Core Day (Kara Danvers x Reader)
Smut
You didn’t make a habit of getting yourself caught in bad situations. Especially not ones that Kara would have to get you out of, whether she was being Kara Danvers or Supergirl. This seemed to be an exception because not only did Kara have to come to your rescue, but so a plethora of other people, including your mother. Kara had promised Cat that she’d take care of you, and Kara had been doing a good job, but there was only so long you could really be kept out of trouble.
“Before you say anything, I’m sorry,” you said as Kara helped you into your car. Kara got in after you and just held your hand. She didn’t seem overly upset with you, but you could tell that she was definitely still concerned about your safety. You’d gotten in a fight with a reporter who kept hounding you on your alleged romance with Supergirl and a mysterious government agent.
“It’s fine, sometimes it’s hard not to let things get to you.” Kara offered you a sympathetic smile, which you returned. The two of you rode back to your apartment, just a few levels below a penthouse that Lex Luthor owned. If not for you living there, he could have easily bought out the whole building. “Do you think this is another ploy to get you to leave National City from the Luthors?”
“I cleared up my misunderstanding with the women, but Lex was no so willing to hear me out. It is fine though,” you assured her. Kara wasn’t so convinced, but when you pulled her in for a soft and delicate kiss, she was distracted. “You know, I skipped my workout this morning. I could use some core training if you’re up for it.”
“Once Alex clears you for physical activity. She’s already in your apartment, I’ll be there in a few,” Kara promised you. You got a quick kiss from her before you walked up to your doorman. You greeted each other politely and then you ditched your security at the elevator. There were more security guards waiting in the hallway of your floor. Most of them were for you, the two who waited at the elevator for you and walked you to your apartment door, and the two who waited outside of the door. There were some other guards on your floor, but they were there for one of your rich neighbors.
“Hey doc,” you said happily as you swaggered over to the dining room table. Alex’s stuff was already set up there and she was waiting for you. “How’s your morning going?”
“Good, Kelly and I were getting coffee when Kara called me. That was a pretty good hit from what I here, not something someone would expect from Cat Grant’s little girl,” Alex said and you shrugged. “Have you been keeping with the medication?”
“Yes Alex, I know what could happen if I didn’t,” you sighed as Alex checked you out. Kara flew in through an open window and then shut it, watching as Alex finished up the check up.
“She’s good, right?” Kara asked and Alex nodded. You hopped off of the table and tugged Kara back towards your bedroom as Alex cleaned up her stuff. Kara wrapped her arms around you and pushed open the door to your room. You leaned in and kissed her as she floated the two of you over to your bed. She let the two of you hover above the mattress before gently setting your bodies down.
“I love it when you do that,” you told her with a dopey smile. Kara returned the smile as she tugged the bottom of your shirt up a bit. Her fingers ran over your exposed skin until your shirt was completely off of your body. You watched Kara sit back and take off her suit, and then she pulled you on top of her body. “Did you bring it?”
“Of course I did,” Kara said as she zoomed across the room. When she came back, she was standing in front of your bed, the strap-on hanging freely between her legs. You motioned for her to come closer and Kara grabbed behind your knees to tug you towards the edge of the bed. She slowly teased you with the tip of the dildo, rubbing it against your entrance and clit before she pushed inside of you.
You sat forward and held onto her tightly. Once your legs were wrapped around her, she began to float into the air. That always got your heart racing a bit. Kara seemed to have taken your joke about this being the makeup for your missed gym day seriously because you realized that you were doing most of the work. You didn’t mind it though, especially because you could see how hot Kara thought it was that you were practically fucking yourself on her in her eyes.
Just before you found yourself cumming, Kara pulled you off of the strap-on and up so that her head was between your legs. She held you up as she ate you out to completion before letting you fall back onto the bed. You watched Kara get dressed back in her Supergirl suit before she zipped out of your apartment for about 15 minutes before she returned, this time in more leisurely attire.
“There was an emergency,” Kara told you. You nodded in understanding and sat up, now dressed in a pair of underwear and one of Kara’s National City University sweatshirts. Kara tossed a bag of fast food on your bed and then laid down next to you. “I got us lunch.”
“Have I ever told you that I absolutely fucking love you?” you asked and Kara nodded. “Well, I absolutely fucking love you.”
“I love you too,” Kara told you. You ignored the little blush at your use of swear words and decided to focus more on cuddling her and eating the food she brought you.

all in your head - a supercorp omo fic
I’ve been working on this for weeks and I’ve daydreamed about working on this in intricate detail for months. Not betaed because I can’t stand to look at it anymore.
If this shows up in the supercorp tag even though I didn’t tag it - I’m so sorry, this is about Lena pissing her pants. Don’t look.
It’s all in your head.
Maybe, if Lena kept telling herself that, she’d speak it into existence.
You’re just nervous. It’s your first date after all.
And honestly, it was bad enough that something as trivial as a date could phase her like this. It had never been like this before, she’d been sure the so-called “first date jitters” were a fabrication of the romance novels her mother had dismissed as mindless drivel. And she’d been inclined to believe her. Up until now, dates had been nothing more but a business transaction to her, and like all business transactions, she’d been calm, collected and aloof throughout. Also, like all business transactions, most of them turned out to be orchestrated by her mother.
But that was before Kara, before weak knees and fluttering hearts and -
It’s all in your head.
You don’t have to use the bathroom.
It didn’t matter now anyway, because at this moment she saw storming into the restaurant, cutting a corner dangerously close and almost taking a waiter with her, before she arrived at the table Lena had reserved for them, out of breath and beaming.
“Sorry I’m late!”, she panted, frantically pulling her blouse into place when she noticed the blue of her supersuit peeking out from beneath. There was no need for pretence between them, but she had to protect her identity to the public, especially when she was this bad at lying.
“Nonsense, darling. I’m sure it was important.”
“Not more important than you. Not to me.”
Well, and there she was, completely disarmed by the charming blonde. Checkmate in 3 moves. She couldn’t fight the smile that spread over her features, and maybe she didn’t want to, because she knew the effect it had on Kara. An effect that became evident when Kara just stood there, smiling back at her, for a total of ten seconds before remembering to sit down in their booth, across the table from Lena.
For a second, Lena wondered idly what her mother would think of her, sitting in a restaurant that had things such as booths and served a food item designated the monster burger. It wasn’t the type of restaurant a Luthor was usually seen in, it lacked the pricey wine pairings and the menu completely written in French. But what it had was a comfortable ambiance, and the glowing recommendations of one Kara Danvers. She’d take this over the stuffy, pristine establishments her mother used to drag her and Lex into when they were children any day.
A memory flared up in some part of Lena’s brain she’d long since thought buried, a memory of white tablecloth and important investors and feet swinging off the chair because she couldn’t reach the floor, not by a long shot and she needed to go so, so bad.
Bad memory. Like touching a hot stove, she immediately forced herself to forget, to think of literally anything else.
She took a sip of her wine to distract herself, a truly bad idea as she immediately felt a pang in her bladder. Fuck. She’d already had quite a bit of wine while waiting for Kara, not mention all the coffee she’d had even before out of a nervous habit.
“Are you okay?” Her girlfriend’s concern shook her out of her ruminations.
“I’m stellar”, she replied, her voice coming out a bit pressed as she crossed her legs under the table. She took a deep breath.
