You know, what think I like when you are critical of a content creator is that you know how to separate a fact from especulation, unlike a blog out there that took especulation as facts.

Example, that night when we were critical of Karl, or any instance you have discussed about him, a lot of anons were saying that he gave them clout chaser vibes to them, and despite your opinion, you expressed that those were only especulation and not the truth, and to keep that in mind. That's good critical thinking.

But this blog had some similar anons, saying that he only is friends with the Feral Boys gro clout- In fact, they said the Feral Boys were only in it to benefit from clout and money. And they took it as a truth. I know you instance on them is neutral, but come one, they are friends. All of them. Karl isn't friends with them for clout. Like today Karl was playing golf with salad gang plus Sapnap and George at first and then Quackity and Dream joined bc they had spared time and it all devolved into typical chaos (Poor Corpse and Tina and Brook, had to endure those children lol/lh /j). Like, the stream wasn't planned with the 5/5 yet they joined, missing Karl and just having fun.

Idk, I guess that blog's superiority (They were a SBI focused blog) just irritated me. It's as if they were putting both groups at each other as if those streamers aren't friends or close. They were singing prayers of one while shunning the other based from especulation. Criticissism is fine, in fact recommended to be critical of your interests, but taking rumors as facts to base your crit is yikes. It's as if I wanted to crit SBI and base it only of "Philza hanging only with people younger than him is kinda weird ngl.." or "Sbi doesn't care about Tommy cuz he joined late" like that dumb Tumblr post did or some fuckers in Twitter imply.

The main reason I take so much care to separate speculation from evidence-backed theories and confirmed truths is because I feel like that separation is what distinguishes us from mcyttwt the most. One of the main reasons for mcyttwt's toxicity, imo - for its relentless cancelling of everyone, for its bandwagon campaigns - is that people oftentimes criticize and defend based on their personal feelings rather than rationale or evidence.

For example, I complain a lot about Dream stans on here, but you know the reason I didn't stop watching Dream directly after the cheating scandal broke loose, even though I thought he cheated? Because of mcytblr Dream stans. Mcytblr Dream stans engaged with me in discussion, both publicly and in DMs, about the cheating scandal, and even those who eventually came to the conclusion that Dream didn't cheat accepted the facts and statistics they were given and kept a healthy skepticism throughout the process. On Twitter, Dream stans were defending him before he even made a video following up to the mods' initial accusations because they felt that Dream wasn't the kind of guy to lie or cheat. They were replying to screenshots of statistical analyses from subreddits and to articles from mathematicians and staticians with extremely reactionary responses because of that feeling, which they believed in so adamantly, they had accepted it as fact. The thing is, to believe that Dream didn't cheat in the face of all the statistical and rhetorical evidence to the contrary is, in itself, speculative. Usually we think of speculation as a baseless theory that something is a positive truth- that is to say, that something did happen. But speculation also applies to those theories of someone not having done something, when the opposite has been nearly proven to be true.

For this same reason, I chose not to ignore the anti-technotwt threads with screenshots of Techno's old tweets in them. For me to have simply ignored these screenshots and continued supposing that Techno never expressed bigoted beliefs and/or currently doesn't would have been speculative on my part, and to boot, blatantly wrong, given the evidence to the contrary.

People in this fandom, and in all RPF/RPF-adjacent fandoms need to understand that almost everything they believe about the CCs they watch is speculative, at least to some extent, because of the nature of the content they make. Even if someone, in your opinion, displays evidence of some aspect of their personality - whether that be some form of bigoted, sweet, rude, clout-chasing, or anything else - because of the extremely one-sided nature of sharing one's life through a screen, that theory of ours will almost alwyas only ever be speculation, not a solid conclusion that can be drawn. We will never know these people's true intentions behind something shared to us via the Internet.

