hii i have a question regarding the soundtrack (btw im so sorry im sending you these asks, but idk you seem like a pro on any starkid related matter)

so.. starkid posted a link to buy and download the official soundtrack, right?

well. i found it on apple music.

is that normal? because if it isnt, then i wont listen to it from there and i'll see if i can actually buy the soundtrack..

So I don't actually have Apple music, and I don't really know how it works but I'm guessing the general rule is that everything available on iTunes ends up on there? I don't know what Starkid feels about this, but its hard to imagine Nick Lang and Corey Lubowich not being aware of it.

What I will say is there is a reason it doesn't go up on Spotify for a bit, and that's to encourage people to buy the album, since purchasing it leads significantly greater profits for the cast and crew than streaming. Starkid is a really small company, and they do ultimately end up putting almost everything out there for free, so these little ways that they use to bring in money are super important to its survival as a company. And it's extra super important now, what with the strike. So if you have the money to spend, I'd absolutely try to purchase it instead. Starkid gets the money and the album also gets to climb up the charts, which might expose some new people to the show and is also just plain cool. You can find it on iTunes by searching Nerdy Prudes Must Die in the store.

(@melxody and @thatdelusionalnerd well I took one for the team and risked looking like a complete idiot by messaging Corey Lubo about it. Basically said "this might be super dumb but in case it's not here's what might be up:" and let him know what's going on. true but also i meant rej for the musical that's my mom so is mor being added to the found family? a story for the ages | i believe in you,,,, you can do it.... | i haven't 😔 mor is still the only non-english musical i've seen and idk how long it'll take for me to watch others because i learned abt mor july 2020 then the friend who introduced me found the 3d proshot august 2020 then i forgot abt it and found the og proshot in oct 2020 then FINALLY started it the next day and (1/2) -3D

and watched both proshoots with le making of in between in a few days (actually that's a timeline that's a lot shorter than i thought... time got weird bc of covid i could have sworn i watched it in the spring but since she introed it to me over discord and i live-messaged the whole thing to her(again in discord) i have all the dates saved handily | ANYWAY i also think my next musical might be lldra or les amants de bastille but also we'll see what happens -3D

lkjdlksajdkla that was very intense of u tho. took u a while to finally watch it but once u did u watched it ALL ! i was the opposite !! i watched mor the day after i learned about it but bc i was obsessed with smth else at the time i obviously loved more but kept focusing on the other thing till i rewatched mor two months later and here i am now
