you felt pain during them now that I think about it…We weren’t in any real danger…”
Epel sighed, almost turning into a puddle at the news. He pinched the bridge of his nose before clicking his tongue and looking away, “Ah’m fucking stupid,”
“Epel-”
“No, Ah am. Ah got the wrong movie type, Ah didn’t even try ta make sure it was the one Ah wanted. Ah can’t even fucking walk right because Ah had to be the stupid-”
Jack gripped onto Epel’s shoulder, giving him a single hard shake while he glared at him, “Enough of your whining! You’re not the only person who’d make a mistake like this. I’ve done the same thing with my little siblings before. I was in a Lara the Explora movie when I was supposed to be doing my homework for nine hours once. And…well, none of us really thought about the fact that we couldn’t be hurt in here. It’s basically a hyper-realistic haunted house and we responded to the threat of a jump scare by loading a shotgun…”
Epel sniffled, smiling as he leaned his head against Jack’s shoulder, “Ah mean…We do have a reflex on fighting for our lives the second we feel threatened…”
Laughing along with the smaller boy, Jack wrapped his arm around Epel’s shoulders, “Yeah…I think we all should look into therapy once we graduate.”
They sat there, laughing at their own morbid jokes and feeling their hearts calming. With just the two of them, it was almost intimate. As if it was scripted, the two of them being softly puppeteered to look at each other with a tender love. Before either could stop themselves, Epel had climbed into Jack’s lap and started to press their lips together. Jack’s hands roamed along his body, clawed fingers gently raking along his back and pulling at the strings of his bikini top.
As their lips kissed and panted into each other’s mouths, Epel’s hands run through Jack’s hair, nails scratching against the back of his ears before slipping down his chest. He bit his lip, grinding down onto Jack’s thigh as his fingers started to unbutton the beastman’s pants and slip his hands into the fabric.
It was by pure chance. The glint of a blade flashing just bright enough that Epel looked up and whatever power the movie had over them was broken. His eyes widen, seeing a hulking figure at the window with his arm raised high. His hands grip into Jack’s hair while the beastman kissed along his neck, quickly tilting them both to the side and barely dodging the blade of the machete breaking the small window in the door and biting deeply into the wood surface.
“O-oh!”
Epel scrambled off of Jack’s lap, trying to pull the fumbling beastman away from the door as the killer started to hack at the door to reach them.
“OUT! EVERYBODY, GET OUT, WE GOTTA GO!”
“How the hell did we almost fuck? Why were you in my lap!?”
“Shut up and button yur fucking pants!”
“You unbuttoned them!?”

Boatem, on any given day, was probably gonna be two things:
Obviously, the first was “chaotic.” That surprises no one, yeah? Raise your hand if you’re surprised that Boatem was chaotic.
See? No hands. It's a thing that is known. You got your end crystals and tree wars and mountains going up over night and ravagers raining from the heavens… Boatem was the home-sweet-home of chaos. And it lived there very comfortably.
But the second trait that Boatem had, on every day that end in Y, wasn’t quite as obvious.
It was "secretive."
Hah. Yeah, I see your quirked eyebrow of skepticism. Look buddy, I had a bird’s eye view of the whole thing and I can tell you this for sure: the only reason none of those morons got caught out in their big secrets was that they were all too busy being cartoonishly self-conscious to notice literally everyone else doing the same thing.
That thing being, specifically: pretending to be human.
Yeah. You heard me. Human. Pretending. As in: none of that lot are human in any way, shape, and only occasionally in form.
Take Mumbo for example. Dear old Mumbo Jumbo, my personal nemesis—and also the member of Boatem I got to see up close and personal the most.
Lucky me.
He somehow managed to hide it right under everyone else’s nose, which I can only chalk up to years of trusting friendship mixed with a hilarious lack of awareness. His shapeshifting abilities have never been more unstable than they were in Boatem—maybe it was the chaos bleeding through, or the way that world was a bit unstable even from the very beginning… Either way, he turned into a living potato right in front of all of them and they barely blinked.
A potato.
Night after night I had to listen to him pacing around in his storage room, muttering to himself about how dangerous it was to be a shapeshifter living with a bunch of humans. How he was putting a lot at risk and what fibs he was going to tell to play it off as some sort of joke or prank. I started keeping a scratch tally of how many times he said “Oh dear. Oh dear."
I ran out of space about two weeks in.
But it’s not like any of his neighbors were going to notice anyway. “Living with a bunch of humans,” my big wishbone.
Human. Hah. Right, like “human” Pearl—the alien who ducked her feathery antennae in her hair any time someone came around, who floated around her base like gravity was frickin' optional? Pearl, who nearly got caught with her antennae out every time someone ran past and jumped like a skittish rabbit enough to raise anyone’s suspicions… Except her clueless Boatem pals.
Or “human” Scar, who never even hides his vexy teeth when he grins, but somehow everyone acts like they don’t notice. Maybe he uses some sort of glamor on them—not like I’d know. Magic is ticklish territory for my type. All I know is that for someone who loudly proclaims to be human—a thing no human has ever actually had to do—he didn’t go to much effort to act like one.
And then there’s that Impulse guy. I’m not sure what he is, but the one time he got close enough to peck he nearly roasted my tail feathers. Plus it seemed like all you had to do was say his name and he’d just… show up.
Downright creepy if you ask me. Not like no one ever does. Don't bother talkin' to the guy who has a view of everything for 18 chunks--no, just blame him for your dumb redstone door breaking.
Anyway. The one Mumbo seemed most desperate to hide his “secret” from was… that other one. I don’t even like to say his name, to be perfectly honest with you but I know you know who I’m talking about. The wing-appropriator. The merry prankster. The one who watches you with eyes so dark you never know where he’s looking.
And people say I have beady black eyes.
I don’t even know why Mumbo bothered trying to hide it from Gr… from him. Or why he was trying to hide what he was from the rest of them. Or how they never noticed the extra pairs of wings that would sometimes flutter about, or how he always saw when people were trying to prank him—even if it looked like he was asleep.
But I’ll admit it was hilarious watching them dance around each other like a couple of hens avoiding a creeper—except both of them were hens and they each thought the other was a creeper.
Somehow—somehow—none of them ever noticed the others. Who needs camouflage when you've got friends this oblivious? Anyway, come on—we all know none of them would actually care if they revealed their precious secrets.
I kinda hope they never do, though. Five best friends, none of whom are human, all convinced that they're the only alien-vex-demon-shapeshifter-thing-nonhuman in the bunch?
That's a joke even this bird-brain can appreciate.
#it's 2:30 why am I posting this at such an ungodly hour#hermitcraft#boatem#hermitcraft s8#redwinterwrites#the narrator is that chicken that plagued Mumbo's mountain#if you hadn't already realized lol#just feeling some boatem things tonight#and saw a story prompt that went#“Four roommates are extraterrestrials who... believes the other three are normal humans”#and I got inspired XD#also I just watched like 3 hours of RatsSMP and Oli's voice is in my head#so this chicken has the voice of Oli Oriansound and if you read it with his garbage rat voice it's even funnier lol#boatem village my beloved

I Definitely Just Got Attacked By A Werewolf
CW: the reader gets attacked in this (given the title) but other than that it's just whats in the show already. hope you guys enjoy!
On a late walk in October is where you first meet. The fall crispness had let up one night when you decided to go out. The stars, which were usually quite dim due to the city lights, lit up the night sky with the full moon. The park you were in was secluded enough that it was nearly impossible to hear the cars driving by and the other various noises of the city, it was peaceful.
Until it wasn't. All you heard before you were attacked was a bush rustling and then you were on the ground. You push yourself up and realize that you are bleeding profusely from your stomach.
"HELP!" you yell, "HELP ME PLEASE!"
but you know no one is coming. As you try your hardest to run towards the roads outside the park another sound comes from behind you. When you turn you see a beast, hair covering the entirety of it's body and at least two feet taller than yourself. For a second all you could do was stare at the creature until you finally scream.
It lunges at you and you are able to nearly escape it's claws. You fall to the ground yet again and you know that your life is over. The scratches on your stomach are bleeding more than before and your shirt is turning extremely red. The beast is standing over you at this point, you assume to finish what it's started.
You quickly close your eyes, not wanting to see your doom. But before it can attack, you hear it get thrown. While you want to open your eyes to see what is happening they are just much too heavy, actually everything is heavy.
"Is this how it feels to die?" you wonder.
"Oh you poor precious stupid baby," you hear someone say, "did you get attacked by this beast?"
You try to respond to their question but all that comes out is an unintelligible noise. They move to get closer to you and lift your shirt up to peer at your wounds.
"My love, she is bound to die." another voice says.
"What if we turn her?" the first voice asks, "look at how beautiful she is, I am sure Nandor wouldn't complain."
"uhhhh, yeah that's how I got vampired if you will." you say towards the camera, "mostly everyone has been welcoming. Nadja wants to hang out, like a lot. She likes dressing me up in outfits and honestly, I can't complain. It's fun. Laszlo wants to constantly play me his music so I listen. He's honestly not half bad, but my favorite is when he and Nadja sing together. Well, singing isn't exactly the right word but performing is." You smile to yourself thinking about the song that they had performed last night, which had been suspiciously similar to one of Elvis's songs.
"Colin has tried his hardest to feed off me but after dealing with stupid men for my human life he honestly can't really annoy me much. After many unsuccessful attempts he gave up and sort of just… I don't know. Doesn't anymore. Maybe my confusion over this is feeding him?" you say mostly towards yourself, but what you can't see is the cameras zooming in on Colin standing in the doorway with bright blue eyes. "Anyways moving on, Guillermo was a much tougher nut to crack. He definitely didn't like me when I first got here, that was obvious. But after living here for a few days I understood why he was hurt so badly. After 12 years of service and multiple promises that you would become a vampire you would be pretty upset if they kept turning other people instead of you. I decided to sort of extend an olive branch to Guillermo and I promised him I would turn him myself if it got to that point." You think for a second about what to say next. The only other person you haven't talked about is Nandor.
"Guillermo's master on the other hand is impossible to crack. I honestly don't know if Nandor just doesn't like me much or what but he hasn't ever really talked to me." you continue to tell the camera and crew that are intently listening to you.
The first time you had met Nandor was a few days after Nadja and Laszlo found you in the park. You had just completed your incredibly painful change into a vampire and you all decided to go out to eat. The process left you feeling less than amazing and when you definitely felt like that reflected to your exterior. So when you finally leave your newly appointed room you run directly into Nandor.
"I'm sorry." you tell him looking up realizing just how massive he is.
"It's fine." he says and brushes past you quickly, you wonder why he is speeding away so fast but chose not to think about it anymore.
Later that night, after feeding on your first human, you and Nadja sit on the couch while she braids your hair up into a complex bun while Laszlo sits at the piano playing a soft melody. You feel much better after eating for the first time in nearly a week and you look much better too. You look less sickly and back to normal.
Previously Nadja had come in during your transition to give you company and told you all about the new vampires you would be living with. She told you stories set in the past, hundreds of years before you were born. She asks you about yourself as well, where you come from, what do you enjoy doing, if you are interested in having a threesome with her and her husband, and to be honest the last one throws you for a loop.
Nadja laughs as if she made a joke but honestly you don't think she is really joking. She tells you all about how she will make you the most pretty vampire.
When Nadja is finished with your braid you both walk over to the piano.
"Laszlo?" she asks, capturing the attention of her husband, "What do you think?"
"My darling, it is beautiful. A work of art." he says when Nandor walks in.
"Nandor, what do you think?" she asks him, you both turn to look at him.
"Pretty." he says simply and leaves the room just as quickly as he entered it.
You are honestly confused about Nandor, it feels like he wants to avoid you at all costs but you literally have barely spoken to him. You go to sit back on the sofa and miss the knowing looks that the couple gives each other. ___________________________________________________
Getting used to sleeping in a coffin was difficult. The first few nights were rough being trapped inside until it was nighttime, the feeling like you were going to run out of air (which makes no sense because you can't even breathe anymore), and of course the silence. Before you would sleep with a fan on and now that it's so quiet it's impossible to sleep.
You end up listening to music which turns out to be a horrible idea because your best friend sees that you are online right away, Oscar.
Oscar: um wtf where have you been? Oscar: are u okay? no one has heard from you for like a week? Oscar: is this about kelsey? Oscar: hello?!
You choose to forego any texting and call him instead.
"Oh my god!" he exclaims as soon as he picks up, which of course is not a pleasant thing to hear, "You are alive?!"
"I'm sorry,” you tell him, “I have been busy and shit the last week.”
“You missed all of your classes. What is wrong?” he asks you, “You just disappeared after the party on Friday and Ness said you haven't been back to the dorm?”
“Listen Oscar it's not a big deal,” you tell him, “I just needed to get away from Kelsey and shit.”
“I know that she hurt you but you can’t keep avoiding everyone because of her,” he tells you, “Jesus, we have all been worried about you.”
The burning of the words makes you cry out in pain when he says them and it alerts him right away that something is very wrong with you.
“Okay, what the hell is going on?” he asks you, “You sound like you are in pain. Are you okay?”
“Listen Oscar, it's fine, I'm fine.” you tell him thinking for a second, “I just stubbed my toe.”
“I am having a very hard time believing you.” he tells you matter of factly, “Where are you? I am coming over.”
“NO!” you yell, as much as you miss Oscar it's definitely not a good idea to bring a human around a bunch of vampires when you haven't had a chance to introduce them yet, “Oscar, I will come and see you tonight. How about that?”
“Listen, I am really worried about you right now.” he tells you and you know he is being serious.
“Oscar I promise that I will tell you everything tonight, I just… it's a lot to say on the phone.” you say.
“You promise?” he asks.
“Yeah. I promise.” ___________________________________________________
A few hours later you are getting ready to leave to meet up with Oscar when you are approached by Guillermo.
“Where are you going?” he asks you.
“I am just going to meet one of my friends,” you tell him, “He has been freaking out since last week and I am kinda worried he will call the police if I don’t go see him.”
“Are you sure that's a good idea?” Guillermo asks, “Newly turned vampires don't always have the best control.”
“I wouldn’t hurt Oscar.” you tell him, a little offended that he would think you capable of something like that.
“I just want to make sure you don't accidentally do something that you regret,” he tells you, “If you hurt Oscar would you be able to forgive yourself?”
“No, you are right,” you tell him, “But, I do know someone who could protect someone from a potential vampire attack.”
Guillremo huffs but says “I’ll come with you to make sure you don't kill him.”
“Thank you!” you tell him, hugging him tightly, “I’ll get the rest of my things and we can go! Can you call a taxi? I would feel bad about you going by yourself if I flew.”
When you go back upstairs to grab your jacket and phone you miss Nandor and Guillermo’s conversation.
“Where are you going, Guillermo?” he asks, standing right behind his familiar/bodyguard.
“Master! You startled me.” Guillermo says to the vampire, “We are going out to meet her friend, Oscar. She wanted to tell him that she was okay.”
“Who is this Oscar?” he asks Guillermo.
“I don’t know, Master. I can tell you when I get back.” he promises and Nandor saunters off as soon as you re-enter the room. You of course notice that he has yet again left when you get there. It's kind of frustrating, you have no idea what you did to make Nandor want to avoid you so much. In the last week you have said a total of like five words to him. Most of which have been greets he hasn't returned.
When you and Guillermo leave the house a taxi is waiting on you both. The drive over to Oscar's apartment is about ten minutes away and when you get there you text him. By the time Oscar gets down to let you in you and Guillermo are both waiting at the door, as well as the entire camera crew that follows you all everywhere.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” he asks you, “Disappearing for a week and not responding to anyone? Are you having a manic episode?”
“No, Oscar I promise I am fine,” you tell him, remaining on the porch until he invites you in, “Can I come in?”
“Yeah, of course you can,” he says, “Who is this and why are you filming?”