That vagueness leads to virtually every viewer creating a different theory in our heads about the CCs we watch, and we can't treat those theories as facts, especially not when sharing them with the rest of a fandom. I'm not a very big blog, but I consider even over 50 followers to be way too many people to spread a theory too, without at least clarifying that what I'm posting is speculation. If I have evidence, I like to list it or, if I can, provide sources; but otherwise, I take care to qualify most things with phrases or disclaimers that will clue followers into the speculative nature of whatever it is I'm saying. This is because theories and "feelings" can blaze through a fandom like wildfire, especially somewhere like Twitter, where so many things are word-of-mouth or based on summary due to character limitation.

You know why mcyttwt was cancelling Andi? Only a handful of original Tweeters under the cancel Andi hashtags actually knew what clips or tweets to criticize her for, or tried to elaborate on that criticism. But because every other mcyttwt user was getting bombarded by their mutuals hate-posting about Andi on their TLs, the "negative feeling" towards Andi grew and grew, even if most people didn't even know what they were supposed to feel negative about, exactly. Our judgement works on a quick trigger on the Internet because of the amount of information we're receiving, and so, even a single bad word against someone you don't have too strong of an opinion on can fundamentally alter your perception of them, usually subconsciously. If the first thing you see about Andi, who you've only seen on a couple LOH's or a couple Punz streams before then, is a tweet along the lines of, "disappointed in Andi for her homophobia and joking about suicide," despite you having no context, you will most likely be pushed to the negative side of her. Thus begins the cycle of hatred, building up and up, leading to you searching for more and more criticism about Andi, whether speculative or not, until you solidly and genuinely believe she is a Horrible Person. It all starts with the vaguest fucking feeling, because that's all speculation has to go off of, and it snowballs into a fucking wildfire across an entire fandom. I'm not about to be another person to let feelings snowball and spread like that.

Now, I don't know what exact blog you're referring to, but as an adamant SBI enthusiast, let me flip the argument many SBI stans have for their speculation upon the genuity of Karl's friendship with the Feral Bois, onto SBI. What do we have to go off of for the genuity of SBI's friendship, anyways? Our perceived brother dynamic between Tommy and Wilbur could very well just be Tommy capitalizing on Wilbur's brand and continuing the charade until now because it's been profitable. Maybe Techno only continues to associate with SBI because he knows how much his fanbase likes headcanon'ing about SBI, so he puts up with streams with them so he can continue to feed his fanbase with dynamics he knows they're obsessed with. Maybe Phil would rather play MC with people his age, and actually dislikes that he's friends with a teenager, but sticks around because he profitted so much off of Dream SMP and SBI-related content. And what could any SBI stan have to argue with me on any of these theories? Just because SBI laughs around each other and seems fond of each other doesn't mean they're actually like that behind the cameras. They so seldomly stream or make videos together anymore, anyways, so maybe they've grown tired of keeping up the dynamic.

Everything I said could be interpreted as utter bullshit, and that's because it fucking is. I don't actually know what Techno wants to do with his life, or how Wilbur and Tommy actually feel about each other, or who Phil wants to fucking befriend. The same goes for Feral Boys. There's nothing wrong with stating your theories or speculation, but to treat them as fact or not at least qualify such posts with the fact that this is all based on your bias and opinion, and no substantive evidence, is irresponsible. Just because you feel like one or more of the Feral Boys is "clout-chasing" doesn't mean you have the right to tout that feeling as truth. I feel a lot of things about a lot of CCs, both negative and positive, but no matter how strong my feelings, unless they have substantive evidence backing them up, I have no right to treat them as facts with my followers.

Hello There Skyesims Last Two brain cells! Nice to meet you! Foursome? Actually, there is a pre-existing Challenge that i’m going to use as a base, i found this one some weeks ago while looking into old challenges that might be interesting to try.

