as the 6'0 half of this arrangement yes also this is tagged gn reader despite the she/her pronounce in the request because I never had to mention gendered anything 👍 just some word vomit to feed the Capitano likers

unfortunately the two of you seem to have opposite problems, while you can't reach the high shelves Capitano will store the strangest things on, all of which you seem to coincidentally need at random points in the day. it's always awkward to ask, even knowing that he knows there's no way you can get to it (_ _;)

it barely lessens your embarrassment when he asks you to get things from the lower shelves and cabinets in the kitchen, finding it hard to get down on the floor all the time. you understand it's also awkward for him, but at least he could feasibly crouch down. you don't even have that kind of wonderful excuse. he rarely even asks anyway, only after a day of strenuous training and exercise when his muscles are somehow sore despite him doing that every other day. you don't doubt him but you do wonder what determines his limit

again in the kitchen needing a glass from the high cupboard, you try your best to stretch on your toes, fingers barely grazing that stubborn glass you want. whose idea was it to put those up there?

before you even get a chance to turn and quietly get a chair to avoid the humiliation of simply asking for help (god forbid) you're faced with Capitano watching you from a few feet away and almost jump out of your skin at how startled you were. you always hear him come in but just that one time he'd snuck up on you. what do you say now? 'oh hi honey move now so I can tell you silently that I can't reach instead of verbally'. that's a bad way to phrase that.

"Do you need me to get that?" he asks and you try your best not to look at him to avoid seeing the face he's making. you know in the rational part of your mind he isn't bothered and you're the only one overthinking this. he doesn't care, it's a simple as raising his arm barely above his head and lowering it back down.

unfortunately the rational part of your mind is rather quiet and pales in comparison to the one telling you to say no (-.-)

"I can get it myself." you tell him without even thinking. no you can't. you're still avoiding looking at him, just this time it's so he doesn't see the face you're making. "…but since you're offering anyway."

before you can even explain what you want the glass is on the counter by your side and he's placing a kiss on your temple as he passes you to grab something behind you.

you would however much rather steal his ankles whenever you try to kiss him in public, not exactly the most romantic experience when you probably need a chair for that too. you seldom kiss him at work when he's not sitting down just so that his coworkers won't witness you trying to get up on your toes just to kiss some helmet metal. even though he's irritatingly tall you wait until you go home to take it off, never at work out of respect however it does mean that kissing him won't receive a kiss back.

does he ever think of how strange it is to have to manhandle him down to your height just to avoid asking him to bend over for you? probably not when he can just lean down and carry on his day afterwards. you won't stand such embarrassment in front of his colleagues, you'd rather almost whack your head into said helmet metal

you do get back at him though, like using him as a pillow, and he always has to be the big spoon because there's no point in you ever trying (︶^︶) he'll just have to cuddle you

Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War - two students are in love with eachother but refuse to "lose" and admit their feelings. Instead, they have increasingly convoluted plans to get the other to confess.

Okay I will admit. this Is a romance and also ive only seen the anime. So actually this would fall more under anime recs bcs the english dub voice acting is AMAZING. Anyway tho its a comedy that I really enjoy. Its about romance but like. Idk I dont read/watch romance often so I cant say "its not like the standard romance plot". But its less about them Falling In Love and more about them Overthinking Everything And Being Silly. ALSO !! tho it takes a bit, it does go into the characters a lot. Very centred on the characters relationships !! Not just romantically between the main two, but in general.

Why I think you would like it: similar in "vibe" to nozaki-kun. Funny!! But it has its moments of seriousness and it understands its characters well.

Mushishi - Eye Have Not Read This im sorry 🙏 i havent even seen the anime so I dont actually know much about it but ive been recced it so many times I figure I should pass it to you.

This one is a little sad. More likeeee. Meloncholy, yk? I dont have much to say about it. Very good manga.

Why I think you would like it: The character relationship between the two girls seems like something you would enjoy.