“Oh this is Guillermo and you can just ignore the cameras,” you tell him, “We really need to talk.” ___________________________________________________
Telling Oscar that I am a vampire was, well, difficult. Guillermo was super supportive and well I definitely needed it.” you say toward the camera. “He didn't take it very well,”
At first Oscar had not believed you, which you had assumed he wouldn't. After explaining how you were attacked by a werewolf and that Nadja had saved you from death he still didn't believe you, even after seeing the large claw marks, which would definitely not heal in a week, he still didn't. So you decided that your only course of action would be to turn into a bat and that definitely freaked him out.
“He’s gonna be staying with us until we know he's not gonna tell anyone.” you explain “That's why Oscar is passed out on the sofa.” The camera moves to zoom in on him.
“He’s my best friend,” you tell the crew, “He was super amazing during my last breakup.” The crew motions for you to continue to talk.
“Me and Kelsey dated for five months until she broke up with me a few weeks ago. Oscar would come over and we would watch movies and eat food.” you say, “Last weekend Oscar finally convinced me to go out to a party and who do I see making out with one of my friends from high school, Kelsey. Anyways after that I left and that was the fateful night in the park.”
“If something happened to Oscar I honestly have no idea what I would do. So that includes accidentally getting himself thrown into a psych-ward for claiming vampires are real.” you lament, “I love him so much, he’s my best friend.” ___________________________________________________
Nandor had been avoiding you, but not for the reason you think he is. As soon as he saw you he knew he would definitely fall for you. Given his track record with relationships the best idea he had was to just avoid you much as possible. He also saw how much you meant to Nadja and Lazla, he didn't want to scare you off then ruin your relationships with the couple. When he had first learned that a new vampire had been brought home he wasn't super excited, but when you ran into each other after you left your room he knew he was screwed.
Never had he seen such beauty as yours. Staying away from you was the best option possible and well that didn't work out very well. Nandor had also overheard your conversation with Guillermo, assuming that Oscar was worried about you because he was your lover. What he didn’t know though was that Oscar definitely was not interested in you, his type leaning much more towards Nandor himself. Nandor is sat in the camera's view and the team gives him the signal to start speaking.
“The new vampire has taken my familiar from me. She has taken him to meet up with someone named Os-car." he says, "Could Os-car be dangerous? I do not know, but what I do know is that I can not let someone with the peasant name, Os-car, hurt her. Nadja and Laszlo would be very… disappointed."
A few minutes later Nandor is peering through the window of Oscar's apartment watching you, to ensure that you are safe. He can also hear your conversation inside with Oscar. He listens as you explain what happened to you and Nandor sees when Oscar doesn't believe you. He also watches as you hike your shirt up to show Oscar the scars from your attack.
When you do lift your shirt Nandor sees how messed up by the werewolf you truly were. Last week, when Nadja and Laszlo had brought you back to the house, Nandor had been told what exactly transpired in the park and he hadn't believed them when they explained how brutally attacked you were, until now. Seeing the scars on your torso had made him upset, so upset in fact that he swears right then he will exact revenge for you. And of course he tells this to the cameras.
"I have now seen her scars and I swear on the 35 wives I used to love that I will get revenge for her. Unfortunately I have no idea where to start." he says to the camera, "I shall search all of Staten Island until I find the beast that inflicted such pain on her." What Nandor doesn't see as he talks to the camera is you carrying Oscar to a taxi. ___________________________________________________
Later that night when you are getting ready for bed Oscar wakes up. Of course he is understandably upset when he comes to.
"You fucking kidnapped me?! What the fuck?!" he asks you, yelling quite loudly.
"Shut the fuck up," you whisper to him and take a seat on the sofa, "I brought you back here because I was worried that you wouldn't exactly be chill about this and honestly you are proving me right."
"Oh yes because kidnapping someone is such a good idea." he says sarcastically, "Why the fuck did you take me here?!"
"Listen, Oscar, I just wanted a little bit more time to explain everything." you tell him and he sits down on the chair across from you, "I know that kidnapping-"
You stop when you hear your name called by the door by none other than a Nandor.
"Are you okay?" he asks you, "I heard some yelling and wanted to check in."
He turns his head to look down the hallway and quickly looks back at you. What you are unable to see is Nadja and Laszlo giving him thumbs up from the doorway of the neighboring room.
"Yeah, Nandor, I'm fine." you tell him sincerely, "Thank you."
"Yes, of course." he says and leaves the doorway to come further into the room and joins you on the sofa, "You have yet to introduce us."
"um… Oscar, this is Nandor the Relentless. Nandor, this is Oscar Garcia." you introduce.
"Os-car it's very nice to meet you," he says, "How did you meet?"
"Oscar has been my best friend since high school, we had a class together our freshman year." you explain.
"What is a 'freshman year'?" he asks, "Why are the men fresh?"
"Master, it's a term for the first year of school when you are in high school or college." Guillermo explains to him.
"Did I ask you Guillermo? No." he says to his familiar, "I asked her."
"It's just what the first year of school is called for high school and college." you repeat essentially what Guillermo just said but Nandor seems much more interested in what you are saying for some reason.
"Yeah, I just said that," Guillermo says under his breath.
"What was that Guillermo?" Nandor asks.
"Nothing, Master." he says.
"Anyways me and Oscar have been friends for about nine years now." you tell him, "Almost a decade."
"That's crazy," Oscar says thinking about the past decade, "She really helped support me when I came out to my family and was kicked out."
"You came out? What is that?" he asks.
"Well Master, it's when-" Guillermo is cut short by Nandor yelling at him.
"I did not ask Guillermo!" he yells furiously.
"It's when you tell people you are part of the LGBT community." you tell him.
"When I came out, my family disowned me." he tells Nandor.
"The LGBT?" he asks, "What is that?"
The next half hour is Nandor asking questions to Oscar. It honestly kind of surprises you how well they get along. This is also the first time that you have heard Nandor speak for this long and honestly he is hilarious. Most of the time he doesn't even realize he says something and it makes him confused on what you are laughing at.
"So why did you bring Os-car here?" Nandor asks you.
"He was worried about me and well when I went to meet him he kinda freaked out about the whole vampire thing." you tell him, "So I took him back here after Guillermo knocked him out."
"Wait, you knocked me out?" Oscar asks.
"That's not important right now," Nandor says, "Why didn't you just hypnotize him?"
"Well I- I didn't think about it," you say, "but anyways I don't want to hypnotize him. I just wanted to make sure he understood."
"Well thanks, that means a lot," Oscar says sarcastically, "I'm so happy you decided to knock me out instead of hypnotizing me."
"Oscar it's not like that," you tell him but he stands up and makes his way out of the room, "Oscar!" He continues to ignore you and leaves the house.

Werewolf!Ghost x Trans!Soap: Sensitve Senses (Smut)
Ghost was already an intimidating guy, standing at six foot four and built like a brick house. The Lieutenants' senses were sharp, seemingly better than laser sharp at that. It didn't take long into being paired with Ghost for Soap to learn that his teammate was different. It became clearer when Graves betrayed everyone that things became clearer to the Scottish male. Soap's arm bleeding from the gunshot wound, making his head feel hazy. He fumbled upon trying to stand only to fall on the rain-soaked ground with a heavy groan. Soap laied there for a bit before slowly getting up. Ghost's thick Manchester accent finally came through the comms channel, asking him how everything was. Ghost kept Soap company as he struggled to make his way to the church.
"It's pishin' it doon out here.." Soap commented.
"Speak English." Ghost groaned back through comms.
"It's rainin' fuckin' hard!" Soap grinned as he spoke back.
"Then say so." Ghost chimes back quietly, doing his best to gauge how well Soap is actually doing.
"I did!" Soap chirps back a smile being heard in his voice.
"Rains good, it'll cover your tracks. Washes away the scent of your blood and you." Ghost responds without thinking.
"My scent??" Soap questioned as he continued to move forward, looking for materials to craft protection.
Ghost wasn't sure how to respond, so he simply told Soap to focus on getting to the church. Soap chooses to say nothing and instead pay attention to his surroundings. Ghost kept thinking of different ways to explain to Johnny that he wasn't human and that instead, he was a werewolf. The more he thought about it, the more he felt it was impossible to explain. Lightly scratching the back of his head, Ghost moved to focus back outside the church. He kept talking to Soap, hoping that the other male would forget. When he finally met up with Soap, he felt bad for making the male swim through the tunnels. The hole in Soap's arm from the bullet looked bad. They would have to get somewhere safe so Ghost could treat his arm properly. They both slid into a pickup truck, and with Soap covering them, Ghost hit the gas.
Ghost drove over the barb wire swiftly, turning the truck around corners and down streets away from the Shadows. The drive to the one place Ghost knew was safe would be several hours away, Alejandro's safehouse. Glancing at Soap, he wasn't sure if Soap would last that long. Despite finding a stim, his teammate looked ready to drop from blood loss and exhaustion. They were barely five miles from the city of Las Almas when Ghost pulled to the shoulder of the road. Johnny looked at the male confused as Simon stepped out of the truck and walked over to the passenger side. Simon said nothing as he grabbed what little medical supplies he had on him and laid them out on the dashboard. It would be enough to buy them time until they reached the safehouse. The wind from the windows being shot out had helped Johnny dry off quicker, letting Simon smell the Scots natural scent.
The smokey smell of firewood graced with the sweetness of brown sugar, a tingeness of copper from the males blood and musk from the male sweating all mixing perfectly. The sweetness made no sense to Simon. It was like nothing he had smelled on a male before. Ghost pulled Soap's sleeve up as much as he could, allowing him access to the wound. As he looked at the bullet hole, Ghost grew frustrated when he saw no exit hole. That meant the bullet was still in his arm, possibly digging deeper with each roll of muscle. Deciding it would be best to dig the bullet out at the safehouse where he had more access to supplies, Ghost began work. Something about Soap drove Ghost's inner wolf wild, so without hesitation or thinking, Simon moved. Lifting the bottom of his mask just enough to show his mouth, Simon leaned in and began licking at the wound. At first, Soap groaned and flinched at the pressure and burn, but then he tried pulling his arm away from the Brits tongue.
A low growl alerted Johnny to stop fighting the male as he worked on clearing the blood away from the wound itself. When Simon pulled away, Johnny was thrown off by the black sclera surrounding the chocolate brown irises. Ghost licked his lips like a predator before focusing on the task at hand, patching Soap up. Soap said nothing as Ghost gently placed gauze on the wound before using electric tape found in the truck to bind it down. Ghost double-checked the patch job before taking a small step back, taking a minute to think of something to say to Soap. The male at least deserved some form of explanation regarding his actions.
"Does this 'ave somethin' to do with my scent?" Soap questioned slowly, piecing things together about Ghost.
"It does. This may come off unbelievable, but I am a werewolf." Ghost said calmly, studying Soap for reactions of disbelief. If anything, it looked as though Soap was thinking back on things.
"No, it makes sense the more I think 'bout it." Johnny explained now, looking at Ghost in a newly found light. Simon says nothing as he just moves back and closes Soap's door before moving back to the driver's seat. Ghost begins driving toward the safehouse once more, the ride becoming silent. At a glance, anyone could tell Soap was lost in thoughts, staring off at the road as they drove. Before Ghost could question Soap as to what he was thinking about, the crispness of the brown sugar in the males' scent grew stronger. Ghost glanced out of the corner of his eyes to see Soap clench his thighs slightly and shift in his seat. Feeling his system rush with the realization that Johnny was becoming aroused.
"Hey Lt, can I ask a strange question?" Johnny asked lightly, squeezing his thighs more to apply friction to his cock. Ghost nodded as he focused his eyes on the road before them.
"If you fuck in your wolf form, do you have a knot than?" Soap boldly asks quietly watching Ghost from the corner of his eye. Ghost stiffened slightly and quickly looked from the road to Soap before looking back at the road. Soap started to snicker at the other males' reaction to the question, as though he hadn't just asked such an intimate question.
"In my werewolf form, yes my uh- my autonomy changes to more canine looking autonomy." Ghost replied, clearing his throat, not expecting such a question from the Sergeant. That brown sugar scent was stronger than the firewood, the sweat, and the blood. Ghost wanted to curse his enhanced senses, but when he could see Soap's hand moving to touch himself through his pants, Ghost couldn't help but feel relieved. Simon continued to take side glances at Johnny rubbing between his own legs softly, in hopes of not getting caught. Simon let his right hand let the stirring wheel and gently rest on Johnny's thigh. Giving a soft squeeze before letting his thumb rub the fabric of the males pants. Johnny moved his hands forward, making a bold move to bring Simon's right hand towards his sex. Ghost took a deep inhale and gently pressed his hand further forward.
He was surprise to not feel the swell of a hard cock waiting for him, instead he felt Soap's pants wetting with slick. It made now clicked to Ghost why Soap had scars at his pecks. It explained the now syrupy sweet brown sugar scent. Ghost softly groaned in pride as he let his hand undo Soap's pants. Johnny lifted his hips and tugged his pants and underwear down enough that Simon had full access to his aching cock. Simon gently pressed his middle finger to Soap's hard cock rubbing slow circles. Johnny gasped and let put a soft moan as he opened his legs further. Simon gently slides his middle finger and ring finger down towards Johnny slick entrance, the fabric of his glove dampening with the excitment. Simon couldn't help but groan when he felt Johnny roll his hips up against his fingers. Ghost gently pressed his fingers in letting them sink down to the knuckle.
"Damn Johnny, the thought of me fucking you and breeding you in my werewolf form got you this eager?" Simon questioned now beginning to pump his fingers in and out of Soap's eager entrance. The males' walls clenching and fluttering with pleasure as the fabric of Ghost's glove provided extra stimulation. Johnny said nothing as Simon worked his fingers in and out of his heat, the werewolfs' finger curling just right. The moans that began leaving Johnny's lips were pure sin, Simon curled his fingers again, eager to hear it more. His thick fingers curled, rubbing and tapping against Soap's g-spot perfectly. The action pulls more and more noises from the male, each one sounding more desperate than the last. Johnny could feel his slick soaking the seat under his ass as his Lieutenant worked him open. Soap let his fingers move to his cock, gently rubbing as he tried to desperately fuck himself on Simon's soaked gloved fingers.
Simon couldn't take it anymore as he pulled the truck to the shoulder of the road once more. He used his left hand to put the truck into park and shut it off. Ghost shifted, so he was facing Soap, gently replacing his fingers with those of his left hand. His tongue licking at his right gloved fingers before fucking his fingers a bit harsher into Soap. Johnny's head tips back as he moans louder, his thighs beginning to shake with pleasure. The Sergeant would be lying if he said he had felt such pleasure and bliss before. His brain short circuiting as he now took in the feral sight of Ghost fingering him. Ghost's honey brown eyes slightly shimmering with unnatural amber hues as his sclera began to turn black once more. Soap's legs fell further open as his pants and underwear fell from his knees to his ankles. Ghost groaned at the beautiful sight, his gloves and seat soaked with Soap's excitement. Ghost could feel Soaps' walls beginning to grip tighter around his fingers, doubling his effort Simon began pressing his fingers up and down. The motion bouncing Soaps' body and drawing more desperate noises from the male.
"That's it, Johnny cum for me. Just like this." Simon praised as he took in the sight of Johnny's blue eyes rolling back. The Scots moans, turning to loud whines and mutters of Simon's callsign as he begins to come undone. His walls milking Simon's fingers with his release as he rides himself through the pleasure. Simon is eager to keep Soap looking so beautiful, so he continues to work him through the pleasure until Soap is mewling for him to stop. Determined to at least make his Sergeant cum once more, Ghost kept harshly pumping his finger into Soap's soaked sex. Johnny couldn't find the words to express the sensation of something building within due to his mind being overwhelmed. The deep pleased rumbling that crept from Simon's throat made the dam break. Ghost felt himself fill with pleasure and pride as a rush of clear liquid squirted against his hand and splattered on the dash. Simon stops letting his finger rest inside of Johnny's dripping sex as the male catches his breath. Simon presses up his mask enough to kiss Johnny's lips softly before moving to kiss on the males' neck. Soap moans softly as Ghost eases his fingers out of him, the males' movements slow and gentle. Ghost gently tugs Johnny to face him, his larger hands opening the males legs more. Before Soap can get words out, Simon lowers himself to lap at the males' sex.