Oregon Trail Challenge! by jj10101010@MTS

You and your family are traveling to oregon (for whatever reason) in 1848. But there are obstacles along the way! Start as one of the following: Start as a banker: have 1500 dollars after building house intastead of 1000 Start as farmer: have 2 fridges intead of one (or 1 free grocery fill) Strat as a carpenter: start with a high mechanical skill or be able to call repairman/plumber Chose which season you want to "leave" in (if you have seasons). Roll a dice (1-8) for ammount of sims in your wagon. You can have more than 8 with mods, if you want a challenge. Create them in CAS Move them into a empty lot or house. You may have it however you like, but afterwords, you must reduce your family funds to 1000, unless you are a banker. You can have one fridge (unless you're a farmer), and you can have any bed that you can afford, after changing your funds. You can make money by selling things that your sims make. (no jobs over level 5 (use cheats), because there is probably no money for your sims left at this point.-lol) On the trail! Every week, you come to a stop/ resting point. At this time, you may shop, sell items, stock up on food, and repair your house. Every 2 weeks, you come to a river. at this point, roll a dice. If you roll a 5 or a 6, you don't make it across. Otherwise, you make it, and continue on. Every 5 days, roll a dice for each member of your party. If you roll a 6, they become sick (use boolprop). You can cure them whenever you want, this is just to make it a litte more realistic-ish. *shrug* Every 3 days, roll a dice. If you roll a 2, 4, or a 6, you lose the trail, and find it again in (roll dice again!) days. You lose if everyone dies. After _ weeks (pick your own length), you've made it! Continue playing if you want, or stop if the dice-rolling drives you crazy.

I might not play it straight like this:

So instead of only having One Party, i’m having Two with around 6-8 sims each. Each party at the same time is divided in between two Carts, so at the end of the rotation, i’ll switch carts, so we start with A-B & C-D, following weeks it should be A-C & B-D, and the following A-D & B-C.

I’m not building any house. My Sims will have to live around their carts with only the basic, and some “Personal Clutter” (This personal clutter can be either Deco or actually something to craft selling goods) Everything should round up to 1000 Simleons. No more, no less. And this includes, the Sleeping mat. lamp, cooking equipment... etc.

No Electricity. No Running Water. No Phones. No Delivery. No Services. No Hobbie Lots. No Downtown. No Careers.

Pre-Existing Skills and Badges; I’m still wondering if i should or not give them, i’m more inclined to the idea of putting something like “Each Sub Party can have a X number of Skill points in between their occupants”.

Food. Now here is the fun stuff. They can’t buy food, and they can’t plant food to harvest. Fishing is only for the week they’re close to a river. They will have a Cow for each main group, mainly for milk. Fruits must be recollected from pre-existing plants (aka. Berries, or Fruit Trees). They need to Hunt for Meat.

The Total Length of my Challenge is Six/Seven Weeks, that in my game is an equivalent of Six/Seven SimMonths (and two seasons) and would be the time that should take a pioneers to go from Independence City to Oregon.

I still need to poke around some more details over this, as i’m still on preparations, and in CC-hunting, but so far this is what i have at the moment to work with. Any idea is welcome.

1) Which is your favorite Sims Expansion?

2) How long have you been playing sims?

19 effing years. *pours another shot of Pepsi*

3) Do you have any favorite simblrs?

One of the very first simblrs I ever followed was Kosmokhaos. They’ve been wowing me since their days at Cstyles, and I’ve been in love with their style & creativity. So. Yeah.

4) How would you describe your gameplay?

Derivative and sporadic. I'm almost always inspired by fandoms -- shows I watch, other games I play, and things I’ve read. I bounce around regularly, and my gameplay reflects that -- one week I’m doing this, and the next week I’m doing that. I might not return to something for months or even years. Who knows. Welcome to my crazy.

5) What made you want to create a simblr?

I was lurking Momosims’ blog for CC, and TSR was getting on my nerves. So I killed 2 birds with 1 stone -- I was able to follow Momo, and post my CC conversions without needing to follow some other site’s rules and whatnot.

6) What is your favorite Sim age?

Young adult, of course. The Sims is just not optimized for the younger & older ages, despite there being an entire expansion pack dedicated to them. It’s ridiculous.

