notes: welcome to absolute insanity, brought to you by yours truly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you know me, you also know that i am abso-fucking-lutely obsessed with the twins, and if you’ve read “Don’t Let Me Love You”, you also know that (a) i’m kieran-biased, and (b) i have wanted so badly for so long to dive into the intricacies of his character and motivations. SO just a few things about my beloved baby of a fic that i’ll yap about, and for you to keep in mind as we go along!:

(1) ; some very specific parts will be in 3rd-person omniscient (such as this prelude), but MOST chapters will be in 2nd pov, ideally alternating between yours and kieran's pov!

(2) ; this fic IS based on canon lore with the same canon setting, and as much as possible will be accurate in that sense—however, considering as we know very little canon sylus lore and even less about the twins, lore and such will be very loose so please take it with a grain of salt! (the tag “canon-divergence” is there for a reason, after all~)

(3) ; will absolutely include my take on the possible dynamics between kieran and mc, modeled after the theme of love and deepspace as a game and an overarching “myth”. therefore, you can see chapters such as this which hint towards a bigger picture!

FANFIC/FANART CONTEST (Money Prize)

!!!!BEFORE CONTINUING: For my U.S participants, please make sure you have Venmo or Cashapp. And for anyone outside the U.S make sure you have PayPal. That is the ONLY way I'll be able to send the prize money if you win, and I will NOT be using PayPal for an U.S winners (bc i need to pay a fee to send money with paypal and I'd rather not ).!!!!!

With that settled, hey! This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now, but every year has been a little tight for me with my own holiday spendings and student loans I have to pay back, but I wanted a chance to give back to you guys for all your support, and what better way than through a little contest?

I’ve been writing on tumblr since April 2021??? I’ve put out a lot of writing for you guys, despite my horrible writing schedule and terrible deadlines I never meet. I’ve loved every minute of it and have enjoyed talking to some of you ❤️

Perhaps you've been around for a long time, or you just followed me yesterday, ooooor maybe you're finding my blog through this post, if so, welcome! I write fanfics for anime and otome games (used to write for kpop as well, but I don't anymore). If that sounds like something you like, then you're in the right place!

What do you need to do to join?:

Write either a fanfic or draw fanart to enter and get the chance to win money :). It’s the holidays season, and while I can’t give out much, I want to give something. I’ll be picking 4 winners-- 2 for fanfics and 2 for fanart. First place winners for each will get $50 and second place winners will get $25.

How to Enter:

You must be following me

For U.S participants, you must have Cash app or Venmo, and if you live outside the U.S, you must have PayPal! (if you don't and you win, you won't be able to receive your prize money!)

Choose whether you want to write a fanfic or draw fanart (only pick one. And you can only submit once)

Tag me in your completed work and add the hashtag #hanscontest2024 along with any other hashtags you want to get your work out there (this is how I'll find your work if your tag gets lost in my notifications)

Add in your Cash app or Venmo ID to the bottom of your work (you can delete this once the contest is over if you want, just wanna make sure people who enter actually have one) Participants outside the U.S who will be using PayPal, I won't ask you to put your private info on here, but just please make sure you have one. Rules/Guidelines for Each Topic:

Fanfic Writers:

Your fics must be a minimum of 1k words, I don’t have a maximum, but I’d feel bad if you wrote a whole fic and didn’t win…but length doesn’t determine who wins, quality does!

You MUST pick a character from the list below. I’ve added fandoms and characters that I personally don’t write for as well, but enjoy (since I’ll be reading all of these, I’d like to read things for characters I like!)

Fem!Reader or Gn!Reader only please (Again, I’ll be spending time reading these and as a woman, I’d relate more to reader if I can relate to them. But if you have a male reader in mind, you can still enter, just write it gender neutral please!)

I am a SFW blog, but I’ll be accepting slightly NSFW submissions for this contest. Just please no straight up porn with no plot. I need plot to actually get into a story :(

Idea’s must be your own and must be new and written specifically for this contest! No plagiarizing, and no fics that you’ve already written and posted online or you’ll be disqualified

No non-con/rape, no incest, no poly, no character x character, no drugs (alcohol and smoking are fine, just no weed, no other drugs pls), no religion mocking, no racism, no hateful speech towards any group of ppl pls

Only one submission per person (I’ll be able to tell through writing style or if you make another account to join again and you’ll be disqualified)

That’s about it. As for grammar, I have a hard time reading things that don’t flow well or have grammar mistakes. SOOOO for my younger writers out there who don’t know some grammar rules, or maybe even my writers who don’t have English as a first language, or maybe even writers who’d like a proofreader, I’m willing to read through your drafts to correct any minor grammar mistakes. I won’t be helping with anything else, like how to progress your story, or plot holes or anything like that, only grammar. My editing help will not increase your chances of winning either or guarantee you to win.