His tongue cleaning away the mess that had been made by the two of them. Soap's thighs twitch and squeeze around Simon's head in overstimulation. Despite the overstimulation, he doesn't push Simon away. He let's the male eat him like a starved man cleaning away his slick and cum with his tongue. Finally lifting himself away, Simon licks his lips as he looks the Soap's blue eyes. Johnny offers a breathless smile that reads greatly of exhaustion and bliss. Chuckling Simon helps the male get dressed before encouraging him to sleep while he gets them safe. With no energy to fight Ghost, he nods, accepting the help in getting dressed again. Once Simon gets Johnny situated, he turns back to the road, turning the truck back on and shifting it into drive. Simon glances every so often towards Soap, seeing the male fall asleep happily. Ghost smirks under he mask before putting his whole focus on the road.

Sibling Saga (part 1/5)
@tmntbestsibscompetiton
Raph and Milo have my favorite sibling dynamic because they're both the eldest of the bunch and feel a responsibility to protect their brothers. Milo feels it strongest as the elder sister (and the oracle), but Raph still has that protective brother inclination he has in the canon. It's a bit reduced though since he doesn't have the pressure of being the oldest and biggest, and being the team leader. With Milo in the picture, Raph is just the biggest.
For Raph, Milo is like...his personal hero. She's strong and kind and always gives it her all to protect them, and Raph wants more than anything to protect Milo back in turn. This is the moment in their childhood that really solidified that for him.
For Milo, Raph is the brother she has the closest bond with. He's her little shadow and someone she trusts to protect their family should she be absent. She adores his bold spirit and how he's unafraid to express his interests and joys. She's also the only one in the family to show any interest in wrestling, so Milo and Raph frequently watch together. Unlike Raph, Milo doesn't have a favorite wrestler as she just enjoys watching the performances and cheering alongside her biggest little brother.
(also, I believe in field-medic!Raph supremacy. He takes the relatively minor/everyday injuries while Leo takes the more in-depth surgical knowledge. If you've got a bad scrape or burn or flesh wound, you go to Raph. If you've got broken bones and potential internal bleeding, you go to Leo)
[fic below cut]
“And stay gone!” Milo shouts, waving her bokken threateningly as the dog runs back down the alley from whence it came.
Her breath comes out in ragged huffs and her left arm stings painfully, but at least the threat is gone.
Exhaling heavily, Milo puts the bokken on her back again and turns back to her brothers. Raph is curled protectively around Mikey, Leo, and Donnie, his spiky shell facing outwards defensively but a noticeable tremble in his shoulders.
“Everyone okay?” She asks, crouching down to them.
Mikey pops out of his shell and nods. “I’m okay.”
Donnie mumbles something Milo can’t quite catch.
"Donnie and I are okay too,” Leo says.
Milo nods. “And you, Raph? You were really taking the brunt of that,” she says, eyeing the sluggishly oozing scratches and the scuffed sections of his shell and shoulders, and a couple of scrapes on his legs from when he hit the ground.
He turns to look her in the eye, about to answer her when his eyes abruptly focus on Milo’s arm. “You’re hurt!”
Glancing down, Milo finds that the aching wound on her arm is a lot more visually distressing than she thought. At some point, the dog had lunged for her face and Milo put her arm up in a rising block to defend. Instead of sinking its sharp teeth into her face, it sunk them into Milo’s forearm. She didn’t think much of it at the time. It hurt, sure, but she could still fight and the threat was still present. So she kept going.
She hadn’t realized it was so deep until now as she watches the blood dribble down her arm, off her fingertips and splatter on the pavement of the alley.
“Oh. It’s okay, Raph. It’s just a scratch,” she says, trying—and clearly failing if her brothers’ expressions are any indication—to hide her profusely bleeding arm.
Raph pivots fully to face her, releasing their other brothers, who are circling, clearly torn between wanting to help and wanting to vomit—mostly the latter in Donnie’s case—though Mikey is visibly on the verge of tears.
Milo hisses a little in pain as Raph pulls her arm out between them to inspect her injury. Her heart breaks a little at the sad whine that comes from her little brother as he gets a clearer look at the damage.
The distant noise of the human city suddenly becomes less distant and Milo is starkly aware of how exposed she and her brothers are.
“Come on. Let’s go!” She hisses, abruptly herding her brothers towards the manhole.
Milo doesn’t relax until all five of them are safely sequestered in the cool dampness of the sewers and out of sight. Leo wastes no time climbing up onto Milo’s back and Donnie onto Raph’s shell with Mikey—the latter a little grumpy about being beat by Leo to his favorite spot, that being Milo’s back.
With the looming danger gone, Milo lets herself relax. However, Raph immediately starts pulling Milo along—thankfully by her uninjured arm.
“Whoa! Raph!” Milo exclaims in surprise.
“We gotta bandage your arm before it gets infected,” Raph stats firmly.
From his perch on Raph’s shell, Donnie nods. “No repeats of The Incident, dear sister,” he declares.
Milo grimaces, thinking of the ugly, puckered scar on her left thigh and the miserable sickness that followed the injury that caused it. Her brothers hadn’t left her side for a month as she’d been bedridden with a high fever, even after she’d recovered thanks to the medicine Dad brought her from the surface.
Admittedly, Milo’s a little surprised they remembered given it was four years ago now, but she’s also quite touched. Still, Milo wishes they wouldn’t worry so much about her. Worrying is supposed to be her job.
Quietly, Milo relents to letting Raph tug her along as Donnie, Leo, and Mikey chat loudly amongst themselves. When they return home, the three youngest dismount from Raph and Milo.
“We’re gonna go tell Dad what happened,” Leo declares.
Donnie goes rigid. “Wait! Leo, maybe Dad doesn’t need to know all of it—!”
He’s gone—Donnie and Mikey on his heels, begging for Leo to minimize their own involvement in the events leading up to their close encounter—before Milo can object, and Raph pulls her towards their designated med bay.
It’s just a small side room, nowhere near as impressive as Baba’s was, but in the years that Milo has lived with Dad, she’s found that none of them need anything near the level that she had with Baba. They’ve got a fairly robust stockpile for dire emergencies like broken bones and cracked shells, but the bulk of their medical supplies are bandages and anti-bacterial salve because that’s most of what they need.
Raph immediately bee-lines for the metal box covered in stickers that sits in the lowest cabinet—well within easy reach for their smaller brothers just in case they need it for whatever reason—and sits on the ground in front of Milo. Silently, she does the same, watching as Raph picks out the salve tube and cotton swabs and gauze wraps from amongst the collection of bandaids and gets to work.
They sit in silence for a while as Raph applies disinfectant and looks over the bite mark on Milo’s forearm.
And then…
“You shouldn’t have done that, sis,” Raph mumbles.
Milo starts. “Huh? Of course I had to do it, Raph!” She protests. “That dog was really mean and it could have hurt you all really badly.”
Raph’s eyes shine wetly. “But you got hurt protecting us…”
“I’m your big sister, Raph,” Milo says quietly as Raph wraps her injury.
“It's my job to protect you. I don’t mind getting a scrape or two out of it.”
His beak scrunches irritably at that, tears spilling from his eyes. “But if you’re protecting us, who’s protecting you?” He asks.
Milo doesn’t have a good answer to that. She doesn’t see herself as someone who needs protecting. She’s supposed to be the one doing the protecting. If there comes a day where that isn’t the case, then that means that Milo isn’t doing her job right.
She’s about to say as much when Raph continues.
“You matter so much to us, Milo. I hate it when you risk yourself like this,” he admits. He wipes his tears on the back of his arm and when he meets Milo’s gaze, it’s with a look of absolute determination. “That’s why Raph’s gonna to protect you right back!”
Milo finds herself chuckling at that. “Okay, sure.”
“I’m serious!” Raph protests, face flushing with his indignation.
“You’ll see! When I’m bigger, I’ll be able to protect all of us, just like you!”
Despite herself, Milo can’t help the warm, fuzzy feeling that blooms in her chest. She smiles fondly at her little brother.
When he wraps her arm, Milo turns the favor right back on him. Raph’s injuries are a lot more superficial than Milo’s but are more numerous. They’re giggling amongst themselves, picking through the selection of novelty bandaids when Dad comes stumbling in, Leo, Mikey, and Donnie shuffling sheepishly behind him.
“Green! Red! Are you both alright?” He exclaims.
Dad doesn’t even wait for them to answer before fretting over them both, looking visibly pained by the deep, still oozing bite wound on Milo’s left arm. Even now, little spots of red peak through the bandage, but not enough to warrant changing it right now. Later, definitely, but it’ll be fine until the bleeding stops completely.
“Oh, Green…”
“It’s alright, Dad,” Milo assures him. “It’s just a flesh wound.”
“Milo…that dog bit you pretty deep…,” Mikey whimpers.
“Yeah! What if you get rabies!” Leo shouts. “Are we gonna have to get you to a human hospital? Rabies is no joke! You’ll die from it!”
Donnie elbows Leo sharply in the side. “Nardo, that dog definitely didn’t have rabies,” he states calmly. “It was just aggressive and poorly trained. Still, our dear sister is at risk of infection. Who knows what that beast put in its mouth before biting her.” Donnie sticks out his tongue at the thought.
Dad exhales shakily and ruffles Milo’s hair, messing up the strands she has tucked behind her green bandana. She laughs, putting up a token protest against the show of affection.
“At least you all are alright,” Dad says.
“Of course we are!” Milo beams. “I’ll always make sure we come home safe.”
Raph shoulders in, pouting. “And I’ll make sure sis comes back too!”
Dad smiles softly, visibly relieved. “I am glad to hear it,” he says.
“Now. You’ve all had a trying day. How about some fruit?”
All five of them cheer, following their dad to the kitchen, and leaving behind the mess of bloodied cotton balls and torn up bandaid wrappers, the ordeal temporarily forgotten.
(But Raph never forgets the oath he made this day. Even if Milo admittedly didn’t take it very seriously, so sure that no matter what happens, her little brother will never have to shoulder her burden of safeguarding their family alone.)

Battle of the Hijabs (Under read more because this got longer than I thought and I started ranting about why representation in media fucking sucks atp and why the TV show Quantico is the worst):
Coming in at number 1, getting the gold: LITERALLY ALL THE HIJABIS IN WE ARE LADY PARTS like the variation in hijabs alone is so beautiful I love it, iykyk, Stream Bashir with the Good Beard. Like very real to life with different styles and personalities, don't you just love when shows actually treat hijabis as real human beings
All the hijabis from every version of Skam (except Italy fuck you)
Goldie is like next bc the actress isn't a hijabi but like I feel like they depicted being a hijabi really well for the most part like with her thinking she wanted to take it off and realizing everything about herself was nice it was very complex and well done imo
Qadri's next cause tbh I liked her style and the fact that she wore al Amira hijabs. I know everyone's like oh those are for little girls or they're ugly but tbh it makes sense bc I feel like being that she's training to be a surgeon and it is very convenient cause who's trying to be calling a code and fight with some chiffon or jersey material?? Not me! (They lose points for that one scene cause you mean to tell me she's only going to use her hijab to stop the bleeding and nothing else?? Come again?? She's in a hospital!!)
Next is Adina from The Bold Type, tbh idk how to feel cause she's a lesbian and played by Nikhol Boosheri and I was excited at the time but tbh some of her choices def had me scratching my head and I feel like they could've did a bit more to showcase her identity ykwim
Marjan from 911 Lone Star cause bro what the hell was the praying scene, did y'all talk to one Muslim? Download the Learning to Pray app on your phone I'll send you a link like be SO FR, then them saying her masjid kicked her out bc her hijab accidentally came off (which happens so much in television) like...again did you talk to anyone, I could see backlash yes but I just *sigh* again which Muslims did you talk to like idk about y'all but a stiff tug or strong wind has tested my hijab before like it happens, we cover back up and move on
Bottom 2 but not thee bottom, Nadia from Elite (hear me out cause the bottom of the list will make sense) obviously its so low because she wore hijab and they had some decent commentary at first, and then removed her hijab, and for Guzman ol racist crusty lip ass like, this who you risking it all for??? GIRL??? Like if Vic Mensa asked to see my hair I'd let him see that and much else (I'M KIDDING, I'd marry him first ok, astaghfirullah) no fr like but it's even that like they made it that she's more confident without her hijab people like her more, like it's obviously same old song like hijab is removed and suddenly liberation like they could've showed it in a more tasteful way if they wanted to but what did I expect from Europeans esp Spaniards like
And coming in Dead Last Raina Amin, tbh girl its not even about you...WHO WROTE THIS. Cause I watched it back in the day cause you know representation but like *pauses before I sip my coffee* hold tf on. Like where to even begin, the cop propaganda? What do you have to prove, cause they tried to get me i would've been like get tf off my porch. Like and the FBI? How did they even recruit the twins? The government watchlist? Blair Imani slid up in the masjid to snitch? I mean, what the hell? And this show had so much talent to be so extremely questionable (and that is putting it mildly). But we're discussing the twins rn. Raina specifically. So it doesn't even stop there. Like so much was wrong, so you mean to tell me she's in love with a man who used to be an IOF soldier, who helped them actively target Palestinian women for God knows what (the show implied certain things), like WTF is this, like everyone wants to talk about her removing her hijab and kissing him but like we have bigger fish to fry, that is like at the bottom of the problem list. Like did we see the man they put her with and she still loved him later EYE. And then two more things and then I'll shut up. Okay so they were working for the Government to infiltrate terrorist cells whatever bc they were going to attack American soil. No mention of how terrorist groups like the ones they're depicting mostly target minority sect Muslims and lead to their deaths that usually go unnoticed by anyone who is not them, Iran and Nigeria, if I remember correctly are where a lot of the casualties are from. I hate propaganda cause its the same old shit like we really pushing the agenda huh? And hijab removal scene again worst part cause you know what I hated after this other stuff cause red flags with major red lights and a bullhorn. But there was something where they had to change their look because their twins but like as one person but one is a hijabi, the other is not. So they were like we have to find a middle ground, someone who's easily targeted because they're muslim but also loose (I'm paraphrasing but you see what I'm saying?) Like fuck y'all. Fuck whoever wrote this. Like from head to toe Quantico is like an absolute clusterfuck of everything terrible people do with hijab characters (not to mention the rest of the cast but that would be even longer) but dead last because like maybe some of the others on this list at least tried if they're not terribly misguided but this depiction is like dangerous, it's a reminder why we don't just get all our info from TV and other fictional narratives, we talk to real people and we learn real things because this is absolute bullshit to say the least
#this is why I'm up at 4 am to think about all of this and I can't just rant to myself like does anyone understand me#random

Kw said Stefan & Caroline were ideologically at odds because he wanted to be human and she wanted to be a vampire and I was like umm maybe you hate them Mr. but just don't spout absolute nonsense.Caroline was a vampire and she was still being the most humane of all humans-raising kids, thinking of starting a school for kids, wanting to get married while Stefan who became human was not only alive despite suffering multiple fatal wounds on consecutive days but was still somehow a human with just a small syringe of cure in his system despite losing lots of blood and in the end had just a scratch on his forehead( 'You're a Harry Potter,Stefan')And then like you mentioned,he went on a revenge mission and got kicked & beaten by a 4000 year old psychic and was still A-okay!I don't know I don't think humans see that as day-to-day activity.
I swear every-time that man opened his mouth after the finale I wanted to throw up because he could not stand the idea of Stefan living and not being with Elena in the finale. So I found the article to re-read it and like he's missing the very key aspect that STEFAN HAD THE CURE FORCED ON HIM! He DID NOT want to be human, he literally feel back into depression because he was human, I swear no one ever actually listens to what Stefan says. Here's what he says to Caroline when they're searching for the woman Ripper Stefan left to die and he has a major attitude with Caroline and she rightfully calls him out:
Stefan: Look, I don't know what to think. I don't know how to deal with what I want or what I thought I was gonna have. I don't know what to do.