7) Do you use cheats when you play Sims?

I was drawn to The Sims 1 because I love interior decorating, and when I was younger I was obsessed with architecture & design. My favorite part of simming is building lots. I only create CC cuz I’m often frustrated by the lack of objects I want to see in my sims’ homes. And I effing HATE making CC.

9) What is your least favorite thing about the Sims?

I'm strongly influenced by fanciful genres, so I am most interested in things from different time periods, cultures, religions, etc. And that’s like the least represented theme in the community. I wish more simmers would get into fanciful gameplay, particularly more content creators. The more simmers who play that way, the more we can influence EA to stop making boring AF packs about the same ole boring generic predictable stuff.

10) What expansion pack are you hoping for next?

The first TS4 EP to even marginally interest me was Seasons, cuz they added more holiday stuff than TS3 did. And they had that Day of the Dead patch, which was COOL. I hope they’ll keep including more holidays and festivals like that - give the Sims some multiculturalism, EA, dang. This franchise is so Westerncentic Californiacentric it makes me wanna puke.

City Living is a step in the right direction - I love the boho Asian-ish thing they added -- too bad it was in a weak AF half-baked EP where the “city” was just distant terrain. It’s mess like that that makes me nervous to even ask for a more fanciful EP like Medieval times or Steampunk, cuz the game engine's so dang limited. There's no horses, cars, or any transportation -- so how can we have knights? Or a live-in dirigible? Or dragon riders? How can we have mermaids or Pirates of the Caribbean or Chinese junk ships when sims can’t even swim in the frikkin ocean? Expand on THAT, EA. Ugh!

11) Do you like to play the Sims in the morning or at night?

Whenever I have free time.

12) Do you have a aesthetic for your Sims?

It depends on the gameplay. I TRY not to make my sims look too pudding, but I don't use reshade and HQ mods and any of that fanciness, so.... :\

The Ghost Hunter from AMB, and the Magician from SHT.

15) What is your favorite Sim World?

Shang Simla, as always~!

It’s just so effing gorgeous -- the misty mountains and the DRAGON cave and the colors and the culture and the foliage and just everything about it. World Adventures was freaking awesome.

16) Do you prefer small or large Sim houses?

Larger houses tend to not have as many routing issues, plus you can add more clutter in them! I’m a cc-holic, okay.

17) Do you prefer more modern or traditional Sim houses?

Traditional. Which is ironic, cuz one of my 2 main gameplays is my Nagron couple, and they live in a modern home in freaking Starlit Shores. :P

But I chose that cuz this is how I play TS3 the “straight” way (LOL!) -- I took my Spartacus sims out of their original medieval-ish save, and integrated them into a modern AU. So the fun for me is how I imagine these 73 BC characters would live in today‘s time. (Which is why I use Nagron for all the OC prompts & questionnaires I do, too).

18) What is your favorite Sims Challenge / Prompt?

The Simblreen photo challenge -- I always look forward to seeing what simmers come up with; Simblr turns into Halloween Town, and I love it.

19) What Sim emotion would you most often be?

Asleep.

20) What is your favorite skill to level up?

Spellcasting.

21) Describe your favorite Sim.

I’ll just direct y’all to my Nagron Page, cuz I describe Nasir all the time. :P

22) What kind of computer do you play Sims on?

As of Nov 2017, a Windows 10 Dell laptop. Before that I was on a HP Vista laptop, which I sorely miss.

23) Do you use Mods in your game?

YES

24) How many hours of Sims do you think you have played?

Thousands. Mostly spent in Build/Buy mode. :P

25) What are you planning to do next in the Sims?

I have some conversions I’m working on, a few requests I took, some lots I want to get started on, some gameplay pics I need to finish, and just a bunch of simming!

I’m just so tired & low energy right now. But this is my last couple of months of free time I’ll have before I go to grad school in the fall, so I want to get as much done as possible. *sigh* I’m stressed.