It’s all in your head. You’ve been in worse situations. You can hold it.
“How was your day, darling?”, she asked instead, hoping to shift attention away from herself. Kara gave her a dramatic sigh. “It was torture, Lena!”
Lena chuckled. “Tell me about it.”
And Kara did. It was very strange how Lena used to hate people who couldn’t stop talking about themselves on dates, but as soon as Kara was talking, she had no intention of interrupting her. Just listening to her was enough to brighten a stressful day. The waiter stopped by their table – it was hard not feel a bit triumphant since he had been sending pitying glances over to Lena’s table while she was waiting, insisting that her date will show up any minute now – and they ordered. Kara heartily recommended their home-made elderflower sirup, and just to make her girlfriend beam at her she agreed to give it a try. It was teeth-rottingly sweet and even worse, it arrived in a tall glass, because apparently every item on the menu arrived in a portion large enough to feed a small family. She gulped down the glorified sugar water while pressing her thighs together.
She could just ask to use the bathroom. She should just excuse herself, it would be easy, she never had problems addressing her needs, why was it so difficult now?
“Hey, are you okay? You’ve been a bit squirmy...is the sirup that bad?”
She hadn’t noticed her discomfort was so obvious. She really needed to get a grip…
Get a hold of yourself. The memory reared its ugly head again, with flashes of her mother’s iron grip on her hand and an icy voice hissing at her to stop squirming, to sit like a proper lady, and to never ever interrupt like that again.
As hard as she tried to repress it, the common sense that told her to just go to the bathroom got drowned out in a chorus of don’t interrupt, don’t you dare interrupt, just hold it hold it hold it.
“I’m sorry”, Lena answered, her teeth gritted against a sudden wave of desperation. “I guess I’m just nervous.” The lie passed her lips with practised ease, and she immediately felt guilty. Even worse, Kara immediately accepted this.
“Rao, I’m so glad it wasn’t just me! I’ve been going insane for three days because I couldn’t wait to go on a date with you but I was also really nervous. Alex kept making fun of me because we’ve been going out for lunch for years, but it’s different now that you are my girlfriend.” She let out a giggle, and then added: “My girlfriend. I’ll never get tired of calling you that.”
Lena didn’t answer. She had to make a conscious effort to keep from holding herself with her hands. Somewhere far away she heard Kara talking. Lena tried to focus on her words, anything to keep herself grounded in reality, to stop herself from remembering. She didn’t want to relive the shameful warmth spreading through the seat of her pants -
A spurt. No, no, she must have imagined it. Lena Luthor didn’t wet herself, she had better control than that. She surreptitiously adjusted her seating position and froze. She could definitely feel wetness in her underwear. She swallowed, blanched. This couldn’t be happening. A quick glance downward told her it didn’t show, yet. She desperately clenched her muscles. She had to keep from panicking. With a clear head, she would find a way out of this situation. She came from a family of geniuses, she couldn’t just sit there and wait until her bladder inevitably gave out.
She glanced around – thankfully the restaurant wasn’t very full today, or any day, really. Lena had the sneaking suspicion Kara was the only one keeping them in business. And in this moment, Lena was glad for it: At least nobody would see her sitting on her heel to try and keep from giving in to her desperate need. Her face burned in shame as she adjusted, trying to angle her leg correctly – the second she lifted herself off the seat, she could feel another spurt escaping, but this one didn’t stop. She immediately dropped back down, but it kept going, saturating her pants and the seat cushion below her. Four seconds later she managed to regain control, but the damage was already done, there was no way this mishap wouldn’t be visible to everyone as soon as she stood up.
She forced herself to take deep breaths. Maybe she could salvage this. If she could just hold on until they left, she could just cover the evidence of her leaks with her jacket – but it was midsummer, of course she didn’t bring a jacket. Desperation hit her in waves, made even worse by the feeling of her wet jeans clinging to her, reminding her of the helplessness of sitting on a chair that was far to big for her, the back of her skirt soaked and dripping onto the floor, silently imploring her brother to help her, and Lex regarding her with a warm, comforting smile and icy eyes before announcing to the table that little Lena had an accident.
She didn’t know whether it was the shame of the memory or the pain of holding it, but Lena couldn’t hold back a whimper as she lost another spurt. She clenched her thighs together as hard as she could, but she was leaking periodically now, the liquid gathering on top of her lap in a hot pool. Tears were gathering in her eyes. How pathetic and yet so in character for her to cry in front of Kara – oh God, Kara. She’d be disgusted, ashamed at being seen with a Luthor who couldn’t even hold her pee like a toddler…
“Lena? You’re worrying me.” A gentle voice, and an even gentler touch on her wrist spelled disaster for her. A jolt went through Lena’s body at the unexpected feeling, and without a warning her bladder let go completely. She could hear the muffled hissing of the stream hitting her jeans. And if Lena could hear it, that could only mean that Kara could as well…
“Are...are you peeing?”
Lena couldn’t hold her tears at bay anymore. She jerked her wrist away from Kara and buried her face in her hands, sobbing, not bearing to look at the disgust she was sure she’d see on her girlfriend’s face. Ex-girlfriend, she reminded herself. There was no way Kara would ever be able to look at her and see anything but a pathetic girl who pissed her pants because she didn’t dare to ask if she could be excused. And she was still going, helplessy peeing into her pants, and by now it was splattering onto the floor noisily. She couldn’t make it stop. Finally, after what felt like hours, the stream tapered off, leaving Lena sitting alone in her puddle. She didn’t move, she didn’t want to face the world. She hoped against hope that the ground would just swallow her up.
“Oh, Lena…”
Kara’s voice took her by surprise, she’d expected her to be gone by now.
“Are you okay? Are you sick?” There was a light touch on her forehead, as if trying to read her temperature, and the concern Kara showed her was all too much.
“Stop it!”, Lena hissed, turning to glare at Kara, who shrunk back into her seat. God, what was she doing, pushing Kara away like that even though she’d shown her nothing but care. Then again, she’d always been her own greatest saboteur.
“I’m not sick! I pissed myself because I’m a stupid, worthless -”
There was a burst of superspeed, and the next thing Lena knew was the feeling of soft, comforting arms around her.
“Shh, Lena. You’re not stupid, not at all. Accidents happen, baby. Let’s get you home, hm?”
Absently, she noted that she should probably be horrified at being talked down to like that. Still, as if the whole horrible ordeal had taken every ounce of her energy, she went pliant and let Kara lead her out of the restaurant and into an alley, cringing at the feeling of her heavy, soaked jeans rapidly cooling.
“Wait here, okay?”, Kara whispered to her, and in a flash, she was gone.
Gone.
Lena ran a hand through her hair. What now? The thought of her driver seeing her in this state was enough to make her feel sick, but the prospect of walking home in her soiled pants for everyone to see was even worse. She was just about to take out her phone when Kara reappeared in front of her.
“Don’t worry about Robert, he won’t tell a soul, he’s a good man. And I’m the one keeping his business afloat.”
Lena nodded dumbly, numb to everything happening to her. She felt spent and just wanted to hide in her apartment, never to be seen again.
“Come on, Lena, hold onto me.”
She realised what Kara was offering, and it was almost enough to make her cry all over again – offering to fly her home, despite everything that happened. Lena shook her head frantically. “I’m dirty...it’ll get all over you.”
