some p5r spoilers, and this is mostly about sumire, and it's long again. do i need to keep disclaiming that these are long? you should know me by now.

i had this written for a while before i started formatting it because i wasn't really sure if i should post it? i feel like silly chatfic is something people go to for predominantly lighthearted nonsense so i was like, maybe there's too much plot and dramatic misunderstanding and i should just keep this one for myself. but then i was like well nothing matters and maybe someone will have fun with it. it's kind of terrible how much fully or mostly completed fic there is my docs that just doesn't see the light of day lol. write for yourself etc but i like sharing! too bad it comes with the mortifying ordeal etc. anyway that was a tangent

potato counter is a neopets game. there's no deep lore i just like neopets. i guess in this universe ryuji doesn't play neopets? or maybe he's just never played potato counter specifically. i also have a different fic where ryuji DOES play neopets. it's about neopets and ryuji and goro talking on neopets.

i think this might literally be the first time ive written sumi in a fic because i haven't actually written that much fic for royal, like, now that im looking, literally almost none? and none that had a group dynamic. so it was kind of fun to find her voice for the first time in a silly groupchat like this. i was worried people would find her exclamation marks annoying but i personally thought it was endearing so i added it in there.

every time i do a gag where a character corrects their own typo i have to code more stupid little bubbles to make it happen but i think it's worth it. all the effort that goes into making tgis look as much like a real chat as possible

this obviously doesnt take place in the canon p5/r universe, but im imagining sort of a postcanon sumi personality where she's more comfortable being herself and isn't borrowing kasumi's brand of confidence, but she's visibly a really anxious person without that kasumi veneer. i also think in this universe sumire is a fairly recent addition to the friend group, and while everyone likes her a lot and she really likes them, i kind of wanted to emphasise that feeling of being in a friend group where everyone's established and you're sort of a plus-one? you don't really fit yet. part of that is her being new, part of it is her anxiety, part of it is just the kind of person sumi is where she's so polite and self-conscious she ends up taking herself out of things with her own good intentions. stuff like her interrupting the flow of an existing conversation by greeting everyone instead of jumping straight in because she doesn't feel comfortable inserting herself, which means everyone else stops to greet her even though that doesn't normally happen in a friend group, or making a point of thanking everyone for being invited to events while the others take it as a given.

idk i love that she feels a bit out of place with the phantom thieves in p5r. and part of that is a natural consequence of being a new addition in royal who can't be naturally integrated with an existing dynamic but i honestly feel like the writing team realised that and acknowledged it, and really leaned into it, and that made it work incredibly well for me. like, it's part of her character that she's sort of an outsider. it's not like p4g's incredibly clumsy integration of marie and subsequent attempt to shove her down everyone's throat as the canon love interest in p4ga (knife). sumi has that outsider vibe on purpose and it makes me really like her dynamic with the thieves as an individual

goro also feels slightly out of place in these chats, but his conversational style blends more naturally with the other thieves at this point and he even uses their codenames sometimes. i keep saying my chatfic series isn't a real Series because the lore keeps changing, but if we accept that they're all kind of following a General Continuity, assume this takes place some time after the last fic in which ren added goro to the groupchat and they made an effort to integrate him into their friend group. he's kind of there now and has settled into being the weird boyfriend. that's his role.

every time goro says something like "ren and i" assume it's the text equivalent of him talking to the group with his arm around ren's waist.

ok i got really fond of this silly running joke where sumi brings up the weather when she's feeling uncomfortable. she's so polite. i like this thread because setting it up meant i got to tie it off like this:

this just made me happy lol i liked writing this. i tried to use it to demonstrate that despite goro's abrasiveness he obviously knows sumire pretty well, he's attuned to her quirks and knows how to tell when she's having a bad time with her anxiety, so he uses her little weather habit to ground her.

i honestly dont think goro and sumire could be considered close in p5r and as much as i like the "royal trio" in canon they're not really... like... friends? with each other? they're both attached to ren, so it' more a V shape than anything else. but that said, i really LIKE goro and sumi's canon dynamic. he takes a really grouchy but politely attentive supervisory role to her during their few forays into the palace as a trio where he doesn't really know her well but clearly identifies her as a harmless little tryhard who needs some guidance and steps into that role grudgingly, and she immediately looks up to him despite being very wrong footed by his ruthlessness, which i find incredibly charming. i think given time they could be good friends, they just didn't get much chance to know each other very well in canon. so i tried to kinda do that here.