REBATE DAY - Delamenti’s Home

late fall , almost a week til winter . added a kitchen patio storage closet for vacuums and extra storage boxes . even add a mini bar and martini shaker & new patio chairs

finished the downstairs guest bathroom / laundry room

plans to finally adopt a few pets this spring, but for now renovated the stairs and added a pet lounge area and pet doors in the walls. the doors stay locked because of visitors but the pets need to roam free

autumn garden - since I haven’t played her household for a while, many plants were dying and needed to be weeded and spraying for bugs. added some rack planters and with about a week left of fall i think we can get 1 good harvest from the replanted seeds and get everything fertilized and start planting for the winter harvest. mostly added herbs and plants that can be used for herbalism (since that is her aspiration) and a few magical plants that she found in the weekly lootbox

ravesheen’s storage boxes and containers are actual magic. I love organizing my sims items and I’m adding more of them in every home as I update on rebate days. still waiting for brazenlotus’s plant update i miss my plants having birds and other insects I can grab from them. Aspen spent most of fall in granite fall gathering insects for remedies ( I didn’t want to cheat) but we might use retail therapy mod and just buy them for the winter. can’t risk sims dying in snowy mountains when the park rangers DO NOT SAVE OR HELP YOU . i wish park rangers did things like come gift you items to survive while on your long hikes. water, snacks and things like that would be great.

finished the open pet area. I didn’t want them to be freely around the house I don’t like pets clawing and scratching furniture and I don’t like telling them to stop neither LOL so i’ve added scratching posts and toy nooks to keep them entertained. I love how the peach and green works in this room, goes well with the home’s theme. these arches are basegame. i wish there were some more rounded arches this wide in cc , the ones i find are so narrow. my sims are too big to fit

of course the Cauldon hallway had to be decorated for when customers come ready for their potions to be finished as well as making remedies the séance table recolors I wish had different tops but! I’m not complaining i feel like it’s a bit much for this spot but it didn’t fit in her office (where people come to shop) like I had hoped but fits perfectly in the hall. I love this painting and cactus chair..i need the table to match lol. this area will surely change its more happening than I need but idk what to do for now

this mini wall section behind the stairs I did not know what to put there i might just add a white accent wall. the flooring i think I want to make white wood floors like the master bedroom..instead of spotted concrete..and yes that is a working bonsai tree on the shelf! #Ravesheen ;) I really like helpful little mods ..including these hookah recolors by #BougieChloe

I had to add the herbalism pictures to the walls. Aspen definitely would like those on display, theyre on the outside of her office entrance..as well as some nice lady paintings to on the wall..the house is still kind of colonial and Victorian..but modernized. some reason these swatches are nicer than the wooden ones to me in this space. the green rug is nice. i wish it was a floor texture and not just a rug lol id love that.

the backside of the office i decided to cover the window with the crystal display shelf. I’d rather go from alchemizing crystals and stones straight to the shelf & vice versa. these glass displays are functional and all have separate storage #ravesheen as she finds crystals she will display them and fill those displays with that particular one for potions that need to be made..I feel like summer trips to realm of magic is going to be a MUST. lol. we have friends on the other side to visit for goods. I also wish we could break open space rocks to smaller ones to use for potions and other crystal needs. Aspen got this one in the mail and we might have to sell it for a big price if she can’t use it.

Hii! If you dont mind me askin, how do you edit your darker screenshots? I always end up making them too light or too dark to see a thing :( Thank you!

hmmm idk what to tell you about making them too light or too dark, because that’s a very specific thing that really depends on the picture. BUT i know that the dodge tool is my bff for brightening up dark pictures while still retaining some of the darker elements you want in them (aversely, the burn tool will help darken parts), messing with the exposure can also really help, coloring can also help too, selective color is my bff especially with blue shadows and orangey skin...this is kind of a broad answer, i’m sorry, but if you needed help with something specific, let me know!