Does that sound like someone who's happy he's human?! Even Damon told him to remember all the times he wanted to be human and he was not here for it. I mean we already did the Stefan doesn't want to be human plot in S7 and he said out loud being human SUCKS! He wanted forever with Caroline, he promised her forever "I pledged my life to Caroline forever" 8x07 and when that got taken away he was miserable. He felt like a burden and it took the pep talk from Damon and killing Cade for him to be like it doesn't matter how many years I have left I just want to spend them with Caroline. Being turned into a human was his punishment, that was what he got for choosing to turn his humanity off and killing Enzo and like that's fine, he was a maniac working for Cade but that's what it was punishment!
I don't even understand what he means by Caroline didn't want to take the sure because it wasn't even an option? I mean the cure is probably the most annoying plot device this show ever did and they can't even follow their own mythology about it. And again, Caroline loved Stefan no matter what she still wanted to marry him as a human and it's not like they were the only human/vampire relationship I just...
Honestly Anon I think the fact that Stefan kept bleeding and being put in danger ALL THE TIME as a human showed even more how much the writers did not feel Stefan as human. Stefan always walked head-first into danger and it was like that aspect of him did not work as a human but the amount of times he was HEMORRHAGING BLOOD I truly could not. He was stabbed with a pole, shot, stabbed in the hand and beaten by a 4000 year old psychic. Which like you said resulted in a scratch on the forehead meanwhile he was being kicked where he had been shot and stabbed less that two days ago.
That article also makes it kind of obvious Kevin couldn't care less about the Salvatore school and Julie trying to do the spin-off which is why he especially did not care about that being Stefan's redemption. It's just amazing this guy started two shows left and then came back and expected everyone to want to do what was applicable to the plot when he left. Say what you want about Julie but she's the showrunner who is actually able to make seasons upon seasons of a show and KW keeps getting his shows cancelled after two seasons.
Still endlessly amazing too how Stefan had to die for killing Enzo who showed up in S5 but Damon was absolved for killing Tyler a character who’d been there since the pilot.

Wayward Waters Chapter 15
——————————————————————————
Hello everyone! Chapter 15!
absolute Chaos!!
this Story contains Vore, Dont like dont read.
have fun reading!
and as always Reblogs are appreciated! (Also ASK’s are open so feel free to bother me!)
AO3 Link for those that prefer the layout there;
AO3 Wayward waters
——————————————————————————
I stared in unabashed horror as the thing that could pick up Ronan and me as we were right now in one hand leaned over and put its head close to the bowsprit of the Call Of The Damned, where Cassidy stood.
He did not run, or even flinch as the Kraken Mer got close enough to just bite off a good chunk of the front of his ship.
Cassidy was either very brave or very foolish, perhaps both.
The Kraken lowered itself down until it was approximately on eye level with him, staring directly at him with those weirdly pale Lilac eyes with the weird pupils that almost seemed to slightly glow.
For a moment that seemed to stretch into eternity nobody moved, not Cassidy, not the Kraken, not any of and not even the wind and waves.
Then the behemoth blinked, slowly, at Cassidy and very gently and carefully put its own head against his way smaller one.
It sure was something to see, something where a human wasn’t even the size of half a finger being so gentle.
Then the Kraken drew away, letting go of the ship and slinking back into the crater in the middle, the water making a few waves as it disappeared.
Then it was like it had never been here.
The seawater went back to being weirdly clear and calm, The only difference was the number of shipwrecks that dotted the ground that I now realized had been worked smooth by years of traveling over it.
Not unlike the sunning rock back at the Castle.
I still stood there frozen, staring at something that wasn’t even there anymore.
“I think i have to throw up”
Ronan said from somewhere to my right.
Which, honestly? Fair.
I left him to that for now in favor of Looking for Robin, wherever Jamie had dragged him.
Though there was still blood in my fur and mouth, better wash that first.
So instead of going up the slope I went down to the water, sticking my head in and trying to wash the blood out.
Rinsing my mouth out I noticed that the water here was less salty tasting as in the rest of the ocean, then again blood also tasted salty and I had the taste in my mouth for quite a bit.
Shaking the water out like a wet cat I went back up the slope, where Jamie was already walking up while the others tended to their wounds.
Well Akeem didn’t bleed and he didn’t even look like he had any scratches, he was probably making sure they wouldn’t do stupid shit again.
Walking up I saw that Jamie had not bothered to wash the blood off, and was making rusty red colored footprints on the stone.
Well that was not nice to see, but at least as the blood dried the prints got less defined.
“Jamie, wait for me! Where did you drag Robin to?”
I was beside them in just a few steps and they pointed to a dead tree up on the ridge of the island.
“I told him to go hide behind that!
And stay there until someone went to get him”
“Thank you!”
I ran past Jamie who grumbled something about walking unnecessarily upwards and went back down to where the rest of the Crew was.
Sprinting up the smooth stone I had reached the dead tree in no time, leaning to look around it showed nothing though.
But spotting the bright red mop of hair was not hard, he was just a few paces away looking into a little divot filled with water, surely from the last time it rained.
“Robin! There you are!”
He snapped his head around to look at me, face brightening immediately.
“Dononvan! Is it over? I- uh i did look even though Jamie told me not to, i didn’t think the Kraken would be a mer, is it gone now?”
Of course curiosity would get the best of him, but if the scene with the Mer appearing completely for a bit was all he saw it wasn’t too bad.
“Yeah, i have no idea what the hell happened, but the Kraken is gone, went back into its Hidey hole”
He looked confused at me for a second.
“Where is your tooth?”
Ah, yep, that.
“Uh, i think Akeem has it right now, it got stuck in some wood, don’t worry it’s not bad”
“If you’re sure, what are you gonna do with it?”
“No idea, maybe i’ll give it to Ronan, he’s interested in any biology stuff i think”
Not like I had any use for it now, and hopefully the new one would actually grow in.
Robin just hummend, nodded and stared back into the water for a moment, which I noticed was way deeper than originally assumed, not unlike the hole in the middle of the island.
Shuddering slightly I ignored that in favor of looking at whatever Robin had been watching in the shade of some boulders.
Jellyfish, pulsing with a soft glow as various colors circled through their skin.
Huh, that was kinda pretty,
but nearly all jellyfish stung so better not touch them.
“Do you think that’s the result of magic?
They kinda look like some of Oakley’s crystals”
They really did.
“No idea, but they’re still jellyfish and i have no idea what would happen if you got stung by those, now come on let’s go back i want to leave this island as fast as i can”
He nodded and stood up, immediately trying to climb up my arm from where I had hunched over.
“You got splinters under your ear, want me to pluck them out?”
There were? Well better not shift with things stuck to me.
“If you can yeah, i still don’t know what happens when i shift with things stuck in my skin, and i don’t want to know”
If it stayed the same size while I shrunk I would have quite a problem.
Robin worked quickly to pluck them all out, the tiny pieces of wood feeling like nothing to me.
After he got them out he ran his fingers trough the fur to check if he missed any, the feeling of his way smaller hands brushing trough the fur feeling strangely soothing.
“I think i got all of them, are you gonna shift here or by the boat?”
“Boat, i’m still not sure what the hell happened, or if all the Pirates are gone”
“Mhm”
He climbed up to sit somewhere in my mane, hunkering down and going out of sight.
“M’ glad you’re okay”
He mumbled into my fur and I walked slower for a moment.
“Yeah, so am I, and I’m glad nothing happened to you either”
I resumed walking at a normal pace, though that was still way faster than a human.
Down the slope I could see Ronan, still in creature form, getting absolutely beat by Jamie who used their bird claws to play earring.
Ouch, I knew that hurt.
And he certainly looked like he found that painful.
“What is that? One of Imugi’s friends?”
Came it from my mane and I realized Robin couldn’t see the bracelet from where he was, it being on Ronan’s other arm.
“Ah, no that’s Ronan, somehow” “WHAT? Wait, I thought the bracelet killed people that don’t have that weird gene thing Oakley said?”
“Don’t scream in my ear! But uhh yeah, Apparently he can wear it? Somehow?”
I really had no idea why he was able to put it on, or why he thought it was a good idea to test that in the middle of a Kraken attack.
“Does that mean he’s related to you? And why does it look so weird?
Rowley didn’t look like that at all, more like you than that”
That I could give no answer to, could this even be called Ardua?
Or was it something else altogether?
“I don’t think so? Whatever that is i don’t think its an Ardua, we should ask Oakley about when we can”
Robin hummed in agreement and I watched Ronan try to shake of Jamie like I had done.
Though with way less success.
“Dononvan! Help! How the fuck do i shift back?
Jamie won’t let go of my ear!”
Ah, that was why, he’d only seen me turn INTO an Ardua but not back.
I let Robin jump down from my back and went over to Ronan, Jamie still hanging from his ear.
When they saw me they jumped off, doing a salto and landing on their feet, scampering to Akeem to use him as a perch.
I rolled my eyes at the antics and then showed Ronan how to shift back, his oversized fingers, or flippers? Having a bit of trouble with dexterity.
As soon as he was back to normal alongside me he got slapped behind the head by Imik,
who then went on to put his hands around the poor new shifters neck.
“DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW WORRIED WE WERE WHEN WE COULDN’T FIND YOU? AND THEN YOU’RE JUST DOING STUPID SHIT WHILE SWIMMING AROUND!
ALSO WHY THE FUCK DID YOU THINK WEARING SOMETHING THAT YOU WERE WARNED COULD KILL YOU WAS A GOOD IDEA! YOU NEVER THINK OF CONSEQUENCES!”
I walked backwards a little as Imik ranted at Ronan who just let him, not even trying to remove the hands from his neck and instead opting to just hold his wrist.
“I actually did think of consequences for once! I used the data I got from Donovan and compared it to myself! I don’t know why but for some reason I completely forgot to examine myself at ANY point in the past!
Wild huh? A it turns out eels aren’t so bad a tool to find out if you have more than one heart”
What.
Of course leave it to him to forget to ever examine himself while gushing over every other biological marvel.
Imik looked doubtful and confused at him.
“No wait, i did Chest compressions on you, there was only one heartbeat, the fuck are you talking about?”
“Oh yeah the heart you kickstarted is the other one, i’m pretty sure the first one got fried”
By this point everyone was just looking at him either dumbfounded or sort of disappointed and confused.
Imik finally took his hands away from Ronan’s neck at least.
“You SO owe us an explanation when we are home! What the hell man!
AND we are telling Grace to properly examine you! I can’t believe you managed to weasel yourself out of any proper doctor appointment ever”
Ronan just stood there sheepishly, at least until Imugi waddled on land and started chewing on his sleeve.
“Sorry, but it worked out didn’t it? And this new form thingy is quite cool!
Hey now I could help Imugi tow the boat! Or-”
We left him rambling at Imik and Jamie, who still looked like they wanted to throttle him, and instead went back to the boat.
Akeem was already walking back up the plank, my lost tooth hoisted over his shoulder.
At least he had taken the time to wash the blood off, and whatever else had splattered onto his skin.
“Donovan? Do you think the ship will sail okay?
It’s got a few more holes than before”
True, the pirates had shot at it with not exactly terrible aim.
“Im sure as long as the part that’s actually in the water didn’t get damaged we should be fine, maybe a bit slower now though”
Robin just stared at a piece of broken railing as we walked back onboard.
“I hope so, what now? I mean, the Pirates are, uhh, gone, do we just go home with Rikaad as soon as the Victory Rose is repaired?”
“Honestly? I don’t know, but if they have to repair the ship i’m sure we can get a day to explore at least”
“I hope so, this has been chaotic and so far I haven’t even seen a single seashell!”
Oh right, and I had told Arthur I’d bring him a pretty one.
“Yeah, i’m sure we can find a few, a big ship like that wont get repaired in just one day”
He nodded and climbed up the stairs to the top part of the deck, carefully avoiding the broken railing.
“They really missed most shots huh?
The only things they hit where the door and pieces of the railing”
“They also got the very tip of the bowsprit! Somehow, but the little Flame didn’t come back”
Ah right, the Elmsfire that Jamie had titled as dangerous.
“I’m sure Jamie said that was something called ‘Elmsfire’ and i don’t think the next time we see it will go as smoothly as this one”
Considering how chaotic and dangerous it had already been shortly after the fires appeared I wasn’t exactly keen on having them show up again.
“Aww, it seemed nice, im sure being taken by everyone as some harbinger of doom must get lonely”
“There were more than just one, i’m sure they befriend each other or something”
Though he did have a point in that, maybe the fire disappeared because it wasn’t used to people being friendly?
Whatever the case we had managed to power through this insanity mostly unscathed, missing tooth not counting.
“I hope they do! I find it interesting that Fire can do that!
Hey if there’s fire that can take on such a form what about other elements? Like water! Or air!”
“A water spirit is sometimes called an undine,
or more commonly known as Nixie or Naiad”
I turned confusedly to the voice behind us,
which turned out to be Shalimar.
“How the fuck did you get here?”
She shrugged.
“Got bored on Dad’s ship, and i’ve actually met a few Naiads, they’re pretty playful, and not exactly aware that people need air”
Ah, so they might drown you and not realize, nice.
“Ohh, and what about air spirits? Do earth ones exist?
No wait Dryads are a thing so earth spirits definitely exist”
Shalimar just shrugged.
“Eh, dunno i’m a sailor not a bird, but i think Nymra met one once, uhh i think she called it a Sylph or something, don’t remember”
There really were a lot of unusual life forms out there, Then again magic also existed.
Shalimar jumped back down to the larger part of the deck and went to try and undo the sail, a concerned Imik and Ronan immediately rushing to do it before she could.
It wasn’t long before other boats aimed to leave this place as well, immediately healing for the exit and avoiding the hole in the middle as best as they could.
The Call Of The Damned ignored that completely and just went straight over it, sailing past some smaller boats and out again.
After this people sure would have some questions for him, including myself.
What in the absolute FUCK had been the plan here?
And what if it didn’t go as it should have? DID it even go as it should?
And why could he summon a fucking KRAKEN?
Well he was on an entirely different ship, and likely would not let anyone else on for a while.
By now Jamie had put the boxes back up again to sit on top of them only to get distracted by Akeem asking them to go be lookout.
I sat on the free spot in the middle, not really keen on going near water right now.
Robin sat next to me, staring at the bowsprit as if the Elmsfire he had apparently decided was a friend would show up again.
“… are you okay? I know you don’t like fighting”
Yeah, this was the second time I was fighting in a bigger battle, if one could call this that?
“Honestly? Right now I’m just tired, but I also have too much adrenaline to sleep for the next few hours, and maybe paranoia about what just went down.
As soon as were back home, or just on land i guess, i’m going to faceplant on the next best soft surface and sleep”
Not only that but half of my limbs were pretty achy, though that would go away in time.
“Well, uhh… at least you have quite the story to tell to Fable?
And Arthur, im sure Nea would love to hear it too”
“Yeah Nea would probably love all the parts I hated, I somehow have no doubt she would have planted her giant claymore in one of the Kraken’s tentacles.
Though im sure Oakley will be delighted at knowing there is such a creature out here, fuck knows he might even come here to see for himself”
Oakley would probably even find a way to communicate with it, somehow.
“Yeah, how old do you think you’d have to get to get as big as that Kraken?”
Good question, how big was that thing anyway?
Its entire head had been as tall as my Giant form at least.
“Older than Oakley is now probably, I mean he’s what?
Sixhundred? And still pretty small”
Robin laughed, and then complained as Oakley was still a bit taller than him, at least if the winged bastard wasn’t crouching.
We sat like that for the entire way back to Kariba island, which apparently was the closest inhabited island to Graves keep, just trying to wind down from the stressful day.
Ronan falling overboard with the Bracelet had been a pretty bad scare, and I was still tempted to whack him for that, again.
Though i’d have to tell him to visit us sometime, He was a pretty alright guy, if airheaded.
He also should show the Bracelet to Oakley,
surely this new type of Bracelet would interest him, and maybe he’d know the name of the new creature!
Even though I had found it and it was technically mine, I wouldn’t ask him to give it back.