once goro stops being evil and joins the group they all kind of tiredly accept that his role is to occasionally push a cup off a bench while smirking and refuse to clean it up. emotionally, i mean.

wait i need to backtrack chronologically to talk about akeshu.

in this scene they're in the same room lol talking and snickering while typing. im trying to get at that vibe of the annoying couple who is flirting with each other, via you. you know? like ostensibly they're talking to you (sumire) but everything they say to you is part of their stupid game. sumi is incidental to goro and ren teasing each other about flirting with someone else, goro is reporting everything ren says because his boyfriend is so eye-rollingly foolish in a cute way. they're very tickled by how amusing and charming they are. gross. disgusting. sumire im so sorry for putting you through this

fool night yasuda kasumi !!! it's currently ongoing and i recently got caught up... if i had to describe it in two words.. "post-chainsawman." it's very similar in a lot of ways, but has very different priorities.. what i really like about it is that it has kind of a tighter focus on the "poverty and capitalism" angle that chainsawman definitely covers but doesn't really devote its full attention to. in a world where the sun no longer shines, plants can't grow, so humans are constantly at a deficit of oxygen... to combat this, government facilities offer a payout to desperate people who can't afford to live if they allow themselves to be "transflorated" -- basically fed on by a magical spiritual plant that will eventually kill them and release oxygen in their stead. one such desperate person undergoes the procedure only to find he has the special ability to communicate with transflorated bodies after theyve passed... and then he becomes a Plants Detective and shenanigans ensue. Super good it made me cry... art is beautiful..... definitely worth a read if youre looking to pick up something ongoing

babel no toshokan by tsubana - stumbled upon this after reading the artist's other work "wakusei closet" on a whim... this shorter story is much preferred and has engraved itself deeply on my heart. a girl with a strange set of beliefs about reality enters a strange relationship with a boy who can read everything that's ever been written just by touching an identical sheath of paper..... seriously so good. give it a go if you want something short and sweet

planet laika & scorched earth of love by mayuri yoshida, this is a short manga and one shot bundled with it that has been one of my favorites for like FOUR YEARS NOW!!! mayuri yoshida's sickly cute animal people + loving intricate lineart combine to create a really unique visual aesthetic. its about the titular laika , as in, the dog launched into space, who has since become the ruler of a planet of dogs, and her plot to take revenge on humanity. also she has a lesbian wife. the one shot is so good too SO DONT MISS IT!!!

anyone who has heard me talk about comics for the past year or so probably knows i've been trying to get Just yknow everybody on earth to read dead dead demon's dedededestruction by inio asano. nothing i could ever possibly say about it could do it justice it's seriously my favorite manga of all time. it's about being in love with your best friend and the end of the world and aliens and politics and the internet and stuff. asano's art is truly breathtaking and unlike anything else on earth, the characters are all infectiously lovable, and it's just like... endlessly life affirming and heals my heart in a way i have a hard time articulating.

and last one... not strictly manga but i have really enjoyed keeping up with wanan's webcomic no home recently... its a long one, but i read about 275 chapters of it in like 3 days, because it's that hard to put down, LOL... extremely inspiring character writing and also just insanely fun, eunyung became an all time favorite character of mine on impact and it has one of those casts where you can't help but have fun watching them be together in literally any situation. it's about a bunch of kids with shitty family situations trying to figure out to learn to live with eachother. its an extremely good example of mundane character drama being written so compellingly that it will make you start slamming your head on walls at work. Speaking from experience.

Tsugaru, Kasumi & Eisuke - Illustration Vote Rewards (JP)

A few months ago there was a Mini Election for Takaomi Tsugaru, Toshiki Kasumi and Eisuke Ichinomiya in the JP App. Originally if it would have gotten enough votes, we would have gotten an animated movie of them. Sadly the goal wasn't reached, but they rewarded us with the CG instead.

Friends probably know how much I wanted a driving sprite for Tsugaru. We have yet to see one BUT they made a CG of it instead! I love the lights flying by during the drive and the BakedBunny is such a sweet addition! Thank you! I kind of wish he looked happier but, I also like that he focuses on the road. Also is that a Red Bean Soup Drink in the corner? haha

It's rare to see Tsugaru driving too, often Momo takes this role. So now that we had driving Tsugaru, can we have one together with Momo please?