Look Back - to be super honest its been over a year since I read this I dont fully remember what happens. Theres this girl wjo draws comics for her elementary school newsletter. Shes funny so every1 really likes her and her comics. at some point another comic appears, but its actually just four panels of background art. Its so beautifully drawn that the other students begin to fawn over it. Angry kver her loss of attention, the first girl goes to meet the girl making these new comics (The background girl doesnt go to school, she works at home). Thr end up becoming friends and the story shows how their friendship develops and changes, growing closer and growing further apart.

The manga is p short for. a manga but its actually just a Really Long oneshot. Its rlly good. not much else to say.

Why I think you would like it: Very similar to Blue Period. About art and how it reflects people. Also very strongly driven by the relationship between the two girls.

The Girl From The Other Side - ive been typing so much i really cant give a whole review on this. Similar to WHA. kinda. beautiful art. read it u will enjoy it

John "Jack" Robinson (from Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries series) - for making all the most minimalistic reactions feel sooo intense with his voice, his face, his appearence and the way he can blink... He's the coolest quiet guy!❤

Amelie (from Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, 2001, dir. Jean-Pierre Jeunet) - nice, quiet girl who is not best at socialising and doesn't enjoy sex (greysexual?) yet loves to make other people happy. Doing good things without being noticed makes her feel powerful and make her feel like Zorro. I love that she eventually gets some kind of reward for all that and the kissing scene in the end is sooo very sweet❤

Pollyanna (from Pollyanna, 1913 novel written by Eleanor H. Porter) [books counts too I guess?] - for looking at the positive side of every situation, what's more to say? Best way to live your life when you're too empathetic👍

Benton Fraser (from Due South series) - a guy from other realm: elegant, polite and humble, obeying all the rules and still be the smartest and most effective police officer around. Not to mention how handsome and cute he is! (take it for ace version of "hot") and scenes like when he falls into the snow in end credits I could watch forever❤ (so bad his asexual smart-ass potential has been wasted by producers in every next season...)

Young Bilbo Baggins (from The Hobbit, or There and Back Again written by J.R.R. Tolkien) - the book character once more: the guy, who starts up as the classical loser, the smallest in the group, knowing nothing, understanding nothing and being scared of his own shadow - when given a chance proves his potential for the greatest deeds, smartest solving problems and bravest of actions💪And the talking to the dragon on the top of that, OMG!!!🤯 (sorry, but Peter Jackson version packed with CGI and unnecessary stuff for me was emotionally flat as a pancake😩)

Zorro (from Zorro, 1957 Walt Disney series) - ZORRO!!! if that's not self-explanatory I don't know what to say😂

Z (from Ant Z , 1998dir. Eric Darnell and Tim Johnson) - for: "Why does everybody have to dance the same way?"

Sherlock Holmes (from Sherlock BBC series) and Gregory House (from House M.D. series) - well it is technically the same character (like Doctor Who or like James Bond - played by multiple actors): brilliant antisocial detective no matter if he is played by Benedict Cumberbatch or Hugh Laurie. And if not for his stunning personality (you may love him, you may hate him but you can't stay indifferent) - all the undefined interactions, dialogs and puns between Sherlock and John or between Greg House and Lisa Cuddy are just pure gold❤️‍🔥

Howard Brackett (from In & Out, 1997 dir. Frank Oz) - sooo sweet, I consider him my favorite ace movie character💜💚 (the 1990's movie tells him to be "gay" but I'd say it's an obvious misrecognition and I'd need another post to tell more about that guy...😋)

Jareth the Goblin King (from Labyrinth 1986, dir. Jim Henson) - well... that's another guy that I sooo much need another post to talk about😆 Starred by David Bowie, nuff said😎

TEN FANDOMS (don't worry, this part is much shorter):

Labyrinth (1986, dir. Jim Henson) and its fancomic Girls Next Door (I love that in the fancomic Jareth gets muuuch more good time teasing and flirting Sarah!😋) - what to say? Everything is magical and fancy here but never too naive

X-men - a talent that makes you special also makes you an outcast (which is not any different from the real world actually...) Also cool looking action scenes and young Hugh Jackman as the Wolverine.