I didn’t need it, I had my own and I was not keen on being some strange water creature.
And who knew? Maybe my genetics thing wasn’t even compatible with the blue Bracelet, and I wasn’t about to try it.
Oakley surely would know more.
Man that guy would get to hear a wild story, after all it surely was not everyday one came so close to a Kraken.
Though he’d probably go out and see for himself if he could.
The Halcyon parked in its usual spot, which I was actually thankful for as I had no doubt the rest of the island and all the Boats would be very loud by now, people asking what happened and the like.
At this point i really only wanted to sleep, feeling drained of energy, maybe they’d let me crash on their cushioned bench they patchworked somehow.
Robin was looking at all of it with wide eyes, well he had not been here before and this place WAS quite something.
“Wow, so much stuff! And on so little room! I want to explore it!”
“Not today, im sure all the other ships are currently overrun by onlookers that want to know what happened, maybe tomorrow i’m also rather tired”
Robin blinked and then nodded.
“You look tired! Do we have to sleep on the ship?”
“No, these guys have a house, well if you want to call a repurposed cave that”
I pointed at where the door was, noticing Imugi was already waddling up to the little area filled with saltwater.
Robin stared at her, apparently not aware she could go on land as well.
“She’s on land! Wow!”
I had no doubt that he wanted to go up to her, this time properly and not the fleeting time when she’d brought us from the Call Of The Damned to the Halcyon.
“Yeah, you can go up to her if you want, i’m sure nobody will mind”
He squealed in joy and ran down the plank Akeem had put down to get on land, myself following slowly behind as Robin ran out of sight to play with the sea serpent.
Eh, at least with Imugi there he wouldn’t get hurt, and I was too tired to do anything else today.
Pretty sure I was experiencing an adrenaline crash or however that was called.
“You good man? No wait dumb question, you want me to put up a hammock for you?”
I nodded thankfully at Imik who walked ahead to put up said hammock.
At least that way I didn’t take up the cushion bench in their living room.
Walking back into their home it still looked as chaotic as when we left.
And Yamet was somehow in the kitchen already if the sound of sizzling oil was anything to go by.
Well that was fast, ignoring how tired I was as I would have to get up to sit at the table later anyway and peaked my head into the Kitchen.
Yamet was humming and slathering slabs of what might be pork in something that smelled like mustard and then covered them in crumbs.
He then tossed them into a pan filled with oil, all in all it smelled pretty good.
And apparently he had gotten Ronan to peel potatoes, probably as punishment for doing all that stupid shit today.
Deserved.
I sneaked past that to not bother them and went outside down to the little pond area where Imugi had her Fun splashing water at Robin who rather unsuccessfully tried to splash back.
Well that wasn’t fair, grinning, I shifted again back to the Ardua form, stalking around the rock formations like I had seen cats do.
I jumped into the water next to Imugi,
making a wave that was actually effective against her, and knocked Robin off his feet so that he landed in the water laughing loudly.
Imugi squeaked in joy and used her flippers to splash water at me, soaking my fur so that I could just shake myself and get half the water back on her.
Robin had climbed up one of the boulders, laughing and trying to wring his shirt out.
“Well like that I can’t win!”
True, luckily Imugi brought a bunch of large flat rocks over, what they were for i had no idea.
At least until she took a single one into her beak and tossed it in a way that made it skip the entire length of the watery area.
“OHHH! Donovan did you see that? Even i can’t do that!”
Oh great, the Sea Serpent could skip rocks, and she looked rightfully proud of it.
“Yeah i did see, im right here, well i can skip rocks but not as good as that, and she doesn’t even have hands!”
Imugi clacked with her beak and tried to give me one of the stones, which i could neither hold, not even with my teeth as a tooth was missing nor with my paws.
Walking a bit back out of the water I turned back to human size, grabbing my own flat rock from the multitude of pebbles on the wet ground.
I handed a few to Robin as well.
“Here i’ll show you how to do it”
Taking one of the pebbles I put it in my hand and showed Robin how to toss it in slow motion first before letting it skip.
It managed about five times before Imugi snapped it up in her beak.
“Hey! That was a good one! It could’ve gone longer!”
Imugi just made a clicking noise and spat the pebble onto a ledge, taking position between two larger boulders sunk into the water.
Ah, that was her plan.
“Oh I got it, we need to get at least one rock between the boulders while Imugi is there!”
We played that, after showing Robin a few more times how to skip rocks, till someone yelled out that Yamet was done cooking.
Despite trying we lost though, Imugi being surprisingly good at catching small and fast things.
Then again that’s what she was focusing on.
She whistle-clicked proudly at having won and was nice enough to give us a lift to one of the windows, where Akeem immediately tossed towels at us as we entered.
“Yamet cooked, dry off and you can get a plate”
With that he left and I dried the mud out of my shoes, in the end just deciding to take them off and put them against the wall to not track dirt everywhere.
Yamet had really just put the meat randomly on the plates,
each containing about the same amount of meat as well as mashed potatoes which were probably courtesy of Ronan’s help.
As it turned out the crumbs around the meat was just bread, but somehow this was still one of the best meat dishes i’ve had, £ and the mashed potatoes were also okay, especially with the sauce Yamet handed out from a pitcher.
Apparently he had done so so everyone could choose how much they wanted, if any at all.
Smart, and practical in case someone didn’t like it.
Though eating while Having Jamie sitting to my right and once again not using any cutlery to dig in wasn’t the best experience.
They really ate like a feral hog, it was a miracle that nothing got on their sweater somehow.
Probably practice.
After dinner we talked for a bit longer, mostly just cussing at Ronan for being so dumb and reckless.
And then the next thing i knew was that i woke up in the middle of the night in a hammock, huh, must have fallen asleep.
And Akeem must have been the one to drag me to the hammock as I wasn’t sure if any of the others could even lift me.
Where was he anyway?
And why the fuck did i wake up at this ungodly hour?
It was still dark outside, and the moon wasn’t even that high up, so still about two hours till midnight.
Ugh, great.
My brain was foggy, and still tired as well but I felt like I had to get up.
There was something that called me outside, not hearable but still there.
Tired and foggy brained I followed it, it was almost like an invisible thread slowly pulling me outside.
In an almost sleepwalk-like state I went past a sleeping Imugi down the island.
I had no idea where I was going, or even why, just that Something wanted me to go down what would be the ‘root’ of the wisdom tooth shaped island.
The longer one too if i recalled correctly as that was the side the Crew had built their chaos house.
It was eerily quiet too, though that didn’t really register in my foggy brain, not even that there weren’t even any of the nocturnal creatures out and about.
It was only as I got to the very end of the peninsula, a sandy little corner, that I realized I couldn’t even hear the waves, because there were none.
The entire ocean was smooth like a freshly polished mirror, and reflected the starry sky just the same.
It was actually pretty beautiful.
Then something moved underneath the surface of the mirror like water, that I now realized was about as calm as at a Graves keep.
No, exactly like Graves keep, Kraken included as I saw the pearlescent behemoth rise from the water not too far away from me, looking like it was replacing the moon itself.

[ nsfw ] - post-apocalyptic au (mentions of guns, blood, war, fighting for survival) ; probably ooc bakugou because of the setting ; implied/minor shinsou x reader ; smut (18+) (may or may not be exposing my spit kink with this one LOL)
[ word count ] - 7.5k
"y'want me to do it?"
it smells like copper.
when you press your tongue against the roof of your mouth, you taste blood; a preemptive warning for what's coming, what you'll spill. for some reason, the rifle feels heavier than usual today.
"c'mon, what're you waiting for?"
maybe it's because you can't see his face. seems immoral that way. maybe it's because showing your back to someone is a sign of weakness in the world now and everyone knows that; him walking backwards to the safehouse, one arm barely raised in surrender — that's trust. that you won't do exactly what you're planning to do to him.
"gonna let him knock on the front door or what?"
"would you shut up?" you hiss, snapping back to fix your watch-partner with a glare. "i'm trying to focus."
he only raises one eyebrow, lazily gesturing back out to the road where the figure is stumbling along. despite hitoshi's easy facade, you can tell there's a sincerity to his words, even more evident in the tight hand he has around his own gun. he's allowing you the time, the chance to make your own decision, but he's as much a guard to the house as you are.
holding your breath, you look back through the glass reticle and find the man again. the gun aizawa gave you is from before the war, but it'll still take a raider's head off if you aim it right, and it won't be clean about it, either. even from where you're sitting in the watch blind, you have him clear in your sights and all you have to do is rid the tension from your shoulders and ease out your breath and —
the man crumples into the dirt, and stays there. a dusty lump of skin and bone and uncertainty.
when you pull back to look at hitoshi, he ignores you, frowning at the sight. the rusted chair he's half-leaning back in creaks when it hits the floor, screeching as he scoots to its edge to better survey the road. it's been a few days since he's shaved, the skin underneath his sprouting hairs irritated from where he's been scratching.
"this is a trap if i've ever seen one."
"so what are we supposed to do?" you pull the rifle from where it'd been perched on the ledge — something that deepens hitoshi's frown; a finality. "just leave him there?"
("we can't lose our humanity," aizawa told you, both, as you all stood on the screened-in porch, watching eri make dolls from sticks and straw in the yard. it hadn't been long after you joined their encampment, and you'll never forget the way he looked at you. with trust, pleading, that you wouldn't become everything they feared. "or else we'll be no different than the damn machines.")
hitoshi finally looks at you with his heavy, withdrawn eyes, and he looks the same as he did the night he found you in that ditch, all alone and bleeding out. he could have just left you to die on some excuse about not having the room or space or resources to take on another mouth to feed, but —
frustrated, he shakes his head, chasing away his compassion and memory in staunch self-defense. "this is a trap."
it's been a few days since either of you have seen another person this far out west, even longer since raiders have come along and met their own graves. a sweeter aspect to having the safehouse on a hill: you can see anything coming for miles. it gives you all the time you need to prepare for bandits and thugs, the wayward todoroki corporation 'droids that scan this edge of the earth.
you can see anything coming, even the end. and it can see you, too.
you don't argue because his concern is rooted in truth; what little peace you've had is bound to expire. it never lasts very long. people are getting desperate, moreso than usual. aizawa predicts a fourth of the population won't make it without food and shelter and something to keep warm when the next winter hits — which isn't far off.
out on the road, the lump never moves.
"fuck it," you grunt, kicking your chair back as you stand. your rifle strap slips over your head easily, the weight of it grounding as nerves light with unease. "just—cover me."
hitoshi glares, but doesn't move to stop you. "you're explanin' this to shouta on your own."
you shuffle down the rickety ladder, jumping off as soon as you can because you hate the stupid thing. the dehydrated skeleton of a bush snaps when you clamber through it, kicking along dead limbs and branches and thorns until you reach the barren, dirt road.
once you're out in front of the blind, you give a thumbs up and you don't move until hitoshi's light flashes twice, hidden by what remains of an old pine.
even from where you're standing, you can hear the man breathing, wheezing audibly enough that your own chest tightens in response. could be from the storms and their acidic haze, or prolonged exposure to radiation that's started to eat him up from the inside; either way, you don't think it sounds like he has long.
before you can fully approach, the up-close sight of him stops you dead.
half-alive. battle-torn, much more than you expected; your mouth fills with saliva at the dried clumps of blood clinging to one side of his face, crusted over with debris and muck. his right arm is — fucked, to say the least, and he's at least lucid enough to know it, cradling it close to his body as if you're going to steal what's left of it.
only his left eye is open, probably the only one that can still make out a damn thing, and he watches you, half-lidded.
an explosion of some sort; probably set off a mine in that airfield north of here. must have walked near 50 kilometers in this direction, which would explain why he's in such a piss-poor state. rifling through his pockets produces hardly anything, save for some lint and a small folding knife — that you do take, for good measure. not once does he try to stop you (as if he even could), choosing instead to take you in the only way he can.
you sit back to check his ears, and his head moves without fight. maelleable. surrendered. his right one is hard to find, underneath the blood. "can you hear me?" unsurprisingly, you receive no response. probably can't hear a thing. "hey. can you hear me?"
but then — he blinks, twice and slow.
behind you, the nuclear glow of night begins to unravel and you can feel it nipping at your skin; cold and chemical, a fresh burn under running water. another quick flash of light means to hurry you along, but you just raise a hand to hitoshi.
"you can hear me?" your voice drops considerably, to a narrowly audible whisper. the kind you would use with a newborn, or when trying to calm a wounded animal. "blink twice."
he does.
something softens in your chest, something that's long since crusted over. you've become so used to finding the threat in everything, you've forgotten what it looks like to need help, and now it's staring you in the face. carmine and bleary and scared. you can't feel his skin beneath your gloves, but you touch the sharp curve of his brow, wiping away the grime.
"hitoshi," you call, "get the horse. and the stretcher."
aizawa doesn't say anything when you get back. no one does. not even him.
it takes effort to care for him, which you think is the lesson you're meant to learn — the hard way. after he's loaded into the house, the hands that tend to him are your own and no one else's; the water you boil for your own bath goes to him, trying to carefully wash his wounds as he watches you, unchanged; for the first two nights, you give him your rations, until you're so hungry that you have to split them.
he doesn't speak to you. doesn't make any sounds, not besides his ever-present wheeze — which you have to get used to sleeping beside. you give him your sleeping bag, though you don't mind the floor as much as you thought you would.
there are no grunts of pain, not even when you have to peel the tattered remains of his clothes from his arm, just to wrap up the gristle that's still attached to him. he'll probably lose it, if he's lucky, but you've got nowhere near that kind of medical expertise and kayama hasn't been back for a few months. longer than anyone has expected. he'll have to wait, just like everyone else.
there's — little you can actually do for him besides bandaid-ing him together, because you're so afraid of hurting him or making any and all of his situations worse that you take your time. too much maybe. pulling a shirt over his head and squeezing warm water out of a towel down his grisly body and even feeding him; you're hardly able to take care of yourself. doing it for someone else proves to be a challenge. lesson learned, though the regret never comes.
three weeks go by, before he tells you his name.
you're sharing a granola bar and a can of peaches from your own personal stash, enjoying the peace and quiet of the dining-room-turned-barracks. hizashi has been taking your watch shifts and in return you've been helping eri out in the garden, tending to the field behind the house so that you can be close, just in case.
("is he going to die?"
she's afraid of him. you can tell by the careful way she watches him, shallow little breath held whenever you help him to stand for another round of clean bandages. she rotates who she sleeps with because she doesn't have a bed of her own, and since you've given your pillow up to your half-man, she's kept her distance, both when awake and not.
"what?"
she swallowed and turned her attention down to her nails, picking at the dirt underneath them as you tossed another potato into the bucket she was holding.
"him. hitoshi said—"
"i don't care what he said." you barked, harsh and in a way you would feel guilty for later, but it made sure she didn't ask again.)
the right half of his face is completely bandaged up, making him look more mummy than man, and his eye is trained on the spoon of peaches you keep feeding him. he takes it patiently, but there's an eagerness to his bite that has you worrying he's going hungry.
he's much bigger than you; that, you could tell even before you got his clothes off. his shoulders are wide, broad, and the strength they carry couldn't have been born from anything but healthy labor. it's been a long time since you've seen someone so well-fed and it makes everyone seem smaller and more feeble in comparison, has you wondering where he could have possibly come from, before he got nearly blown to hell.
you don't care what hitoshi is saying. that he's questioning everything now.
defiantly, you think that maybe if he'd helped with the wound-washing and bandaging, he'd know how much meat and tissue and muscle lies beneath your half-man's skin. no wires or tracking chips. no metal. just human.
you can't explain why he doesn't cry or speak or even cringe, but emotion is in there, somewhere. maybe next to his hunger and his trust. the sense he has to touch you with only gentle, considerate intent.
a 'droid wouldn't do that. all of you know it, from experience.
"i have to go into town soon,"
he watches you carefully, teeth clicking against your spoon when he closes his mouth around it. food gets shoved into the left side of his cheeks on instinct and it reminds you of some rodent you're sure doesn't exist anymore.