For Fanart:

Artwork can be physical or digital, just no AI artwork please, or you’ll be disqualified

Can be any medium; digital, drawing, painting, etc—just make sure it’s complete. Preferably some color would be great as well, unless you’ve chosen an artistic route to not use color

Just characters please, no readers. And no ships…you can choose several characters from the list and incorporate them into one piece, but just no romantic ship artwork plssss

Must be your own work and new! I’ll be reverse searching every image to make sure it doesn't already exist

Each image must have a little turtle in it somewhere in the artwork (just as an indicator that it’s really yours. Why turtles? Because I love them heh)

I’ll allow suggestive artwork, just please don’t send in anything explicit (you know what I mean)

Please make sure you’ve read and understand all the rules written. If you submit something that breaks one of these rules, you’ll be disqualified. So if you have any questions or need anything clarified, just ask me :)

I was thinking over how to choose the winner. At first I was going to do a poll, but I realized it would be biased towards users who have more followers than others. So I will be choosing the winners myself. Looking at fine details and works that really speak to ME, hence why I’ve chosen specific characters.

Not sure how much attention this will get or how many people will enter, for all I know, only two people might enter and the money will go straight to them, or no one might enter…so this is a test trial. If no one joins, I shall delete and pretend like it never happened. But if it’s successful, then maybe I’ll make it a yearly thing! Giving back for the holidays :) <3

Hey there. Never made one of these "Rotomblrs" so bear with me.

You can call me S. He/him but I don’t really care. Made this blog because I recently found out there are others like me and my friends out there across the multiverse and, not really surprisingly if I'm being honest, shit sucks for them too.

Since it doesn't look like there's any therapist out there centered around working with (mostly) children who have saved the world and deal with divine responsibilities, I thought at least maybe making a blog like this would help. Feel free to come here to vent about any of your chosen-related frustrations. You’re not alone.

QnA:

“What’s a chosen?”:

To sum it up, someone who has some sort of special connection with a Legendary Pokémon. The… details of what this entails varies from universe to universe.

“How do you know if you’re a chosen?”:

Like I said, varies heavily from universe to universe. Owning a Legendary doesn’t automatically make you one necessarily, but like, it could depending on how things work where you’re from. I wouldn’t know. In most circumstances I see, telltale signs of being a chosen are usually: Telepathic communication with your patron deity, the appearance of powers, fleshing out, having SOME kind of duty that involves working with your patron in one way or another, etc. Again, these might not be the case at all in some universes, or maybe some are and some aren’t. I really have no way of knowing. Either way, if you think you might fall under this umbrella in any sorta way, you’re welcome here.

“What’s fleshing out?”:

(Warning, this one is gross. Discussions of blood and vomiting ahead.)

Basically the process of… becoming a demigod, for lack of better word. ‘Least that’s what we consider it in my world. Not every universe has it I’m pretty sure, but who knows. The most common symptom of this is… ichor or “god’s blood” appearing in your veins. Which means evicting whatever’s in there right now. Through your mouth, typically. THAT part usually lasts about a night. (I think I’ve seen universes where it also involves growing new body parts similar to your patron’s, but we don’t have anything like that in mine.)

If you have any other questions, let me know. My knowledge is, once again, mostly restricted to my universe, but I’ll try and help the best I can.

About me:

I won’t try and go too much into my personal life, but I’m an adult. Chosen of Lugia, I helped save the world with it when I was a kid. It’s still with me, but still goes off to tend to its own deity business now and then. I’m a Elite Four member, and I have a husband who I love very much. He’s a chosen of Celebi and a Pokéathlete. You might see him on here from time to time, call him E.

I also like Weavile a lot, which explains the profile picture. Might change it to something more fitting later.

Anyways, some general rules: While I might have some decent life advice here and there, I’m not qualified to give out professional therapy advice. Please keep that in mind. (*internally panicking, but taking in everything around her and trying to come up with a plan to get everyone out safely*)

WOOOOO, the Mulul avatars definitely don't have a boatload of issues each! Nothing to worry about at all!

It's almost like, as I've (probably) said before, life as an avatar is both incredibly dangerous and extremely repressive... yknow... because you've sold your soul to a god that wants nothing more than to use you.

Aaaanyway, I thought these were good ways of showing these guys' general personalities! And, I'm ngl, I'm surprised by how diversely they all react to things, haha.

For the moment I’ll be putting a pause on content related to Forever, his character and his various series on this blog. I’m not sure at this time what sort of engagement may happen in the future, if any.

I don’t have anything constructive to add on these matters. I’m very disappointed by what’s come out, while also somewhat pragmatic - 8+ years is a long time to grow up and learn to be a better person. I like to believe people can change for the better. But no one can deny that the handling of things has been badly fumbled, and this isn’t something that will blow over any time soon — nor should it. Accountability and taking responsibility are important things in my eyes.