“I don’t care”, Kara said, holding out her hand. Lena didn’t have the energy to refuse. She clung onto Kara as she felt her gently lift off the ground, closing her eyes and selfishly enjoying her embrace, the last she might ever share with Kara. Typical Kara, always putting others first. No wonder Lena had fallen for her as hard as she had. As they touched down on her balcony, Lena composed herself. She wanted to face their break-up with dignity – as much dignity as she could have in urine-stained pants and tear tracks on her cheeks. She let Kara guide her inside with a hand at the small of her back.
She closed her eyes. Best to get it over with.
“Thank you, Kara. I’ll be fine now. You can leave.”
“Leave? Do- do you want me to go?”
Lena scoffed. She couldn’t help it, lashing out had always been easier than being vulnerable.
“Don’t pretend like you want to stick around after what I did. After how I embarrassed you.”
“Lena, I’d never be embarrassed by you. You had an accident, they happen to everyone sometimes. I won’t leave because of that.”
Lena swallowed against the tightness in her throat. “I…”
She couldn’t find words for all her swirling, chaotic feelings.
“I need to get out of these clothes.”
“Yeah, me too”, Kara said and sheepishly glanced down at the wet spot Lena had left on her when they were flying.
“Why don’t you clean up in the shower while I zip home and put on some comfy pants. I’ll be back before you’re done.” Then, as if sensing Lena’s uncertainty, she added: “I promise.”
Lena peeled off her sodden pants and put them in the hamper, then she stepped into the shower. She forced herself to take her time in cleaning up, to get her mind out of fight or flight mode like she’d discussed with her therapist. They’d talked about her past, about flashbacks and anxiety attacks, but so far it had never seemed to help her in the middle of one. After an extensive shower she put on a new outfit, stepping into her living room and exhaling a breath of relief when she saw Kara, dressed in comfy sweatpants, sprawled out on the couch while some animated movie was playing on the TV. Her girlfriend – girlfriend! - lifted one edge of the comforter she had draped around herself in a silent invitation to join her. Without hesitation, Lena crawled onto the couch next to her and leaned against Kara’s shoulder.
“I’m-”, she began, but Kara shushed her.
“If the next word out of your mouth is sorry, I don’t want to hear it. We can talk about it later if you want to, but right now, I think you need some TLC.”
Lena agreed, and snuggled closer into her girlfriend, who in turn pressed a kiss against her temple. Lena relaxed and for the first time today, she let herself believe it was going to be okay.

The Truth About The Dark Sides
I have a theory about Sanders Sides:
Neither Dark Sides nor Light Sides really exist.
There are only Sides, and whether they’re called dark or light depends only on how Thomas perceives them.
Let me explain. Each side, each facet of personality, however “dark” they might seem to be, provides something to the personality that would be catastrophic if taken away. We’ve seen it with Virgil before when he decided to quit. Even though anxiety is something that’s seen as scary, and if you have a lot of it, it can indeed have a big negative impact on your life, it turned out that having some sense of caution was vital to Thomas’s continued wellbeing. And I believe this is true about all of the supposedly “Dark” Sides.
Equally, all of the supposedly “Light” Sides, if they were present to a great extreme, could have unhealthy effects, and also if Thomas wasn’t as comfortable with using those aspects of his personality, the other sides might be trying to get them to go away or not listening to them.
Let’s go through each of the sides we’ve got so far:
Patton:
Good things: leads to you trying to do things that are “good” actions; stops you from being an uncaring asshole who exploits everyone, or a serial killer or whatever, or worse; also generally what drives you to try and make the world a better place.
Bad things: if your morality isn’t calibrated right, it could lead to a variety of bad effects done with good intentions. For instance, if your morality is too strict, you could turn into one of those people who tries to ban Harry Potter because they think it’ll turn all the children into devil-worshippers or something, or you could end up cutting off all your friends because you demand moral perfection. In another scenario, you could end up as a Well Intentioned Extremist who believes it’s ok to kill thousands of people if it’s for the “greater good”, because your morality was able to justify it. In a third scenario, a common moral feature amongst people who don’t value themselves much is that they should always put other people’s wants above their own wants or even needs. This is unhealthy and leads eventually to a lack of life satisfaction, a growing resentment of your own friends and family, and martyrdom, when, really, your friends and family probably didn’t WANT you to be a martyr for them and would actually like it if you did some things for yourself sometimes.
Logan:
Good things: logic enables you to take account of the facts when you make decisions, and consider what consequences are likely to follow from those facts and from decisions you take. Being out of touch with logic means the results you expect won’t follow from the things you do, because you haven’t paid attention to what’s happening.
Bad things: If you only use logic to make decisions, and ignore the more emotional sides, you will end up doing things like choosing a career entirely for the money or because you think you’d be good at it even though you hate it and find it boring or stressful, leading to unhappiness. Plus, if you’ve truly got no emotional preference and only use logic, you don’t know what to prioritise in life. How do you choose between 5 different breakfasts that are roughly nutritionally equivalent? What should you do in your free time? Is fun allowed? We saw that chart Logan came up with for how Thomas should divide his time...
Roman:
Good things: enables you to see a bunch of possibilities for how things could be. You can come up with ideas for how to spend your time, you can do creative work and hobbies of various kinds (not just the arts - anything that is innovative!), and this also seems to be where the optimism is, so you also get hope for the future. Enables you to imagine that things might go right. Encourages you to take risks, which means you don’t get stuck in a rut. Without imagination, every day would look the same.
Bad things: too much imagination/optimism at the expense of, say, logic, and you’ll get out of touch with reality. Those “positive thinking” type books that claim you can get anything you want to happen by just imagining it really hard might work to some extent, but eventually a practitioner will run into the hard facts of reality and come crashing down. If you spend too much time imagining how perfect and wonderful a romantic interest is, the reality of them as a human person with the usual quirks and annoying little habits is going to be a big disappointment. Optimism and imagination is great, but it needs to be tempered with realism. Also, if your positive imagination caused you to take too many risks, that’s called being reckless and it generally doesn’t end well.
Virgil:
Good things: applies caution and checks for danger, preventing you from being reckless. Helps you to assess future risks, so that you’re ready for them when they come along. Without caution, you will do stupid things because you don’t care.
Bad things: use too much caution and you’ll never do anything, because literally everything in the world comes with some level of risk. Either that or everything will seem equally risky, so you’ll actually do something that’s genuinely a serious risk because you couldn’t discriminate between that and something that was just a small risk. Those of you with serious anxiety probably know more than me about this section, I feel.
Deceit:
Good things: I know there’s a feeling amongst some quarters that lying is always bad, but that’s really not the case. Imagine you live under an oppressive government with really bad laws and the secret police come knocking saying, “have you seen this person?” In that case, lying and saying you don’t know who they are, or that you haven’t seen them for a month, or whatever, would be much more moral than telling them that the person’s hiding in your attic. Imagine, on a lighter note, you’re a superhero with a secret identity. If Lex Luthor asked Superman who he really was, Supes isn’t gonna tell him “Clark Kent” and lead Lex right to Jonathan and Martha. Or even imagine somebody gave you a gift that you really, really, hated, but you can tell they put thought into and they’re giving it sincerely. Do you tell them “I hate this!” and give it right back, or do you say “Thanks” and discretely take it to a charity shop later? While in most cases it’s good, honesty really isn’t a clear-cut virtue.