"i'll be gone a few days, but i have enough food squared away that no one should bother you." even if they don't want him here, you know the rest of the house won't put him out, not with you gone — but still; you want to take care of the only tension they could have with him. "i'll leave you my pack if it will—"
"i have to go to kamino."
stunned, you look up at him, spoon midway between the two of you. your half-man stares back, blinking as if he's just woken up from a long and fitful sleep.
"you can talk?"
"yes." his brow furrows, as if your question is irrelevant or maybe stupid. "i have to go to kamino."
"uh," now you blink, trying to picture a map in your mind. the miles stretch on the further you think about it. "i don't think you'll get very far with the state you're in."
he nods, suddenly grim, and goes quiet. retreats to a place that's not here, with you, as his eye glazes over and sticks to the floor. you feed yourself a peach in an attempt to sweeten the sour feeling that bubbles up inside you.
you wait as long as you can before speaking again, until you can't take it. "you'll be moving on, then?"
he turns his head, focuses more on your face with his one eye and — you get the feeling it's the first time he's ever looked at you, really. which you know is stupid because he's done nothing but watch you, but now: alive and aware, he catalogues your face, the dip of your shoulder, a stray scar that's jagged across your collarbone.
assigning it to memory, maybe.
"yes. when i'm better."
you shrug, and try to keep your mouth from curling down like it wants to. "might be a while."
"someone's waiting for me."
it makes you feel bitter, though it shouldn't. as if he's throwing all you've done for him in your face even though he's not.
you feel — overwhelmingly embarrassed at yourself, but it doesn't stop the burn that builds in your waterline.
people are so scarce these days, an endangered species. finding one to tuck into a worn sleeping bag, to rinse the dirt from their hair and help them with their clothes, to become reliant on the white-noise sound of their wheeze — it happened too easily. lesson learned.
your half-man shuffles in front of you, nodding back at to the granola until you're feeding him again. a spell has been broken now, and because he's talked and shown plans to leave, you think he should maybe be feeding himself. but what the hell.
cheek full, he asks, "you know where kamino is?"
again, you picture the map in your mind, frowning at the distance. "it's not close."
"can you take me there?"
you shake your head; whiplash. two days ago, he couldn't stand on his own and now he's trying to lead an expedition half-way across the country. briefly, you picture it: him and you, snaking down the beaten path, avoiding the highways and finding old 100-yen shops to sleep in. using the aisle shelves like a bunk-bed, him on the bottom. wheezing until you're lulled to sleep.
when you look back at him, he's frowning. "i-what? me?"
again he makes that face: furrowed brow, mouth slanted like he can't comprehend your question — or why you've asked it.
"i can't just," you glance back, checking the room for open ears. "i can't just leave them."
"why not?"
"because," now you frown. "they've — been good to me and i don't want to abandon them." you close your eyes and you're in the dark again, being eaten up by ants and the dry, nuclear heat of summer. left to die, all alone. "they saved me."
it's silent for a long time, his voice echoing in your ears now that you've heard it. when you blink back into the here and now, he's just staring down at the floor again, already gone.
"besides," you continue, more eager to hear him speak than you're willing to admit. "i don't even know who you are."
"bakugou katsuki," he murmurs, automatic. his eye flicks to you and — you think it could be glowing, in the low light. carmine, like the burn of a fire. "my name is bakugou katsuki."
you and hitoshi find treasure in a nearly ran-sacked pharmacy; enough antibiotics to last a while, maybe longer if everyone is careful enough to avoid scrapes and burns and scratches. there's a tub of vaseline and a dented can of coffee grounds, something that aizawa will be ecstatic about, even if he doesn't have a half-decent way to use them.
it takes a day and a half to get into town because you only travel at night, and you spend a chilly evening under a crumbling overpass, housed in the rubble. shinsou even shares his beans. all around a win-win, in your book.
it's not until you're on the way back that disaster strikes.
you get comfortable, pig-headed from the weight of the haul on your back, and you cut across a desolate highway in an attempt to shorten the trip. both of you are too eager to get back and share your spoils, and it makes you careless.
hitoshi is in the middle of probing you about bakugou, when aqua lights flash off the failing frame of an old house.
"'m jus' sayin'," he grunts, shrugging. "he's pretty weird, don't you think?"
you don't want to answer him, but his question is so childish that you can't help it. "so are you, but i'm not judgin', am i?"
even in the dark, his wide smile is obvious, and he opens his mouth to retort something that will surely infuriate you when it seems as if the whole sky lights up. you know it doesn't really, but the neighborhood has been nothing but the skeleton of the world before, and to see the light after only traveling in the dark almost has you blinded.
hitoshi grabs you by the arm and you're being dragged through the dirt before you have time to blink. he doesn't have to tell you to keep quiet; you hold your breath, mouth open, tasting only the salt from his palm and your own fear.
the night-cover is meant to protect from raiders and feral animals.
aizawa says that the 'droids are heat-seeking.
aizawa says, "there's no hiding from them."
you're both bent awkwardly behind a mound of rusted scrap metal and old rubber, legs and back folded to better blend in, though you have no idea if you even will, and the light flashes like a heartbeat in the distance. a block or two down, you think, if you're as good with distance as you think you are, and you track the echo of it underneath the remaining war-haze that blocks the stars.
not even a thought crosses your mind as it trails across the horizon, getting further and further away until it stops completely. and then fear sets in like a cold sweat.
during what few run-ins you've had with the todoroki 'droids, they've never just — gone away; they have to be dismantled, head pried from their shoulders. a thick piece of some kind of metal you've never known the name of sits at the base of their skull, soldered beneath their fake, translucent skin, and getting it off is a bitch and a half.
but if you don't, it won't stop. ever.
you have to get out of here, far away before it gets closer and hears the rapid drum of your heart, but — should you run? no doubt it'll hear your footsteps across the ground, every breath that rushes from your lungs, and it'll reach you way before you can get —
hitoshi moves his hand from your mouth and your eyes flick up to his, the direction he points to — south, back to the safehouse — but it's hard to move your limbs from where they've frozen over with cold fear. your hands are shaking, shoulders, too, but you slowly push yourself to your feet, crouching close to him.
he doesn't say anything, and he won't; you've just got to trust him.
it's been so long since you've encountered one. since you've even seen one this far out. you're half a day from the house, but that's still close, in the grand scheme of things. dangerously, your mind dips into dread, imagining the copper smell of your encampment, if they've been found first.
you can't go there. not now.
hitoshi takes low, careful steps away from the corroded junk metal, crossing from dead tree to dead tree as softly as he can, and you follow even as tears well up in your eyes.
all you can see is eri's little face. the last thing you said to her. how shouta gripped hitoshi's shoulders, murmuring something meant for only him.
how bakugou looked, forlorn, on the inside of the porch screen as you headed off into the night.
you can't go there. not now.
walking so close to the ground strains the muscles in your calves and they burn, full of fire and tension, but you trail him as long as you can, for what feels like hours before you're finally out of the neighborhood and back on the barely-trodden trail. it's not until you can stand that you finally breathe — or at least, that's how it feels, with how tightly your lungs have shriveled — and shinsou turns to stare at you, wide-eyed.
"what the fuck!" he whispers, harsh, before pointing to where you've come. "what the fuck!"
"i know!"
"no, not 'you know', this isn't a fucking coincidence!"
all your fear crescendos, crumbles into fury. "what?" you snap back from him as if he's slapped you, teeth bared, feral.
"he's a goddamn infiltrator!" no names need to be said in order for the message to get across. "another fucking hunk of tin!"
"you don't know anything," you say it for nothing, because he won't stop talking over you. "i've had his blood all over my fucking hands, hitoshi! his arm is nothing but a wad of meat and bone, and you'd know that if you—"
"hello."
hitoshi spins around before your argument finishes settling on the air, placing himself between you and the half-crouched figure watching you from the tree line. hands raised in surrender. just like bakugou.
in no time, the both of you have your rifles loaded, staring down the reticle with the stranger's head in your sights.
"i'm alone," the man says, and you see a flash of white hair as he fully stands. the first thing you notice about him, is how immaculate he seems. untouched by the wasteland. "i just need some help."
"back off," shinsou barks, bumping into you as he takes a step backward, urging you to do the same. "turn around and forget you ever saw us."
"i just need some help." he says again — but his eyes glow blue in the shadows, hands clicking beneath his fleshy exterior, and then before you know it, an alarm screams, ringing so high in pitch that you're forced to drop your gun and cover your ears.
it doesn't last long; hitoshi manages to fire his rifle, clipping off half of its head just as it lunges for the both of you. it stumbles to the ground, sparking and zapping as it repeats "i just need some help, i just need some help," over and over and over, until hitoshi is firing down on it again, right at the height of its neck.
the world goes so silent, it hurts; you can feel a deep and thrumming pain in your ear canal, and when you pull your hands from your head, they're wet and dark in the hazy night glow. hitoshi tries to say something, but it's muffled, and then he's pushing you along in the night until you're both sprinting. running as fast and as far as your body will carry you.
it's day, when you reach the house.
aizawa doesn't care half as much about the coffee as he does about the noise you've made, that they heard all the way out here. he toys with his eye-patch, headache apparent on him as he rubs at the vein protruding in his forehead.
he's not mad at you, he says, but you'll have to be on the lookout. for what's sure to come, in the following days. boarding up the house, starting the generators around the property, just for the extra heat and distraction. you'll have to take longer watch-shifts, all of you. even eri.
day-old blood trickles down your shoulders and into the tub, when you dump a bucket of water over your head. it's the first thing you do — try and wash the excursion from your skin — and even though the water is warm and fresh-boiled, you can't stop shivering. digging your fingers into your arms as you hug yourself, head throbbing.
maybe it's because you haven't slept that you still feel like you're in that neighborhood, holding your breath as the neon warning flashes. if you close your eyes, it breathes behind your lids, white-hot and blinding. and your ears —
you barely register the door creaking, eyes snapping open as bakugou peeks his head in.
a fucking infiltrator.
your jaw loses tension as soon as it finds it, has you wincing from the ache, and you close your eyes and turn away from him. he should be able to take the hint. if he's human, then he'll understand how badly you want to be left alone. how badly you need to weigh your options, as the end looms over you all.
something buzzes in your ear, and when you turn to look back at him, he's sitting on the edge of the tub, staring down at the cloudy water.
"what?"
his eye snaps up to your own. aizawa's loaned an eye-patch to him and all his head wrappings are gone, leaving him to look, truly, like a half-man; scar and tissue and pink, with all his tenderness.
another fucking hunk of tin.
("you have to destroy they back of their neck. you have to, eri, do you hear me?"
she looked so young, so tiny, with a gun in her hands.
"they're all connected, and they can all track each other. one after another, they'll keep coming.")
you miss what bakugou says to you again and you shift, angling your head before shaking it.
"can you hear me?" he repeats, and you read the soft words against his lips. "blink twice if you can hear me."
and you do, slowly, leaving them closed as they burn with unshed, nuclear-hot tears.
it makes you jump, when his finger lightly touches your forehead, near your brow, and he watches with simple interest as water droplets collect on his skin. he trails lower, just under your ear, and then his brow furrows. that red gleam returns to his eye, like he's just waking up again.
"y'r bleedin'."
"not anymore," you can feel yourself talking too loud. "it's — fine." you mean for him to move his hand away, but he doesn't. and you don't make him.
instead it goes to your hair, where it's down and plastered against your skin, and he very carefully tucks it behind your ear before angling your head, as if he can see the damage better. he leans close, eye intent on where his skin meets yours.
and you can't take it anymore, as the tears finally run over your cheeks. "what the fuck are you?"
bakugou is half through a wheeze when you ask, and he stutters and coughs and — you just don't know. you can't fucking tell.
how human he seems. how gentle he can be.
how different he is.
"what?" he rasps, signature confusion decorating his half-face. "what the fuck is that supposed to mean?"
"i'll tell them," you seethe, though you don't mean word of it. "if you don't tell the truth right now, then i'll tell them what you are." a bitter laugh huffs out of you and his eyes narrow, annoyed almost. "who am i kidding? they probably already know and are just waiting to take your ass out. as soon as i give the word."
"i don't know what the fuck you're talkin' about."
"don't fucking lie to me," the words are lost to your ears, echoing somewhere in your skull — and even then, you can tell how desperate they sound. his eye tracks a fat, hot tear that slips from your own. "please don't lie."
bakugou doesn't answer, just frowns at your cheeks, and then he moves his hand to stroke the fat of them, gently. as always. he collects the tear on his finger and inspects it carefully, closely, before tasting it with the pink tip of his tongue; you and all your salt.
when he fixes his eye on you — so bright and red and alive — you lurch forward in the water, grabbing his face in your hands before yanking his mouth down to your own.
he grunts, loud and surprised, and he's hardly able to catch himself, hand going flat against the ceramic between your legs. you breathe him in deep through your nose: the subtly sweet scent of his sweat, the bitter fall air that's clinging to his soft skin — decayed leaves and earth and stratosphere, something foriegn and strangely clean.
your lips part his and your tongue slips into his mouth and he gasps lowly, sliding his hand in the water closer to you, moving in to press back against you with just as much hunger. it fans the flames to life in your belly and you drag him further into the water, until he has no choice but to fall in, knee thudding against the tub as he lets out a quiet "ow" against your lips.
you don't care — don't know how or what to care about — and you pull back from him to yank at the bottom of his shirt, stretching it out until he's able to slip it off his head, around the bandaged remnant of his arm with a little more concern; funny, how it's always him that's being careful.
in a world like this one, maybe that really does make him the outlier. maybe that really does mean he's something inhuman.
the thought threatens to make you sick and your lips tremble, scooting closer to hug your face into his warm, toned body as he struggles with the button on his pants. they're soaked and sticking to him and he gives up half-way through, instead moving to cup the back of your head so he can kiss you again. you note that he still tastes like peaches, just as saccharine.
you help him out of his worn jeans — which really is a struggle, thanks to you and your forcefulness — and you try not to be so obvious in your inspection of his dick. on a handful of occasions, you and hitoshi have fooled around and it's always been just like this: desperate. the need to feel skin on skin. to know that you're still alive.
when you wrap a hand around him, he sucks in a breath and groans into your mouth, pressing you back against the tub so he can hike your legs up around his hips. your not as ready as you could be, but you don't even care about that right now; you wet your fingers with your tongue even though you're half in the water and circle the swollen tip of him, watching the lip he digs his teeth into, his eye as it lids, as if he really feels it.
and you want him to really feel it.
the burn is good. the burn is what you want, though the quiet "fuck" he gasps into your ear has you shuddering. bakugou places a clumsy kiss on your cheek, where your tears have dried, and you want to hate him. for what he may be. for how soft he feels, as the water sloshes out onto the floor with every slow grind of his hips.
you want him to fuck you until the ringing is finally gone from your ears — but instead he's careful like he wants this to last, and it only cements something deep in your weary chest, something you might never get out.
his tongue drags across your lower lip until you open your mouth for him and he kisses you deep and messy and wet, so that a thin line of saliva connects you two when he pulls back, and the sight has his hips snapping a little harder. he watches you so intently, hooked on the drop of your mouth, when you tilt your head back to gasp at the ceiling.
"fuck," he hisses again, leaning in to lick a hot stripe up your throat. "y-y'r so—"
you want him to shut up and stop making your heart thunder in your ears, so you press your lips back to his, even if the two of you are just gasping and groaning into one another. there's never been enough time or privacy for anything sentimental and everything between you and shinsou has been quick and wordless, something the two of you hardly acknowledge outside of the moments you need one another.
but this is entirely unfamilair; you can feel yourself growing impatient, a hot desire coiling at the base of your spine as you slip down a little more against the ceramic, to angle your hips up so he can fuck into you hard enough to bring new tears to your eyes. your fingers scrape against the bottom of the tub and he squeezes his eye shut, muffling a long moan into the skin of his shoulder when you clench around him.
his cheeks are warm, you realize, red in the crappy light filtering through the foggy window. flushed, burning with all his blood, and you reach a wet hand up to trace his face, just as he had yours. the action makes him slow, and he angles his head into your palm like a cat, nosing at your dripping fingertips until a small laugh huffs from your nose. bakugou watches you quietly, though a smile ghosts the edge of his lips.
the first one of his you've ever seen.
gently, you slip your fingers under the strap of his eye-patch and he tilts his head so you can pull it loose and —
you don't know what you're expecting: another neon bulb, just like the aqua glow that had tracked you in the dark or maybe a dim light, powered by batteries and wires and his mechanical heart; instead you just find an eye, human and destroyed. cloudy, like the sun behind a post-war haze.