I remember you answered an ask and said you drew tears when you edit right? Is there a reason you don't use CC tears?

i answered this like two weeks ago but i can’t find it so whateveR i’ve used cc tears a few times but there’s only like three of those in existence and my characters have cried a LOT. i feel like it would be kinda weird if they had the same tears every time. also there are just some variations that i like to customize myself by drawing, like sometimes they’ll be full on sobbing, sometimes just one single tear...it just depends on the situation, that’s why i draw ‘em.

Would you recommend buying a macbook for playing sims?

if a macbook is what you already have, then yeah, i’d say it suffices without many problems. if you’re specifically going out and buying a computer with the knowledge that you’ll be playing sims on it, then mmmmmm i’d probably say no...but it also depends on if you’re like gonna get REALLY into storytelling and cc n shit or if it’s just casual gameplay with a mods folder that’s like 5 gb or less...if it’s the latter i think it should also be fine. but yeah it just depends on what kind of gaming you’re planning on doing.

How can I read your story from the beginning? Is there a link or something? I keep seeing it on my feet and it looks so great!

hi hello so maybe I am just a blind bean but may I ask how in god's name do you get your images to be so crisp? I have everything set up, but it seems as if when I do my thing in Photoshop, everything turns out lookin like a blobfish. I'm not sure if you use another person's topaz settings or if you have your own. Thank you so much if you do respond bc I was too much of a wuss to message you *cries in Spanish*

OMG well it’s mostly just resizing, smart sharpening, and most importantly topaz clean (see above) that makes them so crisp. i also use the sharpen tool on sims’ faces, and the smudge tool when something is particularly pixelated or whatever. everything i do is listed in here! UR NOT A WUSS *hugs you in spanish*

youre my inspiration to be a better writer. I know i'm good and giving characters depth and backgrounds and coming up with a rough story idea. but i rush things and i'm not great at putting it into a good story so ya. My story on simblr started out as casual gameplay but i wanted it to be more and i'm trying to get better @ everything

OMG ;_________; it sounds like you are a good writer already, and it’s awesome that you recognize your strengths while also acknowledging that you need to work on some things as well. i try to do the same and i think that’s what keeps me level headed. it sounds like you just need to dedicate some time to planning, that way you start to realize all the nuances of your story that come together to flesh out that initial rough idea. you seem to have a positive attitude, so that’s great!! you’re already getting better and better, i know it <3

Am I the only one who's like... really mad about pets being NPCs? I just feel like being able to control them was the best part. I don't really feel like the EP is worth it without them. Like, don't get me wrong, I understand that the team worked really hard on it, but I feel like they didn't do it as well as they could have.

hmm i’m kind of meh on that front because like on one hand i did like controlling pets and the novelty of the fact that you could just see their different interactions firsthand, but ultimately i think i’m okay with not controlling them because it makes it more realistic for me and honestly they’re probably more likely to take care of themselves a little bit more if they’re automated, because i’m just thinking about ts3 pets and how i literally had to make them go pee outside otherwise they’d pee in the house...even if they were well trained and stuff lmao. plus there might be a cheat or mod that lets you control them, like there was in ts2? so don’t lose hope yet.

Ok I gotta rant. GoT does NOT deserve the hype/amazing ratings. Like, sure the cinematography is pretty great and they have ok actors but the freaking script is so mediocre I actually think I could write a better one. Me. A 16 y/o tiny child. There are so much better shows out there! Hell, even Supernatural has a better script than GoT

whenever ppl agree with me about how much GoT sucks i grow stronger and stronger even the actors are iffy at this point. watching daenerys act is painful, jon snow is wooden as hell, it’s just bad. ur 16 yr old self has more potential than these writers tbh. it’s just completely mediocre; it started out as something great because it followed the same layered storytelling pattern as the books, but it’s diverged from that completely because the writers got too caught up in the hype. and you’re right, it doesn’t deserve that hype! omfdkjsgkj i’ve never watched supernatural but i haven’t heard good things. that’s a low bar