In addition, Deceit seems to be Thomas’s selfish instincts. Without any selfish instincts, then, as described in the section under morality, you’re gonna gradually turn into a martyr.
Bad things: If you lie all the time no one will trust you, which means no one will believe you when it counts and you actually need them to. See the story of the boy who cried wolf. If you’re too selfish, you will trample over other people’s needs in order to gain a trivial want for yourself.
Remus:
Good things: Remus seems to be great at imagining horrible, cynical things (as well as disgusting things, but anyway). This means that if you’re in a scenario, you’ve probably already thought of the worst way that things could go, which means if everything goes sort of ok, you’re not too disappointed, compared to if you’d only been imagining that things would definitely go really well. Remus seems to provide cynicism (which Virgil also feeds off). Cynicism, while not great by itself, is important as a counterbalance to Pollyanna optimism. Also, if you’re a crime novelist or something, the darker side of imagination will help you come up with some good grizzly deaths and crimes waiting to be solved.
On another note, there are certain types of recreational activity for which I doubt it’s Roman doing the imagining. ;)
Overall, without Remus, as an adult you’d come across as incredibly naive.
Bad things: Too much cynicism and imagining the worst all the time without any realism as a balance will lead to depression, as you stop being able to see the ways in which things could go right. Extreme cynicism is just as unproductive extreme optimism. And I think we saw the other negative aspects of Remus in the recent video.
So, as I said: each side has its good and bad part. It’s only how you see them that makes them light or dark.

CHAPTER 6
After the events of friday Kara was not very vocal, although she did spend all of saturday with Lena, not talking much but simply being near the other girl honestly Lena was not sure what they were. For the moment though she would simply be there for Kara, putting any more pressure on Kara could hurt her more. Eliza, kara’s foster mother as Lena had found out, decided that Kara should stay home from school for the week until she was able to get her mental state together. Lena had been allowed to come and go from the danvers house for the last few days, she would bring different foods for Kara and always sat with the blonde and watched cartoons, they seemed to always calm Kara some.
Sunday rolled around and Lena was staying with Kara her arms wrapped around the blonde as she tried to fight the war with in her head, and the war with her own strength. Lena had brought movies snacks and fuzzy blankets stating that it was all in order to make Kara feel better, they had not talked much more, Kara had stayed relatively silent but she would talk every hour or so. It was going to be a slow process, but hopefully by the end of the week Kara would be smiling again, and Lena would do anything to bring Kara’s smile back. The smile that light up her days, it warmed her heart, made it beat faster.
Jack had said she was falling in love, but that was before the whole avoidance thing, now Jack wanted her to stay away from Kara. He was trying to protect her, he had been their after her last break up had left her in shambles. He had been the one to help her through it, her mother could not care less if she was dying. Jack did not know that she was with Kara, she hated not telling him, but right then she did not need to deal with him berating her for trying to help Kara after Kara had hurt her. Currently he thought that she was home sick, and did not want to see anyone. She was crossing her fingers that he would not try and come over with soup or something, although he knew she could easily ask Jerome to make her some.
Deep down she knew that Jack did have a point, that if something else happened Kara could do it all again, shut her out and hurt her even more. Part of her knew that she could be the same way though, when she was scared or hurt, she would try and just shut everything out. She took a deep breath pushing the thoughts of how she would have to explain to Jack out of her head. This whole situation was getting more difficult to navigate by the second, she was holding onto the hope that after all of this Kara would be able to get back into Jack’s good graces.
Lena was scared of loosing the two most important people to her, Kara and Jack, she needed both of them in her life. Finding a way to have the two be friends could be the only way to make sure she did not lose her best friend. Kara needed her, Kara needed to know that she had people waiting for her when she came back.
“You should go soon, I know Jack and your mother are probably worried about you,” Kara’s voice was small and weak, but she was speaking and that was an improvement.
“I should, but I don’t want to go if you need me here,” Lena said, she reached up and moved a hair behind Kara’s ear, she cupped Kara’s face in her hand for a moment before pulling back and settling back into the couch.
“I will be fine I promise,” Kara smiled at Lena, as she tryied to ease Lena’s fears. Kara drew back some after that she was looking at Lena though, as her mind spun with the memories of how it felt to kiss Lena and how she wanted to do it just one more time.
“Kara, you are staring, is their something on my face,” Lena said, raising her hand to try and wipe a non existent thing from her face.
“Nothing, it’s just I uh really want uh,” Kara was blushing, her face near as red as Kal’s cape was.
“You just want what,” Lena teased back, she saw Kara’s eyes yeto her lips and back to her eyes. It took less than a millisecond for Lena to decide what she was going to do.
She darted forward, kissing Kara gently, it was quick and simple but she could feel Kara smile as she pulled away. She could swear that she would never get over the fact that she had kissed Kara, even if she knew that it may not last, whatever they were it may just be temporary. They had not talked about it at all, infact Kara seemed to be avoiding it. She would be lying if she said she was not scared of Kara pulling away and breaking things off, it would leave her broken and hurting, but she would have seen it coming.
Kara was not the type to hurt others though, Kara was selfless and caring, she would never purposefully cause anyone pain. Trusting Kara would be hard, Lena did not trust people with her heart, she had been through far to much to be willing to hand her heart off in a second. It would take time on both of their sides to completely open up, they both had their own secrets and scars, Lena hoped that in time Kara would show hers.
“You should go, before it gets too late, I will see you tomorrow Lena,” Kara smiled at her, before ducking in and giving Lena a kiss on the cheek.
“I will see you then Kara,” She wanted to stay honestly, but she knew that would not go over well with her mother who was probably waiting to yell at her at their estate.
Getting up rather slowly, she walked out of the room and headed towards the front door. She had learned her way around the house as she had spend the whole weekend in and out of it. Eliza was sitting by the kitchen island reading on an ipad, Eliza had been kind to her, kinder than most had been to her. She could see how Kara had come out so kind, even if Kara’s biological parents were not around, she had an amazing foster mother around to support her and help her through her loss. It was more than Lillian had ever given her.
“Miss Danvers is it ok if I come by tomorrow to talk to her,” Lena was standing at the door to the Danvers ready to hop back into her car and leave for her home.
“Of course as long as Kara is up to it,” Eliza said, with a smile on her face, she had noticed the way the two girls had looked at each other. Even she had not been able to get Kara to open up the way that Lena had.
After spending just over a day with the Danvers she had seen just what an actual family is supposed to be like, Lillian was not much of a mother, if she could even be called that. It had been months since she had spoken to Lex and when she had he had been off something was wrong with him, he was not the same. It felt as if her family was slipping away, Lionell had died just two years before and now it was as if she was about to loose her brother and something in her gut told her it was going to get worse.
Shaking her head she tried to rid herself of the thoughts, getting inside the car and starting the engine she gave one more look back at the house. Kara was going to be alright, she was in a bad place but she was going to be alright, and for the moment that is what she needed to know. The drive was tiring and somewhat long, leaving far too much silence for her doubts to appear in as they always did. The drive was not too long thankfully but it was longer than she wanted it to be. As she pulled up towards the gates of the Luthor estate she saw Jack’s car, he had probably been waiting for a while seeing as he was leaning up against the car with a look of annoyance on his face.