"c'mere," you murmur to him, slipping your ankles up to his shoulders as he thrusts into you shallowly once, stuttering through his breath as he sinks all the way in. you wait until his shoulders are trembling, until you're barely able to speak with the whine in your voice. "i'll—go with you—to kamino."
bakugou nods once, eye so full of something warm and soft and human before he kisses you, punctuating each press of his lips with a harsh rut of his hips. he moves his hand to the edge of the tub, gripping the ceramic so tightly that it creaks before his pace increases, as he drives you closer and closer to the end. one you welcome.
you wrap an arm around his neck and dig your nails into his skin and whisper into his ear, encouraging him; "fuck, yes, katsuki, right—oh—" and he shudders, hardly able to steady himself through your orgasm before his own hits him, has him pulling out late to cum on your half-submerged stomach.
he groans lightly and slumps down onto you, devolving into another lazy, messy kiss as his fingers tangle into your hair. lips sliding against your own, just because, like he can't get enough of it.
bright, aware, alive, he quietly murmurs into the heavy, damp space between you, "don't abandon me."
and you fear that you couldn't even if you tried.
two days trail by in charged silence.
eyes are open at all times in the house, ears, too, as the quite invites itself into every nook and cranny. at times you catch even bakugou holding his breath, muting his still lingering wheeze; it's not getting any better, and you hate to think of what that means, but it's not getting any worse, either, and so you take that for what it is.
he becomes — touchy, obviously so. always feeling you in some way; fingers trailing up the inside of your arm or tucking strays behind your ear, thumbing your lobe gently, as if he's afraid to worsen the damage you're still healing from. you share the sleeping bag and he sleeps with his nose in your hair, breath against the nape of your neck.
sometimes he lays with his head on your chest, just listening to the drum of your heart.
hitoshi doesn't speak to you. hardly looks, with bakugou by your side — and he always is. you can't tell if he's still angry or if it's dissolved into something worse; a wound eating up his skin. the silence from him makes you feel guilty, as if there are sides now and you've picked the wrong one. betrayed him somehow.
the remorse never lasts long though, not when bakugou is following close behind you to the barn out back, sighing into your mouth and hugging your body to his, tight, like he wants to breathe through you.
he's very touchy. eager, as if this is something he hasn't had before.
you suppose you haven't either. not like this.
you're coming out of (what used to be) the kitchen when you see it. brushing tangles out of your hair with your fingers, distracted by the shape of his silhouette in the front of the window.
he's peeking through the boards, always on high alert as aizawa has instructed him to be. his back is to you and you count the crescents you've left on his skin, frowning at how easily they disappear into the constellation of his scars.
now that his head wrappings have come off, you can see the new growth of his hair, what was singed off in the blast he's still never told you about. he's a little damp, just like you, fresh from the bath neither of you really took, and his skin looks extra pink and tender, soft.
and there is a little gray symbol on his scalp, faint and ruined, trying to survive among his wreckage.
maybe you gasp and that's why he turns around; you don't know because you still have a hard time hearing and you disconnect completely from your body, ears ringing like they did only nights ago.
he's without his eyepatch. it's still sitting on the counter, where he tossed it before slipping into the water, between your legs as his mouth found yours. insistent. hungry. like he knew what that even meant.
you don't say anything at first. don't even move. and you watch the recognition come to life in his eye, as his hand slowly goes to the back of his head.
carefully, he says, "it's not what it looks like."
when you don't respond, he takes a step toward you, coming up short when you retreat; a marionette of his movements. whatever is wired in him to display pain does, finally.
bakugou sighs, squeezing his eyes shut before trying again. "i'm not—"
"liar."
his expression falters. a glitch, you tell yourself.
"you're a liar." it's such a simple truth and yet it cuts so deep, all your trust blown to bits as he becomes exactly what you feared he would.
a goddamn infiltrator. another fucking hunk of tin.
you feel sick, suddenly, swollen with regret as your stomach churns. the todoroki corporation must be making them differently, attempting to blend them into what remains of the human population by weaving veins and replicating tissue and sculpting muscle and —
"it's not what you think."
what even spills out of him, when he cums? you've never thought to look before, too distracted by the addicting press of his lips, how he strokes your tongue with his own as if he could never get tired of it. there are only so many places you can find to yourselves; the barn is dark and he wipes your skin off with his own shirt; the bathtub is half-full, sometimes murky from the dirt that the water washes away.
"don't—listen, 'm not like them. it's not like that."
he must be programmed that way to protect himself. to lie, to deflect. all the gentle touching is another line of code they've perfected, meant to leave you thinking of nothing else except for how he feels inside of you.
and you fell right for it. lesson learned.
it's not a little flame that identifies him, like the rest of the 'droids, but a small, cartoon bomb. lit, ready to explode.
aizawa keeps a loaded handgun underneath his pillow, and you lunge for it just as he dives for you.
you hit the floor hard, but so does he, and he's damaged, rusted, and you're able to scoot yourself far away from him, smooth material of the sleeping bag hurrying you along.
bakugou — or whatever he is. it is — only rises up on his knees, arm raised in surrender. just like before. just like the last one.
the second he — it — opens its mouth, you're already screaming, furious.
"fuck you!" the safety clicks; even you hear the echo of it, in the silence of the house.
"no, listen," it begs, alarm and panic and fear generating across its face. sickening, how real it seems. "i need your—"
you bark out a laugh, and it's because your cheeks swell with it that you realize they're wet and that your nose is dripping. "what, my help? digging all our graves, or do you even do that? do you even know what that—"
you choke, suddenly, voice breaking as he — it — tries to scoot closer. you should fire a warning shot or — no, you should just kill him. it.
when you shoot this gun, everyone will come running. they might have already overheard your shouting, with how quiet the property is, and you know once they do, it's over for him.
it.
"you have to believe me."
a trick, you tell yourself. meant to distract you, to take your unease away. scripted to find the softest parts of you, to poison.
sickening, how real it felt.
when you close your eyes, you go back to last night, listening to the audible breath that scratches in your ear. that vibrates against you neck, so that you can feel him, that he's there and safe and alive.
him. bakugou.
you can't look. it's hard enough to find your voice. "how long d-do we have? at least tell me that, before they get here."
"i don't know what the fuck you're talkin' about," an echo. a repeat of the lines he's learned to say to you. "because i'm not one of them, listen—"
bakugou — it — goes silent, and when you open your eyes, the barrel of a rifle is peeking in from the other room, only a breath away from his head.
hitoshi rounds him carefully, slipping around the back of him, urging you to move out of his line of sight. so he can blow him to hell, once and for all.
it.
quietly, the voice — one you know, one you've listened to — tries one final time. "please," it says, cloudy eye pinned to you, as he wears an illusionary sorrow. "don't abandon me."
hitoshi watches you carefully, waiting for you to move and —
(bakugou tucks a hair behind your ear, running the pad of his thumb gently across your browbone. just as you'd done, on the night he lay crumpled at your feet.
good to you, good to each other, in a world rigged to blow.)
you don't.
instead you drop your arms and shake your head. surrendered.
"sorry," you croak, running a hand across your face. "my ears, he—just scared me, that's all."
hitoshi doesn't retreat. if anything, his grip tightens, something flashing in his deep eyes. "don't bullshit me, not me. he's fucked and you know it—"
"you're right," you nod, bottom lip trembling as it — bakugou — watches the tears slip down over your jaw and onto your neck. "but we're leaving."
you close your eyes, blinded by the breath of light that flashes behind your lids. the image of bakugou pressing a kiss into your cheeks.
"i have to get him to kamino."

NSFW Bo Sinclair HCs + angst
I can't believe it. I've finally managed to start carving out a little space in my mean mind where I can feel safe and comfortable thinking about Bo. This is of course thanks to help from @slutforguts @early20sfailingplenty and @visceravalentines. You three have done some amazing work helping me get comfortable with Bo, even if you don't realize it, so thank you!
Anyway Let's get to it!
Contains: Bo being a complex, complicated human being. Switch, soft needy Bo.
🚫 Minors, blank and no-age blogs are not welcome on my blog or to interact with my posts. You will be blocked. 🚫
•First things first. I think Bo is very... complex. He goes back and forth with himself a lot. On one hand, he doesn't want to be a monster. He wants to be be better than his father (I think Victor facilitated a lot of the abuse Bo faced, Trudy probably just went along or didn't care unless she was pissed a Bo) and he wants to prove his parents wrong
•On the other hand, his parents taught him, told him he was a monster, wouldn't want to disrespect the dear old folks any would he? He also enjoys feeling so powerful in instilling fear and causing suffering to his victims. Making them feel like he did.
• This means Bo is going to have very complicated feelings about you as his (potential) s/o at first. He's going to be angry at you for making him feel so soft and weak and vulnerable, but at the same time, he wants to be so, so good for you, good to you. He has to be. Show you and everyone he's not a monster.
•When Bo first meets you, something clicks for him. Something about you catches his interest, makes him feel... something. He feels some pulsing incessantly in his brain, telling him he can't let you go. He can't hurt you, he can't kill you or scare you away. He doesn't know why, he just can't. His mind is an enigma. *cue image of spilt milk*
• Now, I Cannot, CANNOT imagine Bo putting his potential s/o in the chair. One, because I can't stand the idea , personally it would destroy my mind, and I can't even fathom coming out of that and still wanting Bo. I can't. Two, like I said, Bo doesn't want to be a monster to you. He won't put you there. He doesn't want to put you through what his parents did to him.
•He might actually be somewhat skittish and more reserved around you in the beginning. He's angry he feels so soft, but he's trying to be good for you. He's still gonna be a charming flirt, he may express frustration that you don't understand at times, but he is going to try SO hard not to take his shit out on you. Any visitors that roll in during this time get the brunt of his inner turmoil Vincent's having to do serious overtime, and also hiding away. Lester too, will be less present in town.
•Things are gonna be rocky and tense for a bit.
• I don't think he's gonna want sex too soon either. He has... intense tastes when it comes to sex, and doesn't want to scare or hurt you. He may believe that his desires are fucked up. He might see BDSM as a form of torture (given that all his kink gear is stored in the torture room) and has no place in pleasure shared between two consenting adults. Oh Bo, you are so very wrong.
• Bo will probably spill his guts to you one night after heavy drinking. When his scars itch and he scratches till they bleed, and the memories are too much to bear on his own. He will pour out everything to you though gritted teeth and sobs. What happened to him and his brothers, his parents, all his complicated feelings about you and his desire to be a good man for you despite how much of a monster he feels he is because of everything. He needs to know you love him anyway, and you do.(otherwise you wouldn't be here)
• Once all is said and done, you guys can work on things more calmly. Things will be worked and talked through. They won't be perfect, but Bo will be overjoyed that he gets to have this with you. Once you guys get to work on building your sex life, this fun really kicks off. 😈
• Bo loves to be dominant (but he is a switch) He loves tying you up, gagging you, teasing you, overstimulating you, denying you, spanking you, using toys on you... There's so much he loves to do with you.
•Anything you're comfortable with, he'll do. And he will praise/degrade you for being so brave and needy for him. And he will refer to himself as Daddy if you're on board with it I don't make the rules.
If you want some samplings Bo's dirty talk...
"You're my brave, strong little darlin' ain't 'cha? Lettin' me tie you up like this and have my way with you? Look at 'cha, squirmin' for me already.
"You gonna come for Daddy, huh? Is my needy little slut ready to come for me? Thaaaat's it, there you go darlin', make a mess for me."
"Is it too much sugar? You can't take another spanking? You sure? Cause this mess you're makin' all over my lap says otherwise."
•Now, Bo is a switch. Sometimes he needs to hand over the reigns. Let someone else do the thinking but sometimes he feels he needs to be put in his place or punished. Times like those can tricky to maneuver. Check in with him often and make sure he's not pushing himself past his limits. If you're domming him and you feel like something isn't right, use your safeword. Make sure he knows you don't want to hurt him. That you don't want to actually punish him, make him suffer. Sometimes he thinks he deserves it. Keep an eye on him.
• Now when Bo just wants to be fucked dumb and out of his mind? Ohhhh fuck you're in for a treat. He won't allow you to bind his hands, but he loves it when you take his hands in yours and press them to either side of his head while you fuck him.
•He loves being overstimulated (despite what his cries and whines may suggest) Does NOT like being denied. Edging is great, but ruined orgasms and straight up denial are a no-go for him.
• For some reason I can't stop thinking about Bo being blindfolded and having as many toys as possible used on him. So... blindfolds. Good.
If you want more samplings of Bo's dirty talk...
"Oh FUCK! Please! Ri--right there darlin' Yes! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
"Ah! Please... N-no more. I-I can't-- Ah Fuck! Again please. please!"
"Shit, you feel so, so, sososo good inside me. Fuck! Harder!"
lots of moans he tries to hold in, but they only turns into whines.
•Bo also loves getting on his knees and between your thighs. Because he KNOWS how powerless you are with him kneeling between your legs, staring intensely up at you with those blue eyes. He may be on his knees, but he is fully in control. He loves watching you squirm under his gaze and falling apart.
OK. Holy shit. I'm exhausted. I had to get this all out while it was still in my mind. It's waaaaaay past my bedtime but I am so happy I got to do this. I hope you enjoyed!!

Hey there! Hope you're doing well! I'd like to request a Kol Mikaelson X reader where the reader is a child psychic (12-15) that Kol low-key adopts. Like the Mikaelsons find about this kid with "gifts" and try to locate her but when they do they find out that her parents are physically abusive and trying to repress her abilities. So, the Mikaelsons gang saves her and she lives with them and at first Lol only really cares to study her abilities but he eventually realizes she's kinda a mischievous little whack-job of a human and he's like: "This is my child now." You can choose what sort of psychic power the reader has. (Ex. Empathic, telepathic, telekinetic, foresight...) Thank you!!!!
*Thank you for the request and your patience love! I hope you like it!*
Black Sheep
Kol had been watching you for a few days now. He had gotten wind of your abilities from the witches in the quarter, but was determined to see if you were worth his time himself.
From distant observation alone he could tell you were an empath, though he wasn’t sure just how far your abilities could go.
Could you control other people’s emotions?
Had you even scratched the surface of what your powers could actually do?
Listening intently from the corner of your street he hears the disturbing sound of your pleading.
“I won’t do it again! I promise! PLEASE DON’T LOCK ME IN HERE!”
“You’ve left us no choice Y/f/n, you’re a danger to everyone around you, there are consequences to your actions.” Kol’s head lifts at those words, he had heard a rendition of that more than once, listening to you endure the same treatment cracks his inhuman exterior slightly. It didn’t take a genius to see that you weren’t dangerous, just different… A black sheep, like him. Without much thought Kol makes a decision, one that could very well leave him daggered, in a box for the next century.
“I’m sorry, you what?” Staring into the eyes of Klaus, Kol doesn’t back down from the choice he’s made, whether or not it was a mistake was still up for debate.
“They’re an empath, I figured they could be of use to us.” Without another word and before things could get heated, Elijah shows you to one of the many spare rooms that litter the compound.
“Did he kill them?” Your voice is soft and unsure, your age shining through despite your predicament. Although you were looking for reassurance Elijah was quite finished with Kol’s antics.
“Sleep. We can discuss things further in the morning.” He turns away at that, leaving you with the uncertainty of your parent’s survival and the unsettling feeling of a strange bed.
~~
As the months progressed so did your abilities, under Freya’s watchful eye you had learned more about your powers than you thought possible, which got you into trouble. A lot.