What I will say to those caught flat footed and who now find themselves left reeling and unsure and hurt: it’s going to be okay.

Take some time for yourself, take a break, give yourself space to process. It’s okay to be sad and disappointed, and it’s ok to be angry. It’s ok to decide to wait and let cooler heads prevail before making any decisions or judgments, and definitely ok to stop and walk away. Don’t judge yourself for things you did not know. And don’t feel bad for finding happiness and inspiration to create because of the shadows now cast on the stories that were told - there will be other brighter lights in your life that will bring joy, and that drive to create will always be yours.

Remember to tag your posts responsibly, be mindful of the impact on others when sharing details about the serious circumstances involved, and don’t rely on only one source for answers. Especially when it comes to Twitter/X.

1. Kettu (Our little chaotic fox) : At first I draft her as a loner, doesn’t give a s*** anything and edgy. But I thought about it that would be a boring character which we often see from series, games or movies, plus I found my beloved one named ‘König’ and read his backstory made me want to hug him, give him a warm and want to see him happy🥰🥰(so embarrassing!!😣). So I decided to created my first OC with concept of a cheerful and optimistic but naughty and chaotic energy at the same time. I just want to see this world burn HAHAHA! (Last word I’m just kidding, Okay? Don’t curse me.)

YOU BASTARD!!!(Sorry for my inner feelings hehheh😅) I think the story of Bell can be far from the original, y’know Bell is just an unknown character that control by player. No background story or even name. We do not know about her true identity(Yeah I choose female bell). So I decided to create my own Bell, it might not be canon. I put the her personality as a light ferminine with concept of a sorrow and identity crisis but yet strong to live this cruel world. And now I’m writing her information, you will meet her soon!

I’m not sure if anyone will read this—or care—but I really want you to know: I love your likes.

Recently I’ve seen some pretty out there (wild) takes on this subject, so I’ll say it again: I love your likes.

I’ve read at least one post (on a very large blog) going in the other direction, with someone saying they appreciate likes and reblogs equally. I appreciate the sentiment, but honestly it would be disingenuous for me to agree with that:

1. This is not a large blog, and reblogs do increase the chances of someone else seeing and appreciating something I’ve spent time making.

2. It is thrilling to know you like something I made enough that you want to put it up on your virtual wall.

3. Sometimes reblogs come with very kind comments or tags, and when someone takes the time to put words to their appreciation for something I’ve made . . . well, to me, that really is the best—that’s the MOST fun part about reblogs, to me.

(@figsr very frequently gives me kind comments in her reblogs, because she is very kind. I still remember @clintbeifong’s “you made WHAT” tag on my very favourite GIF-set I’ve ever made.)

(As an aside, I like it less when people slip in that they don’t ship my OTP. I am an adult—like, born in the ’80s—making GIF-sets and writing fan fiction (or any fiction) for the first time in my life because I fell down such a rabbit hole for these characters, and I am literally the only one guaranteed to read your tags. So it’s so unnecessary!)

But I will say it again for those in the back: I love your likes.

I love knowing that you saw and appreciated something I’ve made! I will admit that I personally am a bit of a reblog slut. When I joined this site in December 2021 (yes, just for these two lovely science nerds!), I was as chock full of anxiety as one could be; I did not want to make any mark here. All I did was like things to keep track of them. Then I liked a bunch of stuff (because I liked a bunch of stuff!) and got blocked by an account by which I had not wanted to be blocked, presumably because my blog was empty and (especially given the format of my username) I looked like a bot.

So I reblogged a few of my very favourite things (so I would look like an actual human being!), and then it was just an incredibly slippery slope to where before long I was reblogging basically anything I could scrounge up that was GSR-related. Seriously, if you were one of the half dozen or so people following me two years ago this time, you will probably know that a lot of that stuff was not of the highest quality by recent standards, and I reblogged a lot of it (and still have a bunch of it waiting in my paused queue, to be honest).

But I know that’s not how everyone engages. I know some people reblog only their very, very favourite things—or nothing at all. And so I want to tell you again: I love your likes.

If you frequently “like” (my) creations for Sara Sidle + Gil Grissom (or William Petersen), regardless of whether I have followed you back (sorry—honestly tell me if you want and I will happily follow back!), I almost certainly recognize your username, and I am always super, super happy to see you in my notifications.

