i've been told by a few men in my life that i'm insufferable to watch football with because i ask "stupid questions" like "do you think all the members of this team are friends?" or "do you think they get sad when they get drafted to another team and they leave their friends?" or "do you think they feel weird when they're drafted to another team and the next season they have to play against their old team/friends?" or I'll make a joke that my cat, theo, is on the bench for the winning team and he had to be benched because he's too good. and I found that as I've gotten older, i get emotional when i see younger players, like cooper DeJean (who i just saw for the first time last night), do well. i'll say "if i were his family i'd be so proud of him, i'd be crying, do you think his family is crying?" and the men in my life are like "i guess" ....you guess? put yourself in his family's shoes and then give me an answer!