Pulling the car over to the side of the driveway she got out, she was not about to have this conversation near her mother, that would be another catastrophe waiting to happen. The first thing she noticed about Jack was that he was once again trying to grow his beard, he would no doubt be forced to shave it for school again but yet he continued to keep trying to grow it back. His usual smile and charm was lacking as he looked rather angry and slightly disappointed in her, she knew why and she had expected it, but that did little to help her. He was no doubt going to be disappointed to learn where she was spending her time. No one knew that she and Kara had kissed so she knew at least Jack could not yet be mad about that, part of her wanted to tell him but part of her knew that now may not be the time.
“At first I thought you had slept in Lee, but apparently you forgot that we were going to do research today.” His voice was holding some irritation to it, not malice, but irritation and some anger.
“I’m sorry I got caught up with something, do we still have time to get some work done?” she was trying to fix it, trying to make sure that Jack knew that she had truly forgotten, and did not mean to bail on him.
“Would this something be a certain blonde, who you told me you would not see.” Jack said, crossing his arms and arching an eyebrow at Lena, as he waited for her answer. She took a deep breath, trying to figure out what to say, should she tell him the truth he deserved that much he was her best friend, but he would be mad and she did not want that.
“I don’t know what to say Jack,” she finally said sheepishly, not able to figure out how to respond. He was not happy with her, or the fact that she had went after Kara after everything it was not a good idea but it had payed off, not that he knew that.
“Wait, did you sleep with her? Oh my god Lena no” Jack looked utterly shocked, at what he thought had happened. “Did you spend the last two days in bed with Kara, really Lena, really I thought you were smarter than that!”
“No hell no Jack, I wouldn’t do that you know that, or I thought you did. She needed someone and I was there for her ,Jack, can’t you understand that?” Lena said, she came up beside Jack, and put a hand on his arm.
“You know how I worry, you have a habit of getting yourself hurt by girls that don’t care enough about you,” Jack said, he was still cautious of Kara and knew that Lena was not being completely honest about something, but when the time came she would tell him what was going on.
“I know, it’s your job as my best friend to be sceptical and look out for me, I appreciate it, so let’s get inside, and see what we can do about the nano project.” Lena smiled and walked over to the gate’s code box and put in the code,to open it.
“That sounds great,” Jack smiled back he was certainly not about to forgive Kara for what she was doing but she was not going to let that hurt Lena as well so for the moment he would drop it and just spend time with his best friend.
He slipped back into his car and followed Lena’s through the gate and towards the garage, Lillian would always get mad if they left their cars out in front of the house. He had never met someone so cold and bitter as Lillian Luthor, he often wondered how anyone could be so horrible to her own daughter. It was not his place that is what Lena had said so long ago when he had tried to get her to talk about it. He pushed it from his mind though, as he parked his car and got out, Lena was smiling looking out over the estate, something had changed he could tell although there was some sadness hidden in her he could tell that something good had happened.
They walked towards the house not saying much, both of them deep in thought Lena was already trying to do some of the calculations in her head, while Jack was still worrying over the Kara situation. Maybe a good shovel talk would be in order, actually a good shovel talk was 100% needed after what Kara had pulled. He was not as fond of Kara as he had been just two weeks before, but for the sake of Lena’s happiness he would try not to hate her.
“You know I think mother is trying to keep a secret from me,” Lena broke the slightly awkward silence, after seeing her mother peaking out a window looking at them.
“Isn’t she always keeping secrets though?” Lillian was far from an honest person, he had learned that within fifteen minutes of meeting the woman. Trusting Lillian was like trusting a tiger not to eat you after it had been starved for weeks.
“This seems different though, I just have a bad gut feeling you know,” Lena said, they had reached the door, and stopped there not wanting to risk walking right into Lillian, it would not be the first time.
“Well we will just have to keep an eye out, nancy drew,” Jack quipped back, before opening up the door and going in, he knew that if he did not then Lena would have them stand out there until Lillia began to think something was up.

“Kara, you know if there is something between you and Lena you don’t have to hide it from me” Eliza had come to sit next to her youngest daughter, as Kara sat on the beach watching the waves hit the shoor. Soon after Lena had left the house Kara had silently made her way outside.
“There isn’t or at least right now, I’m not really sure,” Kara let her head drop to her hands she was exhausted and scared, and she was worried that her inability to figure out where she and Lena stood would hurt the raven haired girl.
“Sometimes it is ok to be unsure, but just remember if you take too long you could lose her,” Eliza put a hand around Kara’s shoulders and pulled her closer. Kara rested her head on her foster mother’s shoulder as she looked out over the ocean.
“Why is everything so confusing, can’t just one part of life actually make sense and be normal.” the sadness and regret in Kara’s voice let out a small portion of just how much she had lost and how much she continued to carry on her shoulders.
“I don’t know, but life tends to always be confusing, that isn’t going to change just because we want it to. You have to embrace life's changes sometimes and you have to learn around them even the bad ones.” Eliza knew all too well that life changed in the blink of an eye, and it was not always a good change, some changes left her broken others gave her another daughter.
“I should start getting ready shouldn’t I,” Kara gave Eliza a small smile, knowing that it was past time she started her day, after all she could atleast do something besides drown in her own mind.
“That would be good we can call Alex and then maybe you can go pick up some things for me,” Eliza had it planned out she figure that Kara being who she was, would not be able to keep herself secluded for too long and seeing as Kara had relatively good control over her strength for the moment it would be good for her to get out.
“ that sounds ok, I can do that,” Kara smiled and looked up at Eliza, over the last week she had gotten a small handle on her strength, it was enough to where she had to focus most all times to ensure that she did not break anything but hopefully it would get easier.
“Good now go get ready, and I will make the list,” Eliza shifted and got up, she offered Kara a hand up knowing that Kara did not need it but wanting to offer the comfort that came with touch.
Kara took Eliza’s out stretched hand and got up, she proceeded to run towards the house, a small smile playing on her face. Eliza held in a laugh as her daughter ran out of sight, Kara was always full of energy and even when things were going wrong she was a ball of sunshine. As she walked towards the house she could already hear Kara opening and closing the front door, before Alex had left for college they had talked about trying to figure out exactly when Kara’s full powers would begin to manifest.
There was no choice of whether or not Kara would get powers, Kara had no choice in that no one did. Kara saw them as a curse, and in many ways they were, she was never allowed to fully relax because of the risk that her powers brought. When she had first arrived Kara had been to distraught to care about her powers or anything else. No one knew the struggle that Kara was going through, Clark for all of his claims to understand could never truly grasp how much Kara had lost. Part of Eliza was angry with Clark for that, for thinking that he understood and putting himself before Kara.
She walked up to the house knowing that Kara was likely near done getting ready, and would be waiting for her to hand over the list of chores for the day. Entering the kitchen she went to the counter grabbing a pen and notepad and jotting down the list, it was not to much, she did not want to put too much pressure on Kara. As she put the last item on the list she heard Kara rushing down the stairs, despite Kara’s powers she had not yet figured out how to be silent when moving about the house, at times Eliza was thankful for that as it ensured that she would notice if Kara tried to sneak out.
“Ok where is the list?” Kara came to a halt right in front of her foster mother, she was smiling, it seemed that Lena’s visit earlier that morning had a larger effect on Kara’s moral than Eliza had thought it would.