Collateral (2004, dir. Michael Mann) - I watched it for the first time in 2021 and it became my biggest obsession, hyperfixation and life perspective changing experience❤️‍🔥 (again - most definitely some other post to talk about it) But apart from my madness it's also is just a very good action movie with nice soundtrack. And ppl saying they hate Tom Cruise but loved Collateral says a lot about it!👍

Terminator 2: The Judgement Day. It's like Zorro to me - obssesed since my childhood and never get over it

Fiddler on The Roof - pure perfection

M.A.S.H. series - classic

House M.D. - apart from everything else it was also a great help during medical studies - nice thing when you can memorise weird disease symptoms with an episode😉

Toy Story - fascinating thing to watch every next movie growing up with you - from your childhood problems to middle age issues...

Matrix - hyperfixation of 13 years old me (but the first movie I choose to treat as a whole story)

1. I love him so much its an obsession atp. I can't function a single day not brainrotting about him and when I'm depressed I think of him to feel happy. He's also my muse, the muse that I hate to draw most of the time because I get lost in his eyes and fall in love all over again.

3. How we're not given more insight to his mental decline from a goody two-shoes to cold-blooded and calculated. I understand why it happened but I wish we were given more insight to it. Like How Kaneki Ken's mental decline was shown so beautifully and the representation of his decline is because of his mother and hallucinations of Rize. The field of white spider lilies turning crimson red is such a beautiful allegory that he has embraced the psychotic side of him.

4. Hmmm,,, Wuthering Waves xDD??? I think it's interesting to have Jinwoo there since idk, it just fits his vibes? Post-apocalyptic world with muted colors augh.,,,,, That is so my man.

Everytime I listen to this song I just realize "Damn, I fell for a man who lost himself but in the same time didnt". For me, Fatal Trouble is like Jinwoo xD. In a way that he changed so much it's overwhelming but in the same time you realize he's still him. So whenever I listen to Fatal trouble I just fall in love all over again.

6. Something in common? I guess self-hatred xDD. I hate myself a lot and I feel so inferior. My favourite line from Jinwoo was when he said "I longed to reach for the highest peak". When I read that I knew I was doomed to fall in love with him and him only for life.

My interests for games are unhealthy and I play to be comforted. Jinwoo plays games to be practical and be god gaymer. I'm just there. Would I even talk to him? No. We'd just pass by each other.

11. Date? Hah? Who me??? Yeah, bloody hell no. I can't even be friends with him. And generally, I don't think I'm loveable to a romantic level. Honestly, I'm scared of falling in love. I never had a proper relationship before. I overthink, I read every little thing, I get anxious and have panic attacks when I think I've done something wrong. I've never had a boyfriend. I don't know how real life romance works. I'm generally avoidant of touch too, I don't like skin contact. I don't know. It's just eushdje. I think I'm scared of hurting someone when I touch them. Relationships are supposed to make you happy, no? Yeah, I don't think I'll be happy because my mindset is unhealthy. "Oh, you like me? Let's see how far you really want to go. See? I'm right." AMAZING STUDY TIPS FOR EXAMS

Hello everyone~ Now that the exams are finally scheduled, it's necessary to plan your time properly in order to ace it. Below are some points I have learnt in these past years which is also helping me a lot!📝👍

#1 Revise, but smartly. 📚

I know. Many of the students feel confused in the last moment as to what to do and what to read exactly now that the time is less. So, one great option is to switch to online lectures provided by different institutions. They are quick and will be easy to understand. A heads up, do not always just watch lectures. It is also important to self study. So, when you are free, take your notes and just give it a read.

#2 Do not OVERTHINK. 😵

As exams approach near, anxiety and stress takes place in our mind. Negative thoughts tend to occupy our mind, making us more distracted from our work. This problem has got only one solution. Try to focus yourself on your work. Think how many more works do you have to cut off from your today's to do list. Don't panic. You will be okay and these thoughts will never come to your mind.

#3 Take breaks, do something you love.🥰

Have you ever seen a machine working non stop? What's the result? It becomes damaged after some time, right? The same goes with your body. While it's important to devote yourself to studies, it's also important to free your mind for sometime, so that when you start your next study session, you will feel refreshed rather than being tired. In breaks, try to do something you love. For example, you can make your favorite drink, listen to some music, comb your hair, paint, or just look at the nature. Remember, rewarding yourself will make you feel that studies are fun, and not a burden.