Toshiki Kasumi

Kasumis prompt was studying together at Kasumi's home. I love that they included the Belt of Venus as the color of the sky, which is Kasumis theme! Though the sun is about to go down Kasumi basks in the last rays of sunshine and it gives the room a warm feeling. Kasumis look out of the window is adorable! I bet Yui would swoon when she sees it hehe. Focus on the material Kasumi! But at the same time you should enjoy those happy times to the fullest. There's enough drama in your life after all!

Eisuke Ichinomiya

Eisukes prompt would have been watching MC at work. Eyes at the front young man, your girl is in front of you. Or are you watching surveillance camera feeds haha. Jokes aside, i guess we would have gotten the guys looking towards the camera, in the video. Still, I really like the lighting in Eisukes suite. The creme of the couch works well with the dark background and the glittering city lights in the back. Similar to Kasumi Eisuke is also with a device, Eisuke just look more comfy with taking it to the couch. He does look a bit bored though, I bet he's just waiting for MC to finish her work to have fun with her. Hurry up MC, or... Eisuke help with the cleaning :)

Hey, Denton here! You may know me from my daring adventures on simstagram and simtok. I do everything from hiking beautiful landscapes to visiting haunted houses. If you think you recognise me from the meme of a guy fainting when he saw he stepped on a worm... that wasn't me! Deep fake is getting crazy. I like the good stuff in life, I tune out the yuck with the help of our live in maid, shoutout to Gale! My closest friends tend to country hop with me, checking out the good places and sharing our travels for those unlucky enough to have to stay in one place. My twin Harper would say I'm a menace but that's just because I refuse to let her buy stuff for my wardrobe. Join me on my next adventure as I steal the heart of Kasumi.

Why did you apply?

I mean traveling is fun and all but I'm beginning to think there could be appeal to just... staying in one place? I've never been great at being by myself, twin curse I guess. Then I saw the pictures of Kasumi and WOW. That girl is a catch! Plus I like sims in glasses, maybe if we get close I could convince her I'm worth taking the contacts out for. I get the vibe that she's creative so I think we could have a lot of fun making stuff together, whether it's ideas for her paintings or making clips for simtok. And I feel like she would not get annoyed with my constant singing to myself.

I like my style, I'm comfy in it. Drives my sister crazy that I won't wear contacts or let her dress me up like a doll but I'm my own person. I've had plenty- I mean, the normal amount of sims appreciate me on an intimate level after my fashion catches their eye.

favorite thing about them Her romance is amazing. Total absolute badass who is deeply flawed and damaged, slowly opening up to you, and being scared of that. Her and Miranda are kinda Foils for each other. They are both women (biotic humans specifically) and they are both connected to Cerberus through fucked up childhoods but on the outside, Miranda is the perfect princess who grew up in 'better' circumstances and made a choice (not really but this isn't about her) to go to Cerberus to escape her abuser. Meanwhile, Cerberus was Jacks abuser and even when she was free of them she still had to claw and fight and work for every step she took after. And that shows in her character in a very literal and physical way.

favorite line I can't remember it exactly, but if you bring Jack on Miranda's Loyalty mission in 2, the eclipse leader asks if Cerberus lets her whore around in that outfit, and Jack says "I think I'm starting to like her." or something along those lines its very funny.

brOTP Oh this is hard cause in general she gets along with everyone and yet no one. But I think Post 3 her and Kaidan could be like teaching buddies? and her and Miranda might even settle their differences and be friends cause again, foils; neither of them know what its like to be a 'Girl' cause they both had the key part of growing up female taken from them. There are times where you randomly appear on either Ritsu's or Rei's practices but they don't mind, really, they want your company anyways and it's good to see you hanging out and deciding to watch them do their practice because it boosts their morale. (They want to show off in front of their sibling)

Ritsu turns you into his pillow when you decide to visit him one time saying, “I can't find Maa-kun anywhere, but you'll do. ♪” Izumi would scold Ritsu for slacking off the practice again, and… you as well. Since you appeared, Izumi would scold you for interrupting their practice and you could've just visited them when it's their break time, so Izumi told you their schedule so the next time you'll arrive is at their breaks. (Which you didn't follow)

You and Leo would be great buddies! Seriously, Izumi acts like a mother to the both of you since you two are talking about aliens and how Leo got abducted by aliens. Leo would get mad at Izumi whenever he asks you to leave, “Hey Sena! Don't make her leave!" Izumi would just sigh in disappointment because it would mean their practice will be cancelled.