“Here you are dear, now get going and don’t take to long I don’t want you out too late,” Eliza smiled as she ushered Kara towards the door with the list in hand.
“Love you Eliza, I will be back soon,” Kara smiled as she closed the front door and headed towards her car, she had not driven since the week before as Eliza had been with her whenever she was not in school.
Kara hopped in the car and looked at the list, it was simple enough she needed to go by the dry cleaners and pick up a few things, go by the lab and check on Chester before heading to the farmers market. The first few items on the list went easy, Chestere the monkey at the lab, they were working on helping him recover from experimentation that had been inflicted on him by a corporation. He loved Kara she was his favorite person, he even tried to share a banana with her once.
Lucy worked weekends at the market, hopefully she would be able to avoid her, eventually they would have to talk but it was best if she waited a while. Lucy was a good friend and a good person, she did not deserve to be left out and pushed away like she was being but Kara did not know what else to do.
For the time being she would have to think it over, maybe she could get them to drop it for a while that would be good. She could get her friends back and just ignore what was going on, but Lucy and James would never do that, if she pouted Winn would though. Forgiveness was likely not to come in the next few days but maybe if she tried instead of avoiding them then she would have a better chance.
Pulling up to the lot where the farmers market was always held, she could see Lucy’s car parked in the corner. That meant that there was no avoiding Lucy seeing as she needed to go over to the stand that Lucy worked at to get the watermelon. She parked as far away from Lucy as she could, hoping that it would buy her some time before Lucy noticed her. Taking a deep breath she got out of the car, and headed towards the stands.
She could see James in the corner of her eye as she stopped by the stand run by one of the local farmers, he always brought chocolate covered popcorn that he had made. It was one of her favorite things. They also sold caramel covered popcorn but she really did not like it, she did not really like caramel even on popcorn she hated it, she just hated caramel. She was already eating it as she began grabbing the various items on the list, she was going through the list for the market slowly, in the hopes that Lucy would take a break and she could go over when James and her were not over there. Her luck ran out through, as Lucy and James were headed over her way.
“Kara, good to see that you are alive,” Lucy was being somewhat sarcastic, but Kara could see the genuine worry that lay beneath the surface of her words.
“Yeah, I’m in one peice,” Kara answered back trying not to be cold or dismissing, but still being vague enough. She was smiling, but James and Lucy certainly were not they were somewhere between anger and worry.
“What is going on Kara, whatever it is please just let us in” Lucy put a hand on Kara’s shoulder as she spoke. Kara felt guilt twist in her stomach as she decided that the best course of action was to tell a partial lie.
“I just had some stuff going on Luce, that’s all,” Kara did her best to keep the crinkle from forming.
“You know I used to think the crinkle was adorable when you were just lying about small things, but now I kind of hate it,” Lucy put her hands on her hips, a frown formed on her face as part of her concern went away with Kara’s words, it was replaced by irritation.
“Lucy, James please it is just really complicated right now, can’t you understand that?” Kara pled with her friends, trying and hoping that they would be able to push the last week behind them if only for a little while.
“You expect us to just take that for an answer! we are your friends Kara we are worried about you please let us in.” James said, he had been mostly silent, his eyes gave away just how worried he was about her.
“No, I expect you to understand that right now I need to figure things out and that means that sometimes I may have to push you away to do that.” Kara was trying to keep her cool, she knew that she had not given the answer that they were looking for, but she had given them the truth. James crossed his arms obviously not happy with the answer that she had given, it was understandable.
“So you will just cut us all off anytime something happens, that is not fair to us Kara and you know it.” Lucy jumped back in with anger flashing in her eyes, as the words left her mouth. It was understandable but that did not stop the fact that is still hurt to hear it.
“No I just, sometimes I will need space and stuff,” Kara said, trying to fix her earlier statement and make up for it. It did not seem to work though as Lucy’s eyes seemed to just harden and she lete out a scoff.
“Whatever Kara, whatever,” Lucy turned on her heel and walked back over to the stand, getting back to work.
“Next time Kara you could just tell us, we would respect that you know, you hurt Lucy she thought you would have trusted her more than that, we all did Kara.” James looked sad and almost disappointed, he was trying to be the voice of reason for the moment.
“I know I handled it badly, and I need to fix things I messed up, and I know that, it will take a while for me to get back to where you all trust me again won’t it?” Kara hung her head the guilt making itself apparent in her voice.
“You will, it is going to take time for us, for me, for Winn and even Lena and Jack to trust you again, you hurt us Kara weather you meant to or not you did.” He turned away after saying that and left headed back towards Lucy, who had been looking at them for the last minute.
Kara hung her head and decided it was best if she did not get the watermelon, she would have to tell Eliza why and that would be a whole nother thing. It was her best option, walking away at least for now, on monday she would try and fix things, she would make it up to them, she may not be able to tell them the truth but she will make sure they know how much they mean to her.
She would have to tell Lena that they thought that she had not spoken to her, they would have to figure out what to tell the rest of their friends. Telling them they were dating, were they dating, she was not sure they had kissed twice but it may not have meant the same to Lena as it had to her. That thought was scary, the thought that maybe it would end their two kisses and tha twas all they were over. Those two kisses had ruined her, the soft feel of Lena’s lips was so different than anything she had felt before, she way Lena had smiled after they kissed. She wanted to kiss Lena again, she wanted to do more than that though.
Maybe she could ask Lena out, maybe she could have a future with her, with the amazing genius that was capturing her heart piece by piece. Something about Lena felt like home, it felt like part of her could come back with Lena, and she wanted that piece of her. She wanted to make Lena smile, to be the reason for Lena’s laughter. It was something she had not felt in a long time, she felt as if she had someone who would understand her if only for a while, she knew she had many people to listen but no one seemed to fully understand how she felt how the world seemed to taunt her at times. In Lena she felt that understanding she felt that peace that she had not seen or felt in a long while.

Give us a bulletpoint outline for what your character’s history might look like:
Oliver Queen was born in Star City, California to Robert and Moira Queen in 1972. His father was the owner and CEO of Queen Industries, also based in Star City. He was their only child.
Ollie grew up on the stories of Robin Hood. He idolized the character and his sense of risky, yet fun justice and spent much of his early childhood emulating the character with a toy bow and arrow. As he got older he would graduate to real archery lessons when his interest persisted.
When Ollie was 12 his parents took him on an African safari hunting trip. When a nearby pride of lions were agitated by their presence and attacked Ollie fled to their Jeep and hid at his mother’s urging and was forced to watched as both of his parents were mauled to death by the lions. It was the next day before someone found Ollie.
After his parents death his Uncle gained custody of both himself and the company until such a time as Ollie was ready to take on the responsibility of it and his parents estate himself. Unfortunately as he got older Ollie began to act out, getting involved with drugs, alcohol, anything a rich young man can get his hands on.
Ollie went to college at Metropolis University, where he met Lex Luthor at the house party of a mutual acquaintance. They had sex and when Ollie, to put it gently, refused to leave Lex alone, they struck up a friendship that quickly developed into a relationship.
Ollie’s relationship with Lex was a positive influence on him. Lex was a stable presence in his life, so when he graduated at 21 instead of going home to start the process of bringing the company under his leadership like he was supposed to, he moved into Lex’s apartment in Metropolis.