Running up the stairs of the compound you desperately attempt to reach your room before Klaus got wind of your little prank, though the vampire in your path did little to aid you in that endeavor.
“And where are you off to?”
“No time to explain, HIDE ME.” Jumping into the arms of your rescuer, your eyes widen at the vicious yell from the living room.
“Y/N!!” Glancing from you to the end of the stairs Kol immediately releases you, laughing loudly at your unceremonious landing. Within a second Klaus is in front of the two of you, eyes blazing with fury.
“You little brat.” Before things could escalate further you dulled the emotions raging through the hybrid’s mind, lulling him into a false sense of security.
“I’m sorry Klaus, I promise it won’t happen again.” Your smile to others would seem apologetic but to Kol was as mischievous as they came.
“It’s alright love, no worries.” Glancing at Kol you can’t help the small giggle that bubbles from within you.
“Your abilities seem to be coming along well.”
“Yeah… Freya’s really helped a lot.” It was awkward, Kol hadn’t spoken to you much since saving you, though you had spotted him watching from the door while you and Freya practiced on occasion.
“Better hide before he realizes what you’ve done.”
“Done again, you should say.” As if on cue Klaus’ booming voice rips through the compound for the second time.
“WHERE IS THAT LITTLE MONGREL!!!”
~~
Try as he might to keep his distance, Kol couldn’t help but feel a kinship towards you. You were a trouble maker. From playing pranks on Elijah, to dulling Klaus’ rage in the presence of his enemies, you were the culprit to some of Kol’s favorite crimes. Of course, a case could be made that you were certifiably insane, but what was the world without a little chaos?
“DON’T TOUCH THAT!” Jumping a mile Freya whips around to face you, eyes wide.
“Why?! It’s just a rock?!”
“My socks keep going missing, so I’m leaving an offering to the house troll.” Mouth agape, Freya isn’t quite sure if you were serious or not.
“Y/n there is no such thing as a house tro-”
“SHHHHHHHH! He’s always listening.” In true twelve-year-old fashion you bolt behind the couch, eyes constantly watching the rock perched on the window.
“KOL! COME GET YOUR CHILD PLEASE!” With a furrowed brow Kol enters the living room, eyes landing on your squinting form from your semi hidden position.
“Uhh…” Sighing loudly you go through the explanation again, never once looking away from your trap.
“That’s why I’m waiting here.”
“So the house trolls will leave you alone?” Kol’s confusion bleeds into his question.
“No! So I can get my socks back from the greedy bastards. They messed with the wrong kid.” Shaking his head Kol kneels next to you in your makeshift trenches.
“How long do you intend to wait?”
“As long as it takes.”
When Rebekah enters the war zone twenty minutes later, she’s greeted with a sight that melts her heart. You were fast asleep on Kol’s lap, mouth wide open, face pointed towards the ceiling. Kol wasn’t much better, head resting against yours with his eyes closed.
“So much for hunting trolls.” She can’t help the smile that forms as the words leave her mouth. Her brother truly was a child. Good thing he had you to play with.
~~
Your thirteenth birthday was something Kol was admittedly not prepared for, not because of the balloons or the obvious sugar rush you were sporting, no those things he could handle. What he couldn’t handle was the effects of time already taking their toll. You were a year older now than when he had saved you, features slowly morphing and changing.
How long did he truly have left with you?
That thought alone turned the cheery celebration into something much more debilitating. Somewhere in the back of Kol’s mind he’d thought about changing you, turning you in the middle of the night like his parents had done to him. Could he do it? Rip away everything you have ever known for his own selfish want to have you around forever? Watching the joy break out across your face as you open presents, he doesn’t think he could.
As the night winds down Kol goes in search of you, fully prepared to compel you to sleep off your sugar high. When he finds you fast asleep on the couch, stuffed bear he had bought you gripped tightly in your grasp, he lets out a quiet chuckle.
“Dad?” With your groggy whisper Kol’s freezes in place. You had never called him that, refusing to emotionally attach yourself to any one after what your parents had done, though your tired state didn’t seem to mind all that much.
“What’s wrong?” He doesn’t acknowledge your slip up, too concerned with the moisture building in the corners of your eyes.
“Bad dream.” Lifting you into his arms, he shushes you gently.
“It’s alright little one, I’m here. I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
“Promise?”
“Promise.”
Watching you sniffle quietly and burrow into his embrace, Kol knows no matter how much it hurts, or how little time he had left with you, he would never let himself be the source of your sadness.
After all black sheep had to stick together.

»»———————— ♡ ————————««
It’s still early in the morning when you hear the jarring sound of the barn door opening. For a moment, you hope that all you experienced for the last few days had been a dream, but your body still aches from sleeping on the cold ground, revealing the heavy truth. You can hear the chipper, “Good morning, ladies!” as the cows start to moo in response, the unbearable smell of fecal and urine drifting towards you with the fresh air coming in from outside.
It’s time to get up, scream, do something! But you blink a few times, your swollen eyes barely opening after you cried yourself to sleep last night, and you look at the iron cuffs around your wrists. Why even trying? you ask yourself, immediately discarding the thought and pushing yourself from the floor. No, it’s too early to give up. You can’t let yourself down like this yet.
“And good morning, Sunshine.” The voice next to you makes you flinch as you look up into the chestnut eyes of your captor. He tips his cap, smiling. You’re disgusted by his presence alone, but a sweet smell comes your way. Leaning over the wooden barriers he put up as your ‘pen’, Alex holds a plate in his hands, pancakes stacking up on top of it with blueberries rolling off of them. The food is still warm, steam visibly rising from them in the colder morning air.
He looks at you expectantly when you don’t make a move, only trying to hide the saliva building in your mouth. You haven’t had a homemade breakfast in a long time, much less proper food in the last few days. There is no telling if your body can still stomach something as delicious as pancakes, but you prefer it so much more than the weird grain mix he also feeds to the cows and would shove down your throat. “Thought you might be hungry, Babe,” he smiles as he sees the desire in your eyes, his own gaze never straying from you, taking in every last flinch and move of yours.
In a way, you are like a wild animal to him, that much he told you. He restricted your movements with chains, fed you like cattle, and treated you like a dog, cooing and using the carrot and stick method to handle you. It’s disgusting, but by now, you at least feel as dirty as one. Using the fork he brought along, Alex cuts off a piece from the breakfast, eating from it first, his eyes staring into yours as he does it. Did he do it to show he didn’t poison it? Does he want to claim this plate of pancakes for himself? But why would he bring it to you in the first place if that’s the case?
Still chewing, he puts the fork down, pulling another pancake piece off the plate with his bare fingers, and holds it out to you. He was eager to lessen the distance between you and him from day one, but his dirty methods made you want to spit in his face. Stomach growling, you are at a loss of what to do. If you let him feed you like a dog, there was no way he’d keep it at that, but perhaps this was your only chance on receiving actual, human food he’d give you if you refuse him.
Your chains rattle as you scoot closer, refusing to play the captured animal and crawl on all fours. Every muscle of yours is sore and hurt from the cold, but there is no other way, the chains around your wrists and ankles keeping you down with their weight. Instead, you stretch your neck as far as possible, your back tensing up in response until your mouth is under his fingers and the piece of pancake hanging from them. But Alex doesn’t just let the food go, watching you with an excited grin as you carefully put the piece between your teeth. Only then does he let go, and you are able to claim the sweet sensation on your tongue as yours.
Eager, Alex holds out another piece, and you take it without even swallowing the first one completely. Something in you completely set out as your brain is satisfied with sugary sweet and fluffy pancakes melting in your mouth, their warmth going through your whole body. You are hooked on the rush of food, you don’t notice your tongue lapping up the syrup on his fingers with the next piece of pancake until it’s too late. But Alex notices, his lips immediately turning into a disgusting grin of self-satisfaction, and he reaches for your face, fingers curling under your chin and thumb rubbing over your cheek.
Immediately, you shy away, disgusted by his touch and disappointed in yourself that you didn’t see it coming. In the reflection of his wide-open, maniacally staring eyes, you can see how dirty and disgusting you are after living like a barn animal for days, and that is precisely how Alex sees you. An animal that he just touched for the first time. Who came to him of their own free will. To him, it is progress. To you, despair.
“Come,” he entices, luring you with more pancakes, but you feign disinterest. “Don’t be scared now. I know you like it.”
The pancakes? Yes. Him? Not at all.
“You need to eat to get big and strong, you know?”
“I’m not a baby animal,” you hiss back, putting on the meanest glare you can muster.
“You sure act like one,” Alex reminds you tauntingly, his smile unfading but his expression less amused than it had been before. “Licking at my fingers, coming to me for food. Don’t you think that’s what a good pet does? You’ve been holed up in your corner for too long. You should be more grateful for my efforts, just like the cows.”
Gnawing at your lip, your eyes fall from his to the pancake slowly growing cold. Only now do you realize he has been feeding you with these fingers of his without your knowledge if they were dirty or clean. Being a farmer, you never know where he puts them before approaching you, and you grow more disgusted for having fallen into this trap he had laid out for you.
Suddenly, for the first time, you hear him sigh. Even when he scratched his head and wondered what to do with you before, he never once had sighed. Somehow, it makes you shudder, a bad feeling spreading in your stomach as he hangs his head, shaking it.
“I’m not asking much, you know. Here’s the deal.” His eyes are ice-cold as he looks up again, and Alex roughly throws the piece of pancake to the floor right in front of you. It no longer looks appetizing, but you are more afraid of the man before you than the wasted food. “Eat it,” he orders commandingly, fitting this whole scenario he imagines you two to play in.
“Ew, no--” you want to protest, furrowing your brows when he interrupts you harshly by throwing the whole plate, including the pancakes, to the ground inside your pen. “In less than an hour, your whole fucking pen will be swarmed by ants. But I’ve got something better for you.”
Pointing to the piece of food before you, Alex repeats, “Eat it,” and this time, you don’t dare to respond. “Eat, and you can come inside with me.”
At this, your ears perk up, eyes widening. “I-Inside?” you ask, doubting that he meant what he said. “Yeah. I prepared a nice box for you in the house, warm and cozy. Clean water and a hot shower included, but I need to know that you are willing to listen to me, you understand?”
Body trembling, you sit there like a deer in the headlights. This is too good to be true, and you fear how high the price is that you’d have to pay if agreed. Listening to him can’t possibly be the only thing he’d want once you were inside, but you watch as the first few flies come over from the cows, wanting to get a piece of the delicious breakfast wasted on the ground. You’d have no peace if you stayed here - never.
Your hand reaches out but just as quickly pulls back. “What will we do inside?” you squeak, unable to control your anxious stuttering. Now that Alex’s lips curl back into a smile, you see his sinister side for the first time. He is leaning casually onto the barricade, but his whole demeanor changed into something horrifying, something that gives you the vibes of a sick and twisted person more than ever. “Don’t ask, just decide. Eat and come inside with me, or stay here between cows, piss, and shit. Maybe you can be useful for milk production?”
The pure horror of thinking about what that fate would entail makes you go weak, and in less than a few seconds, you had gobbled up the piece of pancake, stuffing it into your mouth. Immediately you feel the recoil of your body after doing something so disgusting, but you hold back from spitting it out, already having come so far. “Good girl,” he praises you in a belittling tone like you’d use for pets and children. Opening up your pen by unlocking the many locks he had put on for safety, Alex doesn’t mind the food on the ground, neither slipping on it and breaking his neck like you hoped for, nor having shards of the plate go through his boots.
“Give me your hand,” he asks, holding his own out until you slowly lift yours into his. The chains are way too heavy, but the fear keeps you working even though your wrists are open wounds from the chafing cuffs. “Good,” he keeps praising, repeating the progress for your other hand. “You’re learning so quickly, look at you. Attagirl!”
You don’t dare to rub your bleeding wrists as they are finally free, but a giant boulder falls from your heart as you feel relief set in. “Damn, you do need a good bath, though,” Alex mutters as he sits down beside you, proceeding to uncuff your ankles. You feel a sense of shame, not being able to smell yourself anymore but not wanting to imagine it either.
Finally, you are free of all restrains, but before you can try doing anything funny, Alex picks you up in his arms, his broad chest in front of your face and the smell of aftershave and sweat filling your nose. You didn’t know that was how he smelled. After all, he brought you here unconscious, and when you woke up, you were already in this shitty pen, cuffed and gagged for the first two days.
“Feeling good?” he asks you as he notices how quiet you’ve gotten, not much left of your spiteful self that would scream and curse at him before. You nod slowly, not looking up. Looking at him from close-up might cause you to puke after all, and you’ve worked too hard to get to this point. Alex gives you a rough, scolding shake, and you instinctively grip onto his shirt. “Tell me.”
“Yes...” you mumble, hoping that will be enough to satisfy him, and Alex gives you another sigh before shrugging lightly and adjusting you in his arms. “That’s something we can work on,” he promises you for another time, and you keep your head low as he carries you outside.
It’s been way too long that you saw the morning dew on the grass, fog covering the fields in the distance, and the sun only starting to fully rise above you. It makes you look up in awe, unknowingly being observed by a curious pair of eyes from above. Being outside again almost makes the trouble worth it, and you are able to find happiness in this small victory.
But you have yet to grasp the consequences of your decision. Even if it looked great in the image you had in your mind, you aren’t aware of the state of the house inside, what was waiting for you behind the pretty facade of a farmer’s home. The demands he has of you that Alex had yet to reveal and how eager he was to train his adorable little darling. Make you just as dependant and obsessed with him as his animals were, while you’d share their place at the end of the bed for a long time.
And you didn’t even know about the collar yet.

I was imagining interactions between Rhett or Riley and some of my mutual's OC so here's those thoughts bahaha. I plan to draw these too so keep an eye out buddies!
With @salandersan 's Dahlia I think Rhett would form a massive crush on her so quick! Rhett is such a sucker for dark haired girls with big eyes, he'd awkwardly attempt to flirt until he sees Lawrence. He might puff up a bit, smelling the mal intent on him. Maybe even step in front of Dahlia protectively. But when he realized they're together, he'd recognize a bigger animal and back off. But he would never stop having dreams about that gorgeous flower...
Riley would move in quick to defend her, as the resident butch friend they'd definitely notice her nervous demeanor, and assume she needed a friend. Riley is very caring and gentle with smaller, daintier people, but I don't think Dahlia would be a fan, sadly, jaja. Riley would pick flowers from the sidewalk outside the bar and pretend to be platonically intentioned as they slipped them in Dahlia's hair, buy her a drink, and wouldn't even back off when Lawrence showed up. Riley is a little too brave - some might call it stupid. But who knows when a fist fight between two people that can't feel pain would end...
For @6robotmonster6 's Tobby, Riley would be enamored. They both even have blue hair, "don't you see how we match, pretty boy!" Riley would be able to smell the animal on him, but since they're human they'd just assume it was perfume. Riley would be so easy to lure in for Ren, Tobby would barely have to try! Especially with Tobby's slightly rude demeanor, Riley is VERY attracted to men they have to chase. Riley would most likely end up as a Tobby MC who was asked to be kept at the auction. Tobby with an MC who can't feel pain.... now that would be a show! Yes go ahead and claw them up Tobby, they can't exactly feel it at all. Choke them out, after all there's no damage but lack of oxygen to the brain. Fuck them as many times as you want, even with your prosthetics on, it's not like the bleeding scratches feel hurtful. I think Tobby might lose all impulse control when keeping someone like Riley, especially since Riley is quiet and easy to overpower. Tobby would be a new Ren - maybe worse, even - in the face of someone so willing to submit to pain.
The asshole phase would probably be over quickly due to them sharing similar interests like scenecore and anime and both being masochistics, and due to Riley being incredibly easy going and charming compared to the people Tobby is used to dealing with by that time. Riley is just so casual and sweet, even in dangerous situations... I think Tobby would appreciate the mental break of talking to someone who already seems to care for him so deeply, even from the first night they met. It might even feel wrong, overwhelming, like a lie. But I assure you Riley just genuinely has that much compassion for everyone they meet.
You two feel free to add on or correct me, love your OCs as always! 💓