Arashi will be your best friend as well! She would gladly help you out if you have troubles, or advice that you needed and if you needed someone to let out your problems and feelings whenever your brothers are busy~ (I love her sm)

Tsukasa… Well, at first, he adores you! If you like sweets, the two of you will go to various candy/cakes/sweet shops and again, you'll get scolded by Izumi alongside Tsukasa. If you're not a fan of sweets, Tsukasa completely understands it! But that doesn't change the fact that he will at least try to make you like sweets.

Now for Rei! Everytime you visit your oldest brother, he doesn't mind it when you barge into the rehearsal room, “Kukuku, how did my precious youngest sibling find me~?” He would joke about it but he is still happy you decided to visit him!

Now if you're the same age as Ritsu but maybe a year or 2 younger?? Kaoru would try to hit on you, honestly. Rei wouldn't like it and he doesn't want his youngest sibling to be tainted by Kaoru! Adonis always teaches you about some knowledge of his hometown outside Japan and if he ever got the chance, he would make you taste one of specialties! As for Koga, he's pretty surprised that someone like Rei who has a pretty mysterious personality is so different from him! He would be confused, but in the end, he would be on good terms with you. :3

There are times when you're out in the sun for too long, or tiring yourself, you would collapse. You inherited the illness as well, and Leo would get worried and will have a mental crisis trying to bring you to a shaded area as much as possible. And a few seconds later, you would be back to normal! ..just avoid staying in the sun for too long.

Due to you being pretty much different from the Sakuma's, your family members sees you as an outcast and disgrace because of how outgoing you are. You can't help but feel sad and disappointed at their words. (You would rant at Arashi about this and she feels bad for you!) But you also can't help wondering what if your older brothers think the same as them? You're worried that they're just faking their personalities to go along with yours.

Now, Rei and Ritsu don't really know the problems you're going through, but somehow when one of the Sakuma member told how “disgraceful” and “a shame to the family”, their blood boils, how can they call you with those words?! The two of them would comfort you and Ritsu would most probably hug while Rei pats your back, saying comforting words.

You don't deserve to be called like that after all, there's different types of people, they would encourage you to keep doing what you like since that's your own way and they would support you like a good brother they are!

Ichiji x OC SFW WC: 1,064

Kasumi glanced over at her partner, a now runaway prince of Germa. Ichiji had come a long way since running away with her. She had managed to help him unlearn and untangle the nasty damage from years of being treated like a weapon instead of a person. Even now some of his more, toxic, traits would rear their ugly head.

She tried not to let it get to her, she knew it was hard to come out the other side of a parent's shadow. She watched how he adjusted in his seat, reading the book she’d bought him. She was doing her best to foster his creativity. Exchanging military texts and war strategies with fairytales and adventure was a good start.

Ichiji could feel eyes on him, he looked over his book and saw his partner sitting at the table and staring at him. He quirked a brow and she just chuckled. “Sorry, I was just deep in thought,” she smiled when she saw Ichiji adjust his shades and shrug his shoulders. She knew he didn’t handle attention well. Despite the ego he’d had when a proud member of the Germa Kingdom he was far more grounded now.

“Do you know what today is?” she asked, pushing away from the table and sauntering over to Ichiji whose eyebrows quirked higher, showing signs of being perplexed by how she was acting, her sing-song voice making his curiosity rise. “Monday?” she rolled her eyes but chuckled a little, taking his book and flopping down on his lap. Her arms around his neck, playing with his shocking red hair, tickling the back of his neck as she did so.

She adored seeing hm wriggle at the ticklish sensations she liked to bestow on him. Kasumi knew if she was anyone else these actions would have been met with such brutraly cruel force but with her? He just sighed and wrapped an arm around her waist.

“It’s our anniversary,” she said, cuddling against him as he hummed in thought. “I am aware this is the day we called ourself official, but why is it cause to celebrate?” she would have been taken aback if she didn’t know him, didn’t know the horrible childhood he had.

They weren’t even allowed to have birthdays.

And Judge didn’t seem like the type of man who’d ever bought his wife flowers while she was alive.