A few years later their relationship had started to deteriorate with the stress of Lex forcibly taking control of LuthorCorp from his father and Ollie showing no signs of moving on from being a drunken party boy. During one argument Ollie compared Lex to his father, Lionel Luthor, and Lex kicked him out in response. After a few days of unsuccessfully trying to contact Lex to apologize Ollie admitted defeat and finally returned home to Star City.
Angry, feeling guilty, and still reeling from the breakup, Ollie got drunk and took his boat out late one night a few months after his return. He crashed the boat and ended up shipwrecked on the seemingly abandoned and remote Starfish Island. One of the only useful and intact things to wash onto the island with him was a bow that had been used as a prop in a Robin Hood movie. It had been a decorative item on the boat, but nonetheless it was a functional bow which Ollie made good use of.
Ollie spent almost 2 years on the island learning to survive with nothing but what he could make for himself. His new found sobriety and the harsh conditions of the island made him realize just how much of a privileged life he had lived, and just how much he had thus far squandered it. He vowed that if he should make it off the island alive he would be a changed man. His opportunity came in the form of realizing there was a drug smuggling operation on the island. After taking it down he was able to contact help, and was rescued.
Having gotten a taste for vigilantism, and still inspired by the old tales of Robin Hood he’d loved as a kid, Ollie made himself into a costumed hero. At first he would admit later, partly for the attention of it, and then more genuinely once he realized that he was actually making a difference. He gained the attention of the Justice League not long after, and joined their ranks.
Ollie joined the League at the same time as Dinah Lance. Ollie was immediately attracted to her and didn’t bother to make a secret out of it. It wasn’t always smooth sailing, and although it had been several years at that point since Oliver had been involved with anyone, Ollie was content to take things slowly and let them develop naturally.
That proved to be the best decision, as Ollie and Dinah found they worked well as a team and a couple, and began a long lasting romantic relationship between their civilian identities.
At 32 Ollie adopted a teenage boy named Roy Harper, who became known as his sidekick, Speedy. They at times had a very temulchuous relationship, which reached it’s breaking point when Ollie discovered Roy had developed a heroin addiction. Ollie kicked him out in an attempt to shock Roy into getting clean, which only worsened their relationship.
Although still officially his son, Ollie handed guardianship of Roy over to Dinah, and then later Hal Jordan until Roy was able to kick his habit and live on his own. Ollie believed that giving Roy “tough love” would motivate him to kick his addiction. Ollie quickly realized his mistakes in how he handled the situation, but his attempts to mend their relationship were awkward and stilted at best, afraid of being rejected by Roy. Their relationship would take many years to really start healing.
Not long after Roy’s departure Ollie’s neglect of his company resulted in an employee being able to steal the company and most of his fortune from him through corporate fraud. Believe he had lost his way and direction in life Ollie convinced Hal Jordan to go on a road trip with him across the country. One night they were ambushed, and Ollie’s hand slipped on his bow, causing him to accidentally kill one of their assailants. Ollie was horrified. Feeling even more lost he abandoned his identity as Green Arrow and quit the Justice League.
Now directionless in life, shaken from his recent ordeals, and loosing faith Ollie returned to Star City and Dinah, his lover and the only person who he felt really understood him. He asked her to marry him and leave their lives as Green Arrow and Black Canary behind. He believed he and Dinah could be happy together as just civilians; that they didn’t need the danger and excitement of being heroes to sustain their relationship, or be the most important thing in their lives.
Dinah agreed to marry him and they relocated to Seattle, Washington where they opened a flower shop together called Sherwood Florists. For a time they were happy and it seemed like things would be alright. Unfortunately the fear and doubt that had ruled so much of Ollie’s life continued to plague him. His simultaneous desire to return to heroism, and his fear of it caused friction between him and Dinah.
When it became clear that their marriage had taken a turn for the worse Ollie blamed himself and returned to his old favorite vice, alcohol to cope with it. Ollie’s drinking just continued to cause more problems, creating an even larger rift in their relationship, and taking his self doubt and depression to new heights.
The final nail in the coffin for their marriage came when Ollie confessed that he had cheated on Dinah in a drunken haze. Unhappy and unable to continue to be together they divorced after only 2 years of marriage.
Realizing that his own self destruction has caused all the misery in his life Ollie once again set out to “find himself” and ended up at a monastery seeking peace and redemption. A man at the monastery named Master Jensen encouraged Ollie to begin training in archery once again, and to not abandon his heroic identity or the vows he had made to himself on the island. Ollie returned home after several months living at the monastery with renewed confidence in himself and resumed his dual identity as Oliver Queen and Green Arrow.
It is 2017 when Ollie is pulled out of his reality. He has spent the last several years working to make the world a better place both in his civilian and heroic lives.
Interview (Must be answered in character, third person, including both narrative and dialogue. Answer these as if you’re responding to a roleplay reply. Feel free to write as much as you like, but make sure there’s at least a good paragraph for each.)
What would it take for you to switch sides? (hero to villain; villain to hero; neutral to either)
Ollie snorts inelegantly and sprawls a little more aggressively in his chair. Not even the courtesy of a warm up with this one! They’re already at it with the nosey invasive questions.
“Why?” he asks a teasing lilt apparent in his voice. “You trying to give me a bribe? ‘I’ll pay you suchandsuch amount of money if you use your powers for evil and kill this guy.’ What is the going rate for supervillain hits these days? Well, sorry to disappoint, I do alright for myself; don’t need the cash.” It’s a fairly typical deflection for him, not even one if his best. The question picks uncomfortably at his nerves. It’s one he’s asked himself too many times; it’s unsettling to have to answer it.
“Honestly though? I don’t know. I don’t want to know.” Ollie grimaces for effect, and it’s over exaggerated but there’s some truth to the expression too. He’d rather not be thinking about this. “I’ve always thought questions like this were unfair bullshit, you know?” They are, and excuse the fuck out of him for being a little bitter about it. “It isn’t really a question for the bad guys, is it? They’ve already made their choice. Heroes though,” Ollie whistles, and there’s a mean edge to his sarcasm now; he’s not so playful anymore. “That’s a long slippery slope to the bottom, and we’re all just hanging out at the edge aren’t we? So yeah, I don’t know what will make me snap and I don’t want to. I figure the world is a safer place if I can’t answer that question.”
How would you describe yourself? How would your friends describe you? How would the public describe you?
“Roguishly handsome is a good place to start.” He winks, over the top and cheesy because he knows it’ll get a laugh. He’s gotta say he’s not really liking the direction these questions are going in. They’re a bit uh, personal.
“The rest of the answer really depends on which ‘me’ you’re asking about.” Ollie says and it sounds oddly like a confession. “I’m not so caught up in the dual identity thing as some of us but eeeeh” He rubs the back of his neck and there’s a pinch of stress around his eyes. “Sometimes I miss just being Ollie Queen.”
(No he doesn’t. Being Ollie Queen isn’t exactly a nightmare, but it’s a let down. He tried being “just Ollie Queen” and look where that got him. Sometimes he thinks being Green Arrow is the best decision he’s ever made. Sometimes he thinks it’s just an excuse to not have to really deal with the decisions he’s made. Most of the time he doesn’t actually know.)