So . . . yes, in conclusion, and for the sake of clarity: I love your likes. 💛💛💛

Anon! No worries whatsoever, this isn’t related to it and you didn’t make us uncomfortable at all. Like I said, there are certain scenarios in which we enjoy the theme, and if it’s dark and/or kinky, the chances of us being on board are always higher. Moreover, your ask is related to a comic that we posted ourselves, so it’s all good – we started it >:3c

What we don’t like is the 100% wholesome and genuine “our baby is kicking, can you feel it?”, “passing out because he’s just found out he’ll be a father” thing. Just like I said in a previous reply: it depends on how it’s used. If it’s just a happy family, and the purpose of mpreg in the story is simply to put characters in the scenario in which they are expecting, it’s absolutely not for us; it could even get triggering at times. Even in terms of kinks, sometimes it works well, but sometimes it turns into a massive squick. I can’t even describe it in a way that would be 100% conclusive; it’s a delicate topic, I guess. If it’s more messed up or if there are darker themes involved, it’s much more likely to work, and with mpreg it has a lot of potential to be messed up by definition.

When it comes to possibility and magic, yeah, twst universe gives a lot of opportunities to make mpreg happen! Be it convenient magic, unique reproductive systems of certain species, or even something that simply exists in-universe. It’s funny that you mentioned Malleus because the idea of him being able to lay eggs certainly pops up in our conversations from time to time… the mechanics of that, the implications, the complicated relationship Malleus would have with it and stuff; there is a lot to talk about. (We actually have a kinky comic where he lays an egg and Lilia crushes it, but completely forgot about it... it’s been a while.)

And Azul too, I think we talked about him making Idia carry his eggs at some point. When it’s animalistic like that, it’s much more fun because it’s less real, more weird and a bit gross <3 which automatically makes it hot because Idia would be freaked out the entire time.

So yeah, it all depends, and honestly goes from -100 to 1000 at times lol, so it shouldn’t stop you from sending asks. If the theme is something that we don’t like or have nothing to say about, we’ll just skip it.

(oh god, good ol’ hetalia days! I guess we missed all the mpreg- or just erased it from our memories lol)

You know Anon, miraculously we did talk about these two in a couple of posts!

What’s interesting about this ship is that Sebek has no idea where to put Leona in his mental scale of important people: he really doesn’t like him, he hates how Leona treats Malleus, but he is also supposed to respect Leona nonetheless (Lilia and Malleus both remind him of that) + doesn’t like being dismissed by Leona for some reason. So if Leona wants to provoke Sebek into sleeping with him somehow, it’d be easier than one might think: Sebek really is gullible… but if he learns about Leona’s motive behind seducing him, he would get so angry and also disappointed in himself that he might actually attack Leona and get in trouble for that lol

Although the thing is, there is a big problem with Leona’s plan: if Sebek is having an active affair with Malleus (= being his little boytoy), it won’t be easy to seduce him. And if Sebek isn’t having an affair with Malleus, Malleus probably wouldn’t care much. So was the croc dick even worth it, Leona?

Man i just found your blog and whatever au you got going on looks so interesting i just have no idea what's going on. Do you have like a post or something explaining exactly what it is :')

I had one, but I can’t find it so I’ll just start a sorta. Starter pack/master post for all of my main Mandela Catalogue aus, and will be updating this post with any new ones I make.

This is gonna be long, so. Bear with me.

The Alternate AU

The alt au is, in its simplest terms, a swap au, basically swapping the alternate characters and the human characters. (Making the humans alternates and vice versa.)

The main plot is thus: Mark Heathcliff after the events of TMC Vol 1, comes back from the dead, furious at Cesar for leaving him to die and “causing” his death. Cesar has an encounter with Alt Mark, fleeing Mandela and living in Bythorne, joining the BPS eight years after that incident, meeting Sarah Heathcliff, and Seth Greer. (the leader of the bps and this aus version of six. Though he. May as well be an oc knowing how different they are.)

There are of course other storylines that happen in this au, involving Adam, Jonah, Thatcher, and Ruth. Here are some screenshots of basic character info:

The Mandela Prophet AU

This au, which is smaller in scale to the one above, is centered on Adam Murray, and takes place directly after the events of vol 2.

After being left behind by Jonah, Adam is approached by alternate Gabriel, and is given an offer that he’ll get all the knowledge he wants, as long as he follows Gabriel. Adam in his desperate want for the truth, accepts Gabriel’s offer, but is betrayed when they instead inflict him with a supernatural alternate parasite, that takes over his body and gives victims M. A. D.

LabRats AU

The basic premise of this au is thus:

The characters of TMC are put through experiments in a scientific facility (Mandela BioTech), which is owned by Gabriel, a scientist obsessed with "perfection" and Dave Lee, a man that's reluctant, but willingly ignorant to the horrid acts happening under his watch. The main characters are mutated, given sometimes supernatural abilities. More info is in the #tmc Labrats au tag, so I recommend you start there, as this explanation is. pretty short.

Home Sweet Home au

In this au, it takes the whole. "Cesar's house is an alternate" theory and runs with it. Mark feels. oddly attached to the House, subconsciously always wanting to stay there and. make himself comfortable. While Cesar remains unaware that his Home is alive, and that he's been living in the belly of the beast for his entire life.