“Because it’s what couples do, it’s fun and means something.” She explained as he nodded slowly. “Oh my sweet Strawberry, you have much to learn! But that’s why I’m here.” she said with a teasing smirk, her bright eyes glimmering with mischief under the low light of their cabin.

Her heart always ached for Ichiji when she found out another tragic part in his past, found another scar that would never fully heal, another knot to help gently untangle. She wasn’t hurt about how he felt about their anniversary. She knew it was learned behavour. It was a wonder he was able to feel at all after everything that happened to him.

But she was glad he could and he loved her as much as she did him. She sighed inwardly as she just curled against him. He picked up his book again, resting his chin on her head and turning the page. Kasumi could have staid in his arms like this forever, just the sound of turning pages and his breathing, but she had plans, she wanted to make him feel loved and doted on. 

Give him all the love and attention his rotten father had denied him for his entire life.

“I’m going out for a little,” she kissed his cheek and wriggled from his grasp, hearing a grunt of annoyance and doging a grabbing hand that tried to pull her back on his lap. “I won’t be long,” she said, taking her bag and blowing him a kiss.

“I’d tell you to be safe but anyone who messes with you, well, it’s their funeral.” he smirked and saw the glint in her eye. It was true, if anyone could hold their own it was her. She put him in his place countless times for him to know what a powerhouse of skill she was.

True to her word she wasn’t long, opening the door to their little slice of solitude. Far from her father and far from the shackles of his kingdom. The two of them could be themselves and heal from the past here in the small cabin in the forest. Even if it meant she had to go to the next island over for what was in the box she carried.

But it was going to be so worth it.

She opened the door and he was in the kitchen, he peeked around the corner and saw her kicking off her boots. The brightly coloured box in her hand as she joined him. “I know we aren’t the most verbally romantic couple in the world but you need to let me spoil you, it’s something that is going to happen regardless,” Kasumi almost snorted when he glanced at the box with his nose crinkled, it was as if he was expecting the thing to expode and be another one of his fathers many tests to make them battle ready.

“Grab two plates and two forks,” she instructed and heard him digging around for the items, he knew better then to make her wait on him hand and foot, she’d kicked that noble jerk attitude right out of Ichiji. She wasn’t going to let that ugly part of his past come back, not when they had become such equals in this realtionship.

He came out and set the plates down as she opened the box with a flouish. Inside was the most beautiful, delicious-looking strawberry cake he’d ever seen, and that was saying something. He gawked at it, he could feel his mouth watering already. The sweet smell of his favorite fruit wafted up, and he sniffed.

“Strawberry cake for my strawberry!” She said with a smile and poked his nose before she started to cut the cake up, serving him a big slice.

He was still getting used to processing emotions and feelings, but right now as he sat eating cake with his beautiful girlfriend he realized, this was happiness and he felt it deeply in his heart. All because of her.

You know what’s fun to think about? Any and all possibilities where Shirakumo Oboro was the one who survived the Garvey attack and Aizawa Shouta was the one who died.

You know what’s even more fun to think about? If Shirakumo Oboro was one of the only people left of the Rooftop Squad and had to be a hero on his own. All while he was still in UA. Him and Tensei are the only ones who made it out of UA.

Maybe in another time things would have been better. Maybe in another time he would have all of his friends. Maybe in another time it wouldn’t have ended up like this.

He can’t get stuck in the past though. He has to move forward and focus on the future. He needs to be the hero that his friends could have- should have been. He needs to make sure that no one goes through the pain of losing their friend. He needs to ignore the burning anger in his chest screaming “Why” every time he remembers that he’s alive and the rest are not.

So he moves forward. He moves forward and becomes the Silver Lining Hero: Loud Cloud. And things are good. Things are actually better than he thought it would be when he first graduated.

He became a hero, he became a teacher UA, Sushi is still around, he somehow got a boyfriend, he locked away all feelings of anger and grief deep deep inside where no one will ever see it again, Tensei and him remained good friends, and he’s basically an uncle for Tenya. 

Everything is great and life is good.

He especially excited about this year’s class! They all have so much potential and are all motivated to become heroes! Yeah one of them broke his bones and the other has some major anger issues but with some practice and help from Kan and him, he’s sure that they’ll all become great heroes.

This is going to be a good year for these kids. He just knows it.