“I like to think that I’m a good hero” he spreads his hands wide as if to say ‘what can you do’. “But I don’t know what anyone else thinks of me. I could take a pretty good stab at what my ex-wife might say but honestly I’d rather not. I don’t think anyone wants to know for a fact what other people think of them. That’d be a pretty shit existence.”
If you could gain any superpower/swap your superpower for another, what would it be and why?
“Oh no.” He says it immediately, an automatic reaction to the unease the question prompts. “No, none of that bullshit. I’m fine just like this.” And sure it’s not the nicest reaction, it sure as hell isn’t the most PC, but it’s honest. “Look, I don’t have anything personal against metahumans, it’s not about that. The Big Guy is probably the most morally upstanding person I’ve ever met and he’s… whatever the hell he is. I just don’t want to be one. I’m fine being human.”
He is, he really, really is. Ollie spends most of his days surrounded by metahumans, he was married to a metahuman and he can say with certainty that’s it’s more damn trouble than it’s worth. Oh sure, the flashy powers are cool and all, but the collateral damage when something goes wrong? Or when they lose control, get too pissed off to remember they can hurt someone? At least when Ollie gets mad he doesn’t go literally nuclear.
“When people have that kind of power it makes them… a little bit funny. “ Ollie admits. If feels… a little wrong, honestly, to talk about his friends like this but it’s the truth. “There’s a reason non powered people like me are part of the League. We aren’t just pretty decoration, we remind everyone else that most people? They’re squishy and breakable.”
What is a secret you have never told someone?
“I don’t really think that’s any of your business, do you?” He doesn’t mean to snap but come on. What did they think was going to happen if they asked something like that? Everyone has their secrets, no one wants to tell them to some random person asking invasive questions.
There are people who deserve to hear his secrets, but it’s no one in this room. Frankly, and just thinking this makes Ollie squirm uncomfortably, he has some secrets he doesn’t deserve to even keep. Dinah… well there’s lot Dinah should have heard him say. He keeps his mouth shut now because it’s a moot point. Sure maybe it’s something she has a right to know, but what will telling her do? Nothing good, Ollie knows that. The least Ollie can do is not hurt her anymore.
The least he can do is keep his mouth shut about being grateful that they’re divorced.
If there was one choice in your past you could change, what would it be?
Ollie doesn’t know what to do with that question. It feels like there’s almost no right answer because he has so many things he regrets, so many things he wishes he could change. How could he ever pick just one?
They spin like a rolodex of bad decisions and worse luck through his head. If he’d protected his parents- If he hadn’t taken his boat out that night- If he’d never asked Dinah to marry him-. If, if, if. He picks one, and it’s not really the one he regrets the most, but it’s one that he wishes he could change more than anything.
“You know, I really thought kicking Roy out of my house would have the same effect getting washed up on a fucking deserted island would for me. Stupid, right? I still can’t believe I did that sometimes but there you go. That’s what I would change.” The thing if it, is that Roy trusted him. Whatever their relationship was like, for all that Ollie didn’t really know how to be a father and Roy didn’t really want one, he trusted him. Throwing all that trust right back in Roy’s face is one of he worst mistakes Ollie has ever made, and it’s not for a lack of choices.
Sometimes Ollie wishes… well. He wishes and wants for a lot of things he doesn’t really deserve, but mostly he wishes he was a better person. He wishes he wasn’t so damn afraid all the time. He wishes he knew what the right thing is.
If you had one day where you could do anything you want, free of consequences, what would you do?
Ollie doesn’t really have an answer for that question. It’s a long time before he even say anything at all in response to it, and he’s not satisfied with what he does say. “I don’t know.” He says finally with a careless shrug, and it’s that just typical? Some days he wonders if he knows anything.
“I guess I’ve thought of things I want to do.” He explains, “World peace is pretty up there on an decent person’s list but that’s sort of a cop out answer isn’t it? It doesn’t really tell you anything about me. And it’s boring.”
There’s an answer that’s been stewing in the back of his head since the question was asked, but he’s hesitant to say it. It’s selfish, is what it is. Sure it’s theoretical, but would a good person’s answer be selfish? Who knows? Sure as hell not Ollie. “I’d want to have a day where I could spend time with Roy and Dinah without either of them being mad at me.” He admits finally and it feels childish to say. “They’re mad me” well of course they are, they have every right to be. Mostly it just makes him feel like shit because it’s not an impossible thing. He doesn’t need a magical, conseque free day to make that happen. He just needs to get his shit together.
“I think we’re done here.”
Extras
Ollie is the very definition of a self fulfilling prophecy. He doubts and fears something will happen, and so his doubt and fear makes it happen. He’s never quite been able to get out of his own way.
He feels very directionless in life, and he always has.
He genuinely believes that the heroes of the world are good, that they’re doing the right thing. He’s just not sure that he’s the right person for the job.
Still, almost his one conviction in life is that he’s determined to make up for his mistakes, so he’s never quite been able to full let go of the hero life.
Ollie is Bisexual

Could you help me with a reading please? Why am I in denial of my feelings? What am I even feeling? (it is alright if you can't answer this one if I'm not following your guidelines properly) what should I even do? I'm only trying to make sense here. Thank you so much I would appreciate this! My initial is P if it helps.
Well let’s see…
Lex Luthor, The Devil-Well to me this card says you’re trapped by something. Something is holding in place so you can’t move on. This could be a fear of some kind. The Devil is usually the antithesis of The Lovers card. Basically instead of a relationship where things feel open, free, and natural the relationship instead feels like an addiction or toxic to one or both parties. The vibe I’m getting is that maybe you’re in denial because maybe things look too good or that you think that things are going to turn out bad from past fears. The look on Lex’s face seems like someone who got away with manipulating someone else. Like he told a lie and the other person fell for the ruse. I think that you’re listening to fear. They may be some evidence that seemingly backs up those feels but it feels circumstantial at best. Remember that past relationships aren’t the ones you are dealing with currently. Yes, you should take past experiences and learn from them but don’t put those mistakes on others.
Guy Gardener Knight of Swords-Ok so something to avoid is acting out rashly. Take Guy here as an example. In the comics he was a Green Lantern but briefly was a Red Lantern and caused a whole bunch of problems. The best thing for you to do right now is to take a breath and work things out emotionally. Swords deal with the mind and this card is telling you to take emotions out of the picture and look at things logically. What are you afraid of? What is the actual worst case scenario? I have anxiety and I know my thoughts tend to spiral out of control and into “this would never happen” territory. And it’s not till I calm down and actually think things through that I see the true logical of what could actually happen. Think before acting. You don’t want to make a decision that could make things harder for you later on. Deep breath and think it all out.
Zatanna Queen of Wands-Alright so Zatanna had this story arc where she was really messed up emotionally. She lost her confidence and in doing so her magic. It wasn’t until she was able to face her own personal demons that she was able to regain her powers and get back to helping people like she used to. So the solution to all of this is that you need to have faith and confidence in yourself. People make mistakes, we just do there is no going around that. That being said people, when they actually try, do get better. If you are actively trying to better yourself by breaking bad habits and getting rid of toxic people in your life you will get better. Things do get better. Carry yourself with confidence and own everything you do. Strive to be less stressed, more honest with yourself and your feelings, and to let go for fear that doesn’t have any business in your mind.
Hopefully this all helps, let me know ok?
Take care and good luck,
J.S.
