An interim comic! Rewinding to the first time my Shep met Garrus while I work on the next part. I'm halfway done the planning stage, but I needed to take a break and do something 'simpler' for a bit (this doesn't have BGs so it counts in my mind ok).

Also as a heads up, while I generally try to keep Shepard's appearance vague in any comic where I can get away with it, I'll be tagging any comics where she's definitively my Shepard with #SharkyShepard.

Being haunted by the thought of Ashley having to relive the trauma of Eden Prime and losing most of her unit if shes sent with Captain Kirrahee and his 3rd Infiltration Regiment on Virmire and has to see him and most of the other salarian soldiers die if Shepard doesn't sabotage the geth defenses.

Having to experience again the horrour of seeing her fellow soldiers being killed by the geth, feeling as if fate itself was punishing her for the "sins" of her family's past by making her experience that fateful day on Eden Prime all over again.

And on top of all that, the burden of Kaidan's death on her mind if Shepard saves her :(

I keep thinking of all the characters that never really interacted with each other and how they might react to one another. Anyways so here’s this.

No spoilers for mass effect 3 please <3

Mass effect characters I feel would be friends

If Kaiden stuck around in me2. I feel like him and Jacob would have been pretty close.

• Jacob was only with Cerberus because he felt like they were actually doing something to make a difference but he still didn’t like them.

• Kaiden clearly hates Cerberus. Being a firm Alliance golden boy and supporter of going through proper channels and you know not being a horrible abusive terrorist organization.

I think they could of had some interesting conversations together. Two different perspectives on how shit should get done, but both believe in doing good and hate Cerberus.

I sacrificed Ashley so I missed out on a ton of dialog. But Ashley was a good soldier and a loyal one. A bit flighty imo but I get why.

I looked up some of her dialogue a while ago and I noticed she calls out men being gross a number of times. She seems very protective most likely due to her being a sister.

• Miranda and Ashley would have been a great pair. They are both older sisters who would give anything to protect their family.

• I also feel like Ashley would try to connect with Jack. Idk if it would work. But I think Ashley could get as close as femshep gets to Jack. I feel like Ash wouldn’t take any of Jacks shit and because of that I think Jack would kinda respect her as much a Jack can.

• Kasumi, Tali, Ashley and Miranda imagine the girls nights, dragging Jack to be apart of it. All those girls know how to get into some trouble. They’d be a ton of fun together.

• Kasumi would love James. They’d be cute

• James and Jacob… On the one hand they could be bros. On the other I feel it is very likely they wouldn’t like each other idk why it’s just a vibe I get

• Thane and Samara I think would have been close. They were both experienced in killing people. Both have interesting moral codes. They both have strained relationships with their kids. I would have loved a cutscene between the two.

• Garrus and Thane, I think Garrus could have learned a lot from Thane.

Garrus in me2 thinks what he’s doing is the honorable thing and I don’t get the impression he feels a ton of guilt about it. It honestly seems like he’s killing for himself not for the greater good.

Thane has a very strict moral code about killing, he does not enjoy it but he does it because who else will. I feel if they talked Thane could have led Garrus in a better direction in handling justice, give him a better stance on what he’s fighting for.

• Grunt and Wrex!! They do interact on Tuchanka but not enough. Interactions between these too would be amazing.

• Odd one but I think interactions between Zaeed and Javik would be hilarious. They wouldn’t be friends at all. But i think they’d be rivals.