And nothing will stop that. Not a villain attacking USJ, not a villain crippling his best friend, not a villain almost killing his nephew, not his boyfriend joining the villains, not his students getting kidnapped, not the boogie man of the underground opening up more and more wounds, not the HPSC president trying to recruit him for their own goals, and definitely not the three villains that keep on reminding him more and more of his friends who are dead. He knows they’re dead. Two of them died in front of him and the other was spirited away without a trace. They’re dead. They’re dead.

Everything is going to be fine and everything is going to be okay. It will all be okay.

So welcome to Three For A Cloud au! The au where the price of Shirakumo Oboro living is at the cost of Aizawa, Yamada, and Kayama’s lives. Equal exchange and all that, and as it turns out, the gods believed that his life was worth three people’s lives.

It’s great. Definitely doesn’t cause him guilt at all /s

Now, they’re the Noumus and Shirakumo is the UA teacher!

Speaking of which, Aizawa, Yamada, and Kayama all were given name changes! Can’t have them remembering about their past and possibly turning against the Doctor and All For One! After all, they already put so much effort and so many Quirks into them, it would be an awful waste if they were to betray them!

So Aizawa becomes Noriaki, Yamada becomes Hayate, and Kayama becomes Kasumi. All of them has seen and experienced the horrors. Managed to get rid of all the memories concerning them being heroes and what they had in the past but apparently, the Doctor couldn’t get rid of everything. For some reason Noriaki and Hayate have an attraction to each other.

Often times the two of them interacted with each other in an almost...romantic way. Odd but nothing that will impact their development too much.

They’re also all the caretakers for Shigaraki Tomura! I’m sure that won’t cause any mishaps that will potentially cause

As for Shirakumo’s boyfriend, that would be one Sako Atsuhiro. Blackmagic is canon here and has been canon since Sako got chased by Loud Cloud and thought “Holy shit that’s hot”. Tensei and Magne both see this as an absolute loss and think the their friends can do better but they’re happy so. Let’s get back to stopping this robbery and not flirt each other okay?

Iida Tenya also is honestly going to be the one and only person with the braincell in this au. Just by proxy of knowing nothing and everything all at once.

He knows that his Brother used to have a lot more friends and one day, he just didn’t. Shouta, Hizashi, and Nemuri just weren’t there anymore. For a while Oboro wasn’t there either but eventually he came back, albeit with more tired eyes and prone to snap more. It wasn’t hard to piece together the that the other three died. He was five, not dumb.

He knows that his uncle Oboro is probably dating a criminal which. He doesn’t know how that happened and that’s concerning but at the same time Tenya saw Sako apologize constantly to Sushi when he accidentally stepped on her once so it’s probably fine. Hopefully.

He knows that Tensei and Oboro struggled so much when their friends died and he remembers how useless he felt. His brother could barely get out of bed at times and from the few times he saw Oboro before he came back, he saw Oboro snap at everyone and so willing to fight with everyone. He didn’t know what to do to make it better and he shouldn’t be focusing in on that. He was five. But it was hard. It was so hard to not to feel like he’s doing something wrong. Especially when their friends were also his family.

And now ever since USJ happened, he’s watching it happen all over again. And once again he feels useless.

I keep thinking of all the characters that never really interacted with each other and how they might react to one another. Anyways so here’s this.

Mass effect characters I feel would be friends

If Kaiden stuck around in me2. I feel like him and Jacob would have been pretty close.

• Jacob was only with Cerberus because he felt like they were actually doing something to make a difference but he still didn’t like them.

• Kaiden clearly hates Cerberus. Being a firm Alliance golden boy and supporter of going through proper channels and you know not being a horrible abusive terrorist organization.

I think they could of had some interesting conversations together. Two different perspectives on how shit should get done, but both believe in doing good and hate Cerberus.

I sacrificed Ashley so I missed out on a ton of dialog. But Ashley was a good soldier and a loyal one. A bit flighty imo but I get why.

I looked up some of her dialogue a while ago and I noticed she calls out men being gross a number of times. She seems very protective most likely due to her being a sister.

• Miranda and Ashley would have been a great pair. They are both older sisters who would give anything to protect their family.

• I also feel like Ashley would try to connect with Jack. Idk if it would work. But I think Ashley could get as close as femshep gets to Jack. I feel like Ash wouldn’t take any of Jacks shit and because of that I think Jack would kinda respect her as much a Jack can.

