If I had a nickel for every time someone I was close to gave me a jewelry from Lord of the Rings that had emotional significance, I'd have two nickels— which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice

#lord of the rings #it was two different jewelrys too!#the first one i don't have anymore because it was my ex who gave it to me but it was the evenstar necklace and i wore it so much my neck #turned green— which led to one of my favorite bonding moments with my roommates while we tried to figure out how to get rid of the greenness #and the other one my bestie gave me #you guys know my sam gamgee post about friends of people with disabilities?#i wrote up something about that for my bestie with arthritis and a million other problems and told her that I'd help her carry the ring as #long as it takes and i gave her a replica of the ring with it and she cried and i hugged her and i almost cried #and she said she had a replica of it somewhere so she found the old one and gave it to me as like! friendship necklaces!#and she said that that makes us like a knockoff sam and frodo so i changed our nicknames on messenger to #spam wipes and mr. friendo #and now anytime i help her with anything and she thanks me i just smile and say 'what are spam wipes for?'#kazzy overshares in the tags