#4 Take a break from Social Media. 📱

This is vital. I see it as the main thing that distracts many aspirants from their goal and stunts their potential. Even if it's for a week, delete your social media from your cell phone. If you find it difficult, then you can put a lock in your phone when you study, so that you can't easily access them.

#5 You are important. Take care of yourself. 😇

I have seen how much of a havoc CoVID 19 caused. So, it's necessary that you should be fit, both mentally and physically. Study, but don't burn yourself out. Ensure that you are sleeping for at least 6 hours per day. Meditate, dance to your favorite music, or do things in your leisure time that make you happy.

ooh, interesting :) uh.. it varies a lot 😂 i love izzy, i think she's sweet and smart and determined, sometimes she gets caught up in her emotions and what she feels is right and pushes too hard but, well, they all have flaws. she and alec are more similar than i think they realize; they both suffered a lot in silence growing up, they just hide it in completely opposite ways.

i have a love-hate relationship with clary. i love how recklessly determined she is, her intensity of feeling, her devotion. i don't love how unobservant and callous she can be at times and how narrow-minded she is about her goals. i like that she questions the rules, i don't like that she questions everyone and everything all the time as if anyone who disagrees with her must be wrong. and so on 😂

i don't really love jace, he's just too myopic for my taste (maybe that's just the overthinker in me but i can't stand when people don't think things through 😂) he also seems to have that issue where he thinks people are completely against him if they disagree on something... idk. i do have sympathy for him, and kind of understand why he is the way he is based on what he's gone through.

who else is a main.. oh simon 😂 i don't really have a lot of strong feelings about simon, not sure why 🤷‍♀️ he seems like a good guy though, i definitely don't dislike him or anything 😅

i love maia, i think she's awesome. i love how she can be so soft around people she loves but always stands up for herself. i love how principled she is, and her journey to become pack leader is great 👍

probably gonna neglect some people but alas... hmm cat raphael & meliorn... it should be no surprise that i love cat, i like how she’s incredibly kind but also super hardcore when necessary. i never really include raph and meliorn in anything... i guess i should... i mean i have like neutrally positive feelings about both of them 😂 i don’t think the show necessarily did raphael the most credit tbh..

Let's see... I want to ramble about Apartment tonight. 😄 I'd put the whole thing under a cut but apparently I can't do that on mobile anymore!👍

As you probably already know, I've been writing it to have strong elements of absurdity, but the more I get through the plot, the more I feel that it's definitely a special kind of absurd...

If I'm being honest, I'm worried. I'm worried that readers will go into this expecting one thing and come out of it disappointed. Of course I'm still being very true to the original vision of the story and nothing about the main ideas have changed, it's just that I've added a more literary twist to the whole thing. I personally like where it's going, but I am concerned that most readers might not understand or enjoy the more literary aspects of it.

I don't like to underestimate the intelligence of my readers, so it isn't about that. It's just that most people pick up a suspense book (that may also be a tiny bit thriller) and aren't necessarily expecting a literary analysis of human nature - and, to be frank, quite possibly a bad and pessimistic one at that. 😅 It's my first time writing something with intentional literary elements. I guess I just want to make sure that I'm not making it hard to understand for readers, especially as I use magical realism to support a lot of those literary elements.

So that's a bit of a downer 😂 In happier news, I'm almost done with the manuscript! I have about 6 scenes left to write, give or take a few more. That's super exciting! After that I do final edits and have considered getting together an Early Stage Reader Group (beta reader group, but I decided I didn't really like that term and came up with my own) of my most enthusiastic supporters of this WIP just to see if it fulfils their expectations or of it was a disappointing read. From there, the plan is to edit again with their feedback in mind and yeah 😊 I don't want to overthink it! I just want to get through this novella and make something decent.

Phew! So that's an update on my Apartment WIP! I won't talk about my others because this has already been long enough 😅