• Kasumi, Tali, Ashley and Miranda imagine the girls nights, dragging Jack to be apart of it. All those girls know how to get into some trouble. They’d be a ton of fun together.

• Kasumi would love James. They’d be cute

• James and Jacob… On the one hand they could be bros. On the other I feel it is very likely they wouldn’t like each other idk why it’s just a vibe I get

• Thane and Samara I think would have been close. They were both experienced in killing people. Both have interesting moral codes. They both have strained relationships with their kids. I would have loved a cutscene between the two.

• Garrus and Thane, I think Garrus could have learned a lot from Thane.

Garrus in me2 thinks what he’s doing is the honorable thing and I don’t get the impression he feels a ton of guilt about it. It honestly seems like he’s killing for himself not for the greater good.

Thane has a very strict moral code about killing, he does not enjoy it but he does it because who else will. I feel if they talked Thane could have led Garrus in a better direction in handling justice, give him a better stance on what he’s fighting for.

• Grunt and Wrex!! They do interact on Tuchanka but not enough. Interactions between these too would be amazing.

• Odd one but I think interactions between Zaeed and Javik would be hilarious. They wouldn’t be friends at all. But i think they’d be rivals.

kasumi: Looks like Team B are going to continue as a team of four until the closing show.

mokuren: Yeah.

kasumi: Since there's guests that know about what happened to Heath last time, as expected a lot of unease is spreading.

zakuro: Although this wound is shallower than having to cancel their performances midway, I still feel a sizeable amount of guilt. If I had not taken Heath to the meeting that day, we may have arrived at a different outcome.

mokuren: ........

kasumi: About that... Why did you even bring Heath to the meeting? They were discussing what to do about Team B's solo performance right?

zakuro: Indeed. I had thought that it was most likely something Mizuki could not decide on his own. However there was no time before the show began, so there was no option to leisurely talk things through with Team B. So then, if Heath, who was the main cause of concern were there himself, I figured the discussion would be quicker. In order to persuade Mizuki, I brought Heath with me.

kasumi: I see...

zakuro: However it was not as though I wished for him to stand on stage despite his illness—

-mokuren grabs zakuro by the collar-

zakuro: Ngh...!

mokuren: Heath collapsed because he was weak. However the one who tempted him into making it happen was you. This is all the result of your pointless ulterior motives. Don't go saying this didn't all play out exactly to your expectations, Zakuro.

kasumi: Mokuren, calm down! Please let go of him!

zakuro: ...It's as you said, I did indeed predict a situation such as this may occur. However, all I did was gather the ingredients. Where does that leave Mizuki who decided to take to the stage regardless?

mizuki: Shut up! Team B ain't disbanding!

zakuro: I see, I see. So this would be what they call a spiritual place for you. When you're feeling down or your chest aches... It's a place that soothes one's restless heart. Is Heath fond of this place too? Maybe because the peaceful atmosphere brings comfort. Are you concerned about Heath's condition?

saki: Yes...

zakuro: Ah, excuse me. Considering your disposition the answer to what question was obvious. I had really thought it to be true though, that he had found his true desire... 

saki: True desire? You think that he wanted to collapse?

zakuro: No, him collapsing was merely the result of it. I tried to imagine it, what it would feel like to live each day not knowing what the next will bring. As if I were like a mayfly, I'm certain I'd want to accomplish as many things as possible. Even if you were to throw away your desires and be put on a life prolonging device, there is still no guarantee you'll live for much longer. Not to mention, we all need money to be able to survive. There may not have been any other options.

saki: .......

zakuro: Even a mere minute or second spent with someone dear to you feels so long. Up upon a stage where he can breathe for as long as he is able to. That is why I had thought Heath managed to achieve his long sought after desire.

saki: And so... Is that why you brought Heath-san along with you to that meeting?

zakuro: Indeed. Although there were unavoidable circumstances, I suppose I just can't help but feel sympathy for those that are suffering from the same illness. 

saki: What?

zakuro: Heath's life or Hari's plans for his future for example. The reasons all vary, but everybody has some sort of time limit. That of course includes myself as well. Every man’s true desire is to achieve what he must do in the finite time that we have on this earth.

saki: (So... What does he mean by that? Is he suffering from the same thing as Heath-san...?)

zakuro: —My apologies, I just remembered that I have a prior arrangement. My little rendezvous with you will have to end here. Please take care on your way home, Saki-sama.

I have finished Persona 5, and I have (spoiler warning) 10 thoughts after the break.

So for context, I played and finished Persona 5 Royal on PC. I ended up putting 95 hours into it, beating the main storyline and doing a good amount of the Mementos quests/confidant storylines, but I didn't do the third semester (more on that later). Thoughts:

What a game. I'm a pretty big JRPG guy, and this ranks up there in my top 5 of all time. Easily. Great characters, great storyline (albeit with what I thought was some filler towards the end of the game), really fun (if basic) battle system. And it's easily the most stylish JRPG I've ever played, and a lot of that has to do with the comic-style UI and god-tier soundtrack. Loved the game, loved the characters. After I finished it, I felt like I was saying goodbye to legit friends I'd come to know pretty well over the past couple of weeks.

Makoto best girl, don't @ me. Sorry Kasumi/Sumire. Makoto was the real Phantom Thief, cuz she infiltrated my palace and stole my heart. I legit awwww-ed at a couple of points in her romance. Hifumi close third place behind Makoto and Kasumi/Sumire.

I didn't do the third semester because how the fuck was I supposed to know you had to max out Maruki's confidant level just to unlock it? I went into this playthrough blind, and Maruki was always kind of sus (I kind of assumed he and Akechi he'd end up being a big bad and I guess I was half-right), but I had no idea that a whole 20+ hours of the game was locked behind his confidant level. By the time I realized it, I was already long past the date he left the school, and there was no way I was going to re-play 80+ hours just to unlock the third semester. Bah. I think it's crazy that they would lock most of the new content behind a pretty random confidant that you can easily pay zero attention to. Shame, because Kasumi/Sumire and Akechi are locked to the third semester and Kasumi/Sumire might've had a better chance of becoming best girl if, y'know, she could actually join my party permanently.

Was Haru even a character? I'm pretty sure some of the lesser non-party confidants got more screentime and background than she did. I didn't use her much either, because Makoto, Ann, and even Futaba were more interesting characters. How adorable (and relatable) is Futaba lol. When she called Mishima an NPC I legit laughed out loud. She destroyed him.

And on the topic of Okumuras, fuck you Okumura boss battle. It was the one part of the game where I had to turn the difficulty down.

WHY COULDN'T I ROMANCE SAE edit: for god's sake I could romance my homeroom teacher but not her? c'mon.

I watched a video about how the characters are much more comfortable in the Metaverse instead of the real world, and damn, it really resonated with me. This game had a lot to say about masks and social/societal pressure and hierarchy and things like that, and I found myself saying damn, that's so true more times than I could count. A large part of why I grew so attached to the characters and their struggles was because in a lot of ways, I saw myself in them.

Loved how real and accurate Tokyo (and the in-game world) was. Loved the references to popular chains, specific streets, and small things like brand names. I giggled irl at the nerds walking around in Akihabara with their bags of merch until I realized I've been those nerds a few times and then I got semi-offended, lol.

Akechi was sus from the start. I mean, was anyone actually surprised when he did the heel turn? At least he had his anime last stand, even if the team went from "you betrayed us you asshole" to "omg akechi nooooo what a noble sacrifice sadface" pretty quickly.

This was my first Persona game and the entire calendar/time cycles were really interesting. The other games have a similar system, right? Should I bother playing Persona 4 or just wait for Persona 6? Is Persona 5 Strikers any good?

Anyway, that concludes my little hiatus from Tumblr. I have a few things on the go irl so I probably won't be as active on here as I was previously, but I'll always be around, even if I'm not posting every day like I used to.

I'm going to be hopefully finishing up a couple of fics I've started, and I've come up with a few ideas for some sequels/new fics (Gaeul sequel because I'm an IVE fan now), so stay tuned.

Oho, my dear, you've actually hit upon two of the ladies whose photobooks I very much do have in my collection! I'm not certain of your personal definition of "tasteful," so I've pulled a selection of pictures from each.

First up we have Yamaya Kasumi, who played Momochi Kasumi in Ninnin! Her photobook includes such moments as:

The one I've got isn't strictly a gravure book, it's a sort of photo travelogue of a trip she took to Australia. It's very fun! It's a smaller format than the standard photobook size (which I think is roughly A4, this is more of an A5 or so), and contains photos with a range of vibes, such as:
